I first met Doctor Zak 2017, he is amazing doctor. He is knowledgeable and kindhearted person. I keep all my appointment to keep track my good hygiene. Surprisingly the technology made me happy specially now they have no drill and no injection option, this option really works and I’m feel anxiety’s free. It’s such a cool and pleasant office. Dr Toosie and his assistant work together and make everything perfect.

After taking my X-rays they proceeded to schedule an appointment with one the dentist, which I had. After the appointment I wasnt able to ask the dentist questions, the nurse wanted to me to signs forms that I understood what treatments the dentist wanted to preform on me and what he recommenced, but this treatment list was over 11,000 and stated that if my insurance did not cover some of the procedures I was responsible and had to pay out of pocket. I did not even want or need some of the procedures listed and they still wanted me to sign this form before getting my teeth cleaned. On top of the fact that they required a Co-pay which if you have Dentical you are NOT required to give a co-pay nor are they suppose to ask for one.

My daughter-in-law was trying to get an appointment because one of her teeth was bothering her. She called a couple of times over a 3 week period and was told twice that they would call her back. They never did. Her tooth got infected and I had to take her to Kaiser urgent care. Afterwards, I called Zak Dental and was told that they would escalate her case and call her back the next day. They never did. At this point I am going to have them contact their insurance company about this negligent service so that they can find a dentist that can care for their needs. I may do the same since I have Zak Dental in Long Beach.

I only wanted a cleaning! I was told that I needed to have a complete set of x-rays along with a panoramic view and photos. Still, before I could obtain a cleaning appointment, I had to have a virtual appointment so they could try to “sell me” their treatment plan and get this, after talking to the virtual dentist another “used car type sale person” says your visit was 10k but your portion is $5800.00. How would you like to settle this? I said all I wanted was a cleaning! So, a gingival cleaning is $120.00, which I had to pay upfront for a next month appointment.Wait, it gets better…. Yet another “used car type sale person” comes on the virtual to try to schedule an appointment for 2023. Of course, I said no, she said, I could cancel it. So today, they texted and scheduled an appointment for me anyway.In my complete 40 years of healthcare experience, I have never felt so disregarded as at this dental group. The client shall always be at the center of any health plan if it is to be successful! Proceed at your own risk.

During my assessment and virtual consultation, I’ve learned that my teeth is in initial stage of damage. According to my doctor, SMART treatment is suitable for my case, which is another breakthrough In dental technology. The SDF was applied topically to my molar and just like magic!” Thanks to the entire team of Dr. Zak. They made me comfortable the whole time. Tabitha, Merlyn and Dr Zama are all awesome!

I called on the 13th of june to request a refund for services i paid that i never got i didnt get a call back till June 17th from Lyn which said she would make sure they send me my refund and that it would take 7-10 business days well its been 26 days since i spoke to them and neither have received my refund, nor do they ever answer the phone i have called more than 17 times but my call never goes through.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Ill start off by saying my initial x-ray and consult went well. My treatment went fine as scheduled but then I ran into major problems with getting an occlusal guard made and thats when things went horribly wrong. I had to repeatedly go in person to the office - three times to get the impressions done and they still could not get it right. First, I had Tabitha who did not take the time to review my needs and then denied not helping me when I confronted her about the issue. Then Dr. Toosi who could not make the dental guard work for me but still sent me home with a poorly fitted night guard because I just had to try it out. Then my treatment specialist Gina who assured me that all my concerns would be handled when in fact they werent and thats when my phone calls and email messages went ignored by both Gina and Zak Dentals online system. So I had to make three more trips back to the office in person to return my dental guard and get a refund. Sandra the office manager was not very helpful once I refused to schedule another appointment and requested a refund. Im very disappointed with how the staff at Zak Dental handled this issue and the poor customer service I received. I do not recommend this office and will not return again.

I came to the office with acute pain on Thursday morning, there was a whole day ahead to help. Before I made emergency requests, they called back only after 3 hours. They refused to help during the day, gave a prescription for antibiotics. The pain intensified, the cheek was very swollen. No emergency help! Did not provide medical assistance - no one knows or decides anything! You can not call them... Always have a problems with call back, and make appointment, and get information. Often made mistakes with treatment plan. Long line for appointment and then long waiting time inside, before and during pandemic. Bad service!!!

I so want to love this place, but I just don’t. It’s such a challenge to make appointments, and for the past two years they have made it so you need three separate appointments (one for X-rays, a separate one to talk to the dentist, and a third for the actual cleaning.) I’ve also had issues with them overcharging for a cleaning, and it’s impossible to get the money back. They’ve also made errors on their end regarding my appointment, and it’s impossible to schedule another one within a timely manner. I will be changing dentists ASAP.
