WORST DENTAL OFFICE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO - I went there for a routine cleaning and less than a day later my permanent retainer broke. After a battle of trying to get a hold of someone via phone and email, and barely any help, they decided to fix the broken retainer. This was after hours and hours spent holding on the phone and no email response. Shortly after they replaced the retainer, a gap appeared in my two front upper teeth, even though the retainer was supposed to last up to 20 years. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. They are unhelpful, unorganized, refused to fix their own mistakes, and unprofessional. I had to pay $2100 to fix this issue, considered taking legal action, and will be telling all local people to never go to this place.
I love this place. Ive been looking for a good dentist in the Long Beach area and finally found a place that I truly love. The place is very professional and staff is great. The equipment in this office is better than any other dental office that Ive been to. So far, I have had a deep cleaning and crown down here... both went well and I am quite impressed. Most of all, the people here really make you feel like family. Special hello to Tabitha as she really made the transition to this dental office easy. Look no further... Zak Dental office is the place to be.!
My daughter and I have had a great experience here. Our first visit was lengthy but VERY thorough! All of the equipment is amazing and made me feel like I had been missing out on services at my last dental office. I have told all of my family about them and they now come and love it as well. Dr. Williams and staff have been awesome. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
Thank you Rony, RDA, for his great service. He was gentle and accommodating. We had great conversation while he did my x-ray. Rony was kind enough to approached one of the dentist to ask for opinion about my case. At the end, I asked for extra wax for my braces and willingly he gave me what I needed. Zak dental is lucky to have Ron on their team.
Awesome Dental team! I had the WORST cavity and needed to have the tooth extracted. I was able to get in for the initial exam and then the visit with the actual doctor within 1 week of finding them. They knew how much pain I was in and managed to get my extraction appointment withing the following 2 days! They are very attentive and friendly to their patients. Im glad I found this Dental office. My previous dental office is no longer covered by insurance and now I moved to Dr Zak. This is office is very professional, Dr Toosie and Tabitha helpful very calm and gentle. I am glad they accept my new insurance.
Never going back. During my last visit I was told I owed money from services over a year and a half ago. When I asked for a bill I was told they would not provide me one and my lack of payment would go to collections.The dentists that provide the diagnosis are not even in the office, everything is virtual which also resulted in me getting the wrong type of retainer that I paid over $500 for.When talking with the dentist you also feel like you are at a car dealership or car mechanic. You are constantly being pushed to buy things that are not necessary. Ive never been treated this way by a dentist office.Lastly, the cleaning I had was terrible and the hygienist didnt even polish my teeth at the end. Dont go to Dr Zak Dental!
Ive had more poor experiences than good ones at this dentist. I was stuck going here because my insurance company only gave me a few options of dentists. .and let me tell you, even though I offered to pay cash for faster and better service, they let my teeth rot until I agreed to get a credit card through them! They should be sued for malpractice..they charge you for all the work prior to receiving care and then make it practically impossible to get rapid care. Typically I had to wait a month or two for EACH freaking tooth to be taken care of..after I receive all the procedures theyve charged me for, Im quickly going to search for a new dental office!Dont go here unless you have the best insurance or they treat you like you dont matter...OH And FYI, be cautious believing all their great reviews, as they offer their patients a discount for work if they leave great reviews...
It’s been about nine years since I’ve seen a dentist. Dr. Williams was excellent and so was the staff! Peter who did my teeth cleaning with the assistance of Merlyn and they both made me feel very comfortable. Ferdy at the front desk is super nice and helped me schedule my appointment! Great experience after such a long time.
Had a great experience today with an initial consultation and exam. The examining Dr. was very skilled and informative and took her time explaining prescriptive procedures. The billing specialist to all the office staff were truly excellent. Very impressed compared to other Dentists I have visited. I’ll send another update once I receive the scheduled treatment.
***UPDATE***They used to be a reputable company, but within the last 8 months their level of service has plummeted. Im being charged more than what was quoted for my daughters braces and they are debiting my account WITHOUT authorization. It takes FOREVER to get in contact with anyone to resolve these matters and their scheduling horrendous. Im ready to move my business elsewhere. Ive tried reaching out to their office manager and regional manager and got nowhere! Im still waiting on the results on an audit that was done in September!! This is unacceptable service.I love Zak Dental! I had an issue with an Orthodontist last month and had to complain to Ferdie about the treatment I received from him. Ferdie was courteous and took my complaint seriously. I was presently suprised to see another Orthodontist this time, Dr. Emamy. She was courteous and friendly right off the bat. She took the time to answer my questions and my daughter was grateful for her gentleness when examining her braces! Thank you guys for addressing my concerns and implementing wonderful service again!
I hadnt been to a dentist in over 3 years before coming here and couldnt have been happier about the decision to place my care in the hands of the Dr. Zak team! Every encounter and appointment has been helpful, friendly, and educational with this staff. Sandra, Jessica, and Ferdy are both professional and personable with my paperwork and appointments. All of the hygienists and dentists are patient and are thorough when explaining my care and what steps I need to have a healthy smile. If I could give this place 6 stars I would!
Ive been coming here for about 4 years now. The office is very clean, professional, and punctual. The entire staff is also very friendly and welcoming from the moment you walk in the door! Not to mention, Berna and Freddie always make sure to accommodate any needs I may have -- financial or personal, during my visit. I will always recommend Dr. Zaks office to any of my friends and family for top quality care!
I enjoy this dental office so much ! From positive professional attitudes to sympathy in every case , they can not be beat. All staff are absolutely wonderful and go above and beyond to meet each and every clients needs. They offer thorough treatment plans and explain everything until YOU understand. Everyone is so friendly and the staff is very professional. All the equipment is high tech and very updated. About 5-6 people worked on my teeth and they were all very detail oriented and did not rush. They took me through all the steps and made sure I understood the process. I love this facility. Parking is accessible and staff is very friendly. During this covid-19 quarantine, staff was well prepared and made all necessary arrangements to keep everyone safe. Very professional dentists and all the assistants explain procedure well for us parents to understand and answer questions we have. I’ve received services for myself and I’ve also brought my kids and I am thankful that we can all come to one dentist office for all of our needs. Dr. Toosie is the best.
I recently switched dentists after hearing about Dr. Zak in Long Beach. I went in this morning and was pleasantly surprised by Dr. Williams who did my exam, Dawn who checked me in, and Nara who handled my paperwork. They were all so sweet and accommodating and extremely helpful. My family loves Dr. Zaks long beach dental care. The staff is so nice and welcoming. The place is very clean and inviting. The service is just spectacular. Some of the staff like Jerilee, Vanessa, Dawn are just the few people that make Dr. Zaks the best it can be. I would recommend this place to anyone that needs dental care. You wont be disappointed.
Got my first cleaning today with Peter! It was so fast and easy! I felt very comfortable and they listened to all of my concerns and answered all of my questions. I never felt rushed and I was taken back to my appointment very quickly from my arrival time. I will recommend this office to my friends and family. My husband also gets his dental work done here (bridges and implants), and has been so happy throughout his whole experience.
I like how they care for patients. Always observing social distancing and following state guidelines. Very friendly staff. I always feel comfortable going to this dental office and makes me eager to come back for future appointments.

Thank you.--Apparently this isnt other peoples experience, since the reviews are generally positive. But I just had a terrible experience at Zak Dental in Long Beach. I didnt even get to know the dentists name. He didnt ask my name. During the procedure he stabbed the novocaine in there without any introduction. He was very rushed and irritable and kept yanking on my face. I told him that it hurt and he kept doing it and seemed really irritated. When I needed a break, he just got up and left. No asking are you ok, or are you ready to start again, no warning about what might taste bad or hurt, no explanation of what he was doing. He kept saying that I couldnt keep my tongue out of the way. No dentist has ever complained about that in my 56 years. He just walked off at the end of the procedure, which was a new crown, and didnt say goodbye, he didnt say see you later. So it was really dehumanizing and terrible. I dont know how else to put it, but I came home in tears because I felt like I didnt get treated with the compassion that I should have been. I still dont know who treated me. I know that they are rushed right now, but that was awful. And Im paying 800 dollars for the privilege.That said the staff were amazing. Kind and friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Dont want my review to reflect negatively on them.And I have to go back for the permanent crown.An aside, my dads a dentist, retired, and I usually like dentists.They tell me that I saw Dr. Toossi. His reviews are all great here. I did not have the same experience. I do not know why.
This is my first time in 10 year going to the dentist. I was nervous at first but the amazing staff here gave me a sense of family. I began to feel happy and priviledged to be here. My appointment today was fast and easy. With their exceptional customer service I was able to feel at home the second I arrived. I had the amazing opportunity to meet with Nara and she was able to give me an abundant amount of information on my oral car. I also was able to get some input on possibly pursuing a career in this field. Overall it is the best dentist I have ever been to in my young life, I got tons of communication from the staff, for example Fredy was very helpful in the front on giving me so much information and ideas on how I can get the best treatment for a root canal I have. This is a very welcoming and safe environment I would recommend to all who is think about coming to Dr.Zaks Long Beach Dental Care.
Loved my experience! Dr. Williams is so kind and knowledge. I feel confident going in every time because I know Ill get proper treatment. The office always sends me a text or phone call to remind me about my upcoming appt, which is helpful because I tend to forget. The staff here is courteous, helpful, and makes sure you know whats going on instead of just sitting there. Highly recommend coming here for all dental needs!
I’ve been going to the Long Beach location for awhile and I’m glad I found this place. They have ample free parking and they are usually well staffed. Office is easily accessible and clean. If you’re always cold like me, take something warm to put on - especially in the summer! They have an online contact request system that makes it easy to get appts or call-backs/customer support as needed. Super helpful!
Ive been trying to make an appointment for the past year and a 1/2 called many times left many voicemails and emails and no call back Im so frustrated and Im ready to transfer my service my husband currently lost his insurance so we need to pay cash but how am I supposed to make an arrangement if they never answer their phone or return their calls.
Unbelievably friendly, kind, knowledgeable, confidence inspiring and wonderful. They are always great but every time there is some special thing that surprises me. Today I came in with my two kids who are one and four and the amazing ladies at the front desk kept them occupied while I got my x-rays the dental assistant distracted my daughter while I got my teeth cleaned and in general everyone was just super super nice and most importantly, patient. I can’t say enough nice things about everyone who works here.
Quick service! Ive gone here all my life! I used to cry before coming; today, I was able to record myself getting a shot! The quality service is great! My doctor was very attentive to any concerns I had. I cant believe how painless the shot was administered, & how fast the whole process completed! Looking forward to continuing my dental work here!
Dr. Zaks office is amazing. I am always welcomed with a great customer service from any front desk assistant working. Jennifer had been wonderful with answering any questions or concerns that I may have, which made me feel more comfortable. Ive come here 15 years ago for a two chipped teeth and I have never been to any other dentist office since. Located not far from my home, this is the perfect location. Every dentist I have encountered has been the upmost amazing, from my experience they are very calm, patient, and best of all very caring. The environment is very inviting and comfortable. I have so much work to be done on my teeth and they are so understanding and willing to work with me through all of this. I really appreciate Berna as well, she is so sweet and helps me understand any financial issues I may be having. I love this Dentist office, they are clean, nice, and like I said before they really do care. My son and I have been a patient here for about 6months. We are very happy with the service here. Both the front and back office staff are very friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend Zak Long Beach Dental Care to anyone interested in dental care.
Had my first appointment here and the staff was incredible! Everyone was so so friendly. Tony took my x-rays and made me feel very comfortable and understood how unpleasant certain x-rays can be. Nora was very nice and took the time to explain everything that was going to take place during my exam and reviewed everything with me after. I believe my doctor was Dr. Williams? (I could be wrong with some of these names, I’m terrible with names) she was awesome so friendly and funny, got me laughing when I was on the verge of a freak out and thoroughly explained my situation and answered all of my questions. I really hope she is my dentist every time I go in, probably the best I had in a long time. Minus 1 star because I did have to wait for a long time. My app. Was at 2:30 and I didn’t get seen til 3:45 however I was checked on often and apologized too, it didn’t seem like that was the norm for them just an off day. Also minus a star because it is difficult to get an appointment, I had to make my appointment 2 months out for just the check up and another 2 months out for the actual cleaning and fillings.
Although I had an appointment I had to wait a long time, every time. I had a beautiful smile before getting veneers on my 2 front teeth and they ruined my smile. I now have 2 yellow front teeth because apparently they didnt know how to give veneers that match the rest of my teeth! It was a painful process every time I had to tell them I did not think the veneers look good, so I finally just let them put them on. They look awful! I do not recommend this place. I now have a new dental office!
I came for an appointment on June 10, 2019 for a cracked filling. All of the staff members were attentive, from the front office receptionists to the doctor himself. My procedure was quick and painless. I highly recommend Dr. Zak Long Beach Dental Care to everyone. They will treat you with the best service ever!!!
This past weekend I had an emergency with my 16 year old son. I didnt have an appointment either. The staff was helpful and sympathetic to my problem. Peter comforted me because I was so upset with what happened to my son. The staff was on their way to lunch and they took my son right away. I was so happy and relieved, if not I would have waited an extra 2 hours before he was seen. I could have gotten them lunch because of the response . Thanks to Peter, Tabitha and Dr. Ibarra, they assisted me right away. I left Western Dental for a reason and came here over a year ago and I love it. They know me and they know my kids when we come in for appointments. My kids love Dr. Williams and she is the only doctor the kids see. We love Tony too. Thanks Dr. Zak Long Beach staff for a great job you guys do.

I started going here the beginning of the year not knowing what I was going to get myself into especially at least 5 years without checkups... but coming here really helped me understand a lot more in why I should really keep up with dental hygiene can go a long way... they even set you up with someone advising you with a little camera where you can view what will need some work for your teeth and I found that amazing because most places Ive been to just tell you what you need and just show you an X-ray of whats going like we would understand what were looking at.All in all this place has great service and now we have the whole family coming here
Hands down my favorite dentist office. First off the staff is welcoming and friendly, which is a must for me. They also take you in right away unless they are under staffed, which is understandable.Expect your first vist to stay for a while after that about an hour or so depending on the treatment. They will also work with you for payment plans and make it super easy to get what you need done. They have a 👍up from me ☺
Decided to go there just because my daughter was going to speech therapy next door. Nice, new remodeled office but.Always waiting at least 30 (usually longer)minutes for kids checkup that lasts 5 minutes. Rescheduling an appointment is ridiculous - they have to request the office to call you back.Fixing the fillings they did wrong and not coming back again.
Great experience! Its a dentist visit, which we all dont love, but they make it as painless as possible.My schedule is tough to coordinate appointments and they work with me to ensure my exam and cleaning appointments are back to back.
No matter what time of day, you will be waiting an extended period of time to be seen or given any service. I have had a handful of appointments at this office and am never taken on time. If youre late, theyd charge you. But no worries, you dont get to charge them for sitting and waiting for 25+ minutes.Today was my last appointment - waited in the waiting room 10 mins, took some x-rays for 5 mins, was taken to a room to see the dentist, no one came in for 10 mins, so I left. Id rather find a dentist who is punctual and professional......all I need is a nice cleaning.Literally this office is a WASTE. OF. YOUR. TIME.

Dr Williams, Nara, and Ferdy are awesome and the service is top notch. Peter and Merlyn make regular teeth cleanings quick and painless. The front desk gets me in and out and is always friendly no matter how hectic the office gets.
I had a wonderful experience from the beginning to the end. My treatment was over the course of three months and every time I came to the office I was impressed. I am not a big fan of dentists, however, Long Beach Dental changed my mind. They immediately made me feel relaxed and comfortable. I trusted the initial consult and have enjoyed every visit. Everyone in the office is genuinely sincere and professional. I was a patient of Dr. Grant and wasnt sure if I was going to stay with the new team. Well, theyve convinced me to stay. Long Beach Dental is the dental practice for me!
I love this place, my oral care is always excellent. My secret is I always visit Dr Zak regularly. Its true, they educate me so I can properly take care of my dental needs. No cavities, healthy gums. I would like to start off by great customer service! As soon as I walk in the front desk the ladies welcome me with a warm hello and ask how my day was and if the time is there theyll have a conversation with you about anything. The dentists are more than just your dentist, they become your friend. The new technology is a great big help. I used to go to this same dentist before it was under Dr. Zak. Before Id just go in and out for a cleansing because my teeth were perfect. Under Dr. Zaks, I found out I had an inflection in my mouth and that I needed braces. Overall, wonderful employees that really care for your teeth and great services. Thank you.
Dr. Zak’s dental is amazing! One of THE best dental offices I have ever been to. I canceled my appointment 5x or more and the front office staff gladly rescheduled me to a time convenient for my work schedule. The dental assistants and hygienists are professional. Dr. Williams, Dr. Sanjari, and Dr. Karnakova have excellent bedside manner and explained all the details of my dental plan. I will be continuing my care with this office.
The staffs here at are very friendly and assisting. The services I have received have been efficient. There hasnt been a problem after the procedures (deep cleaning/follow up). I would recommend this to anyone whos looking for friendly and professional in the dentist field.

LOVED THIS DENTIST!! I have visited 2 dentist here in Long Beach and both I had a bad experience with the staff and with the service they provided. Therefore I found Dr. Zack on yelp and because of there high reviews I decided to give it a chance. I was glad I made that decision. When I first got there I was nervous since I have had issues in the past but rite away they made me feel very comfortable. They offered me and my wife a drink while we waited (which our wait was about 5 min which was fast) than they took me into the back room for x rays and to start my exam. Nora helped me out a lot she explained to me a lot of what the dr was going to do beforehand and made the environment very welcoming. I usually get a lot of anxiety when I visit dentist but I felt good about the visit already. She was very friendly and professional. Than Dr. William came in and talked to me before hand about anything that I may be concerned with and asked if I have any allergic reactions and/or if I am taking any medications which showed a lot that she cared about what she does. She than proceeded and did all the exams. She was very realistic about everything and what I needed work on rite away and what I could wait on but needed. She explained everything well and answered every question I had. After my exams I went back with Nora to discuss the costs and what I wanted to get done first. She was very nice again and explained everything and the payment plan I can get and went thru everything with detail. Update to 4 stars : the office manager immediately called me to address an unfortunate front desk incident regarding improper behavior/bickering surrounding their scheduling process. As usual with her, she was professional, genuine and courtesy with me.I have been going here for over almost 2 years and LOVE all the different doctors I have engaged with, the assistants,checkout staff & Berna! Their Office Manager goes out of her way to assist. Unfortunately the office has suffered from having some front desk/check in associates lacking empathy and customer service skills. It seems like they are working to improve that.
My experience with the staff on today’s visit were super helpful from beginning to end especially Ferdi who was super helpful with my appointment times and payment schedule and also Nora who helped me with my dental plan. I definitely would recommend anyone here the staff are super friendly and more than helpful. I would give this place and staff six stars out of five if I could!
Love this place I had my deep cleaning today and this is my very first where I had the minimum amount of pain. I actually found it relaxing that I just want to close my eyes and take a nap. Staffs are super friendly where I felt like they are my family I would definitely have all my dental work in this location. Place is clean and very welcoming. Very short wait time. Marlyn was great today! she took her time to explain everything me. she showed me how to floss well and if i had any questions, i could just come and ask her without appointment. Wow!! So I am a big baby when it comes to getting my teeth done. Thus the reason I have so many dental problems. During Covid-19, I called so many places and I was recommended to Dr.zak. From step 1) the in person appt to the telecommunication 1 on 1, it is been a wonderful experience!! The office is spotless, everything is disinfected and you can see they care about the staff safety as much as your own. As a healthcare professional who also has to work during this time, I appreciate healthcare professionals taking care of their staff. If you are a scaredy-cat like me, a germaphobe, need a lot of care, this is the place. Thank you Dr.Zamas, Ferdy, Angie and the whole staff, for the great work and goody bag. I have been going here for a year. The dentist are great, although you will rarely have the same one. I am in the final stages of one dental implant which has taken much longer because of covid.There are two things I dont care for and if it wasnt five minutes from my house, I would look for another option. The front office staff while very friendly are awful at scheduling. Once I waited 45 minutes only to be told the dentist was running late and I would have to be rescheduled for the next day. Today after waiting six months for the next step in my dental implant plan I was told it was a post-op appt. Then why did I come in two months ago for a post-op appt. The periodontist comes in once a month. If I wanted to drive to the Valley I could see him sooner. Im so tired of having a huge hole where my molar was in my mouth. Plus it cost me $4000!!! Im livid today!!The other thing I really dont like is that the front office doesnt answer the phone. Because they have multiple locations, the calls go to what I believe is a call center in the Philippines. It is quicker for me to drive to the office than try to talk to someone.
What an amazing experience today has been! I just got my teeth cleaned by Merlene and it actually felt really good. I didn’t experience any discomfort or pain and Merlene showed me a superior way to floss. (I trust her because she has beautiful teeth!) Yesterday I was with the radiologist (Hi Tony! Thanks for making it easy for me!) and the doctor (Hi Dr. Williams!), who was so professional and well informed. She actually showed me a live video feed of my teeth and taught me that I have a rare bone at the roof of my mouth. At the end, Nara went over my treatment plan with me and showed me my options as well as printed me out the entire agreed plan. I am confident and excited to complete my treatment here. Thank you Dr. Zak!!!
Wonderful service. The staff is very friendly and take the time to teach you about your teeth. They make sure you understand what is going on and why they recommend things. This is a place that cares for their patients and is not just trying to get money out of you.
Dr Ajayi was extraordinary. He listened to me, addressed my concerns fully, and was exceptionally gentle. As usual, the entire staff I dealt with today were friendly, competent, and respectful. Love this place! Dr Williams and Berna are also amazing.
Yes, absolutely! I have never been comfortable with the dentist, but I must say they were very gentle, quite thorough, very professional, and best of all it didn’t hurt. The office staff is so helpful and make sure you get exactly what you need. Thank you Dr. Zak and staff.
I used this facility before I moved out of the area so I scheduled an appointment for a check up. Worst decision ever. Office staff don’t know what they’re doing. I kept on getting text messages after my appointment was set up telling me that my appointment time has changed, called the office and they said my appointment remained the same. Day before my and my son’s appointment I got a call saying that we weren’t assigned to their dental group. I called insurance and had it changed to a different dental office without a problem. I will not be visiting this office ever!
This is the best dentist office that I have been too in a very long time. The office staff is so friendly and the drs are great. First time in a long time that I dont feel like I walked in to a used car sales lot. I havent had an upgrade service pushed once. Dr even went as far to say that it wasnt really needed but it was an option. Thanks for everything. Amazing answering service Diane and Jefflyn. Thank you guys!

Called on an emergency basis because my bridge broke. They fitted me in and were ABSOLUTELY PROFESSIONAL, BUT FAMILY LIKE in their easy manner. Me (with my dental phobic lil tushie), was comfortable with the entire time in the office. EVERYONE there was accommodating and friendly. My first visit with Dr Del Campo was 1 of the most pleasant and wonderful experience. I was accomodated right away . Getting my filling done was quick and was done professionally,no discomfort of any sort and was done in a timely manner. I would not hesitate to go back and would recommend her if you need your teeth done.
Peter and his assistant were the best. I have not been to the dentist in over 12 years because of an over the top dental phobia. Because of this, I needed a DEEP cleaning. I am so excited that I am over my dental phobia. I had to have it done in two sessions and while I was super nervous about the first one...when I had the second one two days later I was fine. he made sure I was not in pain and he explained to me what was going on every step of the way to ease my anxiety. I have an HMO dental plan and many people think that you cannot get great dental care if you are not spending PPO money. Well Dr. Zaks staff has proved them wrong. From the clerical staff to the dentist that did my initial consultation to the billing person to Peter who did the heavy work, it was an awesome experience.
The office has been great taking care of me. I have alot of apprehension when it comes to going to the dentist and they have taken care of my every concern and offered exceptional service at every turn. When I was in pain they took me the next day and helped resolve the issue. The staff is excellent and knows how to really listen and take care of the patients.

I have been here for a few months now and I have had a great experience. I got three fillings done and have not had a problem with them. The staff here are nice and very professional, especially the manager Angie and one of the staff named Eddie.
Very nice they were quick to response. The care and ask a lot on how you are feeling and if you are comfortable. They take their time and don’t rush and make sure everything is good.

This dental office is so good! They make sure you understand what treatment youre getting and why. Theyre all very clear and thorough when explaining. From the x-Ray technician to the dentist, they all made me feel very comfortable and confident.
Flossing, every six months visit, and proper diet makes me great every time I see my Dentist, you are awesome Dr Zak, truly cares for me.. Of course Shanttel is always there for me. Two thumbs up 👍 👍

If only I could rate this with Zero stars...We consistently wait an hour or more after the scheduled appoint time. Workers here lack manners and basic patient care/ inter-personal skills. They have zero skills with children, my son hates and fears the dentist because of his experience here. The orthodontist is a complete nightmare, very rude and only sees patients every other Wednesday. It is impossible to maintain regular visits unless you miss school and work extensively. I cannot wait to change providers. If you are searching for a dentist or orthodontist, do NOT consider this office.
They force you into dental plans that they say your insurance doesnt cover. And when you are not happy with their services as we were not, getting mad at them & requesting for your funds back they threaten that you may not get service funds NOT rendered cuz you yelled at them. The dental staff is great ..its the office/front desk/ phone staff that are horrible & provide horrible service. And the same woman that takes calls for the general number is noisey & wants to know detailed reasons to why you need to speak to specific staff memebers, when its none of her business. The office staff takes FOREVER to answer calls when even trying to make appointments & they take forever to return general calls or complaint they are to busy for you. We tried to call for an appointment & they didnt call back until 3 days later.
After a long search for a great dental office I came across Dr.Zak Long Beach Dental. Ferdi and Leya at the front have great customer service. They are always pleasant, helpful, and reassuring. After having to wait a while to get my night guard they helped me schedule my appointment and made me feel at ease. Also, the doctors here are also approachable and honest. Mitchie also has great service and consulted with me about making practical decisions about my dental health. I would highly recommend them to friends and family!

I have toothache, Dr Zak dental is very helpful and very accommidating. It hard for me to visit the dentist because of work schedule and good thing they open until late hours. I was happy and being help by Dr Sanjari and Jerilee the most helpful person in the office. Surely this office is always number one for me.
I have been waiting over a month to be referred to an endodontist and have been calling for over a week for an update with no response from the office, the receptionist just takes my message but I get no call back and no information. I am in pain and my dentist is not even returning my call. Wish I had a more professional experience with them.

I was almost an hr late for my appt and when I arrived they were still able to squeeze me into their crazy schedule. We got in and out of there in an hr and a half. I had a great experience today at my virtual appointment. I could see all of my x-rays and the explanations from the dentist were thorough and clear.
Came in for my dental exam and hopefully a cleaning, I got my xrays done by tony who was amazing and so fast ! I had my exam done with dr Williamss and she was amazing as well ! While I waited Samatha kept me company and was so sweet ! Got my coffee ferdi was the BEST check out !

My insurance submitted a referal for oral surgery. When it got approved I called to make the appointment. The guy over the phone said no I would have to pay all cash because their oral surgeons are self contracted. Called my insurance back they said thats incorrect. They 3 way called them bk and the guy was gone for the day I reached back out to them and again they said someone will call you back. Its been 2 1/2 business days and nobody seems to know anything and still no call back or email. Unprofessional and sketchy since I was being charged cash and now nobody knows anything.
A visit to the dentist is not everyones favorite thing to do. What makes the experience tolerable are the people that service you when you walk through the door. Dr. Zaks Dental Care has a very professional and warm front office staff. They have the unique ability to make you relax and feel right at home. Berna, Freddie and Mitchie are the staff that I encounter the most. They are nice and have great senses of humor but at the same time they answer all of your concerns , get your appointments made and get you out of the door in a timely manner. This office really serves the community. I have gone to this location since the 1980s when it was owned by Dr. Grant. So glad the new owners provide top quality care as well. My dentist at Dr. Zaks office is Dr. Gellar. He is definitely a keeper! Most professional and provides superb denistry! He is very conscientious about the care he provides and making your smile be the best it can be. I am soooooooo satisfied. I am very disappointed with this offices customer service. My credit card was charged the next day after my first visit, and although I requested a refund for $1,702 on May 4, 2016, my refund has not posted on my card! Two months after, I am still waiting on a refund. This office will not even have the courtesy to call me back, send me an email, or fix the problem. I will never recommend this office to anyone.
I been to many dental office, most of them is old, dirty and im not satisfied with customer service, here in Dr. Zak dental, the moment you open the door, they will give you warm greeting, the office is clean, cozy and very organize. Had a root canal and in the process of getting a crown. Process has been great so far. They have great service and the staff are all very friendly! They take the time to explain everything and are very knowledgeable and patient about everything. Would def recommend.

Parking. there was a parking lot, so parking was easy.wait. my appointment was at 3pm and got seen right away.service. the dental assistant was very helpful and made me feel comfortable before the hygenist came in. i needed a peridontal maintenance to follow up on my deep cleaning. peter, the dental hygenist, was very professional. he explained what was going to happen during this appointment and did an excellent job.office. the office is clean and not overcrowded like other places i have been in the past.
Ive tried another dentist in this area and had a very poor experience. This clinic has been the exact opposite. Im comfortable with my care and I feel like Im apart of the process. Ive found my permanent dental clinic.
I have to give only 1 star here.My wife visited here and was told will be helped to find a doctor for her periodontal disease.We have been patiently waiting for the help until her teeth got worse and worse and it’s been like half a year.And we have been trying to contact this office multiple times during this time and they never call back.Yep my suggestion is not too trust here.

I explained to them what the issue was with my son and they said to make an appointment that it’s fine. Once I get there they told me they can’t help me due to them not having a dentist. Really unprofessional.
I have been coming to this dentist for about 2 years when it was alan grant but since it changed over to dr. zak i noticed a huge improvement. the wait time have gone significantly down and the time between appointments is no longer a huge gap as it once was. plus the staff is super friendly and remember my name. i would recommend this dentist in a heartbeat.

When I first came to Dr. Zak, I had just removed my braces. My gums was in terrible shape, and I had to have laser treatment, for my swollen gums. Im happy to say, my teeth and gums have improved dramatically. Im sad, I have to move to Big Island, Hawaii. But I miss them, and hope my next dentist alright.

Horrible to get a hold of these people. They have a call center (that is not in the office) that cannot actually schedule appointments. They dont call back either. It took me 2 phone calls and an email just to get an appointment. I like the dentist once Im there but I dont have time to make repeated phone calls for an appt. Get it together!

Don’t recommend I have tried for a whole week to make a first time appointment here and all get is a “I’ll send the request for your appointment to the office and they’ll call you back to schedule an appointment” the only 2 times they called back the first time they couldn’t give me an appointment because they had already closed and just returning the call s.... then the second time the guy didn’t want to give me an appointment because “he was gonna have a team member call me back to schedule my appointment” like biih really you called me back to schedule an appointment and now you’re gonna have somebody else call me back to schedule????
Less waiting and very organize when they call each person going inside the Dental facility. I like this way because safety is everyones top priority.

I went to Dr Zak with an emergency. They were able to see me by the next day. The receptionist Mitchey is extremely helpful and friendly. There was a cancelation and she called me to get me in. Dr gave me a prompt diagnosis and was able to fit me in for procedure by next day.

I went here today for a first visit--and had an appointment. After waiting 1.5 hours without having seen a dentist, I finally left. The waiting room was full of people just... sitting there, waiting. Something is very wrong with their scheduling.
This place is the worst! I have called for MONTHS trying to speak with the office manager (about a billing issue) I’ve been put on holds given call back times to no avail. Each time they say they will get back to me in 24hrs-they don’t . I have waited to post a negative review because I know how much that can hurt a business, but I don’t know what else to do to get them to call me back.

2022-04-23I first met Doctor Zak 2017, he is amazing doctor. He is knowledgeable and kindhearted person. I keep all my appointment to keep track my good hygiene. Surprisingly the technology made me happy specially now they have no drill and no injection option, this option really works and I’m feel anxiety’s free. It’s such a cool and pleasant office. Dr Toosie and his assistant work together and make everything perfect.

2022-06-15After taking my X-rays they proceeded to schedule an appointment with one the dentist, which I had. After the appointment I wasnt able to ask the dentist questions, the nurse wanted to me to signs forms that I understood what treatments the dentist wanted to preform on me and what he recommenced, but this treatment list was over 11,000 and stated that if my insurance did not cover some of the procedures I was responsible and had to pay out of pocket. I did not even want or need some of the procedures listed and they still wanted me to sign this form before getting my teeth cleaned. On top of the fact that they required a Co-pay which if you have Dentical you are NOT required to give a co-pay nor are they suppose to ask for one.

2022-07-06My daughter-in-law was trying to get an appointment because one of her teeth was bothering her. She called a couple of times over a 3 week period and was told twice that they would call her back. They never did. Her tooth got infected and I had to take her to Kaiser urgent care. Afterwards, I called Zak Dental and was told that they would escalate her case and call her back the next day. They never did. At this point I am going to have them contact their insurance company about this negligent service so that they can find a dentist that can care for their needs. I may do the same since I have Zak Dental in Long Beach.

2022-07-08I only wanted a cleaning! I was told that I needed to have a complete set of x-rays along with a panoramic view and photos. Still, before I could obtain a cleaning appointment, I had to have a virtual appointment so they could try to “sell me” their treatment plan and get this, after talking to the virtual dentist another “used car type sale person” says your visit was 10k but your portion is $5800.00. How would you like to settle this? I said all I wanted was a cleaning! So, a gingival cleaning is $120.00, which I had to pay upfront for a next month appointment.Wait, it gets better…. Yet another “used car type sale person” comes on the virtual to try to schedule an appointment for 2023. Of course, I said no, she said, I could cancel it. So today, they texted and scheduled an appointment for me anyway.In my complete 40 years of healthcare experience, I have never felt so disregarded as at this dental group. The client shall always be at the center of any health plan if it is to be successful! Proceed at your own risk.

According to my doctor, SMART treatment is suitable for my case, which is another breakthrough In dental technology. The SDF was applied topically to my molar and just like magic!” Thanks to the entire team of Dr. Zak. They made me comfortable the whole time. Tabitha, Merlyn and Dr Zama are all awesome!

2022-07-14I called on the 13th of june to request a refund for services i paid that i never got i didnt get a call back till June 17th from Lyn which said she would make sure they send me my refund and that it would take 7-10 business days well its been 26 days since i spoke to them and neither have received my refund, nor do they ever answer the phone i have called more than 17 times but my call never goes through.

2022-01-31POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Ill start off by saying my initial x-ray and consult went well. My treatment went fine as scheduled but then I ran into major problems with getting an occlusal guard made and thats when things went horribly wrong. I had to repeatedly go in person to the office - three times to get the impressions done and they still could not get it right. First, I had Tabitha who did not take the time to review my needs and then denied not helping me when I confronted her about the issue. Then Dr. Toosi who could not make the dental guard work for me but still sent me home with a poorly fitted night guard because I just had to try it out. Then my treatment specialist Gina who assured me that all my concerns would be handled when in fact they werent and thats when my phone calls and email messages went ignored by both Gina and Zak Dentals online system. So I had to make three more trips back to the office in person to return my dental guard and get a refund. Sandra the office manager was not very helpful once I refused to schedule another appointment and requested a refund. Im very disappointed with how the staff at Zak Dental handled this issue and the poor customer service I received. I do not recommend this office and will not return again.

2021-01-03I came to the office with acute pain on Thursday morning, there was a whole day ahead to help. Before I made emergency requests, they called back only after 3 hours. They refused to help during the day, gave a prescription for antibiotics. The pain intensified, the cheek was very swollen. No emergency help! Did not provide medical assistance - no one knows or decides anything! You can not call them... Always have a problems with call back, and make appointment, and get information. Often made mistakes with treatment plan. Long line for appointment and then long waiting time inside, before and during pandemic. Bad service!!!

2021-11-12I so want to love this place, but I just don’t. It’s such a challenge to make appointments, and for the past two years they have made it so you need three separate appointments (one for X-rays, a separate one to talk to the dentist, and a third for the actual cleaning.) I’ve also had issues with them overcharging for a cleaning, and it’s impossible to get the money back. They’ve also made errors on their end regarding my appointment, and it’s impossible to schedule another one within a timely manner. I will be changing dentists ASAP.

2021-12-27My first time and everything is good. Tabitha, Sandra, Roy and Dr Tossie make me feel good and comfortable, I am happy. They deserve 10 stars
