Fabulous! First time use was for a one month rental and we couldnt be happier. We saved hundreds of dollars compared to every quote we received. Every detail of the rental went exactly as stated. We never had to contact customer service because we never had a problem but I am sure they would have been delightful. I admit waiting until a day or two before your trip for your exact rental information can be stressful for some people but it worked perfectly! If you read all the details and can live with the system, you will be very happy. We found most the bad reviews were from people who didnt understand how this discount process works. We will use Wisecars again.
Rented car from Wisecars; great price! When I recieved my voucher before trip I needed to contact customer service to correct one detail. Service I received from Piotr was excellent - just the way customer service should delivered. I will certainly rent again from Wisecars.
Booking was easy through kayak and price was much cheaper than directly through the car rental company. Paying ahead of time and not getting your confirmation until 48 hours before your pick up are the only downsides so far. I will update my review after my car is picked up to reflect the rest of the process…Picked up the car at thrifty and was given a class above what was reserved at no extra charge because that’s what was left! Waited about 40 minutes but process was easy and car was clean and worked out well for the trip. Return was easy and remaining charges were unchanged! Overall great experience with wisecars.
We rent a car for 3 weeks with wise cars.2 days before arrival they sent you an email saying that if the hours you have is not the exact time you must contact agency to inform them.We tried more than 20 times by phone WhatsApp and email to get agency each time waiting more than 20 minutes and nobody was answering.We finally s spoke with customer service of wise cars which confirmed they was also not managing to get contact with agency.When we arrived to the agency they explained that our cars was already rent to other people.When we spoke to you wiseacre customers service they promised to refund but they only was able to give us a new location at double price.We accept refund but then many days after we received an email saying that we will be charged of the full amount because they considered as a no show.After arguing they only accept to give us a refund of 50 % of the amount.We finally lost more than 1000 € with wise cars this adding to the global cost of spending hours phoning on foreign numbers which was never answering.This level of customer service is a shame and I advice anyone to find other solution.
I found a great deal through a comparison website, which led me straight to the Wisecars offer & I booked it. Only after booking they made it clear that Wisecars strictly offers more expensive rates to people not from the USA (which I’m not). I had to cancel the booking & the money was deposited back into my account within hours 👌🏼 I found a different deal through their app, which is cheaper than booking the same deal through their website! Looking forward to my trip.
I will never do business with this company again. I had written a good review a month ago - and up to that time my experience with Wisecars was nothing but positive. However, as much as I dislike writing a negative review, their recent actions have forced me to do this. All of my original comments were factual however a week ago I received an email from them telling me that my reservation had been cancelled. Why? Because I had requested it, they said. No, that was the original reservation that was cancelled - not the more recent one. So, I asked that the order be reinstated. No, they replied, they cant do that. They admitted there appeared to be some confusion at their end and advised I just re-book. OK - I could do that but the same rate wasnt applied. It was $200 higher. Well, can you issue a credit for that difference? No, sorry, we cant do that. After much back and forth discussion, I finally went to another company and booked my rental. And the icing on the cake is I am still awaiting my credit on that cancellation - which amounts to almost $500.The original review is below...Im reviewing the experience I have had so far in booking a car online for a trip well be taking in late September. I had booked one car and paid the deposit - only to have to cancel two days later. I received my refund within 48 hours, which is pretty amazing. Then a few days later, I booked a larger car and everything seems to have gone through quickly and easily. And the best part is their pricing offered a significant savings from every other provider - which, again, is amazing!! Im hoping the actual rental experience at the airport goes as well because I will be absolutely delighted to sing their praises!!
I paid for my rental car with WiseCars at the end of March. My flight was cancelled last night for Miami ( my flight was for May 28) so it was last minute. I called Wise Cars to inform them of what happened and of course they were closed so I emailed them to request a refund and provided proof of flight cancellation (NOT MY FAULT). They sent an email back saying that my time expired and that the cancellation fees equal up to what I paid. I paid a little over $365 but the terms and conditions said $310 for cancellations. However, the cancellation wasnt my fault!! Theyre not responding nor trying to help resolve this issue!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!Reply to Response :I like how you have time to respond to this review Rachel but cant email or call me back as I requested. And you wont find anything under this name because this isnt my real name but you can kindly go read the 3 emails I sent this morning Rachel.
I couldnt pick up the car because they didnt take an American express and the broker did not make this requirement clear. I had to find an alternative, meaning I was delayed at the airport for 2 hours and best of all they refuse to refund me for this! If you look at the response I am on their system and this review got another email after the first were ignored. They have refused to refund even though the rental agency agreed I should be but as the broker they are responsible and they should also be responsible for communicating the requirements. Not a way to treat customers.
While I wasnt able to use them, I had originally booked a rental for a vacation. Unfortunately, due to medical circumstances, I had to cancel but they were understanding and efficient. They responded back in less than an hour and refunded everything. Hopefully I can use them in the future. Customer service was great!
Unfortunately this did not go well. We paid up front with a specified amount due at the time of pickup directly to the service provider (not disclosed until you book). We were setup with Avis before our trip and sent a voucher. Used the voucher at pickup but was charged nearly $500 more than what was agreed to. Wisecars has been no help, saying we have to discuss with Avis. Avis said you booked through Wisecars and youll have to handle with them. No accountability and no help from Wisecars in dealing with the service provider they gave the business to. I will not be using Wisecars or Avis again. Just a terrible experience that cost my family nearly $500 more than what was agreed to.
Wisecars is the most amazing company I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. I made a mistake in my booking and they addressed the issue in the most pleasant and professional manner I’ve ever experienced. I highly recommend this company. Truly wonderful! Thank you, Wisecars!
Take my advice use another hire company!!!Absolutely shocked and appalled by their service!My flight was delayed a few hours and when I arrived they had cancelled my car hire. This is car hire I paid for prior to my flight!Then I re-ordered another car with them yet again paying full price again! (This is the second time I paid for one car even though they cancelled my first one) then the car agency at the time said I should get a full refund as it wasn’t my fault and I didn’t cancel this order!!!But then after 3 weeks after this poor excuse of a company then said to me they wouldn’t give me a full refund they deducted $200 from my original car hire!!! Saying this is in there terms there is nothing they could do about it, even though I re ordered my second car with them!!Stay well away from this company they are poor excuse from a hire company!!!!!!!!My Response to Wisecar!In response to your email Rachel, our flight was changed 3 times in the last week due to air line cancellations! So giving the correct flight details was nearly impossible!!It was even cancelled while we were at the airport! Due to staff shortage and airline errors!You must realise most problems are not the fault of the customer but of the large companies like yourselves who cause the so called problems and then profit from it!!!!Your policies cost me in $250 in taxi fares not to mention your $200 charge for your cancellation not to mention all the disruption caused in light of this!And don’t forget all these problems me and my family were faced with, we’re after a 24 hours of waiting in airports as well as a 9 hour flight!!This ruined our family vacation not to mention when we got to our collection point the place was closed something we should have been made aware of and the fact they close at 9-00pm! Even though on their website they say they close at 12-00 midnight!!!I just hope people read this and are persuaded to use other car services such as hertz or the enterprise or other larger companies!Since this happen, I have spoken to other car hire companies and that have said, if I had booked through them these problems you have stated and charged me for, would not have been an issue! Next time I will go direct with them! Super fast booking. ***Buyer Beware*** The customer support IS located in the UK, so youll have to call there to cancel the reservation. Also, the cost for booking is not upfront. Gives you one price, but doesnt inform you of the taxes and other fees associated with the booking. Cancelation is easy though. 😉😊Hopefully!....still waiting to find out for sure on that, as of 2-15-22As of 4-25-22, the company quickly refunded the charges no problem. I immediately realized I wasnt comfortable with the additional fees and canceled the reservation. I didnt have to give a reason and the customer service rep was kind and did not push me for any further explanations. He was thorough and very helpful. I would consider making a reservation through them again, knowing now there may be additional fees, and that they are not necessarily the cheapest. Thanks again!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are fly by night, sketchy, and rude. I booked a car through them and received my voucher. When getting to the airport no one there could direct me to the company on the voucher, I could not find any signs, I read through their directions and they were not clear and seemed like they were written for a different airport. Wisecars would not answer the phone this entire time, and would not respond to emails (I did get a response, 3 days later). I went to the rental car center, no sign of the company I was supposed to rent from, no one there knew anything either. When I googled the company I was supposed to rent from nothing came up in the area I was in. I did have an address on the voucher, but when I pulled it up it was way outside of the airport, with no convenient way of getting there, and looking at google maps there was a different company name on there. After all of that youd think Wisecars would just refund me, but no, because I was a no show they kept my money. Its my fault somehow they dont answer phone or emails, and provide terrible directions with mismatching vouchers. I cant stress this enough, DO NO USE THIS SERVICE!
Won’t ever use this company again.Booking of 8 people hiring a minibus. We were held up in the airport in Malaga at passport control then had to wait for the luggage.When I turned up at the car hire company, we were waiting for about an hour - and was then told our booking had been cancelled. Called Wisecars, spoke to a guy who was very rude - and said he sorted it with the member of staff he spoke to at the care hire company.Got off the phone, waited another half an hour - then was told again that it’s still cancelled and nothing they can do. Wisecar rep was again rude and said it was my fault. I lost the full price of the hire purchase and was spoken to so condescendingly. We were 1.5-2 hours late…. The whole experience was unbelievably awful and I would not recommend anyone using this company.
Wisecracking was so easy to use! I have not yet picked up my car so Ill change the rating if I need to but I needed to make a change to my pickup time and received a response super fast and it was changed with no problem. Crossing my fingers that the rest of my experience is just as awesome!
I had my flight postponed by about 3-hours on our way to London. With the time change I was unable to speak with the rental agency directly. Great thing was that Dominik at Wisecars was able to speak with them directly and secure that the vehicle was being held for us without any problems when we arrived.
Absolutely the worst customer service. Company allowed for cars to be picked up from a rental company after they closed. Our flight was delayed, upon arrival we attempted to contact their 24 hour customer service number only to find out it was a voice mail.I emailed and called serval times. In addition. To taking all of our payment they never even offered a car for the other days that we had paid for. As a consumer it is completely theft. To pay for a car then have them deny service for any of the days that were paid for is unreasonable. I even sent screen shots of them allowing to book cars after the rental company was closed and no one cared.Do yourself a favour and do not book from this company, they left my family and myself stranded and did not return our money.
Absolutely awful and unhelpful. Lost wallet on holiday, so according to Wisecars I couldn’t get the rental out in my name although, the additional driver was present with their necessary ID. Provided no options or help. However, when we went to the rental company, they changed the drivers free of charge, whereas Wisecars wanted to charge us £1500 for this. Embarrassing, I would t recommend.
Pickup desk told me they would charge an extra $2,000I made a reservation to for a rental car in Chicago, OHare airport. When we arrived to pick up the car, the local rental car desk (Fox) told us we would be charged an extra $2,000 if we drove the car into Michigan (the Michigan border is less than 2 hours drive from OHare airport). A big part of our trip was to visit family in southwest Michigan, so we were not able to use the rental car. We therefore had to rent a second car from a different company last-minute.While we were booking the reservation, there were no warnings/messages about only being able to use the rental in certain states. I didnt read the rental agreement ahead of time. However, when I looked it up (it was emailed to me 2 days before the reservation start date), it does not not clearly state that the car could only be used in certain states. The closest language I found was Cross-bordering into the following states is allowed: Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Missouri, Wisconsin. You must notify the Supplier that youre planning to drive the rental vehicle across the border when you pick up the vehicle. Other cross-bordering restrictions and allowances may apply. Please inquire with the Supplier when picking up the vehicle.I have called Wisecars customer service 3 times about this incident and was told I would receive a partial refund after the rental car company responds to their inquiry to confirm I didnt pick up the car. However, it has been two weeks and I am still waiting for the refund.The experience was EXTREMELY inconvenient. Wisecars/Fox (the local company) should make any state restrictions clear at the time of booking. This added extra expense and stress to our trip. I feel I am entitled to a full refund, not a partial refund.
Wisecars knowingly allowed me to book a rental car in the USA and even sold me additional insurance knowing full well it didnt include basic insurance at an additional charge of £548 on collection. Then the rental provider (Fox) said my credit card was declined, I dont believe they ever tried using it as there was no reason for it to be declined and my rental was cancelled and Id have to hire another car from their friends for £1500 plus tax, I walked away leaving myself and family stranded on the side of the road in the middle of the night. Wisecars have now had over a month to investigate and still have not returned a single phone call nor refunded me a penny. Just not good enough!
Absolutely terrible experience.Booked a car to collect at Orlando Airport. When I booked the car on their website it said my booking included the Collision Damage Waiver. If it had not, I would not have booked it as I know that Rental Car companies will always try and sell their ‘extras’.Get to the desk which was miles away and a shuttle drive from the airport to be told that I don’t have the necessary cover which I thought I had and was charged a ridiculous extra amount at the collection desk.It very clearly stated on the page when I booked this vehicle that collision damage waiver was included otherwise it is of no use to me without it.This is false advertising to have this on your website and then to tell me that I don’t have it (after I’ve paid for it with you).I travel regularly and use rentals all the time for business. I will never use this company again.
Dont know how the out of state rental for my wife will go, as today is the first day. However, her voucher containing the name of the car company was deleted from her phone, so we called Wisecars and Marco was extremely helpful in contacting her and forwarding the necessary information to allow her to find the correct company and get her car. Thanks.
Lying thieves. Dont do business here. You wont save any money. Its a nightmare. Just deal with the car rental company directly. I called to change my reservation pick up time. They said they would have to charge me $350 more. I contacted the actual rental company and there was only $100 change in the cost of the rental. These people scam you. And it was very difficult to get them on the phone.
It seemed like a good deal compared to other major car rentals however they charged me $801 for a two week rental that Fox rental listed on my agreement as $518.50 for two weeks. On top of that wisecars had a total charge (rental and processing) of $ 1,015.47. That seems like a rip-off. Do your own shopping.
DO NOT BOOK-won’t update booking for flight change/delayDO NOT BOOK! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Called 36 hrs in advance to advise that my late evening incoming flight schedule is delayed. The assigned car rental counter will not be open so I asked to switch to 24 hour agency and they said it would cost twice as much. I now have to book hotel to stay overnight negating any savings booking through this third party agency offered. They have offered no solution or let me cancel and rebook.
Scam, scam, scam..... Yes, they have an out with their vague fine print that says if you dont comply with whatever the local rental agency requires, you lose your deposit. Fine print - still vague - shows up 48 hours prior to travel. There is NO way to know what the local firm requires so they can require a card type you dont have or create new fees you never expected! Wisecars does not care - takes your $$$. Do NOT use this agency!!!
I booked my car a few months ago because Wisecars were very well priced. Website self explanatory. Deposit and booking balance confirmed immediately. I realised I booked the car for the exact time the flight arrives, so probably would be later picking up the car. Emailed customer support got an immediate reply, Pitor said the car would be held for me. Im due to pick up the car in 3 weeks, so will post review about the pick up experience then.
I do not recommend this company. In the summer of 2021, we were cheated out of nearly $600 simply because our plane did not arrive exactly when the car was made available—if there was a car at all: the lot was completely empty when we arrived. Whats more, the Alamo desk closed just a few minutes before we arrived and Wisecars was unresponsive to communications we sent in an effort to resolve the problem. For the rest of the summer and well into the fall of 2021, we communicated again and again with Wisecars, in an attempt to recuperate our loss, but to no avail. We have standing complaints with the CA Attorney Generals Office and the US Bureau of Consumer Protection. In sum, Wisecars acted in a manner that was greedy, often unresponsive, insensitive, and wholly unfriendly to the consumer. They also acted differently than all other car rental or car service businesses we have patronized. The others were understanding of the contingencies faced by travelers. Wisecars was not. Stay away.
I forgot my license and therefore was not able to rent the car. The rep at the location told me I could call and get my money back because I would not be able to rent a car without the license and told me to go to the website to put in for a refund. Went through the website, only for them to tell me that I was considered a “no-show”. See below for their response. So pretty much, don’t trust what comes out of any of their reps because apparently they aren’t trained enough to know the companies policy to give you accurate info. Imagine the concept of trusting what an employee says!!! I’m sure they still turned around and let someone else rent that car and I’m out of $850.Dear Ana,by making a booking through Wisecars you also agreed to our Terms and Conditions, which clearly specify that No Show cases will not be refunded. Moreover, the local representative at Ace might not even be aware of the contractual arrangements of this particular booking. Since Wisecars has already been charged by Ace from this booking, we cannot offer you a refund, that is the whole reason of stablishing our No Show policy.
I used Wisecars to reserve a car for the first time today. The process was easy and the price was 35% cheaper than other car rental services. I hope that the actual rental process is as easy and simple as the reservation was. If it is, I will be a return customer.*** UPDATE ***I went to get my car after arriving at New Orleans airport at 11pm. Wisecars sent us to Thrifty to get our car. Thrifty was already closed, an hour before their scheduled closing time. Hertz, to whom we were then directed as they were supposed to manage Thrifty’s after-hours business, said with a shrug, “We have no cars. Sorry.” Wisecars then wouldn’t answer their phone. Hertz was no help. I ended up renting a car from Enterprise for more than 3x the Wisecars’ rate. At least Wisecars refunded my deposit (after a week). Wisecars’ customer service was nice (so I gave them 2 stars and not 1), but they are just a middleman. It’s not worth the risk to be abandoned. Avoid them. Rent straight from a car rental agency. Hopefully they will be more responsive, then. I won’t be using Wisecars anymore.
Excellent - great car- no problems at allWhen I wanted more information regarding returning the car ( I had rented in Portugal and am returning to Spain ) I called and Eduardo did s great job of getting back to me with exactly the information I needed . Edited: I have provided the same feedback to your customer support. Your documentation does not clearly state that your products do not include insurance. Providing basic insurance is the default. Other providers make it clear when their offers exclude insurance. I paid for the Protection Plus product but on collection have to pay $$$ for insurance. Feel I have been purposely misled. Not sure why this is not an issue for others. Are they driving uninsured or they happy to pay whatever the rental company charges for insurance at the point of collection?
I made my reservations from June 1 to June 8 on-online. I realized I was in error and needed the reservation on June 2 to June 8. I contacted the company and spoke to Peter. He was helpful in seeing what he could do to change the dates. Not only did he change the dates but found a better deal. Thank you! Satisfaction guaranteed!
If I could give 0 stars I would! This company is a scam. They are money hungry and very unprofessional. I had a trip to go to Puerto Rico and never made it because JetBlue cancelled my flight while I was on the airline. I was returned back to the terminal and was told my flight was cancelled, after it was delayed over 5 hours prior. After being returned to the gate I attempted to call wise cars to cancel my reservation and to no avail I was unable to get in contact with them. At this point it was 3AM and the car rental space was not even open! So even if I got to San Juan I would not have been able to get the car!!!!I called to cancel and they told me that I was unable to get a refund for the car I never got to pick up because I was still in NY and my next flight wasnt until 2 days later. I told them all that happened and they still declined my request for any reimbursement. Why would I pay for a service I did not use?? Especially when it wasnt my fault that I did not arrive to PR.I just received an email today stating that they kindly decline my request for any reimbursement. How sad is this..Also in the event that you need to speak to a supervisor, IT IS AGAINST COMPANY POLICY TO SPEAK TO ONE and so youll be stuck speaking to regular reps. I am saddened by this company and will be sure to never use them again.WHEN YOU RENT THE CAR THEY WILL CHARGE YOUR CARD SO BE SURE TO SHOW UP AND IF THE AIRLINE CANCELS YOUR FLIGHT YOU WILL NOT GET A REFUND OR CREDIT.
We went to pick up our rental at the Denver airport that we arranged through WiseCars and were told there were no cars. So I called the help line and Nickolai was very helpful. He booked another car through another agency. I just hope i get my refund for the difference.
Terrible experience and customer service. No help received while dealing with an urgent situation of being unable to retrieve the car. In the end they canceled the reservation without any refund. I was stranded with my family and had to resort to booking a car with one of the more reputable agencies after lot of trouble. Customer rep was hard to get hold off, and was rude and not sensitive to our precarious situation. Definitely not worth the headache.
As others have said here, this company is made up of total scam artists. I had a mechanical issue with my car that required me to return it early and could not get a replacement. I was told I would be refunded for the remaining days of the reservation. When I reached back out to Wisecars they flatly told me No, even though I had a receipt stating what the final charges were and that I was told I would be refunded.There is NO support from this company. Stay far away.
WARNING: Do not use. Terrible customer service. We uploaded our DL and details 3 times. They never responded and we ended up stranded at our location without a car. We actually cancelled the reservation with the local car provider as they themselves could not get a response from Wisecars. Then Wisecars has charged us a cancellation fee. Unresponsive. Had to file a dispute the the credit card company.
My experience with Wisecars was really negative, I rented a car in Faro Portugal, they did not give me enough information about the local rental car agency which was not located at the airport, we had to take a shuttle, and the agency refused to let us give back the car at 4AM without charging us for extra 30€ for their agent to be present. Im a frequent traveler and I have never been charged extra for this.Wisecars just dont care if you have a negative experience. Choose another rental company.
After I signed up I began researching what to expect and I almost cancelled because of all the horror stories. Maybe I got lucky, because everything worked out exactly as I was told by Wisecars. One issue: I didnt realize that the expected pickup time was fairly specific, because it wasnt what I first chose, but it didnt matter, in the end I got the car I needed and I feel like I got a good deal. I think the whole Car Rental industry is inherently corrupted with fine print and incompetence so any middle man, like Wisecars, are negotiating with the devil and so there is risk. I may try them again, but Ill always read every detail and hope I dont get burned. Sad that this is what level of sevice gets a 5 star in my book. 😆
Do not use WISECARS for car rental!!! I was refused a car due to circumstances out of my control. Also, some of the required documents were not clearly stated at the time of rental and payment. I flew from Louisville Kentucky to San Diego California when I got to Fox rental/wise cars location at airport, I was refused a car and lost $314. Customer service was terrible, did not seem to care. Did not try to help us with the issues we were having after 2 very long flights. Customer service were very blunt and rude, you do not have a car. My daughter had to rent a van for all of us that cost $1000 when we were supposed to get two small SUVs $314 each. Wise cars and Fox are the worst!!! Do not rent a car from them.
Never use them as the deal with scammers. I use them for car rental in Antalya and they further use 3rd party called NoktAutos. After seeing their bad reviews and stories from local google reviews I contact wisecars and tell about them but they insist me to use them as they denied a refund. Google Review say they charged you very high advance and after rental no refund will be issued.On collection day at Antalya airport I try to locate NoktAutos and couldnt find them, I tried to contact by phone number given to me by Wisecars and some one picked up and start talking in Turkish, ask for English but no response and cut the line. I have waited 1 and half hours for them but they couldnt turn up and pay extra and hire from other reputed companies available at airport. NEVER USE WISECARS and their working partner else you will be ripped off...Even everything is recorded in their ticket system, they denied the refund.

Total scam!!! We arrived to Rome and their partner OK Mobility did not have the car or had a high demand and they did not honor the reservation, send us to SIXT rental and we ended paying for 8 days $ 1,700.00 more than what we had reserved with WISECARS. Also we lost half a day on the process, be careful of this company!!!
Do not book through this 3rd party car rental.There were hidden conditions on mileage and travel limitations that we only discovered when picking up the car. After not taking the car because of this, we were told that we would be refunded in full.Later when asking for a refund, we were denied on the basis of no-show.We did not receive any refund despite not using the service and not picking up a rental car because of conditions that were not clearly stated on the website at the time of reservation.Weve already contacted them as they suggest below and they refused to provide any compensation. The advertising on their website was misleading.
DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!I used Wise as a third party to rent a car from ACE in Los Angeles. Upon pick up Ace made the decision not to run my driving license through the scanner due to a nick in the card. All details were visible and its still deemed fit as a valid driving license as confirmed by an agent from Wise and two other car rental companies. Ace then tried to charge me double the original agreed rental price to rent a second car there and then which I refused. But then Ace refused to return my $700 of the prepay rental as they said Wise were in hold of it. I still needed a car so out of principle walked next door to SIXT and rented a car, using the same license with no issues. Since this incident Ive been trying to get my money back from Wise and have been met with long, strung out, none comital and vague emails with no end in sight. Please do not use this company!
AVOID. Poor service, poor communication, sneaky policies. Cancelled reservation due to lost credit card. Despite giving the required 48 hours notice I was still charged 15%, this despite the fact that the company I was renting from offer a FULL refund if cancelled beyond 48 hours. They’ve kept my money for nothing. I will never use this company again and continue to warn others against them.
Avoid this company! The voucher that was supposed to tell me which rental car company to pick up my car from never arrived…I didn’t realize Wisecars was a broker for other car rental companies and arrived in Hawaii expecting a car rental company called “wisecars” which didn’t exist. I called customer service and got a recording saying they were closed. Asked every driver for every rental car company until I finally found out it was handled through Thrifty. I then emailed the company and explained what happened and they offered a future discount—I will never rent through them again! The confusion and total lack of support wasn’t worth savings!
Be careful, WiseCar has no problem for ripping you off. We paid for our car in los angeles with my husband name and card. Arriving to the renting company they say they can’t accept the card since it was debit. We suggest mine which was credit but they say we have to start a new booking with it and ask wisecar for refund for the first one. Wisecar say no so here we are paying twice for the same thing. Still waiting for them to have a gesture.If you look well you will see other comments with the same issue. It’s a shame! Worst company ever. I do not recommend at all!!!!!
My first rental with them ... I had to cancel because my schedule changed. I was afraid that it would be difficult as it required me to call instead of doing it online. But it was very smooth: less than 1 minute wait time and immediate cancellation without any questions asked.
Service is not reliable at all. I reserved a car through Wisecars for a guaranteed price but when I went to pick it up the Ace Rental told me that I had to pay $120 extra because they don’t have any car in the class that I made reservation for. So I had to pay $120 extra to pick up a luxury car they had available. Btw, that luxury car was a Dodge Charger that wasn’t even luxury, it just had a ridiculous amount of horsepower which I didn’t need given I was traveling with my family and two babies!Here is my reservation number 16431195.And here is the ticket number I opened with customer support 113701.
Was told we had our reservation for $550 and that no other person would have to provide a credit card for the rental. However, upon getting the rental not only were we required to provide another credit card (that of the driver) but it was then charged over double what we had already paid for the rental. Customer service told us go check with the rental company and that there is nothing they can do but sometimes this does happen and they apologize. Will not be using them again and do not recommend anyone use them either.
Really had a bad experience booking though wisecars. I booked a from Virtuo using their website, paid in full and dowloaded the wisecars app as they recommended. Right before I took off I checked my wisecars app and the app said very clearly that the car is confirmedand that I was all set with the information to pick it up.While i was on my flight, with limited access to the internet, Virtuo sends me an email that my booking has been canceled and payment will be refunded. This is because apparently they wanted me to upload my driver license 4 hours before I pick up the car.Frankly that situation was ridiculous, nothing like arriving to a city just to find out that your car rental has been canceled. I ended up spending several hours in Rome trying to find availabilities and overspent on a last minute car.Really disappointed with both wisecars and vitruo.
I rented from Wisecars to pick up at Miami airport. I paid in advance. However, Wisecars subcontracted to Addcar, who subcontracted to Colusa - an off-off airport company that didnt even have a sign in front of their shop. Needless to say it was a nightmare finding them and I showed up 2 hours after the scheduled arrival time. But I had per-paid so I should have been alright, yes? NO! Colusa had given away the car and had no cars. Further they would not give me a refund, they said I had to get it from Wisecars. OK, so I called Wisecars who refused to give me a refund for the car they did not hold and deliver. My Visa card agreed with me and gave me a refund. I will NEVER use any of these three companies and advise others not to as well.
This is an unethical and terrible company. DO NOT USE WISECARS. I looked into them and Felicity and Frank Travaini run a huge scam that they profit greatly off of. There is no way they have this many positive reviews. They have to be written by their team members. This was by far the most awful rental car experience I have ever had. Do yourself a favor and just book from the big six. I dont know how anyone who works here can sleep at night. You all are terrible human beings. Shame on you.

I rented a car at munich airport (booking was made through wisecars), yet upon arrival I had to take a larger vehicle, a new reservation was made by avis from scratch and my previous booking through wisecars was not honored. for a month now I am trying to get my money for the original booking back. wisecars doesnt give an f. think 100 times before using them.
I book a car in spain with them. When i get to the clickrent store they tell me that they didnt receive my voucher from the broker (wisecars).After 30 minutes i got it then they make a new contrat instore and change the dropoff time.Big surprise when i got back they charge me an extra 150$.Now im in contact with wisecars (Natalia) for a refund and i have no return.
We reserved our car a couple months in advanced. The price had dropped at the same local car rental company by 1200$ cdn and wisecar did not price match or refund. Terrible service it took over an 1h to get a hold of someone. Line was cut on the first attempt after waiting 30mins.
This is the terrible service ever. I will never ever comback again. I booked their car on May 18th 2022, I paid everything in advance which include insurance. When I came to the supplier they asked me to buy another insurance which is called collision insurance. However, they said that that they do not sell it, I have to figure it out and go outside to buy it. If I do not have it they are not allow me to pick up a car. Then I called the customer service , she did not know what kind of this insurance neither and she also talked to the supplier to know the issue. Then I asked for refund so she said that she has to ask the management team for my case. The next they I called back to Wise car again and they told me they are still waiting then ask me call back tomorrow. Then the next second day they answer me as the same and tell me call back next 3 days.Now today is May 24th, the customer service told me that I have to wait for the result from the management for next 3 weeks.I told the customer service, If he said 3 weeks so I will contact them exactly on June 7th, 2022. Then he told me I had to call them to update every day. So what is the point????? Even your company did not send me an email to update my case so I have to call to begging to give back my money.This is so freaking ridiculous, your company are not provided the service to the customer and do not want give back the money then try to play around to the customer.Please never ever to use this service from this company.

My flight was canceled and I arrived 2 days later to pick up my car but the car company cancel the reservation and they told me that I will get full refund because I did new booking through the Car company and this horrible horrible company “wisecars” do not want to give me the refund although the rental car approved it!! I wish I could leave 0 star reviews Wisecars. We were 2 hours late for our rental in Catania, Sicily for which we paid 2000 euro+ for 11 days for a people carrier and the company (Noleggiare) who we booked through Wisecars gave the car away and took our money. Nobody (wisecars nor the rental company) ever called us to ask some common sense questions like hey dear customer, are you still on the way? Are you stuck on a plane, ferry, etc? We called Wisecars for some support to help us find a solution when we are clearly in distress with 0 car as a result plainly said she doesnt care, its not her problem AND that she doesnt have time to deal with it. Disgusting behaviour for a customer service agent and reflects very poorly on Wisecars. Last time we are ever using them. Everyone else reading this, do yourself a favour and AVOID them. It should be illegal to speak like this to a customer.
Beware their False Prices.I booked a car through wisecars, thought i had booked the best deal, but what i had actually booked was a bare bones car where i then HAD to purchase the insurance which took the actual price of the car way over what competitors charge.They dont care because they get their fee, they hide it in terms and how its now flagged as false advertising is beyond me.Be careful, youre safe using any other aggregator - these guys are scammers imo.
Wisecars company refused to refund my $280 deposit paid for renting a car at FOX rent a car, which, in turn, refused me because I am a holder Ukrainian passport and a UAE driving license. In three years of renting cars in the USA from different companies, I have never encountered such a problem. I used wise cars to rent a car in Spain for two weeks in August. The cheapest option was with one of the providers Goldcar. Boy was this a mistake. When I picked up the car I was asked to pay 200 euros for insurance or 1000 euros as deposit up front. This was despite paying £50 excess to Wise Cars. Goldcar said this excess made no difference to insurance. I tried to get this back from wisecars but they said it did cover accidents etc which is a load of nonsense as I was forced to pay 200 euros for insurance. This automatically increased the value of the hire. On top of this I asked for a specific vehicle that i drive in the UK and is automatic. I paid to hire a DS Citeron. When I got to Goldcar they said the only automatic they had was a mitshibush space star. It was a lot smaller and could only fit one suitcase in the back. I have sent the rental agreement and emailed wise cars customer service and they said they are waiting for gold car to get back to them and then have tried to close my ticket despite telling them that I wasnt closing it. Dont bother using go to one of the big more reliable car hires and dont be fooled by their cheaper prices as its all hidden costs and you dont get the right car for what you need. Awful.
This company has misleading terms and conditions. They state that you have free cancellation up to 48 hours before your rental. But when you actually cancel, they force you to purchase their cancellation protection and deduct that from your refund. Nowhere is that clearly stated in their terms and conditions. I would rather pay a little more and deal with a company that is upfront about their charges than deal with a company that plays games.
I booked and paid £535 before a long flight from the UK to Florida and transfer to their off airport branch. They refused to let us take the car because I had booked my husband as the driver and the credit card was in my name. They wouldnt accept his debit card either. We had to then pay for another car with a different company. Wise cars refused to issue any refund. Would definitely NOT recommend this company.
I booked a car this am at 8am for a same day rental, one way. Wisecars gave me a reservation number via email. When I arrived at hertz hours later they said that they did not have any car for me, had no reservation number in their system and that “wisecars Cannot see the car availability of satellite Hertz centers and therefore cannot verify the availability of cars…” hertz said that “wisecars should know that we do not do same day reservations in this car shortage time AND that one way rentals are not possible…” when I called wisecars customer service (in Poland), the wisecars rep asked to speak to the hertz desk representative directly using my cell phone. The hertz desk rep told him the same thing. The wisecars rep then said “well he’s wrong and hertz shouldn’t have accepted the reservation if they had an issue”. I am the customer now in the middle. I don’t work for either of them. I asked if he wisecars representative could escalate to a manager or supervisor; he said “that is not possible because managers and supervisors do not take calls”. I asked him if escalation was not warranted and he said “not in this case”. Im now sitting outside of Starbucks with all my luggage writing this review because I’m stranded. I called hertz Customer service and they said that wise cars must call them directly and they could not have the conversation in detail with me. I then called Wisecars customer service a second time. The rep said that he would call Herz directly and call me back. It has been approximately two hours and of course no call back. I just called wisecars a third time and the representative, of course different, said that she would connect me to the prior representative who promised to call me back. When she transferred me, it went to voicemail.I fell for the wisecars internet flashy trap. I have no one to blame but myself. You have been warned.
Had lower rates than other booking options, but paid up front with 48h cancellation terms. Otherwise, seems similar to other sites, but pretty easy to use. Im sure the rental company will be a pain to work with, but the booking experience was good. They promise Ill get the car class I booked, will be interesting to see what happens if the agency doesnt have any.Update: everything went as expected. The rental agency had the booking and car ready. The agencys definition of Compact SUV felt a bit stretched (Nissan Kicks), but thats not really on Wisecars and I didnt really care, it did the job.

They have then connected us with a local supplier called Noktautos. Upon arriving Antalya, we called their third party supplier to inform them about our early arrival. They said they will give us a call back in 10 mins. Several calls have been made and was given the same answer. To cut the long story short, we waited in the airport for an hour without any confirmation of when our car hire was coming. So we had to get another car from SIXT which was so easy and hassle free. We then emailed Wisecars about our experience and my condition (heavily pregnant), and disappointment once we reached our hotel. after several exchanges of emails, wisecars decided declared that our case was A NO SHOW!! how was that a NO SHOW when OUR CAR WAS NOWHERE TO BE SEEN OR HEARD AFTER WAITING AN HOUR LONG. RUBBISH COMPANY. RUBBISH CUSTOMER SERVICE.Dear Rachel,thank you for your response. we booked our car hire for 10AM and we were still at the airport by nearly 11AM. how long does wisecars expect us to wait for it to be considered a no show by us, the customer? we are more than happy to share with you the call logs to show that we were the ones reaching out to Noktautos and not the other way around. For us, it is not about the money but its the fact that the service we received was completely unacceptable which affected our holiday. And now, we are the ones who are being made out to be in the wrong.

Eduardo was very helpful in changing my reservation. He did a great job. I will use wisecars again, and if changes I will contact Eduardo.

On March 11, 22, I rent a car from WISECAR for $695. Somehow, they sent me to pick the car from Thrifty Car Rental (IAH). At the check-out counter, the representative told me that I have had to pay liability insurance for an extra $39.99/ day., but they end up charged me the amount of $520.82. Heres the itemize they charged: DAMAGE WAIVER (CDW/LDW): $239.94 CONCESSION FEE RECOVERY(???) $57.69 PREMIUM EMERGENCY ROADSIDE SERVICE(???): $53.94 VEHICLE LICENSE FEE (???)$11.64 CUSTOMER FACILITY CHARGE (???) $24 ACCESS PASS THRU FEES (???) $4.99 TAX (15%): $128.62 AMOUNT DUE: $520.82. I paid a total of 1215 bucks for 6 days, from 2 companies that I expected to pay 695 bucks !! I called Wisecar, but they refused to hep!!!
Worst service in Ft lauderdale airport, I rented in Advance ( almost 5 months ago ) an SUV or similar ( space for 5 luggage ) , when I checked the guy offered me for 59 dollars extras a minivan , because they don’t have my car available , and the worst I finished driving a subcompact Toyota CHR 2022 small ( space only for 1 luggage ) because was the only available ,Costumer service need to respect the previous reservations .Never again 👎
My voucher did not come on time, however I reached out on Messenger in Facebook and a Customer Service Agent sent me my voucher right away. I cant give a 5 Star because the system did not work as designed, but the expedient reply and sending of my voucher rather quickly was refreshing. I would use them next time based on this.
Horrendous !!!! If you’re from the U.K do not book with this company. I paid the tge renatka with the “no hidden fees” but advices tax may apply. On collection I was charged nearest $500 for insurance which didn’t states it wasn’t included . I made contact with wise cars who was to get back to me and of course never did, I emailed over again and cinoakeyejy ignored . Complete in importance !!!!
Wise Cars or Wise Guys? Im thinking the latter. I tried to change the driver name on my reservation- had to call of course, and speak to customer service. To change a name makes the reservation total change to the current rate. In this case $300 more, hmmm. The real kicker is this van rental was for a group of teens. Wise Guys wouldnt even negotiate. Keep your van. And Wise-Up your bad business practices.
Absolutely horrible experience: I was not able to rent a car with them because they only took credit not debit; and was promised 3 times I would be fully reimbursed for the down payment I had put on the car - I called 4 times and sent multiple emails, with people promising to reimburse me, only to finally get a hold of someone telling me its impossible.The people on the phone are condescending and could not car less about the customer. Being promised 3 times you will be reimbursed and then not following through is theft. DO NOT RENT WITH THEM
We’ve had a similar experience to what most people are describing. They’re a broker for vehicle hire. They come up cheap to get you through the door. Once you’re there, they triple their price with lots of misleading or hidden charges. You’re then essentially held hostage to pay the additional fees.
UPDATE: unfortunately this time our experience with renting from Zezgo through Wisecars was not a good experience at all.At pickup we were told by Zezgo that we cannot use our own tollpass reader. Instead we were forced to either pay an additional $15.92 per day or pay a fine each time we pass the tolls. While the terms and conditions specifically states the following 3 options:Toll DevicesYou have the following options to pay for toll fees:(A) Pay toll fees in advance at a rate of USD 15.92 per day(B) Pay an Administration Fee of USD 6.34 per day and for toll roads used during your rental(C) Decline the Suppliers toll service and pay a penalty fee of USD 26.63 for every toll used during your rentalIt doesnt mention anything about using or not using your own device for the toll road. So for example if you choose OPTION B, which was our plan, and pay the administrative fee of $6.34 each time we pass a toll, then you should be able to pay the actual toll with your own device. At the car rental place they tell you, that it doesnt work this way and you cannot pay the toll with your own device (which is option (B).I was forced to pay the daily Sunpass package fee instead, resulting in a much bigger and unnecessary cost.Zezgo claims that their updated and revised terms and conditions no longer includes option (B) and this revised version is what is written in the terms and conditions they provided to Wisecars, however we did not receive any updated version from Wisecars.With this additional cost, we certainly would not have rented through them, since it would have been a lot cheaper to rent from a company that allows us to use our own tollpass reader with no additional cost for us.In addition, the car was an incredibly old model (at leat 20 years old), with no rearview cameras or any updated features.In addition to that, the car kept showing a tire pressure issue, which Zezgo brushed off as oh no worries sometimes cars do that.This is not a company I would rent from again.I am very disappointed with Wisecars for misleading me about the additional charges.We rented our car through Wisecars in the past and had a great experience, which is what led us to come back and rent a car through Wisecars again. After booking our last rental, we realized we needed to make some changes and Wisecars was very helpful. We look forward do yet another great experience.
I like all the details about the car and the site was easy to use. The site could use more features like the ability to change or cancel without having to file a ticket.UPDATE: I didnt realize that this was simply a 3rd party routing service. We were already traveling, so I missed the fine print on when the local company was assigned a week or so before the rental. I wasted some time trying to find Wisecars in Madrid. Also, Wisecars had said I would be able to trade-in in my rental half-way through (I wanted a smaller car when my friends left) but of course the local car company didnt know about that. The local rental company was a mixed bag. They were nice but the return of the rental van was incredibly stressful. They required you to return to separate garage which was a one lane or less (cars parked in other lane) spiral down to the basement in a huge van.
Easy & straightforward booking process - HOWEVER pick-up at local car rental was a disaster! we were charged loads of extra (unnecessary) insurance fees. The car was miserable, no GPS (even though we booked this in advance), ended with flat tire - Wisecars was unavailable for help! Would NOT recommend!

Dont expect them to fix any problem you have. They will not.They will also try to charge you, everything they can, and still you will not be fully covered. If on top of that you hire someone else, you can already consider yourself cheated, because they clean their hands, they simply charge and thats it. Waiting for them for more than 1.30 hours and when you finally get there there is a problem, you have to change the driver and surprise, the pick-up time has already passed (for their cause of course). But they dont fix it. I HAD TO GO NEXT DOOR AND RENT AGAIN. THEY DID NOT REFUND MY MONEY. HAD PAID. They do not seem to have any responsibility, n. They only have rights. While I was there 90% had a problem.
UPDATE, it is a scam! neither the company nor wisecars have refunded the amount I paid. Do not contract services with them!DANGER OF SCAM!I booked my car with this company, I went to the place they told me they would pick me up and in 3 hours of waiting the bus that would take me to the rental office did not show up. When I got there, they made me pay 260 dollars extra or they did not give me the car, when I had already paid the full amount of the reservation for 178 dollars. I lost a precious vacation day, I rented a much more expensive car. I spent 60 dollars on cabs and almost a month later I am still waiting for my reservation money back.BE CAREFULL!!!!!!
Pick up instructions were incorrect, so I’m glad I am used to traveling and followed the signs at airport instead of what was sent to me. I also was refused a car when I landed at my destination at 12am due to “crossing borders” rules hidden in the terms and conditions. This is not something I’ve ever heard of and left me without a car and panicked at an airport in the middle of the night alone. Now I’m going back and forth with customer service to get a refund for a car I was not allowed to take. I’m never using this service again.
My boyfriend waited 2 hours in line and they wouldn’t let him rent the car because he didn’t have a credit card to put a deposit on and wouldn’t let me use my credit card over the phone. So I contacted customer service and I was declined a re fund for ALL of the days that I paid for this Vehicle so I asked to speak to his supervisor and he HUNG UP THE PHONE ON ME.
The Wisecars APP was fast and easy. A big plus is that they have call support that can answer any questions about rentals. They were very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, you do not know which car rental company you will be assigned to & this is an issue because extra charges/fees are specific to a given company. Otherwise, I would have given them 5 stars.
Intermediary company for which small local companies work. in this case in Sofia: a company called Addcar.Addcar bulgaria tried all sorts of aggressive tricks to make me pay more money - pushing aggressively their own insurance making false claims, trying to charge more money for the security deposit, using a ridiculously high exchange rate when converting from euro to local currency and bluntly stating that they can use any exchange rate they want (there is a fixed official exchange rate), trying to rush through the examination process when giving me the car, charging me 960 euros for 1 tiny scratch ...Avoid them in all cost.
THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM... I attempted to rent a car from them for a few days for $535. After paying and going to pick up the rental I was told that I had to pay an additional $600, which was never mentioned. I refused to pay and they refused to refund me my $535 back. I read other reviews from this company after this had happened and that is a common scam they run on people.
Booked a car through wisecar over 1 month ago and followed the steps prior to pick up. 8 hours later I have not accessed my car and have been told I am a no show despite arriving at the site and the voucher and their systems failing to allow me access the vendor. Their answer is that they will get back to me. Stranded in the city with bags and have incurred more costs trying to resolve and still now answer
The booking process went flawless so far. One of the lowest prices I found for my dates, especially considering that it will be one out of four reputable rental car companies. Possibility to add additional coverage at a fair price and a very good cancellation policy as well. I hope that the further process will be just as good.
Renting was painless. Well not quite, but these guys made it as pain-free as possible. The website is easy to navigate, and their prices are the best. We were looking for a car that could carry 5 passengers AND 4 large bags. Wiseguys found us a perfect rental for less than some of the other sites offered for a compact. Would use again, for sure.
The website works well and is easy to navigate even on my phone. They did a great job outlining how much I was supposed to pay now and how much I will be paying on-site. I appreciated the straightforward instructions for vehicle pick up and that they were not pushy with any potential extras, but instead outlined my options and didn’t try to manipulate me into choosing anything. All in all a quick, simple and enjoyable experience.
Rented a car through Wisecars and was given a cut rate rental car company, Easirent, in Florida. I emailed Wisecars the day arrived, 9/25/19, 12:00 pm, and picked up my vehicle to complain about the service and the vehicle I received. To date, I have not gotten any satisfaction. I emailed Wisecars again today with the service I received when returning the call, equally as bad as when I picked up the vehicle. So, they have both emails from me regarding pick up and drop off service, along with pictures of the vehicle I was given. Depending on how they resolve the for me, I may change my review. Below is the review on Easirent along with photos.We waited over an hour at the airport for their shuttle. They then tried to use scare tactics to get us to take their insurance and sun pass. Then requested my insurance policy when I refused theirs. Vehicle we got had a lot of damage on outside.Returning was no better. We arrived earlier than needed and still waited over an hour for shuttle to airport. They actually had the shuttle driver checking in all of the returned vehicles. Then we were dropped off at the other end of the airport due to all of the angry people waiting to get the shuttle. Horrible service!!! Do not recommend using this company EVER!!!
Excellent and intuitive booking process. Great price and if all goes to plan when we travel in a few months, we will have had an excellent value hire car (much cheaper than other options).Only one slight niggle: when booking online, the confirmation screen said that we would receive the voucher within 72 hours. But the confirmation email states that we will only get the voucher 48 hours before pickup. Hopefully no problem, but consistency would have been better.
EDIT: They even replied here and said they couldnt find us. I have a receipt that says otherwise Im happy to show to anyone with questions.The worst rental car experience I have ever had. Wisecars does not provide the rentals, but is just a broker. We booked a car for 2 weeks in Iceland in March. The rental client they set us up with was AWFUL. They didnt provide airport pickup, which they said they did. We waited at the airport until midnight trying to get our car and were still charged for that day, even though we had no car! The car itself was filthy, the seats were stained, and very high mileage. The counter staff was the rudest I have ever encountered. I was not provided a refund for the services not rendered and would never recommend this company to anyone.Wisecars needs to work with better vendors and stand by their service.
Never again. Warning- don’t book through 3rd parties. You cannot resolve issues if you don’t deal directly with the car rental company. The price is appealing but be wary.I was unable to complete my rental at arrival, I didn’t have the correct credit card with me to complete the rental deposit (had already paid the rental fee). We switched renters. So even though it was booked as refundable, I was within 2 hours so they would not refund the payment. So I paid, and my boyfriend paid, for one car rental. Nu Car Rental assured me, although they were unable to process the refund as I had gone through a third party, that Wisecars should provide a refund. That did not happen.
I used Wisecars in July 2021 and it was a pretty good experience. I found a minivan for a very reasonable rate. I used them again in December 2021, and I would recommend the following changes: faster response time via online avenues. Often the messenger experience takes a while. Also, I had a credit to use towards a booking but I was unable to use it myself and had to call their service center to book and use my credit. Their customer service is good - friendly and efficient, but a better online platform would help - for me at least!
We used Wisecars for the first time to reserve a vehicle for an upcoming trip to Kauai. Prices were more than just competitive and beat even Costco by a wide margin. Their deals were easy to understand online and easy navigation made the reservation process smooth. We will likely not reserve anywhere else without at least checking Wisecars in our search for the best price.
Edit: upon arriving to our destination, we had never received a voucher or instructions on how to pick up our rental car. Our rental car was through a totally different agency, NOT wisecars, and once again, no information was given on how to access or pick up the car. Terrible. 0/10, would not recommend.Wisecars Car Rental made booking a car for my Whistler ski trip super easy, fast, and provided me with a very reasonable price. I’m looking forward to my trip even more now and utilizing their services in the future.
I just booked a car through Wisecars for the first time. I liked that the total costs are relatively upfront versus other companies and that the filters pull out the needs easily. The website did not halt or break and my options were preserved going back and forth through options which is great.
My phone call was immediately answered.I didn’t have to wait on hold.The sales rep was able to answer all my questions.Most important that i could cancel my reservation if i gave notice 48 hours or more from my date of arrival to pick up car.Their rates where over $400 less than their closest competitor.
Booking process was good and the price they found was excellent. My only hesitation is that you don’t get a confirmation number with your rental agency until right before you pick it up. This means I don’t know if my rental is confirmed until right before I pick it up. Which also means there is a possibility that the rental company will not have a car set aside for me on that day. I recommmend that Wisecars figure out a solution, or revised agreement with their suppliers, to provide a better peace of mind for travelers like me.

I had to call them a couple of times to cancel and rebook (due to finding a lower fare a few days later), and everyone I spoke with was very knowledgeable and friendly. Great customer service! This was my first booking experience with Wisecar service, I liked everything - it was easy, convenient and fast. The only thing that confused me was the phrase that I would receive a voucher 48 hours before the start of the rental. It is strange and uncomfortable not to be sure of booking before the expiration of the free cancellation period. Usually, some kind of confirmation comes by e-mail. I would like to make sure.
Was skeptical as I had never used Wisecars before. Was traveling into Salt Lake City on 2/17/2022 for a four-day trip. The main rental car companies, Budget, Enterprise, Fox were all charging $500-$700 for a rental car. Ridiculous! Wisecars popped up and we obtained the same rental car from Fox, through Wisecars, for $300. Showed up at the Fox rental car counter expecting the worst but everything was all set. No issues, got the keys, and away we went. Im now a fan!
We are planning a big family trip to Hawaii and knew we needed to book the rental car as soon as possible. After going through so many different rental company websites, I found Wisecars and found an amazing deal that the other sites could not beat and it was for the same car that we have been looking at to compare rates. The site was easy to use and glad we were able to find Wisecars before almost booking with another well known name company.
Beware- The price they quote you is less than the price youre actually charged. At least in my case. I gave them multiple chances to correct the problem, but they refused, and it was all over $3! Very quick to take their $325+ at time of contract commitment, but when you make your final payment based on the Wisecars agreement, and its more, good luck getting it back from them. They quote a price to the penny, but when youre charged more they tell you the amount can fluctuate.A good business would have eaten the $3 bucks... Write it off as smart business. Very frustrating...

I reserved a car and received a confirmation that they had processed my payment and would send me a rental car voucher 48 hours prior to my reservation time. They also require a posted review in order to access the cancellation protection, so I am writing a review now based on little information for that reason. Booked a rental van through wisecars for a family trip this summer. The booking process was very easy and the van was listed at a great price. We have yet to go on our trip but so far, so good! Only complaint is wishing I had the voucher earlier. I’d be lying if I said I’m not having anxiety about showing up to issues with the booking. Excited for our trip & hoping all goes smooth!

A bit odd to have to write a review before picking up the car in order to get enhanced cancellation protection because it means I cant actually give a full and honest review.Anyway, as far as having made a booking is concerned, I have made one and according to Wisecars I can now just sit back and relax. Still to hear from the rental company and I immediately had a question but could make no contact with anyone either on the phone (a London number but the message was not in English so no idea what they were trying to tell me) or via their Facebook messenger link so there are plenty of variables ahead that could change our rating. I wont give a higher rating until all is revealed after I have completed my hire.
Absolutely awful experience. Stay far away from this company.The reservation is under my husbands name but I booked the reservation and have been emailing customer support with Piotr at Wise Cars.We were linked through Kayak to Wise Cars for what was supposed to be an on-site car rental. We received an email confirmation shortly after booking but nothing besides that with any further directions or voucher.The day of our flight we were delayed by a few hours. The first thing we did was attempt to reach Wise Cars to notify them. We had to call numerous times, half the time the phone did not even ring. When we finally got through we were disconnected, then we tried calling several more times and gave up.Upon arrival to the Miami airport, we couldnt find Car Wiz(whom Wise Cars booked us with) anywhere. This was supposed to be on-site mind you. So we try calling Wise Cars again, same dance; we cant get through. So now were thinking weve been scammed. We ask around and are told there is a shuttle for that company outside, there are no signs anywhere.We go and wait for a shuttle while still attempting to reach Wise Cars. After 25 minutes and no shuttle we finally get someone on the line. Communication was very poor. He sent us an email that was never sent to us before with our voucher. He assured us a shuttle would be on the way within 20 minutes. Now its 35 minutes post our last conversation. Almost one hour waiting for a shuttle, again trying to call numerous times Wise Cars and Car Wiz.When the shuttle finally arrives after waiting for 1 hour were taken off site to a sketchy little garage where they give us the run around trying to sell us a toll pass for $20 a day and telling us that our full coverage insurance by a large provider is not accepted by their company and that we were required to buy their insurance for $25 a day for a 5 day rental(do the math).We were extremely frustrated by everything that had happened we told them to take us back to the airport. We rented a car from an actual on-site agency and we were out the door within 15 minutes, no hassle. It took 2 hours to try to get our car with Wise Cars affiliates Car Wiz.Now we arent even being returned our money for a car that wasnt even used. This company is a RIP OFF and SCAM with NO customer service.
My partner and I had a horrible experience with this company. Upon arrival to the car hire venue, we were told that our booking was made through a third party (Wisecars) so the full insurance cover which we had already paid directly to Wisecars, did not mean anything to the company we were picking the car up from and was a complete waste of money. We were not informed of this at the point of booking so upon arrival we had to either put down a credit card with a limit of nearly £3,000 which neither of us had at that point, or we had to pay 50 Euros PER DAY to insure the car. So it ended up costing us an extra £170 which we were not expecting to pay on the day of arriving to Iceland and was of course a very disappointing start to the holiday. Do not use this company! Go direct to a local car hire company instead and do your research.EDIT: In response to Wisecars reply on apparently not selling insurance: we were specifically asked at checkout if we wanted to add insurance to ensure we would be fully covered during our hire. We bought the cover and then got told upon collection in person that we needed further, much more expensive cover, which we were not pre warned about by Wisecars. So they lie as well basically...avoid.
They are not the ones who rent the car to you but only the brokers who look for a car rental for you in the requested country. Until here there is nothing wrong but they should be reliable of who they work with and they should make sure they work with legitimate people. We rented a car online in Cancun - Mexico for a good price with NU Cars / Infinity Cars (the double name is shady enough already but wasnt aware at the time of the booking). Once we got there they asked us to pay a minimum of $300 on top of the car rental for insurance if we are not able to provide a document from my credit card company stating that they can cover over $9600 if something happens. Signed by the company and printed off; obviously a complete rip off just to make more money on top of the rental; they even told us that if we cancel our booking with Wisecars that theyd give us a better price. After a long conversation and getting no where we left, losing our deposit, went next door to another car rental, booked a car for a third of the price with insurance covering 90% of the car and no unheard documents needed.When complained to Wisecars customer service they blamed on us as we didnt read the 35 pages of terms & conditions, we felt scammed big time!A complete rip off!!
The online booking process was seamless. It is always a little unnerving to book with a new vendor, but everything appeared to be legit and the booking process was easily done. Stay away from this company. We booked two vehicles for a family holiday. Just prior to travel we had to cancel due to Covid. Rang the company and because we were just out of the fine print cancellation period we lost the entire rental amount. No option to postpone to a later date, no sympathy, just tough luck. What makes this all the more infuriating is the car rental market is super tight in Australia, they will be renting those cars 2 hrs later for double the price. You may pay a few bucks more with other companies but it is worth it. Lesson learned, stay away from wisecars.
Easy to Navigate however the mobile user experience - payment via Mobile device - didnt work properly. I contacted via email customer care where the representative requested the credit card number. After my reply I didnt received any additional info.Finaly I managed to complete the rental from a desktop device.
Terrible company! I rented a vehicle through them for a local rental car at the Chania Airport. The local rental car company offered me a unsuitable vehicle that was saturated with cigarette smoke. I canceled the rental and was charged the full rental (30 days) even though I only had the vehicle for 2 hours due to a mandatory appointment. I explained to Wisecars and they sided with the shady local car rental company.I learned my lesson though. Never book with a 3rd party company. Always book direct.
Horrible rental agency, DO NOT USE. They lure you in with low rates, but leave you stranded at the airport with no car and no one answers the phone. Their customer service line doesnt even answer calls, their chats are unavailable and wont answer for hours. I was sent an email with details about how to contact them for a free shuttle to the pickup site and their hours of operation. I called from several phones for hours and it was never answered. I was forced to rent a car from another agency for triple wisecars price. Then wisecars customer service had the balls to try to blame me saying I was calling them during hours they werent open, when quite clearly I called during their listed business hours and had the call logs to prove it. Their customer service is so bad they dont even know what time zone they are dealing with. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY.Edit after reply: ah, so you never got the flight information that you never asked for, thats always a classic. You say youre investigating why my calls werent answered and its over a week later and you still dont know. Are you having problems having your calls answered too? Absolute garbage company that couldnt even answer calls to their customer service line or even respond in a timely manner to the messages I sent on several different platforms, leaving me waiting for over 4 hours at a time for any response.
While on a trip in Denmark I booked a car via Wisecars, while at first it all seemed to work perfectly the problems started soon. I day before the set date I call the vendor to inquire if everything is set for me to collect the car in the morning. The vendor was very surprised as they did not have me in their system. Therefore I called Wisecars to find out what went wrong, according to them the wanted date was a few months not tomorrow... Of course I checked my Mails which confirmed my booked time and not at some point in the future. Trying to solve this the hotline employee was very unhelpful and quite rude. At some point we managed to get it back to the proper date. Now I thought all would be set, but the shitshow continues. I specifically asked if the vendor accepts german mastercards and was guaranteed they do. I arrive the next day at the vendor and surprise they dont accept my credit card nor Cash for the deposit. Therefore I had to cancel the booking, expecting to get my money returned from wisecars as this was clearly not my fault. Wisecars responded with citing their User Agreement that the user has to bring a credit card in their name with sufficient funds and as this hasnt been the case they deny my refund request. Which is just a bad joke, I brought a credit card I specifically asked if it would work and was guaranteed it would. This is borderline fraud in my opinion. Really a bad image Wisecars create for themself, I for one will never use their services again.
In this difficult time to rent a car, with the high cost, flights being canceled without warning and no refund policy at some rental agencies, Wisecars was a good find for us. Booking was easy and straightforward. Pricing was better than we found at the major car rental sites, Travelocity or even Costco. Cancellation insurance was reasonably priced.NOVEMBER 16 UPDATE: true that the booking process was easy and the cost was reasonable for these times… BUT BUYER BEWARE. When we arrived at our destination, the car rental line had about 200 people in front of us. Yes, 200, I counted them while my wife stood in the line. I called Wisecars and got the “We’re sorry, that’s your problem with the rental company” response. Neither they nor Budget could even tell me if there were enough cars. Completely unreasonable. We cancelled and disputed the charges.
Sadly Wisecars works with scammers providers and do not want to make any refunds.I rented a car through them to a provider called Mex Rent a Car in Sofia (check out google reviews from them). And those scammers wanted me to pay more than what I already did to Wisecars (with full insurance) pretending that they only accept Mastercard for deposit.I left and rented a car to SIXT after calling Wisecars who did not wanted to make me a refund.A very big disappointment and a bad way to start my holidays, I advice all of you to choose real companies with good reputation, do not use those crooked brokers.I presented a credit card, we have been exchanging a lot about it by email already... You just need to see Mex Rent a Car review anyways to understand that it is a total scam (hundreds of people explaining how they are getting scammed) and Wisecars is scamming as well, since they are working together in stealing peoples money.
Giving 2 stars, but should probably be less. The price on our vehicle was great, but the vehicle itself, and process at the airport was a nightmare. Wisecars sourced through Dollar, Dollar didnt have any cars left, took about 2.5 hours to get a car and we had to upgrade to get the size of car promised, then the Kia Soul that was assigned to us had major issues, had to call for service, key fob didnt work, lock on car was obviously manipulated and transmission sounded like it was about to failWisecars itself is a great app, their assigned vendor was TERRIBLE.
Total scam, they work with providers that do not want to deliver the cars that you booked through Wise car (with full insurance) without you paying literally twice what you already paid...Worthless broker, i advice any of you to book a car directly to the provider of your choice, like SIXT or any big renting company who have a reputation.Be aware of the fake paid reviews giving them 5 stars...
Competitive prices and easy to navigate website. It took a little time to get a response from the online support which was via WhatsApp but it did not affect the booking process. When the car rental company was unable to fulfil our reservation Wisecars notified us very promptly and found a suitable alternative. We received a helpful and friendly service when we called with a query.
The worst place for rentig.So much line 1:30, when you arrived, if you don’t have your drive license in physic (on myphone for my part) or your paypent card has a problem, its considered as a no show..The best is the way that the support will welcome you when they will explain you that.Thank you Wisecars, i’ll advise you for my worst enemy

Like I said only a autochecked box under a search bar, nowhere else does it ask for it and the receipt confirms it is for 20-99 year olds. They refused to offer any sort of compensation or even accountability for their shady lack of transparency.If I could give zero stars I would. If you are an under 25 driver, beware. They have a tiny checked box at the bottom of the search bar saying i am 35 years old. It was tiny so I didnt even see it. They never had me enter in my age after that and the receipt said for (20-99 year olds) so I thought I was good to go. When I got to my destination I ended up paying almost double in young driver fees. When I contacted the company they said I entered in my age as 35 and couldnt help me. Um no. Your company auto checks that at the search screen. Shady, shady, shady. The icing on the cake is we spent 3 hrs in Hawaii waiting for our rental. Not worth the few bucks you save when the company has such an intentional lack of transparency. Run away people.

I travel quite often for work and being a New Yorker like to take advantage of any time I can get a car to myself. So happy to have found this amazing service and look forward to using them again.

2022-06-21None of the instructions for pick up are correct. Dont go to car rental center, dont go to bus stop 7 ( which doesnt even exist). And heck, even the phone number listed isnt correct. Would not use again. Still waiting for the shuttle so who knows what else well uncoverEdit: Im sorry your reply doesnt really make sense. If you are getting bad reviews, I would most definitely think it is within your purview to reach out to your contractors to make sure their information is correct so as to not hurt your reputation. I, a disappointed consumer, should not have to do additional work on your behalf. And yes, I did contact your company, but you were of little assistance. The Wisecars representative, after 10 minutes of back and forth, just gave us a phone number to a shuttle company with no further assistance.2nd Edit: Dont rent from any of the companies in this photo. 2022-03-01After much searching Wisecars Car Rental was by far the cheapest way to go. Website was easy to use! I was a bit skeptical with it being so much cheaper than others. Although we have not gone on our trip yet, I will update this review after we come back from vacation. Hoping and praying all goes smoothly! UPDATE: We have just arrived back from vacation and we had no issues with our car rental. We did not find out what rental company we were getting until a couple days before our arrival. It was Thrifty. Once we arrived at the airport and got to the car rentals, everybody and their brother was waiting in the Thrifty Car Rental line, there was hardly any lines at any other car rental line. We waited over an hour and a half to be waited on. We are Thrifty Blue Chip Members and should have been able to add spouse as a second driver but Thrifty would not allow it. (Disappointed in Thrifty, not Wisecars) Not sure why Wisecars did not pick another rental company. So with all that being said, Wisecars was still the cheapest option and when I found the same car a little cheaper a few days before our trip, they adjusted our rental agreement!

If you were to use this site effectively, youd need to sleuth every rental option with a fairly specific Google search to understand what youre getting yourself into.Our flight was late to arrive, and the rental car company decided to close before allowing us to pickup the vehicle. Apparently, for this branch of this company, this was par for the course. Neither company would help support my family as we were stranded at an unknown airport in an unknown place in the middle of the night. No options to get a car, and no refunds.

2022-03-31I havent picked up the car yet but I can relate this: My travel plans changed so I called Wisecars to see if I could modify my reservation. The phone was answered after only a very short wait (< 30 seconds) and the agent (Piotr) was not only friendly, but knowledgeable and courteous. I had no expectations of a successful outcome to my request at such short notice, but Piotr offered an option that suited my needs and saved me money. Based on the prompt and courteous service, I will definitely look to Wisecars first the next time I need to rent a car.

2022-09-21I had a great customer service email interaction with Elsa this morning helping me with my rental reservation. She helped me swap my website reservation to a known (and preferred by me) agency that was available on the app. She also saved me money in the process.. I would advise anyone looking to rent via wisecars to download the app and sign up to get the best price with the transparency of knowing the rental car company you will be using. Thanks Elsa for solving my issues for me on the booking end.

2022-07-06We were a bit worried as this is our first time booking through a third party for a rental car. Everything went smoothly upon arrival to the airport and we got our rental through Thrifty quicker than expected! Please read all the information on their website as they only accept credit cards, not debit cards! We will definitely be using Wisecars again for our future rental cars. Thank you!

2022-06-21This is the worst experience I’ve ever had. Their customer service is absolutely TERRIBLE! I try my best to have patience and grace because I understand that it’s usually not the person on the phones fault. However, I couldn’t even GET someone on the phone. They disconnected my call over 10 times. I left multiple voice messages. They didn’t answer the multiple emails I sent until six days later. In fact, when they answered my emails they rudely replied that next time I should only send one. The only other thing they said was “we will get back to you”.When we arrived at the terminal we were refused service because the credit card did not match the drivers license. We were NOT aware of this situation. We tried to use the credit card that we originally put $360 on for the pre-payment. We then tried to offer a matching debit card AND cash. We were denied everything and were stranded in Seattle without a car.It’s so bad that I had to leave this review. I hope nobody else books with this company. We were told by others who had used them and been denied their rental that it’s known they make their money off of canceled reservations and not giving refunds.DO NOT BOOK WISE CARS!!!***edit: they are full of IT! Every single review they comment back that they don’t have the information. Unbelievable. I’m disputing on my credit card. I don’t care if I spend more in court fees than the car was worth! This company is being reported to the better business burrow.

2022-07-31We rented through Wisecars on Kauai and everything worked out well. It may feel a bit disconcerting not to get the info until a few days beforehand, but everything was smooth and as indicated. the pricing was really good compared to other agencies. We ended up renting with Dollar. Would rent with them again.

2022-09-22It is telling the number of negative reviews detailing payment methods when completing booking reservations. On booking, their website shows that both debit and credit cards can be used. What they conveniently dont mention is that ONLY credit cards can be used to complete the booking when collecting the car. In addition when we offered to use my partners credit card this was also refused, leaving us to find another provider who was far more helpful thankfully. Almost a month later and constant delays claiming the rental company hadnt communicated with them regarding my case they refuse to refund the initial deposit claiming I was a no show because I didnt read their terms and conditions after the fact. For future reference inform your customers prior to accepting initial payment that credit cards are mandatory to complete a booking as it would avoid wasting our time and money!Edit: In reply to your response I have noted that Fox cars does not even appear as a provider on your website. Once again why do you allow for customers to pay a deposit with a debit or credit card but at the desk on collection only by credit card, it is not made explicitly clear on your website. Could you perhaps tell me any other service that requires you to use a credit card as the sole means of payment? Taking money without providing a service is unacceptable.
