I’ve been a proud VW owner and customer of this dealership for 8 years now. Sad that dealerships are becoming stealerships. I took my car in for a routine batter replacement since it’s about every 2 years the batteries go bad out here in the desert. I also had the tire pressure light come on a couple days ago that I wanted them to look into and I showed them a free tire inspection coupon I received. I knew in the owners manual what the light code and status meant as it was clearly stated. I had them look at the light when I checked in and they said it was the engine light and I laughed. Then she asked her co worker and he said it’s likely the engine but mark it down as the tire light. I received a call later that the better was swapped out but they had no idea why the TPS light was on. I knew it was because of one of the tire pressure sensors since it says so in my owners manual. She then said they would have to run a computer diagnostics for $99. I then said forget it and I’ll take it to a tire shop that will do it for free. All I needed to know was which TPS sensor went bad so I can have it replaced. It’s unfortunate that things have gone downhill for their customers.
Car has 25k miles on it. Had an oil change change and my windshield wipers replaced. As well as my brakes checked due to shaking when braking. My brake pads are fine...but the rotors are glazed so apparently i need a $600 brake job on a 2020 with 25,000 miles. And then i spent $50 on wiper baldes for the simple convenience of not having to stop later for cheaper ones....and they couldnt even top off my windshield wiper fluid. According to my VW app my brakes and tires are fine after inspection. Even though they definitely are not. So im not sure how i feel about my first time with this department. Im irritated all the way around over my brakes at 25k freaking miles. So now im off to spend more money on wiper fluid and possibly make another appointment somewhere else for another inspection because im not sure this one was done properly.
Manny at the VW Service Center of Palm Springs was awesome to work with! As soon as I arrived, he greeted me and we discussed what I needed done to my Beetle (just a scheduled 30k oil change and tire rotation). He was extremely friendly and easy to talk with. He introduced me to the person who would be in charge of my car (Adam, who was also great) and told me that it would be about 2 hours. The car was done within and hour and half. VW of PS is the best VW dealership I have ever dealt with and I am happy to be a continued costumer of theirs.
Damaged the front end of my car and this was where I was sent by my insurance. They had my car for 3 months and was told almost weekly that would be the week it was ready. They told me the car had been transported to a local paint shop but I live in the area and noticed while driving by my car was still sitting in the lot. I called to confirm it had been sent and they said yes so I of course called them out on it. They told me they must have made a mistake and it was going out that day so the next morning I drove my specifically to see if it had been moved and it had.. to the back where I couldn’t see it from the road. I took pictures for proof and once again called them out on it. I finally got my car back after $10,000 and my transmission light was on. They checked it out and said if I drove about 10 miles it would turn off. After 20 miles it hadnt so I took it for a diagnosis to another shop and they told me my car repairs were incomplete so I now have to take it to the VW in Indio to be fixed again and I’ll be without my car yet again. When I called them to tell them my light was not going off I left a message with the front desk for the manger to contact me and I never was contacted. I’ll never understand the need to lie to a customer when I was super understanding the entire time. Will not be returning to this VW.
The Palm Springs VW Dealership had my Beetle for one month. This was to correct work that they had previously done when I had taken it in for work just weeks before. The engine light illuminated after just 2 days and the headlamp kept misconnecting.I told the Service Manager that my mechanic had run diagnostics and determined it was an evaporative issue. My mechanic sold me new gas cap, $40.The dealership installed another gas cap ($150). The gas cap was clearly not the problem. I have been waiting for monthsfor the part. Absolutely no word from the dealership! My phone messages from the Service Manager go unreturned! The headlamp issue was corrected in 5 minutes when Ipicked up the car the second time! They kept my car for a month to replace the light bracket and a gas cap I didn’t need!I have heard nothing but fast talking BS from PS VW. I still am waiting for a part that was ordered 4 months ago.
I took my car in for an oil leak, they “fixed” it by replacing transmission cooler parts, which were $500 alone (I found these parts for $50), but gave them the benefit of the doubt as maybe I was wrong. But car still leaks oil like a sieve. The kept the car for a week without touching it and alleged they tried to contact me, they didn’t, nor contact my wife, or me through text. When I tried to call and complain, it took 8 calls to reach someone at the service desk, and that was after I got a sales manager who then walked over to the service desk to make sure my call was taken. I’ll be more than happy to change this post after this is resolved, but as of right now, I am thoroughly unhappy with every step of my service with them.
After break job they washed the car, the worker opened sunroof, for whatever reason and my headliner and seats got wet. Headliner stained. I was told by supervisor they would have their detailer clean it. The service manager said he would contact me with an appointment...that has NOT happened.
The gentleman working at the service desk,Manny was very professional and accommodating.I appreciate when employees are nice and understanding. I explained to Manny that I had missed my appointment the day before because I work in healthcare and our clinic has been overwhelmingly busy, so I forgot to cancel the appointment. So he says when I called no problem,We can take care of you today, if you can make it in.Now that’s Customerservice!Thank you MannyMrs Navarro
Three times in a row I asked for early morning service. The service guy never told me that they had cars left from the day before and wouldnt be able to get to my car until afternoon. How hard is that to say? Also, they ordered parts and never called me to tell me it was in. I had to call 5 days after they told me theyd ordered it. I spoke to the Service manager....yes yes, everyone is sorry but nobody picked up the phone to tell me the real story. I dont believe I will every go back to this dealership
The service team at Volkswagen of Palm Springs is great! I’ve brought my vehicle in for routine maintenance twice and they are professional and courteous. The online service appointment process is very easy and the agents are conscientious of my time when I arrive. Overall, a great experience!
The work that was done was good, I mean it was just my first oil change, but they checked out the whole car as well. It did take a long time for service, however they shuttled me home so I could wait there, which was great. The only issue I had was in the afternoon when I call to get an update, I was put on hold for quite some time and then disconnected. They had mentioned they are short staffed and I hope they get enough staff to be able to attend to phone calls and such. Everyone was professional and nice.
Unfortunately, this dealership is the closest to my home but I would rather go to any other VW dealership. I used work near Ontario VW and their service department is fantastic. Palm Springs VW, on the other hand, really comes up short. To start, I made an appointment for 7am and was there at 7am. To my disappointment, the door was still locked and the lights off. After waiting 15 minutes I decided to drop my key in the night drop box because I needed to get to work to start my job on time. Fortunately, I had a ride and didnt need my car back quickly. The services that I needed I knew should easily be completed by the end of the day (e.g. oil change, air filter change, 80,000 mile standard checks) so I expected to hear from the dealership later in the day. I waited until 3pm before I called to check on the status of the service and when I called I got directed immediately to voicemail. I hung up and called right back and luckily got a person to answer the phone. I asked the agent about the status of my car and they stated that it was finished and the manager was currently signing off on the paper work. They said that I could head to the dealership to pick up my car anytime within the next 30 mins.I arrived at the dealership about 2 hours later, near the end of the day, and to my surprise when I walked in and asked to pick up my car, the agent stated that the paperwork hadnt been signed off by the manager yet. This was annoying since two hours earlier the agent said the manager was currently reviewing and signing off. So, I had to wait for the paperwork to be finished before I could check out.No one from the service department spoke to me about the services provided or reviewed anything. This is usually a standard step that I have experienced at other VW dealerships and so was my expectation. There were a couple of outstanding recalls that needed addressed but there was no mention about whether they actually were addressed. I asked and the agent working the check-out counter said everything was done without going into detail. Those services appeared on the receipt so I took that as the truth but it would have been nice to have someone explain everything.Overall, my experience with this dealerships service department has been abysmal and was nothing short of very disappointing this time.
I’ve had my car serviced here for 4 years. The service this time was noticeably different. Not as good. No one greeted me when I arrived. The car was not ready when I was told it would be. I showed up at the designated time, after calling to confirm and still had to wait 30 minutes. I was offered a car wash with the service. When the car was finally ready, I was asked if I wanted the car washed.. that it would be another 30 minutes. I travel to PS (from LA) for exceptional VW service. If my next experience is like this one, I’ll most likely be taking my automotive needs to a different dealership.
Although many of their technicians were out sick due to the pandemic, the remaining crew did their best to complete my repairs. The clunk caused by loose motor mounts is almost completely gone. Ill follow up to see if anything else needs to be done. Thanks for your efforts!
Overall good experience they took great care of my car but I had a problem with having to come back 4 days in a row. First came in to have my car looked at. No problem there so they ordered a part for it and I can come back the next day to have it installed. 2nd day I come in drop my car off come back and my car was never touched saying the tech never was able to get to it when I brought it in first thing in the morning and picked it up at the end of the day for like 9 hours it couldn’t be looked at. I come in to have it installed on the 3rd day finally they look at it but turns out that part was the wrong part. 4th day I come in to have the correct part installed and they finally install it fixing what needed to be fixed. After 4 days a simple connector that should’ve taken at least 2 days. I’m not mad or angry I’m just disappointed. They treated me very well after said they would fill up my gas tank and wash it, but they never did. I might try a different VW dealer in the future
Had a factory recall for airbag replacement. The team here was friendly, fast and efficient. Performed the service in less time than promised and, while I waited, checked in with me to keep me up to date three times during the hour and fifteen minutes it took. Overall a very happy client experience.
Made an appointment for a standard oil change and inspection, was told that they were running behind and that the approximate time would be 2 hours... they did offer to have me shuttled but was declined. Was told they would call after when my vehicle was ready, after 3 1/2 hours i returned assuming the vehicle was ready. I was told it had finished 30 minutes prior. I received no phone call and was told they may have accidentally dialed it wrong, i let the desk associate know that in any aspect a 3 1/2 hour long oil change is not acceptable..desk agent did reduce price in the service but in no way makes up for that wait. I would weigh service location options if this does not improve..After previously posting in regards to my experience, there has been no contact or attempt to make my experience right. Have made multiple attempts to contact Cesar the service director and have not been provided any customer service. From emails to voicemails, they simply do not care or acknowledge their customers. I will not be returning for any service at this location and will look to take my business elsewhere. Completely disappointed, not what i was expecting from a dealership of this standard..
Purchased VW here and although we like the car, the service department level of service is at times not great. Greeted by Service Directors Manny and Kim in the past and they are fine. However, we usually get Allen who never greets you and makes you wait sometimes for 20 minutes before acknowledging you to get work done. He has the least level of service among the three there. Just purchased another car recently and chose not to purchase another VW due to level of service -since we mostly end up with Allen. Of course, its their loss.
I brought my vehicle in because my tires, which I believe was installed by you guys before I purchased my vehicle. One day one of my tires was low on air so I stopped at America’s Tire to get it filled. Their service technician informed me that three of my tires were installed, by you guys, inside out. So I brought my vehicle in so that you guys could install them correctly as they were designed to be installed. Now, with this in mind why wouldn’t your service technicians balance the wheels at that time? Instead, I find this out by driving on the freeway and when I hit 72 mph the steering wheel vibrated horribly, so now I have to bring it back again. Big waste of time. What’s even more strange, is now they tell me there is a nail in my tire, that cannot be repaired, coincidence or are you now trying to sell me new tires.
My 20K service was up and I reached out to my Service Consultant just to find out he is no longer there. However, I knew another Service Consultant- Allen who has seen me regularly coming for service. He assisted me and I was taken care better than before by Allen. He is very professional and attentive. During my wait, he kept me updated the whole time on my vehicle status. He answered every question and concern that I had. Thank you, Allen!
It took two and one half hours to change my oil with my scheduled appointment and the reason they gave me was they were washing my car. My car was not washed like they said and there was greasy hand prints on the hood, drivers door and the inside of the drivers door. The car was not washed and never got wet.
I purchased tires for my VW direct from VW of Palm Springs rather than a tire store due to competitive pricing and having factory certified technicians working on my car. My car was purchased from another dealership, but it will now be serviced at VW of Palm Springs. This is the only dealership willing to help me locate a brake controller plug installed under the dash as part of the tow package. Allen, the service advisor agreed to help with this, no problem at all whereas the dealer I purchased from seemed to think I was speaking a foreign language despite just asking for explanation of a factory feature of the car. Once in the shop, Allen showed us exactly where the plug was, which will make it very easy to equip the car for towing. VW of Palm Springs has knowledgeable employees who care that the customer is happy. I had previously had a different VW serviced at VW of Palm Springs several years ago and was happy then as well. I recommend the service department at VW of Palm Springs. Thank you.
Had a appointment at 11 am set by Manny to replace two parts they ordered. Around 1pm I called because i needed to find out what time my car would be done. I spoke to Alan and he told me they would get to my car when they can fit it in the schedule, So i said so having an appointment doesn’t matter? And his response was mhm . We called to speak to Ed the manager because Cesar the service manager was off today according to the lady that answered the phone . I thought it was weird that Ed kept saying he was going to speak to Cesar ( how if he was off? )!. Anyway Ed said he would call us back after finding out what was going on. We let an hour and a half go by and called back to see what was going on . He said Cesar was supposed to call us , but how if he wasn’t working? So around 3 something i call service myself because once again Ed promised to call back and he didn’t. Alan tells us that the car was getting the horn changed and that the second part that was ordered was wrong and says they still need to scan it because day before engine light was flashing. So it took 5 long hours for them to change a horn . We told them we would just go get the car instead. We get there and Alan is obviously upset that we spoke to the manager about our early experience with calling on time line about car. They supposedly washed it but looks like they just sprayed with a hose and wiped dirt around . Since we bought the car the experience has been horrible. Good luck to the next fool who dares by there car here. I could say so much more but I wouldn’t waste any more time at Palm Springs Volkswagen. Shame on you.
Absolutely the worst dealership we have ever dealt with! Horrible communication, don’t do what they say or even said they did. Took them 5 times and a total of 134 days (that’s 4.5 months within a 11 month period to the day) in their service shop to (fingers crossed we’ll see if this “fix” holds) be able to diagnose and repair one of their own vehicles emissions egr code. The same exact code every single time. No loaner car or rental car, nothing. So we get to pay for a vehicle we can’t even use. Sure everyone seems super nice when you talk to them and oh they’ll take care of you but as soon as you walk out or hang up it’s as if you never had a conversation with them about anything. Not to mention they offered to buy the car back to us and when we came down to complete the transaction no one we worked with was at work. Weather they had days off or one of the actual service managers who never showed up for his shift. We have left I don’t know how many messages with NO call backs. Nor have they even called to apologize that they can’t continue with the offer they gave us for the vehicle they just stopped all communication. Even the general manager couldn’t make time for us when we went in person to talk to them. Waited for 1.5 hours to be told he has too much going on to speak with us today! Bottom line is take your time and money else where and save yourselves the headache of dealing with them.

2022-07-11I recently had routine maintenance work on my Atlas. Every employee that I interacted with was polite and helpful. Due to short staffing, I was offered a ride away from the dealer so I didn’t have to wait in the lobby all day. They were upfront with me on how long it would take. They explained future service that would be needed (tires) but didn’t push that I buy new ones on the spot. The car is still running great post maintenance. I will definitely return in the future.

2022-07-12VW of Palm Springs is the most professional, most knowledgeable, most courteous, honestly the most pinnacle VW Dealer of them all. Alan was the best to deal with, I can’t thank him and the entire service department there enough. That man deserves a raise and promotion, he was such a pleasure to work with. His communication, attention to detail, and genuine passion for his job shined in every time we communicated, the way he’d follow up with me, work with my needs, and honestly I would drive hours out of my way to have my car serviced by that whole crew if my car ever needs a little attention in the future. Thank you to everyone who was involved in getting my car back in action. Truly a delightful experience for me all around. Thank you !!

2022-04-25A really great service department. I did not buy my car there but they took care of my issues as though I did. Friendly staff, gave me a ride home and picked me up when the work was finished. Gave the car a very good car wash as well. Highly recommend them.

2022-05-18The folks at this vw service department are the most friendly and responsive I have ever encountered. My fuel pump replacement was covered by warranty and it cost me absolutely nothing, they were super professional super fast and kept me informed up to the minute. They even washed the old girl! Thank you Alan and manny especially, for your friendly service- best dealership experience ever!

2022-03-31I bought my car at VW of Palm Springs and all service on my car has been done only at this dealership. They provide excellent customer service and also a very fine Service Department for my car. The mechanics are top-notch and they treat my car as if it were their own, as they do with all of the vehicles. The price they quote is honored and the Department is professional, organized and efficient.

2022-05-11As usual this is always a great experience. There is one thing that left a bad taste in our mouth. We bought a adhesive back door protector for our 2015 VW Tiguan from the parts department and we were charge $40.00 for installing it. I thought this could be a perk one could have when we use this dealership as regulars.Just thought this could be a great way to keep regular loyal customers loyal.

2022-05-23Service was excellent in all respects for 30,000 mile service. Manny was very helpful in explaining the services available. Iopted to wait for the 2 hour service rather than take their shuttle. Waiting room was pleasant enough with Wi-Fi available. Out in 2 hours. All good.

2022-06-22Quick and easy. Front desk is pleasant and efficient.I was a little disappointed that this location doesn’t accept VW credit card, as I wanted to open one on the day of my sevice. I also haven’t heard back from anyone regarding the rebate for the 4 new tires I purchased. All else was good.

2022-04-22I Brought my VW Tiguan in for 70,00 check-up& brake issue . Asked them to check the brakes (Heavy pulsing when high speed braking). They stated the brakes were fine .That I should take the car to get the rotors deglazed. Now a month later the brake repair shop tells me the Brake were fine
