Ive been taking my Dads 2003 Buick to VJs Auto Service since we moved to this area almost a year ago. They have given this poor old clunker a new lease on life. They always point out what repairs are essential, which are optional, and what long-term prognosis we can expect. They are courteous, professional, efficient, and trustworthy. I never feel pressured or forced to approve services. They always provide a complete explanation of what needs to be done and why. Their prices are fair and honestly, what price is too high for safetys sake? Michael and Brian seem always to be on duty and could not be nicer. Im very happy I found VJs on Yelp and am happy to recommend them to anyone needing excellent auto service.
As a practicing physician I have little time to care for things like my car. VJs came to my office, picked up the car and serviced it and drove it back to my office before closing. This was a great service to me along with just what I needed for maintenance. All went perfectly and I now know where to get any further service. I definitely would recommend them to anyone in need of quality, helpful and skilled service

From the owner on, all the individuals who have cared for my cars have been effective and knowledgable in keeping our vehicles in perfect condition. Our twenty-one year old Lexus sedan stills runs as it did the day we purchased; my convertible always was dependable and the care for other vehicles was always done well, cost effective and fair and finished as promised. The personnel that VJ and his team provides are trained on customer care and both my wife and I only wish he would have shops close to where we now live. But the trip there is worthwhile. Car care does not get any better anywhere and we have tried both dealer and private shops. Wish VJs was open in more places actually.
We have used VJs Auto Service to maintain our RV and have been very happy with their care for our vehicle. Not only are they very knowledgeable about RVs and autos, when they do a repair, they do it right the first time. They are very proactive and spot potential problems early before they become an issue. We are very happy with this service and can recommend them highly.

I just went in for the first time. I spoke to Brian who was friendly and helpful. He did not treat me like an idiot for not knowing the ins and outs of an AC system. He educated me and seemed honest and helpful. They work on RVs too which really helps. First impressions good. Clean and orderly office, polite workers. Ill check in later with an update. Brian upsold me a safety package to prep for a long trip. Checking my AC system on an RV.
I had a great experience with their service staff. They were very easy to work with and were by far much more communicative to me than the place I had gone before. They let me know what to expect and were nice to answer all of my questions. They made me feel like they actually cared. I was glad to have them work on my car. I plan on going there again if I have any more problems.
VJs Auto Service was a great place to take my RV. They had a challenging time getting my battery replaced under my warranty, but managed it wonderfully ! The cost was very reasonable for some extra work on the RV and I will always bring it back.Thank you!
Been going to VJs auto for well over 20 years, beginning when he was a mechanic in a gas station. But over the years his business has become grossly over-priced and the work is substandard. After multiple visits, they finally had to glue my sunroof because they could not get it to stop leaking. They messed up my mothers radio and light system and refuse to repair it. I just got two separate quotes for engine trouble, both well below the ridiculous quote that VJs quoted me. Both other quotes are more than $1200 less than what VJs is quoting. It is not worth the money as there are other great, honest mechanics out there who are not going to overcharge.
We heard about VJs when we received a post card that they serviced RVs. What a relief to have a local company instead of the hassle to take our RV to the dealer who was far away, difficult to schedule an appointment with and not always offering the best service. We wanted to tow a car behind our RV and VJ sold us the necessary equipment, installed everything and then took us around town and on the freeway and taught us the proper way to drive with a tow. The day we left town we only got a few blocks from home and it became obvious that the tow bar was not functioning properly. I called VJ, he immediately came to us, fixed the bar and asked us to follow him to the shop so he could replace the tow bar. He was on the phone with the manufacturer on the way to the shop and had everything set to switch out the tow bar. During our travels we had several issues that needed clarification and VJ was always available to explain things to us. When you do business with VJ you are not a customer, you are part of the family and you are treated with the utmost of care, respect and love. We take our car and RV no where else now.
I was recommended to VJs Auto Service for RV servicing by another RV owner. I was very pleased with the customer service, their thoroughness, promptness and professionalism. The work was completed on time and for a reasonable price. I will take all my RV repair and servicing to VJs and will gladly recommend them to other RV owners.
WARNING!! NEVER GO HERE!!This place tried to charge me $1,270.89 for a fuel pump (installed) on an 06 Toyota Tundra. $800+ for the part and $500 for a 2 hour install. When I told them that was too expensive for a fuel pump (which costs $398 retail - and theres no way they are buying it retail), they told me that they would not put the fuel tank back under my truck until Monday afternoon and its Saturday right now. We showed up 4 hours after we dropped it off and the guy who works there - Michael, told me the diagnostic that I requested would only take about an hour. Upon arriving I asked him one more time to reinstall my fuel tank and return the truck in the same condition it was dropped off hours ago. They refused to put it back together right then, but at they just gave me my keys back and I called a tow truck to get it taken to another shop in Ontario, Ca - Empire Fleet Service. I would definitely recommend going to them instead, as they said they would wait for me to get it towed and that it would cost a much more reasonable $500 (installed).
I had six new tires put on at VJs in Arcadia CA on my 32 foot RV I had a problem in Nevada with a extension valve stem on one of my rear inside tires and VJs sent me a new one no charge promptly, next time im in CA Ill get my brakes done their 👍

Called them to see if they could install some high end suspension parts on my 4runner and they said they dont install customer supplied parts. Most other mechanics in the area install customer parts. This does. It make any sense to me because they will get the parts from the same sources.
Went in for Oil change on my 2010 Volks CC.Fair price and checked out everything else.Only negative was it they kept it all day, luckly I work down the block.
Tested my battery and provided a replacement at a reasonable price.

Tell me why it took 6 hours for them to change four tires and thats all I wanted was my tires changed. It took 6 hours hours, thats my whole day.Was not the first time eitherI will not be back.

2022-04-16Don’t ever go here, they will RIP YOU OFF!! I was quoted $1900 for a catalytic converter replacement here and found out from an HONEST and RESPECTABLE mechanic that VJ had marked up the price substantially……..$1200 more than it costs. Went to another place and had it fixed for $709

2021-10-23I was there for pre-sell full vehicle inspection. Staffs was super friendly and kept a great conversation during waiting. The service advisor Michael was very helpful and knowledgeable. Most Clean and professional shop out of all the shop I went to. Highly recommended.

2020-11-11My husband and I are VJ diehards! We wont go anywhere else, and have been using their services for several years. They will diagnose the problem, fix it and youre on your way in a timely manner. They always keep us updated on whats happening with everything about the car(s). Always professional and friendly - not to mention will give you the best pricing for fixing your vehicle. You never have to worry. You cant say that about many dealerships and car repair shops. We are very grateful for their services.

2021-06-12Unfortunately, if you dont know a lot about cars the following story my be all too typical. My initial quote ended up being significantly less than their final charge (over 100%+ less) to fix the only problem my car suffered from when I originally dropped it off. At that point they, by the time I got the bad news, managed to find a total of $5k+ more in issues beyond those I had initially came in for.I told them to just fix the initial problem I brought the car in for, and ate the over doubling of their estimate.I later, sadly, got in touch with a friend who had a trusted family member who was a mechanic. At the moment they are working on pinpointing the heretofore unbeknownst secondary issue, but assured me that without digging into the engine it would be impossible to diagnose the exact problem; the same problem the initial shop comfortably quoted $5k+ to fix with no digging at all. Im sure the right issue will be addressed now, and at a price that will be far less than this, rip-off shop!Ill write another, undoubtedly more positive review, about the shop my car is currently being fixed at to help guide you to a fair, honest mechanic.

2020-07-29Unfortunately, I was on Hwy 210 when my Suspension Air shocks deflated in my RV, being that it was Sunday evening there wasn’t any help available, I googled RV repair and VJ’s was close by and highly rated. Monday morning Brian is there at 6:am and helps me right away these people are the greatest, Brian the Manager, John the mechanic and even VJ and his Daughter all very helpful. If I lived close to them I w oils take all my vehicles to them!!!

2019-10-31My motor home has been serviced at VJs where I feel I get the best service without having to travel a greater distance to have competent repairs or servicing done. Brian & Mike are friendly and knowledgeable and strive to please the customer, Brian has been very helpful regarding my concerns and I will continue to be a customer.

We just had our Jeep upgraded at VJs so we can tow it behind our RV.Great service.

2016-06-30Despite being booked solid, they squeezed my RV in because I was leaving on a trip in a week. First, the manager came to my house to see if repairs could be made here (no charge for the service call). When that wasnt going to work, he got us in right away. Repairs were good and people there are thoroughly competent and ever so helpful! (Already have booked a service appointment for September when I get back from my trip.)
