Went for a celebratory birthday. Very unimpressed. Gave us 2 different menus so what I ordered they didnt have. Then they brought soup, appetizer and salad all at once. Had to send app and salad back. Wanyed 1000 Island dressing (no) so ordered blue cheese, and it turned out to be vinaigrette. Finally got main course and had it boxed up to take home because we were so disappointed. Never going back
This restaurant changed owner 4 months ago, but the service still horrible. Food is not that bad, but your food comes out cold. This time my Salmon was very hard and dry and cold. The meal come wit bread and butter and salad, we never have any. I have go to the bar to get more drinks because the waitress Rachel never came to check on us after dropped the food. But she make sure get her tiop closing the tab without asking. Still bad place to go to spend your money 😰
At first I was excited that they had reopened because my husband and I had a great time last time we were here. This time we went with our kids and we decided to eat out in the patio. 10 min past, no service, 30 min past so I had my son go up to the waitresses 3 times to ask for service and still nothing. 3 other groups arrived after us that got served first and I started to feel very uncomfortable. I come from a Hispanic background and so does my husband and I noticed that everyone beginning to get served first was from a Caucasian background. How do I explain prejudice to my kids? I felt so offended for me and my family. We got up and left. I had never felt so uncomfortable at a restaurant in my life. I had high expectations going there tonight but I left so disappointed and having to explain to my children how sometimes people judge you for the way you look. My husband ended up speaking to the manager on our way out and the manager did try to apologize with free drinks but that situation had ruined my whole night so we just left. My appetite was ruined, and more importantly my children who are all under the age of 11 had to witness all my of this prejudice feeling we had gotten. We were all in a great mood walking in, taking pictures, in our best outfits, and we walked out feeling belittled.
Extremely comfortable atmosphere due to circumstances we had arrived extremely late on our anniversary to find the kitchen had been closed however they were ever so kind as to make us one last meal of the night and gave us our anniversary dinner on the house. More than delicious and the staff was extremely kind the environment was spotlessly clean and the ambience was romantic . Thank you Vincent Hill for being so accommodating. You succeeded helping us turn what we thought would be a night we would not be able to celebrate, turn into a memorable amazing experience . Okay looking forward to seeing all of you again next year on our 15th anniversary.
They are requiring VAX passports, I will not be going there! To make people sit on the patio because they wont take a shot is ridiculous, the shot protects the person that got the shot, not the person next to him/her! Darn last time this happened it was a race issue not a medical status issue!
We were a party of 2 seated at a table of six while sitting at the table we were asked twice if we sat ourselves and were rushed off because there were expecting the bigger party all the while there were three smaller tables behind us they could of put together to accommodate the party coming in and us. Before our order was taken we suggested if theyd like us to move to a smalller table they said no. They highly recommend to RSVP but they never answer the phone have also tried using their online RSVP and no luck either. Food is good service sucks particularly one specific waitress didnt bother catching her name.
I celebrated my graduation yesterday in this great place. Well it was a astonishing evening and the place was definitely the reason for that happy meeting. The stuff contributed in a pleasant manner, the cuisine was appetizing and my friends were so joyful. We shall definitely come back again for more events. thanks very much.
This place is a good find. It looks like a hole in the wall but man is it worth the pop in. Can be a bit pricey but def worth the cost. the steak is so tender and juicy. i went on a cold rainy day and it was great being inside next to the fireplace. there was a live band with a bunch of people outside enjoying eachother and music. If your a meat lover this is a must
I’ve been here a few times over the years and each time was excellent! We had my moms retirement dinner here last night and I must mention I have a very large family. We had 1 server and she was so awesome! She kept on top of our drinks and served us all with a smile the whole time.I got the skinless king salmon and my husband got the black angus tri tip salad. We shared an order of fries. Everything from the bread to the salad to the salmon was delicious.I love the charm of this place. From the old trains that are behind the restaurant to the live bands they have playing. To me it’s kind of a romantic place to dine but it’s great for family groups as well.
Our families have been to many wonderful meals at Vincent Hill Saloon. But tonight my husband and I went there for an appetizer and a glass of wine for me and a cocktail for my husband the service was terrible, it’s not that they were busy just chatting with certain individuals. We arrived there around 7:30 I had to call the waitress to give her my order and ten minutes later I had to call her again to put in my husbands order, we had to get our own salt and pepper and our own Utensils Our waitress was Shannon #13.As I said before we always have Birthday’s graduation’s at Vincent Hill, we may have to find another venue for future get together and celebrations.
Food is great. Took a long lost Cousin for dinner and drinks on the outside patio. They had a jam session on a Sunday afternoon. We requested early when they first started playing that we be given Mike time to sing. Our service for drinks was fast and very good. Our food was amazing. We asked again for Mike time and was ignored. It is obvious that unless you tip or know the host for the jam, you dont get a chance to play or sing.I havent been back for the jam and dont plan on it. I would return for a meal on a different day.
This is our go to place for any special occasion and with good reason. From the intimate western train feel of the dining room to the top rate staff you cannot have a bad experience here. I can best describe Vincent Hill as a fine dining steak house. The wine list is very good and the staff highly knowledgeable. Its the kind of place you feel equally comfortable in blue jeans or a suit and tie. But the true star is the food. The menu is exquisite. Perfectly cooked glorious cuts of beef, spectacular swordfish, lamb, duck, and as far as I know the only place to get provincial style escargot in the AV. If you havent picked up on it I love this restaurant. Go, stop reading this, put down your phone, and go now. Youll be glad you did. (Oh, and ask for Renee, shes amazing!)
Nice ambience. Kind of rustic. Food was ok. Was there fir Sunday brunch. Went for the steak and eggs. Was cook as ordered. The only complaint was it tasted as if there was absolutely no seasoning on steak. Other than that, it would have been fine.Service was very good. And I would eat here again. Neat little place.
We ordered the duck which was dry, tasteless and rubbery. We also had the red snapper which was spoiled as it had a tangy aftertaste and my stomach started cramping and I got diarrhea shortly after leaving. Its a great place, good people, but the food your paying top dollar for was awful!!
The band in the patio was Exceptional. Sorry I didnt catch the country bands name but this group of fine looking gentlemen know how to belt out a great country song. We were there for Aprils birthday and had about 20 people and the staff was more than accommodating even though they all should have been home an hour earlier. I had the filet mignon with some carrot masterpiece side dish and baked potatoe. All the food was 5 star!! Best food I have had for a long time. The appearance and mood inside was very inviting!!! Loved the whole experience!!! I highly recommend this place for all your special parties!!!
We were seated without menus and waited 10 min before we saw anyone. Once we finally got them we werent thrilled with the selection--nothing personal- but when we told the hostess, we got an eye roll. We asked if $5 would cover our one cup of coffee and water and she said she didnt know. It was apparently a huge deal that we didnt want to stay. We finally left $7 on the table for a cup of coffee and showed the hostess and got up to leave. She proceeded to chase us to the door yelling that we needed to wait for our ticket. Her attitude made a simple non-confrontional choice an issue when she could have simply taken the payment and tip that we left and not made it a big deal. Please train your staff to have better manners and common sense.
Very intriguing historical location! Very cool, very chill indoor/outdoor restaurant. Big, covered patio for relaxed dining with a 2nd bar to the inside bar. Great band on the patio on Sunday afternoons. Cool, retired trains in back of restaurant... Peaceful, easy feeling!
Service was very good. Atmosphere ok, too hot/stuffy in dining area. Ordered rather pricey filet mignon that was just Ok, drowned in tasteless gravy. Friends enjoyed very good prime rib and salmon. Creme brulee dessert was ok but didnt make you want to lick the plate.
Food portions have gotten small and its pricey. Staff is friendly and food usually is pretty good. But there are times it seems rushed and not as good. It was better before. But they still have a good fillet mignon and Cajun chicken breast. Also enjoy their chicken piccata.
Made reservations here for Easter brunch. It was our first time here and it will not be our last. The food was fantastic and the service was superb! I had the eggs Vincent hill and it was great. Cant go wrong with the double chocolate cake either. Well worth it. Thank you
Used to meet family here for dinner about every 3 months. We decided to try brunch with family from out of state. What a rip off!! Wasnt even busy but our server was never around . Got charged 3xs for endless mimosas but only got served for one. They were out of everything on the brunch menu just limited lunch, over priced and not good at all. Ive called 4 times to speak to the manager but never got a call back. Needless to say we will never return here. This was our favorite family meeting place for dinner but were going somewhere were custom service matters. . Wish I could rate zero stars
They book great bands, love that they have dancing on the patio, but the brick on the dance floor has to go! Uncomfortable for us girls in heels an frankly dangerous. Ordered food for the first time during Halloween party with The Falco’s and was very disappointed, as were all the guests at my table. Go for the music not the food and wear sensible shoes!
Very disappointing! Service was okay, but they were short handed. We ordered a salad that was drenched in a overly vinegary vinaigrette. It was not edible. The chicken and pasta we ordered was overly salty and dry. When we mentioned it to the server, she apologized and moved on to her other tables .
Nice place. Friendly and attentive staff. I had the scallone (scallops & abalone) patties. They were ok. So soft that I wondered if they were cooked enough. My husband had the red snapper that came with mushrooms. Yum! Tasty! The sourdough bread was warm and dry and hard. Accompanying dinner salads with homemade dressings were generous and tasty.
We have spent very happy times here each visit. Always a fun atmosphere, Great ambience, helpful staff, fabulous food and great music. What more can I say! Highly recommend Vincent Hill for lunch, dinner, drinks and dancing! Missing it already and we will be back as soon as we can be!
Went for freinds birthday dinner ..party of 14, saturday night at 5pm. My first time here. Cozy and rustic feel. Were were able to fit a large party with a reservation. Would be great for a romantic dinner for two. Food was good..$$$. $25 per person. Kinda fancy choices, escargo, duck, filet mignon. Good drink choices. Later in the evening in the bar was a small music band.
I always enjoy coming here to dine. Food never disappoints and the staff is excellent. My only wish is that they segment out a quiet space to eat. Its nice that they have entertainment but its always loud and really takes away from the atmosphere of a comfortable nice place to dine.
My wife and I spent a couple of nights here after driving across the USA from New York. Met some real cowboys and great people..As a Londoner and Brit, it was a refreshing change to find a local that knows how to be a proper pub and watering hole. Plus the staff and food were first-rate! Well be back!!
Sad to say this is not going to be our go to place for special occasions any longer. A twenty minute wait before we are told that our waitress will be right with us is just not acceptable (no the place was not packed). On the bright side we discovered Ginos Italian Restaurant in Palmdale, great food and excellent service.
Stumbled in on a day driving to anywhere. Hiked at Vasquez rocks, drank at the aqua dulce winery. Didnt want to take the freeway home. Got off 14 at pearblossom hwy. Came upon this DREAM of the past restaurant and saloon. Just like the old days in san dimas!!!!!Clean, amazing smelling food.Maybe (just like the old westerns) city folk are frowned on. Not real friendly, but thats cool. If their from up here, they dont know that im a country southern cal girl, san dimas 1959, nothing but orchards and dirt roads. I hate it now. Loving the acton area so much, and this place is beautiful, steaks smell like dads in the back yard, and saloon is really nice with live music. I love this place!!!!!!!!!
Ordered the Cajun chicken sandwich, which was good. My cousin ordered a pulled pork sandwich and my brother ordered the Cajun Chicken Salad, wow that was huge and looked really good. Next time Ill be ordering the Cajun Chicken Salad. Overall the food and service was good.
The fireplace is blazing, the band is smoking hot (Runaway Train) and everyone is in a festive mood. The food is the best in the A.V. and only a short drive from S.C.V. Truly a rare combination of fine dining, live entertainment and super friendly staff and customers too. 5 stars!
Vincent Hill Station is a restaurant and bar last cated in Acton between the town of Acton and the city of Palmdale. The food is delicious. Cooked with a country flare, the pastas and meats are great for casual or romantic dining. The decor and exterior ate centered around an old West train station theme. There are old train photos and art inside and box cars outside of this hideaway. The left cation includes an indoor and a patio bar. Music events take place on the stage near the patio car. Call for further information on entertainment.

2022-01-07I came with a party for my best friends birthday. For its somewhat reserved size, the place was beautiful. They pride themselves on the rustic decor and atmosphere, and it works quite well. The waitstaff was very attentive. Always at our beck and call when we needed things with timely responses. The food was also delicious. While the menu to choose from is rather small, its quite diverse. Though, if youre a vegan or vegetarian, most of the menu will put you off, unfortunately. We came rather late, around 8pm, but the staff nonetheless were courteous and gentle and even brought over the birthday cake which was not prepared by them. We did end up staying a little past closing time, so we tipped them well to make up for our inconvenience, and even shared some of the cake (it was a relatively small but familial party). All in all, fantastic experience! Definitely a new favorite place.

2022-03-082022.03-06/SUN_1600: WOW. I REALLY LIKE THIS PLACE! The ambiance here is laid back. The station and restaurant is lovely. I dont have many interior photos of the lovely restaurant because I was out back enjoying the LIVE ENTERTAINMENT.Whatever band they had playing was super AWESOME! They even asked if we wanted to play or sing, too! Heck yeah! So the folks here were so laid back and just welcoming. It felt like being at your neighborhood bar at home. I loved it!I cant tell you how wonderful it was to be able to eat and listen to good music as well as hang out with friends and family. The staff is super nice and very attentive. It is a bit more upscale; however, you dont feel like youre in a fancy restaurant! The staff was very helpful even though we sat in the bar area! They would always stop by and made sure we were taken care of. It was cold outside but they had these wonderful portable heaters that did an excellent job keeping us warm! The food was delicous! We decided to have snacks instead of entrees. Our friends had a couple entrees that youll see. Wow, they had a lot of good appetizers to start with on the menu. They had Potato Skins, Wings, Mozzarella Sticks, Chicken Tenders, Soups, Shrimp Cocktail and even Escargot Provencale! There was a good amount to choose from but we chose the Potato Skins, Mozz Sticks and Chicken Wings. All was delicous! The sauce on the Chicken Wings were finger licking good - sweet and tangy! All were also served with dipping sauces. We heard they were known for their French Onion Soup and we wish we had gotten it! Our friends got that instead! Plus they serve you fresh baked bread and butter, too. We had so much fun enjoying the live entertainment and I wish I knew the name of the band because they ROCKED! They played everything from CCR to Bob Marley! They knew how to bring it!All in all, well be back!

2022-06-20Excellent, delicious rib eye steak dinner. Really good potato salad and coleslaw. The staff is very helpful and attentive. The whole place is very appealing, wood, inside and outside areas to dine, dance, live band, it was an excellent experience. A little pricey, but the steak was most excellent.

This is a family-friendly restaurant they have a full bar for those who drink. And again the staff was truly wonderful I highly recommend this as a date place of Family Dining or just if youre traveling and you want a good meal this is the place to start

2022-05-02First time customersWe had a party of 9,The shrimp cocktail had no flavor and the ribeye stake was tuff. But one of the main issues were the patio, we listened to a great band it was called Homeward Bound. We couldnt dance very well on the brick dance floor and the patio was not safe. the ground steps to go up to our table had no lights on them and the step up was not identified in any way. two of our party fell down ( and they didnt drink)To the manager: PLEASE put some ground lighting around the patio steps. ITS NOT SAFE.

2022-06-16Wonderful all the way .. dinner salad was plentiful n fresh n w a nice assortment of salad objects, not the usual soggy rusty three leaves... Main plate portions substantial, fresh, plated to desire and the service attentive .... A destination worth a special drive if not an area local....

2022-02-11Very nice place! I think its a little bit overpriced but its still worth going there. $30 for the garlic shrimp with potato. Great creme brulee and the waitress was the nicest ;).
