We moved to the Bay area a few months after we had gotten engaged and were looking for a jeweler to resize my engagement ring and create custom bands for us. My husband’s grandmother gave us her wedding band and that of her late husbands and said we could do whatever we wanted with them, she just wanted us to have them. So instead of keeping them in a drawer (they didn’t fit) we took them to a few different jewelers that were highly rated (on Google) to see if we could get them custom-tailored to us. The bands were both gold with channel-set diamonds, so every jeweler told us they would not be able to resize them to fit our fingers, so they would have to be melted down and the diamonds would have to be reset. Each ring had dozens of tiny little diamonds that didn’t hold a lot of value, but would be expensive to set each one so each quote we received from other jewelers was pretty obscenely high.Walking into Vardy’s was such a breath of fresh air! We spoke to Elena and she was so sweet and welcoming and listened to everything we wanted. Expense set aside, she even brought the jeweler out from the back of their shop, Misha, and talked with us on the possibilities of what we could do with these bands. We had so much fun going through the different possibilities and looking through their other custom work and found so many things we loved and pieces that were so unique. We ended up deciding to re-do my engagement band and make new wedding bands with Vardy’s.Misha was so quick to turn around the design concepts and create actual wax models I could try on and make sure they felt right. We made a few adjustments here and there and after about 3 wax models, we had him make the final pieces. We were absolutely speechless trying on our bands for the first time. The design was flawless, the execution was just more beautiful than we could have imagined. And we even had some diamonds left over! My husband had told me prior to this that he would only be wearing his gold band for special occasions and would be wearing a silicon ring on the daily, but his gold band is so comfortable he never takes it off! Thank you Vardy’s, you are a girl’s best friend’s friend and therefore my very, very best friend. Thank you for always being there for us! And thank you to everyone of the staff who always makes us feel so welcome when we come in!

Absolutely my favorite jewelry store in the Bay Area! The selection of jewelry is so beautiful, many designed by Vardy himself. They also create custom jewelry for you. I’ve had an old engagement ring made into a pendant and a custom designed baguette ring, which turned out gorgeous! I’ve purchased diamond earrings and a stunning Hearts on Fire ring. I’ve also had several rings resized for me. Elena is a fantastic salesperson and is very helpful in choosing the right jewelry. The sales staff is never pushy. If your looking for beautiful, high quality jewelry, this is the place.
Vardys is my go-to jewelry store and has been for years. This last time, Elana helped us find a lovely pair of diamond earrings and she was awesome. There is an old-school feel about this store due in part to the personal service but it goes beyond that - you get the sense that everyone who works here really cares. All in all a great experience - love this place!
2021 brought me a few victories and I decided to celebrate that by buying two more rings from Vardy’s .The first one it was in January and then recently I bought the second one.We have been customers at the store for at least 19 years.The quality of the jewelry is impressive. And the craftsmanship of the jewelers is really beautiful.Customer service is always friendly.My son got engaged two years ago and bought his engagement ring there as well.We will continue to be customers for quite a while.
I had Vardys custom make an Apple pendant for me and then found the shorter Hearts on Fire pendant at their holiday party recently for the perfect set! I love both of them.

Absolutely phenomenal experience, my fiancé and I were looking into purchasing an custom engagement ring. The entire Vardy’s Team was extremely patient throughout the entire design process and multiple iterations until we developed the final version. Misha led our design process and was extremely thoughtful & creative with his suggestions. They even provide a wax model to show you the exact design prior to crafting the final version which is SO helpful. We couldn’t be happier with how the ring turned out, it’s truly special and we had a wonderful experience overall! There’s no question we’ll be back for all our future jewelry needs!

I bought my wedding band from Vardy’s. The ring itself is excellent, and when I ordered it the store was about to undergo some remodeling that required them to close shop. Fanya called me during the remodeling and let me come over and pick up the ring, even though the store was closed and everyone was very busy working on the renovations (including her). I really appreciate Vardy’s being considerate of me and my time even when they had a lot of their own problems to worry about.
It is rare to find good, honest businesses. It is even more rare to find an establishment where the owner takes personal interest in every person who walks in. I wont bore anyone with my sublime experience with Vardy and his family oriented employees (especially Lee), but the watermelon tourmaline earrings I purchased for my wife were immediately bespoke, and she absolutely loves them. Vardy’s was recommended to me by multiple people through a facebook group.My fiance and I reached out to Vardy in hopes of creating a custom wedding band for him using his late father’s gold band. Vardy walked us through the process, realistic expectations, timeline, and design. We instantly trusted him with this project. That same week, the ring was ready for sizing. In about a month the ring was complete. When we saw it, our jaws dropped behind our masks. It was gorgeous. Beautifully designed, executed with precision, presented with care. Such an incredible customer experience! My boyfriend and I went into Vardys to really just see what a few different shapes look like on my hands and were absolutely blown away by not only the BEST diamonds I have ever seen in my life, but Vardy himself came out to discuss really all there is to know about purchasing fine jewlery. Vardy has been in the business for about 47 years, working from end to end, actually going to fine gem expos across the world, hand selecting every jewel himself (only the best), coming home to hand make every aspect of the jewerly and giving it a great home. He was not sales-y whatsoever and it felt like such an authentic and genuine experience. So incredibly impressed. I will never go anywhere else!!

Wonderful and talented staff. The family is so kind, my mom and I have been customers for years, I would not trust anyone else with my great aunts emerald or my grandmothers garnets. Misha and Vardy have made so many beautiful items and brought back the life to our family jewellery in the back workshop in the time I have known them.
I came to fix a necklace and they ended up fixing it without charging me because it was just a small issue, he even checked the gold for me to confirm the store I got it from did not scam me. The most perfessioal and nice staff ! Will come back

I will not let any other jeweler touch my family heirlooms. When my favorite grand mothers ring took a fall, they replaced the amithyst for a very reasonable price. They resized my fiancées grandmothers ring after another jeweler ripped her off and charged her for sizing and did nothing. When we wanted to get a wedding ring to match her grande mothers ring, we knew where to go and its stunning. They are always so nice to you when you come in. If they arent busy, repairs can be done while you wait. They can make you anything.

...even if you live out of state, over the phone, and dont buy anything. I found vardysjewelers and called them to see if they had a specific brand of diamonds in stock. A lady answered the phone and put me on hold for just 2 seconds until Vardy himself answered. He said he carries those diamonds, but didnt have exactly want I wanted. I told him that I was from Louisiana, and he actually offered to call the diamond company to help me locate a local vendor. He did not try to sell or pressure me to buy another diamond. He did not make me feel obligated. He helped me like I was a part of his own family. THANK YOU for everything Mr. Vardy! -M

The team at Vardys was very patient, personal, and helpful for someone like me who was unsure of exactly what I was looking for. I was suggested to browse Pinterest, Instagram, ask family and friends, and ask directly before ultimately being able to find the perfect ring. I had a bunch of questions which Tiana and the team were able to answer. They worked with me throughout the entire process of picking the ring and having it ready for the day of the proposal. The proposal was a success and we look to make a visit soon. Overall Vardys has been amazing to work with and I look forward to their continued services.

Elena helped me out with everything from scrambling to get my girlfriends ring size to the style and band that would work best. At the time of this review, Vardy’s customer review ratings on Google was 4.9 (out of 5) and Yelp was 5 (out of 5). Matter of fact, Vardy’s has held an average 4.9-star rating on Google over the last 8 years – quite an astonishing feat! These ratings speak to their genuine approach to treating their customers like family and wanting to build long-lasting relationships with them (myself included).I went to Vardy’s to get an engagement ring for my now fiancé (you will find many others came for the same reason). Fanya and her team are exceptional - they are quick to address any questions and provide insight to the copious variety of styles, materials, and gemstones from which to choose from. Every point of the ring-buying process felt educational and consultative. An important note is that the team at Vardy’s were never pushy, they encouraged you to think and consider the options presented.I was extremely satisfied with my purchase and experience. 2022-02-06Before you bring your jewelry here to be repaired, I strongly recommend you get another opinion first. I trusted this jewelry store as I had been there before and they had originally come highly recommended to me by many people. I no longer trust them. I am re-posting this review from Yelp.In January 2022, I went to Vardys with my daughter so she could purchase a pair of earrings. Fanya (one of the owners) inspected and cleaned the jewelry that I was wearing as a courtesy. Fanya told me that two of the three rings that I was wearing were in need of repair and that there was a danger that the diamond could fall out of one of the rings. She said that the third ring was fine. Then she took the rings to be cleaned. When she came back I said that I was surprised that those two rings needed to be repaired, as Vardys had recently repaired those two rings. Fanya checked their records and sure enough, the rings had been repaired in December 2018. When the rings came back from being cleaned, Fanya inspected them again. Surprisingly, the two rings that needed to be repaired were now fine. But, the third ring that they had not fixed in the past needed major structural work. These rings are family heirlooms and I agreed to get them repaired. After I left the store, I thought about the time frame and about what had happened. I took the other two rings to a local jeweler and asked him to look at them. He said that he could see that they had been repaired in the past and that the prongs were worn, but they were not in need of repair. I asked him if cleaning the rings would have made a difference in the analysis of whether they needed to be repaired. He replied that it would not. I went to pick up my ring today and the repairs were done. The ring was nicely cleaned, looked beautiful, and was resized. (I gave them one star because the repairs seem to be well done).I spoke to Fanya, told her my side of the story of what had happened, and asked for her side of the story. She told me that once they cleaned the rings she was able to see them much more clearly and was able to do a much more accurate analysis. When I told her that I had taken the other two rings to another jeweler for him to inspect them and that he said they were fine, she said that she was much more conservative and cautious than other places. You can be the judge.The irony is that I would have gone back to Vardys for years and would have purchased a lot more jewelry. I think they could have made a lot more money off of me.

2022-07-29I first met Vardy in 1995 when I was newly married and quite financially strapped. I asked him to size a sterling silver ring for me. He graciously sized my ring and did it free of charge. Then, I needed a diamond and sapphire custom bracelet to have a written appraisal. He did that free of charge as well.We had our 30 year long established family jeweler in San Francisco at the now non existent Gift Center. SO I was grateful to find and fall in love with Vardy’s compassionate heart right here in Cupertino.For many years I drove to SF to Ritz Jewelers to purchase more jewelry. When the Gift Center closed and Khoren opened his show room at the Embarcadero Center I went there. Then he moved out of the area.So now Vardy handles all of my jewelry needs. I AM a Shaman Medicine Woman Healer. I AM super particular about how things look and feel.Vardy has helped me use my jewelry by combining older pieces and creating new designs through his creativity and collaboration with my very particular mode of expression.He is a remarkably intuitive designer. Fabulous listener and communicator. He and Mischa both look into my soul and help me explain what I want. They GET ME”.
