What a great place for an above reasonable deal. Maryam is a top notch, full service knowledgeable & gorgeous representative to have the pleasure to work with when you need to rent a reliable cash pay only vehicle.
Im only giving them low marks because 3 months after I rented from them they automatically charged my card for a ticket that i paid for before i even returned the car. I provided proof, called to confirm and emailed again. Still havent gotten a response or my refund. The actual rental was okay.
The service was amazing, and the employees were friendly and interested in their customers needs. The prices were fair compared to the inflated costs of other companies. Being one to take many road trips, and use rentals as a way to save on insurance set mileage fees, this is a great option for me and many out there like me. Again, customer service cannot be stressed enough in this point and time, and i felt treated with respect as I was being talked with-- not talked.
Initially we would like to rent a car from them by inquiring via their Web-site but no response. Later we walked in and met Ali (owner) then found that their was hacked. Then, Ali gave us a fair rate for 2 days rental with 100 Miles/Day limited mileage, which is OK for travelling with LA only. Ali & his wife are quite helpful & friendly. Appreciate their Business.....
Amazing service and very friendly staff. They truly went the extra mile to ensure we get a vehicle and have a great experience. We are underage so this is the only place in LA that would rent to us and they made if seamless. Thank you value rental!
They charged me $400 for a week and 1/2 for a 2004 Toyota Corolla with the front bumper hanging off and the check engine light was on the entire time, the front desk lady told me not to worry about. She changed me $19.00 a day for rental plus $22.00 for insurance.Terrible service and all the cars our old as heck. They took the car from infront of my friends house and kept my $300.00 money order. Please dont do business with these people at all. They run a rental car junk yard
One of the worst experiences of my life. I had rented a couple of their cars for about a year. Because of extenuating circumstances, I had requested that Maryam, one of the owners come down and pick up the car when I was finished renting it.I live in Santa Monica and it was on the way back to their home. We had an appointment Monday at 6 p.m.6 p.m. came and went and I was waiting in the hot car. I called her and she told me she was going to be 30 minutes late. She could have let me know this instead of having me wait and not know what was going on... wasting my precious time. Very disrespectful.She came to pick up the car with her husband. She got in the car and I was talking to her and she slammed the door of the car that opened it and looked like she was going to physically attack me. I started to walk away from her because I didnt want an altercation. And I didnt want to be physically hit and have to sue her. She started calling me names and was screaming and yelling at me like a crazy person. Very unprofessional and very low class. I was in shock. I didnt stoop to her level and I just said, Have a nice night.I was in shock. Seriously. There is something wrong with this woman. There is a screw loose, No Holds Barred.Plus without communicating that she would charge me $100 to come down to Santa Monica, she handed me a bill that said $100 is what I owe her for her coming down to Santa Monica. Throughout the whole time I rented the cars, she kept adding little charges here and there that didnt seem right and were very questionable...She also has a homeless man that she freely admits that lives at her place of business and works for her. This is not allowable in a work business situation in a business neighborhood....I would say, stay away from this business. The woman is completely unstable.
I appreciate how helpful they where to me and my husband while other rental car companies werent. Our car broke down and no other company wanted to rent to us because we didnt have major credit card, They where very professional and gave us a econmical car for a great price!!! I will never go to anyone else but them.
I rented a car from them last week for an incredibly reasonable price, I couldnt believe how cheap it was and the car ran like brand-new. I recommend this dealership to anyone who wants great service, fair prices, and an honest answer from an outstanding mechanic.
The 5 stars on this agency seems fishy, havent seen 5 stars from every client ever on a place. The recepcionist Maryam is so irresponsable when I asked what time they open she said 9 or 9:30am depending what time I get here because I commute. What kind of answer is that... she was late when I pick up the car and returned it. The car I rented this friday the seatbelt light and engine light was on all the time, the honk didnt work the seatbeat in the back didnt work. Horrible! THIS IS A REAL REVIEW NOT LIKE THE REST!
This place is a cheaper alternative to enterprise thats just up the street. Its a family owned business and the owners are super hospitable. Mario helped me last time and he was so courteous and efficient. Definitely recommend this place.
They are Family owned & Operated. Always willing to work with you no matter the circumstances. You can purchase rentals also. Tell them what youre looking for & Theyll pretty much come up with it. In House Financing also. They have 2 Locations, Pasadena & LAX. So if its not local theyll probably have it in on Century. They even pick up.

Was rude and switch up her answers. Called at 1:10 and said they were closed then said they had no cars available when I asked what happened to being open till 5pm? Then rudely laughs. Very unprofessional. Would not be getting my business ever.

2017-10-29I left this review one year ago without any context. I rented from them for 3 months while I did a semester in Pasadena. Hands down the cheapest and easiest option at the time. I was under 25 so most other rental car places have fees. They were very happy to work with me on anything and very flexible.Since then I’ve rented with them twice more. They’re able to get quality cars at short notice and are absolutely hassle free. Not to mention still the cheapest option no question.I can’t reccomend them highly enough!

2016-09-29Very nice company and friendly family run business. My car needed repairs and I had to rent a vehicle. The hertz people next door were very expensive and way out of my budget. I saw Value Rental Car next door and decided to rent a Toyota Corolla from them for 2 weeks. I had no problems and the customer support from Maryam was amazing. Best of all I saved around $250 dollars. Thank you for everything !.

2018-12-03I should have known when they showed me their cars which were almost falling apart... and then when they did not fill out the contract and damage sheet properly.I rented a car for a month, and received an email a few days after returning the car about a scratch on the car. The damage sheet shows that there was already a scratch at this place which I told them but they just took the deposit from my credit card without mentioning anything about it. I then tried to involve my insurance company but Value never sent me the paperwork that I need to file a claim to my insurance.

2014-03-13Value Rent a Car has always been great to me. For $20 I always get a clean, functional car; cant argue with that price! I could spend $10 on day passes for the bus and train, or I could spend $20 and get a car. If you want to get a bigger car its still very reasonable too.The owners are cool people who will usually work with you. They dont try to take you for every penny you have or anything like that.Highly recommend this rental car agency. Professional and affordable.

2012-04-16I enjoy going here everytime I have my car in the shop. I highly recommend them. They know me by name and get me the cheapest prices in town. I even went ahead and purchased the rental car from them. They made sure to check the car and inspect the whole thing before they sold it to me. I still have the car and never has given me a problem. I will but my next car through them as well. Thank you guys for the wonderful service.
