I was the only person in line. After a minute one of the two employees scanning packages told me the other employee would help me and walked into the back. After about 2 more minutes a few other customers walked in and joined me. After a minute of waiting one asked what was going on. I said loudly that the employee was actively ignoring us. The employee only then wondered over to help. I had been standing right in front of him talking to my daughter for about 5 solid minutes without acknowledgment till I called him out to the other customers. How rude! Ill be mailing everything possible through UPS from now on.
The cashier, Linda, violated my privacy! She went through the items I was sending without my consent. She also humiliated me in front of everyone and tried to charge me for the package that she wrote on it was liquid when I explained it was powder product. She did not give me back the envelope when I told her she wrote liquid on it and that I would not pay for a package she ruined; instead, she opened the package grabbed the product across the counter to the other cashier to show her she was right. The product is powder, and my privacy has been violated.
I went to this PO a week ago for my passport. The sign they had regarding walk ins was very misleading. The two ladies working were very rude, unhelpful and had the worst customer service I have ever incountered. I wish I could have gotten their names. But they wouldnt even answer one question of mine. No wonder why people turn to other means and you have offices closing. Maybe if you train your employees on customer service you wont have such poor reviews.
Terrible customer service by the Latino employee (short old Latino lady) she probably thinks that by working for the USA post office she owns it. It’s the closest post office near me but will not go there. I go out of my way to use other offices around the area. She should be let go and the building and landscape of the building and parking needs some TLC!! Linda is wonderful with her customer service but will not use this location ever again. Absolutely disgusted by that short Mexican lady I didn’t even cared to get her name even though I should have.
What a disappointment! Thought Id use this office on my way to an appointmentIin Chula Visya.I thought the main office on 3rd was bad with rudeness. The only two ladies there were helping one man. They didnt seem to understand how to help him. Within the 15 minutes that I was there, in line, 2 people in front of me left and at least one behind me left. They were slower than any post office I have ever been in. The long wait with a bad back was so tiring and frustrating. After being there 15 minutes without the line moving, I spoke up and asked the two ladies if there was a third person who could help the 8 people who were in line. No answer as they tried to hurry to help this man. Once I spoke up, there seemed to be an energy of complaints from the frustrating customers in the still line. After 20 minutes the next person in line was called and I, too, left. I will never use a Chula Vista post office again! Rudness and incompetence in a government run office! Someone needs to wake up! I am happy that i have respect for my citys post office.I
This doesnt even deserve 1 star. I made a passport appt for 11am today, having arrived at the requested time of 10:45. Come 11:30, the representative deliberately took someone with an 11:15am appt before me despite me telling her I had an 11am appt and had been waiting for 45 minutes, and telling me to sit down and wait.People have other things to do! And how unbelievably rude.
Havent personally been into the place, but we got what we needed the same day and seems to be with friendly service. Passport photos are better quality than DMV ones in my opinion. Anyways, just FYI the parking lot is dangerous, there metal nail like obgect sticking up right where cars park... So if you ever see a car with flat tires... Thats why.
Theres plenty of services here that can be helpful to you.But just for advice to anyone reading this: this is not the main USPS for Chula Vista, hence why it is kinda small but still great to have as a postal office.Since I have ordered stuff internationally and I had to actually go to the 3rd Avenue one; just saying to anyone else that did an international order.Overall my experience coming here is positive and would come back here if I need something.
Worst customer service ever! As LINDA was preparing my mail out request I asked her a simple question and she chose to just look at me and ignore it... ok. And then when she handed my change back she literally tossed it on the counter instead of placing it on my extended hand.
I showed up 30 minutes early for my appointment to get a passport, and didnt even make it to the initial processing until 30 minutes AFTER my appointment time. Apparently the appointments are just a cover The staff were rude, especially Calvin. All told: 1 hr 45 minutes in inadequate air conditioning with an unhappy toddler. Ill find a different office next time.
I go there once or twice a month and the service is horrible, it seems theyre doing you a favor as if it was a free service; there is one young latina lady though that is very nice, however, she has not helped me directly, but I see how she really is service oriented to others that were fortunate enough...my luck =(...perhaps today I will get better luck and have her assist me.
I did not ask the name of that woman who was treating me but she is a despot and terrible person. Horrible customer service at this location. Very rude. I totally forgot to ask for her name. She doesn’t deserve to work in such an important place. Hopefully someone report her soon and get her out of there.Hopefully someone reports it and gets it out soon.
They were fatal to alone. One question they threw me from one office to another and at the end I lasted an hour wanting only information and they came out that they could no longer help me because they were already going to saw this is rude from the employees. I do not give any points to this office. Thank you for your bad attention.
Terrible service !! Mrs. Mely very rude of bad attitude !! More than 30 minutes but the service assist her voice and way to serve the public of that office is the worst! That office is saved just because it is very friendly and works quickly and explains without bad faces

2022-04-28I had my passport appointment here today and was expecting poor service based on the reviews I read. However, both ladies who were working were so nice! Plus, I was in and out within 15 minutes. Great experience!

2022-04-30Horrible service. There’s an old lady who was asking for my state ID and school ID. I barley turned 18 and I didn’t have neither, only old school IDs but that was not accepted, only recent ones and they wanted one of those! My sister was 19 when she took here’s out she didn’t need them!? This lady got an attitude with me and my mom had to go defend me and speak with her. We’ve taken out my passport twice and they need and ID? Isn’t a passport considered an ID! I had my birth certificate, social, old passport and they still need more proof!? I highly recommend going to another place.

2021-02-05I come here every time I have a package to deliver. Whether it’s a gift or someone purchasing my art it always gets to its destination on time and very well taken care of. The workers and always friendly and very helpful. There is someone to help you before you get to a teller in case you have any questions. They keep the line moving even when it is busy, the flow is always steady. Always a good experience.

2022-06-28Worst service. They make no exceptions for their regular customers, have no answers for lost packages. We lost it end of the story.Their slogan no keys no letters unless you give me 12 dollars for a set of keys.Main office has better customer service willingness.

2022-05-03This was the best post office once upon a time, never busy and always super helpful and lovely staff. Wow has that changed.. I was nothing but kind and all I got back was rudeness. Youd figure that with all the staff cuts theyd be grateful to have a job and treat the customers well.

2022-04-28One star — I’d give them zero if I could.Maybe this never happens and it only happened to me, but, employees were extremely rude — instead of walking me through the process of how to complete my mailing procedure, they were basically expecting me to know it all and even embarrassed me in front of all the customers; calling me out for not knowing how to fill out certain papers.

2021-08-06I dont often leave reviews, but this bad experience deserves this review.New business owner here. Was snake bit after USPS lost a $1700 camera lense even though I had insurance and tracking. Somehow this was my fault and no action was taken.2 years later I decide to give USPS another chance. I am a business owner and sell in multiple sites and platforms including Etsy. Etsy offers a discount in shipping and tracking and insurance.I dropped off three packages and all had prepaid postage labels. One package said, waiting to be dropped off at post office. This is peculiar because the other two had been scanned and delivered.1. I go to the post office to inquire- they send me to the main office.2- the main office cant help and give me a phone number.3- I call the number and am directed to filing a lost package online.4- the response is that I never dropped off the package even though I did.5- I call back and am given the lost package headquarters #6- cant find my package, but am reassured this happens often and they get recovered eventually7- file a claim with the insurance, but because it was never dropped off, even though it was never scanned and disappeared after leaving the package on the counter, insurance cannot be collected.8- I decide to cut my loses and never use USPS again.There is a reason that USPS cant turn a profit and relies on government funding. It runs about as well as the DMV or VA. I was pennywise and dollar foolish to use them and save two dollars than to use a private entity like fed ex. I now have a contract with FedEx and love them. I ended up overnighting a new product valued at $175 to the Etsy buyer not including the $45 extra in shipping . They thankfully left a good review despite the lost package. For mail being a federal offence if tampered with, I have to question the integrity and efficiency of the USPS. The workers are not very friendly and most offices are gross and unkept compared to UPS and FedEx. USPS gets government funding from our taxes and they still cant function properly. I will bend over backwards to avoid patronizing them. I have shared my experience and will continue to do so. Thanks USPS. Lesson learned.

2021-01-20Just terrible service and bad attitudes all around! That girl Abby or Addy is just plain awful. She started off on the wrong foot and ended with my attitude. Luckily because I am a nice person thats all she ended with. I am typically patient and understanding of government workers, but this lady was just gross. She made the interaction seem like it was my fault. Not sorry as I was told to do things a certain way by another USPS. I let her know that I was not the one she would be putting her frustrations towards. She also mentioned that the day was going to be long. Lady check your attitude and mail your nasty attitude somewhere or get a different job! Also you calling me an irate customer doesnt bother me your irate mood and attitude bug the hell out of me. Someone call the postmaster.
