The rudest experience ever. They don’t have any signs showing their closure for lunch time and my father was already in line but the lady at 12:30 on todays date 01/19/22 didn’t even wanna answer his question for him just tell him they’re closing. And when he tried to ask his question all she rudely Told him was to “Ask it fast”. Very unprofessional when the only time he has is noon to get our mail key. Just very unprofessional and rude.
Worst experience of my life. Tried to get a p.o.box. lady gave me a form after confirming a box was available. Filled out forms, stood in line another 10 minutes get different representative, who tells me my passport and my address on my d.l. need to be within 50 miles. Lady starts yelling, I told you that um no she didnt say that. She said I need two forms of ID. I assure you had she said that, I wouldnt have wasted my time. I didnt appreciate her getting all the 20 people in line to stare at me like Im the problem. Extremely rude
I don’t understand why this post office has such bad reviews because the post offices on Planz and Stockdale are terrible. This post office is a 10/10! The customer service is fantastic! They were so nice and helpful and treated everyone with respect. They are also fast and easy. My mom and I went there to do certified mail and we’re impressed with how helpful they were and kind about it. It’s also the cleanest and organized post office that I’ve ever been to in Bakersfield. Highly recommend and would go here again over the other ones.
I paid for USPS next day delivery. They delivered it to me the next day, instead of the person I was sending it to. Who does that? I spoke to the Supervisor, he refunded my money ,and then sent my envelope to the wrong post office. Now I know where the employees get it from. It’s been 5 days and my “next day delivery” has not been delivered yet. Horrible service. I’m pretty sure it’s lost and they don’t want to tell me.
USPS has come under fire and many blame problems on USPS workers. This Camino Media USPS location can get busy. However, once I realized that there are two or maybe three at most (on a good day!) workers staffing the location, I am always happy with the service I receive and appreciate the long hours and hard work they put in. In my experience they are always very very helpful.As an aside, understand that USPS was burdened to come up with over 5 billion dollars UP FRONT to pay for pensions not yet being paid out. This is the reason they are reported as losing money each year. They actually make money but cant cover this impossible demand. UPS, FEDEX, or any other PRIVATE mail carrier is NOT the answer.Support USPS and support USPS postal carriers!
Twice, Ive had failed delivery attempts at my residence. When I go to pick up the package at this station, they cant find the package and have to call the carrier to find out where it is, despite the carrier leaving a note saying the package is at the post office. Its annoying because they wont call on the spot. I have to wait for them to call me back when they find the package and make a return trip. I made the 2nd trip and they gave me my package. I went home, and discovered there should have been 2 packages. I went back to the post office the 3rd time. The clerk told me that was the only package. I insisted there were 2. He told me there werent, and he finally went in the back and found my other package. They dont seem to care very much about customer service at this particular office. I was polite the entire time, so there isnt even an excuse for their attitudes. I hope it gets better, because this is getting really old.
Never trust USPS or any of its employees! They claim your package was stolen or lost, but the employees steal your package! Dont trust me? You can look on google reviews and complaints against USPS or youtube and there are so many complaints. My package was stolen from a parcel locker when there was supposed to be a key in my mailbox, and the USPS employee that I approached in my neighborhood claims that my package has been stolen which is not true because I had other small boxes in my mailbox that arrived the same day. Now I know that USPS steals your mail from all these employees. These people have no integrity when they work their job. The USPS employee seemed to know where I live and she didnt know my name, she just automatically gave my new package that arrived today and assumed it was me and didnt ask for my name or address or anything. While there were a lot of other packages in the other parcel locker box for bigger delivers. But I am going to sue this company for this. Nobody trusts USPS anymore because of USPS employees stealing peoples packages. This is not fair and I swear to god, this is why humanity is going to end because of people like this making peoples lives miserable in your daily lives. Customers have every right to complain and have the advantage
The service quality and efficiency of this postal office is a pure example of bad management, inefficiency and lack of accountability of an Independent agency of the United States federal government. Unhopefully, is the one weve got and I dont think their service will improve anytime soon (theres no incentives for them to do that).I have had difficulties many times to even pick up my mail; nobody had a clue (including the Post Office Manager) where is my package. The answer was I have to talk to the mail agent to figure out where is your package. The central mail box on my street had been broken many times (even now is still waiting to be fixed) and the office has no idea when that will happen. To pick up the mail from the office its becoming a nightmare day by day.
Once again, my Fed Ex Smart Post was delivered to the wrong person. The last time it was Christmas gifts. This time it is summer clothes for my kids. I am calling and calling, but all the line does is ring with now answer. Its ridiculous. I took the package I received to the house it was supposed to be delivered to in the hopes that they would have my two packages. No such luck. This is why USPS is going out of business.
This particular postal office did not work for my needs, at all. Unfortunately, the office was closed except for the automated machine in the lobby. Which I tried to use to send parcels to Bellfast in Northern Ireland, but the machine did not have the necessary programming to complete the task of checking in my parcels to Nodthern Ireland. Also, I tried sending a letter to Western Australis, but, once again, I could not get the machine to accept this letter, so, unfortunately, I had to wait to send out the parcels today.My experience at this particular postal office was not a decent one. I will choose another postal office to do business with in the future.
Unfortunately this is the USPS office we have and have to use it even when we know what a bad service we get.I have had 3 problems in only 8 months.The guy who used to delivery in my area dropped the correspondence to the wrong boxes.I lost 3 items that cost me more than $175 DOLLAR and only in 2018..If I could, I would never use their service again but I have no choice.When I contacted the usps office for help they promised to do something about it but never did. Worse service ever seen.Someone should do something and put new personal .
I spent 15 minutes trying to report an open and empty mailbox bank but could never reach a human without a 40 minute wait. The introductory computer answering system is much too specific and takes much too much time to hear all the options and does not allow one to go back other than to the very beginning which is much too onerous to repeat.Very poor customer service / design !!
This office delivered a package at my moms address, then scanned it as undeliverable with no explanation. I went to the post office to find out where the package went and they could not tell me. I was told they would talk to the mailman who was supposed to deliver it and then they would call me back. Never did. Went back two days later, spoke to a different person and was told the same thing, but that they would have the manager call me back. Still no word. I am now on my way back home to North Dakota and I still have no idea where my package is. I have even spoken with the company who mailed the package to see if it had been returned and it hasnt. I just want my package!
The employees here are rude and condescending. They act as if you should know policies that are unique to this location. They act as if answering a question is doing me a favor. I have to use the post office for business on a regular basis. It took me a couple months to figure out how to handle my business and avoid the employees. This is clearly an issue. I mean look at all the reviews? 1.5/5 stars??? Whats it going to take to fix this??? And the couple of good reviews are all because the employee they dealt with happened to be in a good mood that day? Thats not okay.
I understand during this season usps is busy but I still believe in customer service. They have lost more than one of my packages, they have mailed wrong packages in my home which is scary because our privacy is expose since they just mail it to other people’s places. I mean I understand nobody’s perfect but at least fix your customer service. If USPS workers work hard also police, doctors, teachers and many more yet they still do their best to provide good customer service and also hear their customers opinions and actually do something about it. This is not the first time I have encountered rude customer service in this usps location. If I am nice to you and respect you at least have the decency to do that as well. That old lady have no shame whatsoever. If you have a bad day or hate your job just simply quit. I hope usps will at least do something about this matter. You lost packages, sent packages to wrong receipient, if someone want to cancel the package for safety you still deliver in either way and on top of that, horrible customer service...Except for 1 or two employees. Just be respectful and kind towards each other because karma is a b*tch. If you have a bad day at least don’t take it on others.
Everyone who works inside this post office is really friendly (albeit, somewhat slow) but the mail carriers that serve my neighborhood are completely incompetent. I have had packages marked as delivered but never actually put into my parcel box. Ive gotten completely random mail delivered to me (and my mail has ended up in equally random places). Ive have them put a vacation hold on my mail without my consent (good luck trying to figure out why youre not getting mail in that situation). Ive had packages out for delivery and no further status, not left a notice, not delivered, the tacking literally said status not updated and I had to track it down myself.My problems are not isolated, I have had problems getting my mail for about a year and I know that I have had more than one mail carrier so its not one bad employee causing my problems.Do you receive tax returns? I didnt thanks to my mail carrier. Do you receive medication through the mail? Id request UPS or FedEx (both have been great in my experience). Are you planning a wedding and need your RSVPs? You might have some unexpected guests. Do you have Amazon Prime 2-day shipping? Well, thatll be 1-week shipping now.If you value your mail at all then I seriously suggest you move outside the area that this post office serves.
This is the worst post office that I have ever dealt with. I mailed a package to a school on Feb. 17th via Priority 2-3 day service. They attempted delivery on the following Saturday and the school was closed so they updated the tracking information saying that it would be delivered the next business day. No problem. Except that it still wasnt delivered by THURSDAY of the following week. Since this office cant seem to answer their phone, I called the main USPS help line and had THEM reschedule the delivery for Feb. 26th. It is now March 1st and my package has still not been delivered and no one can seem to find it. I finally got a person from this office on the line yesterday when they told me the item appeared to be out with the carrier and they would verify that and call me back. They never called. This morning I tried again, some woman answered, kept cutting me off when I tried to explain why I called and put me on hold for over 5 minutes. Ive now tried calling back a half dozen times with no answer. Unbelievable. The Pony Express would have been faster.
Either I came on a good day or theyre trying to turn things around at this location, because I have nothing but good things to say about my visit. While I was addressing a package an employee approached me and told me shed help me after I was finished. I had quite a few packages to mail and my active toddler refused to let me hold him for long, but the woman didnt miss a beat and chatted and distracted him all while ringing up my packages with a smile on her face. First class customer service all the way.
USPS on Camino media is much better than many others. They have good parking space, normally very quick service, this is holiday season so might have some wait time. Lady at stamps section is always super fast and helpful. Most of the employees are good. There is scope for improvement but overall my experience was good with this USPS office.
Waited 40 minutes in line for a very very important missing package, only for the guy to tell me that it probably was sent back to the sender although USPS website says that they are holding packages for 30 days due to covid-19 and I was supposed to have received my mail just 2 days ago. Put in ZERO effort to look anything up in the system and then just sent me away. Come on man!
They have messed up my package delivery and hardly take any responsibility in tracking it down. They tell you that theyll look for it the next day, and whether they find the package or not, they will call you about it. They make no effort in doing so and dont even call you back. And when you go in the office in person telling them about the situation, they just tell you the same thing on the phone and make no progress. You have to visit them several times on a daily basis until theyre finally annoyed with you to do some work and make some effort to find your package.
This place is useless. Im a veteran. I have been trying to get my mail box keys changed for the last month. They never answer the phone. So I have to go there to find the status. They always tell me that they dont know when it will be changed because they dont handle the process. This is ridiculous. They rather blame someone else. There is zero efficiency and accountability. They really dont Care!!!! My tax dollars at work. Who is responsible for this place? If the postmaster is not capable of doing the job, perhaps appoint someone who could.
Went in this morning to mail out some packages and we were pleasantly surprised by the workers on duty. Both gentlemen at the counter were helpful and courteous. The line moved very fast. When we got to the front the guy even helped us get some smaller flat rate boxes for our items and saved us $10. We were very impressed.
This is the place that gives all other Post Offices a bad name. One time, the line was so long here that a kid walked in and asked where the driving instructor was. All jokes aside, the incredibly low rating this place has is well deserved. The long lines this place has is actually to keep you from interacting with the employees, all of whom are incompetent and outright caustic. Losing mail, switching packages, false deliveries, all of these are common at this location.
Recently moved to the area. It has taken over a month to try to receive our mailbox keys. They give you a number to call, but no one ever answers the phone. Ive called several days at several times and it just rings or is busy. Once I finally got through and addressed my concerns about our mailbox key that weve waited for over a month, they said that theres no listing for my address and would call me back. Never received a call back. Tired of getting no answers or information about our mailbox key. The most annoying part is that when I personally go to the facility I get a different status on our keys Itll be 2 weeks. We dont have a request order for that address. Youre the third house on the list. We still dont have the keys, itll be another 2 weeks because the person who makes the keys is on vacation and we alternate between 93311 & 93313 mailboxes. Its pathetic.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICES EVERRR!!! I normally go to the USPS off of Stockdale but because I moved I now use this one. They NEVER answer the phone!One time I called the office on Stockdale to ask them if there was anyone working at this office. Because no one was answering the phone all day!!When they do answer the phone they are so rude, short, and never call you back when they say they will.Today I called to ask about an order that was being delivered to my PO Box same day. I work the rest of the week and get off at 5pm and I work Mon- Saturday the following week so I really wanted to get my order. I was worried that because my PO box is small that I would get a slip and wouldnt be able to get my order for two weeks... Anyway.I call. They lady was short with me but nice enough to write down my tracking number and states she would call me back. 4:50 rolls around and still no call. So I drive there and make it by 4:58. I tried to get in line but one of the employees stood in front of me and demanded that I leave because its 5pm. I told her that I was in before 5 and tried to explain to her that I called in advance and just need to get my package. She cut me off and told me to come back tomorrow. I told her that I wasnt able to come in for two weeks due to work and just needed someone to get my package. She yelled your not going to get any service! That guy is our last customer! Then she proceeded to grab blue tape and run it across my path between me and the line so I couldnt cross it. I was in total shock and completely disgusted by her behavior! I asked to speak to the manager. She told me that no one was going to help me. And told me again to come back tomorrow.I refused to leave. Eventually the manager came out. I told her what happened and she went to find my package.I didnt NOT appreciate the way I was treated at this office! Not a single bad experience at the office on Stockdale. I will NOT return if possible. That lady was a total butthole. I hope they do more lay offs.
Worst post office ever. They never answer their phone when you try and call. The lines are always very long, even during slower hours/times of the year. I had a package stolen from my locker, and they were not helpful at all, even a bit rude when I expressed frustration that they knew packages were being stolen and have done nothing to remedy the problem or at least notify customers. Now it appears my mail was stolen out of my locked mailbox when I was on vacation. Of course the post office is not answering their phone so I cannot get an answer as to what is going on.
This place lives in its own reality. The employees arent helpful. I gave it two stars because it has got to be a bad place to work and Ive seen the employees put up with a lot (including me). About a week ago I got a call from the supervisor who asked me if the issue I had resolved itself, I told him no, and he said have a good day and that was the end of the conversation. I cant think of any reputable company in the world where that would be okay.
Every time I am forced to go to this location my very very low expectations are met. They are the most bitter people, never willing to help. All I needed was a pen and was given a shrug and a sorry. What kind of post office does not have a single pen? The only pleasant person was the nice older woman at the stamp desk. The other two men were both rude and condescending and made no effort to help their customers.
The absolute worst post office Ive ever been to. The people are extremely rude and slow, and always have bad attitude. I know it must be a pain in the ass for you guys to answer our neverending stupid questions, but that is your job; and you are paid with our money. Lines are out the door everyday, at least 5 screaming toddlers and 10 people who seem to have the plague (nonstop coughing and sneezing on everyone), so bring earplugs and a hazmat suit. Just horrible, so much that I will never come back to this location.....EVER.
I would give 0 stars if I could.Employees here suck. They talk in such condescending tones as if they actually went to college or found a cure for cancer. They think they’re doing you favors when they really should shut their mouths and do their work with smiles on their faces (especially the old lady at the standalone counter and the old guy with the short hair and glasses). The lines are long because the employees don’t know how to do their jobs and take their sweet time being rude to customers.I hate coming here and speaking to the employees, so I try to avoid them whenever I can. Sometimes I go as far as to drive to the Stockdale Highway location.Avoid this location, even if you have to drive to another city to get what you need.You can thank me later.
They never answer the phones and when they do its usually some rude person that doesnt want to try and help. My package was stolen from a parcel locker probably by the delivery person and no one at USPS wants to hear that. Ive tried local numbers and the 800 number. watch you stuff people.
Tracked my package and was out for delivery for a Friday....it is know Tuesday and still nothing!tracked my package and says left a note have been home since Friday awaiting my package and never a knock or a note in mailbox or door .... So I call and call...and nothing,literally 5 hours later of constantly calling...I get placed on hold,wait an additional 35 minutes and finally an answer,that was not delivered because of a wasp nest😳.... Is this a joke? Three days with no mail because of a wasp nest that is not even there smh really... We dont even have trees next to our mailbox..
I agree with another reviewer. Call during business hours and they have the phone automatically hang up after about 7 rings ( I tried 3 times).Package tracking shows carrier is skipping delivery by listing business closed rather than attempting delivery. So disappointed in this USPS branch office.
I went to this place two days in a row to get my package that was at their facility. Both times they told me they did not have the package. The office on Larson rd told me the package has to be there. I called the Larsen office to see if they could help me figure out what is going on. They were amazing they called camino media office to see what is going on. Not even two hours later I get a call from the camino media office saying they have my package and I can go get it. Why should someone have to go through so much hassle to get their package? I hope I never have to deal with those incompetent people again!
JUST WANTED MY PACKAGE.I was sitting down watching some Anime and waiting for my package to arrive. I ordered some really cool Anime figurines and some awesome doujins, but was unable to collect them. My friend comes over and tells me I had a parcel on my front door. It said they came 1 hour ago and missed me. I was near the door the whole time. Seemed pretty fishy, I decided to call the place. I called 9 times. 9 TIMES. Not a single person answered the phone and when I checked the time they closed they had 25 minutes left. Guess they just decided to wait it out. I have to wait another 2 days for my paid express delivery. No Anime figurines, No Hentai, just a man without his figurines and out of shows to watch.
Pretty much the worst customer service here ever. These people will complain at every request you make even though you are paying for a service. I dont know how they have a job , I heard a man at the counter tell someone to go to another post office because its too much work for him to have to do
They never answer the phone during business hours. Tracking info on packages will say out for delivery several times now and then wont get delivered by their drivers and then will show no update and they will have no info. Several times I needed the items I was waiting on they couldnt tell me why my item was delivered or where it was. As well they have horrible customer service.
This is the absolute WORST place to have to go. They held my package for 5 days without a notice and then when I finally tracked it down they couldnt find it. When I let the woman know that there was medicine in that package, she acted like she did not care and told me when she located the package she would call or they would redeliver it. I am furious with them right now and will be lodging a complaint with the USPS.
Nothing but incompetent employees and service at this location. Long lines rude employees and lost packages! The upper management needs to clean house and hire employees who actually want to work for the amount that they make per hour! Dont waste your time at this location its an absolute ircus!!
The lady at the front desk would even pick my calls for the first two tell and then when she finally picked up she was extremely rude. Then when I tried to spell out what my street name to her she cut of me off and in a demanding voice said just say it. Cant believe it honeslty
The united states postal service in Bakersfield has a serious proplem with mishandling are packages that we pay hard earned money with.. once again they divered my package to the wrong address that makes this a total of 5 times in the last 14 months ,, then when I call the camino media location the moron on the other end always says it was probably stolen , thats it,, end of help right there.. I truly hope they either find a solution or just go the hell out of business!
Very bad experience....the box mail r broken and i need go to picking up my mail and the person very rude he didnt give me all my mail just 4 letters gave me and i waiting my check and im pretty sure was there because pass too many days to go and pickup and just because i have different address in my id but he has the water bill with my new address and my name in his hands and told me if i want my mail i need change my addresss first.
Horrible service , first - they wont/dont answer the phone , second - I moved ,been to this post office three times .They gave me a key for one box ,while the delivery person is sticking my mail in another box . The postman says its their fault at the post office and I need to go back again to fix it , the post office says it his fault, delivering to the wrong box.......help !!!!!!!!

2022-06-02I came in 4 minutes before they closed. I needed to ship popcorn and mail to my aunt. The lady that was helping me said I needed to remove some labels off the box before I shipped out which I understand. Then she told me we don’t provide tape but we do sale it. Any other post office I have gone to has helped with sealing a box to customers when they need need it with no problem. This is the first time I have heard they don’t provide tape for customers but they do sale it. This is the worst experience I have had in any post office. I basically got kicked out. Representative frank said his boss Mary say they needed to close right at 5pm. Frank was shouting out across the building letting others know he was closing. There’s other ways you can approach customers in a politely way not by shouting out and especially if there boss wants to go home on time. They could have had more staff if they needed to go home. This is unacceptable and should be addressed. I am not asking for an apology or anything. Just fix it!

2022-08-13I went to check my mail box I found there one notice I missed my mail bcz I wasn’t available at home to sign but I was at home all day. It was my very very important letter from my business. No one ring or knock the door. This is not first time this happened before to.

2022-03-12I keep letting it slide every single time because eventually it gets resolved when I speak to a rep at the post office(on a week day!) but the mail carrier ALWAYS delivers my large packages into the parcel box but theres NEVER a key left!!! And its usually on a Saturday that this happens because by the time its delivered at 12pm and I get a notification that my package has been delivered Im calling the post office a million freakin times with no answer even though they close at 1pm. Its getting really annoying and frustrating because this literally happens ONCE A MONTH pretty much.

2018-01-23Although this location is often very busy, and therefore service can be slow, the employees are friendly and empathize with the patrons trying to mail and pick up packages. When busy, they often have someone out front to help visitors, answer questions, and direct traffic to better streamline service. In the front lobby they have mail it yourself machines, PO boxes, and a small shop providing a limited supply of stationery and other mail related items for sale. Try to get there early in the morning, or avoid going at peak hours(lunch or after work hours). Also try to have your packages ready and organized to expedite your experience.

2021-12-21Post Office opens at 9am, and I’ve been calling for an hour non stop already and still no one cares to pick up the phone! I paid for a new mailbox key on 12/11 and was told someone would come out and change the lock on my mailbox, and to this date 12/21 no one has came. They didn’t hesitate to cash my check immediately, yet I’m stuck waiting over a week now for my lock to be changed! I’m not sure how busy they must be? There must be a long line of people getting there locks changed during the busy Christmas season! If the locks aren’t changed by this coming weekend, I’m contacting the postmaster and demanding a $65 refund!! Horrible and Ridiculous

2021-12-02I have had multiple unfavorable dealings with this post office and their manager. Packages missing all the time and they tend to deliver them to the wrong address a lot. Most recent experience was a notice saying that my mailbox was full so they couldnt deliver my package. The package would not have ever fit into my mailbox in the 1st place so whether or not my mailbox was full (it was empty, by the way), they never even tried to deliver my package. 2021-09-20Night and day difference here. NOT like the 93309 office. Helpful, courteous, professional employees. A real pleasure to use such a polite and pleasant office. 9/20/21 Mailing International today. Postal folks were extremely helpful. Pinky was very patient while I filled out the forms and paid for the package. Love this post office. Always a pleasant experience.

2021-08-14THE worst post office in Bakersfield. The express mail drop off slot is locked for larger packages so you have no choice but to throw it in a large open bin. They also don’t have any signs to direct you to where you’re supposed to put the packages if the slots are not functioning properly so it’s a lot of time wasted especially if you prepay using the online service to save time. Instead of hanging appropriate signs- the woman behind the counter just shouts directions at you. Lovely.Customer service here is the worst compared to the really amazing people at the Stockdale location. I don’t think I’ll ever come back here again, I’d rather drive further and be treated with respect than come back here.

2022-02-21Changed my USPS lock without a notice/heads up. Nobody knows where the keys are and theyre unable to give us any. Thanks DeJoy for ruining the post office.
