The staffs tend to be rude and the vehicle wasnt clean and no one bothered to clean it when informed. I reached the location at 7:00 and they said they will charge me extra as the system will not allow them, there should be atleast grace period of 5 minutes considering there traffic in LA. I have rented here 2 times before and it was great but now it has deteoriated !
First time renting from uhaul. I came here and got yelled at for parking in the wrong spot. I couldn’t find the keys for the rental in the lock box and got yelled at for not being able to find the spot (he angrily said “ITS RIGHT HERE”). Once returning, I parked at the wrong lot and one of the workers yelled at me saying “WHY ARE YOU PARKING HERE AT THE LOT, PARK HERE.” Lots of yelling. Hectic. What’d I do to deserve this? How was I supposed to know where to go? What happened to customer service? Never using Uhaul again. This is just a careful note for first time renters. Beware this location.
This is the worst place to rent a truck or any equipment. After first it was horrible experience just to pick up the truck I reserved, a lot of questioning after being on queue for 30 minutes. When I returned the truck which I originally booked for 3 days and end up returning on the second day, I was charged the full 3 days. Same day at different location in Gardena I was charged appropriately. When I called their customer service to complain, he literally told me they have the right to charge me so. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION
1.5 HOUR LATE AND CHARGED A FULL 24HR. ARRIVED AT 6:20 TO FIND NO PLACE TO PARK THE TRAILER BECAUSE IT WAS TAKEN UP BY A 25FT TRUCK. MANAGER WAS NO HELP AS HE ENTERED THE COMPUTER THAT I RETURNED IT AT 1PM THE FOLLOWING DAY! INSTEAD OF THE PREVIOUS NIGHT. SO OF COURSE THE COMPUTER THINKS I HAD THE TRAILER FOR TWO DAYS!! LEARN HOW TO DO YOUR JOB BOZO AND TRY AND RETAIN YOUR LONG TERM CUSTOMERS. HIS RESPONSE WAS , I WILL MEET HALF WAY AND CHARGE YOU HALF...NEVER AGAIN....
Rating for moving supplies only. They sell most all essentials for packing and moving that they dont rent. Prices are OK but not discounted. They sometimes have free used boxes available, that tend towards being smaller boxes. New boxes in a variety of sizes that you can return for a refund if you do not use all of them. Can be very busy on weekends or at month end. Staff otherwise are helpful.
Don’t ever rent from this location. They stole a pouch of mine with 400+ worth of valuables in there. The best part is I saw my pouch in the truck when I did the Afterhours drop right after I locked up the uhaul and put the keys in the drop box. Got customer service to leave a note in my contract saying I’d left my pouch in truck and to set it aside. Instead they stole it and continue denying it. I showed up 8 minutes after they opened to retrieve it and it wasn’t there. And not only did I see the pouch in the truck so did my roommate. Instead they attempted heavy gaslighting techniques implicating I lost it somewhere else and there was no way it was ever in the truck. Don’t you ever take your business there they are thieves.
We went to this U-Haul location this past week because were moving, which is weird on its own due to the current pandemic. LA has a requirement that people wear masks as a precaution to prevent spreading the virus. When we went inside to get moving supplies one employee was barely wearing his mask properly, which Im not thrilled about, but Im not going to complain seeing it was more or less on right. When he asked us what we needed we told him we had a corporate certificate to cover supplies and he directed us to another employee.This employee, unlike his colleague, was wearing his mask around his chin, so I politely asked him to put his mask on. He pulled it up a bit more and told me it was ok because were 6ft apart, but the tone of this statement was clearly: Go screw yourself. Even after explaining that I have asthma and other autoimmune disorders he ignored me and made the situation as awkward as possible. As he tried to figure out what we were trying to pay with and how to enter it in the system he made a comment about how Art Center, the art school down the street, would handle it, which again was clearly a jab at us. I get students might not be the easiest to deal with at times, but you are near to major colleges (Caltech is down the street) cut the attitude. And to be clear we arent student, and we are relocating because of work, who was paying for the move... not that that really makes a difference.Its bad enough you have the attitude to make low blow attacks to random customers, but to not care about spreading a virus to people at work, even after they asked because of their health issues... Even when your work clearly expects you to wear a mask and maintain social distance seeing the floors have stickers and tape all over them, and other protocols visibly put into place to protect both the workers and the customers.This experience was rather annoying, and now I have to further worry about my health because of this employees refusal to do something as simple as wearing a mask. I dont expect anything from the employee, its clear that he will never wear a mask, and I really hope that doesnt catch up with him, but I do expect the management of this location to do something.
This place is truly lacking in professionalism and customer service skills. I rented their largest truck there recently and had no issues with the truck itself (besides it being rather beat up on the inside and having a broken gas gage) but each and every person I came into contact there did not seem to care or take their job seriously.The manager was decent but lacked personality. The guy who showed me the truck before I took it literally barely spoke loud enough for me to hear him. He went through the rundown of the damage and usage of the truck in a manner of seconds. The other kid on the lot (who was probably the nicest I came into contact with) was riding around me on his skateboard during his shift. The guy I returned the truck to immediately gave me attitude when I asked about putting in too much gas (my fault). He immediately responded with a snarky response about reading the contract I was given.Lastly, I thought I may have left my wallet in the truck after I returned it so I called the facility three times. Four times if you count the attempt from my boyfriend. This was all in a 24 hour period. I personally NEVER got a return call. My boyfriend ended up getting a call back but was given a response like they didnt even attempt to look for it. If the facility is understaffed, then fix the issue instead of treating your paying customer like garbage. I didnt pay 200+ dollars for a truck to be treated like a second rate customer afterwards.Shame on you U-Haul for not recognizing the urgency in losing your life belongings (drivers license, credit cards, insurance cards) during a move. I will never use or recommend your services ever again.
I was very disappointed with this store I call to ask about propane, she said yes with have some came to the store 2 min before 7:00 pm they said the system is already shut off to come back bad customer service, specially because I call and said I was on my way so just let me know that you guys shut off your system before closing 5 or 10 mins before and I would have not rush and try to make it before they close even if it was 2 mins before 7 pm
Was lied to. Period. I was told that a new policy was implemented a few weeks ago that wouldnt allow them to rent vehicles to people with out of state drivers licenses. Naturally that sounds ridiculous. Spoke to corporate and they confirmed this is not a policy they have. This location basically wasted my time for no reason, I ended up going to Mobile Motorsportsnearby and they got me a U haul on the spot. Id recommend Mobile Motorsports way before this location.
Ordered a closed trailer weeks ago. They called me the night before and said they didn’t have any trailers left in the district. They sent me to El Monte to get an open trailer. They wouldn’t give me any concession for my inconvenience and now we have to drive all the way to Washington with an open trailer. No customer service!
Uhaul is horrible they charged me more than double and couldnt even explain why. They charged me $25 cleaning fee even though I returned the damn track in cleaner condition than I received. They charged me for 18 blankets even though Ive got a dozen, they promised the manager will contact to explain charges nothing happened. Stay away!!!!!
I called them to schedule a hitch installation and specifically asked if they have a Curt hitch, which is recommended for my vehicle. They said yes, but when my wife took the van in, surprise! No Curt hitch, some other brand. No thanks. Please dont make things up on the phone to make a sale, and dont waste peoples time.
Everytime I have needed a moving truck U haul of Pasedena on Raymond St has come thru for me. They are the go to stop when you need to move and move fast. When others are closed they are open. When others dont have the truck you need they have a large inventory. When others are telling you NO they are trying their best to meet your needs. Oh ya I know something THEY WONT DO, they wont sell you something you dont need. Thanks guys see ya next month.

2022-02-02They were super friendly and provided clear info over the phone when I booked a same day rental. When I went in, they were professional and clear about the rental and it felt super efficient. Return was a bit confusing but directions on the website helped. Thanks for a great self moving experience!

2022-03-24The employees that received and give the equipment are rude and aggressive they dont have a customer service skills at all I will never come back to this place to the owner please get a better customer service employees because otherwise you are going to loose a lot of customers. (They almost damage my truck ) and they kick me out of the parking lot.

2021-08-05They are thieves. They told me that if you bring back the truck with more fuel (4/16 tank capacity) than it is at the time of the rental (3/6) we will give you $20 credit. I did but they broke their promise and denied it that this thing exists at all, although it is written in my contract.When called and complained they dropped the call for the first time then said it is not our problem you must call customer service! And that number is also not responding.

2021-10-29Insanely unorganized and unhelpful. Tried to pick up a truck using the 24/7 pick up option, but it was blocked by two other trucks. Asked a guy for help, and he told me I shouldnt have used that option, and I have to go to Customer Service.I was already more than halfway through the Online Check-in process, so that just confused everything. Definitely avoiding this one if I need a truck again.

2021-10-14Do not trust their reservation system. They completely ruin my moving plans and had to change all my plans. Not ideal when trying to move. Why hasn’t someone created an alternative solution to uhaul?

2018-02-10This place is legit. I had a second storage unit at a place up on Colorado and then it was hell one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had a storage unit. This place is the complete opposite they don’t value to give you space that you do it you need to do as long as you respect the rules they respect you. And the fact that you can have 24 hour access to things is amazing.

2021-04-22The worst possible customer service you can get!!I called them and scheduled a hitch installation. When I went on the day I had the reservation for, the lady at the counter told me my hitch wasnt there so sorry but you need to come back another day I asked why they didnt call me and she did not have an answer.Called after 3 weeks asking for an update on the parts, they told me your hitch is here I asked, why didnt you called me? they did not have an answer either.I scheduled again my appointment, they confirmed it for 8 am, I called the day before to be sure nothing had changed (didnt want to drive again for nothing) Jim, on the phone told me, your appointment is at 11 I asked Why did you send me a reservation email for an 8 am appointment then he did not have an answer.I finally got the hitch installed, next time I will pay more somewhere else instead of dealing with them.

2020-08-23Everything was pretty normal at the beginning. I reserved my truck ahead of time and it made pick up very streamlined so I would definitely recommend doing that. I returned my truck after hours and followed all the directions. I woke up the next morning to a call and voicemail that accused me of loosing the keys. The voicemail was very rude especially considering I put the keys exactly where they told me to. I had to wait an hour on hold just to tell them they were in the lockbox where I was supposed to put them. I honestly would not have minded the call if they were not so rude and accusatory. The customer service is definitely lacking at this location. Also note that there are a lot of hidden fees. We were charged for two rental periods for returning it after hours. I even asked if I would be charged more and they said no. Be prepared to spend more than you thought.
