Nicole is a very nice, professional lady at Toyota Carlasbad service center. This is not the first time I encounter with her. Very happy, cheering person. Love to go back to her again. I was given 1:30 hours for the car to be ready. It was done in 30 minutes. Thank you to everyone in Toyota Carlasbad Service Center.
Kim was a great service advisor. Took about 70 mins to get my 5K maintenance done. Space outdoors to wait. Free wifi, free coffee inside. Clean restrooms. Nice perk of a free car wash coupon at local Mobil. So happy to have a great service location nearby! Thanks, Kim & Toyota Carlsbad!
They installed four new tires and I had a wheel alignment. You would think, especially with COVID protocols, that the car would be returned to me without a mark.... check out my photos. Im high risk so my daughter dropped it off and picked it up.I said something to Toyota Carlsbad Service. The Customer Service department said they would give me a free ‘detailing’ minus the carpet. I show up at the location fir the detailing with my ‘coupon’ and they said it was for a car wash. The Customer Service contact would not return my calls or answer my messages yet the detail department called right after I did and some how got her on the line. It was the oldest bait and switch routine. Customer service department never contacted me or followed up.I have been buying a new Toyota every few years since 1982. So disappointed.
Staff was absolutely amazing - no fault there at all. Just know if you bring it in for anything it will take quite awhile … only bothered because it took 5 hours for an oil change and inspection. The prices quoted were fairly high. Plan to take it to a local shop for half the price …
I dropped my 2022 Prius prime for its 5000 mile complementary check up, the car has been great Im very happy with my purchase. We walked to the nearest restaurant when I got a call. They told me my tire was unrepairable due to a nail in the sidewall. Said my only option was to buy a new tire from them for $187. Lucky for me they sent me a picture of the nail clearly not in the sidewall. Obviously frustrated I told them just leave the nail in the tire and Ill drive home and plug it myself. Then they said oh its at an angle. WRONG again guys Ill send you pictures of me pulling it out. 500 miles later the tire is doing great and l found a new service department to take my car.
We had the most disappointing experience with this location. They told us we needed a new engine and it would be over $8000. They quoted my husband hundreds of dollars more than they quoted me the day before for the same thing! We were told different things by different people throughout the entire process and ended up spending over $500 for them to just tell us we needed a new engine. We then took it to our local auto repair shop and they said it just needed oil and its running just fine now! This place is awful, untrustworthy, and very disappointing. We will never bring our cars to them again and neither will our family. I highly recommend getting a second opinion if you have your car there for repairs, it can save you thousands of dollars!
A Hybrid alert appeared on my 2013 Prius out of the blue a couple weeks ago and it was pretty startling as it told me to pull over and not drive the car. I took it to a local mechanic a couple miles away in Encinitas. I had never been to this shop before but they had wonderful reviews of being honest on Yelp so I gave them a chance. They charged me $180 to diagnosis the car and once done, they said take it to the Toyota dealership because it was covered under warranty (clearly not their first rodeo). I guess I learned my lesson to always call the dealership to check prices because Toyota only charges $60 to diagnosis it and in fact the new inverter was covered under warranty. I had to wait a week for the part to come in but Warren did a wonderful job keeping me informed and getting me my car on time (1 week after drop off). You live and you learn, I suppose but I’m grateful Toyota Carlsbad came through in the end!
I would like to highlight the employee KEIF for being absolutely patient with me and understanding. This location never fails to disappoint with their customer service and return vehicles within a timely manner. Although I was lied to at the time of vehicle purchase, Keif did everything right with how he handled the overall situation. Thank you Keif and to this location. The sales department at the Dealership should be trained by this staff.
Took my car in for a recalled airbag. Overall the service was good, if a little slow when I first arrived. But they did provide a loaner and the staff was very friendly. Was a bit disappointed to find out they will not do a complimentary check light diagnosis, even though every other repair shop offers it.
Went to mossey toyota to fix a problem with my new rav 4 prime. They were awful. Told me to wait 6 months for a posdible new update. Went to Carlsbad and they solved the problem. I bought my toyota from carlsbad but live in PB where mossey is. I will make the drive to carlsbad from now on. 5 star*****

Above all, Antonia took the time to discuss some subtle details about the future of my vehicle and what I should be paying attention to. I’ve been bringing my car coming into this dealership since 2016, for tune ups, oil changes, wheel alignment and to fix some noise coming in from behind the dashboard.I’ve always receive excellent, professional service.Once again, I drove off the lot feeling like I was driving a brand new car. These people make more of an effort *not* to help a new Toyota owner who needs overdue services.After being pushed off in person at Toyota Carlsbad, I called another dealerships service department, got my answers, a service cost list and have set two tentative appointments with them so that I can commit in a few days and still get my preferred times.The jobs big enough that theyll be giving me a free rental car. Over $6,400 in work but still a great deal on my new-to-me car. All the Carlsbad guy could tell me was their pre-purchase inspection cost more than their competitors.Toyota Carlsbads parts and service department replied to me... Unless they have a time machine, how can they make good on something that theyve already done? Once the time machine thing is resolved, I might consider dealing with them again.Unfortunately, if a waiter puts water in a customers cup, people think thats worth a five-star review. Doing their job is not five stars automatically. Five stars is for service above and beyond the typical drivel. I can assure you that Toyota Carlsbad is not above and beyond... Histrionics by other reviewers only creates a false sense of expected reliability.
They left my car parked with the engine running for 2hrs! I paid online and was notified at 1:30pm that my vehicle was ready for pick up. I arrived after work around 3:45pm and my car was parked with the engine still running. All I received was an apology. Considering I spent almost $1k I would have thought an offer for a partial refund or discount on my next visit would have been nice. Wow Toyota Carlsbad!
I use the same person at Toyota Service Center, Yelena Vides and have for quite a while. With COVID concerns and due for a RAV4 checkup, the service was excellent. No inside contact, great communication from when she came to my car to notate the plan. Sent a call to let me know it would be there ready for pick up at a certain time so hubby brought me back! Yelena sent me a link so payment was immediate and contact free. I will ask for her again and again❣️ She even remembers my acting and my grandchildren which I told her about 3 years ago💟✝️💟
My Prius catalytic converter was stolen recently. I claimed the theft to my insurance company and quoted me $1,200 for the replacement. They wanted to replace the CAT with a generic one. I insisted that the car won’t pass the California smog test. The car was towed to Toyota of Carlsbad and had an estimate of around $4,000. Allan Marquez of Toyota of Carlsbad Service Center took care of the insurance claim. My co pay was $150. Allan informed me that it will take until 3/23 to get the CAT. He under promised but over delivered. I picked up my repaired car today 2/26. Go see him or Corinna if you are having any Toyota repairs.
Tried to schedule a recall repair. Customer service representitive was rude.Acted exasperated and inconvenienced when I tried to clarify points in the conversation. Did not accommodate my schedule. Recall specilalist quoted a 30 minute to 1 hr. Turn time. Toyota carlsbad quoted 5 hours. Not looking forward to this appointment. Live in Carlsbad and this is my third 4runner, but probably will try and go elsewhere for repairs.
Had my truck serviced here this last week. Fantastic service, Tom and the crew really kept me abreast on the updates with some engine work that needed some time, got a recall fulfilled as well as a 40k Tune-up. This whole experience fully restored my shaken trust in car manufacturer service departments, after a really rough shake down I got back when I lived in Virginia. Ill be doing all of my business at this location, if thats worth anything to mention. The price, for everything I had to get done, was very reasonable and a lot of it was covered under my warranty as well. They really took care of me here, I even got a car wash and my car cleaned out when I came for my vehicle. Going back next week to get my tires replaced, which also were quoted very affordable, from the rep that spoke with me while I was waiting.
I am impressed and amazed beyond what words can say. I was assisted by Noah Carroll and his quality of service was phenomenal. He called me to check about the pricing that I was originally quoted for ordering a spare key, a programming fee that was going to cost me more money. He made the effort to call and verify that I did not need to pay that much and was able to get the pricing reduced to a reasonable amount, saving me 300 dollars, I almost cried of relief. I also had dropped off my car earlier due to time constraints for the day my car was scheduled to be worked on. Noah was able to get my car done the same day before the original appointment date! I do not know how he did it, the key was scheduled to arrive on Friday and he got it all done on a Thursday. He had made my day, his professional and positive attitude about getting the service done before the set time was outstanding. Thank you Noah, you are an expert at providing customer service, I am grateful that you assisted me. You have made my day and helped me in so many ways that I cannot get into detail about. Noah Carroll, you rock! Whoever receives help from Noah is in great hands. Shout out to Toyota in Carlsbad, the whole team there have created the best experience I have ever had, beating Longo, Glendale(where the car was purchased -_-), Carson, and Puente Hills by far.
Extremely pleased for the work that Toyota Carlsbad performs. They stand behind their work. From time to time they recommend services that are not needed, but when discussing options, they walk back from them. I enjoy my service advisor and the efficient process to drop off and pick up the car.
Will the service writer is awesome and so is Ramon the technician. In fact, every individual I encountered from start to finish was extremely helpful, polite, etc. My car was serviced swiftly and everything that I set out to accomplish was completed in short order. In the interim, I relaxed in the luxury lounge and enjoyed the free Wi-Fi and delicious Starbucks coffee! I recommend Toyota Carlsbad parts and service department to anyone and everyone! Kevin Laird and Cody F. are just fantastic service professionals!
Incredible customer service, both times I have been to this location it is obvious that the technicians, inspectors, and all helpers love what they do and are happy to help. Taylor was acceptional in his knowledge of my vehicle and went above and beyond to ensure I inderstood what was being done to my truck, and how it was going to be fixed.
Purchased a 2019 Rav 4 XLE from Toyota Carlsbad in May 2021 and have taken it to Toyota Parts and Service twice. Each time, employees were always so friendly, clear/concise, and professional.Im floored by their professionalism and attention to detail. I cant begin to explain how happy I am switching from Ford to Toyota....best decision Ive made in my adult life.UPDATE : I went in for scheduled maintenance today (7/2/22) and Ken M. Went above and beyond for me! I am kitty sitting this 4th of July weekend and the elderly cat I watch needs medication at certain times of the day. Ken made it a point (regardless of their 240+ service appnts scheduled) to get me out in time to get to the kitty by 10am! OUTSTANDING customer service, give this man a raise and a promotion. He is the type of rep. that keeps businesses in business!
I came in for an oil change while away from home as the oil change indicator lights came on during my travels. Making an appointment online was very easy, but they neglect to tell you it will be a minimum of a 3 hour wait for this service.While I was waiting, someone from the service department came out to measure the tread on my tires. I was told I needed new tires, which I suspected but wasn’t ready to purchase. As the Buy 3 Get 1 for $1 promotion was still in effect, I decided to proceed, albeit grudgingly.I received a call from the service manager while the car was being worked on advising that the rear brake pads were down to 2mm and required replacing at a cost of $424 (including the rotors). I called my usual mechanic at home and was told the cost should be $260 — and that it was safe to drive the car back to do the repairs there.When I brought the vehicle to that mechanic, I was told the rear brake pads were actually at 4mm (including a photo to support that) and did not yet need to be replaced.I now, of course, question the “deal” I got on the tires, but at least I did know I was close to needing them.As I told the service manager, I know there is a shortage of new vehicle inventory but that does not excuse attempts to overcharge current owners for unnecessary work.
Always excellent and honest customer service at this location no matter who is assisting with my cars’ service. Taylor Ainsworth was especially helpful during my most recent service visit and even applied a few discounts that brought my bill down. I won’t even consider taking my car to a different location solely based on the exemplary customer service from trustworthy service advisors at the Carlsbad parts & service location.
I came for an airbag recall. Everything was well done and quicker. Only reason I didnt rate 5 stars is when I asked for the address for the service location from the service department and was given the address to the sales center which is about a mile away. I apologized to the service representative for being a few minutes late and he agreed it happens frequently. I feel that is something that could be easily remedied

From my initial contact with Hector in Parts, to returning the next day and dealing with Yelena in Service, to checking out with the cashiers; Toyota Carlsbad is the standard that other Toyota Parts and Service locations/dealers should learn from. The team here is like clockwork. My vehicle was ready and on-time as initially promised. No hard up-sells to other services you don’t need, just brought to your attention and again, everything from initial contact to pickup and checkout was smooth as butter.Compliments to everyone at Toyota Carlsbad, I hope other customers receive this high level of service regularly. Looking forward towards my next scheduled maintenance here.

Prompt receipt for service at scheduled time. Provided options during scheduled maintenance for waiting and provided updates during the process. Performed all maintenance and repairs as requested in a timely manner and returned my vehicle on time allowing me to make my subsequent appointments on time. Highly recommend for routine maintenance or specialized repair.
I had a great experience working with Dave at Toyota Carlsbad for my 40k service (2016 Tacoma). Top notch customer service, and all of the things I needed done were taken care of in a day as estimated. He even called with to reconfirm the estimate as well as provide info on a rebate and recall notice to consider. Will definitely be returning!
Great place as always. People are nice & they offered coffee & pastries. Only issue I have is for the recall issue they fixed it took some of my gas out & the light was on. It would be nice to offer a gas card, even for just $5.... they give you a car wash voucher so a gas card could be an option & a nice gesture - someone from Toyota please see this.
Left a fine coat of dust and grime all over the interior and exterior of the body and windows, rear view and side mirrors. Someone tried to wipe down the dirt on a window with a wet rag but didn’t dry it, making matters worse. Oily black smudges on driver’s side door fabric and trunk cover, which was put back the wrong way I spent a lot of time scrubbing and cleaning up. The car should not have been returned in that condition.On the positive side, the adviser was conscientious in keeping me posted. I appreciate his effort.
Unbelievably poor experience with Toyota Carlsbad.The lot attendant crashed my truck into a pole breaking my driver side mirror, denting and scratching the door panel as well. I could hear the guy at the kiosk talking to the attendant over the walkie-talkie saying to just bend the mirror back but it was beyond a band-aid fix. They pulled my truck down to the Service Writers office and as I walked over, the lot attendant jumped out of the truck without an apology or eye contact. Service Writer did not apologize either, but he promised to make it right. I understand accidents happen and my truck is a bit older, but an apology would have certainly been appreciated. I waited a week to see my truck again, took time off work and came out to look at the work they performed.Full disclosure, my Tacoma is 17 years old and the paint is a bit faded, but thats no excuse to not even ATTEMPT to match or blend the paint at all. My driver side mirror now vibrates constantly and the reflection makes it very distracting to drive. Never had that problem, and even the passenger mirror is perfectly still even in gale-force winds. So now, I have a bright red driver door (no paint matching attempt at all), a broken mirror that was half-assed in the replacement and on top of it all, theres small chunks of oil or something on the interior upholstery that spread and stain when I tried to clean them. I spent all weekend re-cleaning my truck and the Service MANAGER, Dave Marchienne (apologize if I spelled your name wrong, Dave) has essentially told me to deal with it. I took it back to have the General Manager, Ivan Mendelson, look over the truck and the completely sub-par effort put forth by his service staff. He agreed the work was poorly done and we would hold on to the truck, and call me on Monday to review a few different options to make me whole. I received a call from Dave Marchienne late Monday to say they had detailed, clay-barred, polished my entire truck. Heres the problem, that doesnt restore the paint back to original condition, and it certainly did not help blend the poor paintwork performed. Now, nearly a month later, my truck looks no better than it did before the detailing they did. Im pissed because my trucks panels used to match, and now they dont. My mirror never had problems, now it bounces and shakes, making the reflection incredibly distracting. They refuse to fix those problems they created. They didnt even offer to knock a few bucks off my service bill. What a joke. This place sucks, the service is awful and they are poor communicators.I requested a quote to repaint my entire truck so the panels all matched, Dave never got back to me. Ivan never got back to me. This place is a joke and I will be taking my truck to TOYOTA EL CAJON from now on, Im sure I will be treated much better there.I take a great deal of pride in have a well-serviced, clean, and all original vehicle. I thought taking it to a Toyota Certified Service Center would be the best way to go, but this whole experience has left an awful taste in my mouth.Also, many of the recommended services are just a cash-grab effort. I was told my battery failed the test. Thats funny, never had any trouble with it, but I know theres more than meets the eye with vehicle charging systems and electronics so I took my truck over to AutoZone and had the perform a free battery and alternator test. Guess what? Nothing wrong with my battery or alternator! Whew! Glad I saved that $200. Thats $200 of my hard-earned money that TC will never get.Wont ever return.
Always a pleasure at this location! From the moment you arrive to the moment you pick up. Travis initially helped me get all setup and even made great suggestions on what he feels would be best for my service. Adam called me sooner than expected to let me know my vehicle was ready, very sweet attention. Kenia received me with a very warm welcome and made great conversation! She was very kind and polite. Her attention and attitude went above and beyond.
Check engine light came on. Took it to Service center. Had a valve job done before at another Toyota dealership once before. It was expensive, but Ridgecrest tomb a lot less time and unlike other times at other service centers. Toyota would not provide for a rental while they serviced the car. Had to pay out of my own pocket.NEVER COMiNg BACK AGAIN! Going to another Toyota service center that I know works with their customers.
Pete was excellent. He was on top of everything and was very professional. I live in National City and I drove to Toyota Carlsbad because I was given an outrageous price ($800) for a simple battery cable that corroded. When I called I was transferred to a service person expert who told me the cost and labor. I walked out paying less than $100 and my pockets feel great. Great job to Pete and the rest of the Toyota team. Teamwork. This customer is happy.
I bring my car here for regular oil changes and safety inspections. Each time I receive friendly, clear service with options for what needs to be done next. MarleyIs an especially excellent service advisor who goes above and beyond in diagnosing and solving problems. I also appreciate the clear communication and that everyone, from the person who takes the keys to the cashier is friendly and efficient.
Toyota Service center is great. They don’t try to upsell on services you don’t need. The waiting area is comfortable (and free Starbucks coffee and hot chocolate!). They keep busy, so sometimes service can take awhile, but if you are able to carve out the extra time it is worth it.
This is my third service since I bough my car here.people are nice, and they have taken good care of my car. Trust in somebody to take care of your car is very important, because you are driving to work, and places day and night. just as you trust your doctors and surgeon who take care of your health.Thank you to Mr Kevin laird, he is very nice and keep me posted about my car status Cleary and honestly. We feel this is the Only place to service our Toyota Vehicles. We have been going here since 2002, we have the same advisor every visit. We are treated like valued customers and part of the Carlsbad family. We keep our cars forever and the service team keeps our cars in excellent shape.
I went in for a spare tire key that for some reason was not provided when I purchased my vehicle and it took over a month to get it. I was called by service writter to come get key in parts. I called again before I went there to make sure the key was there and they did not know what I was talking about. Seems that there is some miscommunication between service writter and parts. When I arrived again they didnt know anything about the key and said I may have to special order it. Oh my gosh after waiting a month for it I was a little frustrated. Finally I told him to talk to service writter provided a name and he was able to figure it out after waiting 30 minutes.
Very great experience as always! I have not gone anywhere else for my services since I moved to the area it has always been toyota Carlsbad! All staff are so welcoming and helpful! It is a bit of wait time around 2-3 hours to get your car so definitely plan ahead. However service is great and I always recommend everyone to come here!
Due to them not restarting their shuttle service to get a complimentary ride when dropping off my car for over a 4 hour regular maintenance service, I had to pay over $45 out of pocket for a Lyft ride on peak hours of poor Lyft availability only to be told by the driver that he gets calls weekly from the same Toyota service center to pick up and return customers at Toyotas cost. The service bill was for only $65 so imagine my dissatisfaction with this issues, I dont know why they didnt offer me the free Lyft ride after complaining about it. I guess being a loyal Toyota customer for over 30 years and owning over 4 Toyota cars isnt worthy. Terrible service.
Kevin with Toyota was very responsive and courteous of my time. He provided an honest evaluation of my car and was able to diagnose the problem quickly. He gave a few suggested repairs for the near future but did not push to have me decide immediately. I will be back for any future needs the car may have!

Very informative on what was needed for the 30,00 mile maintenance. .Explained what was involved with the Toyota Care Plus Maintenance Program. Which I decided to purchase.Contacted me when my car was ready and discussed that nothing was found needing further work. The procedure for online paying and letting them know when I would be there to get my car was very straight forward.
This was our first time choosing the dealer for our tires and, wow, customer service and great tires were great! I had a couple of helpful conversations before choosing the best tires that I love!! They really took personal time with their tire specialist even being tapped into for the best tires for our older truck. The appointment was efficient & the truck was finished earlier than expected with email& text completenotifications which is always appreciated-So psyched!
Superb service. As like many highly respected service shops, service agents approach you with empathy and respect, but only a few have a management team that supports them. Toyota Carlsbad went above and beyond to keep me as their customer by solving a tire quality issue I had (not their fault, tire brand related). I asked for a quote on some small things that needed fixing and was shocked at their prices! I wanted to get my brakes fixed but price was so high I called around and found a place that would do it for half the cost! 🤔 it should be more affordable!But glad I got my air bag done - but this is the second time, so hopefully that’s the last one.
Keif, met me in the morning with my paper work printed and ready to go. He reported there were no recalls and noticed my vehicle was current on all recommendations. For anyone who cares about keeping their vehicles maintained with TLC, Toyota Loving Care, then this business is for you! From the moment you arrive on site, you are greeted with smiles (and you can tell even under the masks) by several technicians. You are directed down the queue as they prepare to service your vehicle. In my experience after several visits, you usually communicate with the same individual so as to start a “friendly, familiar-face relationship! My contact has been Keif, who has bent over backward to make sure the car was serviced correctly. The waiting area and restrooms inside are serviced carefully and coffee and bottled water are available for those who have a longer wait. And of course, I love getting a chance for a free car wash coupon at checkout! Thank you Toyota Carlsbad for an excellent servicing experience!

Received call from Service writer recommended “hybrid battery fan cleaning” which is $300 and installation of a filter. I removed and cleaned the fan once before (in over 12 years of use) and knew it was not “filed with lint and hair”. Once home I removed the fan and found only extremely light dust, barely visible! No lint no hair. I assume because it was the 100k service the “tech” assumed the fan was dirty. $300 for a simply DIY is obscene. My wife wondered how many customers fell for this “fan scam” especially the seniors who don’t know anything about cars. To say I was disappointed is an understatement as the only way to check the fan for dirt is to remove it. And if the fan is “clogged” the diagnostic system alerts the driver with a battery overheat warning. So either the tech is lying or the service writer. Either way, I purchased and have serviced my Prius at Toyota Carlsbad since new in 2010. I have been a loyal customer and consistently happy with the service center. Most of the time the recommended services are or appear necessary. But this is the second time there was an attempt to perform additional pricy and unnecessary services, essentially pure profit for the service department and I have to call this out for what it is… a rip off. I truly wish I could believe a tech removed the back seat, rear cargo covers, battery cover and seat ducting to get to the fan and then stopped because it was dirty. YouTube shows this simple process and I would have faith in the dealership IF they said the fan is “usually” serviced (at 100k miles) and admit they never actually looked at the fan. $300 in labor charges for a 30 minute job is just plain theft. So please don’t “fall” for this service unless you regularly have animals (hair) and kids (lint, food particles, dirt) in your back seat. The air vent is easy to find low on the outer rear passenger seat. YouTube this service, it’s a snap and save yourself $300 in unnecessary costs. I will continue to service my Prius at Toyota Carlsbad but my “faith” or trust in the honesty of the tech and/or service writer is seriously damaged.
I have always received great service at Toyota Carlsbad. The process is smooth and efficient. Friends tell me not to go to the dealer to take my car for service but, I receive the best service and value. They discuss price and options with me and are never pushy. I feel like they want my business and want to keep me as a long term customer. I am treated like a valuable person and the focus is on the solution.
Ken was most helpful in checking out what I actually needed done on my car, which saved me time and money by not doing unnecessary work on my car. I was also given a bonus money off from a coupon good until end of Sept. Toyota of Carlsbad has always done quality work on my 2012 RAV4.
I had a flat tire and I spoke with Johnathon who was amazing and caring at helping me by the time of my appt he wouldnt be there but left me in the hands of Aubrey who was also kind and helpful since Im pregnant and had my 1 year old with me... Mitch did my tires and he explained to me all that was done and the PSI my tire needs to be at and put my donut spare tire back in the holding. Def would always come back if I get to deal with them and this kind of courtesy. Thanks guys.
The service department was fine. Courteous and timely. This was my first time here, and apparently they usually have a cafe thats open. It was shut down and there were no alternatives, not even a vending machine. There were a few snack bags available at the service counter, mostly gummy worms.
Teresa was very friendly and professional. Updating my information so it had my name on my vehicle instead of my husbands meant a lot to me considering I’ve been to this location for service before and no one bothered to update it. She was very prompt with letting me know any additional charges and any service recommendations.
I took my vehicle to Toyota Carlsbad to have it serviced. My service representative was Tyler, who was professional, courteous, and just a genuinely great guy. I was extremely impressed and credit Tyler for making my experience so wonderful. The service was completed faster than I expected, but more importantly my concerns were thoroughly addressed and they cared about the finished product and the fine details. I really couldn’t have asked for more, just outstanding.
The service is always great here. Everything was pretty straight forward today for my service. Great timely service. Got my car tuned for a long motor trip and had my key remote repaired, all done professionally and in record time. My tech advisor Kevin kept me posted during the work process and I was out the door 2 hours earlier than expected. Great service!!!
Was helped in a timely manner. The advisor Taylor was very helpful with what needed to be done right away and even pointed out a couple tires were not in good shape. This was essential since I am going on a road trip in a few weeks so I appreciated the attention to detail. Called me shortly to let me know the total price after the mechanics did a walk-around my car for any other potential fixes. Overall great service, even secured a rental for me for the day so I could go to work the next day. Appreciate the straight forwardness and friendly nature of the staff.

I came in to Toyota Carlsbad for a recall on an airbag. It was very busy even though I had an appointment but they where incredibly courteous and the best customer service I have ever experienced at a dealership. My service writer, James gave me an update and was very professional. The two women at the rental car desk we’re also excellent at customer service. I will be back!
This review is specifically about service advisor Tyler Walker.The short: 5 starsThe long: My Tacoma was having an intermittent problem that always seemed to disappear the second I pulled into a dealership. I took the truck to Toyota Escondido and they claimed they couldnt isolate the problem - basically blew me off. When I took it to Toyota Carlsbad, of course it quit making the noise as soon as it was in the shop. Instead of blowing me off, Tyler pulled a tech off the line and had him go for a drive with me until the truck started making the noise. He was able to isolate the problem and get it fixed. I feel like I got my truck back because Tyler went the extra mile to make sure I was happy. Even though I bought my truck at Toyota Escondido, I will be a customer of Toyota Carlsbad moving forward.
They have good customer service as far as being friendly. I am disappointed that even though my husband and I only bought our 2020 Rav4 from this specific dealership barely 3 1/2 months ago and the dash board is flickering and the car is showing maintenance needed, that we still HAVE to pay a car rental fee. That is absurd to me and I am very unhappy with that policy. If I could go back to Nissan, I would. At least they dont charge their loyal new customers for car rentals.
Took my new truck in for a routine 20k mile maintenance service. Over the course of a week later, I noticed it was leaking a lot of oil, so I took it back. I explained my situation and that it was not leaking oil until it was serviced; the manager and receptionist apologized and fixed it quickly. (A drain plug tightness issue). That same day, a few hours later, it was leaking again. I was pretty angry at this point, as I had a gut feeling it was the mechanics not doing their due diligence. I wasn’t going to take it out on the manager/receptionist as I knew it wasn’t their fault. Turns out it was pretty much the same issue of the mechanics not seating the gasket properly. The manager Mr. Guerrero took my vehicle back and made sure it was fixed properly, filled my vehicle with new oil and ensured there were no more leaks in a quick manner. He even offered to have a team come out and clean the oil stains in my garage, and gave me a card for a free detail. He was very professional and accommodating. I understand mistakes happen and experience levels of mechanics vary, but they need to do their due diligence, pay attention to detail, and do a thorough job right the first time no matter how many vehicles they need to get done per day. The little things matter. Someone that’s not as aware or familiar with vehicles could have had a major issue of a fire or engine seize if they didn’t catch something like that. I appreciate the management of Toyota for their customer service and professionalism with this matter. Thanks Toyota!
It Was time for maintenance on my vehicle and I was able to get an appointment set up for just 20 minutes after I called! They took my car back right away. The service manager Yelena is super helpful and very courteous. She answered all my questions. I was provided shuttle service back home and back. To top it off my kids and I were given fresh baked cookies when we were checking out!
Incredible experience, my service advisor was very communicative and clear and really made the whole experience pleasant and seamless. Best dealer experience, totally made by Corinna Hyatt....and of course the guys fixing the car but she kept me posted on their work really well.
Im very dissatisfied with the way I was treated. I took my toyota Rav4 to get a diagnosis. I was told it might be the thermostat or something else. They wanted to charge me close to $600 for something they werent sure could fix my car, I was willing to pay but then I was told that it could also be something else and I was going to have to pay more $$, they wouldnt guarantee it would just be one thing, it could be another thing wrong with my car. I felt completely taken advantage of. I ended up taking my car else where. I thought a professional mechanic with the proper tools could help and at least let me know what was wrong with my car, but apparently not. I was charged for a diagnostic that they werent sure would fix my car. I know they treated me this way because Im a woman, the stereotypical scenario happened at Toyota.I was able to find a mechanic that was able to help me find the problem with my car, he didnt have a diagnostic machine and he was able to fix it. The part that fixed my car was only $10!! I thought taking my car to the dealership would be better, apparently not.
Abel has great customer service and experience with clients. Abel called me and provide me with clear expectations on when my vehicle would be ready. He offered suggestions and ideas on my current car and next Toyota vehicle. Great recommendations Abel. It shows you have tremendous experience and your skillset brings customer back to Toyota. Got a check engine light while on vacation at Carlsbad, so stopped by the parts to see if it was an issue with oil. It was Saturday after 5 so too late for an oil change, but they called a nearby Jiffy Lube and printed coupons for me. After changing oil, the check engine indicator went away. Many thanks for being so helpful even though I was a passer-by.

I usually deal with Allen Marquez who is always very helpful with my needs. Kevin took care of me this morning and he is as friendly, courteous and reliable as Allen.One thing I found out this morning as I was waiting in the customer lounge area, I realized I left some money tucked in on my passenger front seat. I decided to wait till I get my car back to observe and lo and behold everything is still there untouched and all intact!I was pretty much impressed with the honesty exhibited by the service personnel. It wasnt a lot of money ( less than $100 ), nevertheless they prove that honesty is still the best policy.Kudos to all the staff at Carlsbad Toyota!TonyPS: Things have greatly changed with the whole ambience at Carlsbad Toyota Service. A few years ago, I did put in some feedback on how to better the service from the lounge waiting room to personalized customer needs , etc that I have seen somewhere else. Service was excellent, I was out in less than 2 hours, the price was reasonable, and the people are always so kind, helpful, and friendly. (Like always!)I needed to have my car ready to be picked up by noon today, and Jennifer in Service was able to have it ready by 11:00, and even had it washed for me. I was delighted! The shuttle driver, the greeter, the cashier, everyone was smiling and friendly. Its always a great experience here.Visit on July 20:My battery finally was giving out. I wanted Toyota to make sure there wasn’t an electrical problem too. They replaced the battery for a very reasonable price and didn’t charge extra for checking the electrical. Like last time, I was able to wait for the work to be done since it took less than two hours. Jennifer in service is excellent, efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly. Everyone I dealt with was courteous, I would never go anywhere else!
Made an appointment for service same day. I was told the total time would be about 3 hours due to sanitizing before and after service. Everyone was masked, pleasant, and professional. Car was ready sooner than expected. Checking out at the cashier station and getting my car took about 5 minutes. This was my first time here, but it wont be my last!
Came in for our 10k mile service. Oil and tire rotation. Verified 3 times with them that they were rotation the tires. Even verified with the service advisor at completion. I marked the tires when I got here and they were not rotated as they said they did. Now Im waiting again for them to take it back and complete what they said they did. Going on 2 hours now waiting for an oil change and hopefully a tire rotation. Why should I trust them when the simple things are not completed honestly.
Toyota Carlsbad is both friendly and professional. My service advisor, Codey, answered all my questions, provided specialist referrals, and promptly updated me upon completion. His attentiveness and this quality of customer service is almost non-existent in todays companies. Codey and the staff went above and beyond ensure my vehicle was serviced to my satisfaction.
This was my first time having to come in for a repair, they had the best customer service ever. I only had a 95,000 inspection and it took more than three hours! I was confident that they would be done after three hours which was the estimate but it took longer. Ken Said that it’s because they are a large service group so there’s a lot of people but I don’t think that was a good excuse.
My truck was in the shop for nearly two weeks between waiting for an insurance quote and ordering the parts. Corinna at Toyota Carlsbad communicated with my insurance directly and kept me updated every step of the way. I was never left wondering what was going on, and I didn’t have to take time out of my day to call back and forth between the service center and my insurance.I was able to bring my rental from enterprise straight to the service center to pick up my truck, which was a huge stress relief for me, considering I had my two young kids in tow and switching car seats back and forth between vehicles can be a major hassle. All I had to do was arrive and give the keys to the rental center there. That in itself gets 5 stars from me as a parent.And to put the icing on the cake, Toyota had cleaned my truck exterior and interior while it was in the shop. It was so nice to pick up my freshly washed and fixed vehicle. Experiences like this keep me coming back to Toyota Carlsbad for all my vehicle needs. Thanks so much to the entire team there!

Made me more comfortable with being there which added to quality of service. Service advisor, Noah took time with me to review service history as I typically go to another location. Much appreciated from start to finish.
First time at Toyota service center and the experience was top-notch. I went online Wednesday to make an appointment and got an appointment two days later for Friday. I was even running a little late and they were able to change my appointment to just 20 minutes later. The whole experience was quick. I received a phone call the same day on the status of my vehicle. I was given a list of recommendations and will use those to budget for later repairs. I was even sent a text message so I could pay before I picked up and went to express pick up and everything was done in less than 10 minutes. Would highly recommend. Glad to be part of the Toyota family now .
After my less than stellar experience this summer, I felt compelled to comment on my service today. I appreciate my new service person, Shawn who was terrific! I wasnt pleased with my last experience (which I also reviewed.) Im glad to know that my previous representative is no longer employed with Toyota Carlsbad - at least not there and hopefully not with Toyota in any capacity). The last time I was in for service, I wasnt pleased at all - from checking in my car to talking to my service manager - I wasnt happy. You have to understand something - I love my car. I really do - I constantly tell people to buy a Toyota product. After the experience before this one, I was so disappointed. Seriously. However, you guys brought it back today! Thank you! From the check-in, to my new service manager (Shawn) and then to my cashier Rosa, I was very happy. Thank you for turning it all around.
Service was quick and to the point. Everyone was friendly. Corinna kept me informed and gave me accurate times, she made the experience feel like Im not just another customer and that they too share concern for my vehicle as if it was one of there own. It was a great experience.
Took Rav4 2015 for 10am appt for oil change, was informed by service adviser it wilk cost $91 with 3 to 4 hours wait and no shuttle service. After i ask why it cost so much higher than previous service which cost approx. $70, he offroad to look into it. Luckily he came back with three cost of $75. I think the guys is trying to take advantage of un informed consumer. This is not right! Also why does it takes over 3 hours to do oil change especially with appointment setup a week in advance?
The service here is generally quick. I get my oil changed at this location and they are always right on schedule, if not faster, than the allotted time they give you. They staff has always been friendly and professional. The facility is always clean and well stocked with refreshments. Especially in these times, with the current pandemic running its course, the staff runs a tight ship with keeping everything wiped down regularly and offering as much accommodation as possible.Unfortunately, during my most recent visit, they didnt have food or refreshments available— not a complaint by any means, just an observation, as it is quite understandable when considering the times we are in. I liked that they took every precaution one could think of, all the way down to freshly wiping down your interior and key-fob with disinfectant before handing your vehicle over to you.Over all top notch service and customer consideration, quick service, and friendly staffing.

Very very not proffesional work, they truly dont car about your vehicle here. took my car today to get some issues done with my new car i just bought and when i get it back i found out some damage was done to the car. Try to talk to someone about it but of course it was closing time so nothing was done or was able to talk to the service advisor about it. I schould of taken the car to another dealer to fix the issue maybe it would off been in better hands.
Took my car here for a recall repair. Went in knowing my battery was acting up and one or more of my tires were low. The supposed 4 he repair only took 2.5 hours and without me even asking they filled my tires up and checked the battery to let me know it was indeed performing poorly. I left happy with less stuff I had to do myself, all free of charge.
Having a Toyota car and Toyota Carlsbad service is one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life👍 Having said that, I hate to take off one star due their coffee service lady..i ask for coffee, she gave us 1 cup and turned her back, i asked for cream and sugar she gave me 1 of each, turn her back, asked if I can have 4 cream and extra sugar, she gave me her unhappy face and turn her back, i asked for napkin, she gave me only one I ask if i can have 3 napkins, she replied “but you only have 1 cup” 🥴🤦♀️So maybe Toyota Carlsbad, don’t offer free coffee and pastry and have someone man it like it’s their own bank account!Kudus to Mitch, our repair adviser, he’s one reason I’ll keep Toyota Carlsbad service as my car repair to go to! I’ll just bring my own coffee next time.
Everyone here is super friendly. Came in for a detail and WOW did they do an amazing job!!!! Left my car super clean!!!! Super exited to cruise the streets in a clean car. Noah my advisor was super friendly and an awesome guy!!!! Once it was finished he walked me to the cashiers where I met with the one and only Rosy!! She was super friendly and called my car down for me and as soon as I walked out the door my newly detailed car was waiting for me outside!!! This place is amazing!!!!
My service manager was MIA for my service. When I came to bring my car to my appointment, she was nowhere around and I was stuck waiting outside feeding my crying infant until someone told me where to wait for her in her empty office. Then after she finally came, I didn’t receive paperwork when I arrived in the waiting area. At the end of my service, I wasn’t greeted by my service agent- I was told via text that my car was ready, and it came as quite the shock when I got my bill at the cashiers office at the end- much higher than expected. I honestly had no idea at checkout how well my car was performing, and I was left to figure out diagnostic charts on my own. I normally have great experiences at this location but today had me questioning if I want to come back here.Edit: turns out my service agent left me a voicemail. It’s a day and a half later and I’m only now just getting it...
My husband and I stopped in to Toyota Carlsbad to look at a Camry that we were interested in. We were immediately welcomed by Cesar Roman who welcomed us and answered all our questions. He was pleasant, knowledgeable and overall a pleasure to do business with. He made the whole process easy and we left with a new car. They gave us a fair price for our trade in as well. We will be sure to return when we are ready for a new car again.
Excellent Service as Usual!! It was quick too. I came 30 minutes ahead of my appointment but, they took me right away. Pete Bennett my service adviser was friendly and informative. When my service was completed, he advised me to future recommendations for my vehicle and other services coming up that would need attention I noted those issues and marked them on my calendar. As usual Great quality work.
Showed up for my appointment a few minutes early. I was seen immediately by a service writer. I then waited in the lounge where I was offered a snack and drinks.When the service was completed, the service writer came into the lounge and showed me what they had done and gave me precise measurements of my tire tread and brake caliper thickness.All of the Toyota of Carlsbad employees were polite and greeted me. It was the same feeling as being a guest in a nice hotel.
They estimated the needed time of repair and got it done right on time. 40 point inspection made me knowledgeable of things I need to replace that I don’t check often. Engine air filter was dirty....I forgot about that! I haven’t changed that 70,000 miles ago. I noticed my starter taking a little longer and my electric windows slowing down. Their checks ensured me it’s time to replace my battery because it didn’t pass their load test.
Busy Saturday morning and every single Toyota employee I spoke with had a smile and were so nice. From the person who checked me in, to the cashier, to the guys at the check out and the guy that brought my car around every single one was awesome! My car was ready in no time and I am so happy with the service. Great Saturday morning crew!

Staff was friendly however the service took an unfortunately long time. I came in for an oil change and was estimated a 3 hour wait time. It was a walk in so I understand it takes a little longer, however, when I compare it to the Escondido Toyota I usually go to, they always had me out 1 1/2 hours tops. This location ended up to be closer to 4 hours. If it’s always like this, I’d rather take the longer drive to get to Escondido to get it done quicker. Other than that I appreciated the friendly staff.
Great facility. The kids room is the best--its the reason I come here for service. Complimentary Starbucks hot cocoa is nice, too. However, they are VERY busy. A little too busy, in my humble opinion. It took almost 30 minutes before I was even checked in for my appointment, and similarly, the service took long, too. A basic oil change and tire rotation took 3 hours, from the time I got there to the time I drove away. I still like them, and the customer service is very nice, but every time my car is due for service, I always think twice about going to a quicker, less expensive shop. One of these days I probably will.
I’ve had an on going issue with my new car and every time I bring it in I have a guy explain to me there’s nothing wrong and not listen to me. I’m a younger female, and finally I had Nicole as my service Rep. and she went above and beyond to listen and figure out what’s going on and was the nicest person. I finally felt heard!!!! I still love Toyota and my car, and would def recommend them!!
I made an appointment and had my car towed there. But several hours later I called and they had not done anything to my car because they said the tow truck guy did not leave owner information. I think they should have been able to figure out that since I had an appt and called about my car being towed there that it was my car, or at least give me a phone call.
I came in for my regular oil change. Made an appointment online and when I got there they could not find my appointment. I told them that I was going to leave my car anyway. So all was good. Great customer service. Relaxing atmosphere in the waiting area. Took the shuttle to work and the driver was very accommodating and friendly. The service manager was great to give me advice for what my car needed in terms of service and maintenance. I liked that he was not pushy and gave me the option to choose what and when to perform the services. Picked up my car near closing time. The check out was quick and easy too. This was for my 25K mile service. My Service Advisor was Jeffrey Glover. He was very nice and personable. He let me know that Toyota would match Discount Tires in price, which I did not know. I came early for my appointment, as I got off earlier than I thought from work. They were fine with that, I got right in, and I was out of there in no time. The Service Waiting room is great! Coffee and more than anyone could want, while waiting. It is very clean, love looking at the new models and checking out was a breeze. Thank you, Toyota Carlsbad Service Department ! 2022-03-04After some negative experiences at two other Toyota dealers, I found this service department and I cannot say enough about them! My first visit was to fix a 2018 4Runner for some rodent damage (Escondido gave a ~3K quote on). Toyota Carlsbad service (Warren) worked directly with AAA to make sure everything was repaired and paid for by insurance, they also put measures in to make sure the issue did not happen again. The next truck I brought in was a 2022 TRD Offroad Premium to have blackout emblems and rock rails put on. Once again, they quoted me lower than other dealers, the customer service with Corey was spectacular, and now I only trust them to work on my vehicle. Absolutely 5-star customer service!

2022-01-15I worked with Tanner Pierson at the Carlsbad Service Center! He was awesome! He got my car in and out speedily! He communicated what services I might need to do in the next 10,000 miles, but never felt like he was pressuring me into doing a service that I wasn’t expecting or didn’t think I needed. He was personal, professional, and a delight to work with! Good job Toyota!

2022-07-07The Carlsbad Toyota Parts & Service Center has always been a reliable and dependable source for getting our Rav4 hybrid taken care of from the day it was new until now 2 years later. From the check in with your special advisor to go over every detail about why the car is there, the text updates on what is going on with the car along with any recommendations on things that they may have found and their cost, along with whether or not I want those issues fixed or not on that day and when the car will be ready for pickup. They have a great waiting area for customers along with the Parts Center in case you need or want Toyota original parts. I have always had a great experience with this business and with all of the staff that work there, I always leave happy and in a clean car or with a free voucher for a car wash just around the corner. I recommend this business when ever I can. They provided great service which is hard to find these days.

2022-05-31After having an excellent service advisor and relationship in AZ, I just moved to CA and had to find a new place for service. I am thrilled to have chosen Toyota Carlsbad for my service! They are thorough, professional, punctual and my service advisor, Codey F was amazing! My car was ready quicker than estimated and the customer lounge was super comfortable while I waited. It’s nice to know I can continue my service at such a wonderful Toyota service center near my new CA home!

2022-04-25This place is definitely not worth your time. I made an appointment the day prior to get my oil change which was really needed. I arrived the next day and Nicole offered me a deal which included the tire rotation, and brake inspection. I waited 3 HOURS, yes , 3 HOURS. Not only was I late for work but when I got my car back I noticed they didn’t even rotate my tires. Why couldn’t they have told me that Before I swiped my card? I called and they were very unprofessional telling me one thing over the phone but in person they did NOT mention to me. They’re liars and scammers, I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t even do my oil change. I do Not recommend this place! Completely unprofessional and a waste of your time.Very upsetting Toyota.

2022-01-27UNETHICAL SERVICE / LET ME DOWNOn July 30th, I took my Tacoma in for service on the bed cover. The latch/handle had stopped working and wanted a profession opinion on how to repair this. After having my car for 5 hours, the truck was returned to me without any signs of the issue being looked into. The service representative claimed that THE CABLE WAS LIKELY BROKEN IN THE MIDDLE AND THE WHOLE SECTION OF THE BED COVER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED ($650 for full service replacement, $250 just for parts) The cost seemed a little high.. enough for me to take a look for myself. When I found the tool to open the single plastic covering over the handle... I was able to diagnose the issue in 10 seconds, the cable had come loose from a clip and could be repaired without any tools... which I did. It was OBVIOUS that the technician had not reviewed my issue. When I called back to ask why they had recommended the full replacement, I was told it was a mis-diagnostic and they would bring it up to the manager. I never heard back from them. I have LOST MY TRUST in this service center to receive accurate and honest service. I wanted to give them a chance to make it right but they passed the buck and didnt take my complaint with any weight.

2022-02-09My Fiance took our Rav4 here today for the last free 20K service and before they even looked at the vehicle Jennifer recommended an alignment for $138. I used to work in the garage here and loved my job, but this is a classic case of taking advantage of someone who doesnt know much about their car. A car needing an alignment after 20K is highly unlikely unless you hit a curb or something. Also if they checked the car out and the tread was wearing unevenly and they recommended an alignment i would understand, but like i said, this was recommended before any mechanic even looked at the vehicle.

2022-04-05Codey And the entire team went above and beyond with exceptional service to take care of us. We had an unusual experience with one of our parts, and they just again went all out! I have special needs children, and they were so courteous, understanding and accommodating. I left with a huge smile on my face!

2022-05-29We took my truck into get a few things fixed but because they were busy we expected to have to wait a few days but our service advisor Antonio Santos was very kind and knowledgeable not only did he get everything fixed they found a few more things that needed upgraded and fixed and they did it for no charge. And the best part was I got my truck back same day all fixed up and ready drive!
