Update- The manager was very accommodating and understanding to our complaints. I hope Marriott makes the changes to make this hotel a better place to stay moving forward. The staff is friendly but our hotel room was filthy. Besides the dirty dishes in the cabinets, ripped carpet and disgusting couch. My kids also found garbage on the side of fridge and a large piece of metal on side of the couch. I can’t imagine if my infant would have fallen or found that. We requested additional pillows and towels for our children and were told we could only have 2 in addition to the 2 provided upon check in because hotel was at capacity. My daughter crawled around on the floor for 5 minutes and when she stood up her knees were black from the dirty carpet. Community garbage cans are always too full for anything else to be placed inside. We ended up finding a new hotel that my family felt clean and safe in. Would NOT recommend until changes are made.
Stayed at this Towneplace with my wife and 3 kids. I try to be a positive person in life and this review won’t show that.Checking in at the front desk the employee was cold and off putting. There was an attitude that I was bothering the employee by checking in.The room description of the two bedroom suite is both rooms would have a queen. In actuality one room has a queen and the other has a full bed. We called the front desk and they said it has two queens. So deciding to be positive and not have a measuring tape and bed size battle with the front desk we decided to make the most of it. The sofa is a pull out. When we ask for bedding they gave my son just sheets and a blanket from the front. My son returned to get pillows and he was told they are all out of pillows and couldn’t give him any. The next day my son asked for a pillow again and they provided him a pint size pillow. Image attached next to a regular pillow to compare size. So we shared other pillows from the other beds and made the most of it.Day three came and the night from hell happened. In the morning we asked them to provided us new towels and bedding while we were at the park. Also asked if they could empty our garbage cans. We placed the towels, sheets and garbage by the door to make things easy for them. They agreed and said it would be done while we were away at the park. Came home from the park late and they hadn’t brought new towels and sheets or emptied the garbage. Walked to the front desk after a long day and the gentlemen there apologized and provided me the sheets and towels. When I returned to the room hoping to be a triumphant dad with clean sheets and towels my kids and wife were visibly startled. There were cockroaches in the room, so disgusting but I wasn’t shocked because the whole hotel is dirty and run down. So I quickly killed all the cockroaches I found. Pictures of cockroaches attached for proof.I’ve included pictures of the poorly cleaned rooms upon arrival. Picture of a black substance on the bathroom ceiling which I assume is mold but I lack profession mold experience to truthfully diagnose mold in a room. After three nights we decided our positive attitudes were exhausted and checked out early and found a new hotel despite the much more expensive last minute booking.Usually Marriott properties are well run and clean. Not the case here. Also the door we entered was not secure and could be opened without a key.
Do you know to sing a song or scream, then this the hotel you want to go.. the toilets in the rooms doesnt have locks. Who would build a hotel without locks in the toilets! The hotel looks pretty new from outside but looks very old and beaten up on the inside. Its basically an expensive motel. Only advantage is its proximity to Disneyland.. definitely not worth the price
Honestly one of the worst hotels I’ve ever been to. Staff was uncooperative and hostile(they do absolutely nothing about noisemakers), and the General Manager is a robot with ATTITUDE. Rooms are disgusting and damaged. Wifi is intermittent at best. And homeless people will heckle you in the parking lot. Don’t bring your children here. The door on the second building can be easily opened with a pull. And laundry is EXPENSIVE. $700+ a night for a STUDIO? You’re not an apartment. You’re a shady hotel. Get real.
Positive: The staff was very nice and helpful and we liked the breakfast selection. Negative: The room we stayed in was dirty (gunk of the table) and spots on the carpet were not vacuumed. The couch was so scratched up on the front that it looked like a cat scratched it to shreds. On the pictures, the room looked nice but was very run down.
This is perhaps the worst Marriott I have ever stayed in. It is run down, dirty, and they don’t do room cleaning or even fresh towels unless requested the day before. If I could give less than 1 star I would. PS fire alarm at 4am and elevator doesn’t work. Mold everywhere. Not safe. AVOID
Don’t be fooled by the Marriott name and amenities. For the rate, complimentary parking and breakfast, I thought we were getting a steal. I didn’t read the reviews on here prior to booking my room, but definitely had similar issues as others. The staff at the front desk are nice and seem professional, but that was really the only thing going on for this hotel.Upon walking into our room, there was definitely a musty/stale smell in the atmosphere - no matter what we did. Whether we left the AC on, or sprayed the room with lavender, this smell smacked us in the face every time we walked through the door. Our second night, we found a spider on our bed. I honestly didn’t want to dig any further than that or lift the bed up, so I left it at that.I’m unsure if the room was undergoing any changes, but there was a note given to me with my room key mentioning that hotel operations had changed. I bring this up because our room didn’t have great aesthetics in addition to the above. The carpet looked like it was ripped up or being redone, there were random screws/nails in the drywall, the provided utensils (specifically the steak knife) had rust on it.Two of the pictures show what the bedside lamp looks like on one side of the bed, which was crooked/bent, and the other showing a mismatched lamp. Not a big deal, just something I thought was weird and should be pointed out.Not much to say other than we were pretty disappointed that Marriott had their name on this hotel. It was a place to stay at a good rate with complimentary parking and breakfast, but that was it.My pictures aren’t the best, and you can take what I’m saying with a grain of salt, but I would not recommend this hotel or plan on coming back here.
And I can EASILY say that it is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my entire life! I love Marriott hotels, it’s the only hotels I ever stay in. I didn’t think to check the google reviews before booking this hotel, and that was a huge mistake! However, I don’t ever check reviews, because I have always trusted the Marriott brand. This hotel is a disgrace to the Marriott name. Anyway- here’s why it was bad… our room smelled like urine, the carpet was ripped up in some areas. The furniture was ripped and dirty. There were live crickets jumping around. There was a live cockroach in the bathroom. My daughter slept on the pull out bed- the mattress was torn and I didn’t notice until we were packing up that there was black mold on the underside of the mattress. My husband is a paraplegic and wheelchair bound and the accessible bench in the shower was broken and we were unable to use the bench. There was food in the fridge when we arrived. There were 3 TV’s in our hotel and all 3 TV remotes were broken. There was food splattered all over the curtains and up onto the ceiling. The walls were dirty. I know it sounds like a lot. But I have pictures to back this all up! The location is this hotel was amazing. We came for a Disneyland trip and it was only a short 9 minute drive. It’s too bad that the hotel is so run down for such an amazing location. I felt very uncomfortable in this hotel. Something needs to be addressed with this hotel. It was really really bad.
The staff was excellent to us, everyone was plenty kind and they addressed our concerns. The hotel is in relatively poor condition. We noticed a massive hornets nest at the top of the second building and multiple birds seem to have found their home in the main building. The furniture is very old, our room desperately needed new carpet, felt very dimly lit. The location was fantastic, close to all sorts of dining options, and close enough to Disney that it made our lives easier. It served its purpose as a good place to sleep, but it definitely didnt feel like a Marriott hotel.
The staff are friendly and helpful. However, the hotel needs some updates and changes. First, they need to invest in actual luggage carts. I realize that these go missing easily, but as a guest, I was not happy that I had to make so many trips for my luggage! Second, the rooms need to be better stocked. One roll of toilet paper, for four people, for four days is not enough. I should not have to go to the front desk to get this or have it delivered. Third, the hotel needs some updating. The elevator broke during our stay. The couches are starting to look worn. The colors are very dated too. All in all not a horrible stay but I feel the company needs to invest some money in this location.
I have been staying at the Marriott w my family every time we are in Anaheim. It is close to Disneyland and everywhere we plan on going and they accommodate our service dog. We never had an issues until today. Whenever I book here, Joy at the Front Desk knows me already since I have been staying here frequently and each time I always request to be on the other building and on the first floor so that it is faster for us to go in and out w our service dog when they need to relieve themselves and not bother other guests. Joy always met our expectations even when she wasnt there. This time around when we checked in, the room we had requested was not ready so someone else on the front desk (not Joy) gave us a different room on the main building. When we walked in, the room smelled. I had to open the door to let some air out and air in. I had to go to the front desk to ask for some air freshener since the phone was not working. Also the TV did not work either. Moments later,, the Front desk told us that we can transfer to the other building. We had to gather our things and food and headed over next door. When we opened the door, the room smelled even worse that I actually gagged. We opened the windows, turned on the AC, and left the door open for a while and got another bottle of air freshener from the front desk. Other than this issue, the stay was great. Spoke to Joy about it and she was pleasant to talk as always. I wanted to give them a feedback that way it doesnt happen again for myself and for other guests. You want to be able to get inside your room and relax after a long day of driving and watch some TV or sleep but not have to worry about your room smelling. This is still a great place to stay at. Just hoping they would do much better on the smell and cleanliness and I do understand that places are short staffed due to the pandemic but again, it should still be addressed. Thank you!
Overall the staff was great each person helped a lot. Kim was amazing! The vibe was nice it’s walking distance to the Stadium. Food was mediocre. Bag breakfast. The room we stayed in was a double bedroom queen which had more the enough space it was nice the window views were great however toilet shower were dirty the microwave had a weird stain and it we did find some food crumbles. But with all that I would still come back and stay because the staff was great. The price is average for the spot. Thank you once again
We went here for a vacation and I was attracted by the square footage and the price was also doable. My wife and family had just completed a stay in Laguna Beach at another hotel (should have been more like a motel is what I had heard), and were looking forward to a room with more space and accommodations of what we have expected from the Marriott brand. Unfortunately, we were pretty underwhelmed. Granted, some of my requests could be thought of by some as unrealistic due to their staffing and housekeeping services being hampered by the pandemic, but overall I was hoping that our stay would have been better. For example, we requested that our room be ready by 1 PM and when we arrived, they wanted us to come back at 4 pm when official check in was ready. No problem I said. We arrived at 4:30 and the front desk clerk gave us our keys and a card that states vaguely that they are operating “with modifications.” Another signal for us to manage expectations. When we unloaded our luggage in the 4th floor of the building adjacent to the front desk, we noticed a room that was refreshed, but the decor was very dated and they didn’t provide more than one roll of toilet paper in the bathroom, along with no more than one small tube of shampoo. Three bath towels were also provided. For a family of four staying for five days, you would have expected housekeeping to at least come on the third day of our stay to refresh the towels and provide more bathroom tissue, but they did not come by once. I usually tip the housekeeping staff daily and a big tip (usually $20-30) upon checkout, but I didn’t see a reason to do it this time. What’s more the dishwasher is very noisy, the TVs have a very weak cable signal and do not work consistently, and the carpet was a little questionable to the extent that I didn’t feel comfortable walking on it with my bare feet. Other things to consider is the pool is much smaller than the pictures depict, AND it closes at 8 PM. What hotel does that? It wasn’t all bad though: the beds were relatively comfortable, and my family appreciated having their own rooms and a good amount of space as advertised. Bottom line: this was probably a great hotel 20 years ago, and it is good for people going to an Angels game, but I would not recommend it if you are looking for an elevated lodging experience, as there are other hotels in the area that reflect the Marriott brand more accurately.
We stayed here while we took our kids to Disneyland. After a full day at the parks I was so grateful we had comfy beds. I loved that we had a kitchen and the breakfast was so good! Its a quick drive to Disneyland and the perfect place for us to hang while we had some downtime.
Needs to be upscale. Very much outdated. The towels don’t have a great aroma. They are old, yellow, looks like it has brown color on them & not the white it suppose to be .The bed shirt don’t match with the curtains or comforter. The rug is another thing that doesn’t match with nothing. The lady in the kitchen attending the breakfast is very nice & helpful. The phone didn’t work at all. This place needs to be upgraded
Very helpful and accommodating staff. Thank you to Joy W. at the front desk and Sergio H. who works in maintenance. My first time traveling with my kitten and I noticed that the door to my room had too much clearance and it was possible that my kitten might get out will I was away. I asked Joy at the front desk if maintenance could come take a look. Sergio from maintenance came took a look and lowered the door sweep. Saved me any worries while being away. Thank you so much!
Our room was completely disgusting. Every time we came back the air in the room was musty and stale no matter what we did. Our second night, there was a spider on our bed. I don’t want to even think what was under the mattress. The only steak knife and other utensils had rust on them. There were random nails in the drywall and ceiling. There was hair from previous people in the bathroom drawers. The carpet was ripped up in certain areas.
The inside of the hotel and rooms do not look clean and look run down like. There are stains on alot of things. Our room had two microwaves because 1 did not work. They didnt let us know which one worked and which one didnt. Its nice that the TV has an option for Netflix but no disney+. Doesnt even have the disney channel when the main reason people visit is for disney. Breakfast is extremely limited to a banana and muffin. I was afraid to use any kitchen appliance because they looked like it came out of a Crack house. For the price we paid, we truly overpaid. They should only charge $90 a night for what you get. Also the bathroom had the rental makeover. They painted over imperfections.
Only reason we chose this place was that it had two bedroom suites near Disney. However the rooms inside dont have locks. Looks old. Two gentlemen at front desk were nice. Others were not. Room service doesnt show up. We were deterred to leave by certain time to get room service. We were deterred to be careful when asked about something to light a small scented candle. We were stranded without room service and without new towels for days. When asked for towels at front desk were told not available. Area outside the hotel is shady. Stay away from this place if you can at all cost.
So overall I really like this hotel. As advertised they are suites so each room has a full kitchen. We stayed for 2 nights. Overall the room was very clean and had one of the best AC that we have ever seen in hotel. The room stayed so cold just the way we like it. I only have one complaint and Im not sure how it would fixed but just a warning for those of you who stay here as a family vacation kind of thing. The walls are very thin and I could literally hear the couple next to us very early in the morning having some morning fun. Im not sure if the walls were just too thin or them being extra. But no I could literally hear their conversation. I just wanted to warn those with families who go on vacation with little ones ect.
When we visit Anaheim and go to LA Angels baseballs games, we like staying at this hotel as it is so near and such an easy 10 minute walk to Angel Stadium. The hotel is a little dated and not a resort type of hotel but is near to restaurants, Disneyland and other Anaheim attractions. The price of the room along with a kitchen makes for good value but the best thing is the staff led by Joy and Claudia. We visited during a busy weekend and although as a Platinum Elite Marriott Bonvoy member I could not get an early check-in. This was not due to them or the staff but in these COVID-19 times and like most businesses, they had limited staff to clean rooms, check in folks, etc. We like the location to Angel stadium and the many times we have stayed there, Joy and the team take care of their guests.
The rooms need a lot of work done to them, especially the rooms with adjoining doors as the smells from the next room can be VERY overpowering, but as far as the staff go, the ladies in reception will do the utmost to help out. Nothing is to much for them. A great thanks to Joy, Claudia & the rest of the team for making my stay as comfortable as possible. You ladies do your company proud. If only the rooms were as good as the service it would be 5 stars.
After 1st night my family and I woke up with a sore throat and runny noise. When we looked through the room the sofa bed was molded. After we told the front desk they showed us 5 rooms to choose from. 4 out of 5 had mold on the sofa bed. We found a room with no mold, however it was not clean. We decided just to stay there and they brought a new sofa mattress for my 4yr old. The sofa mattress was in a box, so that tells me they have them on site just dont change them out. Facility was great, however rooms are outdated. Breakfast on website is not what is offered, microwave egg sausage sandwich and running oatmeal is what was served. Its ashame it has free parking and less than 10 minutes from Disneyland however I would not recommend or stay again, not family friendly. Unfortunately mattiot hotels are normally my go to hotel and this was the worst stay Ive ever had a hotel.
TownePlace Suites by Marriott was neither good nor bad. During our stay there was an odor noticed when walking into the suite. I aired out the suite and it still had an odor. The stove top did not work well enough to boil water, so we couldn’t cook some of the food we brought. There are two grills at the pool. They are very dirty, very dirty. The pool looked like it hasn’t been clean in many days. The staff was very kind. They greeted us every time we enter the main entrance. I’m giving the room 2 stars due to the odor and not being able to cook.
The hotel is in need of repairs. The rooms are dated and show lots of deterioration. Booked my stay 2 to 3 weeks in advance and when calling the night before, they stated they were low on supplies such as pillows and towels. Just coming out of a pandemics l. How do you not prepare for when things go back to normal? The night we checked in, there was a mentally ill person on the property and started yelling at people in the lobby. The desk people ignored the situation. Not a place I would bring my daughter back to. Next time Ill just pay a little more and get a better experience.
The staff was great the manager was great also. The bathroom had mold on the dealing and the drains where rusty. The place looks worn down. Again all the staff was awesome the room we stayed at was not that good room 114. We where just in town for a Baseball game.we also had a room at the Embassy suites that day. It’s a few min away. We spent most of our day there.Great location Starbucks, Panda, Carls Jr Panera are in the parking lot area.
We enjoyed our 6 day stay at the TownePlace very much. We were visiting the recently reopened Disneyland. We had a car but found it convenient to use the local ART bus to get to and from the Park. The Front-desk staff can tell you how to contact them. We got a 5 day Pass for $25.00 each. You just request a ride on the App when you’re ready. There were a few delays but not too bad. The grounds were well kept and the Staff were very competent. Some of the reviews I had read previously had me a little nervous but I was very pleasantly surprised. Our 1 bedroom suite was clean and well kept. My only suggestion would be to upgrade the bag breakfast. The addition of a breakfast sandwich and some yogurt would be huge!!!We also liked that there were several restaurants in the adjoining parking lot area. Denny’s, Panda Express, Chipotle, Starbucks and a Panera Bread was just opening. McDonalds and other restaurants we’re just across the street. There was also a Walmart within about 5 to 7 minutes. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. As a matter of fact we are planning another visit in the near future.
The worst hotel I’ve ever walked into. We arrived at 4:00pm and our room wasn’t ready. They were short staffed and the rooms weren’t cleaned. When we walked into the room it smelled musty and was extremely hot. The shower was so dirty and there was a cigarette burn in the couch. All of the furniture was outdated and so were the rooms. When it was time to go to bed the bed sheets had stains and so did the pillows. We checked into another hotel as we absolutely could not spend a night here. I wouldn’t wish my worst enemy to stay at this hotel, it was truly the most vile place I’ve walked into.
Do not stay here. I cant believe I used the Marriott app to rent a room at this hotel. It showed that the hotel has 4 stars. I was bamboozled and wasted my money. After checking in, I realized the hotel was really ran down. I wasnt able to check the quality of the bed yet because I had to quickly get ready and go to my step daughters high school graduation near by. Upon coming back, I checked the bed. After lifting the cover of the sheets we discovered bed bugs. I quickly called the front desk and Celine was very nice. She told me she would get me a new room and apologized. We packed our bags and went down to the lobby, Celine provided us with new keys. We went to our second room and to our amazement this room was a mess. Housekeeping did not clean the room. We had to go back and tell poor Celine that this room was a mess too. She was mortified.Celine check three more additional rooms and got the keys. She said that she would walk with us to go check these rooms to make sure that they were clean. Unfortunately upon checking all three rooms those were all dirty as well. She was more embarrassed and told us just to wait in the lobby while she tried to find us a clean room, mind you this was late at night. Finally Celine found us a room on the first floor that was decent. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. After checking this room out we deemed that it was decent enough to stay in the room. When I laid down after my shower to go to sleep, my husband told me dont look up. You never tell a woman not to look up, and think shes not going to do so. I looked up and nearly fell out backwards in the bed. There was a big spider on the ceiling. I have the worst Arachnophobia known. Luckily my husband got rid of the spider, and I just went to sleep. I could not pack my stuff up and look for another room. The tv did not even work. The next day I spoke to the manager Joy. I informed her of what happened. She apologized and offered to give me 50% off of my stay. I had booked one studio room, and one two bedroom room. Luckily the two bedroom was fine. I figured 50% off my stay for the one studio room would be somewhat justified. I checked out on Saturday Joy was off that day. I checked my receipt I was only given me 50% off one night, which equaled $50 off my stay. My total bill was $503 - $50, which equaled $453. I would have been more happier if she gave me 50% off that studio stay so I would only have been charged one night and said two. Especially because I didnt get any sleep the first night. I was worried about the spiders and the bed bugs.I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. The cost of the stay a night was approximately $120, I think the room should have been no more than $50!
I would give it 3 1/2 stars but the price. I understand trying to recover from a year of pandemic and no customers but over $325 a night for a 2 room suite that hasnt been updated in 10 years or more... And seemingly every IT guy and every family going to the Angeles or Disneyland in that time has stayed in this room. Outdated, smells, and even if it is sanitized and clean, it doesnt feel it. 3 old air conditioners in the room that cant do the job... They are taking advantage of captive customers. Cant say much about the city of Anaheim either. If you want to explain life and the ladys of the street to your children, this is a good city for that.
The location was great and the staff was nice, but the room was really not in great shape. The kitchen light didnt work (but they did change the bulbs when requested), the toilet wouldnt stop running, the bedside clock was broken (it didnt even have a plug to plug into the wall), it just sat there pointlessly. There was a dirty washcloth on the floor of the closet. They would only give 1 toilet paper roll at a time for a 5-night stay so twice we ran out and had to use facial tissues until morning. No hot breakfast. I was disappointed.
This hotel is in very bad shape and desperately needs complete renovation! The furniture in the rooms are all stained, old and dirty. Not fit for anyone to use! The bathroom, kitchen, living room and bedrooms all need to be upgraded! Very disappointed and shocked that this hotel is part of the Marriott chain! I was planning to stay with my kids here for when we visit the theme parks but I already cancelled my future reservation after my horrible one night stay and thankfully found a different hotel that is so much better! Never staying here again even if you pay me!
We needed a place to stay during an apartment renovation. I was skeptical about staying in a hotel after COVID-19 but no worries here. Very clean location just like your own home. Food service is suspended right now. No touch service for housekeeping is currently in place. If you want your room cleaned you have to request it but otherwise you can just request towels, toiletries, etc. as needed. Would I stay again? “Most definitely.”
A nice place near the Disney parks and Angels Stadium. Great location. Confortable rooms. Outdated but very clean and everything works. Breakfast is On The Go despite being advertised as Buffet. No House keeping so you have to take the trash outu and look for bags daily.
As mentioned earlier, hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Especially Joy at the front desk. Great recommendation and directions. Hotel conditions were not the best (elevator may need an overhaul) as it is an older hotel/suites, but it is clean and very convenient if going to the Angels game! All in all a gem in the rough!
Hotel is disgustingly dirty and worn down. Found a collection of dead roaches all over the room, phone didn’t work to call front desk and went down to ask for another room and was treated like I was asking for a 5 star suite in Vegas. Staff is horrible and room are disgusting, skid row feels safer and cleaner.
Do not rent a room if you cant clean the room. Trash everywhere. Floors not mopped. Carpet dirty. Rooms and halls have an odd odor. They have security but they leave by 10pm (why have them). The staff and manager Joy were very nice. I was there 4 days, I saw one cleaning lady on one day I was there. Trash cans outside over flowing with trash. Everyone just tossed towels and trash in the hall because no one came by to service the rooms.
I love the location of this place, theyre dog friendly, the staff is pleasant and accommodating, and the affordable suites are perfect for families. If only they would do a more thorough job of cleaning the rooms. The rooms have a musky/ mildewy smell so we kept the air on the entire time, the carpets are also a bit dirty so remember to bring some house slippers to walk around the room. Dont walk around bare foot! Hold your breath when you go down the halls too because it smells like urine. Also remember to bring disinfecting wipes to wipe down the kitchen drawers/ tables, and dresser drawers before you use them.
This hotel is a prime location for those who are interested in seeing the angels play baseball. It is within walking distance of a plaza with multiple eateries. However this is not a luxury hotel, and you may need to get in contact with staffing in order to get more resources or have your room cleaned again. Luckily staffing is excellent and everyone is courteous, and parking is free.
We were passing by Los Angeles area, and spent a night. I liked the separate bedroom, kitchenette, and free parking with free breakfast. However, the elevator had a couple of missing buttons on the floor indication. In breakfast area, they ran out of bread before the closing time, which was not a good thing to happen.
This hotel looks fine on the outside. Once in the room things are in bad shape.Problems we saw are1. Dirty socks on the floor from someone else. Did they vacuum between stays?2. Pull out mattress was torn and moldy.3. The pull out table had food residue on it in both rooms. 4. Furniture worn out large pieces torn off of the vanity in the bathroom.
We checked in. The reception area was not inviting at all and in disarray. We were told that breakfast would not be served because of Covid. (this was NOT mentioned on the website) After some discussion the receptionist took a few dollars off the rate for the inconvenience. Once in the hallway to our room we noticed (even with our masks on) a terrible odor. This odor continued in the elevator and on the fourth floor hallway where our assigned room was. Inside the room the furniture was old and worn. There was a stain in the bottom of the toilet, and either a stain or something on the side of the toilet bowl. There was ONE bath towel hanging on the rack. I called front desk, she said she would assign another room. After going downstairs and getting two new keys that didnt work in the door of the new room, I went back downstairs and informed the receptionist that my husband and I were leaving, and she said there wouldnt be a charge. Luckily, there was a very nice and clean hotel only a mile away that had one room left. The Marriott brand should be embarrased to have their name associated with the TownePlace Suites.
The staff was friendly and helpful. That is the only positive thing I can say. The property is old, falling apart, and dingy.our room was clean but all common areas( hallways, elevators, stairs) were dirty. Don’t know how Marriott is okay with putting their name on this hotel.
This place is definitely not what I have learned to expect of Marriott. The place is in bad shape and in need of an update. Heavy mildew smell on entry, torn dirty carpets, badly washed sheets (blood stains), dirty, torn sofa. Laundry machines very expensive; laundry room filthy. Will avoid this hotel on our next trip to the area.
The hotel staff was very nice and friendly, however, the hotel rooms and the hotel property in general are absolutely disgusting and desperately need renovations. This stay was the first time in my life that I ever AVOIDED going back to my hotel because it is so gross!!!At check-in, the first room we were assigned (in the second building) smelled extremely musty and urine-like, as did the hallways and elevator. The second room we moved to (also in the second building) smelled like cigarettes. The third room we were moved to (in the main building) smelled ok, however, the carpet was ripped in various places and it was sticky in some places (my wife and daughter wouldn’t walk barefoot in the room!), the headboard on the bed was sticky and stained, the walls and furnishings all are very old and stained and unclean, the curtains were dusty and dirty, as were electrical outlets that we needed to access behind/near the nightstands, the nightstand drawers were dirty on the inside, and the bathroom felt like we were in a dirty/old locker room. (The condition of the first two rooms that we were assigned were very similar.)
PLEASE READ!!This is the second to the worst room or hotel Ive ever stayed in. I cant believe #Marriott puts there name on this!!Spiders in the bed , the hair you dont want to see the the tub , the worst stained and tattered couch Ive seen since a dorm room.I had a feeling walking down the hallway to the room initially that I could be in for something but not this bad! The smells ,dirty doors entering the building and people working on abandoned looking cars in the parking lot. We had a five nights say and only managed one and only because we got in around midnight. The saving Grace of this hotel is the staff. 1 star goes to them otherwise NO stars. STAY AWAY TILL THEY DO SOMETHING! This is a one star not 3! Im so disappointed for the first time in my 52 years of going to Marriott name properties. Thank you #Sonesta select Laguna 3 star for standing up to what you say and more and for saving the day we will be back.
Room smelled musty upon entering. Toilet did not flush well, sheets felt damp, overall room did not feel clean and was worn and tired. No blankets available for pull out sofa from front desk.Checked out early the next morning and found another hotel. Not up to Marriot standards.
Overall stay was good. Staff at front desked was professional. Only thing is the hotel hall and our room smelled like cigarette smoke which impacted my asthma. Thankfully having the AC on sort of flowed air throughout the room. Hotel needs to deep clean rooms definitely.
Super customer serviceGreat room - studio. Stayed for 2 days.Lots of food places around. Will definitely will go there again!!Really nice breakfast set up , Sanitation and COVID protocal remarkable. All employees wore masks eventhough if fully vaccinated no masks required In Orange county.
WARNING : They have cockroaches.stayed at this place pre pandemic. our house flooded and we had to get our floor redone we were stuck at this place for a few weeks it was smelly , dirty , the workers were horrible and they had cockroaches. tracked them home and now today a year later we are getting the roaches out. my dad killed about 3 roaches on our stay it was disgusting. & the next day when we finally got home our cat smelled a roach in our camera holder that we took to that hotel. while im looking I thought I might as well leave a review since I came across this place as I was searching for a hotel to stay at this week. I see through the reviews that not much has changed due to covid. id assume its probably worse since they are short staffed. DO not come here unless you want to sleep with roaches.
It was gross, disgusting. The rooms were dingy and dirty. Visible stains in the couch, carpet, refrigerator floors, doors, walls. I was afraid to touch anything. Very disappointed. Also there was no breakfast buffet served as advertised. I rented the room expecting breakfast in the morning. No where on the website does it say no breakfast because of covid. Had it said that, I would not of rented room. And price was not adjusted for it.
Overall a really bad experience at this hotel. The staff when we checked in was quite cranky and lied to us several times about available upgrades (reservations desk and website both confirmed there were upgrades available but one front desk member told us Monday and Tuesday were completely sold out while the second front desk member told us Wednesday was completely sold out). There was a huge crowd of people all waiting to check in and none of the rooms were ready at check-in time (4:00). When the front desk agent called the cleaning person, they spoke in Spanish (not knowing that I am fluent) they talked about how the cleaning lady was still at lunch then she told me in English that the lady is cleaning as quickly as she can to get the rooms ready. We were finally able to get to our room about 45 minutes after the posted check-in time.Once we were in the room, there were 3 light bulbs burned out, the carpet was torn in several places, big chips out of the bathtub and walls, the mattress in the sofa bed was in tatters and every corner in the bathroom was either black or purple. When I asked about switching rooms I was again told it was sold out so I had to deal with it.Breakfast was ok, but the room is way too small for the number of guests they had so it was standing room only most mornings (which is really hard with my small children). They were frequently out of things so we ended up waiting for them to restock most mornings. The breakfast staff was very nice and apologetic, I felt bad for them because they were doing their best but the space just didnt support them.I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Im usually pretty loyal to Marriott but spare yourself from staying at this hotel.
I stayed here with my sons to attend a concert at Honda Center. It was ideal for that purpose. Front desk employees were efficient and nice, check in took minutes. We were able to Uber to the concert in minutes, and walked back to the hotel afterwards. We had a two bedroom suite. The beds were perfect. So comfortable, and the linens were crisp and smelled fresh and clean. The rest of the room was due for updating, minor repairs and a deep cleaning. Just tired and dated. There was a TV in each bedroom as well as the living area. The cable service was choppy, difficult to watch the news in the morning. Netflix worked fine. There was a kitchen that was convenient for reheating our takeout leftovers. Not sure I would choose this if we were staying longer than overnight. The beds were definitely the selling point for me. If the guest rooms were updated it would be a fantastic place to stay.
Location very convenient walking distance to Angel Stadium. While somewhat close to the Disney parks, it is better to drive, catch an Uber, or taxi. There are a couple of city shuttle stop very close, but catching the shuttle to the Disney parks is not as convenient or easy as it used to be when the hotel sold daily passes. Now you have to create and an account with TripStop and book a ride. The app is not intuitive nor easy to navigate or figure out. Still havent been able to use it.
Been staying at this location close to the Angel Stadium since its also close to Disneyland which is the main purpose of the trip. It is close to nearly everything...The Block, Roscoes, Target, etc. However, I do wish the pricing was a bit lower. It costs more than my stay at one of the fancy hotels in the Vegas. If the cost was less, this would be great.
I killed two cockroaches in the bathroom. The furniture is filthy and the carpet is torn and coming apart. The floors in the kitchen are sticky and the fridge and stove are dented, damaged, and dirty. I have stayed at hundreds of Marriott properties and never seen this prolly maintained location. This hotel was like a cheap motel but at and extremely high price.
Dirty rooms we never got housekeeping had to come down for clean towels and toilet paper had to take out our trash in a near by closet we found that had a larger trash bin!! Woke up early one morning and saw three roaches in the restroom my legs and arms are full of bug bites and im guessing it’s bed bugs will be going to the doctors to get them checked also when we first checked in there was old chicken in the fridge very bad quality for being a Marriott hotel!!!
This place had more positives than negatives. Having a room which had 2 separate bedrooms is great for families. Now if the place was cleaner and/or had more modern look i would be impressed. I didnt like the bathroom setup at all, but thats me being picky.Free breakfast is a huge selling point. Unfortunately, it ended way too early at 930. Out of our 3 nights, only had the opportunity one time to get any food and on that day, it was 915 and most food was already gone. Quite frustrating.....Free parking is great.Proximity to Disney and the freeway is excellent.
This place for me was spot on. Clean rooms. We had kitchenette studio. Perfect. It was quiet. Wow. And the staff was good. I got a stank eye a couple of times but will let it go. Lol. If you are staying a long stay. Need an affordable place. Choose this over the other. Good job. Keep up the great work
I was in town for work and when I arrived to check in, I was not allowed to use my Visa Credit Card. The card was never ran and I was informed that it was the manager’s policy. Not a Marriott policy, but the manager’s policy. I asked to speak to the manager and got a response that made absolutely no sense. Eventually he decided to make an exception and told the receptionist to run my card, which worked without any issues. I felt unappreciated as an Elite Bonvoy Member, and was quite furious that I even had to go through this experience in the first place. Do not stay at this hotel.
If you are planning on an extended stay and making food in the room and having a low cost room option in a decent location then this might work, otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend this place. The pool had 1 lounge chair, which was ripped, the rooms are extremely dated and furniture old with stains, my bathroom sink didn’t drain and the toilet only flushed when held down. I wouldn’t stay here again.
Some staff members are not too helpful, but the ones that are, were great. No attention to detail; torn carpet, broken drawers in the dressers, dusty furniture and living areas, and a strange smell...like patchouli incense. Light fixtures in the rooms didnt work...but for the price point, I was satisfied. Alot of ridiculous little nit-picky issues with the rooms, and certain staff members, but tolerable for the cost...
The place needs major renovations and a deep clean. The comforters inn both beds were stained with makeup and the gra still put them on the bed for the next guest. There was mildew on the top of the walls. Smells really stale. It’s literally a last resort or if you’re not going to be in the room all day. Gra barely knew English and she didn’t understand what I was asking for.
We really liked this hotel. Every employee that we talked to greeted us with a smile and was helpful. The breakfast was great, waffles with toppings, eggs and sausage or some kind of meat, it changed. The pool was outdoors and we didn’t use it, so I can’t comment on that. We also didn’t use the public transportation available there, we just drove and parked in the toy story parking lot which worked out great. The suite was perfect for our family of 4 adults and 2 children. The room met our needs well. The only negative things I have to say about our stay was that I asked before we got there to have a total of 6 towels because there were 6 of us there and we never got that. Any time they replaced the towels they gave us 4 and we had to go back to the lobby and ask someone for 2 more. We also ran out of toilet paper one of the days, and I was surprised that no one had stocked more under the sink, we had to call and get more. There was a plate with food on it left in the microwave from the last guests which really smelled terrible. There was also some small spots of mold on the walls and ceilings in the bathroom and that bothered me the most of everything. Overall there were some things that bothered me, but I still feel like the good far outweighed the bad with our stay and I was happy to have stayed there.
My mom, 2 sisters and I were in town for a concert wanted a hotel close to Honda Center— when we booked months ago, others in the area were sold out so we chose this hotel because it had a kitchenette and could sleep 4 with the pullout sofa bed. Well, lets start by saying the staff was pleasant and pretty accommodating, so no complaints there...and even though the hotel was dated and no frills, even that wasn’t our complaint. The upholstered furniture was grossly stained, the carpet was ripped badly, there was a funky odor throughout and the outlets in the bathroom were so loose our plugs wouldn’t even stay in — but the breaking point was the ‘mattress’ on the pullout sofa. It was ripped to shreds on the sides, pancake thin and lumpy, and FILTHY (spotted with appeared to be black mold). Also, there were potato chip crumbs on it. It was obvious this sofa ‘bed’ had not been addressed by cleaning/hotel staff for a very long time. We moved to another room & while the next one smelled clean and generally felt nicer, that sofa bed was only marginally better (foam still shredded/exposed on the edges) and still some mold present. The hotel staff was apologetic & let us cancel our reservation. Thankfully, there was an available room at the Marriott at Anaheim Convention Center (5 minutes away!), and it was a GREAT experience. Beautiful, modern, clean with amenities galore (and our lovely room with 2 queen beds cost the same as the Marriott Towne Place, which is just unbelievable)!
The location to Angels stadium is extremely convenient and the front desk staff is always friendly and professional. I have noticed that its getting a bit run down and the outside grounds and stair ways were not as well kept as they have been in the past. But, its still our go to when we go to a game
What a great stay! We needed a place to rest our head before and after our stay at Disneyland, and this was our first time at this location. This year I achieved Platinum status, and have only received so-so welcomes up until this stay. From when we walked in Miguel was warm and welcoming. Not only did he recognize my status, but made sure that I felt valued as a rewards member. The welcome gifts were wonderful and included the points, free item from the pantry, as well as a great snack bag! He even made sure to explain how the transportation worked to get to Disneyland so we could save the money on parking in the garage. Even though we didnt use it, it was a nice option to have! The room itself was OK. It felt a bit damp everywhere, but that was likely due to the high level of moisture outside during our entire stay. The bed could also use a refresh as we felt like we sloped to the center most of the night. However unlike other reviews on this property, we had no issues with the AC/Heat or the Hot water. This has become our new hotel of choice when visiting Disneyland and cant wait to visit again. Thank you Miguel!
My daughter and I stayed at the Towne Place Suites for 3 nights when we went to Disneyland/California Adventure for her 13th birthday. The ART (Anaheim Resort Transit) stop was right outside of the lobby and was a great way to get to the parks. The drivers were very helpful and friendly, and there arent a ton of people on this route. Our room was spacious for the two of us. Because most of our time was spent at the parks, we didnt have to use the kitchen that much, but it was a great having it for water/drinks and snacks. Breakfast was perfect. Each morning had two new hot items to choose from. It wasnt the same boring scramble eggs and bacon over and over. The eating area is small, but we ate quick to get on the shuttle to Disney. The front desk staff were very friendly, when I called and in person. We were able to get into our room a couple of hours early because there was a room available. That was perfect. There is a Carls Jr. about 100 yards from the hotel. It was nice to get a quick last minute meal after being at the park all day. There is a Starbucks and other food places as well.Overall, we had a very nice stay. It wasnt luxurious, but a great value for a bedroom suite with full kitchen.
I do not recommend staying at this property, unless they do some renovations and do better on keeping up with the maintenance and housekeeping doing some quality work.We had one of the most disappointing Marriott hotel stay experiences. The upkeep of this property completely failed our expectations with Marriott brand and standards.Major disappointments:- Toilet bowl had a ring of VERY obvious mold around the rim! This is something visible when you can see before you walk into the bathroom. Housekeeping really failed their job on this and I couldn’t believe there was no management checking their work. This was disgusting. It’s not something that can build up within a few days, so it clearly shows how sloppy the cleaning work is or completely lack of training or quality check. It’s hard to believe this is happening in a Marriott property…- The radio/clock on the nightstand, the cable on the radio/clock end was completely broken, you could see the copper wire showing. People could get electrical shock or even electrocuted from it! Again, the housekeeper didn’t pay attention to it. Who knows how long this clock has been broken, and it just sits there. Very dangerous item to be in the room like this.- The towel hook on the back of the bathroom door was almost falling apart. It came really loose. There is no way the housekeeper never noticed this, but it seems like it wasn’t getting reported to the engineer to get it fixed.- Soap holder in the shower has very visible mold around the caulk. It’s something every guest would definitely see if s/he stands there to take the shower. This could easily be re-caulked.- Everyday we spot some gnats (or similar insects) in our room. Not sure where they are from (window or sink), it was super annoying. May need to do some pest control or deep pipe cleaning.Minor disappointments:- There was not a single USB plug in the room to charge the USB devices. Most hotels adopted this trend and added some USB outlets in the room, but not at this hotel.- The microwave was super small and the turnable function was broken. Based on the kitchen cabinet layout, a slightly bigger microwave could fit there, but they picked a tiny one to put there.- The bedsheet was getting old, it got those fuzz balls. Time to get some new sheets.- Carpet in the room wasn’t very clean. Close to many corners you could see it was not well cleaned/vacuumed. Maybe part of the reason was that the carpets were old too.- The laundry room was pretty dirty and unorganized. Also the door room card reader was broken, probably should get it fixed.- No upgrade was offered based on the Bonvoy status during check-in.- Breakfast service was suspended instead of offering to-go bags.We did encounter some nice and friendly employees during our stay, but the things that let us down were too many so it outweighed the good experience parts. This may be an older-ish property, but that does not mean the upkeep and housekeeping should be at a lower standard. We were very disappointed about this stay. I don’t know how many other guests also went through this disappointing stay experience, and I’m sure the similar issues we encountered may also be happening in other rooms at this property too. Be aware of all these points when you book at this property. If you are looking for an exceptional staying experience, I suggest you look somewhere else.
Room smelled like mold. Moved to 2nd room that smelled like cigarette smoke. Told no other rooms available, so I went back to the disgusting and dirty smelling first room. TV didn’t work. Stains and tears on couch and carpets. Room was provided with 1/2 roll of toilet paper. Had to go ask for more in lobby. Given 1 roll so had to ask for more so I didn’t have to go back again the next day. Trash overflowing the can right outside our building. So much so that there was a possum 2 feet from the building’s exterior door. Just a disgusting property. Worst Marriott experience I’ve ever had, and my family exclusively uses Marriott. Reconsidering our decisions….
Dirty. Not like old dirty but actually dirty. Floor was freshly stained with dark liquid and old food. Food was on corners of room. Had to use extra sheets to cover floor and couchTo hide the amount of dirt and staines ad use the couch. Very gross. Cabintes screwed together on broken areas with screws out.2nd day out if 5 they had NO towels to provide or paper towels. No sponges to clean dishes. Smelled of mold and AC did not work. Was more swamp cooler. TV did not work and kept disconnecteing. Attempted to leave a day after checking in but would have lost the whole 5 days funding ( after 5 days being there should have left anyway). Be warned this place is very poorly kept and managed. Pay extra to upgrade to another hotel. The receptionist was very kind but I do not recommend.
We stayed for several days to go to Disneyland. The kitchen was perfect to save money. The breakfast was convenient and plentiful. Their shuttle was a little slow but worth the money. Housekeeping was nice and efficient. Laundry room and gym were great. One in each building was brilliant.
Outside of Hotel looks nice but once you step in it is another story. The rooms are dated and it feels like there is a lack of cleanliness... shower and floors were stained and paint was peeling in several areas. Thankfully the bed was clean and felt comfortable enough to sleep in but only for a night. No way would I stay here longer or again for that matter. This place can definitely use some love.
We stayed for 8 nights in a suite. Fri,sat, sun the room was cleaned all dishes were done beds made and towels replaced as it should. The rest of the week the beds were made and towels changed that was it.The people at the desk always greeted you and were very nice.Breakfast was served everyday in a small area with a few tables so you had to take your breakfast to the room. You had to constantly excuse yourself cuz you were bumping into people. Being so close to Disney you would think you could get a shuffle but no. Pool area with hot tub was nice. It included two grills to cook on that we took advantage of. All in all we had a good time and a good night sleep.
We loved the room and the staff was very helpful for when we needed the TV changed out, water issue in the shower as well as getting a package shipped. The breakfast is nice with waffles (teddy bear mold!) as well as eggs and breakfast meat. We didnt use the pool or hot tub, but they looked in good condition. The Disneyland shuttle picks up right outside on a set schedule you can text for arrivals and drop offs. They run a good hotel!
Very disappointing property. Marriott is known for quality facilities. This property is of low quality and brings shame to the Marriott name. I believe it has only survived as a result of its proximity to Disneyland. The room was dirty and run down, shampoo and conditioner were used, toilet paper was out, remote did not function, and the promised breakfast, still advertised on their personal website, was suspended even though Orange County is now in the lowest Covid tier. I will think twice now about patronizing future Marriott properties.
Exterior for this hotel smells horribly. The lobby had food all over the floor, our elevator was sticky, and our sheets never got washed. On top of that the front desk had no idea what they were doing, and it seemed as though maintenance knew about the same amount. The room I was shown online was nowhere near the room we got. A painting kept falling off the wall, so we had to take it down until we left. The hot tub was cold, and the pool was barely cleaned by the looks of things. I will never he returning to this hotel. Also got a fun extra charge for food and drink that I never took, so that was nice.
Should improve cleaning.Odd smell.Breakfast is like war: few tables, lots and lots of guests, only one person replace food.If you are lucky to be have breakfast on the day the hotel receives food, you will have breakfast... otherwise, you will not have fruits/chocolate milk/yogurt/croissant/muffin... etc maybe only bread and corn flakesGood parking. All the staff is really nice!! They should have more people working!
We stayed here with our kids during a week of Disneyland. The bad: hotel is a bit run down. Needs remodeling, but I never felt like it was dirty. Just ugly. The internet wasn’t working for a few days. Hardly any seating for breakfast. The couch bed was the worst I’ve ever seen. Glad my kids are little and didn’t care! We also used a crib and the mattress in it was rock hard. The good: my family really loved their breakfast options. They even have a bear shaped waffle maker. There’s a stop right at the hotel for a paid Disneyland shuttle. Uber is also relatively cheap from the hotel. The pool was WARM! I hate cold water and I actually swam with my kids and enjoyed it. Kitchens are small but had everything we needed. Staff was friendly.
Room smelled horrible & musty. Housekeeping stole or threw away my good Starbucks coffee cup. Breakfast was empty when we got to the dining area....had to wait for more to come out & then it was cold and unedible! Management would only apply $10 worth of bonus points to my Marriott Rewards. No discount for my stay issues...cant buy a new cup with a rewards card for a hotel. Very disappointed in this hotel, especially since its a Marriott. I definitely expected more.
The rooms can use some updating, but they are clean. Employees are very friendly and helpful. Good selection for the complimentary breakfast. The person that took care of our room also washed the few dishes we were going to wash when we got back! I was not expecting that at all. Reasonably priced and only a few minutes to Disneyland. On anther note, if you have to do a load of laundry, the dryer completely dried a large load of laundry in one cycle! I was oddly impressed by that. Would stay there again for sure.
Will the staff was responsive and helpful; the hotel is due for a serious update. Our room had fraying carpet, chipped paint and looked like it was in need of repair. We were simply staying for a couple of days while our extended family was at Disney Land which this hotel worked well for. Dont expect t a nice relaxed breakfast as the space provided is way too small to accommodate the crowds. We ate standing up both mornings, the breakfast was typical hotel breakfast but was still ok. As long as you dont expect much, you wont be disappointed with this hotel.
We selected this location for its relative proximity to Disneyland. However rooms were worn and musty smelling. Carpets had stains. Lamps were hanging crooked off walls. Toilet seat was falling off. Floors were slanted. Breakfast was mediocre and was never sufficient for the number of guests. It is a very small space people were tripping over each other. There should be more grab and go items for people in a hurry to get to Disneyland. This property needs an update and is not currently up to the standard of a Marriott-branded hotel under the Townplace Suites family.
All and all, we really enjoyed our stay here. The staff is EXCEPTIONAL. They are the reason The stay was so enjoyable. The service was bar none. They are so nice and accommodating. They made us feel incredibly valued. They treated us like we were The only guests there. We were greeted by name, always acknowledged, anything we needed they provided and They always made time for us. They really did go the extra mile to make us feel valued and comfortable. Lots of personal touches from a personalized greeting for being an elite or platinum member of Marriott. The beds and pull out sofa were surprisingly comfortable. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the fully stocked kitchen indispensable. The closet was also spacious There were 4 of us and We never felt like we were tripping over each other. We had plenty of bedding and housekeeping made sure our beds were made and we always had plenty of clean towels and sundries. Internet was reliable and relatively fast. No issues there ! Plenty of outlets but the property could use an update with placement of USB ports and the decor/ carpet is a bit dated. The pool was heated and very clean. Plenty of room to relax. The little store in the lobby was very convenient and well stocked. The Complimentary Breakfast was fantastic. It was always well stocked, a staff member always present and there was a good variety of fresh fruits, yogurt, coffee, teas, milk and juices. There was always a daily variety of eggs, sausage/bacon, waffles, cereal, oatmeal, muffins and bagels. What an great perk !! The location is convenient and close enough to everything we needed. Wouldnt say that we were in walking distance to Garden Walk (Its about 1.5 miles away in heavy traffic) but it is a very quick drive and plenty of parking available upon arrival (go to Snowopolis for shaved ice or smores platter!) There is a shuttle that will take you to Disney City Walk and Parks; its Very reliable and convenient. If you rent a car, there is plenty of free parking available. Carls Jr, Panda express, Starbucks, Baskin and Robbins are less than a minute walk away. There is also a McDonalds and other restaurants nearby or across the street - also within walking distance. There is a Walgreens 1.5 miles away and grocery stores and gas stations nearby. Id definitely stay here again. We got quite the bargain for the perks, conveniences, amenities and especially with the extremely good customer service provided to us. A++
Awesome stay!! The staff was extremely nice and very helpful. Easy check-in process. The room was clean and the hotel was pretty quiet. We had the 2 bedroom suit with a kitchen and it was perfect for our family of 5. The pool was great. The kids loved it. We will definitely stay here again! Loved Disneyland!!
I love the location, but thats not why I stayed here. It was close to my business, and has great features, upgraded rooms, comfort level in a class by itself for a smaller hotel. This is a great place to stay if you want to see the sights such as Disney, Knotts, shopping, Honda and Convention Centers, plus a variety of food within an easy walking distance across the parking lot. Let alone the staff is awesome! And the price point is amazing! They also have a great pool, and fitness center.
The Staff at this Marriott is AMAZING! The room was what I have come to expect from a Marriott, simple and clean. It was a perfect place to stay with my wife and our two young children. This hotel sticks out for its exceptional staff! I have never encountered such friendly and helpful staff as I did during this stay. The staff went above and beyond to make sure my family had a comfortable stay! We loved our time at TPS and will be returning for our next Disneyland Trip!
Every staff personnel I encountered were friending and welcoming. There were no major issues during my stay. Maybe a lack of towels when housekeeping came in midday but other than that, everything was great. Even breakfast was exceptional. The only concern I would have would be the size of the lobby area to sit and enjoy your breakfast which is quite small and limited but not a big deal. I just took my breakfast back to my room.
The accommodations were perfect for what we needed. The front desk staff excellent. I took my grandkids to Disneyland and we took a Lyft each day that was almost the same price as three bus tickets would have been...range $6.60 to $8.50 each way. Slight mold smell in the two bedrooms seemingly due to the A/C units. Could have been a little cleaner. Sofa sleeper needed to be replaced badly. Solved the problem by putting the mattress on the floor. Breakfast was served by 6:30 am and included To Go boxes so we could get to the park early. Great trip!
We came to celebrate my husbands birthday by spending a couple of days to see the Los Angeles Angels play. We arrived early to the hotel and were immediately made to feel welcome. It was too early for check-in (which was ok), but we were able to leave our bags at the front desk and walk to Angels stadium to view the stadium and watch the game. When we got back to the hotel to check in, we were all set AND our bags were waiting for us in our room! Lots of families were there for their Disneyland adventures, but we were there for baseball! :) Great location. There are a few restaurant choices nearby - all within walking distance. The continental breakfast is standard fare with fresh fruit. The pool is great. Theres a laundry facility and two workout rooms. Everything was up-to-date. You can tell they take pride and great care with this hotel. They hit a home run with us! We would absolutely stay here again!
Our family stayed for eight days in a double-queen room with a full kitchen while on a trip to Disneyland. Overall it was an excellent experience. We took two off days as well, hanging out in LA and at the pool (which was great).PROS:- EXCELLENT staff. Everything from check-in to checkout, including every interaction in-between, was positive. We have stayed at many hotels for work and fun, including many that are nicer or higher end, and rarely gotten such great, friendly, positive, helpful service.- The kitchen was great - everything we needed for breakfasts, dinners, and prepping lunches for the park. It made the trip much better!- The room was clean, beds comfortable, and housekeeping staff were great.- The pool and hot-tub were fun on our off days- Free breakfast- Close to local restaurants- Clean!- On-site laundryCONS:- Slight musty smell in bathroom/washroom area (not a deal-breaker but a little odd at first)- The fitness center leaves a lot to be desire (a few older machines; no free weights or resistance options)THINGS TO KNOW:- If you are going to Disneyland, it is a bit long to walk. (We walked twice and it was about two miles - normally thatd be fine but youre on your feet so much at the park...) However, the Anaheim Resort Transit (ART) shuttles run every forty minutes starting around 0730 in front of the hotel. Staff were very helpful. (We also used Uber which was just as cheap as ART.)LAST WORD:- Again, I cant stress again how great the staff were.
Staff was friendly. Great breakfast. Rooms were nothing fancy, but alright and the beds were comfortable. Pictures on the website are a little deceiving. Tiny workout room, theres a mirror in the background that makes it look bigger. Rooms on pictures look a bit more updated. Small pool. Clean, but even with bedrooms you can hear hall noise. Loud air conditioners that caused the picture to vibrate against the wall in the one room. But, it was nice they had an air conditioner in each room as well as a TV. Handy to have a kitchenette since we made our own sandwiches each day before venturing out. Pretty easy commute to Disney from the hotel or there was a city bus you could take just outside the hotel, if desired.
I have been staying with Marriott pretty much my entire life, and this was the first time I was really disappointed. From our room looking dirty and worn down, to a musty odor that covered the entire suite it was horrible. Parts of the carpet in our suite were coming up and other parts were missing, this place looks like they tried to do a refresh with new paint but a full remodel is definitely overdue!Prior to check in at the hotel, we checked in on the app and requested the room be ready early as we were driving out from Phoenix and we wanted to freshen up before dinner with our friends. When we arrived, we were told that our room was not ready and it wouldnt be until 4 pm. I have never had an issue with getting a room early! We had reserved a room with a queen bed, but it was actually more the size of a full. On our second night, we came back from Disneyland to find that our new sheets had a brown stain on them. The front desk immediately sent up a housekeeper to change the sheets, but COME ON! you shouldnt be putting soiled linens on a bed, to begin with!I strongly encourage you to choose a different hotel!
I have been a loyal Marriott customer and even became part of the owner vacation club because of Marriotts excellent portfolio. But this particular property does not meet Marriotts standard at all. The properly needs someone who knows Marriotts standards. The paintings were unevenly hung, the bathroom tub needs scrubbing or better yet changing. The microwave was hung unevenly and the plate inside does not match the size of the microwave. Do not use the dishwasher, it was filthy.
We love staying here for our Disney vacations! Because it is a little further from the park, it is a quiet and relaxing place to come home to after a long day. The ART has 2 convenient stops so getting to the Parks is easy! There are lots of great dining options within walking distance, plus we love the ever changing breakfast TownePlace offers! The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is excellent! Even when booking, I had staff go above and beyond to assist with an issue before I was even a guest. We will be back!!
This place was wonderful. The staff was very nice and always made us feel very welcome. The room was clean, fully stocked, and comfortable. The hotel allowed me to bring my rabbit and miniature poodle without any problems. The breakfast was delicious and had plenty of variety. The dinning area is small but is fine. Everyone shares the tables and there were absolutely no problems. The wifi was excellent and I experienced no problems. I liked how the lobby offers two computers for guest to use. I havent seen that offered anywhere else so far. This is definitely a place I will stay again in the near future. The price was spot on and the place was fantastic. I thank everyone there for making my stay so welcoming and comfortable.
Cons: Breakfast area is incredibly small to the point where we are usually eating breakfast standing up. Bathroom wasnt very clean, bathtub was especially dirty, sink and tub were clogged when we arrived (fixed the next morning).Pros: Convenient location close to Disney with lots of restaurants within walking distance. The room amenities were good.
Cleaning staff was great and the room was clean. However, it desperatley needs updating. Our room was musty even after we left the windows open. The carpet was bare in some places and the appliances were old. The only exterior door that worked correctly was the main entrance. Neither of the two other doors worked with the key cards. One of the doors, that happened to be our emergency exit door, was actually padlocked closed until my husband mentioned it to the night manager. The pool was dirty on the bottom as well. Only one person to work breakfast on a super busy Friday morning so they were out of almost everything. Great location but not up to Marriott standards.
The hotel is very close to Disneyland resort area, a short drive or a walkable (although maybe not if tired) distance. The staff is friendly but slightly disorganized and the maids are quite noisy. There is a train that runs directly behind the hotel, rooms near the other end probably wont hear or feel vibrations from the passing train. Its not extreme, but it may be annoying to a light sleeper. The breakfast in the morning tastes great, a good solid selection and even teddy themed waffles for the kids. The selection doesnt change much day to day, but I have seen a limited variety of eggs in various forms. The rooms themselves are not as spacious as other hotels Ive stayed at with a similar layout, but are comfortable. The furniture and appliances are slightly dated and could use upgrading. I wouldnt call the hotel a category 6 (as advertised on the Marriott page), closer to a category 4...but the hotel is clean and safe and great for families. If the rooms rate is comparable to others, definitely a safe choice. If cheaper options with similar amenities can be found, perhaps look elsewhere.
Commuting twice or more a month here, our corporate gave us a list of 4 places to stay, and this by far is the best. Its well appointed, including breakfasts and a fitness room, and comfortable. Youll find everything you could need in the kitchen and bath, just like home. Location is NOT on top of a freeway, a lot more quiet than most, and the prices are extremely competitive. This place I love because its tucked away, safe, and has many dining establishments within walking distance across the large parking lot. Right on a major street with busses, you can walk to many conveniences, as well as the major train/bus station right in back of Anaheim Stadium.
The customer service was great! The staff was very friendly and assisted us with all our needs. Unfortunately, they could not resolve the humidity issue even after we switched rooms. We tried two different 2-bedroom suites. The A/C units work as far as cooling, but they do not condition the air to take out humidity. We did not spend too much time in the rooms except for sleeping so it was ok, but they should upgrade the units. The furnishings are a little worn/outdated, but that did not affect our stay. The suite had enough room for the 6 of us, the breakfast fit our needs, the pool was refreshing and the ART bus was convenient to use although sometimes 5 - 10 minutes late. Would recommend it for families on a budget who wont spend much time in the room.
Our family stays at this hotel each year for a weekend event. The rooms are always clean, and they dont have that musty smell that some rooms tend to get. We get the 2 room suite and its more than enough room for our family of 5. The tvs work properly, the beds & pillows are comfortable, and the air conditioner works too! The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. The kitchenette is stocked with everything needed to cook and refrigerate. The perk we love the most is the free parking with plenty of parking spaces available. You dont have to walk far to get to any room in the hotel. There are lots of food choices within walking distance as well.
We were in RM. 320, a two bedroom suite. It had a terrible musty, mildew Snell... Very strong. There was no way to hang out comfortably in the room. The furniture was worn out, things all seemed very damp. We asked to be moved, but the other room smelled just as bad!The pool was fine, breakfast was pretty lame, and there was not enough seating to accommodate all guests in either the pool or at breakfast! When we complained upon check out, they comped us 50%. It was still terrible.
As a Marriott Bonvoy/Starwood Preferred guest owner, this hotel is ideally situated for attending baseball games at Angels Stadium. You can literally walk to the ballpark in roughly 10 minutes, and the amenities, whether it be a pool, hot tub, fitness center, lobby computer, complimentary breakfast , late night snacks in the lobby are sufficient enough for the price and/or points to make it a very good stay. The beds are comfortable even though my preference is a King size bed instead of a Queen. Im not sure if this hotel offers King size beds, but nonetheless, I slept well. The only improvement is to have the water pressure on the shower be greater instead of a slow spray of water.
I had a very nice stay at the TownePlace Suites Anaheim Maingate Near Angel Stadium (whew!). I was a bit hesitant as to what to expect due to some reviews that seemed to indicate the rooms were not clean, staff not nice, etc. I am happy to say I did not have any negative experiences. From the staff, the cleanliness of the room, the full kitchen, free wi-fi, free parking and a reasonable price, I felt I got my monies worth. And, the breakfast was quite a spread. From fresh, you make yourself mickey waffles, muffins, bagels, wheat bread, cheese, fresh boiled eggs, sausage, fresh fried eggs, yogurt, variety of juices, and on, the variety was great. I plan to stay again in the very near future!!
What made this place memorable for my family and I was their amazing staff. The staff were always happy and very helpful, especially Jasmine, shes great! We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite, and our room was always clean. It was nice having to go boxes for breakfast, ive never seen that done at a hotel before. The little store they have really made things convienient for us. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Anaheim, CA.
Not the worst experience ever. We couldnt check in to our room early in the day, the lady at the desk said wed have to wait until 4pm. We had plans for that afternoon/evening and wouldnt be back to the hotel until late at night. So no showers before we went out for our special occasion so that was kinda gross and unpleasant. The room was beautiful and clean. The housekeeping staff were incredibly courteous and friendly. The location was ideal because everything we were doing during our stay was a short walk or quick Uber ride away. I would definitely stay here again.
The room was very nice. The hotel is walking distance to the Anaheim Angels and numerous restaurants. Continental breakfast was excellent both days. Last but not least, Joy must be the best front desk person weve ever dealt with. She was extremely friendly and helpful.
Great hotel. I would recommend it to anyone. The staff was professionally helpful and efficient. They really surprised me when they made the hide a bed and put my daughters stuffed animals on the pillows for her. I was also pleasantly surprised when they did the dished we had left when we rushed out the door to go to Disneyland. Easy 5 stars and I wish I could give at least one more.
House-keeping, Staff, and Maintenance are pretty good and well done. This hotel is a must-try if you want to relax and take your time. With family, kids and even dogs you will be happy here and you gonna feel comfortable and at Home.About the housekeeping, most of the time Rosa was cleaning the 4th floor, I can tell you that she made an amazing work, when I come back after she had clean our room we were so much satisfied by the freshness of the room and her sympathy, its like we were coming in our room for the first time whereas she only had 15 minutes to clean the room and the bedroom. She offered us gift for our dog and sweets when I was sick. She was very attentive to all our needs and so much friendly, even if she left the Marriott to another hotel shes actually teaching to other housekeeping her knowledge so you can expect the same for the length of your stay.
I always book for marriott because of the convinience of having my family and my inlaws staying in one hotel. We usually get a two bedroom suite. This hotel was great bec of the price is cheaper than having 2 separate rooms. With free breakfast, free parking and wifii. Plus we get to cook simple meals or have pizza delivered making our trip easier. The pool is clean i like the fact that its not too big. There is a grill there that guest can use.It would be nicer to have a small pool for toddlers. There is laundry area as well.
Our room was very clean and very quiet. Its a close walk to a few places to eat and right down the street from the Honda center. They have a good selection of snacks if youre just looking to stay in for the night. We enjoyed the fact that they have a grilling station and supplies if you plan on grilling.
We traveled with 8 family members, 2 of which were kids. The rooms were very clean. We asked for towels several times and got them with in minutes! The continental breakfast was very good. Waffles, muffins, fruit, bagels, coffee, milk and juices. The staff is very friendly!I wish I was notified about the incidental charges when I made the reservations, rather then when we were checking in. Also, the only dryer machine that did not have an out of order sign on it did not work. It turned on but no heat what so ever!We would stay here again.
We had a 2brd suite where all the curtains in the room and living room area were falling apart. The bathroom laminate flooring near the shower was separating from the adhesive and bubbled throughout the length of the shower about a foot outward. We were in an ada room where the shower equipment was rusted. 1st room we checked into had graffiti on the windows, we then moved to the 2nd floor where the above review applies. Bedding seemed it was not washed for months very dusty. I decided to try this property because it was a Marriott BUT!!!! no way will stay on this property again nor recommend it. The only thing this property has going for it is their awesome staff that was very pleasant and accommodating.
Staff is very friendly. The hotel is very busy, though, at full capacity every night we stayed. We were there for a 7 night stay in July 2017, as part of a group. We had several families from a sports team all staying at the same hotel. The price could not be beat. The hotel was clean. The staff were great, but with it being so busy, it can get hectic. We ran out of toilet paper in our room (no spare left under the sink) and it took three phone calls and three visits to the front desk (over two hour time period) to get a new roll. Requesting more towels for our room or for the pool also seemed to take a long time. But, like I said the hotel was at full capacity in July in southern California. The buffet breakfast was adequate and expected for a hotel like this. There isnt a lot of table room to eat breakfast, but you can also bring it back to your room to eat. The staff are always available to re-stock any empty items and always with a smile. The minor issues with waiting for toilet paper and towels were minor inconveniences for a hotel at this price that included free parking, free wifi and buffet breakfast that was so close to Angels Stadium and Disneyland!
This hotel is decent, but there is nothing too special. The bathroom was a little more basic than I would like, but it was fine. The breakfast was disappointing and basically consisted of bread or bread-like products. The location is outside most of the interesting areas, but there is a pay shuttle to bring you to Downtown Disney if you are so inclined. I decided to walk, which is about 3 miles but a VERY long walk due to all the intersections you must cross. Overall, it was a decent stay but not memorable or special in any way.
I’ve stayed here for several weeks this past year and this place is my favorite by far. They’re often sold out and for good reason!! It’s tucked away yet close to freeway, shopping, and work (I travel to corporate office in town). I see shuttles to Disney and shopping, food court on other side of parking lot including a Denny’s. Other dining close by. Staff is the best you’ll ever find here!! I highly recommend and have stayed at various other hotels in town when this place is booked. They just don’t come close to quality, and most are right next to a freeway which means loud! I always try to book early so can stay here.
The front desk was so great to me!! Best free breakfast Ive had at a hotel before. So awesome. Could have healthier options in the market. Gym was terrible... small, creepy, treadmill didnt work, dated elliptical, room was just perfect for my stay. Couldnt figure out how to work the AC first couple days. Very clean. Love the kitchen, love the desk, bed so comfy! Great stays!
The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. The room had what we needed and the pool/jacuzzi was clean and well maintained. This hotel also was in a good location to attend Disneyland. However we were extremely disappointed with the breakfast and that the internet wifi was out.
Made reservations for a 2 bedroom suite 3 weeks in advance. Called ahead a week before, and a day before to let the hotel know that we will be arriving after a late party, so we will be checking in after midnight. The hotel did not have the room we booked, had no other rooms for us, refused to lower the price for a smaller room and when we asked why the room was not ready, the guy at counter said the room is dirty and they are understaffed, so they cant get it ready for us. What is the point of a reservation and warning of a late check in if the reservation is not kept and the late check in is ignored? It wouldve been at least okay if they gave us another comparable room, lowered the cost for another smaller room, or had another room booked to a sister hotel nearby, but nope. No refunds, no change of rooms, and no one will be cleaning the room. First and last time I ever go to a Marriott by my own choice.
Our pleasant experience began with a very competitive price, and then, the cordiality with which the staff made it possible for us to enter our room at 8:30 AM, after a 4 hour trip from Fresno. The front desk staff was pleasant and accommodating. The room was a kitchenette with all of the equipment functional, allowing us to have microwaved frozen foods in our room. The TV set was a flat screen and the variety of TV programs was good, with a sleep timer on the TV set. The morning breakfasts included a nice variety of food, completely satisfying, and the staff went out of their way to provide take out containers for the breakfast items when my wife developed a cold and needed to eat in our room. The bed was comfortable. This was not only good value but enhanced by thoughtful courteous staff who took pride in their work, and conveyed a welcome that enhanced our stay.
This hotel has a great location! It is near Disneyland (there is an ART stop right in front of the hotel. There are a number of restaurants nearby. However, the hotel itself needs some work. The rooms are outdated and in disrepair. Our room had torn up carpet, a ripped and dirty pull out sofa mattress, the bathtub surround had been resurfaced, but the material had come off, and the room felt dirty. Also, the pool needs to be resurfaced. The lobby area is fine and the free breakfast was great! With some work this could be a great place.
Ive stayed here in the past, and loved it so much I recommended it to friends and coworkers. But this place has been allowed to go a few too many years without a refurbishment. Worn and stained furniture, drawers that dont open, doors hung at an angle, pet damage to walls and doors, bathtub that doesnt drain, thats rusted and dirty. (lack of) Staffing issues. Sad because its in a great location, and the room sizes they offer are great for families.
We stayed two nights and although we didn’t use the Kitchen it was nice to have available. The breakfast had something for everyone and made it easy to get the day started. It is a short walk to the Angel Stadium which is a great venue and a ton of fun to visit. It is also very close to Disneyland - just a short drive or bus ride. The staff is very friendly and the beds were comfortable. We would definitely stay again.
Start with the staff. They were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was average and what you might expect for a free buffet type breakfast. The room were dated and the furniture was older and scarred. Bathroom floor tile bubbling up and the toilet was very low profile. Stove was scarred and dirty. Room was very noisy and people in room above clomped around and sounded like they may come thru. HBO didnt work anytime during the three night stay. I considered it a very poor value and not up to Marriott standards and I dont think it should be a cat 5. First time at Towne Suites and probably be my last.
Absolutely love this property and their staff. Joy At the front desk greeted me right when she saw me. My room was just right from the a/c set on and a night light, on for my late arrival. Room was well maintained. Awesome breakfast! Will definitely be back and recommend this property.
Great value for a family needing a 2 bedroom suite!!! Great location in Anaheim! Neat and clean! Very comfortable beds! Absolutely the most friendly and helpful staff I have ever experienced (5 different staff members encountered during our stay.) We only needed to stay one night but the accommodations would be great for a family on an extended stay (kitchen for having meals in). It made us want to come again for a longer stay in the LA area for a family vacation someday! The breakfast was good with many choices but not fancy, and the dining area is a bit small and congested but very clean and neat! The breakfast staff was over the top cheerful and helpful and attentive!
I stay here pretty much weekly for the past several months. I could stay other places, the area is full of smaller hotels, however, this place is clean, not on top of a freeway, friendly, well appointed with kitchen, sofa, private, and quiet. I can really rest here and yet its so close to everything I need, shopping, food, etc. Great place to stay if youre in the area for Disney, the Stadium or Honda Center, due to it being walking distance to both the stadium and Honda, great public transportation, train station right across from Honda, theres just so much around, yet its tucked back in a corner so its quiet and not on top of the freeway. Rooms are big, well appointed, and the beds are extremely comfortable.
I have stayed at the Marriott TownePlace Suites for work for the better part of 4 and a half years. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The rooms are always clean and the furnishings are brand new or in great shape. The staff really works hard to keep this hotel clean and in good order. Since I have been there they are always updating furnishings.I really enjoy staying at these hotels and hope to continue to do so in the future. They are the first ones on our companies list of prefered hotels.
I have stayed at several Marriots and other hotels. I have never left a bad feedback on of them because overall they have met or exceeded expectations. However this is an occasion I would say needs attention. I stay for 4 to 5 day visits several times a year with my company. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had. My room smelled bad.......The appliances were dirty and rusty, and the hallways and entry ways were very dirty as well. Trash was overflowing and stunk. I was very disappointed in my stay and would not stay there again.
The only positive thing about this hotel was that the staff members were friendly. Anaheim PD were in the parking lot responding to a disturbance call when I arrived. Random people were milling around the parking lot all day and night. Rooms are run down. Ive stayed in worse places, but this hotel definitely isnt what youd expect from a Marriott property.
I am very impressed with this Townplace Suites. I am staying for 10 weeks, there is plenty of room even in the studio room. The closets are amazing, they even provide a laundry basket. There is plenty of storage and space. Ive stayed at a Residence Inn for 3 months and felt cramped and bought hanging selves for the closet to have enough room. No worries here!! Staff has been wonderful as well. The location is great, waling distance to Honda Center, Angeles Stadium and if youre up for a 2 mile walk, Disneyland, but if not its only one quick bus ride away.
When I first got there to check in, there were people complaining about not getting towels when their room was cleaned. Then the next day after my room was cleaned I had to call to get me towels because none were left or replaced. I would think after theyve been told about this that it wouldnt happen, but it did. I just didnt appreciate that. Breakfast wasnt bad, had a few options. Exercise room was disappointing because there were no weights or lifting machines. Also, fairly warm in there. Not my favorite stay with Marriott hotels.
We stayed here for a week. The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. They directed us to the best way to get to Disney, as well as how to get our tickets. Housekeeping always did a great job cleaning our room around our daily schedule. Breakfast was always good, whether you want something warm our cold. Will definitely be coming back here to stay again!
Older, but fairly well maintained. Free breakfast nothing special, but good to have something readily available..and it is free. We were on the first floor, street side of the B Building, but very little traffic so absolutely no traffic noise problem. But there can be foot noise from the 2nd floor depending upon the occupants.Easy 10-minute walk to Angel Stadium. If driving, 10-20 minutes to Disneyland. There is an ART shuttle stop (ARTIC route 15) to Disneyland at the hotel, but if missing the shuttle, it could take another 30-40 minutes for the next. BUT, there is another stop a couple minutes walk across a parking lot by Dennys on Katela which the shuttle stops at on its way back to Disneyland. You can text the stop number to get an ETA (the stop number at the hotel is wrong). Still, the ART website provides ETAs for various routes and an interactive map. We never waited more than 10 minutes at any stop for the shuttle. The ART map was great. The rooms have a kitchen, but there are a number of fast-food and higher end restaurants within a few minutes walking distance from the hotel.Overall, it was a very convenient and problem-free place to stay.
This hotel use to be good, now it’s just a giant JOKE! Could not check in until 10pm because the rooms weren’t cleaned! How about hire more housekeepers? Save a buck so your guests have to suffer. Real nice Marriott. I stay at this hotel multiple times a year but this is the last straw! My large groups of friends and I will never be staying here again. I heard MANY others say the exact same thing after dealing with this nonsense! Check in time says 3pm so why aren’t any of the rooms ready at that time! BEWARE OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT!
Great! And its near the L.A. Angels stadium. You can walk there in 15 mins! They have a convenient pantry with drinks and snacks at the front desk (for a fee but not expensive) and a small kitchen in the rooms with a full sized fridge. There is a heated pool and jacuzzi but I didnt get a chance to try them. If in the area I would definitely stay with them again. I should mention the room was very clean and nothing was stained. Nice modern furniture and no smells in the room. This was a great stay.
The staff was nice and friendly during our stay which is the Marriott way. Lacked some services, maybe hire more housekeeping to clean the rooms as fast as possible during the busier times. Having more front desk staff as well as you can’t make the girl who check ins people by herself. Need another staffer or two to make the breakfast as people were crowding up for breakfast as they’re ready to eat for Disneyland. Also maybe open the breakfast a half an hour early for people going to Disneyland early for their magic hour and making the bus on time.
The front entrance is hard to find. Common areas were well worn. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The free breakfast was unappealing but a Starbucks, Dennys and Carl Jr are nearby. Many families; it is located near Disneyland. I did not see a shuttle or courtesy car. Walking distance to the baseball stadium. Not recommended for a business stay. Price was reasonable.
Was in town for the Monster Jam show that was at the Angel Stadium. This hotels location was great for the area. We were easily able to walk to the stadium from the hotel. Also, we were able to walk to the Anaheim train station in about 20 minutes. The moment we walked through the front doors it was an extremely pleasant experience. The front desk rockstar, as they like to be called :), that was on duty when we checked in was amazing. I really appreciated her service. I wish I knew her name so I can give her shout out but she was on the evening shift Saturday, Feb 9.The room was clean and comfy. The bed was extremely comfortable where my wife woke up the next morning complementing it.Overall, the experience was great and absolutely recommended this location.
Well-priced for its quality, amenities, and location. Its a 5-10 min drive to Disneyland, but what disappointed me was that the hotel used to offer a free shuttle to and from the park, but no longer does. If you have more than 3 people, Id recommend just driving and paying $15 for parking rather than paying $5/person for the tram that runs from local hotels to Disneyland. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and I love that theres tea, coffee and hot chocolate available at the lobby at all times. The rooms are decently sized and have pull-out couches to accommodate a family of 4 if need be. Full kitchen too! The free breakfast had a great variety of food, which is another major plus about this hotelOverall, Im happy with what I paid and what I got for it, and Ill likely stay here again for a Disney trip. Would recommend for someone doing the same.
The room is spacious and nice enough, but it wasnt ready on time (after a long flight, having to wait that extra hour and change feels pretty rough) and there was an unpleasant smell that I can best describe as humidity in every part of the suite. Breakfast is good and the service is timely. I suppose that for most, this this is a great place to stay at a very fair price, but that has not been our experience.
Being away from home on business always has its negative aspects, but, having friendly faces & helpful staff helps take some of the stress out of your day. Thank You for providing great service & help with the everyday tasks that, otherwise, would have presented a challenge in themselves. Being able to have a hot meal to start the day was a great addition to a wonderful stay with people who seem to truly care how your visit is going. Thank you for a great experience. I will recommend this hotel to others needing to stay in the Anaheim area.
This place is within a five minute wait to Angel Stadium with a number of decent dining options on the way. The hotel was clean, organized and the staff was competent and very friendly. They aim t please. Every request is treated promptly and respectfully. 20 minute drive from Long Beach airport and very close to Disney World with a shuttle that stops next to the hotel.
Decent hotel with friendly service but underwhelming breakfast and some very thin walls. Our first room was connected to the adjacent room with just a wooden door and we could hear every word the other guests said (loud and clear) so we asked for another room. The front desk was accommodating and switched our room but never apologized for or really acknowledged the inconvenience. The tv in the new room pointed away from the bed but the dresser was easy enough to move to face the bed. Otherwise, it was comfy, clean, and enjoyable to stay in.
I’m am Marriot bonvoy customer and have never received such poor service in my life. The front desk said they wouldn’t take my Key Bank MasterCard because it was an online bank. Single parent with 2 young kids left looking for another hotel on July 4th weekend. Unbelievably poor service.
Great value without loosing quality and comfort! Spacious Suites that accommodate the extra space we need with teenagers with 3 televisions with cable channels, 2 very comfortable beds, sofa bed, kitchenette, living and dining separate areas and windows that open for fresh air or good ole running a/c and heat! The pool is just right with even a thoughtful tub of pool toys to use on behalf of Towne Suites! The jacuzzi was great, too! Of course, the best is always the amazing customer service at check in and check out that makes our stay very smooth and the free daily breakfast is great!!
Pros:- Staff- Location- Food OptionsCons: RoachesIve spotted 1 roach in my room initially didnt pay attention killed it. Its California it can happen, later on Ive spotted 2 more roaches in the room. Went to the front desk they changed my room when I went to pick up my stuff I saw some more roaches. My last day in my new room Ive spotted a roach anyway glad Ive checked out. I actually have a video of one of the roach but looks like the review only accepts pics
Stayed in Building 2. The elevator floor was all sticky and very dark, almost like a hospital basement. Paper towel traces littered the halls of the building. Found our room, and the door was propped open but no one inside and no house cleaning traces. No clue why still, but bugged me nonetheless.Room wise all was good until ... smoke alarms repeatedly going off in the middle of the night in all rooms of our suite. No smoke, no fire, no anything. Manager came late at night to acknowledge yep they were going off. Called back and forth with maintenance and then removed the smoke alarm from main room almost an hour later. Then noticed the air conditioning in the main room broke and leaked all over the floor. The next morning, the smoke alarms went off again. When asked to fix the smoke alarm from the main office, the question, Do you want it fixed now? Was asked while the alarm was just ringing constantly for no reason again.
The price point for this hotel was good but you always get what you pay for and this hotel did not strengthen the Marriott name. Hotel was outdated and did not smell fresh, there wasnt enough room for the breakfast crowd, the rollaway bed was extremely uncomfortable, and the gym did not have any weights and in my opinion was inadequate. On the upside the staff was extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful and tried to solve problems. I would have to be on a very very tight budget to want to stay there again.
The staff was friendly, the location was good and it was a good value. The rooms are somewhat small but still have a full useable kitchen, parking was free, and there was free breakfast. Those are hard to find this close to Disneyland. Some minor things though like the bathroom door doesnt have a lock. Also, our room had a pull out couch but when used there was no room between it and the bad making it hard to move around the already small room. Also, the TV had poor reception on many channels that would come and go. All in all I would say this is a decent room for 2 people, bringing a family would be tough but doable if on a budget. Decent place if not spending anton of time in the room.
Our stay was awesome. The rooms were clean, the staff very friendly, the beds were very comfortable and all appliances worked well. The drive to the Disneyland parking lot was not far at all. The hotel doesnt charge for parking like other hotels near the resort. You can also take a shuttle for a very low cost but we decided to take our own car.
We stayed in a 2BR suite for 2 nights. The staff was friendly upon check in. The suite had a nice kitchen that was stocked with everything you needed to have a long stay. The furniture was newer and trendy. The breakfast was a surprise, it was a nice hearty meal with oatmeal, eggs, waffles you can make yourself and a coffee bar. Great location to Angels stadium. It was very clean. The entire room seemed to have been updated except for the shower.
I had to relocate and wanted a reputable place with nice amenities. The Marriott brand has that reputation and I also get Marriott points here! The rooms are clean, spotless, and roomy. I enjoyed having a small kitchen to cook in. They even provided dish soap and dishwasher soap, paper towels and condiments. The staff is friendly and helpful with requests. There is 24 hours desk with staff to help out in any way needed. It is convenient that they also have a small market to purchase snacks, frozen dinners and last minute forgotten items. I used the laundry room to catch up on some cleaning of my clothing. The bathrooms are large and have a hair dryer, soaps, and shampoos. The overall stay was relaxing. Outdoors they have a pool and a barbeque grills for guests to use. I highly recommend this hotel for a long term stay.

2022-06-15Several years ago, when my children were quite young, we stayed at this hotel for a trip to Disneyland and it was wonderful. We decided to come back to this hotel and stayed in a 2 bedroom suite (because that works for my family) for a week in October 2021. I was incredibly surprised at how run down this hotel was! The carpet was literally ripped and falling apart. The room was quite dirty (I wiped it thoroughly with sanitizing wipes due to Covid concerns, and was shocked at how dirty it was). We literally felt like the entire room was falling apart. Trim was falling off the walls, the carpet was filthy, the bathroom was in poor condition, and the beds were not comfortable. We had to ask for more towels (we only had two, and the reservation indicated 4 guests in a 2 room suite), and we had to ask again twice for towels because they were never delivered. I understand that the rooms were not being cleaned during a stay, but we asked for our trash to be removed twice during our stay, and it was never done. The pool was not clean and to top it off, the day of check out, there was a domestic dispute outside our window (not the hotels fault of course) but overall supported the vibe of the hotel. I will not return to this hotel.

2022-05-25Overall pretty good and an OK deal.-1 star for Marriott’s reservation line, which I specifically used over the website so I could have a note added to my reservation asking to place my room close to another reservation. Come check in, they didn’t have the note in the system and I had to say the first night in a different building. The staff were very kind and worked to make it right though, getting me the right room for the remainder of my stay. The hotel itself is OK, the beds were nice and noise levels were fine.

2021-12-14We stayed here in October, couldnt beat the price with free parking & breakfast! The room was a 2 bedroom suite. It was very run down & yes...the hotel could use a face lift bad! But the beds were comfortable & it was a comfortable place to crash after a day at the parks. Breakfast was the same thing every day, but it was a hot free breakfast so who cares! Staff was always kind & pleasant. Room service was only done if requested. Ultimately yes, the rooms are run down & need a good cleaning. But $800 for a week with free parking & breakfast near Disneyland wasnt too bad! Id stay here again I think.

2022-05-07Overall the experience was very disappointing. Room cleanliness is highly questionable. The shower was clogged with hair from previous visitors. The floors may not have been vacuumed as there were leftover peanut insides. The gym in the 2nd building does not seem to vent. The A/C was set to max at 60 degrees but the room was like a sauna. The window in the room was blocked from opening. Couldnt finish my workout as it was too much. Free breakfast was fine though missed the mark of what I expected based on other experiences with this hotel brand.

2022-07-02I travel to various brands throughout the U.S. I have Platinum status. This hotel is the bare minimum for the lowest of Marriott brands. Travelled this time with my family of 6. Room is terribly dated and just all around dirty. Needs new carpets (feet are black after walking on it). Black mold on bathroom ceiling. Beds are dated and SUPER uncomfortable. Pull out mattress has urine stains. Electrical outlets that cause the side table light to flicker and lose power intermittently. The ONLY reason this gets the 3.8 on their ratings is because of location/proximity to Angels stadium (walking) and Disneyland (short drive). If you don’t mind being charged for a MUCH higher quality hotel and living in filth, this place is for you! Next time we will stay farther from our destination and make sure the rating is accurate based on the actual hotel, and not just its proximity to locations.

2022-06-21Once we got to our room the towels seemed like some messed with it. We were missing a few towels and the bathtub towel was already placed on the ground like someone showered before we got there. The floors seem like it hasn’t been vacuumed before we got there. The kitchen sink had chocolate in it. The pull out couch bed sheets wasn’t replaced and on the extra sheets and pillows they usually have stored in the closet had lipstick on it. The a/c sounded like it was dying. It was set at 65 degrees, but it felt like it was 75 degrees. Only good thing about it was the front desk workers. Very pleasant.

2022-03-17We had a great experience, and did not see or experience any of the recent complaints that may be listed in the “reviews”Here is why:Our room was clean and comfortable; no odors, no broken partsThe breakfast is rather good, considering we are just getting out of the mask mandates and Covid protocols.Paul was extremely with our late-night check in. He had been with Marriott properties for 13 years, and at this property for four months. He was very conscientious with our concerns (having read recent reviews) and he insisted we let know if we had any issues- we had no issues. The only noise was occasionally from the streets outside, and that is no reflection in the hotel.I witnessed the staff vacuuming the hall carpets and collecting trash as well. There are two buildings with rooms on the same property (see photo)We would stay again.

2022-07-07This place has a good variety of breakfast items that vary slightly every morning. The rooms are kept well with regards to linens and things but the floors are very dirty. We had a two bedroom with a kitchen and it did ok but I had to jimmy the stove to get the burners to work. Its within 2 Mike of Disney though and we saw a shuttle in the parking lot (we chose to drive and park though, so we didnt take the shuttle). Also there are a lot of good fast food nearby including Starbucks, Panda Express, Chipotle and my favorite, Daves Chicken. The pool was never crowded and was clean. No towels at the pool though. We stayed 7 days and I dont regret it as the price was reasonable and the coffee at the lobby was always fresh and hot.

2022-04-03I was honestly disappointed with the hotel, considering it carries the Marriott brand. The hotel is old and rather run-down, and in need of a renovation. There are lots of cracks in the paint and the corners of the walls look pretty dingy. This isn’t really a problem in and of itself, what really disappointed me was that the room wasn’t well cleaned. There were some things that looked like bread crumbs behind the sink faucet in the bathroom. All the counters in the kitchen and bathroom were visibly dirty and smelled like stale vomit, as if the cloths used to wipe the counters weren’t washed. The counters were exceptionally dirty in the kitchen. When I wiped all the countertops myself, the paper towel was very dirty. There were some ants running around the room too.The bathtub drain had a hard time draining, even though I was constantly clearing the drain cover, so water would pool while showering. The bath towels had stains, but some were light enough to pretend they didn’t exist. I stayed a whole week and 2 of the 6 towels we were given were stained too much to use.My room had a stale stuffy smell, which wasn’t too bad after running the AC and opening the windows. The bed was quite comfortable and the linens were very clean, but the headboard was very sticky.Sadly this hotel seems to only win in terms of price, as hotels in the area are quite pricey.

2022-06-25This hotel was overall fairly disappointing. Furnishings were fair although the sofa had some tears/wearing. The worst part was the services provided. We were informed we could ask for a “refresh” during our stay where we could get our room refreshed. I took that to mean an overall spruce up. What that actually meant was simply dropping off clean towels (not even hung on racks) and picking up towels left on the floor. It also meant, no bed making, no trash clean up, no replacement of toilet paper or dropping off shampoo/soap. We stayed for 6 nights while we were at Disneyland and by the end of 6 nights, our trash was literally overflowing and although I’d specifically asked for some attention to our room during our long stay, it was never done. Overall, great location from Disneyland with Ubers being about $11 back to hotel, but I’d have a hard time staying there again.
