Last night at the trouble window around 10:55pm the lady was rude, I informed her that Im canceling the transaction due to the pin wasnt matching with the container number, and she had an attitude towards me as if I know what she is asking. The thing is yall ask the question and we give yall the answer. In this case I went in with a Aim Chassis and turn back around. She said is there any other information I need to provide, i said Im just canceling the transaction. On the ticket shows that I came in with a Chassis how would I know that I need to provide her that information. She should of ask if I am going back out with the same Chassis. But she wanted to start arguing.
CY yard is pure chaos. Containers are loaded into pile different directions so you never know if you are facing the right way when picking up. Very often you have to wait in area blocks from your spot. Then if the ship is off loading into your waiting area you are force to move. Average duel transaction time is 2 to 5 hrs but I have spent up to 7.5 hrs. The loaded pile supervisor should be embarrassed. Oh and they have no pool chassis so you need to bring your own lease chassis or own chassis.
One of my preferred ports to work. Safety first. The majority of truckers dont adhere to the safety rules or systems in place of getting in and out with their loads or empties and cant speak English well enough to help. So, Im learning Spanish so I can better help them. TTI itself is one of the top ports and consistently busy which I like because the day goes by faster.
Update...I am remembering when all the white trucks came oit in a single line and went to their Transtainer. My point is it look organized, authorized, orderly, jist like its happening as. i am typing these words. What am example for those who do not follow the lines of authority. I follow the line bcs a driver cannot make mistakes.
It is NOT Hanjin according to clerk at the trouble window on the inside, also the clerk has a bad attitude of dont care and this is typical of Union workers, if they want people to stop mistaking it for Hanjin then they should repaint the yard equipment that prominently displays the Hanjin name and logos, they should also change the name of the road that leads into that port which happens to be Hanjin so everywhere you look it is Hanjin... except their building says total terminals...but nevermind everything else around that says Hanjin, what a mess that place is.
Ive been waiting on this crane to give me my load since 11:57 its now 4:15 and the cranes past by me 3 times already they clerk came and marked my truck but still nothing i tried calling and they say no customer service horrible horrible people cant believe this .by they way its row EE5
Hanjin shipping company is one of the biggest shipping companies in the world the access into the port 4 hanjin shipping is off the 47 and 103 take caution as the Port of Long Beach is under construction on a new bridge project in this area I go into these ports on a daily basis

2021-06-04Its a cool place to work. I usually work in the Tower with Judy and Angie and they are two of THE COOLEST Bosses on the Waterfront! They literally treat us like Family instead of employees. AND it doesnt hurt that Angie is Hπ₯T!!! Shes gonna KILL ME if the ever sees this! π¬π€¦πΏββοΈ

2021-10-071st time in got a very stern individual AT The gate pedestal. Worked it out but not a good way to start the 1st day into ports. Got in found my unload area by some common sense / blessed. Ran into a Clerk named DANNY. flagged him down he was amazing and helped me understand the ports inner workings for a few minutes. However if you see us flag ya down PLEASE SWING BY WE WILL BE OUT FASTER AND NOT CLOG UP THE PORT LOST.

2021-12-17Not bad. Older equipment(cranes)but still manageable and they get the job done. Weak steady top handler operators. Its not what you know but who you know. NEPOTISM.

2021-09-22You have to wear a mask when visiting the Trouble Window.Port Drivers show respect to these highly essential workers and they will also provide respect. This system will work when everyone works together.I believe their is only one Port of LA and One Port of Long Beach and we are Port Workers that give our time for the Supply & Demand of Goods & Services for the biggest Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the world.Thank you,Grajeda, HermanCTDP

2020-08-17This terminal is a scam they held my customers container hostage for an additional week in a closed area and tagged it for a last free day even though it wasnt even available and instead of extending the last free day they made me wait until it was available. Now I am trying to contact them via phone so our trucker can pickup and there is no answer and it goes straight to voicemail. Truly sickened by the amount of hoops I have to jump through just to get our container picked up and their employees really suck they wouldnt even get me in contact with a super

2021-10-1810/18/21Added two stars, from my previous post in 2020.They really fixed up all the issues I had.--------------2020 Google says last yearThe only terminal that I have to stay on the phone line for over 3hours.This happened to a minimum of 10times.So a total of 30hours ish in phone line.Did I ever mention sometimes they wont pick up your call after 2hours wait. Then you have to repeat the madness again the next day.
