Will definitely take my car back. Im new to San Diego. This place has good reviews so I went. Needed oil change and tune up. My check engine light was on but I totally forgot to ask them to look at it. They checked it before giving me my car back and fixed that too before I left.Parking and waiting room are basic and small. Tony does offer cold drinks and coffee and water. I couldnt work from here like Ive done at shops back home with larger waiting areas and WiFi but Tony will get you in and out as quickly as he can.
I am new to San Diego and tried out Tonys for the first time and was blown away! Victoria handles the front desk/phone and she is the sweetest person ever. She made me feel so welcome and was so nice to talk to. Tony and his crew fixed some serious problems with my car and he had a fantastic personality to boot! Not only that, but they took my car to a local car wash and gave me back my car freshly washed as a little surprise! I have never seen that kind of service before! Thank you for taking care of me and my car so well - I will be back :D

I always test my mechanics with an oil change first. Tonys price was unbeatable. Next when my check engine light came on he changed my air flow meter and its fixed! His team is fast and friendly so when it came time for my 100,000 mile maintenance theres no one else I trust. My truck runs like a dream with my new spark plugs! Thank you! Tony and his crew are the BEST! I took my truck (2014 f150 3.5L) yesterday afternoon ( 2:00 pm 10/15/2020) with a loss of power upon acceleration to his shop. By that afternoon (5:30 pm) I was able to speak with Tony and he told me exactly what the issue was. A electronic throttle body code was the culprit. By the next day, Friday ( 4:15 pm 10/16/2020), my truck was good to go. The out the door price was FAR BElOW what I thought it would be. Tony really takes the time to explain what the issue is and what you can expect to pay. My only issue is with leaving your vehicle outside his shop. Recommend taking it there during business hours. Tony saved my fishing tournament weekend from disaster. Highly recommend 10/10.

Honest and very reasonably priced. Been coming here for years. I take my car here for oil changes as well as anything mechanical. Always the best deals and Tony stands behind his work.Even if he cant help you, hell send you to someone who can. Been more than satisfied with all his recommendations. For example, he sent me to a tire shop to get 4 new tires on a Mercedes c250. Paid $200 out the door including installation.

He is very honest and knows pretty much everything about every vehicle Ive brought in from Subarus, to Ford fiestas, to classic Mercedez. He has a large network of shops that provide services that he doesnt like stereo work and tires. Hes the best.
I brought my first car to Tony back in 2014, when I used to live in San Diego. Now I live near LA and I still drive down there to bring my cars and my parent’s cars to Tony. There is no other mechanic I trust here in So Cal. He’s honest and treats you right, and of course he can fix any car.
Ive been taking my Audi here for years. The customer service cant be topped, and once its fixed, Ive never fails. Once and done every time. Tony is honest, and incredibly smart with engines. He will tell you exactly how your car is, and tell you exactly how to avoid future model problems (specific to your model of car). His crew is top notch, and everyone there works hard to insure everything is done in a timely manner. I recommend no one else, ever!
NO BS!!! I have been in the military for over 14 years and moved all over the country. Ive had several different cars and several different issues. Everything from timing belts to oil changes. Getting ready to move across country and have only been here a few times however this place is no joke. Tony will break down every cost of your vehicle and show you exactly what theyre doing. Ive only been here a short time. But Tony has already saved me hundreds of dollars and completed the work faster and any dealership in the area. After expressing the frustration I had been experiencing with my break lights to Tony over the phone he told me to come on in. He realized that my line for my back lights was cut ! He fixed my line, hooked me up with new bulbs, and fuses! When I was preparing to pay him, he said it was no charge I am so thankful and Tony has a lifetime customer with me. I went to several auto shops and called around different ones and they gave me Outrageous prices. For A tuneup for my f150 V8 until I called Tony. Even though I accidentally gave him wrong information. I thought I was driving a V6. He still didn’t try to over charge me when he came back and said “you’re truck is a V8” He made sure I understood everything he was going to do to my truck. He took his time with me and explained step by step what needed to be done and also what might go wrong. Like a spark plug breaking while trying to remove it. I felt safe and confident in his shop and around his staff. Now my truck runs smooth. Honest and friendly. 💞 Highly recommend.
Tony is honest and very friendly, the guys at the shop are also very professional and friendly. Its really convenient and genuine of them to give rides to those who will have their cars in the shop overnight. Dont know any other place that does that! Saves me money from ubering!:) Took my Subi here several times for different reasons and they get the job done everytime!:)
Ive used Tonys twice for my 2013 Subaru WRX. First time was a clutch replacement - price was great and clutch works. Second time, I hit an animal and an ABS sensor got ripped off of where it connects to the ABS computer (and AWD needs that.) Tonys guy remade that connection instead of replacing the whole computer and saved me a ton. It took a while but worked out great.
This is a great place to get a oil change, brake job, or even more serious automobile service or repair work. Owner Tony Sawaya is a really cool guy he will see to it that your car gets back to you in Tip-Top shape. Dont be afraid to visit and use Tony service. Ive been going there for over 10 years and always get good treatment and my car is always running good. A complete oil change runs about $27 for an average midsize or Economy Car such as a Toyota Corolla.
Good service, changed spark plugs with them for my Honda. Fast, minimum waiting time. Asked them how much they would charge for a new wiper that also needed to be replaced, the owner told me they dont have them, but if buy one they will do it free of charge.

Tony is amazing. I just moved to San Diego from Ohio and, as he says, he treats you like youre family. I took my car to Firestone and they claimed my brake lines and calipers were completely rusted out and needed to be replaced. Tony cleaned the lines and found only the front brake pads and rotors needed to be replaced, for a third of the price of Firestone. Im a customer for as long as Im in San Diego.
I went here 5 years ago and my brakes are still good as well as my belts. I will be going here again within the next month for struts and shocks. Very friendly and good prices!
We needed help and Tony helped! My wife and I bought a car and thought we should have it checked out before we gave the owner a check. We dont live very close and called all around. TONY said, Sure I can look at it but weve have to wait a bit because he was busy. I called other places and went to one place but thought, I will wait for TONY. We or I felt very comfortable with him and we decided lets let him look at it, so we waited. Tony throughly checked out the car and explained and showed me things I had concerns about. My wife and I left from Tonys place saying, he sure is a good guy. Really, we both said that. I told my wife, we need to write a review. He is honest and a great guy. My wife said, she would take her car to him someday. This is true.

This place is great, Tony is the man! I came here to address a self-inflicted vacuum leak with an aftermarket part. The guy at the counter was really nice and professional. I admitted it was my first visit, but their shop came highly recommended. Without any delay they introduced me to Tomy (owner) and even gave me a ride to and from my office. I cant say this en9igh, these guys are great, professional, and dont play games. I highly recommend taking your car here.
I have spent about 10k with tony over the past years and I feel that I have enough experience with this shop to provide a review. I took my Evolution into this shop due to having a positive experience with my STi back in 2009. My car was removed from storage after about 8 years and needed a good once over. A month after I dropped it off and 2k later, it was on the road. I dropped it off again a month later to get the inner and outer tie rods replaced which again took them a month to replace. This is an afternoon at best and an overnight after it goes into the alignment shop. I had to call about 3 or 4 times to get an update (did once before while the timing belt and other odd and end jobs were getting done) and usually didnt get much. I drove to the shop this time and was told it was at the alignment shop. Got a ride over there and picked up my car. My tie rod ends were still in the back seat. The car tracks strait but Im kind of wondering what took 28 days. One of the techs wanted the stock wheels that came with my Evo and I dropped them off with the car for the tie rod ends. We agreed upon a very reasonable price and it has been about 2 months and I have not heard anything back about getting paid for those. I have asked Tony in person (made a special trip there) and he has not called back. It is fine, if that is how transactions are completed at Tonys Lube n Tune I consider the loss of those wheels an investment, as I will not visit this shop with my other cars.Long story short: if you dont mind an insane wait, nobody knowing what is going on and nagging them for updates, you may or may not get your work done.I cant recommend this shop.

Looking for a no kidding honest mechanic? Tony is the real deal. He will never try to do work you dont need or ask for, and he will fix things if he makes a mistake. He once spent 4 hrs trying to figure out why my battery kept dieing, when he figured it out, there was no charge because he could not repair the cars security system that was causing the drain. I tipped the mechanic for his time.Down side: location. Hard ro get into, hard to find parking, and its too small for his quickly growing loyal customer base.

I’ve been taking my Silverado to him for 9 years now and my truck has lasted this long on the road because of his knowledge, care, and expertise. Tony will not BS you! 2021-05-17We love Tony. My husband and I have been coming to his shop for sometime now and we dont know of anyone else who wont charge us an arm and a leg for car service and repair. 2021-02-19I was in OB on vacation when I had unexpected car troubles. I was lucky enough to find Tony’s shop and instantaneously trusted this man. He is as the other reviews depict him; honest, trustworthy, and fair. He went above and beyond to help us out even though he knew we weren’t getting the work done at his shop. I only wish he and his crew were in arizona so he could be my mechanic! Shout out to Kelly for being such a joyful and incredible receptionist, she represents the business well!

2022-02-16Tony is the best & most honest mechanic I have ever been to. I have had all of the family vehicles serviced by him for over 10 years & he always treats me like family. Many family members also bring their cars and refer friends. I never hesitate to refer anyone to him and everyone raves about what a good job he does. I wish he had a bigger lot because he is always super busy, but he also always manages to squeeze you in & take care of you. He can diagnose any issues and he never up-sells you anything you do not need. Awesome guy! Quick oil changes w appointment!
