Ever since they realized that resellers show up here , they have raised their prices for over 50%, if i bought a shoe at 12.99 now it costs 24.99, its suppose to be a “GOODWILL” not to take advantage of the situation and maximize profits on donated items. comparing to Salvation army down the road a simple shirt is 1.99 at Goodwill expect to pay now 8.99 almost close to Retail new at store , i even asked an employer why were the prices so high and she agreed. who ever is in charge of pricing needs to be removed as they intend to sell near retail price
Those that are looking for some good quality of clothes for the kiddos and maybe yourself, this is the place to come, I have had the pleasure of coming in a couple times just to over see all the things to choose from, but I must say that your visit here, Im sure that you wont be disappointed, so try it out and tell your friend and family Im sure that they will make you feel welcomed just like they did me
This is the cleanest thrift store in Chula Vista! The store has all the clothing organized by size, unlike the other stores on Broadway, and the selection is pretty good. The only drawback is that prices are higher than the other stores, but then you do pay for quality. All the clothing I saw was clean, and the atmosphere was more welcoming. I havent been to thrift stores in Eastlake area so I cant compare, but on Broadway this store is by far the best!
Its always a good act to support charities... And Goodwill is one of my favorite charities. This store in particular has shelves well organized. The employees are very attentive. The articles are cleaned and ready to take them home. The parking is clean and fairly large. The location is easy to find and its fast to get in and out. Great overall shopping experience. Give it five stars 🌟.
Stopped by today to browse, did not find anything on this trip however, I must say that every time Ive been to this site it feels comfortable and inviting for shopping.Whoever is in charge of arranging merchandise displays really has a flair for making this location feel like an upscale shop. Making do with random items to highlight best of class and color coordination takes a real talent that should be recognized. I look forward to my next visit.
I love these doors and go there dropped my Goodwill take my donations off the back and walk around front door inside the store and do you have everything you could possibly need almost everything they have a lot of clothing some furniture little bit of appliances small kitchen appliances mostly no big appliances no washers and dryers to like that no stoves no refrigerators I do have a lot of clothing soothing shoes jewelry makeup Im seasonal items at Christmas items Easter holiday items you can use and a very cheap I found a nice pair of $150 pair of Nike shoes for twenty bucks could I be wearing and I love them
Excellent organization. Clean and easy to shop. There are even seasonal vignettes, probably for training the staff in the ways of retail. I see concerns with the staff in other reviews. Ive found them to be more pleasant than the typical staff at a Walmart or other mass merchant, but I dont expect high level service from a thrift store. Prices are higher than other thrift stores, so you pay a little for the staff training. Its still a fair value and mission.
It is always good and pleasant to go into this L Street Goodwill store theres always something that I really need and when it comes in hands you the Goodwill store has it I know that all customers have to go there or havent been there you will find what you at the Goodwill store
Since the renovation, they have absolutely raised prices. Its a flat cost based on the type of garment. The trouble is, a basic plain piece now costs as much as a designer, embellished, more complex piece. And vests are like, $7? Thats unreasonable. The atmosphere is excellent, but we shop here for the reduced impact on the environment, (reduce/reuse/recycle) and because our budget doesnt allow as much mall shopping. Why pass the renovation costs onto us? Ouch.
The 1 Star is for cleanliness they’re very clean and nice set up and because I can’t do 0 stars so I thought I highlight the only good thing about this place however they’re prices are terrible compared to any goodwill for a none profit organization why are you guys charging 60$ for a T-SHIRT!!!! That’s ridiculous y’all should change you’re name to second hand supreme full profit organization don’t you guys get this stuff for free I should know I donate regularly all t-shirts should be the same price all pants all shoes there should be no mark up stop being greedy goodwill you already get all kinds of goods for free!!!! Needs new management it appears the manager has forgot what makes goodwill GOODWILL!
If you would like to donate, I would not recommend this place, I used to donate at this place, multiple times a month, but todays experience was horrible. I literally brought like new rugs, we just replaced be because my wife did not like the new decoration fit, guy did not even look at them and said they wont accept worn rugs. I asked to take a look, oh boy he did not change his mind. I asked him that I have donate many stuff before and would like to have receipts for them, he said he cant provide me with a receipt, because he doesnt know if I really donate before. I asked what about the people who received the stuff from me, he said even those staff cant provide with a receipt... Good trust there!.... Selling them on offerup or craigslist (and donate the money to other organizations) or donate them as they are is way better than donating here at goodwill. Im not going back again there.
I love goodwill but this one sucks. Their prices are high and the quality of the items for sale is not so good. For example this goodwill had a Christmas tree stand for sale $7.99 and it was missing one spike, I went to the goodwill in Hillcrest same day, they had 3 different ones with all the spikes for $3.99. Hillcrest has name brand clothing for a good price. Unlike this location, which sells non-gently used sneakers for $19.99. Probably wont come back to this one.
I went in to this goodwill to buys some items, I bought 3 video games. 2 of them were 2.99 and one was 2.50, lucky enough the manager rung me up ( this lady with glasses, black hair), she was with another associate training her and the manager told the tranee ring them up for 2.99 each. I just asked the manager why am I getting charged 2.99 when on one of the games it says 2.50, the manager just said your lucky your just paying 2.99 wait what? The tag says 2.50. Im not going to argue with this person. This Manager needs to be demoted and trained in customer services and business. Im going to contact corporate about this individual. I go to multiple goodwills 2 to 3 times a week.
Overcrowded and overpriced. Bought a game here the 2nd disc was a completely different game (my fault for not doublechecking). If you are looking for a bargain, try elsewhere. Everything here just seemed like It was not a good deal. I frequent other thrift stores in the area and they are way better pricewise.
Good to be at one of our garden of the galaxy owned by Jack this production director of Hollywood an N.Y. studio asetionandriod creator blue girl gru muscle head an captain now that Im back from my deep space 9 program whats new🎥🇮🇹🇺🇸😷🌍🌎🌏 did u hero to day or villain .
Already the very expensive prices put prices as a new store can no longer low income go and buy a lot of people who would like to buy with you because the jente donates many things but with their birds is impossible precit good thanks I hope that those who handle these shops agan something and fast Ill give an example yesterday that I saw some broken wooden boxes Bosinas very deteriorated and cost 50dlls I asked the one who attended that price because they were broken and told me that it cost that if I did not want them and another person would come to buy them and if they do not throw them away, they will not get me just because they do not lower the price so that the people buy them and fix them because if they do not stay there and then throw them away instead of beating them a bit and not throw them thank you atte J.morgan
Its fine, the quality is fine and the variety ... the bad thing is when you go to the fitting rooms I mean to try on your clothes, people abuse by wearing many clothes to try on and also send one of their companions for more clothes and that is not worth it because were all waiting ... 😒

2022-04-21Great day to be at goodwill. Well organized and clean inside. If I had all day to look at every item in the shore I would. I really enjoy when people donate things that are in great shape and not something that is falling apart. Every time I donate something I ask myself would I buy this.

2022-05-03HIGH PRICED !! youd think they were doing you a FAVOR by selling used stuff for HIGH PRICES. Since they built their new building, they jacked up all their prices. Better and cheaper to buy new. I dont ever shop here anymore.

2022-06-10This has to be the most expensive Goodwills Store that I have ever been to, If the items are donated, they should not be sold as a retail value. The purpose of the donation is to help someone else with less income. The main reason why so many people visit the store is because of the proximity to TJ.

2022-01-21I really like this store. So far Ive had friendly interactions with the cashiers and the gentlemen that had taken my donations.Donating is super easy. Drive into the main entrance on Broadway, youll see large double doors behind some columns, just drive up and open your trunk. Someone will help you. But fyi they arent allowed to pick stuff up from your truck, so just hand them the boxes to them and let them know the general items that are in there. They will take everything in good condition, except mattresses and items like light fixtures.

2018-09-14Largest Goodwill store I have been to in San Diego. Very good selection of most items (mens shoes were in short supply), could have used more mens jeans. Very clean and organized.

2022-01-18I came in today some of there prices are so pricey they were not even name brands some from Walmart shirts that’s were $8.99 witch Walmart has it brand new for $4.99 I could not believe the price on the shoes as well so expensive with $10 to $15 dollars more you will get a brand new pair brand new I was going to purchase other clothes for my self and my kids and my husband I wanted to try on some shirts as I’m pregnant to find out there is no dressing room so I told them if they don’t fit can I get store credit I will not even mind getting store credit they said no all sale are final so I had to leave all my item there as I don’t have that kind of money to throw in the trash as being pregnant. I just don’t understand how they can say all sales are final as it’s used clothes it not even brand new or at least cheap on there there prices. So I left went to another thrift store we’re they did had returned if any items will not fit they will just issue me a store credit will not be coming back here lost a customer

2020-09-27Miss the Goodwill that was in front of Costco shopping center, they relocated to more bigger and modern facility. Miss good prices too, seems like they just reference their prices to online retailers. Every now and then a good deal comes up, but seems like thats just a distant memory. I understand their mission but prices just too high. Just today I found jar at TJ Max for $3 new, at Goodwill similiar item was $5.99 used. It has come to the point that pretty soon theyre going to start pricing shoes by the piece. They only lower prices when items sit there for weeks. My point is that its become harder to find values.

2021-12-21Bought a bunch of clothes yesterday. The dressing room is closed so wasnt able to try anything on. Only one of the 7 pairs of pants fit. Brought them back and was told no returns, exchanges, or store credit. Even though the dressing room is closed. Everything is final sale, which was not told to us during purchase.
