Brian has been doing my quarterly spray for quite a while now. Hes awesome! Hes especially patient. Im always running around with my hair on fire when he arrives. Josue Ruiz was the Rep from Thrasher and he did a thorough job explaining what he was going to do and answering my many questions. Just had a preventative interior spray with Mark, who has been helping me keep any unwanted critters at bay for a little over a year now. I chose Thrasher based on the reviews here and they were great. We got several estimates for fixing termite issues in one wall of our house. Mike from Thrasher was the only company rep who did not try to sell us on services we did not want or need. He was great about explaining what would be done and the price was fair. Rolando who did the outside work was also excellent. More recently, we also had an issue with mice in another building on our property, and called them again. The inspector Ed B. was great. He found where we had gaps in outside walls and took care of them. Highly recommend.

Thrasher Termite is wonderful! They are always responsive and thorough. I like the fact you get the same technician each month and get a call 30 minutes in advance of your appointment time that he is on the way. Their technician, Christian Negroni, has always been professional, courteous, on time, helpful, answers questions, and always polite. I am sorry to learn that he is moving out of state and after this month I will have a different technician.

Ed did a great job servicing my property. He is knowledgeable, friendly and competent. Rodent activity has been increasing the past few months and Ed took the time to listen, and moved bait stations around to better cover areas that were being most affected. He also let me know where he was noticing activity and made appropriate adjustments. Most significantly, he was able to find an intrusion point inside my attic that over the last couple of months 3 other technicians had looked for but couldnt find - huge win! My experience with Thrasher has been amazing ! Mark , the technician that has been coming out for to do treatment always makes sure that I’m seen not only within my window period of my schedule time , but gives me the courtesy of coming in the beginning of the time frame . My lunch hour at work is limited to only 1 hour and I’m able to extend it if need be to about 30 min extra. However, before mark became my regular technician I was always late coming back from my lunch because I would be waiting on thrasher to come . I was about to cancel my account with thrasher until mark called me and told me that from now on either he or his colleagues will be prompt to ensure that I’m able to make it back to work on time . We have been using Thrasher Pest Control for the past 6 months for bi-monthly pest service and have had wonderful service. Mark is our service provider and he has been nothing, but wonderful and accommodating. He always checks in to see how our house is doing and if there is an issue with spiders, ants, etc. he makes a special trip out to re-spray. Mark is amazing! We moved into a house with a rat infestation (totally unknown to us). We called Thrasher, and Mark came ASAP. Did a full home inspection, and then set out traps. A few days later, one of the traps had a rat. We called him to let him know, and he came by promptly the next morning to pick it up. He then re-baited all of the existing traps to make sure nothing else is still crawling around. Very professional, punctual and responsive - I highly recommend!

We have been Thrasher customers for years and they have helped us with scorpions, spiders and ants. Recently, Ramon has been helping us through a rodent problem for the past month. We are finally rodent free thanks to Ramon and the Thrasher team. When calling for the initial rodent appointment and follow up appointments I feel that we got great service because we are recurring Thrasher customer. Even though Ramons schedule was full, the office staff worked it out and fit us in. Ramon is a kind and considerate team member that made the process easy and comfortable.

Thrasher was great! I called paranoid that I had bed bugs because of a couple mysterious bites. They were easy to work with and scheduled and appointment, and even called when an earlier appointment opened up. Kyle was the one who inspected my place. He was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. He taught me about bed bugs and the signs to look for as he was doing his inspection. Turns out I dont have bed bugs, and he gave some possible explanations on how bugs got into my place. Overall, great experience. If I ever have a bug problem, Im will definitely call thrasher again!
We have used Thrasher on a handful of homes now and we are extremely impressed. I can call or email Claudia and have an inspection set within minutes. They always fit me in their schedule and I get a report same day as the inspection. We have used several other companies and they are nowhere near as good as Thrasher. Once we decide to get the repairs done they schedule the work and unlike most companies they do their own wood work which is great! We have had one job where the work wasnt exactly up to par and I phoned Claudia and she got someone out there to fix the work that same day as well as she notified her manager so it would not happen again. We found thrasher rather quite randomly over in Yelp and we were skeptical about pest control companies because its usually the technician that does the work that you would like to deal with or not. We have Ramon over at our place for now almost a year now , and he has been great . Keep to schedules , spends time explaining how things works ( we had rat problems before) and he is ever so polite and courteous .So far we had one month lapse of service due to computer system error , and we did see ants activity in our compound . That was easily rectified and Thrasher office people were really sweet in fixing the issue and we got our service schedule back on . In short ,pest control companies are a necessity for regular service but it all depends on the personnel that works for the company .Highly recommended for their efficiency and good personnels working for them .

Mark came out and gave me some great advice on how to handle the strangler ants. This is my second time with this company and Mark has been very helpful each time. The first time I had a terrible infestation and they were gone within. 24 hours. Highly recommend this company and Mark. Luckily this time I just had a few and as a precaution called them and was advised after inspection to continue to use Windex religiously.

We recently acquired an apartment building near downtown San Diego and after we took it over we realized that we had a major pest problem in some of the units. Thrasher was amazing. They did the most thorough inspection, room by room, unit by unit. They then created a treatment plan and worked with each tenant to make sure that they understood what needed to be accomplished before treatment. They returned as necessary when tenants were unprepared and were patient and thorough. They did a different treatment in each unit as necessary and didnt just choose one treatment for the whole building. The reps were on time, kind, helpful and patient, patient, patient. I signed up for their monthly service and I would recommend them to anyone who wants a thorough job done!

This job called for 3 days, and they finished ahead of schedule, even though they work a half a day on the second day. Karl comes out on a set date every other month to spray for pests and reload bait boxes. He does a very thorough job. I have absolutely no complaints! Karl is also a really nice guy! We have been using Thrasher’s services for around two years now.

Living two blocks from a canyon has its challenges with the wildlife and we found ourselves with a flea problem even though we do not have pets and live on the 2nd floor. Mark was amazing and his service included two treatments over a two week period. He also recommended a wildlife relocation service that made sure the skunk family living under our house was able to get out but not return. We are now flea and skunk free and couldn’t be happier with the service we received at Thrasher, definitely recommend!

We have a condo that we rent out in Mission Valley. Weve owned our condo for 16 years and never before have we had any insect problems. We thought we had mice damage. Thrasher sent over 2 men who examined the areas we were concerned with in the house.They assured us that we didnt have mice, although we might have had one in the past. They suggested that we reduce possible rodent access to the house by keeping the doors shut, the vegetation away from the house, etc. They were so knowledgeable and helpful. We were able to get over the ick factor. And they were considerably less expensive than the nationally advertised pest control firm. We highly recommend them!

I was very surprised to learn that inspections and the use of simple preventives, such as gel baits for ants and roaches, are free because we have subscribed to tri-monthly service. I feel that is a rare free offering. Karl is always prompt, informative, and friendly. Prior to every appointment we always get an actual phone call reminding us. Very helpful.

On time, honest, communicative. From start to finish, the process was pretty painless and straightforward, and at a fair price. We were briefed on what to expect as far as perimeter plants go and how to prepare them for the tent, how vikane (the gas used for termites) works, etc. The team was careful not to let us leave any food or consumables, and when I apparently forgot something, they bagged it just in case-- they didnt have to do that! Very considerate. They got a tight seal on the place and when we returned we found dead bugs in the sink. Good sign! I am very optimistic about our (former) termite problem. And the nice thing about vikane is that it doesnt stick to clothes or dishes so you dont have to worry about decontaminating your whole house afterwards. Tenting your home is a bit of a vulnerable feeling so its nice to find a company that is consciencious. From our experience I would absolutely recommend Thrasher to friends and family.

I had bed bugs.......YIKES!!!!!!!! So I called Garrett at Thraser Pest Control and he came out to take a look.Not only did he find those tiny bugs, he gave me a price quickly after assessing the situation and I went with their price and program, proven by science to get rid of the bugs. I dont mind spiders and snakes, but it aint what it takes to call Thrasher! I am beyond tired of dealing with wasps.They are constantly making homes in my eaves. But yesterday, I had enough. I walked onto my deck and they were swarming, and going in and out of a vent to my house. After nearly poisoning myself with spray, I called Thrasher, and Mark V. came out today. What I learned: They were swarming to find a place to make a home, but I guess I interrupted them. Although they were flying in and out of a screened vent, which actually Mark fixed because it wasnt sealed well, Mark said that wasps dont make homes/nests in enclosed areas like bees, they want to be outside. That information alone made me feel better knowing I dont have wasps flying around in the ducts of my home. There is not a lot of prevention we can do. Evidently, we are enabling the wasps as we have a pool, so with water and dirt (=mud) those are the building resources. Mark provided me a lot of reassurance, an education and the means to take on the next round. Mark is a true professional, knowledgeable and a real gentleman. I wont use anyone else in the future.
Ramon is super responsive and sensitive to my requests as I have dogs here. He anticipated my needs upon arrival. He also came out twice within two weeks as I still saw ants. Excellent service.

I had another company come out prior to Thasher, and lets just say i was born at night, but not last night. The bid from them was completely unreasonable. When Tharsher came out the bid they offered was much more realistic. They ended up doing fumigation and repair. Everything was done professionally and in a timely manner. One little thing they do that other contractors often dont, is that they cleaned up after themselves. They even brought a magnet to get up the lose nails they dropped around the house. This is super importantant since i have 2 small children and 2 dogs running around. Thanks Thrasher!

Very disappointing. The use of a subcontractor for the tenting was not expected and resulted in poor communication. The subcontractor lead was rude and blamed me for following the advice of the inspector that while my roof was being replaced was the best time for tenting. The subcontractor lead Indicated he was worried about safety but in talking with the other crew it turns out that it would have to take longer because they needed to be careful. They made me sign a hand written waiver for broken tiles though I already singed one on line. Very unprofessional and not legally binding anyway. The inspector was only at the house for 10 minutes. After signing all of the paper work and waivers I had major concerns about the health of my mature landscaping near the house. The subcontractor lead came out and looked and indicated everything would be fine as long as I watered. Didnt notice that the roof was being replaced and didnt notify his crew. Also, another crew came by trying to sell roof insurance, again, nobody told them my roof was being replacement and more time wasted and another indicator or a lack of communication. The inspector didnt explain how the house was to be tented and so when I saw some of my new landscaping under the tenting I was concerned and expressed this in an email. No reply. The subcontractor broke a mature banana tree that was producing - they taped a half section of bamboo I had to the tree to make a banana splint, like I wouldnt notice? Silly waste of time. They broke the trellis my wife made for a wedding gift mandevilla vine and broke one of the vines off at the base. Overall a very stressful process made way worse by unprofessional staff. I cannot recommend Thrasher and would make sure that any service you chose actually does the tenting and explains what the process is and how they are going to tent your home.

2022-07-14Thrasher is amazing. Ive had a couple panics -- one for good reason, another not. They got here within a few hours (or the next day), and explained what was going on and how theyd solve it -- which they did. They are so knowledgeable , so on-the-ball, and so personable. You can tell this is a family business. Robin, Josue, and Demetrius are fantastic. I cannot recommend them enough. ALSO: go local, support San Diego businesses.

2022-05-27Thrasher is so professional in every aspect of their business. Chris is our regular technician and is super professional and courteous and kind; he even fixed our hose while there a few weeks back, when other people would have said “can’t complete this until your hose is fixed.” They text before arriving, email monthly service statements and all billing is automatic. It’s a really well ran business with really great people and client service. Highly recommend.

Their receptionist are all super helpful and reliable. Easy to schedule and plenty of reminders. All the technicians have been great. Very courteous and professional. 2022-04-04Pest control services can sometimes be one of those things that you try to ignore using, until its too late. I cant count how many times Ive politely declined door solicitors pitching house perimeter pest treatment services-finally my hubris got the better of me.We purchased our home in 2013, had it tented by the seller and promptly forgot about wood destroying organisms. They did not forget about us!Fast forward to 2020 and I began seeing a few mud holes coming out of our wall in the living room and promptly ignored them as they seemed to be few visible. Obviously they were the tip of the proverbial iceberg. I mean if I could see those 9 feet up the wall, there was obviously a lot going on behind closed doors/walls.2022 comes along and out come the subterranean termites with wings, like a horror movie they poured from a few holes into the house one afternoon. We called up Thrasher and they scheduled us for an inspection- the VP, Garrett came out, did his walkthrough and within a few hours of leaving gave us our options ranging from localized treatment to the complete outside of the house. Garrett was knowledgeable and informative. We went ahead and opted to do the full perimeter and got it scheduled.We were given a window between 12-2pm on a Monday for the technician to show up. Ali rolled up at 12pm right on time and walked around the property with me to discuss what treatment was going to be done, gave us the chemical names, safety recommendations and got to work. Ali was more than professional and provided great information on the process, what to expect and guidance on what the future could hold (as far as potential infestations, wood damage, etc). Ali was clean and neat when working in the house and walking through it with tools and after leaving, no one could be the wiser that treatment work was done if they werent aware. But it was and it was done well.5/5 stars, I will be recommending Ali and Thrasher to my friends and neighbors should they need pest control work. And I swear to never ignore warning signs on infestations again!

2022-05-23I called Thrasher in late April to schedule my quarterly service for May 19, 2022. On May 16, I called to confirm my service date and all was well. Sometime after that, someone in the Thrasher office changed my scheduled date to May 24 WITHOUT TELLING ME! I discovered it when no technician showed up for my 7-8am window on May 19. I called and spoke to Robin; she was apologetic and was able to send a nearby technician within the hour. Thank you, Robin! I give the Thrasher office schedulers 2 STARS because they screwed up the schedule, I give Robin 4 STARS for correcting the mistake promptly, and I give Brian McMackin 5 STARS for the sudden route change and for doing an AMAZING job! Brian did a very thorough job of spraying for ants, de-webbing, and refilling my rodent baits. He did EXACTLY what I asked and I was very happy with his service! I will be requesting Brian for my next quarterly service. Thank you so much, Brian!!

2022-05-19I called Thrasher to come out and inspect for some general insect extermination work and and some pest/rodent advice, Mark Vollenweider came out and sprayed every inch of the house and informed me of what else is included in our plan (interior and exterior extermination) He was extremely knowledgeable and had a very peaceful and calm spirit.
