Beautiful hotel that was nice and cozy. The bar could have been a little better and we waited ridiculously long for some slippers to go down to the pool. Which is completely ridiculous based on the cost per night. Otherwise it was a great place to stay with great views.
We had a great experience! The check in was a breeze but with utmost safety. It was a hot day and a staff member offered us cold bottled water while waiting checking in and waiting for our room. The room is very clean and nice. High ceilings and neat furnitures make the room so grand. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa with a balcony and it was perfect for 3 couples.
Excellent Location to Downtown Napa. We were able to walk to Ox Bow for breakfast. The service was always excellent. We loved our spacious and well-appointed suite. We enjoyed drinks at the bar. We wanted music in the lobby so we brought our own. The patio looks like a nice place to have drinks but it was a bit too windy and cold for us during our stay.
Overall the hotel is very nice and clean. It is not however on the main street. The concierge will tell you that it’s walkable… It is if you are wearing sneakers and are looking for a long walk. If you’re looking to go out to a nice dinner and are dressed up for a night on the town, you definitely need a car./ transportation. As a platinum member I expected a nice breakfast. What we received was a boxed breakfast. I thought that the boxed breakfast was due to Covid however there were people having breakfast at the restaurant but those of us that get breakfast as a perk had to make due with a box. You will however be awarded 1,000 points because of the breakfast situation, but let’s be real, you need at least 35,000 points for a decent stay in a few of Marriott properties. When I brought the situation up to management, they told me there was nothing they could do and that this came down from corporate. Let’s reinstate services to elite members, after all we are loyal guests and still continue to choose Marriott.
Beautiful and clean hotel with great amenities. The staff was top notch and super friendly. Each morning we were greeted in the hallway by housekeeping. My husband and I arrived at the hotel at 9am to drop off our luggage so we could go wine tasting for the day. The front desk went the extra mile and checked us into our room early. This was so unexpected and appreciated, it helped give me peace of mind and be less stressed. The pool and hot tub were clean, comfortable, and stocked with towels. The gym has peloton bikes so I didnt have to miss a class. My husband and I plan on coming back soon.
Stay was average. Hotel is nice and Centrally located. Rooms were okay but the bathroom door kept getting off hook and we couldn’t close it. The outdoor fire pits were pretty amazing and my favorite part although the staff in the restaurant were not attentive. Understanding staffing shortages, they seemed disconnected and they didn’t exhibit a high level of customer service. They didn’t even smile. The best person that works there is Royce, the concierge. She’s absolutely amazing and helped us with everything and I can’t thank her enough and because of her she made our trip so amazing. I don’t know if I’ll stay again bc there’s way better options at that price point.
I found that the staff delivered service with a smile, but they werent really interested in delivering any level of customer service.Housekeeping never cleaned the room at all one day and when I commented to the front desk about it I was told they only do a tidy service. A separate very aggressive woman at the desk stepped into the conversation I was having said -- didnt you get the letter prior to arrival? We will send it to you again. My issue wasnt about the tidy service concept it was that there was no housekeeping services, not even new towels or soap provided. When we asked the housekeeper in the hallway she said, your room is not on my list today. The card in the room says there will be some level of service everyday, it is just a modified level of service. I get that. They wont change sheets or do a complete cleaning, but for a full-service hotel I expect clean towels and soap. Also - on a separate occasion we reported to the front desk that there was something wrong with the sliding glass door in our room. The door would not close and it could not be locked. The front desk staff person was confused if we meant the bathroom door or the outside door. We told her the outside door. After a few minutes of explaining -- she said thank you for letting us know. We then asked her -- would you like to know what room where are so you can put a note into the engineering department? She said oh yeah, sure let me right down your room number. Again -- service with a smile, but not really service. For the price of the room, the service is lacking. The carpeting in the room and the furniture had stains on it. The furniture was dated and the space was outfitted as a timeshare with an efficiency in the room. This does not feel like a luxury hotel in anyway. Stay for the location / proximity to the downtown, but dont stay for any level of luxury - your not going to get it here.
If you a a longtime Marriott customer do not expect to be treated well here. We made our reservation 5 months in advance and tried to use suite upgrades, which is understandable. What’s not understandable is getting the smallest room in the entire hotel. We went to the desk and asked for more shampoo, and then instead brought body wash and cream rinse. They also did not clean the room for three days but we did eventually managed to get a few more towels. If you’re expecting four star service prepare to be massively disappointed. This is a premier property in name and location only certainly not by service standards
Thank you Westin Verasa team for accommodating our group! We had 21 rooms booked and check in could not have been more seemless, quick, and hospitable. We enjoyed our entire stay. Only wished the restaurant was open, but completely understand why it isnt at the moment! Good thing it was an easy walk to plenty of other options.
It was out first time in Napa and the resort was very nice. The pool looked bigger in photos but was great. Hot tub was a bonus. Was close to everything and we enjoyed walking to the restaurant and shops closer in town. Hotel was clean and beds were comfortable. The only problem I had was I used the iron and it had some tar like substance on the iron and ruined my dress.
Third stay at Westin Verasa Napa during COVID period. Location is excellent, property and rooms are very nice. naturally, the heavenly products are excellent. Moreover, more facilities and dining options are becoming available as COVID rules change.Biggest nit this visit: as Platinum Elite we are eligible for a free continental breakfast. We still down at the restaurant and tell the waiter that is what we want. He walks out with pre packaged box lunches, sets them down on the table and says here you are.. I ask if I could have some coffee.......he says you can get it yourself at the coffee stand in the lobby! Open the box lunch, only the fruit is fresh, he TINY pastry is hard, and the yogurt is so watery I question if it was refrigerated. Instead of the complimentary continental being seen as an elite member perc, it felt like we were being treated like third class guests. Suggestion, if the is the attitude of the waitstaff to continental breakfast and that is the quality, dont offer it!
Clean, above average hotel close to nappa downtown. You cant really walk to downtown in all attire though. 10min walk or so to most things.Really annoying they didnt have do not disturb signs. With no way to communicate with overly aggressive housekeeping staff, I couldnt fully enjoy my stay.
The hotel itself is nice but not the service. The staffs were okay but not up to the standard held against the four/five star hotels. We stayed in the premium suite but got poor service. When we checked in, the tables and countertops were covered in dust. The cleaning was not done properly. We stayed there for two nights but never received a full cleaning service. All we got was the linen and towel change. We had a breakfast at the dining table in the suite but when we came back for the night, it was untouched. The trash was there untouched on the table. We had to clean them ourselves at the five star hotel!!!!! Also, in the middle of the stay I got a card notification that said $218 was taken out of my account with the card I left at the front desk for security/deposit purposes. It’s odd that the transaction was made during our stay, not in the beginning or at the checkout and we did not use any room service. We complained about the cleaning and the card transaction to the manager. But the manager couldn’t really explain the situation to our satisfaction. He probably said something along the lines of I’m sorry but it didn’t seem heartfelt or the apology didn’t come through well. No remedial comments or redeemable offers what so ever. Soooooo disappointed at the hotel that we would not stay there again nor would we recommend it to others.
A lovely hotel . We had a two bedroom suite with a large living room, dining room, kitchen area. It was very comfortable . The beds were comfy with nice quality bedding. We had a small balcony which was nice even though the view was not great(parking lot). The lobby is large and well appointed. The pool area ...great! Lots of chairs and nice towels provided. There were firepits for the cooler nights. We enjoyed sitting out here with a (expensive) nightcap! Overall, excellent accommodations.
Weve stayed at this property many times to celebrate different occasions, this time was for our daughters 21st birthday. From the minute we checked in the staff was helpful, friendly and courteous. The valet could not have been more accommodating as we had a lot of items to unload. He helped every step of the way. Check in was a breeze, we were upgraded and our stay was wonderful. My only complaint is we would like Marriott to ditch the SINGLE USE PLASTIC shampoo, conditioner and body wash items and replace them with refill containers.
Disappointing at best. The only thing that I was impressed with was the location other than that my stay was not an enjoyable one. I asked for an upper level room was given a ground floor level room next to the electrical room with no view at all and listened to the underground garage door go up and down all day and all night. When I arrived in the room there were no linens in the room and had to call for linens to be brought in and the pet stains on the carpeting did not make me feel as though the room were very clean. I ordered some chicken sliders at the bar on my first night and the chicken was not cooked thoroughly through and I was charged a service charge that I was unaware of was hotel procedure. Not a very good experience.
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Westin Verasa in Napa. It met all our expectations in cleanliness and felt very luxurious. The location of the hotel is wonderful, being situated just up the road from the Oxbow market and directly on the river. The staff was friendly and the pool and hot tub area was a relaxing dream to end our days of exploring. Although the lady who checked us in acknowledged my being a gold member I was disappointed to see I never received the gift of 500 points promised at check in. It seems petty to even mention after such a wonderful stay, but it has importance to me.
Here for a welcome wedding reception party 8-10. The group closed down the outside reception 20 minutes early without notice and also took the food tables away before the end of the party. They also cut off the inside bar before the posted time and didn’t serve the father of the groom and other party members. The abrupt end unannounced curtailing of service, after so much money was spent on the welcome party and the wedding block, killed the vibe of the party. One waitstaff also said ‘oh we might donate it to the community’ when taking away a large table of food that the group could have had for another 15+ minutes or more and I had a very strong feeling they would just throw it away. I do not appreciate them doing this after the large amount of business the wedding party is bringing them, will not look to stay here or book any kind of social events with them again.
Absolute perfection! Central to everything, serene surroundings, friendly helpful staff. This property has a lovely pool and hot tub. The restaurant staff were so helpful, even prepared dessert to go after hours. The suite was huge, king bed was comfortable and surprisingly so was the sofa bed. Amenities in the suite were great, and the sun deck was a perfect way to sit with coffee and start the day.
The hotel was beautiful with a great location and friendly staff. We enjoyed the pool and outside spaces tremendously and would gladly come back. The biggest drawback was both restaurants were closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and therefore we were unable to eat on site. The bar was great and the bartenders were fantastic.
This is a beautiful resort in downtown Napa, right next to the Napa Valley wine train and the Oxbow market. You can’t ask for a better location. We stayed for a week and visited 10 wineries, not to mention several meals at the Oxbow and several restaurants downtown. The highlight of this trip was probably the dinner in the hotel at La Toque, which is an experience unlike any other. Cant recommend this place enough! My only minute gripe is that using the phone app for unlocking doors was somewhat intermittent. So don’t forget your room key! Small price to pay for such a wonderful resort.
It has not been pleasant to stay at hotels over the past year. Service has been stripped and it can be hard to get basic needs and comfort managed. I loved that I could park my own car and not pay for valet. The room was clean and comfortable with the amenities that I had expected and the front desk service was excellent.
Good hotel. The location in town is good for getting places. But the views of downtown are okay. I stayed in a Jr suite for three days. It was close to the pool, super noisey, and the walls were thin. The staff was excellent, and the facilities okay. Worth another stay to see if things improve.
This would have been a 4-5 star review if it wasn’t for the management making up excuses after excuses for the lack of offering elite member breakfast benefits even though the restaurant was open during our stay. The Management and all of front desk decided they can crap on guests and give a ridiculous excuse why breakfast cannot be provided to elite members under Bonvoy policies. The reason given was that since breakfast was not available everyday, it’s unfair to weekday stayers since breakfast was only open on the weekends? So basically the logic is if they close breakfast just one day a week and only offered breakfast for 6 days, the property is under the impression that breakfast benefits don’t apply. None of the management would talk to guests and let the poor front desk agent defend what is a ridiculous policy. And trying to claim elite welcome guarantee? Bonvoy said it must be done prior to checkout. How do you claim the guarantee and document it if front desk won’t even entertain the request? I’m sure the management will respond saying oh covid this covid that, or just wash themselves from the any responsibility as part of a global hotel group. Look at your rates, almost double from precovid. Having said that, the location and the accommodation was good. The property appears to be kept clean and fresh. Public areas and pool areas are nice. Rooms and residences were clean and had individual air flow filters. Place has underground parking and lots of charging for EVs.
We travel to the property with our best friends and kids for the memorial day weekend. We supplied our own fun and entertainment of course, but we were hoping the hotel would have a few more amenities. Specifically the dining and bar services were closed during our stay. That meant we had to walk to the Oxbow for lunch families. Normally that would be a fun adventure but we were hoping to all be able to chill together and enjoy our food poolside. Another sour note was the towel personnel, who is very surly with clients. The individual was confrontational hotel guests over the amount of towels they were requesting. It was bad enough that other families were talking about it I poolside. We will definitely get this property go in the future and hope that the staff & logistics are in place to provide the level of service Westin is known for.
Verasa has a great location, being just across the floor overflow area (but behind the flood wall) from the Oxbow market and path to downtown. We were able to get a third floor room, but it was over the trash/recycling which was picked up at 6:15am Friday morning. Verasa is priced above other Napa hotel options, but doesn’t have that special factor. Our room was set up for longer stays with a kitchenette, but was still rectangular with a single bath/tub, not separate a nice hotels with deluxe rooms often have.
We have a deluxe room with a big patio but it has no chairs. All other balconies around us did. We asked twice and they said yes you should, we’ll have it brought up. Two days and nothing. Then we got a call saying our patio gets no furniture. We said all others around us do and they said it must be a different room type and we’re told all others must be a different room type. This was after checking in and our bags not being brought up and needed 2 calls to eventually get them after more than 30 minutes. The hotel is nice, but service is lacking for the price point.
Currently at the Westin right now. My fiancé surprised me with this trip and got us the superior suite. He spent a lot of money on this room. Today we planned on just hanging at the hotel and enjoying the balcony and views, but unfortunately we can not. They put us in a corner unit that receives no sunlight, no view and it’s just miserable to relax in this room. When he went down and asked to switch rooms the front desk women knew exactly which room we were in and said this wasn’t her first time she heard this complaint. They didn’t switch us yesterday, told us to check back this morning and we are stuck here. I am so disappointed. It is not relaxing sitting in the dark and feeling trapped inside a cold room with no sunlight. I wouldn’t stay here again. How can they call this a superior suite? Our last day here is not relaxing and I want out of this room. Not worth the money, I would look elsewhere or make sure you don’t get the corner units. It really ruined this trip.
This property is perfectly located for the wine train and the wine trolley. Quick Uber to restaurants as well. Rooms are spacious. Whoever bought the coffee makers for the room should be fired. They are terrible. House keeping was not doing any upkeep or towel replacement unless they dropped towels at your door. Other properties are more accommodating.
The property is everything you need for a lovely Napa vacation. Our suite was comfortable and well-appointed, and the location of the hotel is ideal for quiet and relaxation, as well as access to the restaurants and shops downtown. Our only complaint was the lack of warmth from the hotel staff. Obviously, covid has service reduced, but we were a little disappointed in the hotel personnel. Not a welcome or a good morning from anyone and the concierge dismissed my friend when she tried to ask a question.
Repeat customers here and love it. Obviously due to COVID some amenities are lacking (no valet and there were no restaurants open) but other than that the property is great. Easy walk to downtown to get food. Pool and hot tub are a great place to relax. Room was nice. Starting to show a bit of age from the last time I was there three years ago. Stains on the sofa and kitchen was a little bit dirty in the corners but nothing to complain about, just a hotel aging. Wonderful stay and can’t wait to come back with full amenities again.
Super clean, open, beautiful outdoor lounging area and pool with several canopies. Easy bike rentals behind property- path all the way to Yountville. Walk to the incredible Model Bakery for breakfast (order 1 hour ahead) and eat by the pool. Walk to Napa Valley Bistro for dinner-great food/value and GM Clay knows wine! Will return monthly- vineyard owners.
The heavenly beds were not so heavenly, they had depressions in them from all the people that had stayed in the suite. One of the bathroom doors was extremely difficult to close, the suite balcony door didnt close completely, and the window in one of the rooms didnt close entirely so it was like sleeping with the windows open and all the pollen, dust, and noise that brings with it. Staff seemed indifferent to all the issues.Westin usually does a great job overall, but this location needs maintenance and less apathy. Highly recommend staying at a different Marriott property.
Built in 2008, and renovated around 2015, this property is modern, warm, and welcoming. A small gym, a warm salt water pool, and a fun bocce court (not to mention outdoor lounge areas overlooking the pool and river) this hotel almost feels like a resort. Upon check-in no mention of my platinum status, but they did accommodate an early arrival of noon. Valet service was quick and easy, as was check-in. The larger king room was huge and was outfitted with a small kitchenette, perfect for brewing tea, and prepping a cheese board to enjoy with some wine. The sofa and the bathroom are showing their age, but the bed is the most comfortable cloud. The sofa is not a sofa bed so we requested a roll away for our 5 year old - it was promptly delivered and was very comfortable - I almost slept on it! On a recent trip we discovered the Domaine Carneros is no longer allowing children to attend tastings so we checked with the concierge about restrictions at Mumm Napa or Chandon - she gave us incorrect information, and almost stopped us from going to Mumm (they have a really nice art gallery to make up for their too sweet wine; they also happily accommodate kids). The oxbow commons (beautiful park right next to the hotel) had an event with hot air balloons the evening we stayed. We asked four different staff members what was happening down the street and not a single one knew. With Gott’s Roadside and the rest of oxbow just a short walk away from the hotel, this is a perfect location for a downtown Napa adventure. Overall, we’re glad we finally booked it, but I wouldn’t say it is worth a full price summer night stay until renovations happen again. Also to note, it has been more than a week and the stay has yet to show up in my bonvoy activity.
The resort is very centrally located, and has adequate garage and street parking. The resort is very clean and has generous amounts of PPE for anyone that needs masks, gloves, or sanitizer. It was easy to use the app to request extra towels, etc. Titanium room upgrade was phenomenal and we enjoyed our balcony.
We have been several times to the Verasa over the years. Although the rooms are clean, they are due for a facelift. We had the 2 bedroom suite. Small TV for the space. Also only towels were delivered after our request with no room cleaning over 4 night stays. I understand that they may have pandemic protocols but 4 night/5 days with zero cleaning is not acceptable.
The Westin Verasa does not disappoint. It lives up to the Westin high standard. The hotel is well maintained and the staff are friendly and competent. Free parking and complimentary coffee are nice bonuses. The hotel is walking distance to Oxbow Market and downtown Napa along a beautiful grassy area and walkways. It is a pet friendly hotel and provides a grassy area to walk your dog next to the hotel.
Overall a wonderful hotel & stay. Hopefully more dining options will be available soon during the week as everything was closed Tuesday (all day) & Wednesday until the evening. We ate at LaToque Wednesday evening & it was excellent but giving dining overall a “good”because of no dining options at all on Tuesday & only in the evening on Wednesday (although hotel appeared busy.). The one bedroom suites were great. They were also stocked with silverware, glassware, etc. which was handy for enjoying a snack/ breakfast brought back from a nearby bakery. My only complaint with them is that they need better pillows. We will likely return!
We visited in mid May 21, so just at the beginning of Covid restrictions loosening up. The hotel made us feel comfortable with the Covid protocols they have in place. This was a great spot for us to dash away to tours and tastings around the valley by day and then park the car and walk to drinks, dinner and shopping. The facility is clean and well maintained and the staff was very professional and friendly. A little constructive criticism would be to up their technology game a little. Once you stay in a hotel with Netflix on the TV and USB ports and charging stations right where you want them, its hard to go back. Its been a tough year for the hospitality industry, so maybe its on their to do list!We have only just unpacked and are planning another visit, thanks Westin!
The Westin was perfect from the doorman, front desk, check in process, parking, staff, pool, suite - everyone was so nice and helpful. Our 2 room suite was very clean and we even got an early check in. We went down 2 nights to sit by the fires and nothing was lit - the staff lit it for us both nights. The pool area was nice and clean. Without hesitation I would return and/or recommend the Westin Verasa.
Im sad to say our visit was poor this time around. I inquired about cleaning due to Covid concerns and was told that every room was aired out between guests and there were individual air purifiers in each room. I was told via email that these are on 24/7. Ours was off when we entered our room. We also saw housekeeping staff cleaning a room with their mask pulled below their chin. Many of the hand sanitizer dispensers were empty. The pool situation is awful. There is a max of 30 people allowed at once, with a 2 hour time limit. This is completely understandable. However, this time limit is not enforced and guests who have been at the pool for over 2 hours were never asked to leave. This makes it very difficult for other guests, who are on the wait list, to use the pool. If you are there for a pool day, claim your space early and no one will ever ask you to leave. You will be told once it gets busy that you are now on a timer and you have 2 hours, but no one will ever enforce this. Sadly, you will be charged a daily amenity fee, even though you will to be able to use them. They need a reservation system for the pool that makes it accessible for all guests and they need to enforce the time limits without being concerned of upsetting guests.
As nice as youd expect from a Westin. Our suite was about $1000/night. We got carried away chatting and were allowed a late checkout at noon. Not spectacular - not a Mandarin IMHO - but very good space with no surprises. Staff were kind. Space clean and COVID safe. Loved the balcony and fresh air overlooking the water.
Love this hotel. Have stayed multiple times with great experiences. The pandemic has pushed check in time, but otherwise no complaints. Outside if pandemic times, the hotel regularly holds massage and other events for guests. The rooms are comfortable and the service is great!
We have stayed at the Verasa on the multiple occasions, this was the first time since the pandemic. Covid protocols seemed good. Public space was clean, but due to pandemic we did not feel comfortable lounging in the lobby. Note to pet owners: no place to sit outside with your dog unless you are dining at the restaurant since all tables are now reserved for restaurant use. The room (we stayed in a suite) felt outdated and could definitely use a refresh. No daily housekeeping due to pandemic; when we arrived, we found a couple of dried up edamame pods on the floor of the living room which was kind of gross. Service was great at the restaurant, mediocre at the front desk (long wait in person and we tried on several occasions to get someone on the phone but no one answered). All in all, a fair to average stay for the price, with service fails (which may or may not be pandemic-related). Although we love the location, we might try another hotel on our next visit.
Just started staying in hotels again since the pandemic started. The decor was nice and updated. The rooms were clean. Hotel is dog friendly. Kids enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. Location was centrally located in Napa where you can walk to the Oxbow market or downtown easily.
To whom it may concern at Westin Verasa Napa, Our stay was ok when it came to the room. I used a 50K certificate for 1 night. I was really looking forward to experiencing a great stay. Yes, we got upgraded to the 1bd king suite. We decided to order food from La Toque, and again was looking forward to a great meal. I understand with Covid-19 we couldnt eat indoors, but doing take out to our room. We ordered two Grilled Prime New York steaks with Chimichurri sauce, a bits of potatoes tostones, 3 pieces of zucchini (squash) which was very disappointing to put it mildly for that price. The Presentation was a to-go cardboard box. I dont understand why it couldnt be placed on a plate covered lie we would do for in-room dining? Better presentation maybe would have improved the presentation but for $39 each that was ridiculous for a Michelin Star restaurant & for that Chef that is supposed to be on staff. We also ordered Avocado Shrimp Toast $19 & Chicken sliders $18. Thank you for listening to my complains of this food order.
The Westin Verasa Napa was most welcoming and friendly even with limited amenities. Location to downtown Napa and wineries was perfect! Walking trail behind hotel along river as great scenery. Would stay again. Napa Golf Course at Kennedy Memorial Park was close by and nice.
We always stay at this hotel for its easy access to the Oxbow, easy parking, pool and good drinks and food. It is a family friendly hotel with nice rooms. My only complaint is the current two hour pool rule. If you are booking the hotel to swim with your kids like we did, you’ll be disappointed with the two hour rule during COVID. Even with the pool half empty we were asked to leave mid-drink. They are doing a good job with cleaning and keeping the hotel COVID safe. I just wish we’d known about the pool rule before booking.
We stayed as a family in the 2 bedroom suite. You would think they are cleaning more carefully because of the pandemic, but it was gross. There was a pair of dirty underwear on the shelf below the sink of the outside bathroom where they place clean towels. There was a big piece of toenail clipped on the carpet in fro of the couch. The couch was dingy looking. The carpet in the master bedroom mad crunch sounds when you walk on it. The carpet throughout was snagged. The unit just looked rundown.
Spent some days at the Westin Verasa Napa with the family for spring break. Our suite was clean and everything in working order. One nice thing for our suite is plenty of power outlets for charging multiple devices! Our suite faced the pool area, so it was louder than prior stays. However, you cannot beat the fact that you are within easy walking distance of Oxbow Market and downtown Napa. Can easily hop on the Silverado Trail which avoids the traffic of Hwy 29.
Look, Im a Westin fan, but this hotel is for conferences at best. It isnt family friendly in my eyes. From no Room Service, the Kitchen being closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, to the inconvenience of having some food and having to go get it, to the late pool hours which keep your kids up because of all the noise....I mean this hotel was a mess. To top it all off we even got locked out of our hotel room and had to go get keys made again, with two kids, just not the way I wanted this vacation to go down.
Love, love, love. The hotel was in a great location that is super close to everything you could want. The accommodations were amazing. We were only there for a night as it was a quick weekender trip for us, but I wish we should have stayed longer to try out all of the amenities. The staff was great and super courteous.
The rooms are nice but overpriced compared to similarly priced rooms. Upon arrival our room wasn’t ready until 6pm causing us to miss our dinner reservations. No notices about pool limits were posted anyplace on property. After we were denied entry, we watched a steady stream of angry or disappointed people turned away also surprised by the policy. The other presumably COVID19 related lack of amenities (no housekeeping, bars or restaurants except weekends) was also disappointing.
My daughter, 5 month old puppy and I recently took our first COVID-era trip and stayed at the Westin Verasa in Napa. It was incredible! Our larger King room surprised us with a kitchenette in addition to the sitting area. The bed was super comfortable. The common spaces (lobby, courtyard and pool) are beautiful and spotless, and mask-wearing is strictly expected and enforced. The staff was helpful and lovely, and welcomed our puppy (and his two hallway accidents) warmly. The location cant be beat for walking to Oxbow or a bit further (2 min drive) to downtown. Free gated garage parking a huge plus. With the 3rd night free deal, this place couldnt be beat!
Peaceful and clean, walking distance to the oxbow restaurants- the model bakery and charcuterie place next door a must. Bike rentals easy behind hotel, 10 miles safe path to Yountville. No Netflix access, online movie rental price steep-$20. Kitchen needs paper towels/dish towels. Napa Valley Bistro walking distance- excellent dinner. Will return!
Our experience at Westin Verasa was wonderful. Pros:* Great location, only a short walk to oxbow market which as a bunch of small eats and wine/cheese shops and a 10 min drive to Yountville.* nice sized pool and hot tub to allow for social distancing * complimentary bottled water at the front desk* plenty of parking for guests* rooms were very spacious with a decent tub shower* since they were unable to offer daily clean ups due to covid, when I had asked for extra towels they came to our room in literally less than 5 minutes* fully stocked kitchen in our hotel room! made it so easy to do our own charcuterie board and have a relaxing saturday dinner* the front desk was extremely accommodating by helping us store our perishables in a fridge after we had to check out The only con I could think of is needing to re-register for the hotel wifi everyday other than that, everything was perfect.I highly recommend this place for a weekend trip in Napa.
The Westin is beautiful! When we arrived we were treated with friendly and helpful valet service. They even let us know that our E.V. could be charged I the garage and it was already part of hotel amenities. We checked in without any problems and told of the wine tasting they have in the evenings. Walking into our room was pleasant. Not to cold or hot, also the rooms are very clean but compact. Not that it bothered since we got the most simplest rooms but we were able to see other rooms and they have kitchens and living rooms, very nice! Beds are not to soft and pillows are kind of uncomfortable because they give no support. So I suggest bringing your own pillows. Rooms are super dark and pretty quiet. They have lavender pillow roller scents to help you sleep. That was very nice. The only thing is I called front desk to bring us tissues and they never did.
Requested for early check-in and knowing that it was not guaranteed I called the hotel before getting there if the early check-in could be accommodated. I was told that I could arrive at 1 pm and they will try to get the room ready as soon as possible. We arrived at a little after 2 and to my disappointment our room was not ready until 4:38 pm way past normal check in hours. All the staff said was that the previous guest checked out late and that it was a big room to clean. Speaking of cleaning, I discovered lots of dust on various surfaces in the room. At that point, I was not too confident about how well the room was cleaned. The hotel is in a very convenient location that is just a few minutes walk to the Oxbow market and 15 minutes walk from many restaurants.
Stayed here for my 60th Birthday. When I booked I was not aware that there services were totally restricted:No Maid ServiceNo RestaurantNo BarNo Room ServiceNo ValetHad to chase down a maid daily to receive clean towels, soap and toilet paper. Was charged regular rate, plus resort fee for a big fat ZERO Service. I won’t be returning.
Terrific property wit ha very good location, but the lack of proper staffing left left us unhappy. EG: we were in the restaurant Saturday morning and ordered breakfast (four of us). No one ordered anything that had to be cooked. Yet it took 35 minutes to have our food delivered to our table. On the other hand, Daniel (our waiter) did all that he could to manage the wait and to make us comfortable. It was obvious that he was not the problem, but the lack of staff in the kitchen was.Staff also was not very well informed as to surrounding options for additional services.WHY would we be in a wonderful room with a kitchen, and yet have NO PLATES in the room for our use? DONT blame Covid, because that would just be another use of a poor excuse. We stay with Westin frequently because of the value received - this stay significantly missed the mark.
Maid service not available daily. Room did not appear thoroughly cleaned. I found hair on coffee machine and used coffee packet in the machine. Fingerprints on bathroom door. Had to wash my own dishes because maid service was not available. For the money I paid, I don’t think I would stay here again.
Sadly not much than a big holiday inn express. Staff were unhelpful and hard to engage with. Facility is nice but nothing exciting happening- nice lobby but nowhere else to go but room. Long hallway walks to go anywhere from the single elevator, parking is a challenge in the tiny garage. No valet was available when we arrived. Coffee was bad. Rooms are tiny and outdated.
Unfortunate that the hotel restaurants are closed Mondays and Tuesday...so are a lot of restaurants in town, so plan accordingly.Great parking and Oxbow market nearby for some good food for takeout or eating out.Honestly there for business so didn’t have a lot of time to explore. So hotel amenities were important to us...which was a little lacking because of COVID-19.
The hotel is a great place to stay in Napa! Easy to access, safe, clean, great rooms and outdoor area, heated pools, bocce court and more... Staff is very gentle! Its walking distance (10 min) from Napa downtown and 5 mins from Oxbow Commons, and conveniently located for day escapes to Saint Helena or Calistoga!
Hotel staff was amazing, accommodations were so nice and the pool was open which was a nice surprise! Loved the experience staying here, the suite offered so much space and a great view of the Napa river! Walking distance to Oxboro Market and many great food options. LaToque was also delicious. Would very much recommend.
If you’re looking for great location, amenities, staff friendliness, price point, on-site dining, and quality of hotel all rolled into one package, you’ll stay at the Westin Verasa in Napa. I can’t see a reason why you’d stay anywhere else unless one of the above mentioned criteria isn’t what you need or want for your trip. Give this place a long weekend try and you’ll see what I mean. 5-star!
Bucket list to see Imagine Dragons brought us to Bottlerock and The Westin Verasa Napa. We recently had been to the Westin Grand Cayman at 7 Mile Beach which was a total and utter disaster and I was hesitant but willing to give Westin another chance. They redeemed themselves the moment we stepped on property. Warm and welcoming, the front desk staff makes you feel special (not a part of a heard). They care about you and the experience you will have at the property. The food in the bar is amazing and the bar staff is over the top attentive and personable!!! I mean really...who knew? Great vibe out on the back patio with the fire pit warming your toes. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and quiet. We were within walking distance to the event so we could come back for a rest mid day and walk back over. It really was a special spontaneous trip, worth every penny for such an amazing experience.
I wanted to say a couple nice things about the Westin. Its a Marriott property so you can expect its going to be good to great never bad to good. The setup here is really nice they have a parking garage with an elevator to get to your room level, its up to date. I dont think its super new but very well maintained. The one thing I can appreciate is they have a restaurant and a bar but limited hours with covid. I think thats going to change in the near future definitely recommend this place
It was a nice hotel, beautiful 2 bedroom suite with balcony. No valet because of covid, which was inconvenient. 3 stars because almost all of the night staff girls were super rude. Also they take coffee away at 10:30 am and I didnt see any I could make in the room. The daytime front desk guy was nice though, and the room service people were very kind and brought us everything we needed.
My girlfriend and I came to Napa for the weekend for a short vacation. Westin was the perfect place to stay. Located along the river and close to restaurants with delicious food ! Great trails to walk and sites are amazing. Close to Calistoga and many wineries !! Our bacony at the Westin faced the river. Fantastic!!
The Bad: Stayed one night over the weekend. There was a large group of young women staying on our floor and were up half the night making noise in the halls and next door to us. The walls are thin and you can hear everything going on in the room next door (we had an adjoining door). Also, the bathroom floor looked filthy, the grout was discolored from the remaining area. The Good: Westin always has comfortable beds, good linens and pillows. The shower also had good water pressure, which is always a plus.
I’ve always liked the Verasa. The lobby area is beautiful and well laid out. The outdoor common areas are fairly spacious and attractive. The two restaurants are very good, with La Toque earning a Michelin Star. The location can’t be beat within walking distance of downtown Napa and other attractions. And I think the rooms are very nice as well...spacious and well furnished.
Overall a nice stay.No pet fee = a winThe eggs Benedict...also a winThe pool is a good temp!Close to downtown. We walked there in about 15 mins.I think the biggest con is the bed. It was horrible. They have some sort of mattress pad on top of the mattress. You sink into it an not in a comfortable foam way but like a soft pillow an no support type way. I can deal with stuff sheets and bedding. But the bed was bad. I asked the other few people staying with us in the large room about the bed too. They agreed the bed was pretty bad an they too got little to no sleep. It’s like they layered numerous toppers to make it appear the bed was nice. For the price of the room it’s kinda not worth it. I’ve stayed in worse hotels an the bed was actually comfortable.I overlooked the fact the room wasn’t as clean as I expected it to be either. Especially for a Westin. I get they were closed down for several months. There was dust in most areas of the room. I wiped that down. The shower had black mold between the glass an tiles. I think it needs to be replaced vs being cleaned. But the cleaning aspect didn’t bother me as bad as the horrible bed did. They need to remove the toppers an just buy better mattresses.
I stayed solo for two nights, mid week on June 26/27th. This property looks inviting, with a classy lobby and outdoor tables and fire pits, plus a gated pool and good sized hot tub, plus a tiny pool bar. I asked for a different room after going up, due to an odd looking locked door, just inside from the entry to the room, and there was a loud noise coming from it. I was given an upgrade to a larger room, with a kitchen/sitting area. I lost my nice view, but I liked the extra space and fridge/tea kettle. I opted to not have housekeeping change my linens - theres a door hang tag to indicate if you opt out. However, my room was not made up properly, nor was I given ANY new bath amenities! I should have called to complain, but I was in a rush to go out for supper. It also says that you will be given a $5 credit if you opt in, but my Guest Folio upon checkout didnt show that. The pool was very nice, the noise from a group with kids was not so nice! The staff were courteous and friendly. the location is also very convenient with an easy straight walk down the block, to the fabulous Oxbow Market (for upscale food in a casual setting). Its also just a 2 minute drive to downtown Napa.
Hello,As previously stated the shower head was awful. There was no water pressure and the shower ahead appeared to be clogged in multiple locations. This was very annoying considering how much it costs to stay here per night. We were unable to shower and had wine tasting the following morning, which was very frustrating. We were very excited for our first Westin stay, but after this experience we would not stay here again.
This is certainly a 4 to 4.5 star hotel . First its in the best location you can want in Napa. Walk to oxbow market, downtown Napa, across the street from the wine train. It has a nice outdoor area with a decent pool and seating at night with heat lamps. Free wine tastings every night in the lobby. The service is outstanding. Everyone is very friendly and helpful including the valets and bartenders. Rooms are very spacious with a fridge, stove, and full kitchen cabinets and sink. The hotel is very clean and well taken care of. Great stay.
Take out food in the mini fridge when we checked in, dishes in the kitchenette were dirty. Told management about this on the post-stay survey. Got a form response thanking me and saying they were treating it as. learning experience. Total nonsense. With all of the amenities cancelled for covid reasons the one job is to provide a clean room. Im disappointed. Too many other places in the valley to stay for them not to take cleanliness seriously.
What a wonderful Westin property! We were upgraded to a suite and from the minute we stepped into the lobby, we felt welcomed and treasured. Hotel is great, rooms comfortable and quiet, fantastic fitness room, and wonderful location. Loved the evening wine tastings and the patio and pool are beautiful. It is located within walking distance of downtown and even closer to the Oxbow Market with great shops and restaurants. The only issue we had was with the guest self serve laundry and it was not the fault of the hotel but of a disrespectful staff member. Would go and stay at this hotel again in a heartbeat.
The Westin Versa is extremely inviting. As soon as you walk through the doors you instantly get a feeling of calm. The grounds are beautiful. The bar is high energy but not too loud. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I really have to say the staff at the Westin were so pleasant and helpful. We had dinner at a couple local restaurants and the service was really bad. The staff at the Westin was impeccable. I have to mention Gunika who set up our stay was extremely helpful and professional. She made this stay easy and enjoyable. I also want to mention the bell staff. For being young they were all so respectful and helpful. I can not write enough about the amazing staff they have. I will certainly be back!
This Resort is well designed and in an amazing location for those who wish to experience Downtown Napa but not be stuck in the middle of it. The Westin is within walking distance of amazing restaurants and Napa nightlife but set far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet as well. The grounds are well-kept and the staff is inviting. The rooms are well-designed and very comfortable. There are other Marriott locations that will take you Into the Heart Of The Vineyards but if youre looking for something that will give you the flexibility of enjoying some wine tasting along with Downtown Napa this would be one of my recommendations.
Westin has always been our go to spot to stay in Napa. This was our first getaway after over a year of The Pandemic. Upon checking in we left the room to go eat, then enjoyed some pool time and went out for the evening. It was not until the next morning when I was making coffee that I felt a sticky smudge on kitchenette countertop. Upon further inspection there was dust over the stove countertop, on top of tv console, nightstands and the phone. There was also white streaks on drawer front that at first I thought were scratches but were a substance that looked like a spill that splashed up. We did take pictures and mentioned this at checkout. Time to bid Westin Verasa Napa a fond adieu and move on to cleaner pastures.
What a beautiful hotel! My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Westin Verasa Napa. The hotel is very nicely decorated, as well as centrally located for a Napa/Sonoma area stay. It is beautiful both inside and out - if youve never enjoyed a salt water pool before, youll love the pool and adjacent whirlpool hot tub, not to mention the great deck area. There is also a lovely sitting area between the hotel and pool that is perfect for relaxing or enjoying a beverage from the restaurant inside the lobby area. We did not get a chance to eat at either of the two restaurants, but were told by guests and others in the Napa area that they are well worth trying. We were lucky enough to stay in one of their gorgeous, spacious suites, which has everything you would ever need and then some. I highly recommend booking a suite if possible, but if not, we saw a regular room and it too looked very, very nice. The Westin staff was also terrific, all very thoughtful and kind. We will definitely book the Westin the next time we travel to Napa. We highly recommend a stay at the Westin Verasa Napa!
The Westin Verasa experience was superb! Location, facility size and amenities exceeded our expectations. We felt like the only guests at the hotel and had the pool/hot tub to ourselves most evenings. Free wine tasting each night in the lobby was a nice treat. Will definitely be going back!
Having not stayed in a Westin for many years and having read that the facility hadnt been updated recently I didnt have very high expectations. Our week long stay from check in to check out was a wonderful experience. I was pleasantly surprised by the experienced, informed staff that went out of the way to focus on our comfort and needs, a lovely hotel room with full kitchen with every amenity thought out like towel hooks in just the right places, a long, comfortable bathtub, even lavender oil left on the bedside table to rub into your temples to help you fall asleep. We took advantage of the morning continental breakfast that we brought up to our room and the pastries and quality of fruit was exceptional. Even the granola was good! The recently updated pool and hot tub were great being both salt water and heated, and the fitness room was clean and all the equipment worked. The location of the hotel is great since you can walk to many places to eat, grab some food or a drink at the Oxbow Market, or go downtown to listen to live music. All in all a lovely hotel with a fantastic staff.
The hotel is lovely on the inside and out. The amenities provided are sufficient for the size of the property and include a modest fitness center, a nice outdoor area and lounge and two restaurants. The dining staff was superb, while the front desk staff and housekeeping were less responsive than we had hoped. Overall we loved the property and would stay again especially given the location and proximity to all of the Napa sites and downtown area.
We stayed at the Westin for three nights and very much enjoyed the experience. The staff is EXTRMEELY friendly and very helpful. Everyone would greet you when arriving or leaving for the day, the valet would ask if you needed directions anywhere whenever they brought your car, and everyone was always smiling. Every evening at 5PM they do a ‘wine tasting’ with a light appetizer. This was a fun and unexpected addition to the hotel, but do not expect a grand tasting or gourmet appetizer. That said, it was a fun reason to get out of the room and mingle with other hotel guests. The rooms were very clean and decorated very nicely. The pool area is gorgeous and well maintained. The hotel was a very short walk from the Ox Bow Market and Downtown, which was an added bonus. We had a fantastic trip and would recommend anyone looking to stay in downtown Napa to consider this property.
Lack of good leadership that shows in the lack of employees training. Rude and unhelpful staff....After checking multiple times, my reservation was messed up and I was charged the wrong rates. After calling to resolve I was treated rudely and left on hold and instead of just apologizing I was made to feel I was wrong. That part was hilarious. The concierge honestly lacks enthusiasm and did nothing to help. Whether it was inquiring about wineries in the area or getting recommendations and reservations for restaurants. Finally, the overall hotel was filthy and the restaurant service was not good and the menu was weak. Honestly I had a great time in Napa but would not advise people to stay at this hotel and certainly not for the rates they charge. Save the money and spend it on something else which you will enjoy more. BTW I am a Titanium Elite Plus member and have been with Marriott for over 15 years....
Even though my daughter is a manager at this beautiful hotel, I felt like everyone treated my mother, daughters and me as family. I was surprised that I felt more rejuvenated than any other hotel I have stayed in. It was wonderful. Oh, and our two dogs were also treated very well! The room was spacious and beautiful. My mother was helped by staff into the pool with a chair lift. She hadnt been in a pool in years. The food was excellent and it is walking distance to downtown. We all loved our stay!
Pros: They stay was nice and rooms are great. Cons: The charged me 25 percent gratitude for drinks automatically added to the bill claiming that the system is set that way. The swimming pool area was very laud and not very clean. They required reservation for breakfast but the dining area was empty. No respect for Marriott bonvoy members. Embarrassing coupons for breakfast which they “forget” to add to the bill.
Doesn’t get much better than this. Amazing dog friendly hotel that welcomes you both. From simple things like dog beds and bowls to beautiful location for walking to great restaurants and attractions. Not that you would ever have to leave! The hot tub spa and pool are delightful and La Toque Restaurant is 5 star! The staff is welcoming and accommodating and it’s so great to see the same smiling faces from year to year. The only bad thing about sharing such a great review is that It will book up faster and sooner!!
This a great place to stay and is a short walk or car ride away from downtown Napa. Everyone at the Westin was very nice and helpful. The room was nice and large and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom is nice and has a rain shower head which I love but the low flow makes is a little too low flow and took much longer to rinse and was slightly annoying. The rooms do look a little outdated but still are nice and feel very upscale. I stayed there on a Saturday and they had a guest winery come pour. A lot of nicer hotels in the Napa/Sonoma do this. Im not sure if it regulated by the guest winery or the hotel but this winery poured only two wines and very small amounts so a little underwhelming. It was hardly a tasting. The valet is included in the cost of your stay with the $20 site fee thats added on to the room charge with every stay. The pool was closed for repair during the stay which is to be reopened sometime late January.
We stayed at the Westin over MLK weekend. Our friends were visiting from out of town and we wanted to show them the best of Napa. Our suite was perfect. It had a large sitting area and mini kitchen. The bedroom was quite large and comfortable. We love the chic decor of the lobby and the relaxing atmosphere of the hotel. The restaurant, La Toque is excellent. We splurged for the tasting menu, the price is a bit high, but it was worth every penny. We loved grabbed a bottle of wine and playing bocce on the premises. Such a nice treat. The location is perfect. You can walk into downtown Napa and not worry about parking or driving. We look forward to staying at the Westin Napa on our next trip to wine country.
We just returned from what may have been our tenth stay at Napa Westin. This was the first time we had an issue but they all hit at once. We booked a one room suite with an adjoining king room because we were traveling with another couple. We arrived on Friday afternoon to find the toilet in our room wouldn’t flush as it ran continuously without filling the tank. I alerted the desk who sent up a couple guys who reported they couldn’t fix it and later that a part would need to be ordered and it wouldn’t be fixed until Monday (two full days later) which was upsetting because we paid so much extra to have two bathrooms and only had one. Before leaving for the day, I went to the desk Saturday morning to find out what could be done. They offered to move us but no other room was available so asked us to pack our things so they could reassign our room and get a new room for us when we got back for the evening. This was no good because we had food in the fridge and appointments to keep. When I told the manager, I think maybe Diane was her name, it wouldn’t work, she abruptly dismissed me saying “enjoy your day”. When we returned Saturday afternoon, the toilet was fixed which was great and strangely odd because they left a card and some cheese on the toilet tank. We did not consume the toilet cheese. But our room hadn’t been made up. I later learned, when I was asleep with the do not disturb on the door, that this was because they thought we were moving rooms. Room service walked into our room while we were sleeping with the DND sign on to ask why we hadn’t vacated our room since we were checked out. Then the front desk called again while we were sleeping to ask if we’d still like to change rooms and couldn’t seem to understand why we didn’t want to move since the issue with the toilet had been mooted. When we returned from wine tasting Sunday afternoon, the room still hadn’t been made up (probably because everyone thought we checked out) so we had to ask the front desk for towels. It’s not an exaggeration to say the towels didn’t arrive until 11pm. While we were asleep again. So all in all, it was not a great stay and was somewhat embarrassing, especially since we brought another couple with us. I’m not sure we’ll be back for an eleventh stay.
Overall great property. Walking distance to Oxbow market and downtown market. Service was slow for breakfast, you’d did get large portions for the large prices. Suites were very nice. We stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bath with a kitchen. It was very comfortable for 2 Couples. They need to put a better sign up for the hot tub. Everyday someone accidentally hit the wrong button that was the alarm.
We had an enjoyable stay. The pool the hot tub the setting was all so refreshing. The staff was professional friendly and kind and went out of their way to make sure that we had everything we needed. We look forward to our next visit at this lovely hotel in an excellent location.
We are so glad we finally stayed at the Westin Verasa in Napa. We have stayed at a handful of other hotels in Napa but from now on this is where we will stay every single time. First, we were upgraded to a 1-bedroom suite with a kitchen so it almost felt like home. The pool/jacuzzi area is great (especially since its open year round). But the best thing about Verasa is the location. Everything you want to do (i.e. tasting rooms) or see are within walking distance so we just parked the car (valet is included in the amenity fee) and walked everywhere (Oxbow, Main Street, First Street Napa, Wine Train). Check in was very easy, and the restaurant (Bank) is very nice. We can’t wait to visit again and again!
Overall not that great. At check in, was not greeted and was rushed through process- even though there was nobody else in line. Understandably during COVID restrictions hotel amenities were non existent - but couldn’t even get breakfast at hotel despite breakfast options avail to guests over valentines weekend. I wouldn’t recommend this property.
This hotel is located in great location - walking distance to downtown Napa (great restaurants, wine bars, etc.) The location was perfect for the 4th of July, wine tasting and the viewing of fireworks. The hotel itself is very well kept, very clean and modern. The gym is small, but does the job and the pool is great especially when all the families with their little ones leave and it quiets down.My biggest problem with the hotel was with some of the staff. The front desk, service express and housekeeping were either annoyed when contacted or not responsive. Housekeeping never left enough towels for us, didnt leave any extra toiletries and always took FOREVER to bring something to our room. Because our room would always be missing something (including a broken wine glass) we would have to call down multiple times, which Im sure they saw as being high maintenance. On the bright side, the folks working the Valet were great and were working extremely hard in summer heat.Overall, the hotel stay was pleasant and I had a great time while in Napa, but I expected more from a service perspective. Ive been staying with SPG hotels for over 6 years (over 750 nights, Platinum, Lifetime Gold) and Ive seen the full range of customer service. I would have to rate this hotel as being mediocre at best, when it comes the service received.
The hotel itself is beautiful, and the location is great. We were, however, disappointed in the service in the restaurant at breakfast. On two consecutive days, we waited for 15 minutes for coffee and service. Watching the servers standing around chatting instead of helping customers added to our frustration. The staff was unapologetic for our wait. We were almost late to our wine tasting appointment because of the slow, inattentive service. I expect better from a Westin property. Its a shame the restaurant cannot get it together because the hotel is very nice. The adjoining restaurant, La Toque, was outstanding.
I love this hotel. I go with my husband and (well behaved) toy poodle at least once a year. Spacious rooms, comfy beds, perfect location. Extremely friendly staff. Last week, they set me up in the courtyard with a comfy chair and an umbrella and a bottle of wine and I sat there all day, reading with my little dog. It was so enjoyable. The staff was extremely accommodating and warm.
It was 4th of July weekend, so I understand the hotel was probably busier than usual. The Valet parking situation needs to be improved. Matty was awesome and without him in the front, it wouldve been chaos. Check-in desk had two people working and 7-8 groups checking in on the 4th.The pool is nice, but it was packed (again, it was the 4th of July, so maybe its a little less crowded on regular weekends). The bar area service at the pool was poor. (FYI - There is a 20% service fee added to all orders at the pool.) There is also a $20/day resort fee, which includes wireless internet. Our Suite was spacious, the bathroom was laid out well, enough counter space and a very good shower. The bed was comfy, but we called twice asking for foam pillows or the firmest pillows they had and kept getting squishy, feathery pillows. The Hotel/Resort location is a two minute walk to Oxbow Public Market and about 8-10 minute walk to the center of downtown, which makes it a great place to stay. And as crowded as the pool was, the Andaz doesnt have a pool.Overall, we had a pretty good stay and wed try the hotel again on a non-holiday weekend.
I am reminded once again how much I love this resort. The property is spacious and beautiful. Unlike a lot of other hotels in the area which look more like bed and breakfasts, this hotel is modern wine country. The lobby is gorgeous, the rooms are clean and spacious, and above all, I think it is quite a good value. The service staff was just wonderful and went well above and beyond for just my one night stay. The front desk was incredibly friendly and promptly gave me a room upgrade to a one-bed room suite (score!). I had my little boston terrier with me and they also made sure he got a welcome treat. My room was spacious and even had an Xbox. I had to remind front desk to bring up a dog bed and dog bowl, but they quickly provided this. After dinner that night, my fiance and I wanted to go to the bar for dessert, but found that they had already ended dinner service, so they offered us free nonalcholic drinks instead. I later ordered some juice and milk from room service late a night, and they promptly brought it to me gratis. I ordered room service for breakfast and it was incredibly well priced and delicious.I am so pleased with this property that I will be staying here during my wedding weekend even though the venue is in Sonoma.
Bad experience and bad service. We waited for the room to be ready, were given some keys that didn’t open the room, after another trip to the reception key were enabled, when we opened the room it was occupied by someone else... back to the lobby, were asked to wait again, we were then told that the room was empty (so basically telling us that we were lying) but they actually checked the wrong room... we got key to another room. I’m a Gold Elite customer, we couldn’t get a room upgrade or even a late checkout... they only agreed to a noon checkout... our keys were disabled at 11am, we were locked outside of our room... we fell relieved when the garage door opened by itself and we could leave the hotel after such experience....
The room service food was terrible. The seasonal vegetables were like frozen vegetables that were microwaved. The burger was the size of a slider. Very disappointing for any Westin property especially one of this caliber. The fitness center was very small for a property this size. Maximum was 12 people but crowded with 6 to 8. La Toque restaurant was incredible, exceptional good. Staff everywhere were very nice and accommodating. Hotel is beautiful. Would definitely come back but would not order room service.
This hotel is in a convenient location. You can walk to downtown or the nearby market.Platypus Tours does pick-ups and drop-offs in the hotel parking lot.The pool and hot tub are nice. The bar staff was closing for the night and cleaning yet still offered a complimentary drink which was appreciated.
This was our first visit to Napa. What a wonderful experience it was. The Hotel is in an excellent location to the Oxbow Market and Main Street. What can I say about the staff? Cudos! The staff was very friendly and professional from the moment we arrived at the Valet, to the front desk at check in, the restaurant and housekeeping staff did an excellent job. Every day we exited and returned to the hotel we were greeted by the friendly staff at the Valet and front desk always asking how we were doing and how our day was. Definitely top notch service! We will be returning next year!
Weve stayed at the Westin Verasa Napa many times and will continue to stay in the future. The staff is wonderful and the property is stunning. The only complaint we have is the amount of plastic the hotel uses. We would like to see the elimination of all single use plastic to include but not limited to the shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, straws, coffee lid and stir sticks.
Great location for all things Napa downtown. Trendy hotel with a friendly staff, especially the valet service. However, didnt like how they charge for things that are usually complimentary at other hotels (ex: coffee/tea). Wouldve given it 5 stars if it werent for missing details: didnt have enough towels, and ran out of shampoo and tea bags on the first day but never restocked. Other than those few things, its an overall great hotel - definitely recommend it!
The staff is warm, friendly and helpful. Loved the extra touches --- umbrellas available to guests for unexpected rain, free car service, no additional charge for parking. Rooms spacious and clean- beds super comfortable. Great cocktails at the bar. Walking distance to all the great spots in downtown Napa. Relaxing. Highly recommend.
This hotel very close to downtown Napa and all of its shops, restaurants, wine bars and cafes. Tucked away on a side street, but yet a stones throw to all of what cozy downtown has to offer.Lovely, maintained property with all of the amenities. You can even get work-out clothes and tennis shoes for $5 if you forgot them. Complimentary wine tasting in the lobby at set-hours. Cozy bar opens into the lobby. Spacious rooms with everything you need. And most importantly the staff is very friendly and helpful.
My fiancé and I stayed at this hotel for the first time as we spent a week touring the Napa wineries. We loved this hotel and took advantage of everything it had to offer.Gabriela checked us in and she was great. The room wed been upgraded too was not ready when we checked in so she invited us to have lunch and the hotel would cover it. Her help and professionalism was awesome. Im an SPG Platinum member and have been for over 10 yrs and this was one of the best hotels Ive stayed at.The room was beautiful, very spacious and great view of the pool and trees behind it.Would stay here again in a heart beat. I would say that from a location perspective, there are other areas/boutique hotels in Napa Valley that puts you closer to the wineries, however, again, the hotel on its own merits is fantastic. Thanks guys!
I completed a wonderful stay this past weekend in November. As an SPG plat, I was upgraded to a suite which was spectacular: very spacious, clean, and could have easily accommodated a small family. Ill be sure to bring my family next chance I get.The restaurant is a nice, dark, and sexy space. The chefs table didnt have the best view of the chefs actually working, though the extra attention given to us dining can be something you enjoy. Service was great, and Id highly recommend eating here even if you dont stay. The manager was also very quick to call me the very next day after I sent him an email about a reservation issue. VERY impressed with managers who care, and also very appreciative it wasnt some assistant who did the outreach. Ill be back.Tip: SPG plats get complimentary valet, as well as a $10 reduction in resort fee.
Free glass of wine upon check in? Yes please!Awesome hotel with fabulous service. I reserved a standard room for a weekend and was very satisfied with my stay. Beds are comfortable with fresh sheets; happy to have gotten in a good nights rest. Bathrooms are fully stocked with towels and your usual toiletries. This hotel is located in the downtown area, was expecting it to be a bit noisy at night, but to my surprise it was pretty quiet during the evening and into the night.Valet parking availableFull bar in the lobby areaComplimentary coffee in the morningWould highly recommend this location if youre looking for somewhere to stay in the Napa area.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Verasa. We were greeted by the outside staff with smiles and valet, and the front desk immediately recognized status and gave us a room upgrade. While we were checking in the outside staff even went out of their way to get us a couple of glasses of wine from the nightly tasting table. The room was spectacular: huge balcony, full kitchen, and a nice bathroom with a tub and shower. Every request we had was promptly met. The food in the Bank restaurant was also very good quality; we did not eat at the Toque restaurant. The only thing that was a mild annoyance was that the coffee machine didnt work properly (though we didnt request them to replace it).I fully recommend this hotel, will definitely stay there again if were ever back in the Napa area.
This hotel is nothing short of amazing. The food, the room, the service, everything was beyond my expectation. I would defiantly go back for the wine tasting and the relaxing experience alone. A lot of restaurants and activities close by that you will not get bored in the slightest manner. I cant wait to come back here.Thank you all for everything you provided during my stay, you made it unforgettable.
I stayed at the Westin Napa for my Bachelorette party in June 2019. I had an amazing experience and received the best service! The hotel rep Brittany was so kind and hospitable to my entire group. The hotel crew even sent a gift and a card to my room that was signed by the staff. The hotel was so accommodating with our arrival and departure times. Im just trying to find an excuse to return asap!Room A+Service A+Location A+
We stayed for three nights - two without children and one with. They upgraded our room and had a bottle of champagne and signed note from the staff congratulating us on our anniversary. We were so impressed! Its walking distance to Ox Bow market which we and the children loved! Amazing food! We woke up every morning and went to Model Bakery for breakfast which is heaven! The pool was warm enough to swim in even in February. We are already looking forward to going back.
I booked a suite at this hotel for a birthday celebration with friends. There were 6 of us total and we were extremely comfortable in our 2 bedroom suite. The facility was more spacious and comfortable than I expected. The hospitality here was excellent, and they made me feel special for my birthday. I loved my experience here and will be back for future Napa stays.
Ill share on the following points1. Rooms2. Amenities3. Staff4. Food5. Location1. The rooms, of which I saw 3 different floor plans (mine and two co-workers), were all spacious, clean, and well designed. The floor plan in my room had a ton of extra space in the bedroom and bathroom. On top of all the space, it came equipped with a full kitchen and office supplies to work out comfortably for a week.2. Pool, jacuzzi, spa, gym, and full bar with cafe and separate restaurant. All were top notch and served a high end clientele. We spent considerable time in the bar, a shorter amount of time in the pool, and far less time in the gym, but thats to be expected in Napa.3. The staff was the best part of the entire trip. They were courteous, knowledgeable, and beyond helpful. Each interaction was left feeling like they were there to make us feel comforted and at ease. There was also none that gave us the sorry, thats not my job attitude. It was a total team effort and it was felt from the front desk to the room service staff.4. Food, the food was good. It was a little pricey and the service time was not always the most prompt, but the wait and bar staff more than made up for it with their conversation and etiquette. There was a free wine tasting happy hour all 4 nights we were there from 5-7pm, each hosted by a different winery. It was absolutely delightful.5. Location, it was central to everything. We took a 5 minute walk and were in the open marketing, a 7 minute walk and were in the heart of down town Napa (all 10 shops ;). But honestly, it was beautiful and easy to access for all the surrounding attractions.
The Westin Verasa Napa is wonderful property all around, from the staff, to the wonderful rooms complete with kitchen and dining table, to the fantastic saltwater pool and hot tub.Weve always been well taken care of during our stays and this time around we were upgraded into a beautiful one-bedroom suite with a full kitchen! When we walked in, we were also presented with a lovely gift as well.We spent an entire morning at the pool and had lunch outdoors. The food was fantastic and the server was very kind to our daughter.I would happily recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to stay in Napa.
We were somewhat disappointed in our stay. First the good: 1.The staff was very friendly and tried to be helpful, especially the valets who were consistently friendly and helpful. 2.The mini kitchens were well equipped. 3.The lobby was pretty. 4. The pool and jacuzzi were very pretty. We were disappointed however, due to the following:1.Even though it advertises a beautiful view on the river, our room (as many rooms) overlooked the parking lot, a noisy road with motorcycles and the train2.The bathroom had poor lighting, and no make up area or mirror3.The unwind from 5 to 7, advertised as wine and tapas, was literally 1 inch of wine in the bottom of a small glass (a small taste of a single wine) and a small horsdeurve of the cream cheese variety4.The robes, so sumptious in many hotels, were small, chintzy feeling and barely fit around a small person5.The sheets were dingy and gray. The towels were stiff from too many washings6. The rooms were not usually cleaned till 5:00 pm, sometimes later.7. The business office, which had some good equipment, does not get cell reception as there is no window. Every call was dropped and required re-dialing. You can use their landline, but hotel call charges would apply, even for 800 numbers.8. Wifi in the room is unusable is you are on the couch, requiring you to very freequently re sign in. You could use it if you stood near the hallway, but this is not useful.
Great hotel in the downtown Napa area. This Westin meets industry standards in cleanliness, service, and decor. I absolutely love the access area for the path and nature path behind the complex as it is a great place to run. valet is mandatory but included, due to a small outside area make sure you call your car in early
Overall excellent facilities...pool, gym, lecture hall. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. The beds were outstanding!! If I could give 10 stars for the sleep comfort, I would. The staff was spot on, obviously well trained and motivated. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and helpful, especially the gents in valet parking. The hotel is well located within walking distance of historic downtown Napa and short rides away from the Silverado Trail and Cali29. My only disappointment was that my stay was far too short!
The suite was really nice. The only negatives are that the hotel bar closes at 11p and the two male bartenders working Thursday were not interested in being friendly to guests. Another ding goes to the front desk that wouldnt let me have replacement complimentary water bottles even though I was there two nights... she did offer to sell me some water. One great staff interaction was a woman from behind the restaurant front desk came out to help point my colleagues in the right direction-she is definitely Westin quality customer service. The cleaning staff in the hallways were always friendly too as we passed by to our room. The parking valets were friendly and fast getting our car at checkout.
This was the best hotel experience my wife and I have ever had! Excellent in all aspects. The service, facilities, and staff all combine to exceed your expectations. The room had a very spacious lay out so you got a feeling of comfort and luxury. The best part - The staff was so thoughtful they wished us for our wedding anniversary with champagne, card and chocolates! Thank you so much for making our special 5th wedding anniversary that much more special.
We really enjoyed staying here during our recent trip to Napa. Very central, easy to walk to stores and restaurants. Getting an Uber from here to the airport is tough, so I suggest pre-arranging that ride.Rooms are clean, housekeeping did a great job, the storage space is good for two peoples things to be put away. Loved how soundproof the sliding glass door was to the courtyard. Really blocked out the noise from coming into our room.
We stayed at the Westin Verasa for two nights during our trip to Napa and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is beautiful, modern, and clean, and the staff is extremely friendly.Due to the various dining options in the Napa area, we typically left hotel grounds for meals. We did, however, order appetizers by the pool after our wine tours. The food was very good and was timely delivered.I have to admit, because it was our anniversary and Im a SPG member, I was hoping that wed get a complimentary room upgrade at check-in. Unfortunately we didnt; rather, we were informed that it would cost an extra $80.00 per night for a room upgrade. In absolutely no way was this a major problem though. I would certainly stay at the hotel again and would recommend it as an affordable option to friends visiting wine country.
Snuck up to Napa with my wife for a quick weekend getaway. Hoped it would be less hectic during off season - it was. We fought temptation to overdo it like we usually do with multiple winery visits and lots of driving and running around. This time we WALKED to the Oxbow Market and into downtown for simple, wonderful dining experiences (like Hog Island, Model Bakery, Morimotos, Gotts) and only went for a couple short drives. Our room was great and we used the jacuzzi and pool to help us relax. Overall, it was a great experience. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the amenities are great. We hope to make regular visits to the Westin Verasa. Thanks everyone for a wonderful experience.
My first time at this hotel was decent. I was upgraded to a two King Suite, which is quite amazing. Great attention to detail in the room quality and comfort. But for such a nice room, it is more than a little disappointing that there is no mini-bar - that needs some work. Overall, I had a good stay.My only concerns stemmed from the lackluster service. Checking in, I asked the front desk if there was another room w/ two beds available for our friends that were also checking in and the agent did not seem interested in helping. Not a huge deal, but not the friendly service I am used to from Starwood. When arriving back at the hotel after dinner/drinks at 1130p, the kitchen had already closed and was unable to accomodate my request for dessert -like the lack of minobar this is more than disappointing when I paid $319 per night for the room. When my travel friend approached the front desk to ask about having food sent to the room, the manager was extremely standoff-ish, did not offer to help us find dessert elsewhere, and did not once apologize for the inconvenience. Together, these issues didnt turn me off completely and I will definitely visit the hotel again. But the service needs attention to rise to the level of other Starwood properties - especially at the moderate to high pricepoint that it is offered at.
The Westin Verasa Napa is a stellar property in every way, from the clean, spacious modern rooms to the gorgeous pool area. If you are visiting the Napa area, avoid the outdated Napa Valley Marriott like the plague (it is the antithesis of the Westin) and book your stay at the Westin. Some highlights: the Westin Verasa is spotlessly maintained and the staff is stellar. This property is located just a short walk from the shops and restaurants of downtown Napa, but also offers a Michelin one-star restaurant on-site (La Toque) and 24 H room service. We will absolutely return to this fabulous hotel on our next trip to Napa!
We held a conference at this hotel. I’m going to say I was not impressed with how they dealt with us for the conference portion of our stay. We had many difficulties with our dealings. Our guests were given a hard time as well. Overall I would not hold a conference at this hotel again. That being said, the hotel staff was great - very friendly and great service. The food was excellent and Ken Frank from La Toque was more than accommodating to us. My issue was with the conference side of things. I didn’t feel we received the value and we were obviously not important to the hotel at all. I’m sure there are other hotels that would love to have a group of people stay for 3 nights. Just not this one.
We selected Napa and this hotel as our first stop of our two week trip to Napa/Sonoma to celebrate our 35th Wedding Anniversary. From our arrival at the front doors, to the time we checked out, the entire staff was wonderful. David one of the valet was super great with providing wonderful suggestions and tips on things to do, restaruants and place to pick up some groceries. As we were there for a week we asked for a room with a refrigator and the very next day we received a room upgrade with a kitchenette. All the staff were super great from the valets that were fast, courteous to housekeeping that provided everything needed during our stay. The hotel was well kept, modern and updated. The rooms were clean, and the furniture and decor were pristine. We enjoyed the wine and hors douerves served by local wineries. Dinner we had one night at the on-site hotel was very good and the wait staff we terrific.
This is the most lovely hotel I have ever visited. The valet service is timely and professional. Dustin, one of the front desk reps, went above and beyond to recommend bars and restaurants. The lobby and common areas are stunning- the indoor-outdoor concept with the firepits and Unwind program. We were upgraded to a one bedroom suite for our celebratory vacation. Upon entry into the room, it was clean and well appointed and airy. The huge bathroom and balcony and fully equipped kitchen made it great for the friends that joined us on our trip to hang out.The room service was delicious and shuttle service quick.I adore this resort and would recommend it to everyone.
Quite possibly the best location in Napa. walkable to the Oxbow market, several restaurants and across the river from downtown Napa.We brought our dog and stayed on the ground floor suites. I have never have such of a pleasurable experience with my dog in a hotel. We will be back.
Ive stayed at this hotel at least five times. The property is beautiful, new and well maintained. It is relaxing and beautiful and is decorated in a way that matches well to the Napa community. The staff is amazing - the bell hops, concierge, front desk, housekeeping and the restaurant staff were all great. I was superbly impressed that every interaction was focused on making my wife and I feel welcomed at the hotel. During our stay, we were introduced to the General Manager of the hotel. Don met us personally to make sure that all of our requirements/expectations were exceeded. This was a great stay and we highly recommend this property to anybody looking for a relaxing break.
I was charged for a deluxe rate when I downgraded to a traditional room. It took a few phone calls to get a discount, not too happy about that, but SPG came to my rescue and fixed it with the hotel. There are always things that a hotel can do better, but it must be weighed with what they already do well. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The Bank Café and room service is very good. Housekeeping is awesome. My recent stay was a little inconsistent compared to previous visits, so Im hoping for a better experience next year.
Stayed for 3 nights with my wife in mid-April 15. Upgraded to a suite, which was amazing and enjoyed a tremendous dinner at La Toque on site. Free tastings during happy hour is a plus. Workout room was nice, but not very big and got busy in the morning later in the week. Staff was very helpful with suggestions. Definitely staying there again! Note: there is some nearby construction, but could not hear anything in the morning or night (at wineries during day).
The location is perfect - right next to Oxbow Public Market and walking distance from downtown Napa. Suites are very spacious and well-equipped with everything you could possibly need (forks, plates, dishwasher, etc.). One of the best features for us was that the property is pet-friendly and there is no pet fee either! Also, free parking is a huge bonus. Overall, we were very impressed and would definitely recommend this property.
The hotel was in a great location to walk to Oxbow Public Market, restaurants, downtown Napa (maybe 10 minutes away) and Model Bakery (for the must try English muffins). The hotel had a great outdoor hot tub that was wonderful to enjoy after a day of walking/biking. Recommend for a weekend away! It has a small kitchenette in the room, too.
We have stayed here many times and return because this hotel is perfectly tailored to our taste. Casual and fine dining options on site are superlative. The saltwater pool and spa are another standout feature. The pool is large enough to do laps in and heated to just the right temperature. Salt water means you can shower when you are done and your skin will smell clean with no hint of chlorine. The rooms are modern spacious and well appointed. The beds have mattresses that are firm with a soft top, duvets that are just the right weight and high quality down pillows. Every time I sleep here, I sleep well.
We had three families plus ourselves for a weeks stay at the Westin Verasa Napa. The three young families had two bedroom suites which were ideal for them. Rooms are spacious, the kitchens are fantastic (though one of the dishwashers had a broken rack). The pool was just wonderful. The only drawback was service for poolside drinks was very slow.We would recommend the hotel and return again. The location of the hotel was also perfect. Walking distance to Oxbow Market and all the wonderful Napa restaurants. Very peaceful setting. THANK YOU!
We stayed the weekend to just relax and have some fun. The location of the hotel is perfect and within walking distance of great places. The staff was terrific especially the guys at the front door who did most of the work. The concierge was great as well. The restaurant Bank had fantastic food. The only negative is the condition of the hotel itself. We had a nice room but it looked worn and had a hole in the wall. Just seems like too new of a hotel to be so worn out. But we would stay there again for the location and value.
It is not often I say this, but I was so comfortable at your hotel I will almost certainly be back. I enjoyed my stay, even thought it rained the whole time I was there. The suite room layout was very nice, and I liked the materials in the bathroom. Of special note was the bartender who mixed fantastic drinks the night I arrived, along with the late dinner - the port was excellent. The peaceful setting near accommodations - close to old Napa for a nice lunch and near Walmart for emergency travel needs was good. I was unable to take advantage of the fitness center due to recent surgery, but look forward to it on my next visit.
The reception check-in was friendly and helpful. Complimentary wine tasting and apps in lobby. The lobby is quite attractive; a big open area with high ceilings next to the Bank Bar and Cafe. The room was a bit small, but the bed was very comfortable, and the room clean. I was a little disappointed that they had no real spa type facilities, only an outdoor hot tub next to the heated pool in the courtyard. I didnt feel like walking 200 feet soaking wet in 38 degree weather, so I passed on the hot tub. I had breakfast in the Bank cafe/restaurant and the forager omelet was delicious.
We just enjoyed 2 nights here this week and I have to say this was the most relaxing and enjoyable hotel stay we have probably ever had. Every single person no matter what role they did at the hotel went out of their way to make it seamless and relaxing. The rooms are amazing and very spacious. We will definitely return and recommend!
We recommended this hotel for guests for the wedding of our daughter. We rented shuttle buses for the guests to and from the wedding venue in St. Helena. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the staff was quickly responsive & helpful. The younger wedding guests loved the availability of the bar until 2 am for an after-party.The pool area was lovely and clean, with nice views. The proximity within Napa Valley makes this a desirable location. Many of the wedding guests were from out of state, and this location was easy to and from SFO.
The Westin is always our choice for the place to stay in Napa. They have even upgraded to a more modern look. The beds are super comfortable. My husband and I requested the first floor and the front desk staff were very accommodating. You will not have a bad experience. You have a short walk to restaurants in the area as well as some of the sites for Napa.
If you have ever stayed in am SPG time share property in Florida then you know what I am referring to.It was extraordinarily underwhelming!!! The furniture in the room was worn out a few years ago. I had a premium suite and I found NOTHING premium about it. I didnt realize we had another couple joining us. If you sat in the living room all you heard were the people in the next room. It sounded like they were in the same room with us. It was the only thing that drowned out thw screaming children in the pool. The towels were worn out. I thought the maid had left her cleaning rags in the room and then I realized she couldnt have because that would have required her to clean. The housekeeping is non-existentThe Bank restaurant is a HUGE disapppintment. They are woefully understaffed once you finally get seated you have to ask for clean dishes. I am guessing they dont have a dishwasher. This was one of the worst experiences I have had in Westin restaurant. Its just filthy. If it was just an isolated incident then I might give them a pass. It was every day.I am surprised at the rates vs the lack of amenities. I love SPG properties and this isnt one of them!!! It is a huge disappointment.
The Westin Verasa Napa is a beautiful oasis in the Napa Valley. The venue is well kept and very modern. Our suite was spacious and overlooked the beautiful grounds and pool. Food and drinks were excellent! I would stay here again and would recommend this hotel to our friends
Last week, my wife and I visited the Westin Verasa Napa to spend time cycling and dining in Napa and Sonoma with two other couples as our guests. We have stayed at this property at least four times prior to this visit. On this occasion, I rented three rooms for a total of 13 room nights. While I am not generally drawn to the “superlative”, the Westin Verasa Napa has “The Best Customer Service” that I’ve ever experienced in any hotel ever..Upon entering the hotel, every guest is faithfully greeted by energetic and polite bellboys. The check in process is fast, inviting and personal. The hotel staff, when passing in the hallways, is trained to stop and say “How is your stay?” Within a day of our arrival, most of our greetings included our names “How is your stay Mr. and Mrs. XXXXX?” The cleaning staff was invisible but always evidenced by the number of times the soap was replaced and the towels were folded. The bar and restaurant staff were equally accommodating. The concierge, upon our arrival, remembered us from our last stay a year earlier and acknowledged us by name when we arrived. The General Manager spoke with us on our second, third and fourth days at the hotel while in the lobby about our stay in both the area and in the hotel.Lastly, while this review is about the incredible customer service that one receives at the Westin Verasa Napa, I would be remiss in not adding that the hotel is beautiful. The rooms are large with high ceilings and the lobby conforms to the beauty that surrounds you in Napa.Simply stated...THE BEST!
We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite.. It was so spacious and comfortable we felt like we were in a home. The staff was extremely attentive, and one person even sewed a button on my husbands jacket when we couldnt thread the needle. La Toque was a real treat, and the pool and jacuzzi were very nice. Gloria Currys spa across the street also added a nice spa experience to our stay. All and all we had a great stay.
For the past 16 years I have maintained Platinum Status with Starwood. I thought it very important to take a moment to share some insights on my past stay here at the property. The occasion of this stay was to celebrate a milestone birthday party for a mother and her daughters. Back in April we started working on this reservation. The property did such a wonderful job setting up a special amenity birthday cake, bottle of champagne, a fruit basket. They also gave a room upgrade and the room was absolutely stunning. More importantly, every time there was an interaction with one of the concierge and welcome desk team member of the hotel they gave nothing less then the VIP red carpet treatment. This experience is totally one for the books and one that will never be forgotten! So for those of you that are reading this review, and are considering coming and staying at the property to celebrate a very special occasion this hotel has a big thumbs up from me endorsing them as a best property in Napa Valley to entrust with such a special occasion. So lastly, I just want to make special mention to Vanessa for all that she did in helping make the stay incredible and also to Nathan for keeping an eye on everything to make sure it was flawless, and a big shout out of thanks and gratitude to the whole staff for everything that they did to make this such a special experience!
After staying there nearly every 8 weeks for the last year, the front desk never seems to remember us. Although my SPG Platinum was supposed to be attached to my corporate account, it has never been. Every time I check in, I have to ask the front desk staff to correct it and they always fail to. Thus, I always have to remind them that I am SPG Platinum and entitled to certain benefits. It doesnt feel good to have to request recognition when I earned it. Whenever I stay at other SPG hotels, they always say welcome back. I stay at the Verasa the most and am never remembered by their front desk staff. In fact, they always ask if its my first time there. I probably have stayed there 10+ times in the last year. Moreover, I have a corporate account, but can never get the corporate rate without calling in and requesting a favor. Corporate rates should be there to reward people for their multiple stays and should be available as long as a room is available to thank us for our loyalty. Rooms are available, but I have to beg them to honor my corporate rate...??? Having a corporate rate at the the Verasa is such a hassle. They definitely dont appreciate loyalty or they would act more appropriately when corporate members reserve rooms. We enjoy the comfort of the room, the gym, the relaxed elegance of the hotel and especially the valet and bar staff. Being frequent travelers for business, we consider the Verasa our home away from home. Unlike the front desk staff and management, the bar staff and valets make us feel special and know us by name. The valets always say welcome back and seem very happy to see us. All of them seem to know us and make a special effort to make us feel welcome. The Bank bar staff is wonderful and know us by name, as well as remember our drink and food favorites. We highly recommend Garth and Bobby, who are fabulous assets! The front desk should take a lesson from the valets and bar staff. They should take the time to get to know regulars, so should management.
We love staying at the Westin in Napa for the Christmas Holidays. It is always so festive at the Hotel. Friendly employees and easy access to all the Restaurants. This hotel is pet friendly so we dont have to be away from our Dog during the holidays. Food was great and in fact the Westin in Napa was the only restaurant open for breakfast on Christmas morning. Free Valet parking was great. Looking forward to staying next Holiday.
The Westin Verasa is the perfect place to stay when visiting NAPA. The location and understated elegance of the hotel were outstanding. I booked a one room suite with kitchen using my SPG points & cash to spend a few nights with Grandma during our visit home to California. We were graciously upgraded to a beautiful 2 bedroom suite overlooking the pool. The location of the room was near ground level and stair access to the pool. The location was perfect for frequent trips back to the room and for Gradma to watch from the balcony . My 7 year old loved to the pool and spent the better part of our time there. The food at La Toque was outstanding, but pricey. My main gripe is that a gratuity of 20% is automatically added to all food services which doesnt necessarily result in good service. Our waiter seemed less than motivated to serve Grandma, a forty something year old and a 7 year old even though our dinner with wine was pretty expensive. I did really appreciate the pool boy pointing out that gratuity was already included and additonaly tipping was not necessary. My only other complaint is the lack of free Wi-Fi and being charged for what is usually complimentary coffee ($3/cup) in the lobby of Starwood hotels. So even with the benefit of SPG status, additional charges seemed to add up quickly. I mention the charges because Grandma insisted on picking up the tab and I felt guilty when I saw the final bill.Still, we really enjoyed our stay and look forward to future visits back to the Westin Verasa. I even saved our room number for future reference. My daughter tells everyone that the hotel & pool were the favorite part of her visit to Calfiornia which is saying something since we covered a lot of ground and stayed in some great hotels.
Quick trip up to Napa for a day and a half. Was glad to see that they had opened points up as we have quite a few saved up from not being able to travel this past year. Didn’t stay very long but definitely enjoyed the heavenly bed for the night. Will come back again.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite for 2 nights at the Westin in Napa. All 4 of us really enjoyed our stay and would recommend staying there to anyone looking for a luxurious getaway. We ate at the conjoined restaurant La Toque, which was convenient but not very memorable of a meal, and its on the more expensive side. It was a good experience but I dont think Ill eat there again. The hotel offers free wine at happy hour between 5-7pm. And free valet service! Two very nice perks!
Friendly staff, but the room cleaning leaves a bit (not a lot) to be desired. My trash had not been emptied from the previous guest and they left a dirty wash cloth one day. The fitness facilitates are very nice. I was there for a meeting and the catered lunches were excellent. Not a ton of meeting space though. My room was at one end of the hotel and there was only one ice machine so I had to walk very far to get to it. I had a full size fridge in my room but the water was not hooked up. The bed was super comfy and I loved the pillows.
The staff attended to every request with a Can Do attitude and a smile. Staff is friendly and accommodating. We especially loved the house car/driver to be shuttled to nearby locations. The hotel is simply a great place to stay and Im glad we picked that hotel for our Napa Trip.
Platinum member with Marriott for the last several years, travel regularly to Westin properties across the United States. Our family and friends chose this property for our Thanksgiving 2019 trip, and we regret booking this property during this time. From the moment we checked in: the valet process, the extremely delayed check-in process, to the restaurant operations, we found this property in the bottom 10% of Westin experiences. With that said, it wasnt so much this substandard experiences within the hotel, when we called to express our concerns across these three different domains the manager simply tried to placate us with a refund of our resort/amenity fees. I told the manager I am not looking for a handout, I was hopefully looking for some type of root cause analysis so future customers wouldnt experience what we did.We stayed in a 2-room suite. While the room was nice, the pillows and bed were average, and the bathrooms were just about average (size of showers, hanging hooks for towels and clothes). In summary, we feel this hotel solely relies on the external demand of tourism in Napa, and doesnt stand on its own for quality of service or customer experience.
Staying at the Westin Verasa in Napa was such a treat! It was more than just a hotel stay, it felt like vacation. From the spa-like smell that hits your nose as you walk in, to the chic and apartment feel of our room, it was perfect. The valet attendants and front desk clerks were polite and attentive to our needs. The breakfast at The Bank lobby restaurant was fresh and delicious. The location was perfect for walking to the market, restaurants and downtown. Thank you!
The Westin is a perfect hotel in Napa. The location is ideal - blocks from the Oxbow Market and easy to get to all the wineries and restaurants. Such relaxing and beautiful accommodations with the perfect Heavenly bed and many amenities. Above all, the staff went out of their way to make our stay perfect - from the early check-in, the surprise room upgrade for our honeymoon to the champagne, chocolates and signed card from staff members. The staff made our honeymoon stay at the Westin memorable. We felt so special!!!

2022-01-22Nicely located in walking distance from the Culinary Institute, various breweries, and restaurants downtown Napa. You can also board the Wine Train here (although we didn’t as we were told it’s overpriced and limits access to some of the more exotic wineries). The hotel has a nice bar, restaurant, conference facilities, and outdoor pool. The workout room is fine even for a longer stay. We found the staff helpful, friendly, and professional. The rooms are modern and well cleaned every day.

2022-07-01The Westin Verasa Napa is located nearby to the Oxbow Market and downtown Napa, making the location attractive for many and a much much better option than the Marriott (see my other review on reasons to avoid). The Westin offers spacious rooms, nice pool area, gym and a decent restaurant (haven’t eaten there yet — options locally are incredible). The Westin is very pricey but it’s location makes up for the difference. We’ve stayed here a number of times and it continues to deliver consistently.

2022-07-04Kayla handled my reservation and was amazing her customer service is top notch and what I come to expect as a Lifetime Platinum/Titanium Guest of Marriott Bonvoy. She was quick and helpful and extremely professional yet kind, as a loyal member I appreciate that type of service it goes a very long way. This property is one of my favorite in Napa as far as Marriotts are concerned, the beds are extremely comfortable, the room are always clean and big and the hotel is quiet.Out side the pool and hot tub are always clean and there is often available space to hang out by the pool. I always receive amazing service while down at the pool. Overall the property is beautiful, I love where it is nestled but the customer service by Kayla is the reason I wrote this review. Thank you, Kayla, for quickly accommodating my request!

2022-02-15I love this hotel. Its a little pricey but well worth the cost. Great location, service and hospitality. Every day that I was there, there was a different winemaker offering samples in the lobby. Splurge and get a suite; you wont regret it.

2022-01-05The rooms are pretty nice. The beds and pillows are excellent. The rest of the furniture was decent but dirty. Especially the couch cushions. The worst part was, all the shampoo and body wash soap dispensers were empty in both of our bathrooms. We had a 2 bedroom and all 3 sets were empty! Very disappointing

2022-05-23Positive: The location was good and the staff were nice. Negative: The rooms are small and very basic for almost $--- per night. I¿ve stayed at a suite in the Archer in Napa and it blows the Westin out of the water and it was the same price. It also seemed similar to the River Terrace Inn which is much cheaper.

2022-05-19Our stay was relaxing— the surprise charge days later was not. When we checked in, we were told that our credit card would be charged for incidentals, should anything occur during our stay. We were not told the amount, nor were we told that we would be charged twice for incidentals. We were and are now trying to get thousands of dollars in bogus charges removed from our credit card bill. When we called to discuss the issue, the first employee laughed about the situation and did not forward my call to her manager. When I called back, I was told that there was nothing Westin could do to lift the charges from my card. Perhaps four thousand dollars in charges don’t faze some guests of the Westin, but these charges do faze us — as does the poor treatment by the “hospitality staff.” If you stay there beware that you may also be hit with a hefty charge and little to no customer service for resolving the issue. We expected better.

2022-05-11Best hotel in downtown Napa. Looks and feels brand new. Nice gym, restaurant, pool and hot tub, it truly feels like a resort. Also, the location can’t be beat. We walked to Napa Distillery, E-bike rentals, and dinner downtown.

2022-06-02I have stayed several times in the past and enjoyed the experience. I had to cancel last minute on a trip to Napa because of illness, Mirasol from the Westin Verasa guest services team was particularly helpful in getting everything resolved for me. Much appreciated.
