2022-06-06The hotel is nice classic and antique atmosphere. The room is also and I loved the room.Super convenient location close to all the stations. :)Their small fitness room is 24 hour open and it was clean.Breakfast place in the hotel was closed during the pandemic they said but there are some options really close to the hotel.

2021-12-07I actually had a few room issues that I considered doing a lower rating, but the staff was so amazing and wanted us to have the best experience possible. They fixed everything as quickly as possible and checked to make sure we were happy. They always greeted us with a smile. The gym was wonderful to use. They offer a history tour for guests. They really try hard to make it a positive experience for guests. Well done!

2022-06-21Positive: The room was small, but cozy. The decor was very nice (I really like the sink). It was dog friendly. Negative: There were several minor issues with the room: The chair was a little too short to work comfortably at the desk, the light on the vanity mirror didt work, the fan in the bathroom didnt turn on, and shower head started leaking on the last day.

2022-05-07This is a nice hotel and if I was only here to be a tourist then its my #1 choice of the 3 Ive experienced this week. The view is, underwhelming, so dont expect to get a room and spend any time in there really relaxing. If you spend a lot of money for the bigger rooms, then the view is slightly better. I got to see it because I almost decided to upgrade and they gave me a little tour. The location is fine, not close to any big things but also not far away from anything either. The best coffee Ive been able to find is next door so thats a big plus. But the restaurant thats adjacent has roaches so avoid it. Their internal restaurant shut down during the Pandemic. The towels are nice, the bed is comfortable, the cheap rooms are about the size of a bathroom in a $500,000 home in Colorado. So, imagine the actual bathroom. The showers actually have height though, the only one here that was above my head.Im here for a long term stay and it was not comfortable for that purpose. The room I was in specifically had an air very poorly placed so it blew directly onto the bed.The front desk staff were all very helpful and friendly and did everything they could to make my stay comfortable. Even the two who seemed grumpy at first were nice when you spoke to them. I got the impression that they were treated well by the owners/ managers. My other two hotels were the Hampton and the Doubletree. This review is my kindest of the three.

2022-06-01Positive: My partners flight arrived early, and staff was able to check us in early with no additional charge. The location is excellent, right near the Gaslamp but far enough to where its quiet. Cute, boutique hotel. Excellent price during busy holiday weekend. Negative: The rooms are small but I knew this before I booked. The walls are thin; I could hear what our neighbors were talking about. Luckily, they were quiet at night and we had a good nights sleep. $40 parking but was expected considering location.

2022-06-21Positive: The lobby is huge and comfortable. The location felt safe and convenient, but not right in the center of the party area so it wasnt too loud. Parking was outdoors, but felt safe. I got a room with a dirty toilet, but got a complimentary upgrade. Negative: Parking cost $40, but on par with hotels in the area.

2022-01-13The staff is super friendly and accommodating. It was a pleasant experience. Just make sure to ask them not to assign you rooms next to the highway. Its so noisy that my wife stayed up the whole night and couldnt sleep. They switched our room and carried our luggage over once we complained. We were told that people in LA are used to such noise. Not us, unfortunately.

2022-05-25Dusty rooms with a lingering smell. Old furniture. Poor housekeeping - they left a spray bottle one time and forgot to clean my room another time. Would not recommend staying here. Otherwise the staff were friendly and welcoming.

2022-03-23The hotel is priced at 5 star rates like the Westin, Marriott etc but falls very short. The hotel was booked based on location, recent renos and amenities. The website is totally misleading. There is no underground parking and you have to walk outside and down a side street dragging your bags to the parking lot. There is no restaurant, lounge or coffee shop in the hotel anymore. The staff was very nice . The room was clean but not very well supplied with towels or soaps etc. Only 1 facecloth and no proper places to hang towels other than 2 hooks. Most rooms have windows looking out onto brick walls and windows of other rooms. We definitely would not recommend this hotel.

2022-05-26(May 20th-25th 2022)The older gentlemen who checked me in was alone and still went out of his way to run up stairs to see if he could find me an ADA room. If thats not top notch customer service I dont know what is! More ppl showed up to be checked in so I didnt press the issue but he left a note making it super simple for me to switch out rooms the next day. I was a bit disappointed with the lack of amenities the hotel offered and also to see the attached restaurant had been closed. Covid I guess. I was placed on the side of the hotel with heavy building construction starting at 7am which I didnt love but my room was clean and functional in all the ways I needed so, no complaints in that area. The staff was helpful. Genuinely nice people. Parking is $40 a day but 100% worth if you have your car downtown. Everything is metered and tickets are pricey. Ask me how I know lol
