I asked to try on Pants. Lady had some attitude while telling me it’s store policy you can’t try on pants BUT all sales are final so when you try them on AFTER you purchase, you can then confirm they don’t fit and then be stuck with pants that don’t fit... she was not much of a customer service lady and also a terrible saleswoman.
Pros:-Clean and spacious-Customer service is good but nothing extraordinary.-Medium amount of space and inventory of about everything (books, movies, clothes, misc.)Neutral:-Small parking lot-Next to Blackstone-I honestly haven’t bought anything before at this thrift store and I’ve been here about a couple of times.Cons:-Surprisingly there is no cons about this place. Conclusion: This is a good basic thrift store but I just can’t seem to find anything here at all that I find interest compared to other thrifts I’ve been. Until then, I don’t expect much when coming here.
One of the workers really nice, the tall girl not as much. We asked about any sales the employee helping us told us about it and told us how to receive 50% off our purchase, her co worker glared at us. Another costumer asked about the discount and she glared at them as well. It aint coming out of her pocket dont know what the big deal was. Also not that great of selection kids clothes mens shirt hardly anything
I used to frequent this specific location because they always had really good clothes. I havent been to this store for over a year until recently and boy has it changed. Maybe I went on a bad day but the store lighting is super dark now, they moved everything around, the carpet they had before is gone, the clothes are not taking up most of the store like they used too, and the selection has gone down hill. When I used to come here before you would see all kinds of goodies whether it was clothes, books, funrniture, shoes etc. I dont know what happened to this store but its not as great as it once was. The prices have also went up a lot, and the specific day I went the employees looked angry.
Not only did I find things worthy of SALVATION bit they had a 50 Percent sale going on so I LITERALLY bought twice as much for the amount of money I went in with. BUT theres certainly a few things Ive noticed while shopping that you dont sell such as vintage or retro lighters, big fan of that ( collector) and any liquor accessories.Hmmmmm.
If you are a firm believer that as a country we create too much waste, you can help reduce your carbon footprint by simply visiting thrift stores. This one carries articles in good condition. Some are cleaned before put tosale as is most furniture, exercise equipment, and clothing. It has try on rooms, a bathroom for public use, and ample parking. Everything is clean, floors, bathrooms, counters, books shelves and so on. Its easy to spend hours here as the staff is constantly shelving articles received. Give it a try, youll never know what treasure you will find.
Wow! Super nice for a thrift store. Clean, well organized, and friendly, helpful staff. I walked out of there with 5 brand name capris in great shape and a cool pink 9x13 casserole dish all for $21! There was a 50% sale on pants. Lol! Wish I had more time to shop longer.
I really like Salvation Army...the selection is good, the prices are great and they have a 15 percent discount for senior citizens. They help people more than most thrift stores. Friendly staff and the store is clean. I shopped at the Fresno Blackstone store yesterday.
My favorite thrift shop in north Fresno. I get a lot of kids clothes here on sale and at times my own. Ive gotten good movies for my daughter and often have found knic knacks I need. Ive found prices to be fair for the most part. My only complaint would be outter wear(like jackets or sweaters) are priced high on kids clothes. But since i only buy them on sale days, this isnt a big issue for me.Staff is great and really helpful.
Employee was incredibly rude. Overcharged me for childrens shoes by ringing them up as adults and refused to refund or assist me because they looked like Womens shoes when they were a childs 4 from a childrens clothing store. Overpriced and bad selection compared to other stores nearby. Now I remember why I havent shopped here in awhile.

2022-03-20Shopping at Salvation Army is not nearly as affordable and pleasant as it used to be. They no longer give senior discounts and charge as much for items as the traffic will bear. Coats are now $19.99 and womens dresses are either $7.99 or $14.99 depending upon what the cashier on duty decides. Today, I purchased a short dress for example. The cashier decided to call it formal and charged me $14.99 when I was expecting to pay $7.99 for a regular dress. When I questioned the price and told her formal dresses are longer dresses, the cashier was rude and kept arguing with me even though I reluctantly decided to purchase the dress since it fit me so well. I recommend checking their price charts and paying attention when a cashier rings up your purchase. Sometimes, one is charged adult prices for childrens clothing, which is never a pleasant experience.

2022-06-13A smaller thrift store compared to others Ive been to in Fresno/Clovis area, but still has lots of vintage items I would expect to find at a Salvarion Army. Been here several times in the list few months and have always been able to find vintage kitchen items or older wood home decor to flip. This place never disappoints. This is my go to thrift store for the kind of items Im usually on the hunt for 👍👍

2022-04-19Tried to donate here and because there was dust on it they said they couldn’t take it. Well, apparently you don’t need donations that bad if you can’t take something because it has dust on it. Do better.

2022-04-25Went in to look for furniture pieces but they didn’t have much. My husband said they used to have a lot. Maybe people aren’t donating furniture that much right now.

2018-03-11Love this Thrift Shop! Staff is friendly and at your service. Half off 50% on most household items and furniture on Saturdays.

2022-01-08Tried to donate gently used toys and childrens clothes that our child has outgrown. My wife spent hours sorting and folding it all. The drop off attendent (who ironically wasnt wearing a mask) rudely refused the items because of covid. More like you cant flip a profit off kids stuff. Dissapointing to say the least.

2021-01-16Jerry and another tall employee or volunteer are possibly one of the worst representatives for The Salvation Army. Not only are they coughing without covering their mouths with their elbows during this quarantine time of must diligence for ensuring customer safety but refused to honor 25% coupon! Have made many donations and believe in sustainable purchasing and what the organization stands for but what my experience has been these last 3x I have been there specially with this Jerry employee or volunteer is absolutely disrespectful to everyone. Hope you fire this Jerry and encourage you to coach everyone there for better customer service. Aside from pricing things at an outrageous rate sometimes the customer feedback on customer service or just plain respect for everyone helping this organization should be a priority.

2021-11-30The gentleman working at this location loaded my donation into the bin with such care and respect—I felt like my donation was valued and appreciated. Impressed with this location and those working there.
