Staff was friendly, first thing through the door one of the staff said Good morning, can I help you. All the clothing is priced at $2.00 which I thought was a very good deal. They had a large selection of clothing, they also have furniture, dishes, home decor & etc. Store was clean & organized, I was pleasantly surprised. I would go back again.
The workers are helpful unloading the stuffs we donated. The store is clean and the staff were nice. Id love to shop again there.
I bought 3 skirts for 19.00. That was great. At a regular store I would have paid 29 to 35.00 for one.I felt real good for cheaper prices and the skirts look brand new. Im happy thank u SalvArmy. MerryChristmas
Every time I have gone in there everyone is so friendly and helpful. Recently was redone on the inside and it looks really nice. Lots of items to choose from, love going there.

Great plac to shop. Low prices, also its a adult rehabilitation center for men who may be homeless, or who deal with drug or alcoholism in their lives. It also has the men going to church on Wednesday nd Sundays.
I didnt even know there was another salvation army . I passed by on july 15 & i had to stop to go in there . I found some stuff and when i went to check out my reciept didnt look right . I tried to tell the cashier but she wasnt listening so i left . I had to pick up some furniture from the back of the store & i showed an employee my reciept & grabbed all my items to show her . I thought i was reading it wrong but the cashier did over charged me by $4 . This employee that helped me i wish i remembered her name she was amazing how she handled the situation & helped me out . At first i was like i dont want to come back but after she fixed everything & handled it so amazing i will be back forsure . It turned out to be an awesome first time going there . I never write reviews cause alot of places i go to they are so rude but i had to write one here because that employee had the best customer service ever !!!!!! ☺️
Sometimes I find some really cool stuff. I dont always love their prices on everything but they often have coupons and a sale at the end of the month.

Cool thrift store but pricey.
Its got some descent furniture clothes are not good here they send them all to Ming store. Basically all the good stuff goes to Ming and they keep all the good dress jackets for suits in the back and other jackets in a closet for God knows what. Probably for staff.
Used to work there 25 years ago. Still a good place for a baragin.

I was a volunteer at Sally for over 5 years. Sponsored many in the program during that time, provided a free taxi service. Had to leave town for a year to care for my elderly mother, when I returned I found I was no longer welcome there.

I didnt !!! First off, I found a selection of jeans to try on stood in line for the ONE dressing room to be cleared, not one sales worker came by . The moment my sister ( who had 1 pair of jeans ) and I closed the door, a sales associate came to the door and LOUDLY said there are only THREE items allowed in room! Being a solid shopper at this address, NEVER have I been told this. My sister stuck her head put and addressed the worker, saying there are no signs saying this AND THE SALES ASSOCIATES REPLY THEY ARE BEING MADE!. She then said she could take the rest of the apparel to the front desk, meaning we would lose the room each and every time we would have to leave to get next items! , and after waiting fifteen minutes to get the room, i dont think so...needless to say, I did not try other items on! Out of the three that I DID try on I found the pair I wanted. My sister and I finished looking throughout the store, and walked up to the counter to purchase our items. When it was my turn, I told the sales clerk that my item had no tag, she said ok, Ill be right back, when she returned, she advised me that she could not sell me the jeans without a tag!!!! Really??? My sister has been a customer for many years, and has donated several nice items, and in all the time she has been coming here, there has not been a sign one that states NO TAG, NO PURCHASE! Nor has she been told otherwise! Very poor business tatics, to make up rules as they come! Please people, you get these items free of charge, if anything, when an item has no tag, the least you could do is offer the customer to purchase the item at highest dollar ( meaning, to charge the highest price if a pair of jeans!) . Throughly disgusted with this store, will not return nor donate a single thing to this location! Thank you for nothing!

HORRIBLE. Ive been trying to GIVE AWAY a HUGE lot of clothing and some household goods, and these guys are by far the WORST excuse of a charity I found after calling ten different places around Tehachapi and Bakersfield. Based on their actions, they are not interested in receiving donations. Ill be sure to stay far away from the Salvation Army in Bakersfield.

2022-05-16Theres a lady that doesnt work there that would go through the new racks & nobody says anything, but I do it I get told I cant do that. Whats up with that? & I know shes a reseller cause Ive seen her at the Swapmeet every weekend selling clothes. You guys are POS for doing that.

2021-12-23If I could give 0 starts I would. My issues is the fact that when u try and go through the new racks that they are putting out the ladies who work there will start to yell at u that “u aren’t allowed!” BUT they will let a known union swap meet reseller go through them with the excuse that she is “helping” put the clothes out. THAT IS NOT FAIR!!! Either we ALL get to go through them or their little “helper” should have to wait like everyone else for an actual worker to put them out. Also keep in mind that this so called “helper” will have 2 baskets full of clothing to resell but any Joe Schmo of the street just trying to find some decent clothing for the family gets yelled at. That’s bull! She is there almost everyday. It’s infuriating!

2021-07-24I went for a kaftan and was able to find a very pretty one along with another pretty long sun dress. Picked up some nice scarfs for head wraps. I’m a very happy and satisfied customer. Besides, the prices are great!!!

2021-08-19Went shopping here and they dont really have a lot of variety like Goodwill... they still dont have the fitting rooms open so on top of them not having great stuff they loose business cause people want to try on clothing. I also didnt like that the ladies that work there are gossiping about other workers as they work, Im shopping and have to be listening to that and the workers there do not seem to like their job.

2021-10-12Horrible experience ever! I can understand staff being a little more observant due to chronic theft but following me ALL over the store and staring me down two feet away is ridiculous. She went out of her way to be rude! Never felt so uncomfortable shopping ever in my life. What happened to 6 feet distance?
