Terrific! Don’t let the location or exterior appearance fool you, this place is a local gem - very nice bar with TV’s to watch sports, and beyond that a separate more intimate area for quiet dining. And the food! We had halibut special with spinach and a wonderful sauce, veggies on the side and a perfect chowder. I’ll be back!
So Im here now. The bartender told me my chicken wrap is gonna be made to order, ok awesome I thought. I didnt even ask about that..but..ok cool bring it. I get my Chicken Wrap its cold...room temperature, no heat. I said way is my chicken cold if hes making it fresh. You mean the same old chicken that you just talked bad about other restaurants doing.Oh Im sorry Ill get you another one. Wow!
Im so sorry to Carlos the server. He was a great sport to a group of drunk women coming from work and even though one was acting too friendly with him I give this man 10/10 for staying professional. Thank you for letting us event a birthday. Pasta was 9/10 would order again
Stumbled onto this place by accident. In town for a convention. It was close and recommended. I sat at the bar and the bartender Benjamin made my night. Great conversation and service. He’s a great asset to this place. It’s cozy. Food was good. Zucchini appetizer was meh. But the chowder was tremendous. 8 oz filet was very good. For me the overall was 4.5 stars. Benjamin had a lot to do with my nice evening. I’d go back no doubt.
This place is such a treat! The atmosphere is so cozy and the wait staff extremely friendly. I had the salmon with veggies and mashed potatoes and I cleaned my plate. Also got the chocolate mousse dessert and it was delicious. Definitely will recommend waiting here to friends!
I admire this restaurant! They serve sensational food, they have a rich menu, The chief cook in that place is well trained, I love very much eating all their food. The dishes are consistently fresh and tasty, the service towards the customers is friendly. I often go to this place and I not even once was unsatisfied. Highly recommended.
Was there on 4/3/21 and although they checked my temp, they were not following many Covid precautions. The TVs were on in the bar and the bar was packed with people standing and sitting. Guests were walking around the bar and restaurant without masks. The food was good, but not worth the risk.
Dont let the looks on the outside fool you, its very nice inside. Staff was friendly and attentive. I had the ribeye special and the streak didnt have great flavor, not sure if they season while grilling, stuffed potato needed some salt and I probably would have preferred a regular potato with butter and sour cream. The dinner salad with there house dressing was delicious. Fresh and good size.
Service was fairly friendly. The online reviews mention the cheesy bread was good so we tried it and it was. The house dressing on the dinner salad was excellent since it was different. However everything else from there was downhill. My New York steak cooked medium was bland and unseasoned. I never use A1 sauce on steak and give my wife a hard time when she does but I needed it in order to finish. My wife had the Chilean sea bass which felt undercooked and had a fishy taste. Shrimp cocktail also tasted a little fishy. Im torn because I dont like to give reviews after one time and maybe it was an off night but I will never come here again. Extremely disappointed as Ive always wanted to try this place and Ive always been supportive to local establishments.
Excellent food and relaxed atmosphere. Just got new management. I had the filet of sole with a creamy sauce and shrimp. I get it whenever I go there, but chef likes to make it a little different some times. I always love it! My business associates from BNI like the place too.
I have always seen this restaurant and have been wanting to go here. Tonight, I finally did and I am glad that I did. It was almost empty except for a few people at the bar. It is much nicer inside than the outside leads on. The menu is pricey, but the food is good and worth it and I had excellent service
We met with friends at this place for a meeting. we heard about this place from a lot of people. Well, it was a winning. The staff welcomed us with a smile and we felt fantastic. The meal was yummy. We had a great time and we will definitely return to this restaurant. We recommend this place to all.
I loved this quaint little restaurant/lounge when Gary Bric owned it. The new owners kept the existing menus of great American food and added Italian entrees. I’ve tried a different dish every visit and all my choices have been great. The desserts are also good, in particular the homemade cannolis. You’ll love the old school vibe, reasonable prices and nice service. Highly recommended!
This site is my favorite place. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to visit this restaurant. Whenever I want to go to a good lunch, this is the place that comes first to my head. exeptionalgorgeous and food and a large list of dishes.helpful crew, and pleasant vibes. Also, the price is modest. I tell about this place with pleasure.
Great food, friendly staff! The owner Gary stopped by and introduced himself and we chatted about the great season the Dodgers are having. I requested a substitution for my meal since Im on a low carb diet and all my needs were happily met. Ill definitely eat here again when Im back in town!
Have eaten here many times but it had actually been numerous yrs betwen visits. Thank heavens it still has excellent food and great service. The garlic bread is awesome, great steaks, full bar, great wait staff. The parking a bit tight due to them being well patronized by locals.
Our favorite place for a great dining experience. Sure there are plenty of big name restaurants but The Ramp is our place for a great time out. Tasty drinks and delicious eats. Service is adequate due to volume of guests. I have no quarrel with that. Always made to feel at home. My wife and I are and will be return customers for a very long time.
This hole in the wall is amazing!best steak ever. My cousin had the Salmon and he was very impressed with the freshnes and quality. Our appetizers just as good, their stuff mushrooms delicious.and plenty to choose when it comes to drinkong. Come and visit. You wont regret it.
This is a gem you may have passed by a million times without so much as a glance. In fact, if you have ever used the South-bound ramp on to the 5 freeway from Hollywood way, then youve practically driven right over this resteraunt (thus the name).Food here is on the pricey side, but does not disappoint.Be forewarned, the front part of the establishment is a bar, but I have dined here with my teenage daughter without any issues. Great place for excellent steak.
Good food, a bit outdated of a menu, but that is what I like. An older style of American Steakhouse, with an excellent selection of fresh sea food too. A large wine selection and a full bar. Only downside is the parking lot is a hit small and angled in an inefficient way.
I quite nearly wept with joy. I may have just had the best food ever. Love in every bite. Shared a meal with my daughter here today. We had the filet, cooked to perfection, every bite tender and succulent, beautifully creamy mashed potatoe and fresh, steamed vegetables, broccoli and a greenbean, corn, pea, carrot succatash; perfectly seasoned and oh so delicious. We also had the fried calamari. Wow. Lightly battered and fried with a delicious marinara. Ended with the tiramisu, the best Ive ever had.Friendly, professional staff, Nancy our waiter, and Jose, the new owner.Hooray for The Ramp; you have restored my faith in humanity.
January 6, 2017UPDATE REVIEWOk... raising my 4 star to a 5 star. The Brics have been busy bees this past year and there have been some great improvements, so I thought it was time to change my review to reflect all that hard work!Weve been going to Gary Brics Ramp for many years. My husband has been going for several decades (before it was Gary Brics). I love this place! The food is amazing. We always get the large portion dinner plate and have them split it for us. Ample food for both of us. Dinners come with bread rolls, steamed vegetable, potato option (twice baked, baked, french fries, rice) and soup or salad. The steaks are great, but we go for the amazing fish! Ive had all the versions of every catch and they are all excellent. I think Im most partial to stuffed sole or the Chilean seabass. All their sauces for fish options can be interchanged. Say you like the sauce on the salmon but want seabass?... just let them know. We almost always get CALIFORNIA STYLE. Its not always on the menu, but they always have it. They add $3 to the large meal but its so worth it! Yummy krab, fresh avocado, and hollandaise sauce. Mmm mmm mmmm!Other great options, we like, are the steamed clams and clam chowder soup! Ive been all over Massachusetts and their steamed clams & chowder blow away any restaurant on the east coast! We are also very fond of the bar menu. Some nights we just go in for a burger and a fish sandwich with fries, onion rings...or our favorite frings. Yup...its a deal, under $10. Cheaper than fast food! And WWAAAYYY BETTER!The bar is a casual, friendly and inviting place to belly up to the bar and grab a drink,.. sit at a copper top high top or table and grab a meal and watch the game on the multiple flat screen tvs,.. or meet up with friends before dinner. The wait staff is always very busy, but incredibly nice. You cant miss Shelly, the owners wife, running around taking orders, getting drinks and greeting customers. Tonight we were served by Alicia. Weve seen her face around, but today I got her name. She was very friendly and attentive. PERFECT!The drinks have gone up in price over the years, but youre going to get a nice drink for the increased price. (Weve been coming here for so for years, prices going up was bound to happens) Still a deal considering. And now that were older, were not sucking down so many anymore anyways lol! Love my Manhattans, and Gary knows how to make a good one. Still wish theyd carry Jim Beam, but the Makers Mark is a good substitute.Gary, the owner and former Mayor of Burbank, can be seen chatting with people at the bar while mixing drinks or working the parking lot to get as many cars into the lot as possible.. especially on a Saturday night. The biggest change that Im really loving is the updated decorations and overall look of the dining room. The cool photos of yesteryear are a great addition and I can only hope they continue to bring in these treasured photos of our beautiful city, framed in modern black frames against the natural wood walls. Theyve also added small vases of (artificial, but very nice) flowers that create a much softer and inviting ambience. We love this place and definitely feel everyone should stop in... sit at the bar, watch a game and mingle with the local Burbankians. We are friendly folk and love to start a conversation up with anyone willing to listen! Its always good to make a reservation!!... but if you havent, dont let it stop you from doing in.A TRUE GEM IN BURBANK!!
We love the Ramp! The interior is old school bar and restaurant with vintage wood paneling, fantastic food and outstanding service. Shout out to Tom who had patience, humor and wonderful table side service. Get a baked potato so you can enjoy getting dollops of butter and sour cream ladled on at your table to your heart’s content.
Ive gone to Gary Brics infrequently for over 20 years. Gary tends bar most of the time and used to be in local politics. The crowd is pretty much regulars and usually fill up the bar area. The average age of patrons is about 60-65, and, a few times Ive seen a few grumpy old men and/or women protest something or other.Their good cuts are in the $35 to $40 range. Steamed clams or mussels are good as an appetizer, around $15. The garlic bread is pretty damn close to the Smoke House golden beauties, about $6 for a full order.
Newly remodeled and within walking distance of our house. We had been once before. I think we go about once a year, long enough to forget. Its a tiny dark place. That smells like a Las Vegas hotel(smoky) when you walk in the door through the bar but soon disappears. The salads were watery like they didnt dry the lettuce. My guy enjoyed his NY steak. My t-bone was delicious on the little side and just ok on the big side. The potatoes were good. Is it wrong to want a $75 dinner to be magical?
This place is a diamond in the rough... or to be more accurate under a freeway on ramp. Wood pannel walls, cozy and no cellphone rule while in dining area so you may need to 😮 talk to your friends. Surprisingly great food and great service. You have to check this place out.
I had the pleasure of meeting Gary Bric himself. I saw this place just off the freeway exit and figured why not. Unfortunately the kitchen was closed for the night so no food available but I was able to grab a couple beers. Reasonably priced and good service. I want the chance to come back to try the food but I was also informed it will be under new Management in a month or so.... Can you really enjoy Gary Brics Ramp without Gary Bric?
Great quality of meat dishes traditionally served steak, chops, chicken.I hear the seafood faire is awesome and I will attest that the place doesnt have thatfishysmell.I personally dont eat 🐟 but everyone that I have talked to LOVE the seafood. The owner is there everyday making sure the high quality standards are practiced that makes a very satisfying lunch and dinner experience.

2022-05-31This is a modern place. A lot at any time of the day. The service is very good. We were served Thomas. Very pleasant, polite, friendly young man. He was very attentive and made sure everything went well with us. We went for a business lunch and found the place a bit to loud for this type of meeting. Great for friends. They have a bar with tables where you dont need a reservation. Did I say the baking section? They have the best cakes and desserts downtown. Also at check-out from the hotel, if only for this. The beef salad was very good and their bread was home baked.

2022-04-05The food here is outstanding. All of it is so good and I have the hardest time actually narrowing down my choices to one order. Great family atmosphere, quaint and lovely, the service is amazing, and don’t even get me started on the desserts… they are the BEST EVER!

2022-05-26I have been to this restaurant several times and have never been disappointed. Steak Florentine is as good as any Ive had in the world, Saturday night roast pork will actually make you think of dinner on Saturday rather than another night. The waiters are professional and attentive. My favorite restaurant in Los Angeles.
