Definetly the Best Home Depot in San Diego area a must one stop shop. Vicki and Rosa are the abadolute best they went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied customers and took the extra time out of their day to make sure we left the store with the product we need exceptional service! I hope Home Depot values them as much as we do!
There is literally no one to help this Home Depot need to hire like 5 more employees so they can help…. I can’t even imagine if it’s bz hr…. Unbelievable!!!! Corporate greed is insane! Yeah that’s why they are billionaires!!!!! Poor employees!!!! Working non stop there…. I finally got help after like 20 minutes but workers there are definitely exhausted!!!! Feel so sorry for them !!!! Working like that For probably minimum wage!!!! Insane!!!!! Meanwhile Home Depot net worth is like $500B lol
Very nice employees. They give it discount for military and veterans. They have a new process where you register one time and then using your phone number I believe will allow you to continue to get a discount. They are very helpful in answering questions. You do sometimes have to look for an employee who is not helping someone else or busy. Still a good buying experience.
It was very busy. The parking lot was almost completely full. I tried to buy a Brute trashcan lid I saw on homedepot.com but they told me I couldnt buy it by itself, I had to buy the trashcan too. I said, but you have it for sale by itself online and you have it in stock here. And they told me I could only buy it by itself online and not in store. That was a little upsetting and didnt really make sense to me. I went to the store to buy it so Id have it in time for Christmas, if I wanted to buy it online I would have bought it from the convenience of my couch. Ill be back only because its convenient for me.
Try not enterupting the customer at 800 pm at night loading up sand bags after 15 min purchase to get a signature for a debit transaction. I ended up losing a personal item for the enteruption looking for the receipt so it could be signed off after I already purchased the items from the same person. Also to the, okay boss reverential 5 times in 30 seconds. Im not your boss and it is over kill. Other than that a delightful experience! 😊
I called looking for a specific Christmas tree. They had 3 team members looking for this tree fir me today at 4PM. Anna was the one who rung me up and answered my call. They were all so kind and helpful!! This store is 20 minutes away, but Im willing to make the drive because of these three outstanding team members!! Thank you all!!!
Every time I go to Home Depot I get great service from knowledgeable staff. My experience on 12/22 while I was returning a few items really was exceptional as the level of service from Dariana in returns I feel has set even a higher benchmark. Her overall product knowledge, very efficient service, attention to details and great communication skills was refreshing. But It was that combination along with her affections smile, showed pride in her job that left me with an overall great experience.She was very helpful in directing me to where I could find a product I was looking for and genuinely cared in explaining that product to me.It’s not only all the new products on the shelf and innovation within those product lines that make HD the best, it’s also the knowledgeable and genuinely caring employees , like I just experienced that make for a overall wonderful shopping experience.
I experienced great customer service throughout the store. Several employees would offer to assist me or answer any questions I might have. Explained products such as differences between certain types of items and quality. Additionally, the flooring department has the largest inventory of beautiful tiles I have ever seen. Nicely done!
I am not sure if this was the case of me getting lucky, but my first time there was a very enjoyable experience.All of the staff that I encountered were incredibly helpful, and knowledgeable about where things were and how to use them. I have often gone to other Home Depots and not found the staff to be quite as helpful. I was thoroughly impressed with the overall experience I had there.
Called to check about the project saw. Construction Manager answered the phone and gave me a run down of parts on order, etc, then when I asked if he knew when it was going to be functional he started in with saying do you have any other questions maybe 3 or so times. Then he just hung up on me.Completely obnoxious.One problem employee can lose a business thousands in revenue. Hope this construction manager produces real profits for the store.
Ive been in a lot of Home Depots. I wouldnt put this one near the top. The front walkway was extremely crowded with standalone displays, making it difficult for people with long carts to make the turn at the end of the aisle. This, in turn, would lead to traffic jams in the aisles. Management needs to walk away form a few additional bucks in impulse buys in order to improve the overall store experience!The self checkout was broken when I went.The cashier was extremely friendly and prompt.
Our go-to project store. Love that you can browse inventory online. Helpful staff although at busy times waiting may be required. Plant nursery stocks plants that grow well in region. Self check out is wonderful when you have forgotten something as it allows quick in and out. Paint, appliance and flooring centers knowledgeable.
Store was out of stock for a material I needed for moving. I needed the material now but it was going to take a while for it to be restock. However, Bryan went out of his way to finding me a replacement. I cant express how grateful I am. Thank you so much! Home Depot is lucky to have him. I had such a great experience.
Very helpful very nice people I just cant imagine being a better place to be able to be helped from they had exactly what I wanted they went and got it from me they even brought me a shopping cart when I couldnt carry it the lumber was kind of heavy and it really helped out having that shopping cart I would send all my friends there Ill always shop at home Depot they were the only person that had the exact thing I looked for I did have to go to three different stores to get it but you know what they called around and they made it very easy on me I pray that from now on everybody uses home Depot as their first thought thank you very much for taking my review
Good setup, staff was nice, and it was clean. Their was a problem that happened at check out where the line was being blocked and one of the staff members didnt seem to be able to help. He busy kinda left me there with no answer as to what to do. Luckily another stuff member cant by a couple minutes after to help me. Everyone else was very helpful though.
Special (door) order nightmare. Wait 3 MONTHS, delivered damaged and returned. Wait 3 MORE MONTHS, delivered and damaged, again. 6 MONTHS=NO DOOR. Just as well, as HDs installation customer service was horrible in not returning calls (Justin) to schedule an installation that we never needed. Only the door sales guy--Martin--was stellar. Cancelled order after 6 MONTHS and went elsewhere. It cannot be any worse there.
Ive been shopping home Depot stores for along time. Sports arena. Clairemont. OR genesse and Balboa. Now Im at the Fairmont store. Live off 15 & Adams. With the virus they gave taken precautionary measures. In my opinion not enough to help the return personell or the cashier. I believe they have become lacking in protection. I was at the store returning merchandise. The lady who helped the customer before me was excellent in all areas! EXCEPT when he left she did not wipe or clean her hands or station in which she touched. I give her my license & she touched my card right after she touched his card. Oi said excuse me. And explained the importance of TCB after each customer. Seems we have become lacking.
Parking lot lights were not on when I visited. Parking lot was full so I had to park aways from entrance and exit door. Would have been no problem if the lights were on, but for a single white female at night time a little scary. Staff was helpful in finding what I needed very knowledgeable.
Online order fulfillment was a joke, almost 24 hours after my purchase my 3 items were still not ready for pick up. They charged me for one item they claimed was out of stock, took several days for my refund. I expected a little more coordination and courtesy from the largest hardware store in the country.
Decent for a home depot but the aisle ways are kinda small to maneuver if you have wood or pipes. Did ask for a pallet of retaining wall stones to be loaded onto a trailer. We had to ask for someone several times and it was about a half hour before they came out to help. The employees were kinda rude about helping
This Home Depot is to crowded all the time. Even though the business iscgreat it is just to crowded. The customer service is good also and they are out of some thing some time. I just feel that,there more that they can do to make shopping a little better or easier for customers.
They had a great selection of Christmas trees. I’ve always wanted a live one to reduce waste of cutting down trees and tossing them. They had a nice yet simple selection of lights and vs. The $79 the Christmas tree lot wanted for the same one at Home Depot for only $25! Surprisingly easy and a good experience
Very helpful as all home depots Ive been too... Seems like they have an employee on every isle. They need to teach all those employees how to work the darn key making machine..haha. Every time I go to get a key made it always an issue and a long wait to get one made. Half the time the key will work ... So dont expect too much in that department.. Other then that its all good.
Each Home Depot is better for different things. This one is best for home project supplies. For example, this store did not have the fence pickets I needed for a fence but did have all the bbq supplies and electrical supplies for other projects. Check online and see whats in stock before making a trip!
I have a blast when it comes to home depot. They have more then what I need. This Is one of the last stores to have restrooms. Loading zones. A great place for net working. You can even find help right outside the building for a reasonable price of coarse.good service
This is a great Home Depot! The store is immaculate and the employees are very helpful and friendly. You wouldnt even know that Covid was a thing right now based on how well they treat their customers! The cashiers handle themselves with grace and patience, and never show signs of stress. They always go far and above to help me with all of my needs. Theyre extremely insightful and direct me in the right direction. I am so grateful to have a store like this in my community, where ordinary citizens are willing to risk their own personal well being to ensure that business carries on as usual for all of us. #community #united
Home Depot use to have an excellent quality of help.People who were proud to assist and knew what they were talking about.The quality of assistance has strongly deteriorated.In the past few visits, it seems I am dealing with people who are just hired as I have entered the store with the attitude that they neither care about being there nor about my problem I am visiting Home depot for!!!Oh well...
Brian the manager has no idea what the rules are for the return policy. He refuses to be wrong and would not look at the Home Depot website to confirm the RIGHT return policy. He does not know how to speak to customers. When he is tired of looking at you, he will walk away.
I wouldnt say this is my favorite Home Depot but it definitely ranks up in the top 5!! Its always has a good amount of humans Milling around so I would not plan on an in-and- out endeavor! The staff here is always pretty polite and something I dig is that They have always been knowledgeable about whatever my Project was at that moment in time. How could you not give Home Depot 4+ stars!? Its my adult toy store for darn sake.
This is the best HD location in San Diego. Today a young guy, around 19 helped me in lumber and Steve (I think is his name), older gentleman in Lumber were amazing! Stopped going to other locations and drive out of my way for the amazing service here. PL people are not as kind... the best part... the country music blasting on the PA system. That hit the spot.
In-store response to COVID-19 is horrible. There are no visible distancing efforts. People brush against you as they walk by, push by you in the garden dept. aisles, and I had 2 sales associates in a deep discussion walking so close behind me I had to ask them to back off . Almost no one tries to pass at 6 feet. I’m done going into this store for a while. Will only use curbside pick-up. There are absolute no rules or guidance about behavior. It’s the wild, wild West. Many people choose to practice distancing but enough don’t that it’s not worth it. Too dangerous.
I ordered flooring on-line. Later I received a text saying the order was ready for pick-up. About 1hour later I showed up and they couldnt find the order, it was over 3 pallets of flooring and they couldnt find it. It took about 40 minutes and they showed up with 1 pallet, which was fine because my truck could only carry 1 pallet at a time. They said I could just come back to the loading dock to pick up the others, they would have them ready for me. 45 minutes later I was back for my next pallet, it wasnt at the loading dock and nobody knew anything about it. About 60 minutes later they finally brought a half pallet. They were very apologetic and said they were real sorry and they would make sure the remaining pallets were at the dock and ready for me. I show up for the next pallet and once again, no pallet of flooring. Another hour later I get the last pallet and the remaining half pallet. Something that should have taken about an hour ended up taking over 3 hours of my time just waiting. If they say your order is ready for pick-up it should be ready.
I love my Home Depot it is my favorite place to go because I continuously do crafts and give to the less fortunate. Everyone at the location of Fairmount Avenue are wonderful theyre very helpful Ive never been discouraged anytime Ive ever went into Home Depot. Its very easy to find what you need and if you cant read the signs where its at or youre confused theres always someone there to help you.
I have been shopping at HD for a long time and need to continue for a lot longer. So I really appreciate it when I get excellent support.Yesterday, Leslies quality of leadership, problem-solving, and customer support did not go unnoticed.Thank you Leslie & Home Depot.
I was lied to about the price of a truck rental, was charged a much higher rate, and when I asked the manager to fix the situation he said, you have issues and threatened me. Do not trust this store or these employees. They do not stick behind what they say and have rude customer service. For the sake of the safety and ethical handling of other shoppers, this issue will be escalated to the corporate level.
This is a very busy Home Depot with alot of older people blocking the isles with their carts as they look at products. Each person I approached actually acknowledged they were blocking and moved their cart. Three times in less than 5 minutes. I was amazed. Must be the caliber of folks that live out in the area.
Never would have thought of picking up cleaning supplies here, when I saw decent prices and went inside and found an excellent stock. Fast and easy. The self check out lane assistant lady apologized for the idiot that cut in front of me, I thanked her for her assistance and went on with my day.
This is a Mission Valley Home Depot Im reviewing here. Got a battery for my new leaf blower. Got a light bulb for my refrigerator. Got some plants for my Mom supposed to be looking for an aloe vera plant they have that in their Garden. Pretty much any Home Hardware thing you need Home Depots got it great store.
Good people ... working on an air conditioning problem with management. They are making good on fixing an installers poor performance. This would be five stars, but for a glitch in Home Depots computer system that has caused a slippage of at least 2 days. Still ... fine people.
I am a Property Manager with several bldgs. I manage. The main reason we pick Home Depot as our Go-To store, is they carry every item we need to fix, repair and maintain all our tenants units, the bldg., parking lots and more. If we cant find something on the shelf, HD will order it for us, no problem. The staff are nice, knowledgeable and helpful. The Owner and I are Veterans. HD even gives Veterans a discount whether they have an account or paying at checkout. We have tried other places and no of them could give us and our needs the whole package like HD.
Home depot has pretty much anything you will need for projects. We already know that. Prices are ok... Sometimes they have great sales. Where the real difference comes into play at these stores is the customer service.. or shall I say, Lack there of. This location is no different. It takes me forever to find staff to help me find something in their gigantic store. And when i finally do 9 times out of 10 they make me feel like Im bothering them while on their break. The ladies up in the front registers are terrific though. 😉
What can I say it is a Home Depot, its like most others but this is my Home Depot. I am here at least twice a month.The customer service is awesome as always. Everything is laid out like most of the stores.Only warning with this location and is the city not Hope Depot, is the rush hour traffic. It cant take a minute or two to get out.
Its Home Depot, the McDonalds of home improvement (as long as your sought-after item is in stock, so call first). Nothing particularly special about this one other than the helpful and knowledgeable staff. Reminder: please use an actual sales associate to pay for your purchases as those incredibly frustrating self-checkouts put people out of a job (just sayin)
Went to pick out a Christmas Tree, and pick up some incidentals,found everything we needed. There was only a couple of employees who said hello, out of about 10 that pasted us. Not one asked if they could help us find anything! There was a group of 3 lot attendants standing around BSing. HD needs to have more ASMs or DHs walking the floors,encouraging the associates to help Customers. Oh a big one, you need to have MORE REGISTERS OPEN, INSTEAD OF SELF SERVE, AND THEN THERE WAS ONLY A COUPLE OF GALS HELPING CUSTOMERS! Also where was the SM. I thought they had to work Saturdays, or was this just in the past?
Mundane/average type home depot, employees are every bit as pleasant and cooperative as they are trained to be, clearance sections contain the typical disorder of misplaced items and empty packages.If home depot would post online or send email blasts (to opt-in subscribers) of what genre items are on clearance at which locations, that would be a more effective way to evacuate old stock; i consistent see specific types of items in clearance at certain home depots, as if those are the locations selected to most effectively appeal to the opportunistic bargain buyer handyman/solution specialist with clients requesting assistance with installation of whichever category has the overstock. Theres like question tradesmen often conglomerate at or frequent specific locations for familiarity and efficiency, thus it is certainly possible that home depot has determined which contractors go where and have optimized the experience for each.
I feel like family with this store. I have been a customer since this store opened and I cannot even begin to list all the acts of incredible customer service they have consistently given me over the years. And not just little things.... Theyve done some huge things to make me a satisfied customer. Needless to say, I make EVERY possible effort to buy anything I can from them. This is a GREAT store with an awesome staff!!

2022-03-20Excellent experience yesterday at the Home Depot when buying a grill. I took a picture of the price tag from the grill I wanted, walked in and paid for it, walked out, the parking lot team unlock the grill for me and started to help load it into my car… Then we hit a snag, the grill was too big for my car. Three wonderful, polite, hardworking people, Connor, Gilberto and Romeo, worked for 15 minutes or so figuring out how to get one of the side shelves off the grill so it could fit in my car. When it look like it wasn’t going to happen, on their suggestion, I started the process of renting a pick up for 75 minutes @ $20 to drive it home. What a great perk they offer, and I’ll keep that in mind for other stuff I need. Pulled out of the lot with my rented pick up and they had just figured out how to get the grill into my car, so Romeo took the keys and got the rental all canceled out for me without anything for me. Got the grill home and set up easy, and now have a go-to spot for home improvement and garden type stuff. Overall, the store seem so well staffed and everyone was friendly. in the future it will give me confidence try to figure out my next project, Knowing that they will have people available to help me figure out what I need. Thank you so much

2022-06-24Quick and easy trip this time. Found the item online before leaving the house and it gave the option to text me the aisle and bin number for the location. Did that, got to the store and it was where the text said it would be!

2022-05-29Great for buying tools and such, but dont buy an appliance from here. They completely bungled our oven installation, delivery, and old appliance removal. The delivery company they use doesnt seem to communicate to the actual store, and no matter how many calls I made nobody could ensure a) that the delivery/removal company would call to confirm they would be arriving, b) that they would call the correct number, or C) that they would even show up.Twice they arrived on a day we had not scheduled, twice they arrived and left without calling or knocking, and when they finally did arrive to remove the old appliance (a month after delivering the new one... which they wouldnt install because it was hard wired, something the salesperson didnt discuss and actually made me purchase a new power cord), they failed to call my wife whose number I provided to multiple managers because I was going to be out of town for work. I was lucky to be in between meetings or I would not have taken the call. Again, no call the day prior to confirm or anything reasonable like that.The best part: a week and a half after they finally removed the old oven I got a call from the delivery company saying they were on their way to deliver my new oven! 😀 🙃🙃🙃🙃 cant make this up!Never again.

2022-04-19Today I received exceptional service at this location. I was looking for locks which were not stocked on the shelf as someone took the last one, and a store associate, Kaylee, pulled up and asked if I needed assistance. This was the first time in quite some time that I was approached and offered help, rather than me having to stop someone and ask for assistance. From there, she hunted down a large ladder and gave me the cart that she was using so I could carry everything. She then proceeded to offer solutions to make my life easier such as delivery or pickup options. Overall, Kaylee went above and beyond and left a great impression of how the Fairmount Home Depot operates. Thank you Kaylee!

2022-06-18Delivery / install service refused to install an oven I had purchased claiming it wouldnt fit my kitchen. However, the dimensions depicted on the specifications part of the product description would definitely 100% fit. So either the product description is wrong or the installers arent the sharpest. Anyway I hope I get a refund for the 2Gs, but mostly I wanted that oven.

2022-04-25Just another home Depot, but definitely not very impressive. I came in for one simple thing: fresh flowers. The parking lot was a complete disaster and people at this location only feel like they can park anywhere. There are people parked in the middle of lanes, there are empty cars sitting everywhere and do not park and do not stop zones, and the staff dont care to do anything about it. It makes the parking lot a completely unsafe area to drive or walk. On top of that, they put the fresh cut flowers right in the doorway next to a fan so obviously theyre going to deteriorate much faster.

2022-06-17This is my go-to Home Depot. Sometimes it can be a little busy, but you never have to wait long because they have a full staff of employees almost every day. Sometimes its hard to get any help if you need something thats locked up or information on a particular item. So I like to do my research figure out what I need and where its going to be ahead of time. Its right off the freeway which makes it easy to get right back on the freeway into your job site or whatever DIY job youre getting to
