Rather than arguing with the customer, it is such a shame that more employees are not taught the phrase I dont know but, let me find someone who does. THAT is what great customer service is truly about. (Directed at the employee in Cleaning supplies today who refused to help me find a product I saw online and argued with me me that they didnt sell it until I found it myself and showed it to him) He needs a refresher course in not raising your voice at the customer.
I recently visited the Home Depot store on Florin Road (store#651) on 11/13/2021. As soon as i walked into the store, i was aggressively approached by an Assistant Manager named Brandon Lopez who told me to Get Out of the store. He claimed that i was in the store earlier that day, and that i was caught on camera stealing. He was so confident that i was the culprit that he whipped out his phone, and pulled up the camera feed. As we both stood and watched the footage, he says to me this is you, black guy, black beanie. I guess all black folks look alike to him?? However, he would soon realize that the man in the video was clean shaved, and that i have a full beard. This was totally unprofessional, and embarrassing as i was singled out in front of many customers and employees. Imagine spending thousands of dollars at a store annually, just to be treated like a criminal. I was racially discriminated against. I refuse to shop at this store ever AGAIN !!!
Home depots home Depot some are a little better some are a little worse but this place seems to not have an employee for anything in sight when youre in the store. Got to wait stand around for somebody to get to the department youre looking for unless youre lucky enough to catch someone there but chances are the person that you catch there doesnt know anything about the department theyre in but someone is and theyre only a phone call away. Also the products are running a little low Ive been finding a lot more empty product spots where I can only see a price tag and not what Im looking for. Wood selections kind of poor too.. remember back in the day when you used to be able to throw a can of vegetables down on the ground and dent it and then you get a discount. Thats how you buy wood, drywall, any product that you have to buy unboxed if you dont need the whole thing look for the one that isnt the best or the one that might have a little damage on a piece that you might not even use it might give you a nice little discount to fix your budget... Im giving this store two stars because they simply do not have educated staff working departments that theyre supposed to be in. All in all Ive had a good experience if not great experience with home Depot but they got to get it together. Other than that youll find what youre looking for
I love Home Depot. I shop here frequently, and I usually leave with more than I intended to purchase. Im rating this particular store 3 stars because it seems understaffed, and it is often dirty. Specifically, the parking lots and restrooms. The employees are friendly, however, it is difficult to find one at this location who is not obviously very busy.
I called the customer service for this store specifically because I wanted to know if their key machine was working and if they had the Nite Ize key covers in stock. They assured me that the Nite Ize key covers were in stock and that the key machine was working. I came to the store and the key machine was broken and the Nite Ize key covers were out of stock. I do NOT appreciate dishonest answers.
Its... A home Depot? Its like the Starbucks if home improvement stores theyre kind of all the same. Granted compared to the others around Sacramento I would and have actively gone out of my way to go to this one. Just seems better vs. the others? Garden department is good, competitive prices vs local nurseries and what not however if you want higher quality soil with better product in it yeah just pay the dollar more elsewhere.
Poor customer service!! This was at the Florin Rd Home Depot in Sacramento. CaWe went in to buy a BBQ and asked for assistance. They called from the return desk. We waited for over 20 minutes and no one showed up to help. We finally found what we were looking for and purchased it.When we bought our items we asked the cashier for the Manager. He called for the Manager so we could file a complaint. According to the cashier his name was Brandon, but he never showed up either. That is why I am writing this review.By the way the Cashier in the garden dept was very friendly and understanding!
Employees have zero sense of urgency or knowledge of products and their locations and are very rude. Ruined several sheets of drywall and didnt take responsibility for loading it poorly. The list goes on. Today I waited 20 minutes to get two cans of spray paint. One girl locked up and walked away as I was asking for help. I had to ask 4 people before someone showed up to help another customer. Management needs to get it together with where employees are stationed.
This Home Depot location on Florin Road seems to be better managed than other locations. This location seems to have more products adequately stocked, whereas other locations often have common products out of stock or low stock. Also, the store is better organized and not messy like other locations. The spray paints are locked up, which is a slight hassle because someone has to unlock the cage for you, but it also means their inventory online is more accurate. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only quirk about this location is the aisles are laid out differently than other locations, so if havent come here in a while, you might have trouble locating the correct section, but that is only a very minor thing.
Unless you know where what you need is located or if what you need is in locked area dont go here. I even had an employee walk by me as I was trying to get his attention by saying sir, sir, sir just keeps on going. Wow I thought employees were there to help customers! I have an account but wont go to this store again!
This is a handy place to go if you are meeting to pick up some thing in the neighborhood. But if you need help with a project, or you are looking for someone to help you arrange and installation, I would suggest going to a different location. Everyone who works here seems to hate their job and the customers. And very few of the employees are knowledgeable about home projects or hardware. I could excuse these things, but this location also is very bad at maintaining their merchandise displays. If you want to find an electrical switch, or a certain pipe fitting, you will most likely have to sort through boxes of mixed together parts. Often and I have found that they are out of certain things, but they can’t even tell because everything is mixed together.
I went in the Garden department to buy vegetable and flower plants.I went to the Wal-Mart on Florin first, and was disappointed in the quality of the Tomato plants so I didnt buy any.Went to Home Depot.I found everything I needed and a bunch of great deals on beautiful flowers at Home Depot. They had some great prices on really large plastic planters. I couldnt resist them.It was before 10 AM so it wasnt crowded yet. The clerk, Tyzell was so nice and efficient. He was helpful when I asked a question. I had a good experience here.If you are going to the Garden area, I suggest you go EARLY. Before 9, if you can. You can take your time and not be crowded in the tight isles.
This particular Home Depot was not very friendly at all and dose not have enough lumber carts for the amount of customers. Getting assistance seems to be a task all in its own. I have visited this store numerous times in the last three months and its always the same . I wouldnt recommend it for people that dont know what they are looking for or are in a hurry .
I love this place because it helped me survive covid this far. Between work and house projects I cant seem to stay out of home depot. From gardens to lumber, cement to candy home depot has so many products its mind blowing🤯.I like ordering for pick up. That way I dont walk the aisle waiting for my order and end up buying more stuff 😂🤣😂. I could buy something from every isle. Every visit😁🤣🙄😂
Hispanic guy who was working in the paint department needs to do better at his customer service! I ask for help on product in plumbing if it was in stock and he just says I dont have a phone and turns away!! I know it wasnt paint but at least try to help not just ignore me just because its not paint...if he hates his job that much then find a new one!!
Terrible! Brian in Paint dept. was just about the rudest Home Depot employee that I have ever encountered! I had a choice to go to Florin Road or Power Inn. I chose power Inn because I figured its a much nicer Home Depot a nicer neighborhood with nicer people all together. I was wrong. Couldnt have been anything further from the truth! I cant believe how I was treated like a second-rate customer. Johnny (the Supervisor)on the other hand made up for everything! He was very helpful very and caring. Very professional. I appreciate you Johnny!
Never buy appliances from Home Depot. Got a defective, brand new fridge. Home Depot refuses to give me refund. Instead, play games with me. Going back and forth between store manager and service phone line. They have a 48 hour policy. Even if you reached out within the 48 hours, they will say that they have no record of it. Instead, they want to repair your brand new fridge. Horrible people & system. My peers recommends Costco next time.
I only gave one star because the dont have zero. Went in for supplies spray paint. Found what I needed but was unable to get it because they lock the paint up. Asked the first employee in the area could she get me a couple of cases. This isnt my area! she replied and kept walking. So I went to the exit door and asked the lady for help. She was No help either. I left my basket of merchandise and walked out. When I got home called them to ask for the corporate number. The guy that answered gave me a bogus 800 number. Please shop anywhere but home depot.
Horrible experience.Arrived around 8 pm. Receiving was wide open with no gate blocking it off and I accidentally walked in thinking it was an aisle. - Very dangerous.Aisles were extremely cluttered. I was lost in the store for an hour trying to locate my items - as my home store is in Placerville and the layout is completely different. Store was not busy and no associate asked me if I needed assistance.I checked out at the pro desk and the girl who checked me out was not rude - however she was not pleasant. Indifferent even. I had a 2x4 in the wrong cart so I was concerned about my wood falling out and most of my attention went here. She took a couple of the small items from my basket and placed them in a bag. We completed the transaction and she didnt look up through almost the entire transaction and she forgot to hand me my bag or put it in my basket - so I ended up having to walk back in the store and grab my bag which was never taken off of the bag stand.
A couple of great employees helped us, but Sonja was another story. She has no customer service skills. We mistakenly asked her a question while she was on the phone, and rather then politely tell us she was busy, she rudely gave us an abrupt hand in the face. It was our mistake, but she should learn how to respond professionally. Will not return to this.location again.
If you know what you need and can help yourself, you can be in and out immediately. But, if you need any assistance, the employees seem like they dont want to help you. They either will say they will get someone else to assist you or are clueless and want to avoid you. Waiting for help or even finding someone to help you whether to cut wood/carpet/key or even getting an item on a top shelf that requires a ladder is a journey. Good luck with that.Horrible Customer Service!! Go to another location or just go to Lowes. The employees actually want to help you there.
I bought a refrigerator about two years ago with the warranty of three years. It stoped working so I called Home Depot to help me with my refrigerator and said they would send someone to my house to fix my refrigerator. I waited all day long and canceled all of my plans but they didn’t come. All of my food went bad. I called Home Depot again they said they would make another appointment and never came. I have 3 kids and I had to keep buying food even though everything was going on with COVID-19. I went to Home Depot and they made up a lot of lies and even said they I didn’t buy my refrigerator there but I had the receipt in my hand. Employees were very rude, lazy, and they even told me them selves that they weren’t going to help me. I called and called and each time they would send me to a different number. DO NOT GET THE WARRANTY.
I always find everything I need here but unfortunately even though store not busy , associates standing around didnt help. We were told twice that someone would come to help us but no one came. We finally had to go to the customer service desk to ask about item we needed, which turns out they didnt carry anymore BUT associate was kind enough to refer us to a store where we did find our item.
This was my first visit to the Florin Road location. I was so impressed with the helpful attentive service I received from several associates. Each person who waited on me was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure I was satisfied with the service I had received. This was my best Home Depot experience EVER! Thank you Florin Road staff for doing a wonderful job!
Thr cashier refused to give us mask I purchased matrial over the customer service and while walking out I get jumped by 4 cashiers harassming me and my co asking for receipt we were the only one asked to show a receipt only because we Mexican and i asked to speak to store manager his name s Brandon told him the what happened and asked him if he can give there name he called security to walk me out they need to make there employees know the store Policy and understand the difference between cashier and security so no one else will be jumped and yelled at by cashier for no reason
Sometimes it gets really busy and hectic and the lines are long. When you can get ahold of someone to help you, theyll answer your questions as best as possible. I appreciate when they tell me they honestly dont know or when they can direct me to another resource that might be more helpful. Pretty much offering good customer service and pointing me in the right direction.
Worst customer service ever. I went 4 times in the week to buy and get some blinds cut for my living room. Everytime I went, I always left after waiting for more than 30 minutes for the employee to come and help me. The employees never came to help in those 4 days that I went and it was always nearly empty. I didnt see what they were so busy with, they are always just standing there and chatting with each other.
Employees were rude, ignored my friend and I, and not helpful at all. Went to the store to find an over the door hook and went thru 5 employees who simply said I know what it is but not where one is or if we have it. They then went back to talking amongst themselves about the supper bowl and even walked away. I have never been to a Home Depot and treated like that before. Finally one young woman helped. She was pleasant and polite. I wish I got her name. They didnt have a hook but at least she tried.
If I could give this store 0 stars, I would!I never seen a customer service rep act so unprofessional. While i was coming in the store there was a lady who walked in around the same time she is in her 80s and she had a language barrier and she had some kind of part in her hand that she needed to purchase. She came up to one of the ladies who stood by the door. Her name was Christy. She is a lady in her mid 40s (tall, grey and black hair, man like haircut and black glasses) with great English. A customer came in with a thing that she needed and asked her where she can find it? If you care enough about your job ANYONE would understand what did the customer wanted. She just told her I dont know what this is HUN then she turned away to talk to another employee about her day. An older lady had a really sad face. AND NO ONE helped her!
Went looking for a door. An attendant asked if we needed help. He said that was not his dept but, asked how old was my heating and air unit was? As it was only 3 yrs old walked away and said he would get someone in that dept to help. Noone ever came to help. So, we did the best we could to pick a door.
Went to get five 29 gallon storage containers. Website said they had 9 in stock. Actually had 7, but 0 lids. I asked the employee who was stocking shelves in the same isle (who clearly saw that I was looking for something and couldnt find it but never took the initiative to ask if I needed help) for help finding lids, I got the thats not my department (ie thats not my job) but to her credit went and got me who I needed to talk to. That took about 10 minutes. When the new girl.got to me, she rang up.on her handheld computer that there were 6 lids in stock, and spend the next 10 mi utes wandering around looking for them. She finally returned and said that they didnt have any lids and they were pulling the containers off the shelves unless you want to buy these with no lids. This all happened after I went to another Home Depot to find that they didnt even have the containers in stock, despite what their website said. Overall very frustrating process and I wish I lived closer to a Lowes.
I enjoy looking at all the options and varieties of flowers they sell here...theres never long lines and most of the employees are very knowledgeable of there department if you do have any questions and if they dont have the answer, they will surely direct you to someone who would
Of all the HDs Ive been to in and around sacramento this has to be my least favorite. It has an odd layout inside and seems to be more messy than most HD. I realize some of this can be attributed to the clientele it attracts but at any rate it still falls at the bottom of my list when thinking of which one I would like to visit. West sac and power inn locations are both a step up from this location.
I was looking for the little piece that lets the dryer know its closed. The young lady working said they dont sell it, gave me a card to order it and told me she didnt know the name of it. A young man did look it up, however, he didnt know what tool I should use to loosen my washer hose to the cold water. He said I should be able to just twist it off. Uh, I tried that before asking. He said pliers or a wrench should work then.
Ill need to make a second trip now today because I couldnt explain the details of the plumbing part I need. Not thrilled about it because I couldnt explain what a srewey-onny-thing was, and the sales guy didnt either. So back we go with the part in hand. No problem just another trip.
Only time they help you is when he dont need help. Then when you need help, they are nowhere to be found. Then when you ask them about the product, they have no idea about it. And dont even try to call them. I was put on hold 3 times and hung up on three times. Transferred 5 times to the department I wanted to be transferred to and it went back to the operator. Then I tried calling management and the phone was answered and hung up on. The call was all in one day. I guess Ill go to Lowes or Yankee hardware. People at Yankee hardware are always nice.
Home Depot is my toy store I love it. Especially the Carmichael store. The lay out is easy and the service is helpful. No one hooks it up like the Depot. HD and Lowes pale in comparison to the convienence, selection & service Home Depot provides. The phone app makes speed shopping easy. I can really get in and out fast and dont have to ask where anything is. I love it !!
I have a bad experience at Home Depot Florin Sacramento. They have a stock problem with their ready made cabinets. Now I cant finish my kitchen because of one missing cabinet. No one at their customer service that can help, not even the manager. NEGATIVE STAR FOR THAT BRANCH!!!
BEWARE - Dont raise your hand or make any intentional eye contact with the people loitering in the parking lot while youre drinking in the parking lot. Doing so will alert them all to your car thinking that you are seeking for auto from them. The store itself is great. Some employees in some departments are not helpful at all. Heres a list:- Aisle with PVC stuff- Aisle in Woods- Aisle in GardenNever received a single offer of help while I looked confused. I even saw the worker avoiding me until I followed them down asking for him. Poor customer service if you asked me.
WORST HOME DEPOT EVER!!!They never have what you need. Associates are clueless -- even the ones in the department (ie, hardware guys working IN hardware) have no idea where product is or how the products work. If youre a pro, absolutely avoid this store at all costs. Seriously, drive out of your way to Power Inn or Howe Ave if you need something beyond basic materials.
Fraustrating. Im sure there are scores of people like me who dont know what they want or know what they want but dont know where to find it in your store. We spend it wasted time walking down aisle and May run into someone who can give us some Direction or may not. Theres no one dedicated to help us. It would be great if you had a concier at the stores, where you could make an appointment go in meet with the person and get some Direction before you start shopping on wandering. Simply where items are located i.e., isle 9, isle 24, etc. I would be willing to pay for extra assistance like that. You asked.
Watched an employee fall off a scissor lift at max height and crack his skull open.Horrifying experience for my daughter to whiteness.Guy had no safety gear on. Left on a stretcher, but couldnt speak... poor guy, I truly hope he made it.They need to have spotters or something.
If you know where you are going and dont need to ask for help in any way then this is the place for you. If you find yourself in need of assistance then good luck. My advice is look for the old guy that roams the aisles and hit him up. Or get on line on the home depot site and find the code for the part you need. You may have a chance of finding it at the store that way.
To all Home Depot stores. The plumbing, hardware, and electrical departments. Because of lame, lazy, and stupid customers that pick up something and then dont want it, instead of putting it back WHERE YOU FOUND IT, they just stick it any where but where it belongs. Its made these areas very disorganized and hard to find items that have been scattered throughout the store. Their computers will show items in stock but, if there anywhere except the display the customer loses and employees spend more time putting things back and less time helping you.
The only complaint I have is, I was given directions to find what I was looking for but when I got to the side of the store he told me it wasnt there so asked another one and we had to go back to the other side. This happened 3 times! My mother is disabled and this was hard on her.
The Home Depot on Florin Road is an absolute pain.. there is no logic or sense for the positioning of the merchandise.. they should standardized the merchandise inside the warehouse for all Home Depot locations so a person like me will not be trying to find something in a complete different location for each Warehouse especially when sometimes you cannot find a person to tell you where the merchandize is

2022-02-08These makes no sense!! I do understand that everyone is short staffed. I walked into Home Depot at 6 on 2-07-22 and only 2 registers were open. Sales associates walking around. I remember working at Costco with a line these long it should have been all hands on deck. I walked in to buy a few items you shouldn’t have to wait 20to 25 minutes in line . I love Home Depot but come on guys you need to get it together

2022-07-19Check the website and the florin store showed 170 evaporative cooler pads in stock. I drive miles to get to the store, and ask for help locating them and store said they couldnt find him. Dont get me wrong they really did try to help and are very kind however driving all that way for something that was in stock even by their computers and they couldnt find it. Went to Lowes and they had many options sitting around the shelf. Swing and a miss for home Depot.

2022-03-24Thank you for hiring and training helpful, curtious and knowledgeable employees - lights and bathroom vanities - whose names I didnt get. My apologies. However, we were assisted by an employee named Hon (I checked the name this time) when i needed a couple of keys made. Thank you Home Depot for your dedicated service to our community and for honoring us veterans. 🇺🇸

2022-07-08Purchased white pebbles online and went there within 20 minutes. Nathan and TK already got my items ready to go. They helped me load the rocks into my van with professionalism and speed. My best experience ever. I went back home and ordered more the same day and Nathan helped me again. Much much appreciated.

2022-06-15Minus is my true rating this is the worst experience I have ever had and will NEVER buy anything from Home Depot again. 14 yrs ago I purchased a washer and dryer everything was very smooth so I returned to buy a new set. Knowing exactly what I wanted I only had a few questions however there was no one working on that department. After 30 minutes of being told “I’ll get someone for you ” a gentleman arrived. Initially I was going to switch from gas to electric but after thinking about it I returned the next day to change my order back to gas. I was told I had to buy a new vent hose ok fine but I explained my dryer is not vented to the outside but he made me buy it anyway along with a new gas line and an extra 19.99 for installation. Then I’m told I can’t have the same delivery date because there is only so much room on the truck. Now think about it I had two items and I still have two items what is the “space” answer all about. Three employees and a Supervisor all said the same thing. The supervisor called the delivery company and discovered it’s not the space on the truck it’s that the product may not come from the vendor in time. Space on the truck is a standard answer none of them have reasoning skills clearly. Delivery day comes I’m told they won’t hook up the gas to the gas line but they will put it to the back of the dryer. What did I pay $19.99 for? The dryer is damaged so another is ordered. After calming down I call and speak to a manager who agrees it doesn’t sound correct that they won’t hook up the gas she’s going to contact them and see why and will return my call the next day. The next day I return to Home Depot return the vent hose I don’t need it’s not the right one anyway and I have not heard from the Manager it’s afternoon now. They call her to the desk I wait 15 minutes why? I’m guessing she didn’t call and get the answer so she was doing it then but I can’t be sure. She returns the vent hose and the installation fee saying “it’s still on there” and the “speciality installation team needs 2 days” to find out why the gas won’t be hooked up. In the meantime I’ve asked for a new delivery date, they don’t have one but will call. Now it’s 9 days later I had to find out online the delivery date and time window because neither Home Depot nor the delivery company call. The dryer has arrived and the paperwork says no services and this guy tells me they can’t connect it even to the back of the dryer because it’s in my garage. If I could rate less than 1 I would. DO NOT pay for installation you can put the water lines on yourself and plug it into the wall yourself. Extremely poor Management, horrendous customer service, zero follow through. Save your money go someplace else where you get all the correct information, everything you need and everything you pay for. Buyer Beware!

2022-06-15I am a pro member but what are the perks if you just let all the tubular customers park in pro parking then when u something about it Im in the wrong and have to park my truck full of tools in back of parking lot by all the people standing around to get my stuff stolen
