My siblings and I cannot thank The Gardens of Riverside enough for everything they did for our dad. He was medically forced to be placed somewhere as to not be by himself. After touring a few places and already having a relationship with the staff there, having another loved one in the same facility, we knew it was the right place. My dad was in bad shape and the dementia was too much. The staff was right there which was more than a few of my siblings helping me make decisions and taking care of my dad who was suffering. Unfortunately, my dad passed away only being able to be taken care of for a month. They were more than a facility, they were family that I still get to see because of my other family member that is still there.

We moved my dad to The Gardens in February 2021, and it was the best decision for him and our family. Stephanie is amazing! All of the staff are positive and happy. The atmosphere is uplifting, the facility is always clean, and the courtyard landscaping is relaxing. My dad is always treated with love and respect. I sleep well every night knowing he is getting the best care available to him. Thank you so much!

I just moved my 88-year-old mother from Orange County to Riverside to be closer to me. I did Internet research on four memory care facilities and chose one to tour, this was The Gardens Of Riverside. I cannot recommend them highly enough. My mother is so happy and I am greatly relieved to know what wonderful caring hands she is in. The Gardens Of Riverside is truly that with their beautiful interior courtyard complete with a three-tiered water fountain, flowering trees and singing birds. Residents are graced daily with the beauty and peace that is woven throughout this lovely campus. My mother also enjoys the food, her lovely room, and all the different activities and services offered at The Gardens. Her medications are dispensed as prescribed, daily care and personal hygiene needs are given at the highest level. I am greatly pleased with my decision to move my mom to The Gardens of Riverside.

My husband and I absolutely love this memory care facility and the employees that work here. Our grandmother was diagnosed with dementia in June of 2020, and became progressively worse. After MUCH consideration, we decided to place our grandmother into a care facility. After a tour of The Gardens facility (following CDC protocols for the pandemic of course), our decision was made. The Gardens is a tranquil, clean, well maintained facility with a beautiful courtyard and a miniature farm. The spacious rooms for the residents are clean and well maintained. We were able to get to know the staff, and Stephanie is a personable, loving, organized and highly detail-oriented person. We were so glad to meet her. She, Shannon, and her staff truly treat everyone, patients AND their families, like their own family. We were put at ease with transitioning our grandmother into the facility and received tons of support. Since she has been transitioned, our grandmother has made new friends with the other residents and is cared for the way we as her family would care for her. We also LOVE getting short videos, pictures, and updates of our grandmother; it helps us feel close to her! Thank you so much for your professional care, empathy, and support. We would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a memory care facility for their loved one.

We recently made the tough decision to move my mom into an assisted living facility with memory care. We were given a long list of possible places and immediately felt overwhelmed. Fortunately, with help we found The Gardens of Riverside. After researching and speaking with a handful of people at Kaiser, we felt we were on the right track. Still, it was a tough, stressful task....How will she like the place, is it homey? We didn’t want a hospital feel, we want a loving and uplifting place that mom can call home. When my mom checked in and got settled, she called us and told us she loved it there, and felt like she was on vacation. She loves her roommate. She’s making friends, and enjoying the freedoms that The Gardens offer. She’s already involved in some of the activities and was able to get her hair done which is a big deal for our mom. It’s only been a week and we’re feeling very confident that we made the best choice for mom. Stephanie has included us in moms first week with lots of photos and updates! The Gardens is a blessing for us.

My Dad was placed at Gardens in 2019 and has had excellent care. The rooms are a nice size and arranged well, the courtyard in wonderful. I really like the way this facility is laid out. The staff is caring, communicative and a huge help to me. They never make me feel bad for calling and asking questions. They were very helpful when COVID happened to keep us informed and involved. I love all of the staff and appreciate everything they do!

It was the hardest decision in our life to place our mom to assisted living. She has been at The Gardens since September. During the covid pandemic. What made it difficult is not being able to go in and physically see her. We made it through it. The staff is extremely helpful. Its comforting to know she has help showering, pills on time, she loves the food. She likes the beauty shop. And medical questions or issues they attend to immediately. The staff has always been friendly and doesnt mind calls and questions. Her room or apartment as she refers to it is very nice. She has her own furniture. Which makes it her home. The grounds are a country garden setting with waterfall, birds, goats. There is a beautiful saying above the door as you enter. Through these doors pass the finest people in the world Our residents, guests and staff its so true... Thank you for taking care of our mom like we would.

From the initial meeting, when we signed her in, Stephanie and all the staff have been professional, friendly, considerate, caring, helpful and overly accommodating, for a life situation no one finds easy! Even the laughter at our initial meeting at the Gardens was healing, letting us all know that this group is humans taking care of other humans!

I had to make one of the toughest decisions of my life when I decided that it was time for my grandma to go into memory care. My grandma raised me like her own child, so she has been a mother to me since I was too young to remember. When searching through my options for placing my grandma, I came across The Gardens of Riverside. I immediately took notice to the immaculate landscaping how modern the care center looked. I scheduled an in-person tour of the facility and I was pleased to see that the pictures didnt do the center justice. The center looked even better than the pictures showed. The grass is perfectly cut, the trees are perfectly pruned, and the rooms are immaculate and clean. The rooms are great, and the bathrooms are amazing. The walk-in showers are extremely accessible. I wish I had a shower for my grandma at home like the walk-in shower that she now has in her room. There are also no odors in the care center.I also love how reassuring the staff are about the placement process. Stephanie, the executive director, has been wonderfully supportive about the entire process of placement, and even after placement, she has stayed communicative and reassuring.I love how the staff has done everything in their power to help acclimate my grandmother to the center, even though my grandma does not fully understand whats going on because of dementia. The staff has done an amazing job redirecting my grandma when she wants to leave. The unfortunate result of my grandmas dementia is that she is often confused about what is going on, but the staff are pros at redirecting her. The center also has timed and alarmed exits that can only be opened immediately by staff, which means that I dont have to worry about my grandma wondering away and getting lost. This was a real concern of mine when I was deciding to put my grandma into memory care. Knowing that shes going to be safe makes me so happy.I love how The Gardens of Riverside does activities with the residents. There is even an activities director that coordinates the various activities that are conducted at the center.I noticed some of the prior complaints on google reviews and I dont think that they were fair reviews. They seems to be from disgruntled employees. One person said that the management is terrible. I think that the management is amazing in numerous ways. The management is amazing, communicative, and reassuring. Another person said that the staff leaves the floor unattended but has time to sit together and talk about personal life. I disagree with this statement. I see the staff supporting the residents needs. Just because the staff isnt with every single resident at every moment doesnt mean that the residents are not cared for. The residents have the ability to move about the facility as they desire. Although the residents are in memory care, they still have their own rooms, bathrooms, and freedom to do as they desire. The staff is supportive and tries their best to engage the residents, but they cant be expected to follow around every resident at every moment. They regularly check on the residents, especially if theyre a fall risk.Im glad that I ultimately chose The Gardens of Riverside as my grandmas new residence. She now has more care at the center than she could possibly be given at home, and Im so happy.

My mother moved into the Gardens of Riverside in September 2020. She had previously lived in a memory care unit at a nearby facility since December 2018. Because of changing life situations, a change in facilities was necessitated. In preparing for the eventual move of my mom, I researched memory care homes in the Inland Empire. The Gardens of Riverside was most appealing in terms of proximity and environment. Their website really had a strong impact on my decision to investigate further. Since I was unable to visit as there were Covid-19 restrictions, the video tour and photos were tremendous help. In addition, the Community Representative was instrumental in helping me make the decision and later the move to Gardens of Riverside. Without her warmth, kindness, and helpfulness, my mother may be living some place else. Since September, I have become more familiar with the Gardens of Riverside, and I can see three main components, three Cs, are evident, cost, care, and compassion. The cost is obviously a very important factor. Memory care is expensive, there is no debate. Depending on where you look, there are facilities that charge double what the Gardens costs. At the Gardens, the cost was within our budget. Furthermore, the Gardens also work with a P.A.C.E. program which by extension works with Medi-Cal recipients. Both of these were instrumental in moving my mother to live at the Gardens of Riverside. The care is a factor that is not readily apparent when researching assisted living facilities. Only until a resident has moved in, can the care really be discerned. I can say that the quality and nature of care my mother has been receiving is wonderful. The attentiveness to her well-being such as her clean clothes, hair and trimmed nails, and cleanliness is obvious. The food she is served looks like something I would enjoy eating. In addition, I receive phone calls from Med-Techs whenever there is something that is need of attention. I feel the quality of care is a reflection of the facility culture.Lastly, the compassion of the staff members that I have come in contact with is readily evident. The staff seem to enjoy working there and approach family as associates, not outsiders. From the Director, to the Activities Coordinator, to the Med-Techs, to the Community Relations, to the Office Manager, to the Front Desk Staff, these are individuals who reaffirm my decision to relocate my mother to the Gardens of Riverside was a truly positive life changing decision.Overall, finding a facility for a loved one is no easy task on several levels. I was happy with my mother’s prior facility but after 6 months move-in to the Gardens, actually, after 1 month, I had wished I found the Gardens first. It is a nice, down-to earth, and comfortable facility. Being situated in a residential area also provides a home-like ambiance. If you are looking for a place for your loved-one, consider the Gardens of Riverside.
