Made a reservation for our 14th wedding anniversary. Wanted to try somewhere we had never been and the place and food looked great online. When we arrived after waiting around at home for our time we found out the place is being remodeled and there is a very basic salad selection pretty much and that is it. The hostess say she did try to call me today to let me know... but who answers numbers they dont know? Also that would have been late to make a reservation anywhere else. I have no idea what the food is like since we did not stay but i really wish they would have posted this info on their website.
This place really surprised me! They were able to accommodate our party of 13 on 5 minutes notice an hour before closing. We ate indoors and felt like we were the only guest since the serving staff was friendly, attentive, and fast. For appetizers, I really enjoined the octopus and mango habanero wings. My main course was a filet mignon. It was amazing and of excellent quality. They stop serving drinks at 9:30 pm and the server was nice enough to remind us of last call.
This place popped up around 10 and waterman which is an area I knew for restaurants. It was fine but not expecting it to be inside the Doubletree hotel. I simply followed the map and it brought me here in between sales visits in Palm Springs and Rialto. Limited menu but enough to get me by as I am on a see food diet. I see food and I eat it.
Staff is really (really!) nice, and the location is very convenient right next to the lobby of the Doubletree hotel. The food, however, is just bad. We had the fried avocado, the pretzel bites and two different burgers, and all seemed to be made with cheap ingredients, and tasted like it. Would be two stars, adding one only because the staff was truly nice and friendly, and made the experience much better.
The food here is quite good. Service was also good. Very clean and nice atmosphere. Seats were comfortable too. As expected the prices carried a bit of a premium for being inside the hotel. It was good just felt it was a bit too pricey. They do have happy hour so that is definitely a plus.
We tried both the burger with a whiskey glaze, and the cutting board burger. Both burgers were delicious and the onion rings were amazing. I was actually pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the burger here. Definitely a thick patty. In terms of the ambulance, I definitely suggest sitting outside. Only downside to this is the sound of traffic, but there is a nice fire to sit near. The inside looks more run down. Definitely an older hotel look.If your staying at the Hilton Double Tree, this place is worth ordering from.
Very elegantly appointed restaurant. It has a dark industrial quality to its look, which I dig personally.I had their fried artichoke hearts with fresh grated Parmesan and Ghost pepper aioli. OMG !!! You have to try them. Enjoyed a bourbon on the rocks without a mask. Yoo-hoo !!! 😉🔥❤️🥃
Service was great. Jose was our server. He was great. Margaritas were amazing.Food:Ordered a medium rare burger. There was no pink at all.Ordered a salad with my meal. Its was a wilted mess. I didnt touch it.Ordered no pickles and no pickle chip (spear pickle) and got both. One half of the bottom of my burger bun was a soggy mess. I cut the burger in half and ate that part of the burger without the bottom of the bun.Food took forever. Short staffed. Regular chef was off. New chef was on duty. This is what we were told was the reason.Wont go again. Go to black Angus across the street.
We arrived at 10PM for dinner. There are no other customers. We ordered colossal shrimp appetizer & came with tails & spine attached & only 3 shrimp & small amount of sauce. Soup was not hot, came barely warm & no bread or crackers. Strip steak dinner was good! The service was good too.
This place is actually amazing. Don’t be fooled by it being in a hotel. It should be a stand alone classy restaurant. The chefs are phenomenal, the variety of flavors is just bomb. Bartenders actually make boozy and tasty cocktails. Waiting staff is very kind. My wife and I are very impressed and will be back!
Places very very overrated I dont think Ill be coming back here anytime soon at least not to eat Service is slow Pretty much I waste my time Please dont waste your time eat somewhere else I tried breakfast this morning just as bad as dinner I am convinced this place used microwaves to cook our meals So if you like Dennys this is the place for you
Don’t expect a steakhouse… it looks more like a ballroom. Reminds me of a high school homecoming dinner venue or maybe even prom. It is more like cafeteria food and I got the tomahawk steak, it was very fatty and salty. It was well cooked tho, the cook did his best getting my medium rare.Don’t expect a steakhouse or don’t bring a date. This looks like a hotel cafeteria.
Definitely great service, food was decent. Everything was just... good. Nothing over the top, I seen people in there with sweats. The restaurant has 2 areas, 1 of which is a bar area, with less food. If you want the pasta and or steaks ask for that before you get a table.
First time here was great. They have two options of inside or outside dining. We were a small party of 4 so we didn’t have to make a reservation. The food was great I ordered the NY steak and my hubby ordered their Surf n Turf. We also got the charcuterie board for an appetizer. This is a fancy restaurant. Pricy but for good reason. Will definitely be coming back.
The restaurant was very nice and the people were very friendly. I give it four stars because Im a vegan and the only thing they had was an impossible burger. I guess I expect more from a restaurant in California. An impossible burger is the easiest thing to have on hand for plant-based people. A lot of the restaurants that Ive been going to are working very hard to have better options for plant-based people. An impossible burger is frozen and shipped to the restaurant. Thank you for having an impossible burger available for me as a plant-based eater but lets talk to the chef and see if we can get an appetizer or something a little bit more custom.
Impeccable service, great food and awesome drinks. Honestly nothing bad you can say about this restaurant. Ive been here a few times, this time I ordered the tomahawk steak medium rare and it was perfect. Ive tried the rib eye there also cooked perfect. Half off wine during happy hour the whole experience here is very elegant. Night time they have the fire going makes the whole ambiance romantic
We booked a private food for an event. It was hard to find the actual room, but once everything got sorted and our group all managed to find the place, the service was great! I got the spicy shrimp pasta. It was nice, but it was more spicy than expected and I wouldnt order it again. My husband got the New York steak, which was large and tasty. Another member of our group got the T-bone steak which was HUGE and nice & juicy. As for appetizers, the truffle fries were really yum, but the cheese/meat platter was definitely not worth the price. We all enjoyed our time there, the food, and the service.Only complaint is the prices, of course, but as long as you know what youre getting into...
Slow service, took us 45 min to get our food when there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. The server messed up half of the orders and left our drinks empty the whole meal, and they stayed empty because she never came out for us to ask for a refill. Overpriced, pretty, but go somewhere else.
Very average food. I have very high food standards and this did not meet any of them. The chicken panini was the most decent thing I tasted along with my hot tea. I will say though that the dessert was the worst by far. The creme brulee tasted like lemon and licorice...(best way to describe it) the tiramisu is diabetes on a plate and tastes like absolutely nothing more than hersheys chocolate syrup. I could feel my arteries clogging on the first bite. Threw both away for $14. I say its better than hospital food but just that.
Fabulous tapas concept, love the surprise element after entering the shabby building. Excellent service, great drinks. We absolutely loved the lobster tacos, kale salad with apple vinegar , crab, mole chicken, crispy eggplant pizza. The apple bread pudding was superb. Must have experience!
Food taste great, but I was extremely disappointed with the service. This restaurant cannot handle large groups. Two of my guests NEVER received their food. Drinks took forever. I could see the bar from my table and i could see the drink being made for everyone who walk up to the bar. Rude bar tender. I will never go back to restaurant that cant get food or drink out in a timely manner and say sorry really busy tonight.(fyi it was not that busy)
After being stuck inside for so long we decided to go out ! We have the most amazing time marisela was are server did the most amazing job. We ordered the 2 things shes suggested and was not disappointed...amazing atmosphere, amazing food! Just a all around great time....thanks marisela
This restaurant is on the hotels property and is excellent. I sat outside at a fire pit and had the very best salmon dinner with a glass of mezcal!!! The manager and server were more than happy to make the corrections (it was an error with their register we were told) and then we checked out. Food was excellent!
I am staying here at the Double Tree and asked the front desk where to eat. They tell me about Cutting Board Restaurant. I went in and ordered a beer and a burger with sweet potato fries. The burger came out with regular fries. The bartender says I am sorry and reorders the sweet potato fries. Some time has past and I am done with my burger now and tell the bartender to for get the fries because so much time has gone by with other food orders coming out. the bartender asked the guy sitting next to me if he wanted another beer while staring at my empty glass and gets him another beer. She never asked if I wanted another. She takes more food orders out to customers and comes to me as she takes my plate and then asked if I would like another beer. I am doing my best to not get irritated at this point. I tell her no thanks. She brings me the bill for the full meal and the beer I drank. I was less than pleased and she says well you canceled the fries and the kitchen is really busy. She never once apologized. She can tell at this point I am not happy with this bill. I told her I didnt that I should get charged for the fries I didnt get. You know they would have been nice to eat with the burger. She says to me i did give you a 15% discount. I told her You were giving that to me anyways because I was staying in the hotel already and they give a 15% discount when you stay here. I took the high road and just paid the full bill. I will not recommend this place ever to anyone. Very disappointing.
Weve been here quite a few times and I havent had a complaint or let down yet. The staff is always bubbly and helpful, their reservations get booked up for the weekends by mid-week so I know its not just me who loves this place! Any dish Ive had so far is something Id refer to a friend. 10/10 if Id ever rated one before.
Never actually got served. Sat down at a table for 10 minutes. Then got up to ask if I was supposed to check in somewhere to get served. She said to sit at the bar. Sat at the bar for another 5 minutes with no interaction or service. Just gave up and got fast food. Thanks...
The food was decent. This was our second time here. After the first time, it took us almost 3 years to go back because the service was terrible. After the second time, and horrible service again, I dont think we will give a third chance. It was very slow, and they got my dish wrong twice.
Extremely long wait times and unimpressive food.We came for a midweek lunch and although there was no crowd, it took a full HOUR after sitting down for the first plate of food to come to the table between ordering and waiting for the food. Then it took an additional 25 minutes for the other 6 plates of food to slowly dribble out of the kitchen one by one, so we wound up eating in shifts. No one was particularly impressed by their sandwich, burger, fries, or pasta. They apologized for the absurdly long wait but offered no recompense (except cookies, and even then only because someone in our party asked). What was supposed to be an easy lunch wound up taking 2 hours. Even the seating arrangement was bad - we reserved a large table, so they stuck us outside of the main restaurant area in what felt like the middle of the lobby. It was just strange. No one in our group will be returning.
The restaurant was fabulous. I had Linguini and Clams, my sister had the Kobe beef burger and my mom had the Impossible Burger. Everything that was served was excellent. Honestly Ive had Linguini and Clams at very high end restaurants that werent as good as the Cutting Boards. My sister said the Kobe beef had incredible flavor as well as the Impossible Burger. I ordered a bottle of Chardonnay for my mom and I and it went nicely with the food. Excellent Meal!!!
Late lunch on the huge patio...we were only customers that day...but sun shining and lovely seating area with set tables, couches and big coffee tables, lots of comfy throw pillows...ideal place for after-work drinks or lunch/dinner with friends! Salads were huge, fresh with very tasty dressings. Salmon was scrumptious! Hotel restaurant but could be a go-to place with plenty of free parking, easy access, and good food! Nearby busy road may provide a bit of noise at rush hour.
Food portions were small...especially for the price. The menu was way different from the first time we went. Not many choices especially for picky eaters. My salad dressing tasted stale. Kept having to look out for the waitress and ask for water. By the way this was just based on a lunch time visit. The lunch menu review only.
My family went in on Saturday for lunch. Julio was fantastic. He got us whatever we needed in a fast and friendly manner. We were all pleasantly surprised with our meals. The peach cobbler was to die for. Its baked when ordered, so you get it straight from the oven and it comes with vanilla bean ice cream. 🤩😍
I didnt know this restaurant was in a hotel when I ordered my food and was surprised when I drove there to pick it up. All I can say is wow!!! The veggie lettuce wrap was the best thing I ever taste, so full of flavor and the texture was great! The poblano Soup was sooooo delicious!! I love this place now. So glad I tried it!!
I was absolutely horrified. I was getting ready to grab a bite from the restaurant since I had just come from an UBER orientation in the Riverside Room at the Double Tree Hilton. I was approached and harassed by two workers at the hotels front desk for 30 minutes straight! They were invading my privacy and forced me out into the street for no reason and I wasnt even able to sit and enjoy a meal. Rude ladies, youve got in your little set-up you guys got there. I would fix that if I were you. Honestly.
Nice atmosphere part of the hotel nice crowd of people good service decent food something so really good some things are just so so affordable menu. Its worth a visit especially if you staying at the hotel is very convenient they will also give you a to go Box and you can take your food up to your room.
Dont come to the cutting board unless you have atleast two hours to spend here, any time or day it doesnt matter. This has to be the slowest service I have ever experienced at a restaurant. Waste of time and money...also crackheads wander around in the hotel lounge which is part of the restaurant.

2021-11-20Had dinner with friends for their birthday celebration. There is outside and inside table which ever you prefer. Good atmosphere. Our tables were outside for 15 people. Table servers were friendly and knowledgeable. This restaurant is inside the hotel. Food were good.Food quality. I ordered Ribeye. It was good and very tasty. But it was a little bit salty at the bottom of my steak.Prices are very expensive

2022-07-03I ordered a bloody Mary and there was a tiny fly imbedded in my lime, which was mixed into the drink so if I didnt take it out I wouldnt have even seen it. For an expensive place, thats pretty f-ing disappointing. Curious what the kitchen looks like.

2022-04-15Do you want a steak that you can cut with your fork? Come here! Place was awesome! I’d steer away from the jalapeño popper apps as it’s a total rip off. Also the honey mustard with the salad looks like they went to McDonald’s across the street to get the little packets. However the steak was sooo good that five stars are deserved!

2022-06-05Chef Salvador Hernandez clearly knows what hes doing. I had the Cutting Board Cheeseburger for $16, and the half pound of ground Kobe made it worth every penny. We came here at 8:45 with a party of 13. (The place was scheduled to close at 10.) They assembled the tables and sat us with great hospitality. (Ive been places where they werent so happy to see theyd be working late.) Other than another party outside, we had the place to ourselves. A few in our party speak only Spanish, and the waiters were bilingual. We had a great time, and we never felt rushed, even though we remained in the restaurant until well after closing. The staff had started cleaning up, but they didnt do it in a deliberately loud way. We were not made to feel as though they wanted us to leave. Thats hospitality.Thank you Cutting Board staff. You guys made our party of 13 feel loved.

2022-02-04The good: Outside there is a great place to sit and eat. There are beautiful fire structures that makes it even more pleasant. The bartenders were nice. The bad: We didnt order dinner however, we did order dessert (bread pudding) based on the menu description. We put in an order for 4 and waited. And waited. And waited. For 40 minutes we waited. It finally came out and the presentation was fine. Each of us took a bite and it was horrible. It was hard, stale and tasted terrible. I then looked at mine more closely and saw mold spores. One other serving had mold spores as well.We called the waiter over and he took them all...then returned about 15 minutes later saying sorry and we dont have to worry about it. and then walked away.I am not really sure what I expected. Some sense of trying to make it right? More empathetic as we literally just ate moldy dessert? We attempted to speak to someone else and they still acted very indifferent towards us and as if they didnt care.I am highly disappointed in how they treat people and disgusted that people actually eat here.We stayed in the hotel and didnt eat there again based on their treatment of us and the idea of how terrible their storage and kitchen is ran.

2021-10-12Their service was great and friendly. The place is well kept and clean. Their burgers are full of flavor. I always get mine medium rare. The Kobe beef is tender and jucy. Top shelf chef.

2021-02-28This is great for a date. It tucked away on the street but when you’re there you don’t even notice it and it doesn’t notice you. The ambiance is nice with a romantic vibe and the food and drinks are on a elegant level. You don’t have to dress up to go but for a more romantic feel I would definitely suggest it. The shrimp fettuccine is amazing and spicy, the old fashioned is made perfectly, the club is a nice healthy sandwich, and the poppers will blow you always and everything is edible.

2022-04-06First time experience recently although living local. Would definitely recommend 👌Service was great thanks to Johnathan our server and every item ordered was delicious, fresh and surpassed expectations. Even the wine. Very chill ambiance in the outside seating area. Will be back soon!

2022-02-01We had dinner there and the burger was ok in flavor but the bun was soggy. The staff was very friendly and they didnt charge us for my sons burger because he didnt eat it. We had coffee and desert on the patio the next night and that was very good. Over all not a terrible experience but I wish the food was a little better.

2021-08-29Made a reservation on Yelp. Arrived on time, no host at the entrance. Eventually got seated. Bread rolls were stale. Pozole Verde was good. Cesar Salad had no anchovies, dressing was good. Octopus was like cardboard. Steak was sad, thin and tasted like freezer burn. Mashed potatoes tasted like airlines food.
