Went here on a Saturday 80s night and was already way tipsay. Bartenders were not douchey - always a plus. Considering aint really my scene, had a good time, except - I kid you not - there is a GINORMOUS mosquito in the corner that kinda fahreaked me out.Other than that, good times.

2018-03-04This was a great wedding venue! There was plenty of room for all the guests to mingle during the time between the wedding and reception, and each area was unique and fun for visiting and taking photos.

2020-05-25We loved having our wedding at The Colony House! Picking a venue is one of the most important parts of planning your wedding since it sets the tone for the whole look and feel of the day. When we came for our tour, we knew it would be perfect. We wanted a space that would work for the reception and the ceremony without needing to be outside. This was it! We loved the upstairs loft and outside patio for cocktail hour and our guests loved the amazing succulent wall for photo opps. The staff were very helpful and answered all of my questions in a timely manner, which is important as a bride! The food was soooo delicious! Truly, amazing! We read other reviews that mentioned bad sound inside the venue. I was really concerned about this since my husband is an audio engineer. I knew we could not have a venue with bad sound, but actually we didn’t encounter a single issue during our ceremony or reception. We had almost 160 people at our wedding and the room was the perfect size. Everyone on staff with was super kind and friendly. Service staff also came up and congratulated me throughout the night, which I thought was so sweet. We’re so happy we chose the Colony House for our wedding!

2021-05-06Our dreams of a beautiful, outdoor, sunny, Southern California wedding were shattered when the world was hit with the Coronavirus Pandemic last year. We, along with millions of other people, were personally affected by the deadly virus. In the beginning, we did not know just how much we would be affected. We chose Colony House as our venue for our wedding. We met with the staff at The Colony House and they assured us everything would be fine and they would keep up with the coronavirus rules and regulations regarding gatherings. We paid our 20% deposit of $5,167 on June 15, 2020 to secure our date of June 19, 2021. We waited and watched as mandates and regulations constantly changed. We kept in communication with the manager at The Colony House consistently. We finally decided to cancel our wedding on November 30, 2020. I had just gotten over contracting coronavirus on November 10th and once my two week quarantine was up and my health started to get better, I decided a wedding and possibly having the virus resurface and spread at my wedding was not worth anyone else’s health. Norman Bennett (owner) and Elise Luna (Sales Manager) accepted my cancellation, but refused to refund my money, citing they had already begun to pay vendors for my event even though it was still eight months away. Stormin’ Norman then began to get unprofessional and disrespectful with his correspondence to my fiancé and me. Norman told us that my contracting coronavirus, not knowing if we would make it out healthy, and being afraid of the virus spreading at my wedding was a “personal problem” and that he would not refund my money because they were able to accommodate my wedding, just on a smaller scale. At the time, no more than ten people were allowed to be gathered at any given time and my guestlist was nearly two hundred people. Do not book your event at Colony House. The staff there are unprofessional, rude, and below par. It was very disturbing and offensive to have Norman tell me it was a “personal problem” of mine if the coronavirus spread at my wedding or if my fiancé was left without a bride. It was dishonest of Colony House to tell me they started using our deposit for several programs for my wedding, eight months out, during a pandemic, and with no receipts to prove it.I would not recommend Colony House to have your event. You can see how they began to communicate with me once I asked for my money back.

2016-01-10Great, new wedding venue. The upstairs bar served as the cocktail area while downstairs was the reception space, which had exposed brick wall and high barnyard ceilings. There was also a nice outdoor patio space with a fireplace and succulent wall for photos. As a wedding guest, I liked the family-style dinner, but the food got cold while waiting to be passed around.

2015-12-09I was at this venue for a wedding. The interior is pretty modern with antique looking exposed light bulbs and distressed wood floors and wood wall partitions. There a little stage area and a loft area. There are two bar locations, one in the loft area and one on the opposite end of the big hall from the stage. The venue fit about 150 people pretty comfortably and accommodated a dance floor too. Teh catering company that owns the venue makes a pretty good steak, their hamburger slider appetizers were pretty juicy and flavorful.
