Good hotel just a few observations. The area and clientele seemed a bit ghetto. We had no issues but Ive also never seen so many neck tattoos or hookers in one parking lot and im from Vegas. The front desk had 2 guys that kept going in and out of office but neither offered any help with check ins. The beds were rock hard which i loved but hubby hated. The tubs had jets which were non operational.
From the outside it looks nice. Rooms are very outdated. Staff is not very welcoming. The back parking lot feels unsafe. Be sure and bring your pillows and toiletries, what they provide sucks. 1st and last time staying. I will say though once I closed my eyes the rooms felt like any other 5 star hotel.
I had a horrible experience! First I got there and the staff was very rude not showing good customer service. I try using the jacuzzi and it didn’t work. Then when checking out the staff kept cutting me off when I was talking and throwing his hands up so I can leave, basically shushing me off. They didn’t return my deposit. When I noticed this, I called for 20 mins and they never answered the phone. I had a horrible experience will NEVER come here again. And I will NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone!!! You would think they would be nicer and more welcoming.
Ive grown to appreciate this place, there are a few setbacks.Their prerogative to have a early check in fee, I mean it is more time in the room for you so I think its almost fair. But at 50 bucks? Thats more then half the cost of the room, I thought we suppose to help each other grow. Usually when I come here its to save money and get a decent stay at the same time.seems to be fading though on the save money part. Its a toss up on the time youll have everywhere you go and this place is no exception.
Positive: location Negative: This hotel is very very very worn down and old. Its so outdated that its definitely NOT a boutique feel. It feels more like a motel. Couches were torn. Unfortunately, our expectations were much higher. Needlesstosay, we tried and will not be returning.
We unfortunately had a bad experience staying here. Delta booked us here when our flight was cancelled. Ugh. Very dirty carpet in the hallways and stairwells; mold on the ceiling in the bathroom and on the shower curtain; beds sagging and not comfortable; walls very very thin and could hear people in the room next to ours -- and really wish we didnt hear them cuz it was uncomfortable and gross to listen to; I have bites on my leg, not sure if they are from this hotel but the rest of the experience was low quality enough that I wouldnt be surprised if there are bug issues too. I would not recommend staying here, and I contacted Delta to let them know they shouldnt be sending their cancelled-flight customers here.We stayed at the Sonesta Select hotel near the airport two previous nights and it was clean, comfortable, and safe. It is probably a bit more expensive than this hotel, but well well worth it.
This is not a family friendly motel-If I could give a rating of zero I would. The rooms were filthy, crunchy carpet, sheets dingy and dirty and the bathroom was so dirty not to mention the holes in the wall and cigarette burns around the bathtub. After 10 minutes we decided to leave and find another place to stay. On our floor you could hear guests arguing loudly in their rooms and banging on the doors, just not a safe environment for a family vacation. So when we went to cancel our reservation and ask for a refund of the second day we were informed that I had to cancel 48 hrs ahead of the reservation that there wasnt anything the front desk attendant could do. I didnt ask for a full refund just to have my 2nd night refunded I was abruptly told to email the manager and asked if I wanted his card? Umm yes please! - Then the security guard followed us out to the parking lot to take pictures of us in our car. When confronted as to why he took pictures, he said he didnt he was on his phone - I explained that the flash on the camera doesnt go off when you are talking on the phone.
I had a covid emergency weeks ago and had to cancel my trip in advance; I asked them for a refund or credit and they never even replied to me. They could have at least sent a “sorry, no exceptions” for a refund (even though that would be a strange policy for a hotel to have in regards to Covid) and in that case I wouldn’t have left a bad review because I would have at least have gotten a response but getting no response at all to phone calls or emails is honestly unprofessional.
I would never recommend you this hotel! Staff and employees are really bad, one of theme threw my ID and didn’t tell us anything where is our room where to park just gave us the card and nothing, the room was also disgusting there were stains everywhere, they were stains in the jacuzzi and inside of the tubes, the carpet was all in some kind of stains, also if you want to close your window with blind one of theme was ripped apart, it also smelled like the room was 1000 years old (don’t mind my profile picture)PLS LISTEN TO ME AND DONT GO THERE IF YOU WANT A HAPPY VACATION WITH YOUR FRIENDS OR FAMILY!!!!!
I had to wait 2 hours because I reached early at the hotel. They are strict about the check in time. Good service and good room condition in regard of money. Close to the downtown yet cheaper than most of the hotels. Internet service is terrible. Had to buy mobile data
I looked up this place prior to booking and the pictures looked way better. I would rather pay my moneys worth elsewhere next time. The carpet is filthy and the room smells damp. The neighbors next door were noisy at night and there are people hanging out in the parking lot late at night. There are alot of surveillance signs everywhere but that doesnt seem to bother anyone. Perk is that there is a CVS next door for any last minute items.
I booked them through Hotels.com. I ended up canceling it through Hotels.com but it apparently never canceled. I called the hotel multiple times and sent emails and couldnt get a hold of anyone. I was charged for an entire weekend. Hotels.com wont take responsibility and Arena doesnt respond. Single worst experience dealing with a hotel Ive ever had.
Positive: Nothing Negative: I remember the arena when it was a solid hotel not fancy but solid. Two years past and he¿s become a war zone, filthy, poorly served, disgusting structure. Please let your guests booked this hotel if you don¿t like them. But for the guest that you l
Upon arrival had to wake up attendant, told us wrong floor and card key was not functioning. There was a transient claimed he was locked out of his room on our floor that asked if could use our restroom. Noisy!Posted will do room services after 3rd night, any service prior would cost an additional $ 25.00
The Arena Hotel is a physically revolting place to stay. The manager on duty was rude beyond belief, the rooms were gross, they charge $50 for any check-in before 4pm (this policy is ridiculous and is not standard), and the employees didnt even check my ticket when I went to retrieve my luggage (they asked me what bag was mine without even checking to see if my ticket matched the one on the bag). This hotels management and staff are wholly incompetent--do not, despite the convenience to the SAP Center, stay here.
We have stayed here on severalOccasions when we attend sharks games. How disappointed we were when we stayed there a few weeks ago. I understand the whole COVID thing and can understand that there may just not be money for improvements, but filth and failure to maintain are not acceptable. There was mold all over the bathroom walls, lamps and fixtures encrusted with dirt and dust. The cover was off the air conditioning unit and the drapes were missing parts that didn’t allow them to be closed all the way. The staff was ok, but we drove over 2 hours to get there and they wouldn’t let us check in 15 minutes early. I e mailed the manager with my concerns and they have not responded. Won’t be staying there again.
Weve been staying here for years. Usually several times a year to see the Sharks. First and last time back since COVID. So disheartening, it used to be a great hotel. The walls are gross, our non smoking room has burn marks all over the tub/shower. The jetted bathtub has broken missing dials. We made a run to Target to buy our own linens and pillows. Just all around depressing to see what has happened. Such a great location too. Its just sad.
Yikes, this place is crusty. Stains, scuffs and cracks all over the room and bathroom, the lingering smell of (possibly) urine in the room area, and the general feeling of filth. And, for some reason no hand towels or wash cloths in the room. Stayed one night, do not intend to return.
Part 2 review:After being told we would have to pay $50 for early checkin for our room that was ready, we returned at 4pm to this…And the #ArenaHotel debacle continues. This is what charging for early check In Looks like… 🙄🙄🙄Waiting in a line that goes out the door to check in to this hotel. So sad, this hotel used to be awesome. Used to have great customer service. Now? It’s not.
The Good: Friendly front desk staff, easy check in, plenty of parking, nice lobby, some good last minute deals. The Bad: That last minute deal, $99 for a king size bed, turns out to be a handicapped accessible room on the first floor next to the staffs offices and housecleaning department. It was generally pretty noisy during business hours, and I could also hear the footsteps from the unit above me, along with other mysterious bangs and racket. The heater, a wall unit, appeared to not work and then suddenly kick on, not maintaining the temperature at all. The room was pretty run down but generally clean but stains on the carpet are always disconcerting. The units fridge emitted an incredibly loud buzzing noise 24/7. Finally, and this is inexcusable, the hotel ran out of hot water around 11pm. I believe this was when the Sharks game got out and everyone went back to their rooms and used the hot water. Conclusion: I would use again if there was the same deal as its nicer than the Motel 6 down the street, but I think next time Ill spend 20 dollars more and use the Hilton 10 min away.
My family and I stayed here a few years ago and it was a good experience. We we’re excited to book here again, but we’re we wrong! Slept with our socks on. The floor was stained and dirty along with the couch. The stuffing was coming out of the cushions. The tub was dirty and broken along with rust spots. The doors in the room were split. The person at the desk was super rude and looked ragged. The bed was worse small pillows, with just a sheet. We were even locked out of our room. Got charged a fee for leaving early! Will not be returning here anymore.
Do not let the rating on google fool you and make sure you check yelp where its rating is a much more accurate 2 stars. Based on the google rating, price, and pictures I thought this was a cute little boutique hotel. It turned out to be the dirtiest and scariest hotel I’ve ever stayed in.It reeks of mold, must and old cigarettes. There were no pillows on our bed when we checked in and a balled up poptarts wrapper behind the coffee maker. The AC just blew out hot air but the windows had no screens so we couldn’t open them for fresh air. There were people loudly banging on doors and yelling at 3 am. Definitely felt that the $85 dollars we spent were wasted.
They told me to leave 2 day early and charge me no comunication they dint wanna give me the manager number they because i have alredy give the keys back they ket 2 days you guys have a sing that sayd that you can do that so i leaft they play me so i coulnt stay there for the game got charged your workers need to be retrain it looks like it was a nice place ones in a time
This hotel needs new staff. The guy at the front desk is so rude and disrespectful. He literally tossed the room key at my husband. We went up to the room and the key wouldn’t work. Had to go back down stairs and the guy acted like it was a huge deal when it was HIS mistake!!!! The stairway is disgusting. The carpet looks like someone peed all over it. The rooms are dirty. Do not stay here!!!!!!!
I lived in San Jose for over 20 years and continue to go back for business. Ive stayed in many hotels throughout the years to try and find the right one for a reasonable price. I was highly disappointed with this hotel for just about every reason. The staff was less than satisfactory when checking me in. Apparently, the housekeeping staff and the front desk dont communicate because the maid woke me up the second day I was there and was surprised that I was in there. Sketchy people are loitering in the front of the building and parking lot throughout the night. The building and the rooms are absolutely terrible and horrifying. I happened to be in Room 239. The bathtub was falling apart, the furniture is rusted or falling apart, the walls are stained, and the patchwork is horrible. The carpet is stained, and only God knows what its been stained with. The final morning that I was there, a drunk guy roamed the hallways and pounding on doors at 5 am. Im trying to understand how this hotel has an average of 3.8 verified reviews when it should be a 1. Ive stayed in Motel 6s that are much better than the Arena Hotel. Look at the photos Ive posted. Save your money and dont ever stay at this hotel.
No comforters, bath tub and jets not working. I called front desk for towels since they had only 3, a comforter and an extra pillow and the front desk said you have to come to front desk which was a disaster! This place is dated and in need of repairs. Suspicious men running around the area. Afraid to walk outside at night...
I greatly appreciated the hotel that I stayed for a couple of days. They have a perfect and world-class area that could make you calm and comfortable. Everything they’ve done for me was worth it and excellent. I’m overwhelmed with the outstanding treatment and facilities they have. The pictures posted on the internet was truly accurate and right. I would surely rate them with five stars. From the bottom of my heart, I’ll recommend their excellence to my friends.
PLEASE DONT STAY HEREHorrible customer service.Dangerous neighborhood.EXPENSIVE considering Holiday inn or Wyndham are about the same rate and theres no comparison!THEY CHARGE USD$100 FOR A DEPOSIT SECURITY FEE.They are strictly a business making money, so forget about your needs as a tourist. Old facilities, dirty, creepy environment, the carpet is disgustingly dirty, the neighborhood had many things around, restaurants, pharmacies, grocery stores, but it does look dangerous. I saw a bike on my way to the pharmacy next door, on my way back to the hotel, the back tire was gone! The security deposit charge was made plus the room rate! They said the bank would make the refund within the next 7 days!!! When have you logged into a hotel that does that???I have never and I am furious because I was counting on that money.
Definitely not what I expected! The room is outdated and stains on the carpet. The curtains are ripped and the tv control didnt work. The person checking in guests had a horrible attitude and was not helpful. The bed had one sheet. It was missing blankets and the comforter. Will NOT be coming back.
It was a great pleasure to have stayed in this hotel for three days. I have really enjoyed the laid back feelings at the pool. This hotel and its staff are everything I had wished for. Everyone and everything was absolutely perfect and exceptional. I had a great time and never had a bad meal. No to mention, all of the staff were so accommodating.
I stayed here a few years ago and it was good for the price! I thought I would give it a shot again. Oh boy I was wrong I was scared to take off my socks the floor was stained and dirty the tub was nasty the room has many rust spots. The person at the desk was rude and looked super rough! The bed was awful. I almost requested my money back the room was soooooo gross I would not stay here if I was you the price was not worth how gross this place is! I would rather stay at a motel 6 then here!
This hotel is a Gem 💎, but...the lack of maintenance can tear apart this place for mayor cost to repair instead of hiring a good maintenance guy to keep it well taken care of.Yes maids to their job smells clean and its clean inside out, beautiful hotel to keep it original from 70s.Carpet stained it really needs professional to clean it well it has been changed if so..clean it well gosh.Bathroom paint is falling off drywall exposed...the can be costly if not repaired on time due to humidity from everyday shower.A call the owners.. dont neglected it its a Gem of place keep it original but well taken care of.
There was a pervasive weed smell, which some may like. There was also a lot of noise from people inside and outside the hotel but not necessarily the fault of the establishment. Bath towels were on the very small side. I have a 33 waist and could barely be able to wrap the towel. It could have been worse but overall it sufficed for a place to stay for an evening.
Im not sure where to begin. I drove 5hrs and when we got there, there were about 4 or 5 police cars, I arrived at 2:25 and could not check in until 3:00 UNLESS I wanted to pay $50 extra! Are you fricken kidding me!!! I was exhausted and wouldve liked to take a short nap before heading out to the concert. So, We left to get something to eat so we can kill time, when we came back there was a Coroner there, bringing in a gurney with a body bag. Thats the second bad thing. We got in our room, it was decent, I got a suite. After the concert, I decided to sleep on the pull out bed. Not only was there a stain where somebody had spilled something but anytime I rolled over, the dang livingroom light would come on. (Motion activated) This morning while we were leaving a police car drove through the parking lot, cool that they patrol this place but there was more to it. He was waiting for back up, while Im sitting there getting my GPS on my phone, they both got out of their vehicles, I started driving towards them as one wanted me to get out of there. I looked in the mirror and my gosh! Guns drawn and headed in! This was my first time staying in San Jose! Honestly, this hotel wasnt bad, its old but updated, just too much going on.The main thing Im not happy about is not being able to check in a bit early! I have worked for hotels and youre suppose to focus on your customers and good customer service. 🙄 I have never heard of not being able to check in early or I should say, paying extra to check in early. I also need to add, I was not told about any breakfast, if they even had breakfast. As a front desk employee, they should let customers know if they even have breakfast. Ice machine on the 3rd floor is broke so you have to go down to the 2nd floor, a bit inconvenient. Great location if youre going to the SAP center. All in all, not a bad place to stay, just watch your surroundings.
Positive: The rooms have amazing jacuzzi tubs which almost make up for the lack of cleanliness and rundown feel of the hotel. It is very close to the SAP Center and a short walk to restaurants, While Foods, CVS... Negative: The hotel is very tired and rundown. Every wall is chipped. The floors are scary-dirty. Our headboard had evidence of other sleepers. In summary, the owners don¿t appear willing to invest in the upkeep and the housekeepers are sleep walking.
Carpet in the room was stained and smelled like cigarettes, the jacuzzi tub coating is peeling, stayed 3 nights and housekeeping only came in one day, the sink handle was rusty, everything is outdated and gross. Usually I look forward to resting in my hotel room after being out all day but I tried to only go when it was time to sleep.
The Suites are beautiful spacious with beautiful in room jacuzzi. The regular rooms are not up to par. On our last visit the AC was broken, the Blind cover was broken, we found a use mask under our bed. The TV was pretty small would very limited channels. No wireless streaming setup as well.
Do not recommend. Front desk was a joke, had to change room 3 times because front desk guy Akash gave us a dirty/used room then he gave us a one bed when I paid for a two bed and same thing happened to the guy who was in front of us. Akash has us going up and down the elevator and was not bothered and did not care for his job.The room was semi clean and I understand you get what you pay for but this was beyond disappointing.
There wasnt one good experience. The room had filth & stains all over. Hallways & staircase was disgusting. With how fancy the lobby looks youd think it would all look nice but youd be wrong. I have worked with hotels in the past as security & it is understandable to have guests asks for any good locations or sight seeing. But highly inappropriate for the receptionist to offer to personally drive me & my child around. I played it off but did report this when I left. I felt highly unsafe in this area & couldnt even shower or feel ok to walk without shoes on. It appeared like bodily fluid on the floor (vomit right beside the bed & on the night stand) I couldnt stay here with the level of how unsafe I felt. I had Predators around the hotel make remarks to me & my child. I appreciate the night receptionist for being understanding I just cant not be honest in this review as I understand as a business, you should strive for the best. Not just pretty lobby with overly excessive mirrors. The tub sure looked fun. But not the hairs & other unhygienic things I saw. Just looking at the shower head alone made my child & I completely uneasy. Looking between the boxspring & matress I found more filth & even hairs that did not correlate to either me or my child. Please as a business understand hygiene is very important. The ac/ heater unit looked absolutely horrific & unexplainable that youll need to just look at the photos i took. I appreciate the male receptionist that night for not seeing me as stingy but understanding as I did not feel safe at all. I will try to post photos but things really needed to be cleaner.
Rude morning manager if you set something down or leave something in your room after check out they wont help you locate it by checking the camera they just trust the staff will turn it in and most of the maids are struggling or keep it for himself otherwise why be rude
This had to be one of the lowest forms of hotels we stayed at, the only positive thing was the staff. We got 2 non smoking rooms which both smelled heavily of cigarettes! And the floors were creaky and thier was this wierd wet spot on the carpet. And the tub which is suppose to be a hot tub didnt work. Wouldnt recommend.
Ok for the money. Cheap place and inexpensive. Very dated. Covid might be playing a role here. Overall staying here for me is like staying at a motel 6. Fine for a place to sleep if your activities keep you out from the hotel all day. Finally I feel safe enough here but if I was a women I might not. At times people loitering outside might give you pause .
It was nice and clean even though is old building but the very good with this hotel is the jacuzzi but the property owner change the check inn is 4 pm and they charge for late check out 30 mins for 50$ there’s no courtesy for early check inn and it’s late 4 pm then no courtesy for late check out also
Although I love the jacuzzi tub in the rooms the hotel is old and needs to be renovated. And no one was wearing masks but me all three times I went to visit a friend that was staying there. There is also homeless people roaming around the property and sleeping in the hallways. There was also suspicious characters staying there just hanging out in the hallways I didnt feel safe to even walk to my car.
Its not fancy but got the job done. My stay was eleven nights. Two nights of loud drunk neighbors winding the night down late (concerts at the Arena)... Other than that, I had a good stay.No bells or whistles, just basic (pandemic restraints, etc).Walking distance to a drugstore, Whole Foods, food or drinks and of course the Arena.
The hotel has updated pretty much everything. The carpet, the rooms, the entry. Its got old school vibe with new school attitude. I loved staying here. The walls are a little thin but all the guests seemed polite and recognized the need to be a little more quiet. If you can appreciated history and enjoy that old and new are melding at this hotel, then you should stay here. They even have a giant jet tub in every room. The beds were a little stiff for my liking but my boyfriend loved them. So its all in perspective. The rooms were really large as well. Plus the breakfast in the morning was delicious they didnt scrimp on anything. Staff was exceptional as well and i dealt with 3 different associates. All were customer service oriented. I would stay here again no question!
As close as you can get to the SAP center on a budget and feel good about money spent. Easy walking distance past a Whole foods then under a freeway and your there. Simple rooms with a parking lot in the back would definitely visit again when attending the SAP center.
I was there for a 2 night stay to see the IL Volo concert. Great points were the fast, easy check in. The jacuzzi bathtub was a huge selling point for me(recovering from torn cartilage in my knee) since I was able to relax and just unwind. The room was comfortable with a nice big bed. One more thing, the ladies running the breakfast in the morning all deserve a raise, they were simply wonderful.Bad points werent anything major, the hotel is a little dated, my room a little noisy and the heater/ac unit was really loud but still kept my room at a decent temperature. I think a few of these details could easily be fixed, but even with those small things I would love to come back for another stay and hopefully Ill get that chance again. Thank you for my wonderful experience at your great hotel.
The front desk staff was very friendly and when I asked to change rooms because the AC wasnt working in my original room, he allowed us to move to the room next door which and a perfectly working AC unit. This was a relief since temperatures were in the triple digits on labor day weekend. However, the first room we were booked into had no towels and as I said , the AC was not working correctly. Also, the first room had a coffee maker and complimentary coffee in it while the second room did not. The appearance of the rooms themselves is fairly accurate and pretty much match the pics but the bathrooms look seriously dated like they were left from a Motel from days past and there are several burn marks in the tubs and op wear and tear that looks like temporary dirt but is just worn out materials. Because these are the days of Covid, we cleaned the room ourselves and its good we did as the general look of things were like the rooms hadnt had a deep cleaning in a long time. There were also holes in the drywall for what appears to be old light switches and we also found one roach when we were checking the fridge one last time. I think that I might stay again but they need to do some serious upgrading, and better cleaning. Kind .of a disappointment. Of course, no breakfast per the county due to covid.
Very strange place. It seems like it was very nice at some point, that point just isnt now. The elevator is in terrible shape and seems very old, the heat lamp was completely rusty, the box spring was broken, as was the jacuzzi tub. Theres a rusted out phone hookup in the bathroom. Even still the sheets were clean, and we had a fine time, its just not a very nice hotel.
I stay here for months at a time for work for at least a decade. This place has gone downhill recently. Very loud at night. Night guy refuses to do anything at all about the noise of other people yelling in halls and even relied on another guest to calm someone down. There seem to be a number of homeless people either staying in the hotel or living out of their cars in the parking lot. Very seriously considering asking my company to start using another hotel despite the convenient location near where I work.
Positive: The jacuzzi bathtub. And thats about it. Negative: Yes, I had stayed more then 1 night. The first night I released that there was no plug for the bathtub. Called down to gest services and they couldnt locate one. The last night I was there, my room key didnt work, and then my room was assigned to someon
Honestly, this hotel doesnt deserve some of the bad reviews it gets. Its not fantastic but for the price you pay its great ( especially compared to some others Ive stayed in)The bed was comfortable and there was a big spa bath in the room.My complaints pretty much center on the fact that I couldnt fill the tub without the water going cold and the room air-conditioning being on the loud side.Free breakfast was ok. The eggs and sausage werent great but the waffles were awesome and lets face it, its a free breakfast. If you dont like it theres a Whole Foods next door to go buy breakfast at.
For the price this is a great value and a charming hotel. My wife and I loved the decor and it is really convenient to get to from the airport. We enjoyed the oversized jacuzzi tubs although beware, the drain is located right where youd stand for a shower and I managed to stub my toe on it. :(The rooms are large, with a mini fridge and microwave. The beds were a touch stiff for my taste but I like soft beds. Breakfast was better than average, with real cheese melted on scrambled eggs, nice touch!Plenty of parking, at least the night I was here. I wouldnt have any reservation to stay here again.
The bedrooms and corridors have been refurbished to a decent standard, the bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet with no outside or corridor noise.Cleanliness in the bathroom could be improved, there were lots of small damp patches on the ceiling and wall which really need cleaning but otherwise the shower is very powerful and the bathtub itself is clean. The towels are extremely soft!Breakfast was good for a freebie, selection of cereals, some hot food, pancakes etc with yoghurt and fruit. It was a bit strange to serve it on a paper plate but its nice food more importantly!Very conveniently located less than five minutes walk from the station with a supermarket, pub and coffee shop all immediately outside.
Serves it’s purpose by providing a bed and running water. Besides that leaves a lot to be desired. Cleanliness about a 6 out of 10. Sketchy environment but has security in the parking lot. For the price about par to what to expect. Will stay there again if last resort.
I want to give this hotel a better review as it has potential, but cant after the way we were treated while staying here. Within 10 min of entering the room the smoke detector went off for no reason. The front desk sent staff upstairs to check that we werent smoking which I thought was reasonable. They proceeded to tell me the detector is very sensitive and goes off for many reasons including people showering, etc. Over the course of my stay the same detector went off 4 times for no reason (we were not smoking in the room) and the last time it went off I tried to see if I could silence the alarm since my girlfriend was sleeping. The battery fell out so I put it back in and and turned the alarm back on- I myself am a mechanic and can assure you the alarm was not broken. Upon checking out I was told we had to pay a $50 fee for damaging the room. The hotel then tried to charge my card $250 when all they said they would charge was $50. They even threatened to call the police because we took an extra 15 minutes getting out of our room! Save yourself the drama and stay somewhere else! I felt I was treated in a highly unprofessional manner. The room was nice and spacious for the price, too bad the customer service was so poor.
I booked online and when I checked in the man at the front desk was impolite and looked at me like he was annoyed I was there. I went to my room and there were people already in it. I went back to the front desk and the man offered NO apology and went up to the room and found there was someone in the room and still offered NO apology and just very impolitely gave me another room.
The staff are super friendly and helpful. They have a complimentary breakfast buffet in the mornings but no hotel restraint which isnt that big of a deal since that area is full of them.Very close to the San Jose airport. They also have a designated smoking section with tables and benches that they keep very clean for their guests. The courtyard area is semi enclosed from the main street so its very quiet and is full off beautiful vegetation that usually doesnt grow very well in Cali but they maintain it to a lovely standard. Very peaceful in a hectic city. The prices, for Cali, are quite reasonable. The bathtubs are double wide Jacuzzis, quite luxurious! Not a 5 star hotel but still worth what you pay for.
The building next door was under construction and made going to the SAP Center inconvenient. But a good place to stay. Felt safe. The staff was friendly and the prices were affordable. The shower and tub were amazing. It had some nook and cranny flaws to show it was a bit beat up, but over all the hotel was nice and I would stay there again.
Large room, fairly comfortable bed. Seemed to be clean, but age/stains were showing, especially in the bathroom. The room had a flat-panel TV, but appeared to have mostly analog stations coming in - very low-resolution and static-y. Breakfast was pretty good, and included a full fountain soda machine - great for those of us who like their caffeine carbonated in the morning.Price was reasonably for the location, especially with the included hot breakfast.
Very cozy and quiet place to stay. I love the location and style of ther hotel. It is an older place ti stay but i think it adds to the character of the area. Rooms were spacious and the hot all you can eat breakfast was awesome. Within walking distance to places to eat and the SAP center.
This hotel is in a great location for events at the Sap center, but thats the only plus. It wasnt awful by any means, but its definitely time for some major upgrades and renovations. Also for whatever reason the maids never left clean towels and I had to go down and grab towels everyday.
I had a nice stay in this hotel, the room was really big and you have an iron inside the room which was really good for any business trip especially. The area was good and really near the train station and a Wholefood market is next to the corner, which is so convenient.Th negative point about the hotel is the breakfast, it wasnt at all delicious nor good.
They mention Free Breakfast and Free WiFI on the website and all platforms but fail to provide any. When asked for reasons the staff acknowledge the problem but didnt solve it throughout the stay. When asked why the WiFi is not working they say Its a free service not guaranteed to work. In 2020 they think internet is not a basic necessity which is just not okay... My advice to the hotel management is if you think Wifi/internet is not a necessity then shut down bookings online because anyway youre not updating your website with current amenities situation. Terrible.
Let me start by saying that the moment I walked into the establishment the manager was speaking to her employee very unprofessional. It was most definitely unwelcoming, needless to say, it was my first time at this establishment, but have always wanted to stay here because of the location and the outside of the building. She quickly profiled me as if I was a 3rd class citizen. She told the desk staff to make sure that we had our credit card and ID. Walking into the place looked old and ran down. The elevator looked as if it was going to break down, and the hallway when walking to the room was ugly and old. The upkeep of this place is not what you think. The upgrades on the room were on an only if it was broken circumstance; upgraded headboard and furniture, the tub was surprisingly clean- being the main reason I wanted to stay there. The place seemed to have bad juju, I woke up and felt very weird, and the place was just not warm and kept. The price was eh ok, I guess, I did get a deal, but the price I paid was not worth $150. Not to mention the bums and the other people of downtown in the parking lot or the man going through the dumpster as I was leaving, with rubbish spread out everywhere. Very disappointing and most likely will not be staying at this place again.
I have no idea how this place has such a high rating.Where to start? They say that the property underwent extensive renovations but it sure doesnt show. Im sure that they spent money to replace carpet and maybe even the furniture in the rooms, but whatever it cost, they overpaid. The carpet is cheap looking industrial tile-style carpet, and looks dirty. The furniture is low-rent laminate. Any purported facelift should have included bringing the look and feel of the hotel out of the 70s, and they did not accomplish that. They clearly didnt replace things like light switches, because the ones in my room were filthy with the accumulated dirt of 20+ years of dust, and crud. The sunken jacuzzi tub is better suited for a lovers retreat in the Poconos, and the fixtures look and feel cheap. On a positive note, the rooms are quite large, but thats totally wasted since the condition and decor just make you wish youd ponied up for the Motel 6 or Red Roof Inn.
We arrived 45 minutes before check in time, but it was not a problem! The room smelled so good. Very clean and roomy. I would recommend this hotel when in the area. Parking is free and easy. There are places to eat within walking. If you are going to a concert or event the SAP is within walking distance. Also, it is a non-smoking facility, which I really appreciate.
Arena Hotel is reasonably priced and is conveniently located on The Alameda, in a neighborhood with shops, restaurants, a CVS, and a Whole Foods Market. Parking in the outdoor hotel lot was plentiful when we arrived. The ample size guest rooms were clean and included a king bed, a Jacuzzi within the large bathtub, desk with ergonomic chair, flat screen TV, refrigerator, and microwave oven. There was NO in-room safe. The included breakfast was modest, and included some cooked items (scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, pancakes) and cold items (cereals, fruit, yogurt) but I was disappointed that they did NOT offer healthy items, like hot oatmeal. The front desk receptionist was friendly but we only obseved one person staffing that position at any given time. While we never experienced a wait, this could be an issue if many guests happen to arrive and/or depart at the same time.
My time there was pretty good but the overall place is horrible. Many problematic things happen there. A few weeks ago there was a car that came out of there that ran over a bunch of like bikes. There are always homeless or drug addicts around the place. It is also very dirty and the place is just dirty in the outside.
My husband and I stayed at the Arena Hotel due to it being close to the HP Pavilion, we were going to a concert there, we walked as it was block away. Our room was on the side that still needs remodeling but the room was very clean, the bed comfortable and we had an in-room jacuzzi that felt great. They serve a continental breakfast in the morning so that was a plus as well. The front desk was very pleasant. I have no complains at all.
Rooms were pretty nice and had an empty fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The jacuzzi tub worked well and the shower was nice. Theres also always coffee in the lobby and complementary breakfast. Only a couple reasons its not quite 5 star. The TV was small and a few channels were fuzzy. The Wi-Fi cut out in the middle of the night and I never got it to work till morning and the air conditioner was a little noisy. Also when I called to confirm my reservation I wasnt told there was construction next door that had closed the sidewalk so I couldnt easily walk to Whole Foods on the corner. Either way, I liked the staff and Ill be looking forward to returning in the future.
This is a great hotel if you say your expectations correctly: walking distance to SAP Center, very affordable, nice staff, and breakfast. The huge tub was fun to use, they had plenty of hot water. The beds were very firm, we had no problems sleeping.Breakfast was pretty standard hotel food: eggs, potatoes, bacon or sausages, waffles or pancakes, biscuits and gravy, cereal, yogurt, and canned fruit. They had a coffee machine with several options for cocoa and other flavors and a juice machine with orange, apple, and a fruit cocktail.
I visited a friend who was staying this hotel and I have say its pretty nice. It is conveniently located in the down town area with plenty of good restaurants and is a quick 5 minute walk to the SAP center. The lobby was nice and the rooms come with a private hot tub. My only complaint is one of the walls in the room was kinda staind and needed some paint but considering the location and price Its not a deal breaker. I would consider this a great contender for future stays in San Jose.
The location has an old nostalgic feel if you can get past the dirty carpets and walls and nasty smell. As we entered the hotel room the room appear to be clean and decent and decor. We quickly noticed that the bathroom door did not close as the door was warped. The bathroom toilet required you to hold the handle for a period time to get it to flush. There was some brown sticky stuff behind the bathroom door from the knob to the floor. One of the bedspreads on one of the queen beds had stains on it. The morning breakfast it was a collaboration of microwaved items. The eggs the bacon the potatoes the French toast and the pancakes were all being microwaved on the spot. The cranberry juice and orange juice for both watered down. The only positive things about this hotel are the friendly staff and the decent size rooms. I would not suggest you stay here unless you have no other choice.
My favorite reasonably priced hotel in San Jose. Each room has an indoor jacuzzi tub for two. Refrigerator and microwave. Friendly staff and good maid service. Within walking distance to the SAP center and some good local restaurants. Right next door to a CVS for late night munchies. I love this place and wish I could live here, lol.
Sadly, it’s a very old building in a state of disrepair. The walls are thin and you can hear everything, and I mean everything from your neighbors...and the neighbors down the hall. There’s free parking, but the parking lot seems to be a meeting area for LOUD booming cars, motorcycle groups, etc.I really dislike leaving a poor review, but this place was unsavory.
My major issue with this hotel is that it is right next door to where they are building a new apartment complex. If you want to sleep past 7 a.m. during this construction, pick another hotel. We were also located caddy corner from the housekeeping room. The walls are thin and so all noises were heard.I did really enjoy the extensive breakfast. Pancakes, biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon +++. And, I thought this hotel had some amenities that others hotels we stayed in didnt, For example, a vanity mirror.
They need more rooms that have more than one real bed. I stayed here for business and we needed 2 beds in the room. They brought up a cot that looked like it was 40 years old. I could feel every coil and bar on that thing all night long. Its definitely an affordable place to stay, but plan on giving up comfort for the cheap price.
I highly recommend this hotel and am glad I stayed here. I will definitely stay here again if Im in the area. Its a hidden gem in Downtown San Jose. Very close to the arena, obviously from the name. Rooms include a full breakfast that is good. Real food, not continental breakfast and its good food. The suite I had was very spacious and comfortable. The property is clean and has been kept up with remodels, not neglected and aged like many others. The staff is friendly, helpful and they got me checked in early with short notice, which was a great help for my family.
Flew in to see the Penguins and Sharks game and had an overall good experience. They beds are old and dip in the middle but were comfortable enough. My friend says hers didnt dip and she was very happy with it. The age of the building shows but I didnt have any issues with anything. It was a nice walk from SAP Center and the staff was friendly. My only complaint is how loud the building was - I could hear the neighbors talking and watching TV, the air was loud, the hallway was loud, and the plumbing was loud. Im also a very light sleeper and my friend slept fine, so make your own decision there I guess.
Quality hotel for a reasonable price. Perfect if your going to a Sharks game or some other event at SAP Center. Rooms are large and clean and the jacuzzi is a big bonus (more precise instructions on how to use it might be good though)The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a bit poor but we didnt have to leave hungry so it was fine.Definitely would recommend Arena Hotel!
4 night stay in November 2016.Pros: Clean, No bugs, Close to the SAP CenterCons: Very outdated, like 40 years outdated. Was told by the front desk that this was a family owned hotel from the start up until about 2-3 years ago. The new owners have a lot of work to do, no need to be negative but as you would guess, after 40 years - EVERYTHING- needs updated. The breakfast was included in the price of the room, nothing fresh, very generic menu and very bland. Nothing went wrong with my stay but nothing was very good. Was going to leave a 3 star rating but after thinking about it, I would not return. I hope they are able to get it turned around.
This was the worst hotel experience since several years. We have booked the Hotel due to the following description on their website.Arena Hotel features 89 newly renovated spacious guest rooms offering floor plans from Deluxe King Rooms, Double Queen Rooms, to Deluxe suites. The rooms have gone thought an extensive renovation to keep up with modern times. After checkin we went upstairs into our room. Bad surprise-only carpet and a couple of furnitures were renovated. Maybe the bathroom and walls were very charming 30 years ago but not according to the description on their website. See attached pictures from the bathroom. After this bad surprise I went down and asked at the reception for a renovated room but the answer from the guy at the reception was stunning: If you are not satisfied I can refund your room and you can go and look for another hotel room. I left him without further comment as I was too tired after a 15h flight. Next day I send a complaint email to the manager and he didnt answer the next 3 days. After I send an reminder he got back to us via email and he offered us a 50% discount on our first night and an additional 10% on our next stay. He didnt spend any word on the misleading description on their website as well as the unbelievable offer to leave the Hotel from his receptionist. This was by far the worst experience in a hotel for the last 5 years. I understand that sometimes things going wrong but after the receptionist made it even more worth the manager was just topping the whole experience.
Ive come here for business purposes and am very impressed straight away. Its excellent value for money and, although there are minor maintenance issues (the type that come with age) in my bathroom, its not something that concerns me at all.The breakfast is very substantial, with hot and cold options, and the dinner is a light snack buffet of cheese and crackers. The double jacuzzi tub is probably the best way you can possibly recover from a long-haul flight and my gosh they have the water pressure to cope with it! Amazing long, hot showers as well.My room is huge with a massive bed, kitchen area (complete with table), desk / work area and a Hollywood-style dressing table area thats perfect for beautifying myself. The free WiFi is easy to access and fast. And every member of staff Ive encountered has been super, super friendly and helpful.Overall, this has got to be the best value for money that Ive encountered on a business trip and Id be more than happy to stay here regularly.
I love this hotel. So glad I booked here. Friendly staff, nice large rooms, mini fridge and microwave, free parking and breakfast in a great location. All for a more than reasonable price. Will more than likely come back and stay again at the end of our road trip. Highly recommend.
We reserved our room online and when we arrived for check-in, the front desk clerk was very friendly and cheerful. We were provided with a clean, stylish room containing two very comfortable beds, a microwave, refrigerator, and flat screen TV. The continental breakfast had lots of great options, including various proteins (scrambled eggs, sausage, etc) which is quite rare. The location is very convenient (close to shops, downtown, etc.) with plenty of hotel parking available and a Whole Foods at the end of the block. This was our second stay here and well likely be back again.
I recently stayed for 3 nights and loved the huge room, the easy walking proximity to SAP arena, Caltrain and Whole Foods, and the friendliness of the staff. I found the room clean and functional, if a tad outdated. An air conditioning issue I had was addressed promptly by maintenance. The hot breakfast was welcome and substantial. I would recommend this hotel to friends.
What you expect from three star hotel. comfortable, clean, but has its edges. Room door was not properly fitted, could hear anything and everything that happened outside the hall. the bathroom fan capped out and so after I took a shower maintenance and security came up saying the fire alarm went off because of steam. allowed late check out until noon.
Very quaint, charming hotel. It was just a quick walk from San Jose SAP Center. Breakfast left alot to be desired - food was available, soda machine was not working, juice was not very tasty. The room was comfortable ~ but the carpets in the hallway were loose and old, they need to be replaced or stretched. Also the baseboards are missing thruout the hotel. It needs a good coat of paint and new carpet, and it would be a total 5 Star.
This will be my spot when I come to San Jose.I like this place. Its like a throw back to the seventies or eighties but in a good way. They dont have the disposable type of furniture, carpet and fixtures like most hotels have now. The hotel staff was super helpful too. All i had was a hundred, and the night clerk was happy to make change so i could get some water from the vending machine. If more places were like this, i would rarely stay at the chain hotels. Decent price too. The continental breakfast was the only disappointment in my stay.
Had a best experience a life memory I will never forget love the hottub bathroom and the front desk worker Neal was a big help for info and outstanding customer service I will come back again rooms are cleaned and beds are heaven.much thanks from Frankie Miranda vibanco
The receptionist was rude to me when I was trying to get a room and my father was waiting behind me tired of driving all the way from San Diego. The desk guy wasn’t explaining anything and he was replying in a bad mood to my questions because I couldn’t hear him because of the mask. We ended up leaving.
The hotel was pretty nice! My only issues were that there wasnt much access in the hotel to any snacks or beverages. There were two vending machines, one on the second floor that held snacks, and one on the third that dispensed drinks. Both of them only took cash which was fine. And then the only other issue I had was an odd noise in the hotel room. It sounded like an odd tapping noise, something electric in the walls.
This hotel took advantage of me when I was in a bind. charged me double the advertised rate. The room was adequate, but gave low volume luke warm water, bad furniture, antiquated bath room tile. The breakfast was cheap and uninspired. There are many nice hotels in the area, wish Id gone to one of them and not this place.
Four women took a trip together to San Jose for a birthday weekend to see Garth Brooks. We wanted to be as close to the SAP Center as possible so figured there would be sacrifices to make to get close. We were so incredibly impressed with the Arena Hotel! The double bed room was very comfortable for all 4 of us, the Jacuzzi tub was huge and relaxing and the location COULD NOT have been better! We had a fridge that made a clicking noise and the maintenance team fixed the issue while we were out for the concert. We did not stay for the complimentare breakfast, but I was very impressed with the offerings. Eggs, bacon, buscuits & gravy, waffles, potatoes and cereal options! We would stay there again in a heartbeat and still cant believe the great rate on the room. Thanks!!
Ive stayed here on a few occasions, and this is just an average hotel. It has potential to be much better if it was well managed. Ive had better experiences at budget hotels.Pros: Good location, close to HP Arena, downtown, shops. The building is attractive and kind of quaint outside. The rooms are pretty nice. Wi-Fi is included.Cons: The breakfast is unfortunately nasty, just mass produced eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns that all have a flat unappealing taste. There is some decent cereal tho. We nicknamed the bacon air bacon because it didnt really seem to have much substance to it, it just kind of dissolved in your mouth. The women who were running it were just siting in their room talking and not really paying attention to keeping things stocked. After eating this breakfast for the 2nd day, I did not feel that great, like there was a rock in my stomach and I had a mild headache. They could do so much more with this breakfast and play off the quaint building and make it like a European hotel breakfast! Also one of the interior enclosed stairways smelled strongly like carpet and glue, like it really needed to be vented out. Our safe in the room did not even have a keypad on it so you couldnt even use it.Another strange thing that happened on two different occasions in two different suites was that I was sleeping on the living room sofa bed and the lights kept coming on in the middle of the night! There was a sensor on the wall, and it must have been malfunctioning because I was not moving around, but the lights kept coming on and waking me up! Happened about 4 times and I finally had to take the bulbs out. There was no way to turn the sensor off too. We mentioned this to management, but who knows if they did anything. I think the hotel is on the cheap and trying to pinch pennies wherever they can. But whats the use of saving a buck if you loose a customer?
I would never come back to this hotel. The bathroom had rust stains, the hot water in the shower would turn hot and cold out of know where, the air conditioning was always on low battery, the room didnt look like the pictures online and the breakfast there was not good and the soda smelled funny like wet towel as if no one cleaned the machine. I was very disappointed.
They get a 1-star, for location only to SAP Arena. The manager is ridiculous, no help at all, and certainly no customer service or hospitality training!! Downright rude and abusive!! The room was DIRTY, caked on dust on hangers/luggage racks, old, dated, broken, torn furniture, plumbing issues, doors that do not close, etc....Charged 5* prices for weekend event(gouging customers), but have a 1* facility!! And NO dresser in the bedroom!!!! REALLY!! But give you dusty/dirty hangers, great job!!
Good price, friendly staff but the facility was shabby and run down. They didnt even get around to cleaning the hallways until after 5:00 pm the day we checked in. The mattress was hard, the pillow lumpy but the kicker was the party going on in the room next door. Had to call Management at midnight and again at 2:30 am and although they talked to the rowdy neighbors, they were not effective in shutting the party down. I got three hours of sleep before my flight out the next day. The location was good if you are going to SAP Arena but dont have high expectations.
The hotel is a bit dated, but is in good shape. The rooms are clean and provide two beds and a desk. The bathrooms have jet tubs that also serve as the shower, as well as a toilet. The sink and counter are outside the bathroom, near the door. All in all, 7 out of 10.
Hey the deluxe rooms are really nice, lots of space and couches, chairs table desk and two tvs one in the bedroom and one in the living room. In the bathroom they include the best jaquzzi that I have ever seen in my room . The location is great too next to the sap center and downtown night life . Im going to have to stay here again. P.s the breakfast was also much better than most places were donuts and coffee is all you get . Here you get eggs sausage toast yogurt oatmeal pancakes fruit , much better than the average. Hope Ive been helpful.
It is mostly clean. Front desk person was not very friendly. Internet is slow. The front of the hotel has a balcony that is right over the main entrance and is being temporarily braced with 2x4 beams. It looks ready to fall. Have seen several people at the front desk now and no one here knows how to be friendly. Forget using WiFi. Too slow to use.
Very reasonably priced for the location, the free parking and the size of the room 101(Handicap Access). We arrived on a Sunday night, my son with a freshly sprained ankle, to find the elevator broken! We were immediately transferred to Handicap access room 101 on the main floor. This room was exactly what we needed, theres a perfect roll in shower with fold down seat and toilet with access bars/railings.This is a large room with king bed that still easily fit the rollaway bed we requested. There is a fridge (can get really cold if wanted!), microwave and coffee maker. We slept with the windows open and found the hotel to be quiet, except for heavy footed guests above or the occasional idiot racing down the street - not the hotels fault. The rooms and decor are definitely dated and there is some old hotel and musty smells, but the comfort level is a ten.The front desk is very helpful and pleasant when needed. The breakfast is mediocre at best, bananas and fresh (versus syrupy canned) fruit would go a long way. Hot tables feature a scary looking huge egg thing , premade pancakes, constant supply of overcooked bacon, lukewarm potatoes, etc. Theres also cereal with milk, some yogurts and toasted raisin bread with butter, oatmeal, and a multichoice hot beverage machineIf you need a rollaway, bring some kind of foam pad (as I do wherever I go) or prepare for a lumpy thin mattress over hard bedsprings sleep.I would give 5 stars, but only ice machine that works is on the third floor, theres no pool, no exercise room and the TV reception is horrible with a weak channel availability.
When I arrived I was in need of a room while my train was delayed til the following day.the guy at the desk gave me a discount because he saw I am using a walker.not realizing that at first asking for disabled discount,he had said I already did because rooms are usually about $145 a night.i only charged you $109 altogether . Needless to say I was relieved and happy. The room was clean and a little cold. I turned on the heater,no biggie.good breakfast selection. 5 stars.
Friendly staff and good sized rooms, but even though I didnt expect much given the cheap price, this was a bit worse than I thought. Quite old with super noisy AC and minimalist breakfast buffet. Price, convenience and staff are really the only reasons why I feel like I have to give 4 stars even if, imho, it was not a great stay... you get what you pay for!
We frequent this hotel because it reasonably-priced, has a jacuzzi tub in every room, and serves a nice hot breakfast in the morning. The hotel is also walking distance from downtown San Jose. Unfortunately, the jacuzzi tub controls did not work at all, so we had to get out of the tub every time we wanted to turn the tub jets on and off.

2022-05-20The room was clean and housekeeping did a good job. We had to request an additional set of towels when we checked in, but that was quickly remedied by the helpful and friendly staff. A jacuzzi tub in the room was an unexpected plus. The location is very convenient. We had a car (there was ample free parking for guests), but the local bus stops right outside. Good places to eat are also within walking distance. Id stay here again

2022-04-24Reading the reviews after booking my stay made me a little nervous about staying here but I just kept my booking. Checking in was super easy and fast , the staff could have been more welcoming. Front desk staff was just too dry for me but not rude. The smell of the hotel and rooms was clean , no issues with that. I might say that this Hotel needs a major update. Everything is supper run down and old, its not dirty its just very old. Recommendation for the owner, just start renovating one room at a time you dont have to close down. Just a tip to future guest, come in check in at 4pm and not to late because the parking fills up fast. Very convenient to SAP just a 5 minute walk.

2022-04-06The front desk staff were very nice. The room was dirty. It had not been vacuumed and there was a bowl of rotten food in the room. The location is great, really close to the arena. If the price is right, I might try it again. The fold out couch was bent up. The roll away bed was comfortable enough. But overall it was really a disappointment.

2022-04-25My family and I have been staying here for 25+ years. Used to be great! After our recent experience, we will never stay here again! $50 extra if you want to check in early, $20 extra if you want to use the jets in the tubs! They no longer serve breakfast. Super shady! Upon checking in, the guy behind the front desk and a customer were exchanging words, I had to immediately take my kids outside to get them away from that situation! Upon spending an extra $50 to get into my room early, there was open food in the fridge, mold covered the bathroom wall and ceiling, towel holder in the bathroom was completely rusted! Walls had peeled paint, patches everywhere where old things may have used to hang! Light fixtures were missing covers. It’s obvious that the hotel doesn’t care. I mean look at all the 1 star reviews it’s getting constantly! I have so much more negative things to say since my family members also were in rooms and 1 group of us literally had to go to the best western because the non-smoking room, smelled worse than a casino! My nephew with asthma couldn’t handle it. Front desk said sorry, you already sat on the bed and disturbed the room therefore we cannot refund you! It took a really mad grandpa to get the room refunded. DO NOT STAY HERE! PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND SPEND THE SAME AMOUNT AND GO TO ANOTHER HOTEL!

2022-03-20Got there around 2 and asked to check in early. Guy at the desk was very rude. No hello or anything. All he said was, no early check in. Not until 4.Came back at 3:30 and a very long line of people waiting to check in at 4. Nobody was accepted a minute before.Jacuzzi hot tub/shower didnt drain properly, so couldnt even enjoy the hot tub.Bed wasnt comfortable at all. Blanket wasnt even thick enough.Patches on the carpet dragged the room decor down.We read a lot of bad reviews of the hotel from others and we still took a chance. Wish we hadnt because it was not worth our stay for one night.

2022-07-05We got in late night after a concert. Staff was very nice although it took over an hour to get checked in because if thier computers. They ended up giving us a 50$ discount and a late checkout. Room was clean but no frills. Not bad for the price and late night availability.

2022-06-20The room was very clean and pretty nice. The jaccuzi bath was enjoyable too. It was a nice surprise. Well definitely be coming back in the future. The man at the front desk was extremely rude. The reservation I made was accidentally for the next day and he almost refused to give me and my bf a room. I preferred to get the room in person so I called about availability and was told it was mandatory to do it online. I was told you couldnt go to the front desk and get the room. Which I thought was weird but i did it anyway. The room itself was great the the staff at night was VERY unpleasant.

2022-01-20I have stayed at this Hotel before when coming down to walk the Sharks game, I was there this past weekend and let me tell you I wont be staying here anymore. Not only was there stains on my sheets, there was 2 large red stains (not sure from what) on the carpet, the bathroom caulking needed to be re done, there was mildew on the outside of the tub. I did use the jacuzzi bath which I do not think I will ever use one ever again in a hotel. I got up in the middle of the night and the tub was so disgusting and filled with dirt and black stuff. When I tried wiping it out it didnt even come off. I had to let the hot water run in the shower before it began to come off. I felt so gross that at 3am I found my self showering. So disappointed.

2022-02-08We stayed at this hotel for one night to go to a concert at the SAP center which is only five minutes away. When we got there are itineraries says 3 PM check-in we were not allowed to check in until 4 PM the staff was very rude about it! The atmosphere looks nice but looks can be deceiving ! When we were able to check into the room (motel six could do a better job) There was mold in the bathroom and the Jacuzzis I wouldn’t trust to get into. The cleanliness of the room was sketchy we only use the bed and that was it. You could hear people walking upstairs and people in the hallway walking and talking. And the TV didn’t work very well! The snack machines and the ice machines didn’t look very clean so we did not use them! I was very disappointed with our stay and will not be returning.

2022-01-15This is conveniently located next to the SAP Center a whole foods and plenty of amenities up and down the road. The parking is great and it is covered with a bunch of cameras. The place itself Im sure has a lot of history. The room we had was great but you can definitely tell it is a little outdated but it is very spacious but one problem we had was ants in the tub and some type of dark and green stains at the bottom of the tub. It is fully equipped with a bunch of amenities inside. As long as you dont mind some outdated stuff or discolored areas, you should be fine!Oh! There is a $100 deposit fee but youll get it back anywhere between five to seven business days.Go Sharks! 🦈
