Our favorite place to stay when were on the Central Coast. Everything about the place from the rooms, to the location (smack dab in the middle of the village of Arroyo Grande) to the employees is first rate. (The breakfast, imo, isnt the best which is why I generally bring my own.)
First of all Ethan Minicucci was extremely helpful when asked on a busy Saturday if he could help us get a room as early as possible for a 90 year relative. He called us back to say he reserved the 1st room available for early check in. He also notified us of the next available room. So appreciated after long road trip.
Pros: CleanGreat bedNice toiletriesAir conditioner/heater worked greatQuiet prperty (except for some noise from the restaurant.)Cons: water pressure in shower is bad-took me twice as long to wash off soapTV is hard to operate-it stopped working and I called the front desk but they were too busy to answer-took me another 20 minutes to be able to use itRoom is dark-even with all LEDs on, it felt darkCoffee maker is in the darkest part of the room- couldnt see instructions, etc.Breakfast was meager. I asked for a muffin and got one the size of a quarter. No options for low fat yogurt, etc. (Plain would be nice.). The one thing good at breakfast was the coffee.
What a gem of a property. Has everything you want for either a quick overnight, or long weekend of leisure. Awesome location in the center of great shops and restaurants. Super spacious rooms that have an almost whimsical modern farm vibe. Super clean, great lighting in the rooms, charming lobby that is super inviting to hang out in and excellent staff.
The rooms are very nice, the beds are comfortable and theres a great restaurant next door and a convenience store across the street. Spacious rooms with microwave, keurig and refrigerator. Its in the village and the amazing downtown area with a lot of restaurants and shopping. I love this little town! You wont be disappointed with this hotel!
Hotel was very clean, cute, and spacious. Fantastic room with a great balcony and view from it. Staff was very welcoming and kind. Appreciated the boxed breakfast to go in the morning to keep COVID friendly. My dog was welcomed and there was plenty of places to walk him with poop bags provided if you needed them. Loved the chance to visit the town and will definitely stay again if I’m in the area.
This is as good as it gets. All around. Hotel location, Staff, cleanliness, comfort, attention to detail, customer service, environmental concerns...everything. This hotel is brilliant and doing everything right. If you are looking for scent-free rooms, excellent hotel staff, great food, comfortable beds (a bit on the firm side, but a topper we purchased made it just fine for our stay), large clean rooms, a real commitment to being a truly smoke-free hotel (smoke-free staff too!) and all the while remaining warm and welcoming, this is the hotel. Parking was free and ample. The large tub in our room was a dream to come home to each night and the large shower for my spouse was a joy. The bathroom was bright and elegant with dual sinks so we both could get ready without ever getting in each others way. There was plenty of room for us and we never felt cramped. Breakfast had options galore (vegan, vegetarian and carnivore) and the robotic automatic pancakes made us giggle each morning. Terrific restaurants were walking distance and so many choices! We felt very safe and it was in a nice area of town. We even got greeted by the neighborhood orange and white cat who was so friendly as it prowled the gardens. There is a really nice walking path right behind the hotel for long, leisurely walks or a good workout. Reception and housekeeping staff felt like family. It really was the BEST experience at a hotel we have ever had in our lives! Thank you and I hope nothing changes as we already want to come back.
We stayed here Labor Day Weekend...we loved it, nice layout and pet friendly. They had boxed breakfast and it was full of healthy goodies...staff were friendly, helpful and the best part, its walking distance to downtown heritage areas, with awesome shops and eateries...we will definitely come back and we already told all our family members about this place. Thank you❤
Was pretty nervous staying here as word on the street was that is was just opening that weekend. I expected a ton of unfinished rooms, no internet, untrained staff, just chaos and harried construction.Pleasantly it seems like they finished with time to spare! The place looks great with some slight modern touches that make it feel fresh. The staff was great and helpful when we needed a band-aid. The breakfast was pretty basic, but its always nice to start your day with eggs and sausage. The coffee was actually not bad (super shocking in a hotel setting)All of that and youre within walking distance of a really fun main street with great restaurants and shops.Would absolutely stay here again.
This hotel put us in a room that smelled like mildew. That night we woke up to the bathroom flooded with water. Hotel staff knew about the problem with that room and put us in there anyway!! No apology, no offer to move us to another room. This hotel does not care about their guests.
The bathroom was amazing, the room was spacious, very clean and well decorated. The bed was perfect, the tv was actually a lot larger then in many other hotels. They brought me an extra blanket in the middle of the night. There was a nice balcony. Breakfast was so/so, but it was food. There was also a business center with a printer/copier, just black and white but that also got the job done.
We reserved a wedding block of rooms at the Agrarian Hotel for our wedding on 9/21/19 and it was among the best decisions we made while planning our wedding. In total, our guests accounted for at least 30 of the hotels 54 rooms. We got nothing but positive feedback. We had shuttles take our guests to the reception venue and Fred, the general manager, allowed us to have the shuttles come right on property. We also asked the front desk to hand out welcome bags to our guests, and they graciously agreed to do so.Rates were fair, especially considering that its right in the Village. The location is one of the best parts about the hotel.Highly recommend.
The Agrarian is a delightful hotel. The staff is friendly and so helpful. The rooms are nice with comfy beds, big showers, and balconies. The breakfast was very good with lots of choices, eggs, sausage, hash browns and they were not in stea mers which make the food less than appealing. The warmers were a different kind, there was cereal, toast, oatmeal with toppings including fresh strawberries, which also were good on the pancakes which were made in there own special machine. You just push a button, and in a few minutes you have two hot, freshly made pancakes. We enjoyed our stay!
Beautifully furnished, tucked away in this quiet little village of Arroyo Grande. Lots of eateries, vintage shops, antiques and much more. The grounds are eco friendly with lots of nature around. Rooms are spacious and modern. Very clean. Staff is friendly and service impeccable.
Hotel is nice until you wake up to a flooded bathroom. Front desk said they have issues and were replacing faucets. Housekeeping wasnt in yet but never was sent once they were in. Nothing was done to make up for this experience. Filled out a survey and manager offered me 25% off. What a joke. Find a place with better customer service.
Such an amazing property! I came here a few days after the grand opening and was blown away! It’s for sure the best hotel in the city. The property is clean, beautiful, and offers exceptional customer service. The whole rustic and chic vibe of the hotel is just a bonus! It’s also near a bunch of vineyards and in walking distance of lot of shops and restaurants so you don’t need to go out looking for anything! I’ll be visiting this place every time I come to arroyo grade for sure!
Property was in a perfect location & extremely clean. The staff was very nice & helpful. We spoke with a gentle man at the front desk (sorry we did not get his name) & with Cora; both were very helpful, professional and very pleasant! We will definitelty be returning!
Happy that there is finally a place in the Village! The staff is generally very helpful and friendly. I love the rooms, and how there are huge windows! I will say their breakfast is nothing special, actually a little worse than regular Best Westerns Ive stayed in, especially when you stay when the hotel is pretty empty but that is my only complaint.
Conveniently located close to freeway access and local dining and drinking. The rooms are clean and have simplistic style. Plenty of USB outlets for charging devices. They serve breakfast which is very convenient when traveling for business. Staff was pleasant and helpful.
There was no hot water during our stay. We called Saturday night to try to get it fixed, but they just gave us some tricks to make it work (turn the sink on and the shower at the same time.) That didnt work, and after a long day, we decided to call t a night. We tried showering the next morning as well and what do you know, still no or water. We had to leave the hotel without showering and as we were walking out, we heard the front desk receptionist talking about us. Not the best experience.
I was greeted by the joyous face of the desk clerk when I first walked in. He showed us all the popular attractions around town and also recommended us the best restraunts in the near by vacinity. I look forward to coming back to Arroyo Grande just to stay at this welcoming hotel.
Very nice hotel in a great location, it’s along the main area in Arroyo Grande and it’s within minutes of great views. Across the street is a scenic river with a nice trail to follow. The hotel itself is very nice, the rooms are clean and spacious, the breakfast was decent, and the overall aesthetic is very nice. It would have been 5 stars if the lights in the bathroom would have stayed on by themselves and if it wasn’t as difficult to check out as it was for me and my family. Overall we had a fairly pleasant experience despite these little bumps in our stay.
Worst customer experience ever. The manager, Fred Reed, was extremely rude, and the reception assistant, Marisol Perez was completely useless. We booked two rooms, for 7 people, and when we arrived to the hotel they said they couldnt find our reservation and that they were fully booked. We had two email confirmations of the booking, and we found ourselves without a place to stay on a Saturday night. Not only that, they treated us like garbage (specially the manager, Fred Reed) and didnt help us finding alternative accommodation.
The general manager fred reed checked us in.. He was very nice, we were checked in and in our room within 10 minutes. Our room was very nice and clean. Our balcony was over looking the pathway in the back.. Had a beautiful view. We went straight to the pool.. the pool area was nice.. Had comfy pool chairs and lounges. The manager, fred reed stopped by the pool and offered everyone a bottle of water. The remote to our TV didnt work, marisol from the front desk came right up to our room and reset the TV. The hot breakfast was delicious.. Unfortunately we only stayed one night but we will be back again.
Looking for a small hotel in a quiet town, then look no further. Stayed in one of their king bed suites and have the following ratings based on my experiences:All scores are based on a 1 to 10 with 10 being the best.Bed = 10View = 9Breakfast = 9Cleaniness = 10Accomodations = 10Additional plus is the balcony attached to the rooms. Very comfortable place to sit and relax. I will definitely be back. Highly recommended for those wishing to go to the Pismo area. No resort fees hidden in their rates.
The Agrarian is a very nice addition to the AG Village. In my stay, I was greeted with a nice spacious suite with a comfy Tempur Pedic bed. Inside, the bathroom was everything you’d hope for in a master bathroom in your home. My only complaint ,ay be that the TV was a bit small when put in proportion with the room. Outside was a nice view of the rest of the agrarian (yeah I used that word!) village. When I woke up in the morning, I was served a delightful breakfast, hot and ready to eat, unlike other hotels. All in all, I had a wonderful stay at the Agrarian and would definitely recommend this hotel anyone looking for a hotel in the area.
My wife wanted to take a short trip with one night off and I found this gem of a place online. I had no idea how enjoyable our stay would be. It is a beautiful place in a nice setting and a cozy little town. We enjoyed it so much we extended our stay an extra night. The facility is very well kept, very clean, nice little pool and jacuzzi, a good breakfast, and nice staff. The front desk people were very nice. I saw four of them in two days. Arik was a fantastic guy and we had a very enjoyable conversation. There was one younger man, however, that was not the most friendly and pleasant. I hope the owner will speak with him.The hotel has a beautiful walkway for a nice walk and to clear your mind. Balcony was lovely and the neighborhood is family area and peaceful. Were coming back!
The worst experience as a customer. We arrived on a Saturday at 7pm, we had 2 rooms reserved for a total of 7 people and upon arrival we were told that they had no record of our reservation and that they were complete. We had 2 emails confirming our reservation, but it didnt help. Both the receptionist, Marisol Pérez, and the manager, Fred Reed, completely disregarded and did nothing to help us find alternative accommodation. Not only that, but also the manager spoke to us in a threatening tone and left us on the street, without a place to sleep, in a city unknown to us on a Saturday night. In case something was missing, the hotel did not have complaint forms.
The worst experience Ive had in a hotel, thanks to the incompetent manager Fred Reed and the receptionist Marisol Pérez. We made a reservation, we had the confirmation emails, and when we arrived they told us what they did not find the reservation and were complete. They didnt help us find another place to stay, they threw us out like dogs on a Saturday night, no matter what there were no hotels available in the area.

2022-06-17Wow this little hotel is amazing! Great value. Super comfortable beds. Very clean. Balcony views of the cute town. Quiet and peaceful. Wonderful check in and service. My sister and I came up for a wedding and wished we couldve stayed longer! Were planning our next trip back here. What a gem!!

2022-06-30It was a beautiful room, comparable to some of the vineyard hotel rooms Ive seen, though slightly scuffed up here and there, but without a microscope it was great for the off-season locals price. There is a trend Ive noticed among the hotels that are trying to seem nicer and that is that the pools are tiny and shallow. But all together it had a really nice vibe. Perfect if youre visiting and wanting to hang out in the village.

2022-06-20The service at the front desk was amazing. Their staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was exactly what you would expect, and had all the hotel amenities. The breakfast served in the morning was fresh, and there was a great selection. Parking at this location isnt too bad, although its partially shared with the bar. Its in a great location in downtown AG.

2022-06-05This hotel was clean, comfortable and nicely furnished. It’s also in a quiet neighborhood so I was able to enjoy relaxing on the balcony without loud freeway noises. I would definitely stay here again and drive my EV next time. They have Charging stations here too!

2022-03-25I was very distressed that the Hotel advertised on line booking when in fact, it is not through the hotel but Reservations.com. My herniated disc made me need to cancel my reservation (over 48 hours before which is fine for hotels ) but not for the Resevation.com. I can get proof of my medical emergency but they said it was not a guarantee.DO NOT USE THE ONLINE BOOKING!!!Call the hotel directly.Shame on Best Western for directing customers to Reservations.com!
