My daughter has improved a lot in math. She loves going, staff makes learning experience fun and Fred is personal and professional. He greets every child with handshake and by name. His updates and recommendations are well informed and knowledgeable. This is worth every penny.
We have a lot of experience with Sylvan Riverside. My son has been going there for many years for tutoring and summer classes. The program they have is great with being able to see the skills they are missing. Regular conferences make it easy to know exactly what their progress is. My son (10) says, “I love how Sylvan teaches me in a unique way for each person which really helped me catch up with my math skills and reading.”
My son has been coming to this location for about 6 months. He has always had a very hard time learning and was recently diagnosed with Dyslexia. I am so pleased with his progress. He is progressing even more quickly than what was projected. Taking my son to Sylvan is the best educational decision I have made for my son.

Sylvan has helped my son improve in just a few short month. He has gone from a 1.1 GPA to a 3.5. Not only has it helped build his skills in reading and writing but has also help build his confidence. The staff are supportive, helpful and caring. I can not thank them enough for all their help.
My daughter was having some trouble with reading. I brought her to Sylvan to get caught up, and in less than a month I noticed a changed. She soon noticed a difference herself. This place is expensive, but our children’s education worth it. Especially, if it really helps the child grow! I wish I could keep her in tutoring all the way until her High School graduation day.I did have a concern with the way my child was being greeted, but as soon as I addressed it, the problem was fixed right away.Great place, 👏🏾
Our 10th grader was struggling in math this past school year and we did not know what else to do, so we turned to Sylvan and not only did they work on his math skills, they also brought his reading skills and his writing skills up to grade level! We were so happy with the progress that we enrolled our next child into their program for the summer! We are definitely fans of Sylvan!
Sylvan has helped my son tremendously. He is in third grade and I brought him here because his teacher had told me that he needed to be sent back to second grade. I spoke to Fred over the phone, which is and incredible person to talk to, and we set up an appointment to meet in his office. My son enjoys coming and learning. I see the improvement in his reading as well as in his attitude. He is more confident and acknowledges that Sylvan is helping him.
Ive been taking my two kids to Sylvan for nearly two years now. The staff is friendly, courteous and really seem to care about the education and development of my children. They also interact with their teachers and coordinate a learning plan to help them both succeed. Thank you!
My son has been going to Sylvan for almost one year to improve on his Math skills. He likes going every week. They have helped him with his Math skills and he continues to show progress. He also likes to earn tokens and save for something that he wants in the Sylvan store.

We brought our grandson to Sylvan to help him become a better reader. We felt welcome from the moment we walked into the front door. The staff were friendly and answered all of our questions. They say Learning is Personal, and that is just how it is at Sylvan. Josh attended Sylvan for 7 months and now he loves to read. He is starting off this school year with a positive attitude. I am very happy with this tutoring center. My son has improved significantly from his reading sessions here. He is reading more independently and his spelling is improving as well. The teachers are nice and always happy to see the kids.
My daughter just started Sylvan this month and she is already showing progress. The tutors are amazing, my daughter loves coming to each session. Everyone is very welcoming, and they work with my schedule. If my daughters happy, im happy!
I have been taking my son to this center for about a month now. As a parent, I was apprehensive that my son would want to go because he already had a difficult time just completing the regular homework he had for school. To my surprise, he actually really enjoyed going and did not even mind working on the subjects that he struggles with the most. He has had a great attitude and is already showing growth. To add to that, he is gaining the self-confidence he needs to be a successful learner. I would recommend others to try it out, whether its to help a struggling learner or just to give your child the skills to be advanced.

Sylvan has helped both of my girls excel in their math grade. They love going there and working with the teachers. I hear nothing but positive feed back from my girls when the get in the car and that makes me happy.
Our daughter was struggling with her reading and writing. Before the Holidays (after report cards) we knew she needed something.We called Sylvan and I cannot say enough how AMAZING they have been!! They care about each child and the parents. They go above and beyond even communicating with the Teacher(s) involved. Most of all THEY HELP!! Our daughter just won the end of the Year award for MOST IMPROVED FOR ENGLISH AND WRITING (TOP BUG AWARD) Her grades have ALL improved and our smart little girl is thriving! We have all three of our children at this location. We started because our second grader was behind, then added our third grader to help him get ahead and then our Kinder just because her brothers loved going so much she wanted to go and earn tokens too! Learning is just FUN! They also offer a Robotic class that my son LOVES!

Right from the start of meeting everyone they made me an my child feel welcomed . Jonathan hadnt even started an he was super excited for his first day after our meeting with getting enrolled. Did i mention how they are very flexible with my crazy schedule. I’ve been taking my 5 year old son here for the past month and a half now and I’ve noticed such a change, his teacher has as well. We could be more thankful and the staff is amazing too! I highly recommend this place to anyone who’s considering tutoring services!
Everyone at Sylvan have been great so far. My daughter loves going and enjoys spending time with her teacher. The only reason I am giving four stars is because the teacher is always concerned with the way the students are sitting at the table. It is not the students fault if the table is high up and the chairs are matched to the height of the table. So, younger student’s feet are off the ground and if sitting back like she wants, the students have difficulty seeing everything on the table. If the student scoots up in the chair they tend to stand. Then the teacher asks the student “ is that the way we sit in our chair.” Amongst other comments about the way students sit at the table.
The staff at Sylvan Learning of Riverside took the time to analyze my child’s needs and identified deficits to address. I have been pleased with the writing that my child has been able to produce as a result of being part of this program.

Sylvan is the best place to go if any child is needing a little help in school. They really helped improve my younger sisters grades in school it helps that it is a one on one course which helps her concentrate better and they just really care about her
Sylvan Learning of Riversides staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Even after a long day at school my 11 year old is actually excited to go to Sylvan! We highly recommend this location.

2022-05-24I am very glad that we were able to utilize Sylvan Learning Riverside the past two years. During the pandemic my children were experiencing some learning loss. During their time with Sylvan they were able to progress their math skills. They will be returning to in-person traditional school and I feel confident that they will be ready for the upcoming school year. I was also impressed with communication (Fred and Marilyn) and the ability to work with our schedules.

2022-04-13Our son began kindergarten, the year schools shut down. Fast forward to his first grade year and enrolled in private school, he struggled with the work presented to him. We enrolled him into Sylvan, for reading and within a couple of sessions, his confidence improved. We are 100 hours in, now, and our kiddo is excited for his evening reading sessions. His teacher has noticed an improvement, the conference’s and communication are wonderful. Overall a really great program and worth the money.

2021-12-08We brought our son here for an enrichment program. Week after week he loves to go and has shown continued growth. The staff are organized and friendly. It’s an excellent environment for children to learn and grow and my son is a prime example of that.

2020-11-10I am a Harvard grad with an advanced degree in business. My wife is working on her general eds through RCC. I look to the future and my wife is planted firmly in today. We dont always agree, except when it impacts our children.My daughter was having some difficulty in school. She was not confident in her abilities and WAS almost two grades behind where she should be. We went looking for a program to bring her up to grade level. We found Sylvan.Sylvan brought my daughter up two grade levels in six weeks. She participates in class and is engaging with ideas beyond just repeating information. Sylvan has been an amazing investment for my daughter.Parent to parent - Business is increasingly reliant on math skills. The success of our children is going to be based on how well they can understand information, convert it, and present it. The next generation will not be successful without the types of skills Sylvan can teach beyond the classroom.

2020-05-21Sylvans style of teaching and philosophy is in line with our own. Our kids love the experience and has improved so much. We like that you conduct placement testing and teach according to the kids needs. The parents conference every month is nice. We are able to monitor their progress. Sending our kids to Sylvan is a great opportunity for them and a good investment for their future.

2021-04-14This school year is far from the Norm and I felt my daughter was falling behind. I took her into Sylvan and I can see a complete turn around on her attitude toward school. She gets excited when she talks about what she has accomplished while in tutoring. I would definitely recommend!!!!

2019-05-07My son started at the beginning of April and it has been amazing. This has been my sons 3rd place of tutoring and by far has is the best. Its a little bit more than the other places, but as the saying goes you get what you pay for. If you want the best for your kids this is the place to be at. My son loves it so much and he has been improving in math in one month. Also I was extremely impressed with how Sylvan communicated with my sons teacher. No other place ever took the time to get on the same page with the teacher. I have been impressed and cant wait to see how much more my son learns. Thank you Sylvan...

2021-04-14My son was failing 12th grade math. After 2 tutoring sessions he got a 97 on his test and now has a B. He said he learned more in the 2 sessions than he had all quarter. We love the specialized tutoring he receives to help with complex math! We highly recommend Sylvan!
