Its the bomb. Its an excellent burger, perfectly made...the teriyaki beef burger has grilled teriyaki beef on top of the beef burger Patty. Its enormous, juicy and satisfying. Be aware: I had one at 230 in the afternoon and didnt eat again for the rest of the day. Also be aware: the large French fries are large enough to feed three people, esp with the enormous burgers. Amateur tip: we placed some fries in the bottom of the to-go carton and they soaked up the drippings. Next time Ill try the onion rings
Nooooooooooo... never again... the lady wasnt friendly.. the food... not great.. this was recommended to me by my daughter.. but noooo.. and the price..$29. NEVERNIND for cheeseburger combo and teriyaki bowl...😬😬😵😵😵🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯... dont go.. save your money for better food and friendlier owners....
This is definitely a hole in the wall kind of place. The bun is just ok, plain fixings, but that patty is something else. Every burger joint has thin patties. This one is thick and cooked perfectly. Its that good to keep this place at 5 stars for what it is. The chicken sandwich comes with two chicken patties. It sounds like it might be too much chicken on a sandwich but its actually really good. Its like the patties youd buy at Costco, but its crispy and done right. They have a small parking lot, but there is lots of street parking available since there are no other eating joints nearby -- at least none that I noticed since I was fixated on my burger the whole time.
Best cheeseburger in Pasadena! I ordered the double with cheese and grilled onions. It was huge and delicious! I’m a big guy, but I can imagine a lot of people may need a for and a knife for this double. The burger was cooked just right, the bun was delicious, and the cheese was melted perfectly.
Hot dang these are amazing burgers. The standard cheeseburger is huge and perfect all three times I have been here. I haven’t tried the other food yet because I keep getting the burger each time I am here. The fries and onion rings are huge portions and on point as well. Nice people, great food, fair price, I am glad to see them doing well. Everyone leaves with a full belly and a smile.
I’m not a burger connoisseur or anything but I’ve had my share of burgers and so far, this is THE BEST burger I’ve had. I’ve recommended this place to anyone who cares. To be clear, it’s not a fancy burger and the other items on the menu, including the fries, are nothing special but the burger patties themselves are phenomenal. Juicy and thick and cooked to perfection. Try this place out!!
I went to super burgers and the burgers tasted like someone would make at home. As in made with love and care. The buns were doughy and soft, which I really enjoyed compared to buns one would get that are at times dry. I will be returning again since I really enjoyed not just the burger but the service as well.
I found Super Burger on a best of takeout list for the Pasadena area. I live in Los Angeles and Im no stranger to paying anywhere from $10-15 for a cheeseburger. That said, I had realistic expectations for a $5.75 cheeseburger, a price point comparable to Shake Shack or In n Out. Well, I can confidently say that my cheeseburger from Super Burger was as good or better than any burger for which Ive paid up to three times more. The burger was the perfect size and all the ingredients were high quality. Super Burger will definitely be one of my go-to places when I have a crazing for a cheeseburger!
The name is fitting for the burger they serve. They use real meat that is not just frozen which explains the slightly higher pricing over other burger joints. The cheeseburger and pastrami burger are my favorite, and they sure are filling. Burgers are very tasty. The fries here are nothing special and honestly I skip them myself since the burgers are good enough on their own.
This spot has good burgers. Fresh meat patties. The burgers are BIG. Fresh produce is also used. Customer service was good. The draw back is that there is no parking. They also have other items on their menu which I have not tried but looks good. I also appreciate the flexibility with special orders.
One of the best simple no frills burgers Ive had. Bun was soft and sweet. Right amount of lettuce/tomato/onion. Sauce was really good. The patty it self was cooked perfectly juicy but with a nice char on the outside. The fat content of the patty gave a good balance between not too greasy and great flavor. The fries and onions werent anything special.
These burgers here were delicious. The hype is real. Im sure they make their own patties here judging by the size and the looks of the patties, not one Patty was the same. They were extremely juicy, tender and full flavor. If you enjoy in and out down the street, try these burgers you will not be disappointed. I could honestly say its one of the best burgers Ive had in a long time. Similar to Farmer boys all natural burger.
Food was fine. The lady at the counter is very rude. Snapped at me get away from the counter. Even though we were both wearing masks. After we got our order. We sat at a table outside of their stand and started eating. The same lady shouts out the window you cant eat here go away. To which I had no response before we could pack up our 13 dollar combo, her son was standing over us. I told him please tell your mother she should learn how to speak to her customers. It was rude. He immediately started cursing at me saying no your rude. My male co-worker ,An ex marine immediately started yelling back at him. As I walked back to the car. I wanted no part of the scene. The two men were shouting back and forth at one another . The son started video taping my friend as he walked back to my car. Then I who was not involved at all was also taped. Luckily the old man came to get his son so we drove off. Luckily it didnt escalate into anything physical. I think its a sign of the times. Maybe they have experienced discrimination as Asian Americans before which is why it escalated so quickly to a shouting match. Either way it made me sad I wasted money patronizing a mom and pop shop instead of an In and out burger only to be talked to like a dog after combined, spending 30 on a couple burgers and soggy fries. This should never be the new normal. Bad customer service is never acceptable.
GO HERE! This is one of the best burger joints in Southern California. You wont be disappointed. I would drive an hour to get food here. The staff is great, burgers are beyond what you are expecting. If you get a double cheeseburger come hungry because its HUGE. I measure all my burger experiences off of this place! Hand formed patties, a well seasoned grill, and perfect sear on the burger.
The burgers are delicious. Try one of their concoctions or design your own, you wont be disappointed. Best Burger in town gets thrown around a lot, but these burgers live up to the hype. Other offerings are well prepared and worth a visit, too. Dont forget to buy a hat!
Superburger has earned their rightful place as one of the best burgers in town. Passed this place for decades though Id heard about them for a long time. Finally tried it (and im mostly vegetarian....wanted to try it before converting for good). The burgers are handmade, not frozen. The ingredients fresh. And the staff - fabulous - friendly, patient and courteous. Do it - you cant go wrong!
A local spot for the neighbors, and it shows with the crowds. They use real ground meat; not frozen patties. No name, or number calling to pick up your food. Youre paged. Prices were higher than most independent burger stands, and I attribute this to the use of real ground meat. The burger was filling. They use crinkled fries, which I dont care for. A seating area is outside for those who care to indulge immediately. Metered parking for a fee, or in the lot. I didnt see any bathrooms...Im assuming theyre behind the building. 4 stars for using real ground meat, since you dont see this too often.
Deliciously huge burgers! They dont wrap your burger in paper and just throw into a bag, each one of these suckers requires their own box. The cheese is always melted, the fries are always crisp. The true definition of a burger joint. If I must add, lunch time is the best time to go. Thats when the owner him self is flipping the burgers. I would suggest calling ahead as it is always packed. Ive tried the cheese burger with bacon, Ive tried with avocado, double, the teriyaki, the pastrami and they have never disappointed. Just know you will have leftovers.
Quite possibly the best unknown hamburger place in the Pasadena area. The food is great, large portions and made fresh to order. The family running it are all wonderful and work very hard to make you enjoy your time there. If you eat there, youll see the number of the people eating there are police and fire and Civic workers,. Everyone who appreciates a great value on their hamburgers. I especially would recommend the cheeseburgers since thats probably the best value there.
Juicy, simple, well priced, and very filling burgers. The cheese burger combo is under 9$ and it comes with a lot fries and a drink. Freshly made to order and enough burger and fries to leave you full until well past your next meal. Juicy patties, melted cheese, fresh ingredients; it is burger bliss. All things considered (taste, price, amount), theyre my favorite burgers in Pasadena.
Burger Was Good But I Wouldn’t Buy Onion Rings From Here. The Onion Inside Is All Ground Into A Paste Then Battered. 🤮Not Real Slices Of Onions. Asked The Older Lady That Took My Order If There Was A Restroom, She Barked Back, No Restroom! 😑. I Really Don’t Like Places That Don’t Have Restrooms Because I Like To Wash My Hands Before I Eat. ONE STAR FOR GOOD BURGER 🍔
My sons and I have been coming for years. Everyone who works there is super-nice and the food is excellent. After reading a couple reviews about the lady who works the counter and how rude she is I have to disagree. Ive always found her to be very nice (as they all are)
Fantastic! I was nearby and decided to visit in and out drive in. The line was too long so i looked around on map for drive in burgers. Found this place with good reviews nearby and went there. Burger was really good, and the portion was really big. I can say i felt the taste of real meat! Will put the pin on the map, so when i am near will come again.
Super Burger can only mean the greatest Burger place in my mind. There is absolutely no Burger/Sandwich/Teriyaki/Veggie restaurant like this in the state of California. So if you are familiar with the Pasadena area on Alta Dena Dr. Just north of the 210 freeway consider yourself very lucky. A must see place to eat. Get there and enjoy a excellent meal to say the least.
The burgers were good, but the service was TERRIBLE. The younger man who was taking orders made it seem like we were disrupting his day, no eye contact and rude in his limited and arrogant responses. I asked for a refill on my iced tea and was surprised that he wanted to charge me $.50. I mentioned my surprise because I’ve never been charged for ice tea at any other restaurant, ever. Let’s face it, it’s mostly water. I didn’t have the change in my hand and went back to my purse to get it. When I walked back up, he was angry that I would question him. I gave him the $.50, he took it then slammed my empty cup back down at me and slid the money back through the window. As we walked away, he was yelling at us. He’s a very angry guy, and definitely shouldn’t be working with customers. We’ll never go back.
This place was BOMB (really good) . I havent had a great burger like this since I moved to LA! Im going to definitely come back, ESPECIALLY since they have a physical veggie burger (veggie Pattie) . It was so yummy and fresh plus the fries were good as well. And did I mention they give you ALOT of food all under 7$. Come and you will enjoy 5 starts:)
I have always drove by but have never eaten until recently because a friend recommend. The burger looks and taste amazing . If you havent tried it yet then go all out and get a double bacon avocado super cheese burger ... something like that ! Youll thank me later . Ohh they are not shy about the servings of fries .
Save yourself potential e-coli or botulism by avoiding this place. Wife & I stopped here because wife loves burgers. We ordered two combination burger specials which each included a hamburger with lettuce, tomato, fries and a drink for $17.50 for two. Food was delivered to pick up counter after 10 minutes but meat was grossly undercooked. My wifes burger was very raw and not properly cooked. A customer picking up his order before me was complaining about his order not being correct but middle aged guy behind counter told the customer to get lost in a more colorful fashion. They refused to take our burgers back to be recooked. If you value your health I suggest anyone rethink stopping here. For the price, you can get a properly cooked meal elsewhere.
Stay away from anything but the burgers, stay away even from a greeting you wont be greeted back.Oh and by beef burrito they meant ground beef burrito, tho it dont say that on the menu, you can only find out by buying one at 9+ dollars a piece.Double cheeseburger combo will run you at over 15 dollars the combo, as they charge every single piece of that burger separately (one cheese slide, one dollar. Plus another cheese slide another dollar, plus the second patty 3 more dollars, plus, plus, plus these are Chinese people you get the drill)
The best burgers in town without question. Or the next town! Lettuce, tomato, thousand island, onion are their standard toppings. The meat is what does it, though. Thick and meaningful. Can meat be meaningful? The meat here is to me. The fries go great with the burger. Its a little less than $10 for a filling cheeseburger combo. Note: A double cheeseburger from here is too much food for any one person I know, but if you want to indulge.
All to frequently, mom and pop burger stands seem to let me down. Maybe because I expect to much. Every visit to one, I am expecting that hole in the wall burger joint to be that magical place where their burgers takes those high end chain burgers to the woodshed and spanks them. Then I visit Super Burger. Typical stand looking place, crappy parking, and sits next to what looks like a fugitive hideout. The seating isnt that comfortable and the fries and onion rings are probably of the Costco frozen variety. Even the people behind the counter are surly. What saves this place is a pretty awesome burger. Big, juicy, tasty. They keep it simple - cheese, lettuce, tomato and some sauce. Add on some pastrami or teriyaki if desired. After one bite I started planning my return trip. A must visit for any burger lover. It has restored my faith in the burger stand.Thank you Super Burger!
What a great burger, but seriously, this is a great burger. This is a no frills place. Outdoor seating only, no drive thru, only walk up service, order at the window, get a buzzer thingee, when the buzzer goes off, pick up your food. Okay, one frill, the buzzer thingee is cool. Did I mention the great burger? And they have cherry Coke.
Great burger, decent pastrami. Fries and Onion rings are less than meh. I like Mom a bunch, shes pretty great every time. The son is less meh than those onion rings tho.. I feel like when you say you dont want a condiment he goes out of his way to make sure they put extra-extra.
Well i like in INDIANA now but i used to live right down the street from here. I used to eat here almost every week. My favorite thing was the sausage bacon and egg breakfast BURRITOS. Best breakfast burritos ive had. Their burgers are great also. When i make a trip back to California i will definitely be stopping in for breakfast and lunch
I’ve never been treated so rudely at a restaurant in my life. I accidentally went to close to the counter and the guy taking the orders told me to step back which I did he then said what’s your problem? I kept shaking my head saying nothing and said three times I want to cheeseburger and he said that’ll be 10$ for you because you gave me attitude. I thought he was joking and waited for my change which never came so I asked him and he said yes $10 for you. Do you want your money back in to cancel and so of course I did! Is this legal for him to double the price because he thinks I had attitude which I didn’t. I was sad about something else which had nothing to do with him!
Ive lived in Pasadena for 40 years but I had never been to this place until last night 11/18/18. Im very picky on where I eat but I just wanted something new. I read a few reviews and they mostly said the food was good and the service sucks. Well, the food and the service sucks!!! This young Asian guy was soooooo rude. He snatched my debit card out of my hand, never said hello, didnt give me a receipt and refused to give me eye contact. I should have cancelled the order at this point but I was kinda hungry. When he was bagging my food up I asked him to close the lid and just snapped back the lids dont close, thats the way we do it here. Anyway, I get the food home and my wifes burger is so under cooked it almost made her throw up. I took it back and got my money back. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!
I love this place. The food is good. Burger patties are huge, so be careful when you order a double because you might not finish it. The burger isnt just big though, its really tasty. They have other options on their menu also like, carne asada plate, burrito, beef and chicken teriyaki, but Ive never tried those.
Saw all the Great reviews...so we went...pricy for what you get if you ask me.the cheese burger special was $7.99+tax...I didnt want the Costco frozen crinkle cut fries so asked the lady can I get onion rings in place of the fries, she said yes and charged $2 more! The few onion rings I paid extra$2 for were the generic Costco type frozen bagged...no onion in the ring, just chopped dry mush inside...didnt even taste like onion....and the burger was made thick, bigger than most mom n pop places, but mine was hard burnt on the top and bottom...you could feel the hard burnt parts as you chewed...and so in need of salt, pepper, and some seasoning...bland meat.So for me,next time I rather go to in N out...The owners at this place need to step up their game and use a better quality of products or lower the prices... Seriously!!!
I left my review on Yelp but I cannot stress enough about the bad service from this place. Ive gone there about 5 or 6 times since last year and I have to say 3 out of those times the younger Asian kid that takes orders is just a prick. His Mom or the older woman thats there usually rushes you to order but the kid is just another level of rude. He has no idea of what customer service is, would be out in the street if this was his daily bread. Every time and almost everyone that comes up gets some sort of snarky remark and rushes you to order. I am a very passive person but this guy puts my nerves on edge, makes me want to drag his ass out of that little shop and show him some manners. I do enjoy the food here, sometimes their burgers are kinda medium well and some people dont like that but the service and the attitude is just gonna be the end to this business... Yelp it and see the other horrible reviews people give this. (Oh and did I say they dont care about bad reviews)

2022-02-08Hands down best burger joint in the San Gabriel Valley. Thick juicy hamburger patties that are perfectly cooked. You pay half the price that you would for a fancy burger spot and honestly you get better food than you would at Pie and Burger or other Grill Em spots. Check it out, guarantee you wont be disappointed.

2022-03-22This is easily one of the best burger places in Pasadena. Its a hole in the wall but dont let that fool you. The Double Cheeseburger was big and is very juicy. The service is friendly and my order was ready in about 10 minutes. Small parking lot next to building with a few tables to eat outside.

2022-05-11Always a pleasure to eat here, have been a customer for years. Double cheeseburger combo has always been my favorite. Burgers are large, flavorful, and juicy. The fries are always fresh and plentiful. No skimping anywhere here. This business earns every dollar.

2021-11-13This is the real deal burger stand! I can only assume they make these patties because the meat is delicious and has the perfect seasoning! Patties are also large! So I would say go with the single if you usually get a double! Will definitely stop by again when Im in the area. Chili was also flavorful on my chili cheese fries! Too much for me though, but good for sharing!

2022-06-30I have lived up the street from this spot for 20 years and just tried it for the first time today. To sum up my experience, I created a yelp account just so I could give these guys the review they deserve. The food was immaculate, priced fair, and soooo filling. Move over Connells and Tops! Super Burger has taken the #1 spot for quality, convenience, and affordability.Plus the owners are awesome people.

2020-07-22The burgers are really nicely done. Pricing is great, til you add bacon, but it was totally worth adding. I wish they had better / more interesting drink options.

2018-05-15Stopped here to grab a burger. Prices were phenomenal and the flavor was unmatched. Outside seating only. It was a struggle finishing the cheeseburger combo but the flavor pushes you to complete it.

2018-03-14Do yourself a favor. And welcome your taste buds to a truly amazing patty. Hole in the wall. But so worth it. Visited here on our way to arizona. Truly epic beef. Generous helpings of crisscut fries, toppings, affordable and SUPER flavorful. It exceeded my expectations. Easily 1 of my top 5 burger joints. The 1000 island sauce was light not overpowering reminded me of fords hamburgers in sacramento. Had a hamburger and pastrami burger. These guys cooked it fresh to order. Get over here now
