Best grocery store around in all of this area. I live right next to an albertsons and Ralphs, yet I will always make the drive to come over to this stater bros. They always have everything in stock, and a great selection. Not to mention they have incredible cuts of meat in the meat dept. The bakery is also incredible. You cant go wrong with this stater bros!!!
Dont buy gift cards here. Theyre selling netspend cards which ARE NOT gift cards. Its impossible to get the money off them without giving them everything someone would need to steal your identity. Shop for gift cards somewhere else!!!!!!!
This is my go to local grocery. The meats are superior and the prices make me smile. Almost everything is in stock with great specials each week. Wednesday is optimal cause you can use 2 weeks of specials and coupons for even better savings!

I was impressed by this Stater Bros. The beer selection was better than the Ralphs and they had a good array of hot sauces. However, no Tiger Sauce or Cajun Sunshine in stock. Nonetheless, the place was big, spacious aisles, very clean, I didnt have to wait, and the cashier had a good personality.
I stopped in, going out of my way for a roasted chicken cause SB has the best meat. The chicken skins were white. Yuck. So I bought the 8 piece fried. While eating a piece there was a weird taste and now worried it was spoiled. Wont be returning to this store.
Not much in way of anything uniquely plant based. As with most stores, produce exist. Weak in organic arena. If youre vegan and looking to grab in the wee hours. The lastest natural store is open till 10p in the areas.
I know in the past Ive had problems at the store and I put it on my Yelp review but the store has improved they have a new woman manager and she seems to be doing a great job. Especially with this virus right now I like that they have more than one Checker early in the morning so I can get in and out since I am elderly and have underlying conditions Id like to shop and now I feel safe. I also noticed their employees constantly cleaning I could tell you Ive topped many stores and this store is very clean. Produce manager very friendly at the store Plus his produce always looks great. Theres also a young African-American young man that works the dairy Department where the cheeses are and sometimes he works in the meat department and seafood department he is also very nice very friendly very helpful the store has improved so much

I shopped on 2/21 and my cashier was Luke D. He was totally awesome. So organized! Usually cashiers will just let the food pile up at the end of the check stand, but Luke kept everything categorized and separated! Thank you for your fine detail :)
Mixed bag!! Meat dept is award winning. Mgt only OK. Had one issue with a store mgr that refused to sell me a sealed case of wine. She canceled the sale and made a worker go get 12 individual bottles. Like What the Hell! Clerk and worker were dumbfounded but did what they were told. Have had other issues with ads not clarifying exact product on sale.Had totally opposite experiences with Pavilions. Get a clue Stater Bros!!!
Good meat selection and alot of organic vegetabelianos
I stopped at Stater Brothers Market yesterday, to get a few things. It was not too crowded. They were still out of toilet paper, paper towels and napkins, but they had eggs, meat and milk. Most of the people shopping were very respectful. I got fresh vegetables and fruits, they had plenty of both. Their bakery department was working full time do they had lots of desserts, cakes and cookies and pastries. I got what I wanted and was on my way home in less than 30 minutes.
My review is of my visit this AM. This market is actually very good for a lot of things. And normally friendly checkout people. But not this morning. I checked out of the less than 15 items line. The attendant was not friendly, never said thank you. Although I went out of my way to say it to him. Then when I got home, I realized my items were just thrown in the bag. The Hummus had slid to one side of the bowl. I will still shop there, one person doesnt make a company. But I will stay away from that guys line.
Great center because of Peppinos Italian Restaurant. Id happily drive anywhere for their pizza.Orders are fast, fresh, and friendly (while caring for your health and well-being). Best Pizza consistently in OC for as long as I can remember.
Always great deals at this place. Staff is friendly and keeps the place clean. Always check out the clearance rack whenever you visit. Can occasionally find some hidden treasures, as in alcohol for 50% off. The deli/hot food area is really good, love their wings. They always have fresh sushi prepared daily.
Best place for meat butchered locally. Dont pass up Rib eye when its on sale. Atm and mini bank inside. Clean, well stocked. Direct access to the southbound toll road. Target just down the sidewalk as well

Very friendly stuff and the whole place feels like some home grocery store that you have been going to forever. Everyone is super nice. Store has everything you need. They even have fat free cheese where you cant find it in many stores.
Good place with pretty good prices. Checkout usually pretty quick and most of the time friendly employees. Tonight however not sure much. My wife was told to sign up for whats called digital deals which replaces the card for discounts so she did so and found out that something she had paid for she was double price for and that the digital discount wouldnt apply unless you bought two of them so she has now gone back in and she will return with a credit or a different item.
Love this store. Since the Covid19 hit, this Staters seems got back closer to normal regarding stocked shelves. Workers are very nice and you can take your own reusable bags inside as long as you bag your own groceries.
This visit was ok. I really prefer Ralphs but their rotisserie chicken and deli foods are more expensive. In addition, my bank is on the premises. The prices at States Bros are fair and the grocery quality is good. The customers in this store are sometimes rude but today it was a pleasant experience. My rotisserie chicken actually tasted good. It was fairly priced as well. Wal mart rotisserie chicken has better flavor and the price is cheaper. I compare prices because thats what shoppers do. Its our money. We must spend it well.
Halima gave me the best experience! I’m an instacart shopper and she was so considerate, she even wrote on the shopping bags so I could tell the 2 orders apart :) very friendly. It’s super refreshing to run into customer service like this!
The delivery service has improved a LOT and Ive had no problems with my new orders. They substitute items if theyve run out and customer service has been very responsive. The options have increased and the quality of their meats, breads, and seafood continues to be outstanding.

Store has gone downhill. Bread area was empty. Other shelves and areas looked like they touched since the weekend. Prices are high and not competitive. Meat department has a great selection and very helpful.
Two stars because it’s clean. Never have a pleasant experience here. The staff either doesn’t speak or are just ridiculously rude. I witness eye rolling from the cashiers every time I am here, to myself and other customers.. when confronting the manager it’s “sorry to hear that”.. you should be blessed to be employed.

Yes I have lived on Nob Hill my entire life and today was the first day I have ever shopped here. I am in love. The produce was sooooo much cheaper and fresher than Cala Foods. The poultry was amazing. I will walk the extra 4 blocks for the better food and better prices.
Great store, used to be Albertsons, a little old/dingy but decent prices. A lot of items in the store that arent groceries. Okay parking, but long checkout lines, and no self checkout.
They have great deals on meat, for people still into that sort of thing. They will grind meat into burger for you for free in the butcher shop. I do this with tri-tip or sirloin steak when its on sale and get ground beef cheaper than the pre made stuff.They will also add seasoning to steaks or roasts for free.
I know grocery store review? But I can only say one thing.. this is the only store I found that has tomahawk steaks! Goldmine!

My favorite store by far..however I have noticed the last few times the clerks who bag my items have been kind of rough with my groceries and stacked heaving items in top of my bread and eggs...very disappointed..please please re -train your people!!°
I purchased some cheese about 2-3 weeks ago and when I opened the package it was all molded. When I returned the cheese I was told they would not refund me my money because I didnt have a receipt. Who keeps their grocery receipts for weeks just in case the food bad. In the future I will be doing my shopping elsewhere.

One thing I hate in Vons and Ralphs is the card. If you forget it they add an additional 10 - 20% to your purchase price. I know they say they save you money if you bring the card, but that is bull. Even with the so-called discount card, the prices are still not as good as Staters.Stater Bros. delivers high quality at very good prices. They have no games like their competition, but if you follow the prices you will see that they are consistently lower.One caveat - Stay away from the fried chicken. You may end up with a batch from the previous evening. :)
This store is convenient in my running around, and the chain seems to be the current Lower prices champ. In addition, they are good about keeping a product I like in stock!

Im a Stated Brothers customer since 1987 and the Aliso Niguel store is by far the must friendliest, professional and knowledgeable store then any of the stores I have visited.

2022-04-21I came here at 10:00 am. I wanted to get some fresh fruit as the one they had on display was cut the day before. I had to go ask the store manager as the lady that works at this produce department was unwilling to cut it. I think her name was Devinil. After I came back her Napoleon ego just wouldn’t let go. Again, cutting fruit was a task unrealistic to accomplish. After she “ordered” her assistant to cut it she managed to follow me to the register and started to accuse me that I ordered more trays than I did. Hilarious! I would suggest to this store to retrain this employee as her behavior should be unacceptable.

2022-04-11I love this store; they are always well-stocked and generally have everything Im looking for. I absolutely LOVE their fresh cut fruit; it is delicious! The store is always clean, tidy and well put together. Most employees are quite friendly and will gladly help you find something.Only two issues: First of all, the last time I went in there, I went to the meat counter and asked for 2 lbs of ground beef. The guy behind the counter proceeded to stick his BARE HAND in the ground beef. No glove, no plastic wrapping they usually grab it with, no nothing. He didnt even wash his hands prior to. I flat out told him that I would not accept that and that I wanted fresh ground beef that his bare hands had not touched and that he needed to put a glove on. He gave me kind of a dirty look, but then went and put a glove on.Secondly, PLEASE teach your baggers how to bag properly! Raw meat should NEVER, EVER be placed in a bag with produce/fruit, but thats what they do every single time. I think theyre trained to simply put all of the cold stuff together, but they need to be taught about food safety and cross contamination. My husband and I own a business that teaches food safety and proper handling procedures to restaurant owners and managers, so I know what Im talking about. Because of this, I usually bag my own things when I shop here. Also, dont pack the bags so heavy. Id rather pay a bit more for more bags than have tons of stuff crammed into a bag so heavy that Im unable to lift it.

2022-01-30Worst grocery store ever. I went shopping with my wife and daughter and was accused of stealing after paying for my stuff at the register. I’ll bring a lawsuit against them I got it all on tape.

2022-05-08Always clean and well-stocked. The prices are good but what sets this store apart is the customer service. Plenty of checkout lanes available with short andreasonable waits. Friendly service and staff that you dont find everywhere.

2022-05-08Currently the cashiers are asking customers to donate money to a charity. I had to decline at least a couple times because the cashier kept asking again and doing that run-on talking. Very tacky. Were here to buy food and other necessities. This is not the time and place for the cashier to be a human pop-up ad.

2021-09-07Nice deli department at this location. The store was clean and well stocked. You might want to visit the fresh cut fruit/veggie department in the produce section, the items are clesned prepared and ready to go. The front line was well staffed and the team members were friendly.
