Spoors installed a mini split system in 2 rooms in my home in September. I mainly wanted it for cooling, but Im enjoying the heating feature now. Im very happy with the system. It showed me that they really care about people if theyre going through all that trouble to help with urgent needs as quickly as possible.John was our tech & he was excellent! He arrived on time, did the assessment & recommended replacement of a few parts. The technician who came to our home was professional, very courteous, and masked. He found a minor problem and fixed it quickly. Then, he tested our vents to make sure the heat was on and working properly. We have used Spoors before for HVAC maintenance and repair. They are terrific!

I contacted Spoors this morning for assistance with our AC unit that stopped functioning at one of our residential facilities. Though they had no technicians available today to assist, the staff member I spoke with offered several other companies to reach out to in our area in order to get our AC repaired promptly. Negotiating an installation with Garretts team was a pleasure. Spoors HVAC replied quickly to a estimate query and was the least expensive installation available. I was very impressed with the detail of the estimate and scheduled the installation.The sports team showed up on time on the schedule date and finished the job before 4:00 p.m.We were so very pleased with the professionalism and attention to detail that his team provided. Ive been using an electric heater since last winter because my wall heater was not working correctly, somewhat effective but very expensive. I finally contacted a local heat and air company to request service on the heater but they didnt offer that service. To their credit, they referred me to Spoors Heating and Air. I knew from my first contact with Chris in the office, that this was the company for me! They were courteous and professional from the very beginning. Their serviceman John spent at least 2 hours trying to get my wall heater to work. He recommended, and I agreed, that it needed to be replaced. The owner Jeff came to my house to give me a bid and an approximate time for installation. He initially planned for about 3 weeks out but decided he didnt want me to be without heat for Christmas. Who does that??? Spoors Heating and Air, thats who! Mack installed my heater today. Its beautiful (if a wall heater can be considered beautiful) and its warm! Very friendly office staff, had immediate openings after weekend to help me. Since it was the weekend, they kindly loaned us 2 great space heaters to get by until they came. My air just stopped working one day when it was during this heat wave here in Auburn, I called the office and spoke to a very sweet and courteous young lady and told her that I have COPD and Emphysema, I just can not take the heat, she said let me check the schedule because we are very busy now because of the triple digits, she called me back in about 30 minutes and said they would have a technician out Friday morning and this was Wednesday around 5 PM !!Spoors is a GREAT company !! HIGHEST RATINGS FOR THEIR QUICK ACTION .... Upon calling this business, I requested an immediate need for air conditioner repair at my family home following my elderly brothers recent heart surgery. The need for cooler indoor temps were crucial to his well-being. The office personnel responded by calling a regular customer who very willingly agreed to a later appt. and then diverted a nearby service person to our home.We can not be more thankful for the scheduler, the knowledgeable repairman who quickly determined and fixed the problem and of course the generous customer who relinquished her times spot.

Both my air conditioners broke within 4 days of each other. They are REALLY old units and my husband insists of repairing them instead of replacing. The tech can out and spent longer than he planned trying to get it to work. We needed up having to order parts for both. Tech comes back out and spent more time than he expected but he got one to work. Now we are into the difficult repair. I really like the staff at spoors. Nikki is fabulous and the tech is really good. He wont leave you without air without trying everything he can to get it working until the parts come in or what is needed for a more long term fix. I recommend this company they will get someone out to you quickly. They are reasonably priced as well.
Came same day for an air compressor pump that wouldnt turn off. Figured out the problem and made a great plan to fix it while staying within a good budget. Great company! I like the texting to let me know when they are coming too.

The technician had a big job on his hands. Process of elimination of why the 20 year old air conditioner was working correctly. He worked hard for 2 1/2 hours. Came to the conclusion it might be the pressure switch and they don’t have the right one in their stock so have to order it and will be here Monday. I highly recommend this business.

Kevin and Mac installed our Fujitsu wall mounted air conditioner. They did an excellent job on the install, were very friendly, explained how to use the AC and cleaned up all debris after the job. They have great customer service. The owner Jeff Spoor and his son, Garrett provided the estimate.
Garrett and the team at Spoor’s Heating & Air Conditioning are excellent. I had three HVAC companies come out to bid on a Fujitsu mini-split installation at my house in Sacramento. Although Spoor’s was initially not the lowest bidder (in fact they appeared to be slightly higher than the two others), their estimate was accurate and they were super professional and responsive. When Kevin & Robin arrived for the installation, they were friendly, polite and did a great job. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again in the future!

Spoors is EXCELLENT. A horrible (other a/c company) inspected our unit and said we needed a new compressor or a/c system, so we got a 2nd opinion. Spoors came out & fixed our a/c in 5 minutes and we did not need a new compressor or new system. We will never go to anyone else!! Jon, Senior Tech, was sent to us to solve a no cool. He patiently explained his steps and findings, as I looked on, to me. He went out of his way to get us cool , by picking up a part himself instead of us waiting for it to be ordered. Upon further investigation he willingly fixed a problem in the panel caused by another professional ‘s error that caused us the problem to begin with. I found him to be knowledgeable, skilled, and affable. I am also pleased with the friendly customer service, questions ,and advice, with the first phone call placed. My AC went out during the first heatwave this year. I was recommended this company by a friend and they didnt disappoint! When I called, Chris was extremely informative of possibilities and prices (I had never been in a position of having to repair an AC) even though theyve been booked due to many people experiencing AC problems, she gave me a decent appointment. That same day the company reached out to me again offering an appointment within a day. The tech was friendly, professional, and figured the problem out quick. It is pretty rare these days to find service providers that take pride in their work and do it as if it was done in their own home. My experience with Spoors was wonderful from beginning to end. Timely, high quality and friendly service. They installed a new furnace, duct work and a tankless water heater. I would highly recommend them with no concerns whatsoever.

In the current little cold snap, my house and family were left to space heaters when I tried to fix my own thermostat. The gal in the office, Nikki(?) was so accommodating! She actually asked another customer to move their appointment, to make sure we had heat (thanks other customer with heat). Jeff and Garrett oversaw a first rate job. The bid for a replacement furnace was competitive, including a couple of options and the job was completed in a timely manner. But hey, thats base-line, right? Turns out the attic entrance was too small to remove the old furnace. Jeffs crew cut it out a bit larger, while Jeff ran out to the hardware store to get some replacement molding for the hole. They did the job, cleaned up the cut-out, put new molding around the attic entrance, it looks better than it did before they showed up! Our new furnace works great, I cant recommend these guys enough.
AC malfunctioned over the weekend. Called Monday morning and a tech came out and diagnosed the problem. Needed a new fan motor. Part was ordered. Tuesday the part came in and it was installed that PM. Very responsive service. We really appreciated that.

I always appreciate when things are explained to me so that I can then tell my husband exactly what is going on with the system when he gets home. Jon Wiltshire - Spoors service tech; arrived on time and was very courteous, he explained what he thought the problem was that were experiencing with our AC unit. He also took the time to thouorghly check the unit and performed a diagnostic check. I would highly recommend Spoors Heating & Air Conditioning and Jon as well.

My AC unit stopped working during the last heat wave. Spoors was very responsive when I called and sent a tech out the very next day. The problem was repaired and my unit was back up and running within 30 minutes.
Tech was very informative, explaining what was done and what the issues could be.
Mike was prompt, honest, helpful...especially since our problem was a breaker switch WE inadvertently turned off prior to needing the AC for this early heat wave! Spoors tech, Jon Wiltshire, provided the most thorough Trane HVAC inspection and consulting/home owner education Ive experienced. Hired to install a new Honeywell WI-FI thermostat to update my system and assess performance/maintenance status, he walked me through the entire system, noting where efficiency could be improved and assess the long term investment profile for life expectancy of the system. It is important to know how environmental regulation and technical improvements can impact where money should be spent to preserve my original investment, and when to expect eventual replacement would be a better option. Really expert service representative for Spoors.

Our heater went out just before Christmas. Jon came out and diagnosed the problem and was back the very next day (Christmas Eve) with the part in hand. Everyone was very friendly and the turn around was amazing, especially during the holiday season. We will definitely call them back for any repairs in the future.

John arrived on time and quickly troubleshot the AC short cycle issue to a leak in the evaporator coil in my Rheem 3 ton package unit. It’s not an inexpensive fix, but at least the evap coil itself is under warranty.
Very responsive but also very expensive. Replaced a contactor and capacitor. About $40 in parts, half hours work and was charged $601.
Very quickly fixed our air conditioner. Part was under warranty. We did sign up for a regular maintenance program.
Very thorough and only did the necessary maintenance.
Jon Wiltshire came by today to fix my furnace. Even though the problem was intermittent, he as able to track down the root-cause and fix it. Now my furnace is working fine again. Great Job!
Our AC went out last night. I called Spoors for help and they made the effort to revise their schedule today to have Jon come out and diagnose the problem and fix it. 2022-06-02I called and they were able to not only get me on their schedule within 24hrs but they helped me try to trouble shoot it before they came. The service tech was on time, professional and knowledgeable. Turns out it was the fan motor that is broken and we ordered the part and he hooked up a portable AC unit until they could come install the part ordered. Would highly recommend. They are also reasonably priced!

2022-08-14They were so nice! Super clean, the price was good. They had to crawl under the house and you never heard one complaint. I highly recommend you call Spoor and get a quote. You will see after all the estimates they are the best. No pushy salespeople just good local family business. I heard his name from a guy. I looked them up. Everett and Robin were very professional and thorough with the installation and clean-up. Their subcontractors, the crane service and old system removal company, were quality folks too. 2022-04-28In a day where everyone it seems is trying to find a way to sell you more & tell you “prices have gone up & if you don’t act now, it goes up again this week”, the Spoors Team comes in & does a very detailed exam of all equipment. They explain everything & they’re not trying to sell sell sell. Great group to deal with, came in WAY less than 5 other competitors & not nearly as sleazy as the others. Everyone from Spoors that came out put boots on & carry gauges, all their competitors send a service guy to show up for 5 min to say “this whole system has to be replaced, I gotta send our project guy out here”, only to send someone who dresses like a salesman & up charges you on everything.
