Needed to have my stereo checked on. (I had the stereo put in a few years ago here). The guy tells me to bring it in a week later. I get there and the guy outside doesn’t say hello or can I help you or the girl just inside the door. Another guy comes out and asks what do I need. I tell him my stereo is not working and that I called a week earlier. It’s like everybody there is having a bad day and it’s only 10:00! So he goes and checks the fuses and say there’s some wiring issue. He needs to check it for a couple hours and he charges $100 an hour. I question that so he recommends someone but he charges $160 an hour. I call the guy and the number is disconnected. I end up finding Roman’s Auto electric. He did a house call and finds and fixes the problem in 20 minutes for $60.
The head unit went out on my wifes Prius and one of my coworkers recommended Kenny and Soundelux. Kenny and his team were great to work with, and were really happy with the result! We put in a new Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatible head unit, and added a back-up camera as well. Huge upgrade to the car as a result. Everything looks seamless, and the camera looks like it was original. Kenny even took the extra time to help position the new hands-free microphone so calls are even clearer than the factory mic. I would definitely recommend Soundelux if youre looking for work on your car!

I wanted to upgrade the sound system in my vehicle. I found this place on yelp with excellent reviews so i knew i had found the place. When i went in there, i was greeted by a very nice guy. The guy that was “knowledgeable” started asking questions about what i was looking for and my budget. He advised he had speakers staring at $300 going up to $600 to which i responded, “no im looking for something more economical “ in a very condescending manner he said, “ oh, you’re looking for a $1000 set up, yeah we dont do stuff like that here” i asked, “if i buy the speakers can you guys install?” To which he responded “no we don’t install anything we dont own” or something like that. In customer service i believe you give the customer options. You guide the customer, educate and inform. Anyway... i found car audio one. Adam was great! Super recommend that place. Thx
This shop rocks!!! Kenny and staff are the most knowledgeable. I have had stereo systems put in my cars for the last 21 years and have had my last three done by soundelux. I live in Utah and travel down with my new cars to have my work done by Kenny and crew. I was on a little bit of a budget this time and couldnt spend the monies that I normally have spent on my last cars with soundelux. Kenny made a suggestion to go with the audison bit ten d and some alpine speakers in my doors a couple amps and some 12 subs in a custom box. I was impressed stayed in budget and gave me sound studio sound on a shoe string budget. Thanks again soundelux I look forward to my morning commute everyday. I recommend 1000% soundelux to be the best shop in San Diego!!!!!

This has to be one of the most painless experiences I have ever had. The system in my car was just not working for me. My biggest fear was to walk into a shop and just have the person try to sell me everything I did not need. I just wanted something very simple that would play my music clearly, navigation and bluetooth. As soon as I walked in I was greated by Kenny and asked about what I was looking for. He really listened to my needs did not try to talk over me. He ended up letting me know about the options I had. I picked one and he installed it right away. So happy to be able to stream my music from my phone and to be able to find places without getting lost now. I get to places on time now. I will be going back for some tint on my windows. Ive used this business multiple times in the last few years and have always been treated with the utmost respect. The work Kenny does is first class, and would satisfy the most difficult customer. The people at SounDelux are masters at what they do and go out of their way to ensure each customer has the best experience possible. No matter what part of the county you live in itll be worth the drive to Chula Vista.
This place worked in a timely manner and seemed very knowledgeable about their work. They take pictures of whats going on while theyre working on it too if you ask them. Also, they brought to my attention that there were some issues with the previous work done by another shop. The other shop was low key trash anyway. Also they arent trying to sell you things you dont need like some shops, and help you make an informed decision.
Hands down an Awesome Establishment here at SounDelux!! At first I thought the estimate was a bit on the high end but Kenny gave me confidence it’ll get done right. The way they got the job done could have easily been priced higher. SounDelux is the BEST audio team I’ve experienced! Craftsmanship and Workmanship was done with absolute patience from the technicians. Note, that I did said “Technicians!” SounDelux is Highly recommended place to get it done! You won’t find anyone better if you’re looking to upgrade your stereo or sound system. I’m beyond satisfied and the quality of work was far above my expectations.The sound and the “base” is amazing, especially when driving my convertible on the freeway. All along the way, Kenny (the owner) and Billy (his assistant) took great care to make sure the installation looked as original and seamless as possible. 2022-07-13Kenny at Soundelux is the man! I wanted more bass without taking up trunk space and he custom built a box to fit in the spare tire well with slots for the tire compressor and a few tool kits i keep in there. as well as added sound dampening all over and upgraded all of the front speakers. Sounds amazing and you cant even see anything. Its exactly what i wanted.

2022-07-21Amazing job done by Kenny and his team.My situation. I have a Ford Mustang 2021 convertible with 9 premium speakers factory that comes with a Shaker amplifier. I took the Car to another Place Joes Stereo and their best technician messed up my car with the LC7i unit and with the Alpine AS-32F 4 Channel. When I played the music loud most of the time the Alpine goes into protection mode and on top of that, I heard pop up noises coming from the speakers when I played music and while driving. To make it quick, I decided to bring my car to SoundDelux place and hoping that my issues will go away. I was told by Kenny to install the amp Audison AP8.9 bit that is a DSP and is compatible with this type of car FORD Mustang. He fixed all the issues that were done by Joes Stereo place and now my car sounds extremely amazing. Honestly, I strongly recommend this place if you dont want people to mess up your car. My mistake was that I should come to this place 1st. I wasted close to 1000 dollars by going to other low quality places that they claimed their audio installation process is the best.

2021-06-30A huge thank you to Kenny for his help with my 2021 Wrangler. I was the victim of trusting another audio shop (CAL Audio) with installing a new sound system in my Jeep. It took the other shop 3 days just to ruin my system. It sounded far worse than factory. Kenny was able to identify all of the problems with the prior install. The main problems he was able to identify were that the other shop left me with mono sound, several speakers were wired backwards, an extra speaker was wired behind my glove box in place of an adapter, everything was going through a single channel instead of 4 channels, the wires used were cheap and aluminum, multiple speakers missing screws, etc. Kenny was great at explaining everything to me, he took plenty of photos and videos of the repairs and work he did, and it was done in the time he promised me. With car audio, I learned that you get what you pay for! If you want high quality work done, go see Kenny. He is the real deal!

2020-03-06Had a computer tuned box made for my 2 kicked L7’s. It made a world a difference compared to the original box it came with. Made it nice and flush in the back seat of my truck, looked very clean. This was back in 2008. I’ll be contacting them soon about another sound system setup. Highly recommend, Kenny was very professional and took his time to educate me on car audio systems.

2020-09-16Kenny thanked me for him my business. I say, Thank you for your friendship. He treated me so well even though my project was not some lavish customization (and Ive seen his work...you cant find anywhere cleaner and better on the exotics his team has worked on). His customizations look like it was supposed to be that way and yet, you stay unique because no one else will have it. My project was for a backup system complete with head unit and backup sensors. Everything looks factory, but to a discerning eye, it all looks too clean to to be mass produced. ALL the equipment is top of the line but it doesnt look braggish. You wont be able to tell where my cameras are and the wires are because Kenny and his team are absolute artisans!!!!!! Even the proximity alert beeps are heavy bass drops and they didnt even work on my speakers......YET!

2019-07-11I made an appointment with Kenny do put a sound processer in my truck. I dropped off my truck and picked it up several hours later. It takes a lot to impress me and they did. When I got there Kenny informed me that there was some unsafe wiring that night to be replaced. His prices are very fair for the attention to detail they use. Im having more work done next week to get my stereo sounding even better. I highly recommend Kenny and his guys at SounDelux.

2013-11-10Kenny was very helpful and easy to deal with when I came looking for a replacement for the radio/CD player on my 2006 Focus. He sold me a very good quality inexpensive unit and had it installed within 30 minutes. It looks like he has a shop that can do high quality custom installations including custom cabinetry. I would highly recommend him for anything from a replacement for factory equipment to high end custom installations.
