Good:-Hotel location was perfect. Right by the airport and easy to find.Bad:-Parking fee is $20/per night.-Only have access one door in whole hotel. So If the only parking spaces available are in the back, you would have to walk all the way around to the front to get into the hotel.-Front desk staff had very poor customer service. It was not something I wanted to run into after a long, late flight- especially with tired and exhausted kids.
I felt really unsafe to the point I had to book another hotel at 1am for my wife and I. We had an escort staying in the rooms next to us. She solicited me and we kept hearing guys come in and out and say illicit things. I called the “night auditor” but he was extremely rude. He was no help at all, it felt as if he was working with or protecting the escorts. It made me really uncomfortable so I didn’t feel safe giving him my booking information but told him I’d be more then happy to talk to the police as a witness. Which he wasn’t willing to call. I wouldn’t ever stay here again with the amount of nice hotels in the area. Stay at your own risk
I stayed here for 6 weeks while I was in town for training. From the first day I checked in, Tristian on the front desk was very nice and welcoming. By the second week he was calling me by name. The hotel itself was under construction but for my entire stay, I never once heard the construction from my room. Some of my rooms the air conditioning was on point and made it feel cold. Sometimes it didn’t but it wasn’t unbearable. They have a snack area with cold drinks. The gym was small but had everything you needed for a good workout. The pool was good and the jacuzzi was hot. I loved the showers! I wanted one in my own home! The beds were comfy and the pillows were actually sleepable. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re in the Orange County/irvine/John Wayne airport area!
Positive: Close to airport Negative: No restaurant, no in room dining and lots of renovation noise. You shouldn¿t have to pay full price for a hotel that¿s under construction. Overall not satisfied with this stay. Front desk staff also seemed inexperienced and slow.
I needed a place to rest for the night and the Sonesta was it! Chrissy had helped me check in and was absolutely lovely, after a long exhausting day she had made sure I was well situated (and even recommend me some of her favorite local restaurants that I had a chance to go to with meals that reminded me of home), my entire interaction with her from start to end was beyond superb.
The remodeling has begun to change from Wyndham to Sonesta. The rooms look great but the beds are feeling old. The lobby and restaurant are also being remodeled which affected my normal stay. For those of us that travel in regularly, this is an inconvenience, so think ahead.
Positive: Location was great Negative: There is not enough room on here to tell you how awful my experience was. Construction (which was not stated anywhere when I made the reservation), NO room cleaning (I was there close to a week), incompetent front desk staff, 2 days of water shut off.
Positive: I love this hotels location. The staff is the friendliest. We always stay here. Negative: This stay the room was not as clean as usual and was showing a little wear. Hair in the bathroom and the bed skirts were torn. Other than these things the Hotel is great.
Positive: Cleanliness Negative: We were not made aware of the construction in the building and had to move rooms due to the noise. My card was double charged. They refunded the amount but it¿s an inconvenience to be out almost $500 on the holidays and have to wait for my bank to refu
Positive: The hotel was being remodeled so some of it was new. The staff was very good. Negative: I do not know what it is, I might be allergic to the detergent, but the next day i woke up and had all kinds of red dots on body. They kind of itched. I did not see any kind of bugs so I do not think it was that, bit I did see a large stain on the matress
Positive: Very clean, beautiful hotel. Female desk staff were excellent! Negative: During Covid, using wall mounted dispensers in the shower is NOT good. Also, the windows could use cleaning outside--very streaky. Starbucks or Wolfgang Puck coffee in the room would be nice.
Positive: The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. Negative: Its a little cramped for 4 people. The directions that are on your website tell you youre there when your in the middle of the street. We had to around the block 3 times to figure out where the actual street we had to turn on to the entrance of hotel.
Had a great stay. Stayed here for two weeks and it was cheaper than most Airbnb’s in the area. They offer room service and have a bar inside the hotel that closes around 11. Didn’t really interact with concierge much. Parking is offered but it’s around $15-20 a day. I didn’t really notice to be honest. Beds are pretty comfortable and it’s in a central location. Everything that you need is pretty close. Many restaurants, bars, breweries, places to shop that are close by
Positive: The friendly customer service and cleanliness was top priority for this hotel. The hotel was quiet and the parking available was secure. I was able to use the business center while I waited for 3pm check in. Negative: The shower curtain in my room was ripped. The food selection was a little limited, but hopefully once they re-open all aspects of the dining service they will be able to offer more options.
Positive: Location. Right across street fromJohn Wayne Airport. With today¿s Uber & Lyft. I got right down to Huntington Beach Pier for a huge event for $25 each way. It was nice to stay in a nice hotel and still enjoy all the action this area affords. Negative: $20 p/day parking.
Reasonable price, clean and quiet place, great location, not too much traffic, great views from the room, easily the best parking accommodations for a building that tall. Staff doesnt interfere too much, get your room-cleaning scheduled upon request. Its been a comfortable stay so far
Positive: Clean room. Negative: Wifi. I was there for a business trip where I had to go work on presentations. I did not get any WIFI, I called the front desk and was told to restart my computer. I did that a couple of times. These nice hotels should at least have that.
Felt like a scam! Beware of calling! Was attempting to get a room for me and my wife for the night before we go to a wedding. They asked for my name email and home address. Told me a King Deluxe was available and there was a 250$ security deposit. Phone gets disconnected. Calls front desk instead of their “reservations” tells me my name is not in the system. There is no room available the security deposit is only $50 and there is no late check out. That quite literally none of the information “reservations” has given me is accurate nor do they have any of my information. So if you do not want your personal information sold on the black market do not give them any information if you’re not at their front desk.
Positive: Price was fair before other charges ( parking, etc) Negative: Very rude employee ( said he was the manager) at check in¿no place to park while checking in. Pool closed to covid ..still? Rooms clean , but old..( rings on furniture, etc) Cafe limited hours and very expensive . General Manager was nice
Hands down the best stay Ive had anywhere. 10/10 all day. Great customer service and amazing front desk staff. Hotel was beautiful and the views from the suites are phenomenal! Genevieve checked us in and was outstanding. All the staff we encountered were the best and most friendly. Very nice area as well. Wasnt worried at all about our vehicle. Worth the parking fee for peace of mind! Very close to SNA Airport too which was perfect. All around a great experience and will definitely be making this my go to stay when I visit almost monthly! Thank You Sonesta Irvine!
The manager Bill was very rude, disrespectful, & very unprofessional! I first got told they can accommodate my needs due to having surgery. I was told I can order thru Postmates & they can deliver to my room, then got told they don’t allow that! It was a back & forth battle all because I wanted to eat. On top of that stress I did not need! The pillows smelled nasty, there was lots of banging & someone trying to open my door at night for both nights I stayed here! I could not get a restful sleep. Then there was a loud on going noice next door as if there were a Helicopter next door. It was very loud! When I asked for fresh towels it’s took 3 hours for them to be delivered to my room! Over all this was such a terrible hotel experience!! I would not recommend it. Especially if your just getting out of surgery or trying to relax.
I am currently staying here at Sonesta Irvine- OC Airport & I have to say, this is by far my favorite hotel! The staff is great & has been very accommodating. I tend to be what some call a germaphobe or clean freak & this hotel has met my neurotic standards of clean. I never feel tubs are clean enough to bathe in at hotels but again the baths here are very nice & can relieve so much stress! Although, I wish the prices would be a little less since I have been here over a month, but everything else has been great. They have an indoor pool, a mini golf course ( leisure time) surprise, & a work center- which isnt a sad computer in the corner by a bunch of city pamphlets. I have requested to speak to someone regarding semi long- term stay, but havent received any info yet. Almost forgot to mention, this hotel is so safe, there is always security, its located in the middle of countless beautiful corporate buildings- so the view at night is exceptional! Its also really great as far as location & views because there is NOBODY loitering outside. It is located next to the airport, tons of food & shopping, & its just beautiful inside & out. Also, checkout can be late as 1pm, which many hotels get you out by 10 am! Ive never had a reason to complain about noise, Ive never seen seedy people standing around or even getting rooms here. The housekeeping team is so kind & caring, I definitely trust them to take care of my things & do a superb job. I cant say 1 thing bad about this hotel, only that this has become my temporary home while in a stressful court process. Thanks Sonesta & Sonesta Staff!Best Regards,Noelle Newtran
Solid for an airport hotel. A little off the beaten path from SNA in a very quiet business park type of area (google maps takes you past it, turn in on Morse St). Big and clean, not a ton of amenities, but the staff was friendly.Self Parking is $20, but it’s easy and close, while the gym is apparently closed. Pool deck looks good, and the rooms are comfortable but would be nice to have some USB plug support.Overall totally great for a 1 night stay before or after a flight but anything longer isn’t serviced well by lack of upper amenities or location off Von Karman.
Commuting airline pilot. Very modern, clean and upper end hotel at a great price. Free airport shuttle. Location is in the larger building business area near the airport, which is just a couple minute van ride. I didnt explore the area much as I arrived late and left early, but definitely a very safe area. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially at the price.
Great food at the restaurant/bar. The staff is amazing and so friendly. Check in was quick and the hotel does an excellent job keeping the place clean and disinfected during the day. You can see/smell housekeeping maintaining commonly touched areas like the elevators and hand rails. It really helped to calm my stay COVID free mentality during these unpredictable times! Definitely obtain a travel pass to take advantage of their discounts and points if you stay especially if your stay is extended. Because of my stay here I’ve stayed at several other Sonesta locations, since!
1. door lock to the room wasnt working well2. one bed has hair so we requested new sheets and blanket (since we couldnt trust the other bed)---we called three times in 1 hr intervals because no sheets were never brought up after they promised use they would be right up...we were so tired to go down the lobby, so whatever we just slept.3. room was disgusting. how can there be hair on the bed????--PANDEMIC season and this hotel plans out spreading more COVID in the entire town.4. no decent shampoo/conditioner
I dont appreciate the outrageous inaccuracies, straight out lies, & fraudulent stories with these reviews, that many people depend on planning their vacations/ get-aways, business trips, or just knowing what they are truly getting for their money. For all the references giving ratings for this hotel, I strongly suggest to randomly show up, dont announce your arrival, to get a reality check that is obviously desperately needed. This hotel IS NOT next to shopping, gas, stores, or food. There isnt any parking attendants ANYWHERE. The unmanaged parking lots are so small, making things worse with inconsiderate guests that dont know how to park, take up more than one space, or the poor lot design could be a less stressful experience, if only they had arrows, lighting, security, an attendant, etc.Upon entering, no greeting by the 2 employees that were too busy having a personal conversation & I had to wait until they finished. (I did have a reservation & not just walked in) The one girl did smile but her lack of hospitality, demeanor, & leaving out pertinent information that would have been helpful to know such as, no room service, only 2 restaurants which with the indoor pool at the hotel both closed by 8pm, would have been nice to know.By the way all the signs, statements, regarding masks, social distancing are NOT true. Your staff is either easily manipulated, scared, or doesnt care about stated rules of the hotel. There were 8 people in that lobby. When I checked in two women and 1 man violated everything, then there was myself & spouse, 2 lobby check in employees, & anemployee that actually came out of a door that said SECURITY. No one did or said a thing to them! Our room had bugs on ceiling, there was something gross spilled & written on the OUTSIDE of EVERY window view (like a milkshake or coffee)... and we were on the 12th floor! I read past reviews that stated they had full refrigerators, were stocked, supplied with cups, silverware, utensils, etc... NON EXISTENT! We had 2 coffee packages & 2 disposable cups, sugar, no cream.Mirrors, floors, desks, bathroom, floors, bed, tissue boxes, cords, etc had either hand prints everywhere, food, unknown debris, & dust so thick you wanted to vomit. Our remote control for the tv had a cover & a lable stating it was there for our protection, but the entire top was ripped off. The tv would constantly scramble, blurry, screech, or the control buttons just wouldnt work. I never found out about the internet... Everytime I called the front desk the employees only responses to every question asked was, sorry, I dont know, Im not sure, or, you have to come down in person...We did find a glitter pen at the base of the bed, that got red coloring with glitter all over when stepped on. Also I couldnt see them but could feel what felt like crumbs in the bed. I have no idea what it was. Our neighbors alarm went off constantly both days. The walls are paper thin. But the BEST was the ripped curtains in bathroom, dirty tub( I know it had to be dirty because the plug was broken, you could visibly see the filth, and the tub didnt drain. So being our anniversary this weekend, at the beach all day, after my wife showered and shaved it stayed in the tub all the way to the top for hours. It was late in the night I was using our own shampoo bottle pump to try to unplug the problem for an hour, my wife fell asleep... NOT THE ROMANTIC WEEKEND I PLANNED! I never got it unplugged because I hadnt access to the main drain... It was broken!!! The bath closed feature was stuck, so my sandy self spent the night alone on the floor (because we were told no house keeping for 3 days)...(but we were only staying 2!) So I was left watching a TV that worked episodically, and if I wanted to watch a movie I had to call the front desk! No thanks! What a NIGHTMARE! I was so embarrassed, sickened, & angry. The next day I didnt say a word & I couldnt have left any faster.
Positive: Close to freeway. Front desk was friendly as well as bartender that took care of all our food orders for 2 nights. Negative: Smell of weed everywhere. The elevators and rooms had to actually ask to switch a room. The rooms were not cleaned, there were socks under our bed and door knobs to bathroom did not work. The police were there one night because of a commotion.
Positive: Location Negative: I walked into my room smelling like Marijuana and cigarettes. I didnt want to complain because when I checked in I originally booked a king deluxe, but when checking in the front desk told me it was a double bed. Blasted the ac to get the stench out.
This place was amazing 👏the rooms are spacious the view wow. Genevieve was helpful at check in she was so nice and friendly told about the restaurant in the hotel indoor pool and even gives us a free upgrade. I recommend this hotel for when you need to stay in a comfortable clean and quiet place.
They apply hidden fees and charge you after the fact. The room are also not cleaned properly found stains on one of the beds and handprints and dust on other surfaces. The rooms are small and overpriced. They also have horrible customer service. Will never stay there again. There other better hotels worth staying in the area.
Aaaah! screamed the person whose room I had just walked into. The front desk assignmed me a room already being occupied by another guest. I returned to the front desk upset and explained the embarrassing incident they apologized and gave another room. After opening the door I walked in to a room that still had the bedsheets on the floor and luggage. I immediately confronted the front desk personnel and told them I would not be staying. This place obviously has no clue what they are doing. Just imagine someone walking into your room in the middle of the night with your family is outrageous but from my experience this is probably a common occurrence. DO NOT RECOMMEND. happened on May 18th at 5:10 PM
Nice hotel out the way from LA. Heres the scoop. The give you nothing complimentary. Eggs and a side in the morning is $20! Parking is $20.Its June 22, 2020 no masks mandate and they said the jacuzzi is closed along with the fitness center. It never mentioned that on the website.
Right off the bat I had an issue. As soon as I walked in and I tried to check in, I had trouble.I booked through Priceline, like I do with all my travel stays, so I paid online. Once I got there they needed a card to put on file to authorize for the deposits, no problem. I tried to give them my card through Apple Pay, which they didn’t accept, no problem. So I went to the reader and they refused to let me type my card information in instead of swiping it, EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS AN OPTION ON THE SCREEN to type it in because I didn’t have the physical copy to my card, I had it on my wallet in my iPhone, and they refused to let me use the card information even though it’s the card I’d booked the hotel with. Before I could even offer to give them another card the lady behind the counter said let me go ahead and cancel your reservation for you.Extremely rude.I said, uhhhm excuse me, I didn’t say I wanted to cancel my reservation, here is another card. The woman said “it has to be in your name”Like the card wouldn’t be or something, and I said “if you would take a second to look at it, it is?So she finally booked me. Being extremely dry and short with me the entire conversation. So I finally was done with checking in, and when I got upstairs to the fifth floor, my room keys wouldn’t work. I had to go downstairs and get new ones, go alll the way back up stairs and when I got into the room I was stuck with 2 beds slightly larger than twins, when I booked a kind sized bed. I again went down to the front desk and told another man that was behind the counter that I’d booked a king sized bed, and I had twins, and he told me that I hadn’t and my reservation was for 2 twins. I showed them my confirmation email on my phone which said king, that I PAID MORE FOR and they said it wasn’t available and i had been “upgrade” to the room i had and there was nothing they could do. I finally gave up and walked up stairs and started unpacking my bag. I pulled down the bed sheets to hop in when i was done and there were USED DIRTY MOUTH GUARDS IN THE SHEETS!!!!!!! I called down stairs and told them, the lady didnt believe me, came upstairs and rolled her eyes. LIKE I WAS THE ONE INCONVENIENCING HER, then booked me another room, with 2 twin beds, AGAIN and dint even apologize about putting me in a dirty room. I wish i could upload pictures because i took some in case they didnt believe me.We got moved into our new room, and went to the bathroom shortly after and the toilet didnt work. I was moved rooms, again. The woman was so short and rude to me, like i was the one causing the problem when i was just tired from my flight and wanted to rest because this processs had taken over an hour..... move To another double twin sized room. The ac barely worked but we stayed because we were over this moving bs. The water pressure in the bathroom was very weak, the bath tub leaked, I slipped getting out even though I’d put down the Mat because it puddled in the muddle of the bathroom somehow? The walls were extremely thin we could hear people in the room next to us having very loud sex multiple times throughout the day and night and nothing was done about the noise. The front desk got mixed up, and came banging on the door at 12 in the afternoon saying i was supposed to be checked out and i was going to be charged another night when i was scheduled to be checked out the following day.The front desk gave me a wake up call at 4am, 2 different days even though we didnt ask for them???Over all it was an extremely poor experience. Ive stayed at motel 6’s with better quality and hospitality than this place. The rooms weren’t cleaned welll, if you looked under the bed and under dressers, it was disgusting with trash, and dust. The people behind the desk were rude, every day it was something. I wont be returning and i dont suggest you waste your time or money. It looks like a nice hotel but really its cheapAlso, i was in town for a funeral. Just rude.
Extremely clean (the entire building/grounds/everything, inside and out is very clean/tidy, even the parking garage is free of trash/debris because, they clean it daily), professional and courteous staff and convenient location.Very comfortable beds and pillows. Quality furnishings, well appointed spaces without all the extra fluff. Great windows let in lots of light too. I really like this hotel. Value for money.
For the 3 nights my fiancé and I stayed here, it was quite pleasant. First off, they were able to accommodate a late booking. Though there is a parking fee of $20/night, they gave us a discount for the first night. The staff was courteous, professional, and nice. The room we got (king bed) was spacious and clean as well at the bathroom. The furniture was modern though there were minor signs of wear and tear on the door, closet, and bathroom tiles. I did have a problem with the AC as it was loud when it kicked on. Also, it bothered me that when I took a shower, the water didnt drain properly. It wasnt clogged, but the water wouldnt drain until the the shower was shut off. Other than that, I would probably use this place again in the future.
The front desk team was friendly enough but I was disappointed that they cancelled their room service and house cleaning services. The dog that was barking in the room next to me for 2 days was also a bit frustrating but my biggest complaint was their broken gate system when youre trying to leave. I watched guests in front of me and even myself struggle with the non operating gate system. Its a struggle getting out so give yourself some extra time if youre trying to be somewhere... Also, to be charged $20 per night for parking and have to struggle to leave is super annoying... Finally, my husband and I tried the indoor jacuzzi and it wasnt even hot. Overall it wasnt the best experience.
Very close to the John Wayne Airport… great property - great peopleI would definitely stay here again.. and for sure recommend this property to everyoneShuttle picked me up and took me back to the John Wayne airportI’d say 6/7 mins ride tops (so close )And a very special shout out to Blair one of the hotel mgmt crewTotal rock star.. saw her in the elevatorShe asked how my day was.. I proceeded to share just going back up to grab my phone for i needed to go on a road trip to get 2 AA batteries for my computer mouseShe asked what room I was in, and shared let here check with maintenance dept10 mins later knock knock.. it’s Blair with 2 batteriesTalk about going over and above the call of duty.. thanks again Blair (it’s so much appreciated)Definitely a must stay locationDarrylVancouver, BC Canada 🇨🇦
So upsetting. I always come here often and this last time was disappointing. The room was dirty, no remote, and no ice bucket. My daughter got bit by something staying there one night. Front desk couldn’t get a name but so rude. I’m a healthcare worker and she charged me full price of parking. So disappointing. Please have your clean up crew actually do their job and clean thoroughly.
The hotel staff has been great. Really helpful when I showed up at 9AM on a Sunday (check-in isnt till 3). They got a room ready for me early and pointed me to some good spots to kill a little time while I waited. Shuttle staff was great getting me to and from the meeting is I had in the area. Overall really good experience.
Way to expensive for the service and its not easily accessible either. U have to pay for parking even if its just for a few minutes. Laundry should be free like it is at their sister company candlewood suites, so for the amount they charge ill go to candlewood and make it worth the $$$ they charge to stay.
Room was really nice - had the corner suite. Very good room, great location just off 405 and adjacent to John Wayne. My check in was perfect my only complaint was the housekeeping staff was nowhere to be found at all on the days I expected service I got none. In fact I checked in and did not get service until my last day and the only reason I received a basic service was by request at the front desk (for towels or anything). Otherwise I feel the $20/day ($ discounted if in Rewards) to park is just exorbitant! There is a very decent restaurant on site and I think it’s a nice property overall
Bathrooms were clean and looked nice. The beds were comfortable. If you are expecting a fulfilling free breakfast, however, this hotel might not be for you. Overheard another guest complaining about the free breakfast consisting of some chips and cookies. Very close to airport but shuttle comes about every 30 mins. You can call them though to pick you up and deliver within about 3 miles.
Very nice clean rooms comfortable beds. The staff were very polite and helpful. Its very safe so if you are traveling alone I would strongly recommend staying at the Sonesta, which is conveniently located by the airport, beaches and disneyland... I will definitely be referring people to Sonesta in Irvine. Thank for a nice, comfortable, clean stay... Another plus they allow your pet friends for a small deposit...Check the Sonesta out if you are coming to Irvine:)
Positive: Big room Negative: Air conditioning wasn¿t working right, set it cooler but room was on hotter side, food particles in coffee maker, couch needed replacing- sunk down in middle and could feel hard springs when sat on, grout in bthrm floor pretty stained , clothes left b
Beautiful hotel, bar, and restaurant on site. Happy Hour from 3:00 until 6:00 pm. Note no food but $6 drinks. We had a corner room, really spacious. First time I ever saw a flat-screen TV mounted on the wall that was not in front of the bed, but a nice couch. The latest you could order breakfast to be delivered was 8:30 am. We passed on this option to sleep in a little longer. Wyndham always does a great job. We have been staying with them for many years now. Check them out, they are a class act.
Room and hotel are great! Those are 5 stars. I only give it 4 stars because the noise level is a bit odd. I could hear people cough next door and them draw their curtains oddly enough. Not really voices though. So it was weird for that, but staff was great, room was clean, we were very happy here and would totally stay there again. Autumn and john were front desk, and very nice and helpful!
Nice and clean, new resort with a heated indoor pool and jacuzzi. The rooms are quite large and the beds as well as the bedding is so comfortable that once your in it youll be asleep before your head hits the pillow! Quick check in wih the friendly staff and your at peace in aye matter of minutes.
Stayed a full week at this hotel. Check-in was very easy and staff friendly. Unfortunately the accounting department is either very incompetent or non existent. I was charged an amount on my credit card over and above the room rate. Trying to contact accounting I received a voicemail mailbox full so called the front desk and was kept on hold for 30 minutes. Still no response from them - would never stay here again even though the mattress was the most comfortable I have ever slept on.
Honest rating 3.5 starsNice hotels and friendly management and service. Only issues i had were the pet fees and parking. On the internet it says pets are allowed but nowhere does it say it charges a fee for them. The pet fee was a whopping nonrefundable 75$ for one dog (3/4s of the cost of my room!). The least they could do was make it partially refundable. On top of that parking was 25$ a day which again is shown nowhere on the internet, which is absolutely ridiculous as there is zero reason to charge guests for parking since they have more than enough parking avlaible, besides that parking shouldnt ever be charged at a hotel, its a give in, unless im at a fancy 5 star with valet parking i shouldnt have to pay for it. All in all my total stay was 200$ for everything,I was going to rate it 3 though i decided it would be inaccurate because the room was nice and the rate was decent (108$) with taxes and fees. As long as your not traveling with a pet this is a decent place to stay.
The front desk staff were wonderful. Every request and issue was dealt with professionally and promptly. The room was comfortable. There were some glitches with items being replenished and other housekeeping things - but nothing major. Parking spaces are very skimpy!! Proximity to the airport and highways made it an ideal location.
The check in was very simple and the staff was courteous. The room was clean and orderly. Since I typically need to iron clothes for business meetings I used the iron and ironing board. I found the iron worked as expected but leaked water a little. Also the ironing board cover appeared to be thin and well worn. The bed was comfortable and I was able to use the climate controls to easily make the room a comfortable temperature. I for a late check out and the front desk staff quickly accommodated me. Checkout was quick and the shuttle to the airport was a blessing.
My family and I stayed here for the first time and had not one thing to complain about. We chose this hotel based on proximity to the airport and staying over the weekend in a business park was a great idea. My son pretty much had the pool to himself and had no issues with noisy neighbors. Housekeeping did a great job every day and the A/C kept the room as desired. Plenty of options for food minutes away including our favorite In-N-out burger. Absolutely would stay here again.
Positive: Nothing. Negative: $20 for parking if you are a guest is ridiculous. As we were leaving they said to press assistance and they would buzz us through the parking gate, insinuating that the $20 fee was waived. It wasn¿t and charged to my card without my permission! Not hap
Not just a large ant infestation on this hotel, the staff also very rude, someone wake me up by Knocking on the door loudly, and he asked me to check the room and that’s their policy, I asked him to come later because my family still sleeping but he told me he will come back after 30 minutes, I asked him to give me some time and he refused and threat me that he will escalate the situation. And when I complained to the manager, he told me this is the hotels policy. In addition to the lack of hygiene every 3 days they clean the room.Very bad experience.
First time staying at the Wyndham Hotel! Staff was friendly at Checkin. They answered all my questions in regards to my stay and parking! The room was just like I expected! The bed was very comfy and soft. Housekeeping was very nice and did a great job throughout the week I was there! I really liked staying in the area as it was centrally located to the places We needed to go!
Good hotel with decent prices. Check in was nice and the key card elevator up to the top floor is nice. This was one of the first hotels Ive stayed at that I didnt hear in the other rooms. Only 2 downsides is Im not a fan of pay to park. The other one is theres no free continental breakfast. Beds were also small. Otherwise pleasant stay
Sonesta treated us like first class guests!! We were checked into our room by Genevieve. When we told her it was our 41st anniversary she was amazed! We walked into our room after dinner to find a fine bottle of champagne, box of chocolates and lemon pectins from pome frais, we were so surprised!!! This was all her doings!! We are greatly appreciative and plan on coming to Sonesta to rekindle our memories. Thank you so very much for making our anniversary so special!!
The staff was very friendly. Given my style and obvious lack of wealth I often find I am spoken to differently, especially at Marriott locations. But I felt complete sincerity and professionalism from each person I encountered from the man greeting and directing at the entryway to the front desk receptionists and the housekeepers. Great deal, beautiful room, and the 24 hour mini mart was a lifesaver when my almost three year old daughter wanted milk before bed. Many thanks for the wonderful experience!
We had a reunion here at the Wyndham. It was a nice venue but the hallway where we gathered was uncomfortably warm. We had over 130 people. Would have been more comfortable if the air Conditioner was set to a comfortable temperature. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was nice. The only complaint was the temperature. Once we were in the conference room all was well.
We LOVE the Wyndham! My mom and I were here for an extended period of time as I received medical treatment, and- oh my goodness- the staff became like family to us. Truly, everyone is so fun and accommodating and the rooms are spacious and clean and comfortable. We couldnt have asked for a better place to stay during a difficult time and we will miss it! SO highly recommended- and the food is fresh and healthy and delicious, too!
The stay was great and I definitely have no complaints. Modern Interiors and a large, spacious lobby for gatherings if youre there with groups of people. The room was clean and the shuttle to and from John Wayne Airport made things really easy. The breakfast is not free, but did have a fair assortment of offerings. If you have access to a vehicle, I would recommend going elsewhere (try panini cafe, which just a 5 minute drive away with superior offerings).
Room is okay, staff/location/view/service is good, but the room faucet was barely flowing water, and the temperature is not stable at all. No fan in bathroom, either... seriously?! Please be prepared: so much freaking NOISE interference coming from BOTH neighbor rooms and the other side rooms!! If you have a kid then stay away from this hotel, you never know when they would take a bunch of young people then completely screwed everything up!!! It happened to me, and I’m not coming back.
The office that I work for booked 4 rooms in advance for my coworkers and I. This was especially convenient for our office since a discount is applied when booking numerous rooms. When checking in, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I asked if the office card could be charged for the room (the card that originally made the reservation), they let me know that this could absolutely be done and that my personal card would simply be used for incidentals. This is typically a regularly allowed thing, I was just double checking. One of my coworkers arrived with her 2 young children and was told that they did not have a room booked for her but that they were able to make something work.Another coworker of mine, a young female, arrived at 11:30pm coming from Ohio. She was given a room key but when she entered into her room she found that there was a light on and someone already in the room, another young female. The woman screamed, my coworker apologized numerous times and went back to the front desk. When telling the front desk what had happened they let her know that there were numerous rooms booked for us by our office but that they were not sure who had checked into which rooms.Fortunately for both women that this happened to, we came to find out that we all worked for the same company. The hotel did not check in on the woman who’s room was entered in on.When checking out at 2am we were informed that checkout could not happen until 4am but that it was not a problem and they would process it for us. Since it was new staff I again just asked that our rooms be charged to the office card and not our personal cards. The woman told us that this is not allowed and that the cards on file for incidentals would be charged for the room. When telling her that I was told otherwise she then backtracked and told us that this would be fine.Side note: Rooms were very clean, comfortable and accommodating.Moral of the story, if it had not been two young understanding women that this incident occurred with, this was a perfect set up for a potentially horrible situation that could have resulted in numerous life changing events.
We came in late night on Saturday due to flight delays and never have I experienced such rude staff, it gave me a really bad first impression of the place. Booked two rooms with two beds, but the rooms werent even side by side. My friends who are a couple stayed in one of the rooms, the vents were so loud they ended leaving early morning to another hotel. Didnt see anything bad with the naked eye, but wasnt really looking. Indoor pool. Small exercise room. Fee for parking per night. More of a business hotel, not family friendly. One thing that was nice at this hotel was fresh infused iced water on the way out.
Overall, a very pleasant hotel to stay at. Lobby is welcoming and staff very attentive and assistive. The room is above standard; no problems, but also nothing too wow worthy. Bed is comfortable. Room has plenty of outlets. Recommend draping something over the over the rooms thermostat if you like a dark room. On a similar note, superb window shades; you wont be bothered by a rising sun.
One of the lower quality hotels that Ive visited. Though the decor and general areas are nice and give the impression of a high class building, the service and the room itself are definitely sub par. In terms of the room, the square footage is by far smaller than what one would expect when paying for $180+/night. A second thing to note is the rooms get stuffy, unfortunately, the room is designed with little to no air ventilation. With regards to service, the staff is wonderful, but the services available for room service were lacking in terms of variety. Im unsure if it was just the night I stayed and in which case I was tired and was a bit more judgemental or if its the location.
Everything was awesome. The room, the staff, the vibes. I called asking about the pool being heated and a very nice gentleman by the name of Joe assisted me and let me know that the pool heater is going to be changed soon, just in time for my next visit. Love this place!
Clean, customer oriented hotel with comfortable accommodations. I especially appreciated the free shuttle for the airport and within a three mile radius. This area was rather quiet in the evenings, nice for a walk outside and relaxing dinner in the hotel restaurant. You can hear the freeway, if course, but the hotel itself is quiet. A great there day stay for meetings nearby!
Don’t come here. They charged my card 3 different times and it’s been almost a month and still no refund. Our room was covered in bugs , they have not been any help with a refund they say “it says refunded on our end” but you provide bank statements and they still don’t refund. Don’t come here go across the street to the Hilton.
VERY Comfy bed, great place to stay. Staff was very accommodating. I really hate paying for parking though. The only other complaint is that people smoking weed in the rooms fills up the entire hallway, they should smoke in designated areas outside. I would still highly recommend this play to stay for a safe and comfortable sleep.
It was ok definitely not worth the price. The rooms have no fridges so i had to ask the front desk to put one in the room and it was incredibly tiny i ended up using my ice chest because it could hold more. Everything on tv you have to.pay like 30 bucks for which also was a negative
Call the hotel in advance for a late check-in and it was not an issue at all. They were very kind and helpful with seeing that we could have a late check-in.A couple issues did arrive upon checking though. We had reserved a room with two queen beds but they had none. They were going to give us a room with one king bed but we are not a couple. Inform them that this would not be acceptable and they could not figure out what to do. It took them about 20 minutes to figure it out. Finally they found a new world for us that accommodating our needs and pre-booking arrangement. The other small issue we had was one of the Travelers is disabled. The hotel has disabled parking at $18 a day. We address this issue and a manager immediately remove the charge. So although we had some issues with the hotel all issues were resolved before we stepped into our room with a kind staff.
Nice hotel, comfy beds, excellent service. The only negative was that the walls are so think you can hear everything going on next door. Otherwise, solid hotel near John Wayne Airport. If you’re looking to venture out they do have a shuttle that will take you within 3 miles.
Staying here to because of the location. The rooms are simple and elegant, no more than I need. The facilities are clean and the service has been prompt and very polite. All my room essentials were refilled as they depleted. The breakfast buffet they gave me vouchers for was limited but it has everything I need. Highly recommend.
I reserved a double bed by the time I got here only one king was available. Air conditioning was out for 2 days of my 3 day stay and there was a terrible odor in the elevator and hallway that me and other guests noticed. Loved the location but its the small things that count dont know about returning
Not my favorite... Stayed in a Hampton immediately before this hotel, and liked the Hampton better. Friendly service, comfy room, but nothing special. No fridge or microwave, expensive parking, chose a room with two beds, but the beds seemed like fulls instead of Queens.
Overall, a nice hotel with a friendly staff. Only negative is the lack of free parking for registered guests. Be aware that they will cut the daily parking down to $12 if you join the loyalty program, which only takes a minute. Unfortunately, it seems a lot of customers arent told that, and end-up getting gouged for what should have been free in the first place.
My wife and I enjoyed our stay here. The hotel was very nice, the room was very nice. We encountered no issues during our one night stay. By far the best in room wifi I have ever had at a hotel. Only reason it is not 5 stars is because the rooms dont come with a mini fridge and like more and more hotels, they charge additional for parking. All in all, its a great hotel, I would stay there again if in the area, or recommend to anyone in the area.
Overall a nice value in a good location. The rooms and common areas appear to have been recently renovated. Be aware of the $18 parking fee. Not a big deal considering that the room was reasonably priced. The Wifi is free and reasonably fast. I loved the free water bottles in the room. Would stay again.
Nice hotel and nice accommodations. No mini fridge or microwave in the room as I have seen at most other Wyndhams but it is still a nice place to stay with comfortable beds. The bar downstairs is a bit on the pricy side. Their happy hour prices are still more expensive than most bar regular prices.
Excellent Wyndham! The service is top notch, the rooms are clean and updated, and the on-site restaurant is good. Wifi connects automatically (no password necessary) and works well. Its nice to have a room service option, and its particularly nice that breakfast is served until 11 instead of 10, or worse still, 9:00! How many of us like to sleep in and take some time to ease into a weekend morning? This Wyndham allows you that. They also offer pay per v Highly recommended.
This hotel is just a short ride away from the Orange County airport. I have stayed numerous times and have always been comfortable. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. There are not many food options in the area aside from some sit-down restaurants, if your stay is longer than one night. There is an indoor pool and the gym is very small. Overall a nice play to spend the night before a flight.
I wish I could give a 5 star review, but sadly my experience hasn’t been amazing given the fact I’ve been billed 2 more additional time for $75 after I stayed. I called right away when I noticed the first time and the person I talked to on the phone wasn’t able to give me a reason why I was billed, I wasn’t that upset and I moved on with my day knowing I got my refund. Two days later I get charged AGAIN! This time I’m a bit more irritated, but hey I’m not going to yell at the innocent person on the phone that had nothing to do with it. I’m just glad they were able to again help refund my money, but of course they couldn’t have an explanation of why I got charged for the second time.. Wasn’t even given a sorry for their continuous mistakes. I’m not going to talk trash on this hotel and tell you why you shouldn’t stay here, I’m sure I’m just part of the 1% of guests who have a bad a experience. I just will find another hotel next time.
Its a nice enough hotel, with friendly staff. We stayed during one of the warmest weeks in August 18. Dining on site was expensive at the Copper Chef, an ok meal for two with drinks and 20% tip came to about $120. The reason for the less than satisfied rating is due to the for the A/C giving out during the night. The room averaged about 75° and it was set at 65°. Barring this issue I would rate this property 3 stars.
This hotel checked all the boxes without excelling at any one of them. The parking was $20 when many other hotels offer valet for a similar price. I found nothing about the stay to be particularly special but also no particular gripes. The price was a bit high compared to others and not quite matching the value I desired.
Great Airport hotel and business Location! The drivers especially, the van drivers especially The older Filipino Gentleman is one of the nice people I have ever encountered in my 18 years of traveling. The rooms are somewhat renovated and the bathrooms are well appointed! Front desk staff are friendly, helpful, and quick at getting a guest checked-in. Book this hotel in Irvine now!
Room and location were fine. Wifi was awful. Accounting charged two amounts that had nothing to do with the room that was already prepaid. One was charged at 2am. Wasted time at the front desk having them take it off. Pay careful attention to your credit card charges.
This hotel is fantastic! The front desk staff were very helpful and super friendly. It is right next to Orange County John Wayne Airport, but you never hear noise from the airplanes. Its close to Huntington Beach and Disneyland. It is conveniently located with easy access to the 405 & 55. This hotel is beautiful, comfortable and a perfect place to stay for either business or vacation.
The room I requested at booking was not taken into consideration, however upon arrival I made the same request for a quiet room and it was honored. My room was clean and crisp upon arrival. I did not interact much with the hotel staff. The hotel is located about 1.5 miles from Santa Ana airport and has a free shuttle if you choose to partake.
Went here to meet up with some friends for a birthday dinner. Took the waiter half an hour just to give us actual menus (literally half an hour). That set the tone for service the whole time. Even getting our parking validated took forever with these guys. Its like they never served actual dinner people before.I will say the food was great though. I had the beef sliders and they were amazing. Just dont expect your service to be fast.
I found them unnecessarily expensive without basic facilities. There is nothing bad with them as such, but if one considers other hotels in the vicinity like embassy suites or Marriott, they are much better and sometimes better priced too.Wyndham does not have basic facilities like a complementary breakfast or a provision to store luggage while away. So definitely not the first preference.
The hotel itself is very clean, has that upscale feel to it. We got an upgraded room which was absolutely worth it. Huge with an amazing view and a window the size of a wall. My complaints would be.. 1. Since when does a hotel charge for parking?? I have never had that experience. Most of the parking lot was empty so it didnt seem warranted. 2. The curtain in our room did not go all the way to the edge of the window. Which meant blinding light the moment the sun came up. 3. The AC was so loud that the wall and window shook when it turned on. I woke up more than once through the night because of it. 4. On two floors the vending machines were out of water. This meant we had to get water bottles through the hotel which were $5/piece. Overall the room was beautiful and very large, the staff friendly and professional, and everything was very clean and put together. I would stay again, but not for full price.
Wyndham Irvine hotel is a very nice hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Their staff is really friendly and customer service oriented. The only issue is the pool wasnt as warm as i feel it shouldve been. It was a little too cold for u to swim in my child was shivering when she was in there. So we couldnt spend as much time in the pool as we wanted to. Other than that the hotel wouldve been perfect.
Got a great weekend rate at this hotel. Room was clean and newly refurbished with a large flat screen TV. The staff was friendly and the food was very good. Had a great lunch there. This is a nice hotel tucked away in a professional office park. Parking is gated and less expensive than at local peer hotels. There was even dependable free WiFi.
This hotel seems like a rip off. Thank God I called before I stayed. Theres a $50 a day breakage fee, plus $20 a day parking PLUS $20 a day for breakfast. For someone planning to stay 8 nights, thats ridiculous! No thanks! Id actually like to have spending money to enjoy my trip.
The location was great (close to the airport and lots of restaurants) and the staff were very friendly and attentive. My only issue was the rooms temperature. When the AC was running it was really cold and dry. And when it was not running the room felt like a furnace. Other than that, Id very much recommend the Wyndham.
Literally, the worst hotel Ive ever stayed at. Had to come to California for work, had a late flight, and checked into this hotel around 11pm. I got my room key, went to my room, opened the door, and... there was another person already checked into the same room! I obviously startled her, and she started screaming in shock! I had to go back down to the front desk to get a new room... and I was told that my room was booked in a block with my company and they didnt know who was already checked into each room... This was the worst experience, because even after being told that, there was barely an apology and no call to check to make sure the girl who I just barged in on was ok. How rude and utterly uncaring. It gets better. Another one of my coworkers checked in after me with her family (2 children and her husband after driving 4+ hours to get to this hotel), and she was told that there was no room available to her!! There is no way this hotel booking/stay couldve been any worse. Seriously a joke in the hospitality industry. Dont stay here, there are plenty of other options in this area. Consider this a public service announcement.
The location was good. Close to the airport. But the room didnt have enough facilities attached with it. It was expensive and yet they didnt have free overnight parking, breakfast was paid as well. For a hotel like that, they didnt even have any EV charging stations. Hotels near by do have it. For the price and the reasons above, Im never going back there.
The hotel is in need of renovations. Specifically, the rooms. Also, there was something going on with the plumbing. My toilet had issues properly flushing. It took me a good 5 times of flushing my toilet before everything went through. Maybe that was my room smelled faintly of sewage. Lets just say, Im not eager to retrun.
Clean, friendly staff. I would not recommend for families with small children. No continental breakfast. They dont have a microwave or refrigerator in the rooms. Indoor swimming pool in California I repeat indoor swimming pool. And strict rules about noiseWe were there for softball and they asked that I sign a paper acknowledging the rulesQuiet time starts at 10pm and no bouncing of balls in the hallways. Softballs are not normally used to dribble. I would recommend this hotel for business travelers
Second time here and it was only slightly better than the first. This hotel was booked for me and my agent forgot I had blacklisted this property. The first time I stayed in had another guest enter my room on my second night. Later I found I was locked out of the room as my key card didnt work. When I spoke to the front desk I was accused of stealing a room and had security caller on me. I didnt get the benefit of a doubt and was escorted to my room to retrieve my travel itinerary. Once I proved I had paid for the second night I was allowed access to my room and my belongings. Never did I get an apology and the corporate communications channels proved to be a wate of time. This stay was a little better as I voiced my concerns upon check in. They upgraded me to a nicer room, but I was more concerned with being locked out of my room again. My first night was a sleepless mess because the couple in the room next to me where having a huge shouting fight that escalated into a boxing match. It went on for over an hour until security or someone else showed up to break it up. If it wasnt for that insane night my only concern this stay was the poor air conditioning.
Had dinner at the Copper Chef restaurant. It was enjoyable! I had a cucumber Collins (meh) and the braised short rib tacos (delicious!). My companion judged her cocktail and chicken pasta to be delicious as well. Its a little too open for you to forget that youre in a hotel lobby, but its nice enough. Wed come back.
The staff here are very helpful and efficient, the rooms and facilities are beautiful and very well kept. I also have allergies and this hotel was very accommodating to that especially since my allergies arent the normal ones(coconut and onions) I will most definitely stay here again.
Stayed here for 2 nights while attending a training. Part 1: the trainings The rooms were fine. Good sound insulation. Service staff was very accommodating, and are very speedy when fulfilling requests. The rooms are very cold, so bring a light coat or sweater. The food for breakfast and lunch is pretty standard. Eggs, bacon, potatoes, bagels and fruit. And for lunch its hotel chicken, salad, carbs and refreshments. Not amazing but not bad either. Part 2: the rooms My room was nice enough. They were good enough to let me check in early, which was much needed as I had a 6am flight. rooms were clean, although there were a couple random hairs and a small stain on the duvet cover. There is a shuttle that will take you anywhere within three miles, including the airport. There is also a full outdoor basketball court. Well kept with fencing. Close by are a few restaurants (I recommend Micks Karma Burger or El Torito Grill for happy hour). Other than that youre basically surrounded by businesses and skyscrapers. Overall not a bad place to stay if visiting for in town for work.
**BED BUGS **I booked one night stay 5/19-5/20 2019. Checked in at 1030pm rushed quickly to the jacuzzi 3rd floor. I was so disappointed that it was broken. The water temperature was same at the pool. Huge disappointment since its possibility the only indoor pool open until 11pm in south orange county. This was the main reason I decided to book here. Normally I would go to a Hilton or Ayres. I went upstairs room 1217. (High Floor) took a ver long bath. I spent over an hour in the restroom alone. Then flipped thru the channels for a bit. Now its about 2hrs since I checked in when I noticed the left night stand. There were brown, yellow, orange, and red markings stains. Nothings uniform as if it was a coffee spill. Along the side darker black brown color was visible. I didnt bother opening the cabinets and look inside. At 230pm after taking different videos I packed my belongings and checked out. I showed the video to the manager and all she said was I will wave the parking fee or offer another room I didnt want another room I wanted a full refund. She didnt want to go to the room and look at the night stand. Since I been there for several hours a refund was not going to happen. If this hotel true to has an infestation the next 3-4 weeks adult bugs will be very noticable. Bed bugs feed every 6 months...they keep hidden and the young ones you cant see with naked eye. Seemed like they recently had a feast. I encourage anyone who stayed room 1217 to pay close attention for these stains. These pests hide very well and it takes 7 weeks for them to grow to an adult. This is why people dont notice them. A single bite reaction to your skin may take up to 14days to start itching and see the bumps. Please be alert and informed. My mistake was not to inspect the room right away. The hotel would not issue a refund but complementary parking was only they could do for me. Obviously sending the message that they accept the room unsatitized and unsafe for me to continue with my stay.
Very disappointed with our stay.We come to this location because we like knowing that our vehicle is safe and parking lot is gated. Keep in mind that there is a 20.00 charge per night. But this time we were charged 20.00 per night and the GATE WAS LEFT OPEN ALL NIGHT!Upon bringing this to the attention of the hotel and asking why we are paying per night to park they said nothing, didnt even offer to refund parking or give an explanation. We will NO longer stay at this location.
Nice hotel, for a quick stay. Stayed there for a trip to disneyland and it was a nice stay. Rooms were big and nice, very modern feel and look. Only draw back is walls are kinda thin so hearing the drunk neighbors at night was a little annoying but I would definitely stay here again.
High class prices and not nearly as nice amenities. Parking is very expensive. There are no refrigerators in the rooms. Found gum stuck on a lamp. Our trash can in our room was cleaned out and then the trash was put into a bag with food in it by the room cleaners. It is still a nice place though.
I was disappointed. The first room we got was nasty. It looked like some spit a loogie (i hope that was a loogie) on the wall and no one cleaned it for days as it was dry. The second room was just cleaned, however, they didnt change the linen. The indoor pool was at the same low level. Rusted equipment, COLD murky water with hair floating around. The hot tub foamed up just as soon as the jets kicked in, way to much chemicals. They cant even wipe the elevator buttons.. Definitely not coming back. If i were you. Id stay away too.
This hotel is all right. Ive stayed here several times, and the rooms are clean. The restaurant is overpriced and not great so Id advise away from that. Additionally, parking is unreasonably high at $20/night. All in all a good place to stay, especially if youre coming in and out of John Wayne airport.
Hair on the sheets of one of the beds and the bathroom floor. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and sent someone to change the sheets. However, since my stay started with cleanliness issues, I am not looking forward to my four night stay here. Changed rooms and these sheets have blood on them! Photos are gross so I wont share them here. Will send to front desk (Alex and Saul).
There were dirty socks in the room when we arrived. They charge $20 per night on top of room for parking and then the key didn’t work which the desk lady said i demagnetized it by another card so we were backing up cars to park. The bed felt like it had a hole in the middle. The entire stay really was frustrating from check in on. Disappointed in Wyndham.
Courteous front desk staff, bellboy brought toothpaste when we forgot it. Clean rooms and bathroom as expected from a higher-than-average hotel. $12 parking, some covered some outdoors. TV checkout wasnt working, but otherwise a flawless experience in a nice and quiet location.
Not worth 3 stars! We will be avoiding this hotel in the future. Our stay was anything but enjoyable. We stayed 5 nights, December 27-Jan 1Pro: comfortable bedCons: 1- entrance to the property was confusing at first since you cannot enter from the street it is on, you have to drive through the business district its located at2- parking is $18 but $9 if you sign up for the rewards and can be a hassle coz of the gates3- we werent lucky enough to be offered any assistance with anything or friendly staff4- was given room 931 when we checked in. As soon as we got off the 9th floor, its was freezing. It was 40 something degrees at midnight and the door to the stairs were propped open because there was an odor.5- after coming back to find something to eat at 1 am, we enter a room that had a horrible foul odor. We called to let them know and switch rooms. The front desk said sorry, I will have someone bring up a key to another room and hung up. No offer if we needed help moving to another room or anything. A security officer brought up our new room key. As soon as he entered our room, he said what is that terrible smell?! He was nice enough to help us move our stuff after he realized we needed help especially since we had extra stuff with a toddler. He also arranged for a fridge to be delivered to our room. Too bad with all that went in u didnt asked for his names:( We were given room 1121 which both floor and room smell much better!6- poor services. The cleaning crew has a bad habit of leaving stuff back in our room. When the fridge was delivered, he left his dirty rag on top of the fridge. After our room was cleaned one day, the left a bottle of cleaning solution. Usually not a problem but with a toddler around, you dont want those things around. Housekeeping didnt clean our room very well. Hair is on the bathroom floor and such.7- towels are dirty and coming apart. We usually reuse the towels 2-3 times before requesting to have them switch it out but every time we were given new towels, there were one old one that the edges were coming apart and one that has a stain or something on it. Plus bath towels are place less than a foot from the toilet seat. Not very sanitary and not within reach from the shower.8- very noisy AC /heater unit that I had trouble sleeping. If youre a light sleeper, this is irritatingAfter reading all the reviews on here, we were looking forward and excited to our stay. Unfortunately we didnt have the same great services that everyone experienced. We were there for 5 days but not once were we greeted by any of the staff. There was nothing special about this hotel. Looks nice but not clean as it should be. Bring ear plugs and your own towels. I would say it is more of a 2.5 stars hotel.
Best hotel in Orange County! The staff has the nicest customer service and front desk people, I mean everyone from Bill the manager , Maleena at front desk to Big Joe the building engineer! Beds are comfy, rooms are clean and the basketball ball court is the best!!! I recommend if youre ever in the OC you stay at the Sonesta!!!

2022-04-24Had a wonderful time at this hotel! Great view from the window. Front desk was friendly. Great location close to beach and airport. Airport Shuttle was free and timely, and the driver was SO nice and friendly! They finished the lobby construction while I was visiting, and it looks wonderful. Still have construction going on restaurant and bar. One complaint: walls of the hotel are quite thin.

2022-03-12Bill and the staff are amazing people. They go above and beyond to ensure all the guest needs are met. Bill sent Champagne to room as a gift to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. The kind gesture was not necessary but it was very appreciated. The rooms are modern, spacious and clean. The gym and pool area are very well maintained and cleaned properly. I’m excited to see what else they are adding to the hotel with current construction, we will definitely return.

2022-06-19First off customer service is great! Chrissy was super sweet, helpful, and welcoming! This is our second time staying here and she recognized us right away! The rooms are clean, aesthetically pleasing, and comfy! We will definitely be back soon and check out their new renovated area on the lobby floor :)

2022-06-12Stayed here with family. I am understanding and do not mind the construction, we all need to make ends meet. NO HOUSEKEEPING for your entire stay. What?????Never have I been to a hotel that does not provide any housekeeping. When I came back in evening found my bathroom and room in a mess. When I called the front desk about the housekeeping, they said, “We don’t do that”. No one even clears the trash. This is definitely my first one. If you travel with family if 5 and a neat person then this is definitely sure to disappoint you.

2022-07-04Excellent customer! We decided to stay a second night at the same hotel because of the great staff. We were helped by Martha and Lucy, and both were very kind and accommodating. The rooms were also clean and comfortable.

2022-06-04Hotel staffs were very rude at check in. Parking gate did not work and hotel staffs did not inform us - hotel guests. We request room cleaning but did not receive. Hotel is under renovation and very inconvenient and loud. The wall is very thin- you can hear your next door neighbors snore. Please do not stay here. This is my first ever hotel review over the past 3 decades. Other sonesta hotel I stayed were much nicer and cheaper.

2022-04-06Not the best. Construction was a pain and not much value for $167 + $20 parking per night. We stayed as a group and we’re told construction was to be completed 3/31. It was far from complete and we had nowhere to sit around and chat.Room was not all that great for recently being upgraded - hair on bathroom door and a panel on the wall kept falling off.Front desk associates weren’t overly helpful or considerate. My first and likely last stay at a Sonesta.

2022-04-20Positive: Clean, easy to access ( drive/ parking to room), laundry, ice machine and microwave. Great faculty. Negative: Employees, only some were nice but mostly didn¿t say hi. Understand that labor less now

2022-01-09Positive: The staff was extremely pleasant and accommodating Negative: Unfortunately construction was happening so there was a lot of noise. I think There should be some warning for us customers that need/prefer quiet. It¿s not really fair 2 be broadsided once u get there especially when we can¿t cancel or change reser

2022-02-07This looks like a tall office building but it’s actually a nice hotel with reasonable pricing. $110+tax on a Sunday. The rooms are remodeled with nice linen. And they don’t charge you for parking! Most hotels will charge about $25 for that.
