Mary was extremely rude to me. She told me to wait for the customer next to me to finish paying before I got too close and then she tried to push me to pay quickly when the old lady in front of me was still packing her bags. I told Mary the old lady was not finished. She slammed the register handed me my change and walked off.
Today I go here to buy Heineken bia with a coupon but I don know I I have to buy something else minimum $25 so I can get discount for bia ,but a cashier name Mary she dont explain to me i have to buy $25 something before I can get discount she took away my bia and service next customer she means to me because im Asian people no good for service like that
I will give 00000 start,i bought 10 racks of baby back ribs spend almost $200.00 the ribs it was smell really bad,went there the next day to returned they give back only $75 in store credit they refuse to give the total amount i spend,the customer service totally very bad.

Prices are ok, sometimes you find good stuff on sale. Things sellout quickly if popular. Store is clean and staff are friendly and helpful. Lines can sometimes be long.
The management at this store are liars and cowards. I need to vent something that happen on christmas of 2018. I was working at a smart&final store in the sacramento area. I had to come back to alhambra because of a health crisis with my aging mother. Talked to management and was told needed people for the holiday rushes I talked to management both in sacramento and alhambra, was given the ok for the transfer. Double checked with management and hr, again given the okay for transfer. I called on christmas day to ask when my first day at the location. Was told by management they no longer need people and hung up. This event caused my mother to given up to the state and I became homeless. They did this to a marine corp veteran. You added to the homeless problem. YOU MADE A VETERAN HOMELESS FOR 3 YEARS.
Here is a good ratio of space of the store to how many shoppers are there at a time. I love how they have a variety of sizing of items from small to massive party size. I would recommend shopping here during the weekdays as this place may increase in crowd size
Walked in did some quick shopping. Well, when it came time to pay the line was wrapped around the West side of the store. All the way down the last isle by the ice cream. WOW! It took about 15 good minutes for them to open a third checker. Besides,, they over charged me for the two 2 litre Pepsis which were priced at 3 sodas for $4.89? They charged us the regular price which was $1.99 each. WTH were they thinking??? Im going back over there tonight to see if it was my fault.

Good prices here and there compared to Ralphs. Some items match or best Ralphs club card prices, most dont. Biggest price winner of the DiGiorno 2-pack pizza. Rotisserie chicken taste better here. Ralphs has an employee wiping clean the shopping cart handles, Smart & Final does not. Ralphs 8 Temple City has 8 open self checkout kiosks and usually 2 to 3 manned checkout lanes. S&F has around 4 open manned checkout lanes, and the backup went all the way to the back of the store due to COVID-19 safe distancing. I prefer Ralphs while wife prefers S&F.
Other than occasional outages if things I normally buy, this location is always clean and neat. Employees are very helpful.
The cashier(Maria) try to give me only 2 blts of canola oil, until I show her the picture. When I ask her why she give me only 2 she can’t answer.
This store has terrible customer service . Today I put my stuff back and left without purchasing anything because the lines were so long. They never have enough registers open and should have baggers to get things moving. This isnt the first time I left without a purchase.
Its 6 PM and you have to ask if there are other cashiers because there were only 2 @ the time and the lines are long. There wasnt even a express line for those with a couple of items. I couldnt find any decent beets in a can. I could hear two employees in the fruit/veggie section talking about their marital issues. I dont know what to make of this place. I liked it better before all the changes that were made to the store. In my opinion it needs to be visited and looked into.
This store is always clean and its easy to get help if you need it. Although the line can look long, it always goes very quickly. It is not crowded during the day.
It was very busy at 1 pm.Too many people.Every one wa masked, some with double masks, but I got my few items and got out ASAP.The cashier line was a bit long.I forgot one item, but the cashier sent a staff member to get it for me.I will go again.
I like the new renovations and upgrades that this Smart and Final has made. Its definitely become more of a one stop shop type of place in an area in need of a good grocery store. However, the changes in the store seem to have made many of the employees incompetent and left looking dumbfounded when trying to do their jobs. Overall a good store with long lines.
I love to shop here there a lot of stocks and good quality products. They has also a massive selections of fruits and veggies. You can go out at this place carry all your needs at great prices.
Store is clean and feels safe during Covid-19. Most of the time the items I have needed are stocked. Employees are friendly and very helpful.

This place gets busy. However, they keep the store neat and tidy. Prices are okay. The stuff on sale goes quickly.
Products I came in for were not available. Bulk nuts and candy dispensers were empty. Coke products were not stocked on shelves. Didnt want further disappointments, so I didnt ask for assistance from s&f staff who seemed to have their own agendas anyways and that wasnt stocking shelves and assisting customers.
Cashiers get into long conversations with customers regardless of the long lines, frustrating.I like the products.
The expanded concept is great for this location, however the space is too small for the extra concept.Selection is great, but shopping here cant be enjoyable, the aisles are too narrow, boxes everywhere, and too many customers getting jammed in their shopping carts.I love the product selection at smart and final stores, go about every week mostly to Figueroa St in DTLA, in a year probably spend around $5-6K. Alhambra location at least the day I went showed poor management (bulk items missing prices, no pens to write codes, boxes everywhere blocking freezers and aisles, four registers open with most people getting lots of items yet two were 10 items or less, either poorly trained or overworked or less than competent cashiers that took more than ordinary to check out customers (I switched lanes after the cashier got stuck for ten minutes with a customer, and then in my lane I got stuck as well (first the cashier overlooked the bar to separate orders and rang some of my stuff to the prior customer then see pens to write codes) although I had taken a photo is the PLU#).At the end I ended up getting charged bulk items with the wrong codes and included in my purchase a bag of bulk walnut pieces that the cashier or the employee she asked for codes must have collected from the floor, I didnt notice till I got home that I was added this in a bag tied up with a piece of chewed up blue gum.

The store is very nice, but the lettuce section was out of Romaine packaged lettuce in 5 packs always available at the montebello store and cashiers were not very friendly like your montebello store, shelves were out of items, should be better stocked.
This is a very nice store.The facility is clean and very efficiently lay out.The personnel is very helpful and efficient.The stock is extensive, with good quality products, and the prices at aggresibly competirive.In sumary, this is a great place to shop groceries.
I bought a couple of english cucumbers. They turned out to have a heavy amount of cucurbitacin in them. I became sick and threw up a lot. I went back to the store to let them know. I left a note for the manager. Two days later I came back and to see that the english cucumbers were still on the rack. I bought another one thinking, It may have been just the ones I bought earlier. After two small bites I started feeling the same thing again. I returned it and got my money back. I spoke to the manager. He claimed that they looked great and I was probably allergic to them. I have been eating cucumbers of all types for as long as I can remember. I invited him to take a small bite of the fruit which he refused. He knows that the fruit is bad and just doesnt want to lose product or something.

They have a good selection of stuff but the prices are not cheaper than ralphs or aldis. The prices are about the same as target or a little more but the quality is a little lower. Its good good for value packs items and sales

Lol I was out with friends and one wanted to thank someones act of kindness last weekend, when they were given a bottle of water during the days warm sun....This was my first time into Smart and Final since it was completely gutted and basically rebuilt from the inside out... I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. ITS TRULY A BEAUTIFUL MARKET, COMPARABLE TO A PAVILIONS OR A VONS....

The lines at this location is worst than the Alhambra Costco! Nevertheless, they would wait until there are ten people in line prior to opening a new line.I approached the manager about my concern when the cashier allowed a female purchase 35 items in a ten item or less lane. The female manager replied that it was the customers fault...not a good response!

2022-04-04We have shopping to Smart & Final Extra for years because of prices and quality of the produce and other items in theirs genetic version of name brand. We go to different Smart & Final Extra in different area when we shopping around.

2019-04-26Good prices for bulk item buys, weekly special makes it better value too. Meat prices are good, produce prices are sometimes more expensive, but they are fresh and well organized. Staffs are friendly and helpful, also saw them keeping the aisles clean. Lines can be long and on busy period only 2 are open.

2022-07-19Decent location away from the busiest parts of Alhambra. Store is on the smaller side of other Smart and Finals around the area, but still carries all the goods as the other locations. Isles are a bit tight, cant really get two carts to fit in an isle.Update: It gets worse during rush hour after 5 pm, and to make matter worst, they are always short staffed. Most times, there are only 2 checkout lanes open with more than 8-10 people waiting in line.

2022-01-09I went shopping at this location earlier since a friend mention you can save 15% off your bill if you download the app and clip the coupon. For some reason, the coupon didnt go through but the young man working at the register was able to assist me in resolving this issue. I really appreciate all his help as well as being so patient and understanding.There were a lot of good deals at the store and I was able to get everything that I needed.

2020-10-07My experience coming here was fine. The staff werent particularly friendly, but nothing out of the ordinary for a grocery store. However, the produce I bought from here was of incredibly low quality. The shelf life of strawberries in the fridge should be 1-2 weeks, but within a couple of days, the strawberries I bought from here became moldy (see picture). This leads me to believe that the strawberries were likely already close to going bad when I bought it. If youre looking for produce or anything fresh, Id look elsewhere.

2018-07-02A recently remodeled store, it has well organized floor plans shelves, they are also quick to open cashier stations to keep the checkout lines bearable.I just dropped by for a quick purchase, was able to get in and out in less than 4 minutes. I saw they added a larger section of bulk foods (see pic), interesting!

2021-12-16My family and I shop here often. The store offers all the variety of foods we look for for planning meals. Usually, we can find what we are shopping for, which is fine. Occasionally, it is difficult to pick up all we are looking for as it is a popular place to shop. The staff are friendly, and helpful.

2018-05-25Ever since they remodeled this store its a complete turn around! It feels a lot more spacious and they now have cold beer! I was very disappointed the first time I went and they only had warm beer. Only thing they need work on is getting more registers open to pay. You can also order stuff on instacart to get them delivered usually within two hours! That is awesome when you have company over and cant make a beer run!
