I called on the phone and Kyle helped me. We did everything over the phone which was extremely helpful! He was incredibly professional and extremely nice and funny. Made the whole buying process very easy! Shipped my car all the way to San Diego! For a really good deal! Highly recommend coming here!!
I came in to get 2 small dents fixed and Kyle worked his magic and got them fixed right away. Took about 20 minutes to get it all taken care of. Will definitely be coming back for all my services on my Lexus NX300h. I also purchased the car from Isaac he was one of the best sales men I have worked with in over 10 years. Keep up the good work.
My husband and I bought a beautiful new ES300h Lexus last year. The staff couldnt have made it easier. Recently, I went in to get a new iPhone connected to the car and was fortunate that one of the salesmen, SCOTT WITTY, was available to help me. He not only helped me connect my new iPhone, but spent over an hour patiently teaching me how to use all the features on my car that I had never known about. I am so thrilled with my new knowledge and am enjoying my wonderful car even more now. This car and SCOTT WITTY and Shottenkirk are truly awesome!
I bought my Mercedes Convertible here in 2021. The experience was great but the service department is something I want to boast about! They have a service where you buy a car from them and they will do airport transfer for you in the future. They arranged everything for me- Cameron in service department cleaned my car and also did the service check the Mercedes required. A few weeks go by and the car is leaking and I also needed an auxilary battery. I dropped it off, got a loaner and when I returned Cameron took the oil issue off the bill because he thought it could have been their fault. I was so sold I brought my second Mercedes in for service. I love trustworthy people in life. If you are looking for a trustworthy honest person visit Cameron!
This dealership is HORRIBLE!!!!! We came in to buy a used vehicle as a secondary while in town for the season. We chose a couple of cars based on the website. We found one that we enjoyed and started the negotiations on the vehicle. The used car manager Kyle came over and began to advised us that they would not seek the car for our desired amount and that we should find a car in our price range. Let me state that the price difference between our offer and their asking was $2k. As insulting as that was we left. The next day we get a call from our sales agent asking if we’re still interested in the car. We said but would only buy it for a amount. She called us back and said that is fair and doable. We then drove to the dealer an hour from our home and then the sales manager Sean came over and started to negotiate the price again as if we just walked in. We told him no we had a verbal agreement on the phone with our agent and he said let me see what I can do. The same used car manger Kyle then came over and said we are not seeking the car to you for that amount. We told him what our agent said on the phone and he said that’s not my problem! Again we left with no vehicle and a horrible experience once again from Lexus and the staff that works there.
Greatest experience I’ve had in years! The staff is very professional and approachable. Kyle really took the time to ensure I was satisfied with my purchase and even followed up with me a couple of days after. Will recommend to anyone interested in stopping by. Definitely worth checking out this team and their stock!
I seriously hate car shopping! I’ve dealt with dealerships that have rude, high pressure sales personnel, are dishonest, unprofessional, and make very sketchy car deals. Fortunately, Shottenkirk Desert Lexus is a GEM of a dealership! You won’t be disappointed! And Kyle Forga is the best! He’s courteous, knowledgeable, professional… and funny! Couldn’t ask for better! I highly recommend!!
Customer service is mediocre. I was interested in purchasing a Subaru crosstrek. This specific car was not on the website with no photos. Still decided to drive an hour plus to view.As soon as I arrived I noticed the car was extremely chipped/scuffed from the front/back bumper. The vehicle was not clean and had a lot of cosmetic issues. I was trying to negotiate a price but the salesman was unwilling to negotiate even added “automate” insurance to cover the paint warranty even though the car had a lot of damaged paint. I stated I did not want to determine my down payment until I agreed on an overall price. The salesperson was notably upset and became unprofessional after this was stated. I was only provided one offer and that was it. I requested for a lower price, but there was no middle ground met or even a second counter offer.The sales person was unwilling to acknowledge the issues with the car once we went to speak inside and even tried to state this is the best price I would find compared to others.After we decided not to move forward, the sales person crumbles the paper and gave negative remarks to another salesman.I would say save yourself the trip and avoid this dealership. Listen to the reviews!

I recently purchased a 2022 ES350 from Bob Minton. He was great to work with. The car was not yet on sight so we had to wait 4 weeks for its arrival. We were cordially greeted by Ted Pavlovich, a Sales Representative, who treated us with respect and patience. He spent hours explaining the pros and cons of avaaible vehicles and we had access to a variety of choices. We did not feel intense pressure, although there was never any doubt that a sale was the outcome of the visit. When we settled on a particular vehicle, Ted took time to explain the many features. The bewildering number of options (and the methods of access for each one) were patiently explained even though it was impossible to retain all the requisite information. However as previously stated Ted was extremely thorough and certainly gave the impression that there w as no rush for us to comprehend everything immediately. It was as pleasant a buying experience as we could possibly have had.
Our elderly neighbors put down a deposit on an RX350. They dont have a delivery date yet and they didnt sign any contract. They have come to the conclusion that they are not comfortable driving an SUV. Today they reached out to Shottenkirk Desert Lexus where this transaction took place and was told they were NOT entitled to a refund. These people are elderly, they have changed their minds about the particular vehicle. How is it legal for Shottenkirk Desert Lexus to keep a deposit on a car that already has a long waiting list for it? How do you sleep at night ripping off the elderly? Is a deposit on a car worth your reputation? How would Lexus the brand feel about this? Lexus is known for its customer service.... but you sure cant tell by this situation. SHAME ON YOU!
Richard Holster was superior. He was kind, polite, respectful and took his time with us. He didn’t rush the process and wasn’t pushy in any way. I would highly recommend Richard to close family and friends, You will have a most pleasant experience working with Richard. He gets the job done!
Wonderful experience with the Parts Department. I needed two parts for my 2013 GX 460 Premium. At an out of the area Lexus dealer, I was told those two parts dont exist. When I was in CV, I stopped by Shottenkirk Desert Lexus to see if the parts existed. I wanted a cupholder insert and a tonneau cover. Lee took his time to find the exact part. And both items existed! He ordered them for and I got them within a few days. I am overwhelmed with my great experience with Lee James and Shottenkirk Desert Lexus.

I went to this dealership yesterday with my checkbook, ready to purchase a specific car I found online. (2007 Mercedes SL 550 VIN# WDBSK71F57F127329). The online price was $21,498. When I arrived, the sticker price on the car was over $24,000, which included a $2500 paint and dent warranty. I asked the salesman about the discrepancy and he could not give me a straight answer. I told him I was very interested in the car but if I purchased, I would want to take it to the Mercedes dealership so I could have a pre-sale inspection and survey (which I would pay for). He told me yes we can do that, just fill out a form and we take your information and you can do it. He then turned me over to another salesperson (a new trainee) and we road tested the car. I asked to have the top to up and down (electric) and it did not work. 3 people tried, no luck.Then I go inside to see the sales manager (I was told I had to see him regarding the pre-sale inspection). This was his answer: No we do not allow that. This is a corporate dealership and we have qualified mechanics. We do a complete pre-sale inspection here. We could not ever allow one of our vehicles to go to another dealership for an inspection. I told him that I appreciate that, but they are Lexus mechanics who do not specialize in Mercedes. I also asked about the $2500 add-on fee and the discrepancy between the online price and the sticker price. He gave me a story about their needed markup and that is how they cover it, but that they could negotiate on that or waive it. I am a business man and have purchased many vehicles in my lifetime. The tactics used with me were completely unethical. Beware. If you are an employee or manager of the dealership reading this, please feel free to respond to my review. We went in today with our 2017 Lexus with the intention of trading it in for a 2022 Model. The entire team at Desert Lexus treated us with respect and honesty. Our Sales Agent, Marc Osorio, was fantastic. Managers Kyle Forga and Sean Marchese were of tremendous help. We left there with our new 2022 Lexus feeling treated extremely fairly during the purchasing process. Kudos to General Manager Joe Pestano for putting together a great group!
After discussing the price of a 2019 Lexus SC that we liked, Kyle and I agreed on a price including tax, title and doc fee. When calling Kyle to set up a time to sign all documents and wire the money Kyle informed me that we had to buy an extended warranty, or he would not sell us the car. Then he said he had to sell so many extended warranties a month or he would be fired. What a phony statement He out right lied to us; Buyers watch out!!!!

My Lexus purchase at Shottenkirk back in October of 2020 was amazing, and it couldnt have been better thanks to the major help and guidance from Maggie Kovaly. If you ever get a chance to meet Maggie, youll know how fortunate youll be knowing that the care and attention to your needs will be taken good care of. Maggie is not new to the car business, and it shows in her prowess dealing with all the steps throughout the buying process. I had bunch of questions related to the car that she went out in her effort to get a straight answer to ensure that my questions and issues were answered. Buying a new car can be a hectic experience, but Maggies effort and care makes it the fun experience youre looking for. Its been 4 months since I bought the car and my car has been a joy to own and drive without any surprising issues. In addition, Shottenkirk Lexus is a family business a bit different than other larger network Lexus such as Autonation in a way that Shottenkirk is willing to listen to your offer and work a deal with you. Thats what I like.....a dealer willing to work with you unlike other Lexus dealers that wont budge.
Zero help. I reached out through their website to purchase an RX450h they had in stock. Diego, the Internet Sales Manager, called me early the next morning. I told him I wanted the car and I would be in-town in a few days to pick it up. Easy sale. Unfortunately after I emailed him the info he requested, I never heard back. I followed up both with an email and text message. Nothing but crickets. Thanks for wasting my time.
I had an absolutely wonderful experience here! Especially having Kyle Forga help me out with buying a car. What a character! Had me in stitches and made the visit enjoyable and worth while, especially compared to past experiences I’ve had at dealership. I can’t thank him and y’all enough!
Sales staff Mason and Max were very kind during my daughter’s test drive of the Lexus IS350. Unfortunately the sales manager, profiled my daughter and told her that the car she loved was too much car for her. Instead she should “shop for a 25K vehicle.” My daughter put herself through college! She invested for her future. Recently she sold her car that she owned for 11 years. Now she has a solid career as an educator yet this sales manager wouldn’t strategize to work out a deal. Sadly, investing in the local economy didn’t workout so now my daughter is going to pursue her dream car out of town!
Terrible customer service! I am a previous customer of this dealership and i was looking at trading in for a new lexus. I called today and talked to the manager kyle and was treated with disrespect. I have been in sales my whole life and if my manager was talking to people like this i would be ASHAMED. But i guess because they are a lexus dealership, they are above everyone else. Ill be taking my business elsewhere and i hope the owner realizes what kind of people they have working for them. Also looking at the other reviews it seems the sales manager has a pretty bad REP with customer service and it definitely shows. Ill be taking my business to San Diego Lexus where they actually take care of customers.
We purchased a 2014 Corvette on January 26, 2022. I purchased a preowned Audi from this dealership i visited the dealership twice to see the car. the first time i went the car sales man kept my driver license, i live about an hour and half from dealership as i got home i realized they kept my license i called dealership and spoke to car sales man he promised he would mail my license to me he never did as he promised. i went back a second time to actually purchase the Audi i asked for my license and they said they didnt know nothing about my license and did nothing to fix problem. i purchased the Audi the salesman sold me what he said was a mandatory auto mate service for the Audi i told them i didnt need this automate service and i was not interested in it . i was forced to buy the service as i got home i was reading the contract on the auto mate and it read in small print that the auto mate service was optional i was lied to buy all the salesman at this dealership . and i was forced to pay 2400 dollars for a worthless service. it has been 6 months since i bought the Audi and i have not received my license plates yet. i few months after my purchase i was contacted by the dealership and was told that they had sent all my info to another joe martinez that was in there system so my plates and all my info was sent to someone else the person that called me then told me that i had to call the DMV and fix the problem myself cause they could not do anything about there screw up. this dealership is full of lairs and people that cant do there job correctly !!!!!!!! horrible dealership
Sales manager was very rude. Test drove a used car, which had been in the lot for so long the battery was dead. Since interested, went inside where the manager printed a quote higher than what was on the windshield of the car, plus dealership mark-ups. Sales manager had a very bad attitude, since no agreement, sales manager left the office. Sales person went to talk to sales manager, and after a while, he came back with a quote for the listed price, plus mark-ups, and said to take it or leave it. Never to come back to this dealership again!
I loved the service!!! Everyone here is wonderful!!! Tony Spiel Sales and Julian Finance are your guys!! I truly enjoyed that Tony was all expert Lexus. Usually when we buy a car it takes us about 2 years to figure all the bells and whistles but not here with Tony at Desert Lexus. Julian finance worked for us and trust me my hubby is a hustler he usually fights nail and tooth for our rates. Here at Desert Lexus our deal was just right and took maybe 15 minutes thanks to Julian. Special thanks to the “Boss” for making it happen!!! This was a marvelous experience!!!
I had a very good experience buying a used Tesla from Diego recently. Everyone at the dealership was also very friendly and wanting to give good service from the friendly receptionist to the sales manager Kyle. Also, I’m happy with my car. I definitely left the dealership with a big smile on my face.
I recently decided to trade in my large SUV for a more fuel efficient hybrid SUV. I called the dealership over Memorial Day Weekend to set up an appointment and my call was answered immediately by a very friendly staff member. When I arrived I test drove two different vehicles with Ashley. She was very knowledgeable and cheerful and made the entire process very easy. I drove home with a beautiful new SUV that fits my needs much better. I had planned to test drive a couple vehicles at another brand dealership that day too. But, when I called that dealership they never even answered the phone. So, needless to say, I never even went there. You cant get my business if you dont even answer the phone. I would give them negative stars if it were possible. I had been searching for a specific Subaru for quite some time. A perfect example was for sale at Shottenkirk. It had only one owner and less than 5K on the odometer. The only problem was I live two hours away. I worked with Kyle over the phone. He assured me the car had a clean car fax and no accidents. He gave me the impression that it had no damage whatsoever. I showed up to purchase the car and both Kyle the employee who finalizes the deal told me the same information about the car that they did over the phone. They took me for a drive in the vehicle. Everything seemed fine. I purchased the car and didnt even haggle since they informed me the price was a great deal for a car with no accidents. Upon arriving home I showed the car to my neighbor who is an ASE Master Collision Technician. He noticed the deck lid was damaged and needed major repairs. I contacted Kyle and needless to say he was uninterested in discussing the damage. He told me I could speak with another employee the next day - upon calling Kyle would not let me speak with him. My neighbor called the store manager Robert Knowles since I had asked for him to call me and he never did. He explained his credentials and what needed to be fixed on the car. Robert was very dismissive and rude. He even hung up on us and told us to sue him. I am a single older woman and thought that I was safe from abuse like this by buying from a Lexus Dealer. I guess I was wrong. I felt like I was dealing with some shady corner fly by night dealer. I dont recommend these guys and will tell you to beware especially of Kyle.
Hello People...We are Owners of a 2010 Lexus RX 350. Well we werep until last night.Now we are the Owners of a beautiful 2018 Lexus RX 350 with much more technology and a tow package.Our Salesman named Diego was extremely positive and professional and was so patient last night that my wife and I decided to upgrade instead of ordering a new Tow Package. Overall, every single Lexus person was instrumental in our decision making process.The finance manager, Aristotle was an honest no-nonsense gentleman who also exuded the same kind, professional and caring attitude.We love 💘our newer Lexus and we would recommend this Lexus Dealership above any other.By the way, they have other brands of luxury vehicles and each vehicle is in the best of condition and their new models.....well come see for yourself.We never spend time writing reviews, but this time, we felt that this organization deserved it.
I purchased a 2018 Lexus ES 300H yesterday afternoon. The entire buying experience was on point, from having the car available when promised all the way through sales, finance and final delivery. Kyle, Max, and Deanna were great to deal with. I wasnt planning on purchasing when I came in for the test drive but they made everything so easy. I wish all dealerships were this great to deal with.
Ive never purchased a used car before, but when I was in the market for a vehicle, friends urged me to check out a used Lexus, reminding me how reliable they were and how well they kept their value. I started by reviewing Shottenkirk Desert Lexus inventory online and was soon contacted by DIEGO. Compared to the new car dealers I had talked to, he was a breath of fresh air. There was no pressure, just a sincere desire to help me find the right car for me. I ended up driving several makes of cars, but the Lexus vehicles always seemed to be more car for the dollar. I also had financing issues as my credit took a few hits during the pandemic. At last, Diego found a great vehicle and his manager found financing I could afford. I just drove home in my new (used) Lexus...a used CTh hybrid with great mileage. The car is truly magnificent and the nicest auto Ive ever owned. With Shottenkirk youre not just buying a car, youre buying into an experience....free washes and detailing (with manicures while you wait!)...complimentary airport transportation...and exceptional service. I even enjoyed signing papers with the finance manager! So Thank You Diego for being kind, knowledgeable, patient, and persistent but not pushy. I have contacted this dealership on two separate occasions now, a month apart about the same vehicle. They were unwilling to work with me in making a deal. The first time I contacted them, the salesman said I HAD to give them a monthly payment that I wanted to be at and when I gave him a number, he stated that he was sure he could get me to that number. The sales manager was confrontational, made up information that wasn’t true about the deal and what I had wanted, was extremely unprofessional. He was willing to say anything to get me to drive the several hours to their dealership even though he knew he wasn’t going to get me where I said I wanted to be at for a price. Stated he couldn’t move the price of the vehicle. Then proceeded to hang up on me saying I was wasting his time. When I spoke to the finance person, he gave me a number that was never even talked about from the beginning. There’s a lack of communication and professionalism at this dealership. A month goes by and the vehicle is still there, now with a $1000 increase in the price. I contact them to see if they are willing to sell the car and negotiate, I get no response after I give my offer. From a luxury brand dealership, I think it’s fair to expect better service than was received
I purchased a 2021 Lexus RX450h in May, 2021 from Shottenkirk Desert Lexus and received excellent service! These hybrids, both new and used, are in high demand and currently in short supply, so I bought my car before it even arrived at Shottenkirk. After working for weeks with Diego, and Miro in the finance department, my vehicle arrived from Lexus. They were both very responsive and easy to work with. They detailed it and delivered it promptly over 525 miles away. Highly recommended!!

I was sold a vehicle from them that was involved in a accident that was never disclosed now they don’t want to help me get out of the vehicle or fix there mistake the manager Sergio told me it was not illegal for them to sell a vehicle with out disclosing that information

I am the happy owner of a new Lexus NX300. I want to thank Bob Minton who helped me get the numbers I needed to buy it. I went in on Thursday to test drive 2 models and the numbers for the this car with all the needed features was just over budget. Bob was very patient with me when I came back for another test drive of the perfect car. All the operating details were explained to me but too many things to remember! He even called the day after to see if I had any questions. There are so many things to learn on the car, I will be going back to have him review them later. The only negative was the car had a body protection add on that added to the bottom line I would not have included if I had the option. Deanna Cross in the Finance department made things easy to close the deal.
Kyle and Angel were awesome. I have had a lot of different cars in the past, This new IS 350 f sport is the best car I have had the pleasure to own. I came in to get two tpms sensors replaced which they said would take about 3 hours.I walked out with a mileage discrepancy of over 70,000 more miles than what my car actually had as the service advisor made a mistake (not naming him as mistakes do happen, and he wanted to help fix it), bad customer service from their receptionist Julia, and the service manager, Bohl, scratched paint from their complementary car wash, and replacing the sensors ended up taking 8 hours.I was also planning on selling my car after this service and the carfax showing 70,000 more miles than the car actually had made me look like a dishonest, untrustworthy seller and has made it almost impossible to sell the car. The service manager Bohl told me he would email me a letter confirming it was a mistake on the dealerships end and update the carfax, and neither of those have happened.I explained to them that it made it almost impossible to sell my car, and they didnt offer any refund or solution to the problem except the carfax hopefully updating soon. Julia also told me that Bohl had left his office before I called, but after I made it clear that I felt like this was a big problem, I got a call from him in his office five minutes later.As of right now, the carfax still reports 250,000 miles even though the true, untampered mileage is 178,000.This was my first time visiting this dealership and it was just extremely disappointing.

When I take my car in for service Juan always accommodates my schedule and is considerate of my time with a loaner ready for me. The team at Shottenkirk rocks!

Called in to ask questions about a vehicle sold here in the past, spoke to KYLE the SALES MANAGER and was extremely rude and aggresive, he wouldnt even let me talk. He basically rushed me off the phone, i called back and asked to speak to somebody else and realized he is the only one taking calls and he turned out to be the sales manager, second time around he yells at me and hangs up. What kind of person from a luxury dealer acts like this. What a joke of a person
Bought a use vehicle from Lexus there service is terrible would not recommend buying from here. Some of the compartments on the vehicle were broken and were super glued shut to make it look like nothing is wrong with them. We paid extra for 3 M film to protect the vehicle they had it for 3 weeks and called us to pick it up it started lifting up the next day. When I asked the salesman about the broken compartments he told me that they dont check or fix everything on used vehicles.
Robert L made this the best car-buying experience I have ever had. No pressure, knowledgeable, personable. Made the process simple and pleasant. I drove home with my leased Lexus that day. And the customer service could not have been better - from Robert to Joe (finance manager), to Josue who came to our home and programmed gate and garage access to the car, and Angela who went over every detail regarding features and functions of the vehicle. I like patronizing businesses where the employees like their jobs - and this definitely came through from everyone with whom we interacted. I definitely recommend Shottenkirk Desert Lexus and specifically, Robert, for a positive shopping experience.

My girlfriend purchased a used car from here and was told she would have free warranty for her car . We and I say we because I was there and I heard him and I asked him multiple times if it was free and he said yes . We are still waiting for their responses to get back at her but nothing as of yet . I don’t know when this new owner took over but the amenities for the customers are now non existent!There are no more greeters when you come for a service appointment! You have to go inside and look around for someone to help you! Everyone is already with customers! Very disorganized! The waiting area is nothing compared to what it was at the old location! You can tell this new owner is cutting corners but we’re paying more for the cars and getting less! I will be buying BMW from now on!
Please do not waste your time here! Came in with my family to buy a vehicle, was willing to pay sticker price and they told me they will not sell the car to me UNLESS I purchase a maintenance or warranty or else they will be losing too much $$ on the vehicle. My question is how is that my fault or problem?? They are unprofessional scam artists, who also apparently do not know how to price their own vehicles. The “manager” Sunny had the worst attitude I’ve ever seen for a dealership, I felt worse for the employee seeing how they were belittled by the manager in front of customers than I felt about the situation they put me through. I should have listened to the review on Yelp about this exact thing happening to another person. I’d give negative stars if I could. If I owned this company that manager would have been fired on the SPOT.
Sketchy.I was in Florida on the internet looking for a 2016 Mercedes wagon and located one for sale here. There were serious flaws with the car they did not disclose but which a pre-purchase inspection I paid to have done did expose. I brought this to the attention of the salesperson Diego (who was hustling me all along to buy the car), and asked him to have the issues addressed and then we could discuss the price of the car. I even gave them the copy of the inspection with all of the photos.Instead of getting back to me as promised Diego and the manager began ghosting me, not returning my calls or texts. Very rude and unprofessional. It is also indicative of a sketchy car dealership. I bet they have either dumped the car at an auction on an unsuspecting dealer or they have not addressed the issues and continue to have it up for sale for some sucker to buy.Avoid this dealership at all costs. Their business practices are unprofessional and likely worse than that.

If I could give this place a zero, I would. On 07/08/2020, I brought my vehicle to this Lexus Dealership for service, including tire rotation. I had no reason to believe that I would be charged for a service not rendered, in this case, tire rotation. Upon discovery of this lack of service, I immediately called my Service Consultant, Juan Diaz, and left him a message regarding my dissatisfaction of todays vehicle service. I then contacted Bryan, Service Manager, regarding this matter, and left him a phone message to return my call. I then contacted the General Manager, Robert K., with a Southern accent, and spoke with to him about my concerns. He stated he would look into this matter and would vall me back. He did not. He had the Service Manager call me instead. When I saw that I had a missed call from the dealership but no message was left, I called back and asked to speak with Robert, General Manager. Robert informed me that his service staff informed him that my tires were rotated and possibly I was incorrect with my findings. When I shared that I had documentation to support my findings, he said that he was not going to argue with me and that he would put the tires back as they were. I told him there was nothing to put back as they were never rotated. Robert, I hope you read this review. Not only did you insinuate that I was lying, your lack of concern and emphatic attitude towards me, a 12 year Lexus Customer, was unwarranted and humiliating. The easy fix to all of this was for you to have me bring in my car, no questions asked, no incinuations that I was lying. What is the point of asking to have my tires rotated, again? I hope your treatment towards me was due to the heat and not because this is who you truly are. You should not be a General Manager. You lack people skills. By the way, my Service Consultant, Juan Diaz, never called my back. Thanks Shottenkirk staff for a memorable experience.
Purchased a RX350 yesterday. Very happy with Navor and Craig Jones. I drove from LA to look at a car I found online. First of all, I had gone to 2 previous dealers that said a car I was interested in was available, only to discover the car was not available for sale when I arrived - not too happy with this tactic. I was driving from 2 hours away, so I wanted to make sure it would be available for sale by the time I arrived and I made clear I was not interested in any other car. In the end, everyone was patient with us, we purchased the car and since my wife doesnt like driving long distances alone or in the dark, they delivered the car for us that night (Navor drove our old car to LA and another person drove to LA to take him back)! There are a lot of car dealerships between my place and this dealership, but Im glad we made the drive there yesterday.
I needed to help my mom pick out a new car. I called and met Jeremiah. He invited me to come by with my mom. It was a bit hectic but Jeremiah made it all worthwhile. Great help in getting it done! Nabor was also a lot of help in getting the car synced up with the phone and the garage door opener. All in all a pleasant experience! Thanks to all.
I dont write reviews often. But when I do, its because I absolutely love the place! I honestly hate going to dealerships... Its a lengthy process and Im usually dragging my feet the entire time. However here at Desert Lexus the entire process was a breeze. Craig Jones helped us and hes made the transaction simple and fun–definitely not pushy! His patience and sense of humor (as well with Joeys!) made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. Excellent service. Would definitely come back.

I have to give the five star review due to James Simmons service consultant. He was able to take the time to work with me on this issue. Told him that I had an audio issue that was intermittent and they, the technicians were able to find out it was a bad amp. I was given a courtesy car and in and out of the dealership in 15 minutes. I am glad I purchased a Lexus and bought the Platinum Warranty coverage. I have only dealt with one other service consultant and felt like I was rushed out of there, James was professional and attentive to figuring out my issue, so if you go to Shottenkirk Lexus I would highly recommend seeing James Simmons!
Hi All -I bought a new 2020 RX 450H in cash (August 2020) and the dealership said they would throw in a free tire/rim protection plan since I didn’t haggle on price. I was really disappointed to learn it was only at their dealership when I got a flat tire in Carlsbad, CA. This was never disclosed to me as I was told this protection plan was Lexus nationwide.Total d#%k move by their sales/finance team.
I went in today to purchase a used car they had advertised on their website as well as Autotrader.com. The salesman, Tony told me the car had mechanical issues and they were not selling it. I left disappointed, but I understood. Less than 30 minutes later, I received an alert from Autotrader that the same car had a price increase of $4,000. I called Tony & he said that’s what it was going to cost to fix the issues. So, when Tony told me they weren’t selling it, he meant they weren’t selling it to ME at the advertised price. Dealerships have bad enough reputations...they don’t need to lie to customers.Update: Rather than try to find a way to make it right & address the customer service issue, Tony decided to slander my business with a fake Google review. Is this the type of professionalism you would expect from a “luxury” brand?

Here is my story I purchased a new Lexus in 2017and I shopped around for a good trade in value.Well is was very insulting Shottenkirk offered for a 2017 Lexus ES 350 with 12,000 miles on $22,500The dealership are only interested in high grosses.So I traded my vehicle in at another dealership,I had to go back to Shottenkirk Lexus to see someone in the finance department.The salesman who original sold me the vehicle came running over started insulting me, why didn’t you give me the chance to sell you a vehicle, he still rattled onthan what the “Hell are you doing here?”This is very unexceptable low Class I did not expectthis.I would never purchase a vehicle their even at their cost !So I reported this man to the Lexus of North America.After all I pay for the vehicle not the salesman.Thank you,
From the first look at a car that was on the website i was interested in to the last detail of signing the paper work the whole process was very refreshing. maggie the internet sales mgr was fantastic very helpful and always responded back to my questions i had on the car, and a very nice down to earth woman who we really enjoyed talking too once we met her , the 7 hour drive was well worth the trip and the experince thanks to magie and kyle the sales manager those two were able to make the deal that me and my wife wanted and the payment we could afford and made my wife very happy ,she now has the car she has always wanted with a over all excellent experince , i would invite any one looking for a car to visit this dealer ship and ask for maggie and kyle to help you find the right car , and the new dealership location is beautiful !!!..
Our LS460 was over heating on our trip back to Phoenix. We were able get to this dealership to have it investigated. The service rep was able get us in. They resolved the problem and performed a routine service as well within 3 hours. This was outstanding service! Lexus service is the best.
So my review is two fold. I absolutely love my 2020 rx350. Yesterday I brought my car in for a car wash. This is not free as some may think, it is part of an extensive extended warranty and service contract. Everyone is always very friendly. No issues there. I was very concerned with the lack of apparent COVID protective measures. The guys all had masks on. There was no hand sterilzer. No wipes, No instructions. Patron in the waiting area with no mask on who then was sneezing and then touching the chair handles and the exit door. There was no mention of the protective measures. No apparent use of any sterilizing solution when the valet took the car, nor when it was returned. This lack of care is dangerous to customer and staff. I did not contact the GM by email, but never heard back. Other service depts. have commercials on TV showcasing their procedures. This was a huge surprise and a cause of concern. IF you go there bring your own hand sterilizer solution, paper towels and lysol or wipes and go over all the handles, controls etc.So I had to return a few days later for a tire. Gm never called me. Then observed staff. Managers pull their masks down to talk to receptionist, service tech wearing mask under his chin.These folks do not take precautions nor do they understand the basics. Manager just walked thru lounge maskless to the bathroom.
Terrible customer service. If I could give them zero stars, I would. I have always been able to drop off my vehicle for an oil change and receive a courtesy car for the day. Today I went to drop off my ES 350 for maintenance and was told that is no longer their policy. I dont understand why when I filled out the online form for the service request there was a question asking if I would need a courtesy car if this is no longer their policy. Johnny Reyes was not helpful and told me that this has always been their policy. Thats funny because this is the first time I have been told this. If I wanted to be treated this way I would have saved $15,000 and bought a Toyota Camry. The reason I purchased a Lexus was for their outstanding customer service. With the new ownership, the customer service is gone. I will not be returning to this dealership again.
The new facility is a disappointment. The door from the service bays is in the customer waiting lounge and all of the noises and fumes pollute the area where customers are seated. It is open and loud. All conversations echo, as well as ringing phones and sales area volume is enhanced as well. I preferred the comfortable customer waiting area in the old facility. It was quiet, comfortable and separate from the service bays.
The search for my ideal vehicle was completed here. Yall must ask for Bob Minton. Bob handled my sale with class, respect and I left feeling valued and appreciated vs just another customer. I had less common accommodations being an out of state purchaser and my expectations were exceeded with this transaction thanks to Mr. Minton assisting all the details throughout my busy work day. He ensured every details involved in the transfer was thought through and organized for me. Thanks Bob for putting a huge smile of my face (Tippin my hat to you.) Ive bought 3 cars from Shottenkirk (actualy, 2 from Desert Lexus, its previous incarnation, and 1 from the newly named Shottenkirk). The buying experience has always been good. (Most recently withClay.)But when I returned my 2017 ES (lease was up), Joe Pestano, Sr., the general manager, promised - unequivocally, on the phone - to take care of a $300 charge by Lexus for a minor scrape on the bottom right front fender. (Mind you, the car was 5500 miles UNDER its allotment and in otherwise cherry condition.)Whether he was just getting them to write it off or whether Shottenkirk was paying it, I dont know, or care.But Ive bought 7 Lexuses and frankly, I would expect them to take care of something like this for a longtime customer.He never followed through. Three weeks went by. I called, I stopped by, I texted. He avoided me. I ended up having to pay Lexus financial to avoid it going to collection.I will never buy another car here, or another Lexus. Im SO disappointed in them.
BUYER BEWARE...I negotiated a deal on a car from the dealership and when it came time to sign paperwork they add aftermarket products that they require you to buy never previously disclosed. The charges were significant and obviously inflated. I ended up walking out on the deal and reporting them to DMV because it seemed fraudulent to me.
New to the area so this was the first time taking my vehicle in for service to Shottenkirk Desert Lexus. Their customer service is excellent and above standard. My service consultant Kenny Stiles was amazing! 🤩 I definitely recommend this dealership and will be back.
I cant say enough about Navor and Craig Jones. I searched a long time for a certain SUV found one at their dealership that I was interested in.. Problem was I live in LA 2 hours away and didnt know how I would get to Cathedral City to look at the car. I called on a Monday and spoke to Craig and said I could try to get down there on the weekend. A few days later they had lowered the price by over 1.000.00 and I knew that was my price range and all. Called talked to Navor, he did a video for me of the inside and outside of the car plus a face time. I then said I couldnt get there until Sunday and he said if you are interested Craig and I will drive it out to you which they DID!!! They were so nice and honest and Nabor was happy for me. They came to my work, I drove it around and they had a sale. They said that if I am ever in the PS area to stop in and say hello and they will give the car a free wash. So great! Thank you Navor for your honesty. I LOVE the car!!!

Just called for scheduling a recall service on the airbag for my LX 570 that has been overdue for 6 months due to parts shortages. Got through to operator after 5 rings and forwarded to service appointments. Phone rang 15 times then cut me off. Never had such a poor response from Lexus.
I must say, customer service and service in general has really picked back up! Initially the service dropped a bit but now its picked way up and I once again highly recommend this dealership. They have added some great features such as the free manicures and giving better training especially to their new employees. So I would say this is a great dealership now!
Best service dept out there. Rick Corbin is great. Hes always on top of things and keeps me posted through the whole service process. I always have a complimentary loaner car from Desert Lexus even when they are just doing an oil change. Rick is always trying to save me money where he can and never recommends any service or repair that doesnt need to be done. I love desert Lexus and their service department. I cant say enough about them.
Sad to see Craig Jones attack as I had nothing but friendly professional help over and above. Sadly I couldnt get what I wanted this time.. Definitely going back and getting it in the future. Finance and Craig were welcoming and very attentive even understanding when the deal fell apart. We own 7 lexus’ at the moment this dealership I found to be great. Craig was a doll!! ❤️❤️❤️😉
I have gotten my last 4 cars through Desert Lexus and each time our experience was seamless. The whole staff from the service department to the sales team are extremely accommodating and knowledgeable. I only take my car to get serviced there because I completely trust their team. I highly recommend buying or leasing from Desert Lexus.
Bought a used Lexus by phone which was represented by both Shottenkirk and by Carfax as having never been involved in an accident. The car was shipped cross country and it arrived with a non-orginal fender and a non-original decklid and lots of paintwork done. NONE of this was disclosed. The salesman was careful to Facetime several little issues with a door ding, skinned wheels, etc. but failed disclose major body work which was obvious to me as a laymen, and confirmed conclusively by a body shop. In contacting Shottenkirk the sales manager said, and I quote, We aint gonna take the car back and we aint gonna give ya any money back. Caveat emptor.
If I can can give this dealership zero stars I definitely would agree that this dealership should have zero stars I don’t appreciate the way I was treated with my partner the way others look that me wanting information on a vehicle by this Internet sales manager it was very unprofessional trying to look at two vehicles and trying to rush me It’s important to “provide customer service “ since I own a company with 100 employees I would never treat someone the way I was treated “ to you Craig jones ! He needs to go back into training.

Had a service issue and although they fixed it ( one wire that was probebly chewed by a rodent 368$ ) they scratched my tailgate in the process. I called them right away and they said they would get back to me but they didnt. I had to call them on four different occassions with the last call to the service manager which finally resulted in a call from the service rep. They would not own up to it and told me I had to take care of it myself. Not really a honest group of people and handle customer issues very poorly. I wont be back again.
I came here to look at some cars while on vacation. They greeted me right away and found us a sales person right away. Karl Demirel was fantastic. He showed us around and listened to everything we said and our needs. If you live in the area and are in the Market for a Lexus, come here and visit Karl he was the best!
We have a law mandating mask wearing at the city and state level. I visited this dealership to get my car a regular oil change. I was told to wait in the lobby. The person who was servicing my order was not masking her nose in a tight space. In the lobby, I observed multiple people, including customers, the manager, salesman, clerks, cash counter people, and servicepeople not wearing masks in tight or enclosed areas. Many only donned a mask when I was meeting them face to face. This a respitory pandemic. The germs float in the air and linger. i informed the manager, who did not secure the environment at all. I had to take a cab, fleeing home to wair, in order not to be in that dangerous and illegal environment. This was costly and inconvenient. No customer should feel endangered by a business. Desert Lexus should be ashamed and fined.
Our Service Consultant is Rick Corbin. He and the rest of the folks at Desert Lexus is always friendly, the service is beyond reproach; our salesman, as well as everyone we have dealt with, has been very attentive to our needs and has treated us fairly. We bought a Certified used Hs250h in November of 2011, then purchased a CT200h in August of 2012 from this dealership. We have bragged about Desert Lexus to anyone who brings up a car purchase, especially if theyve had a poor experience. We will continue to deal with Desert Lexus and when its time to purchase another vehicle it will be at Desert Lexus.
Had a appt for 15,000 mi service at Schottenkirk. Purchased our RX-350 in NorCal. However, we were to be in Rancho Mirage and decided to give Schottenkirk at try. In NorCal we were quoted $135.00-$150.00 for the 15,000 service. When we got to Schottenkirk the service advisor said the service would run us $435.00. We questioned why such a large difference....... the service advisor said they were the only Lexus dealer in the desert........so basically they charge what they can get away with. We cancelled our service and most likely will never return to Schottenkirk desert Lexus. However, in all fairness.......we love our 2018 RX-350 and will have it serviced when we return to NorCal.
The day before Thanksgiving, I gave them a call on my way to the Ontario Airport with my mom. I left a detailed message for the sales manager or internet manager. No one returned my call which was fine because based on past experience I expected their prices to be way too high. Meanwhile, I called Longo Lexus and Crown Lexus. Both dealerships texted or called me back promptly. Longo did everything electronically and I picked up the Lexus when we returned from our trip.
Spoke to my service advisor for 10k mile service, I explained recent navigation update eliminated Bing search. Service advisor said you should buy a ford they have better technology. $62,000 vehicle and service guy says buy a ford. Also tells me rotate my tires which are is impossible due to offset. 265 width back 235 up front. Why do I know more about my vehicle than than Desert Lexus.
Everyone here is always so welcoming, accommodating, and efficient... the waiting room is so clean and comfortable, I love hanging out in there while I wait for my car. Its really nice to go somewhere as low-stress as Desert Lexus is, I always leave feeling completely taken care of.
My company over the years has spent over $2 million with Lexus and have been very pleased with the product but in the history of Lexus theres not a worse dealership than shottenkirk Lexus, they have absolutely no idea what customer service is and I give their social skills about a zero I have spoke with corporate of Lexus of North America and theyre very aware of the problems at this dealership and all the complaints and the biggest problem is the general manager of the dealership, I have asked many people at the dealership for Mr shottenkirks email address or phone number and they will not give out any of that information hopefully one of these days I will get through to him and let him know the details whats going on at that dealership and the issues so he can rectify the problems dont make the biggest mistake of your life and go to this dealership have had many people hit me up and say thank you so much for giving this information out to the public
Bad experience I want there regarding car for sale for $9999 it was so bad condition and it’s a lot of work to fix after I talked with the sales person they say we will fix everything for that price yes a great after he talked with the manager and he come with the high statement with a totally different price he want to charge me over $16,000 because he want charge me the car repair I can’t believe that dealer doing that with the customers I waste my time for bad deal and stay away
On Monday July 24th I stopped at Desert Lexus just to take a look to see if any off their preowned vehicles would catch my eye. As my partner and I were walking to see what was on the lot...Enrique Cortes greeted us. He said hi and asked if we were looking for any certain vehicle. A 2012 Lexus IS 250 4 door in Cerulean caught my eye and the rest is history. Enrique was very knowledgeable...no pressure..,answered all my questions and this vehicle is now in my garage. This place is amazing they treat you like family great service, dropped of my car for oil change and several other works WITH planned schedule. I just called to speak to a service advisor about a recall on my vehicle, no one answered so I called back to speak to someone for info and the sales guy was so condescending, rude and had the worst attitude just by me asking a question. Worst customer service ever that’s why I drove 2 hours to buy my Lexus from another place since my first time stopping by to look at a car the sales guy was looking at me like I was a non worthy customer and check this out I’m a good looking tall Italian/Mexican guy I can imagine how they would treat another minority and y’all know what I’m talking about I mean it’s insane how that dealership is still running.
Very deceiving adds. They offer a car that seems like a good deal. Then they make you go. When you arrive they just sold it. They want to show you similar more expensive ones. OF COURSE! The next day, they have the deceving add again to lure more people. DECEIVING DEALER!

2022-06-14Over the last few days I’ve been in communication with Kyle, Sales Manager at Desert Lexus. We spoke several times on the phone and he was prompt to take my calls each time. Today he personally called to talked through the Lexus we have been shopping for and we aligned on pricing which we appreciated. THANK YOU, Kyle.To further our overall experience, we were offered a warm handoff to Richard who handled all of the little details that made a tremendous difference. For example, he called to confirm we were feeling good with the price, texted me photos of the car (inside/out), emailed me our formal quote. In the first hour we communicated via phone call, text message and email. Richard is a world class, 5-star communicator. When we arrived, Richard was waiting for us outside the building and offered us a beverage but more importantly a friendly smile and hand shake. He was patient with all my elementary level hybrid questions and he knew it all and taught us how to navigate our new ES300h.We were in and out of the dealer in 90 minutes or so, we were treated kindly and the Desert Lexus facility is plush, I’d like to come hang out even if I’m not buying another vehicle! Also, Ari in finance was solid, was a straight shooter and got our purchase completed in 20, maybe 30 minutes. 2022-03-05We had a really great experience with the Shottenkirk team. Julian and Richard were the best! Julian found us the exact Lexus car model and options that we were looking for. We flew in from out of state and he had a driver waiting to pick us up at the airport! Richard was very knowledgable and spent the time to help us install the Lexus app, personalize it, and make sure we understood all of the cars features and functions before driving back to Colorado. 2022-07-295 stars across the board for this dealership and their highly professional sales team. From the moment I spoke with Sean, I knew I was dealing with a straight shooter. He quickly got back to me with the information I asked about the SUV I was calling about. Then within 15 minutes he called me back with a prelim-quote for my trade in (subject to inspection). As I arrived at the dealership this afternoon, I was warmly greeted by Brandon, another salesperson who works with Sean. Brandon immediately introduced me to Kyle their used car manager, who began looking over my trade in vehicle. By the time I returned from the test drive on the new car I was looking at, Kyle had a number for me that they could give me for my trade in which was completely fair and acceptable to me. Personally, I have purchased over 30 vehicles in my life and this was by far the smoothest and most pleasurable experience yet. I cannot recommend these guys enough. 5 STARS across the board for Kyle, Brandon and Sean, along with everyone else I met today at Shottenkirk Desert Lexus.

2022-05-27Great car buying experience! Ted was amazing from the start and truly treated me like family. I was honestly just going to look and get an idea of pricing and left with a car with little to no pressure. Sean did his best to get me the pricing I was looking for. Ari was wonderful. When you have fun signing papers, that really says something. Great experience. I might also add, I think there should be snacks in your waiting area!

From my entrance to Desert Lexus in Cathedral City, David approached me and with all his professionalism he welcomed us to Lexus and started to show me a great variety of new Lexus vehicles. He offered me to test drive several vehicles making my experience very easy and smooth. He was extremely knowledgeable and I know for fact that he is well experienced in selling cars because he sold me a vehicle in a dealership near by. 2022-06-11I would take my pants off and sit on a grocery bag filled with broken glass before I step foot in this dealership again. RUN!Update: Highlighting another 1 star review from about a year ago that I found really interesting. You can find the original review as well, filter down to lowest reviews only.They did this elderly customer dirty.I would give them negative stars if it were possible. I had been searching for a specific Subaru for quite some time. A perfect example was for sale at Shottenkirk. It had only one owner and less than 5K on the odometer. The only problem was I live two hours away. I worked with Kyle over the phone. He assured me the car had a clean car fax and no accidents. He gave me the impression that it had no damage whatsoever. I showed up to purchase the car and both Kyle the employee who finalizes the deal told me the same information about the car that they did over the phone. They took me for a drive in the vehicle. Everything seemed fine. I purchased the car and didnt even haggle since they informed me the price was a great deal for a car with no accidents. Upon arriving home I showed the car to my neighbor who is an ASE Master Collision Technician. He noticed the deck lid was damaged and needed major repairs. I contacted Kyle and needless to say he was uninterested in discussing the damage. He told me I could speak with another employee the next day - upon calling Kyle would not let me speak with him. My neighbor called the store manager Robert Knowles since I had asked for him to call me and he never did. He explained his credentials and what needed to be fixed on the car. Robert was very dismissive and rude. He even hung up on us and told us to sue him. I am a single older woman and thought that I was safe from abuse like this by buying from a Lexus Dealer. I guess I was wrong. I felt like I was dealing with some shady corner fly by night dealer. I dont recommend these guys and will tell you to beware especially of Kyle.

2022-06-02As an out-of-state buyer I cannot say enough good things about Shottenkirk Lexus. Working completely online with Sales Mgr Sean Marchese, it was an easy, comfortable and honest transaction. We came to an agreement on the price, he recommended an auto transport company and we wrapped the deal up very quickly. The car arrived on my driveway and it as clean and ready to drive as he had told me. It even had a full tank of gas. If you are in search of a used or new Lexus my first call would be to Sean!
