Tried coming here for dinner, waited over an hour for our food. After sitting with empty drink cups for 15 minutes. Every table that was sat after us, got their food before us. Completely unacceptable in my opinion. No waitress/waiter even came over and checked on us either. We got up and walked out, and no one even questioned it. Definitely never going back.
The worst dining experience of my life! Waited 20 mins to be seated cause the staff was sitting around talking. 30 mins to get our drinks another 30 min wait to order then a hour waiting for our food. Once we got the food the food was wrong. Sent the food back then waited another 30 mins to get it the second time. However the fries we ordered had pieces of other food in them such as mushrooms and onions. The food was cold and looked like they took fries off of someone else old plate and gave them to us. None of the food was fresh what so ever. Then as we were drinking out of our cups we noticed dried food stuck on the inside and outside of the cups. Asked for new cups and we never received our drinks again the waitress just rolled her eyes and I guess we werent aloud to have different cups or something. Honestly there is only one decent waitress in the whole place. The waitresses are rude and disrespectful they have horrible customer service skills. While we were eating one of the blonde waitresses yelled at one of customers coming in. This place has gone downhill since covid-19 hit. The old staff was great and everything ran smoothly. I dont know who hired this new staff but this place will lose alot of loyal customers if they keep this staff. I know I will never be dining here again and neither will anyone from my family. If I could give no stars I would this used to be a 5 star place now its 1-0 star place. The owner and management should be ashamed.
Went and had lunch extremely disappointed,The salad had very poor presentation, chicken quesadilla tasted like fish, after waiting over an hour on food. The waitress was nice but was extremely disappointed with the food that came out considering how expensive everything was
What to say?.... I was a bit disappointed with the quality of the visit. Our waitress was okay, the food was okay.... we moved away and I looked forward to visiting so we could eat here again. The food had okay taste, but definitely not what it used to be. For the price you would expect more. Most likely not returning.
Went there for a late dinner. The other places we chose were closed. We thought a nice homey diner would be the ticket. We couldnt have been farther from that if wed tried. Our server never introduced herself and looked like she was a customer. She got our drinks and our order, however this was the last time it went normal.Usually when a restaurant is out of something theyll tell you upfront not in this case. Things we chose kept coming up 86d. After a while from when we got an order in we noticed that our food was in the window just sitting there with our server standing there, or taking other orders. Hot food is supposed to move 1st. I digress... then when my order came it was a rib eye. It was the size of a hockey puck and just as tough. My friends order had the wrong side dishes and my moms guacamole was black.Next we got our bills. That was a shock. My mom asked to have a plain cheese quesadilla instead of chicken. Quess what: the managers are not allowed to modify the prices? Chicken is easily a $3.00 upcharge. And to top it all off the Manager was too busy helping the cook to stop to talk to her customers? I understand staff shortages, I understand having only one cook. It wasnt that busy and she could have taken 2 minutes to help.We should have gone to Dennys or home. Wasnt worth the money.
Well the service was kinda bad i have to say. I went in to get a breakfast to go and they were so unorganized they couldnt decide who to take my order. After waiting for 15 minutes they had my side order for my pups ready but never had the rest of my order put in. So i had to wait longer for them to cook that. Wasnt like they were busy or anything it was almost 9 at night. Very disappointed in the service.
Like most chain restaurants that pride them selves on consistency across the map, Sharies is not different and everything but consistent. This is why I usually try to avoid ones i have never been to unless its the only thing available, and tonight the Sharis in Red Bluff got lucky. The service was quick and responsive, our waitress was friendly and fast, the restaurant was nice and clean. the bathrooms immaculate! The food was yummy and we were not being rushed at all. It was a pleasant experience that just added them to my I will go there again list.
Ordered thru the door dash app and pickup at the store got back to our hotel and my wife’s burger was missing avocado pickles and my burger was also missing Avocado usually wouldn’t care except had to pay extra for the avocado I would recommend going across the street to denny’s
Me and group 15 people came to Red Bluff Shari, where we waited 20-30 minutes to be seated for not enough people, so we grab another book.Wasn’t even busy. We waited our turn.We than ordered our shakes and food, waited extremely long time, and pitchers water placed on our tables with no cups. We asked for cups and we continue waited. We finally grabbed our own. Some of our items came out, still waited for pie shakes for some people with us, after almost 1 1/2 hours being there person who we went there for celebrate never got his pie shake.I asked our server nicely where at, she said oh I didn’t do it, like if no big deal, instead starting it, I asked her remove from my ticket she said no need I never wrote down. Wow. Remind you same thing happened to someone else in our group.Only 3 of us ordered food all others a desert. We patient people and way we treated was unbelievable. This also 2 time this happened.Truly hope customer service gets better, for slow night and servers standing around I would think and hope this was night they weren’t on there A game.Sadly they lost good bunch customers tonight.
My husband and I went to Shari’s Saturday evening. We were taken to our table but not one person stopped to take a drink order. They were not busy. As a matter of fact the gal that took us to the table was more interested in chatting with a waitress who must have been done for the night. We waited 15 minutes for any acknowledgement before we finally got up and walked out. Fast forward to today, we just went there about 7:15 p.m. we thought we’d give it a 2nd chance only to be disappointed again. The same gal from the 1st bad experience sat us again and told us someone would be right with us. Once again, they were not busy. No one greeted us and 2 more tables were sat after us who did get acknowledged by the waitresses, even getting their drink orders. We waited 10 minutes and got up and left. Very disappointing! We were looking forward to the pie and coffee. Sad to say we won’t be back here again and will make sure we let our friends know not to go there.
This morning while travelling we cringed at the thought of another food chain but Lacey and the cooks Melissa and Jon prove that they make or brake a restaurant. It was the best food ordered special with my allergies and crispy hashbrowns. Lacey faced my doubts with enthusiasm and she even remembered our pie on the end. Lacey and the cooks should train all Sheri chains because I would go to every one instead of cringe and hope for the best. Thank you three. You make life better.
We are truck driversand came to dine in for we had not eaten all day, the waitress inormed us that they had prime Rib with eggs as a special. The meat wasnt even cooked properly and was just covered with inedible white fat that was chewy and rubbery. The worst part is as soon as we left we instantly both had diarreah, stay away, they basically charged us 50 dollars to upset our stomachs. Will never be back, disgusting.
Ordered the 15oz sirloin steak for dinner with baked potatoes & green beans. Steak was very good, bit half the size of my fist, tiny. Portion size doesnt match the price your charged, but that seems to be the normal since covid. Diffinatly wont go back for dinner. We had a slice of pie too, lon and coconut cream, excellent.
This my first time eating at Sharis. I realize its a chain but this was first time ever at any location. The building is a bit older but everything was clean, orderly, and inviting. The food is old fashioned American comfort food. I chose one of the lighter side meals which are a smaller portion. This was a really good choice if you want food and dessert. Otherwise plan to pack leftovers. My plate was chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes with gravy over both and steamed broccoli. All of it was seasoned well and very satisfying. I added a cup of soup which was chicken noodle but think more like chicken and dumplings. You could taste sage in it and was like Thanksgiving in a cup. Pretty tasty! I had the lemon sour cream pie and it was stellar. It was served frozen. Im not sure if thats the norm but I loved it. I knocked them down a star for writing my ticket up wrong and needing to wait to have it fixed and then after I paid I could not get the barcode to work in the app for their rewards and I didnt want to wait again to have that fixed so I just skipped it. Solid choice overall for a meal or just dessert and coffee.
I have come to really like Sharis. The customer service is so much better from six years ago when I first started going. Yesterday, was my birthday and I bought an October special $9.99 pie (all pies), Cheese Pie with Marionberry Topping. I love this one. Sooooo good.
Weve usually had good experiences with this place, but like a lot of the other restaurants in town well have to stop going there because they have a meat burger when we asked for meat alternative. In house, wed just return the burger and get one thats made correctly, but I dont want to drive back across town to return a burger when I order to go. Not vegetarian safe.
Our server, Lacey, was, hands-down the best waitress Ive ever seen. She was, friendly, efficient, gregarious, caring, happy to be at work, and went the extra mile, not just with us, but with every patron that waked in the door. She should be training every waiter and waitress in the food serving industry. She is truly a GEM!!!!
I loved coming to Sharis every weekend with my family but 2 hour wait for breakfast is not ok! The fact that they served 3 other families that arrived after us made it worse. My family didnt want to be rude but I wanted to get up and leave. Totally unacceptable! We still tipped the waiter and left after service. But we will not be coming back. So disappointed this wasnt the first time guys.
Super friendly place with really good food. We were having trouble finding a place to eat as we were driving through on a road trip, so we took a chance when saw it and pulled over. Our kids had chicken strips, which they really liked. I had a burger and fries, which were good, too. My husband had a steak salad. He said it was fine. We ended up getting a pie to eat when we get home later tonight and said wed remember that place next time we are passing through.
I am not sure how this restaurant is getting more than 1 star. I am giving 1 star because the service was the ONLY good thing about this restaurant. I ordered the Prime Rib French Dip. The description boasted piled high prime rib. It was barely a 1/4 of prime rib. The flavor was that of lunch meat. My husband got Fish n Chips. Description was best in all of Norther CA. I think it was basically frozen fish fillets.
The service is really bad. I tried to give this place a 2nd chance but both times the service was awful. The manager was to busy with his friends in the dinning room to help the waitress. When the waitress finally showed up literally 15 min later to take my order. My coffee was cold. The funny part was that they told me it was fresh. I ordered the buttermilk pancakes and they were cold. I herd so many good stuff about this place.
I have ate here a few times and it always has been good but last night dinner was terrible. Food was cold and it had been sitting under the lamp for at least 8 min before we got it . Then the table next to us ordered the same food and there plates were huge. They ordered after us and they got served first . I ordered steak and got this tiny piece of steak 3 pieces of broccoli and a very small scoop of potatoes all for 15.99 . The girlfriend ordered chicken fried steak and it was over cooked hard as a rock and very small piece. The table next to us ordered the same but got two pieces of the chicken fried steak and there food was hot and steaming. Im a local and just very disappointed. 65 bucks for three cold plates . Just wasnt worth it to me .
Ive liked Sheris since I was a kid and it was nice to see impossible meat added to the menu. I went a few times recently because of the addition. I just ordered an impossible burger for pick up and received a beef patty that was undercooked. Sad that I cant trust anywhere to eat in all of Red Bluff and Anderson.
I ordered a strawberry pie online on their website at about 10:45 am for pick up at 3:30 pm on the same day. The picture on their website showed a pie with a large mound of strawberries in a standard pie crust surrounded by a massive ring of whipped cream. I entered a special instruction indicating NO WHIPPED CREAM. After placing the order I got an email confirmation that they had received my order and that it would be ready for pickup at the time requested. At 3:30 pm I arrived at the shop. Upon arrival the counter person informed me that all of the strawberry pies that they had in the store already had the wipped cream topping applied and they didnt have the strawberry filling that would be required in order to make a fresh pie without the whipping cream. I asked to see the pie, which had already been boxed and bagged. The counter person removed the pie from the box and bag for me to see. I was disappointed to see that the pie did not have a mound of strawberries, rather the filling was level with the rim of the crust. The whipped cream was only a narrow ring around the edge, so I took the pie. No apology was offered by any of the 3 staff members who were present during the transaction. I was also disappointed by the fact that despite placing the order several hours before it was scheduled to be picked up, no one from the store contacted me prior to my arrival at the store to let me know that they were unable to adhere to my special instructions. Had I been informed I would have cancelled the order and saved myself the 45 minute round trip from my house to the store and back. Misrepresented pie, failure to abide by the special instructions, failure to notify in a timely way and no apology = lost customer. Wont be back.
I dont eat regular food here as Ive had a bad experience. I ordered fish and chips and the fish was disgusting and raw. My wife found her food disgusting as well. I complained about the raw fish and still paid full price for everything. I wont bring my family here again. Their shakes are ok sometimes though.
The pies here are amazing they taste really good. The biscuits with gravy are a must you should definitely order on your first visit. The pulled pork nachos were good they werent amazing but they were pretty good and satisfying it really hit the spot. Loaded baked potatoe soup same rating as Nachos. Staff was great, our server was attentive and kind. The wait time was great. Overall the food was really good and the iced tea was bomb. Definitely recommend this place. You will not be disappointed!!
It was 15min until closing when a friend and I stopped in. They were super friendly and the food was delicious. Thank you for treating us late diners so well. I would definitely recommend Sharis to friends and family. I live an hour away but if I am in Red Bluff again I will definitely eat there again.
Love the place. Our waitress was the very best! She made us feel good after a tuff day at work. My son had a bad day at school and I at work and she must of known because she was kind and caring. Our whole area enjoyed her and our choc. Cream pie was great that we brought home. Thank you!
Dinner today was awful. When seated the table was sticky. Waited a long time, I was trying to be patient until I notice that people that where coming in where being served their drinks. I went to the counter to ask if someone was going to take our drinks order I also pleased the food order since we where ready to order. Someone eventually came to take our drink order, I confined the waiter that the table was dirty. Drinks came 10 min later I asked the waiter for creamer, utensils and something to clean the table. Two of our drinks where coffee since the waiter didnt return to our table I asked another waiter for the creamer and a towel to clean the table. The waitress came with the creamer and I asked her if she could bring a towel to clean the sticky table so she left and never returned. The waiter came with our order of food and as he was about to leave I asked him for the towel to clean the table and utensils and how where we suppose to eat. By then coffee was cold. Food was under cooked and toast was burnt. Waiter never came back to check on our table. Was really disappointed paid for food that half was not eaten. Had really bad customer service will not return to this restaurant nor will I recommend this place.
It was great. They were so busy every one was working as a well oiled machine. We got there and thought we would have to wait, but we were seated right away. The waitress was there right away and brought our drinks and took our order. She said the meal would be a while but it was there promptlythe waitstaff the manager everybody was doing their job the manager was cleaning tables the busboys were doing great the waitress was totally awesome the cooks are are awesome we didnt have any time to to play cards or anything the food was there right away. It was a great meal 😊👍 I can only give it five stars on here but it deserves 10 or more however many is a highest Stars you can give. it was great thank you.
Update: holiday weekend food was bad. Dry rice, rubbery rice, unevenly heated mashed sweet potatoes, chicken lacked flavor. Server tried her best to be accommodating & make up for the flaws. No complaint on service, but would not return during same cooks time.---Location is great just off of I5, open 24 hrs, and they serve all meals all day. They also always have a good assortment of pies. Morning, night & late night staff have always been good. Not over-the-top, but never slacking. And its good to have another option to Dennys.
I personally had the T bone steak and it tasty and tender. Served with a generous portion of fries (other choice of sides available)., Wife had the Salmon and said it was moist with great flavor. Extremely friendly waiter that did an excellent job. Good prices . Clean dining area and restrooms.
We walked into sharis and had to wait 20 minutes until we had to get up and ask forca waiter. Then they took another 20 minutes until we got our drinks. Then a family came in and sat behind us and they got service instantly. We had to wait an hour and a half and during that time we asked for service 3 times until an hour and a half went by, and we got horrible service. We were polite. And the entire time there was barely anyone in the restaurant.
We were seated quickly. The server came to the table promptly and got our drinks and then food out to us in a timely manner. The food was quite good, especially for the price point. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area looking for an affordable and quality place.Edit: Went back later for dessert, the pie is amazing.
It was a short wait, but it was Sunday after church so we expected that. Our hostess was very nice and personable as well as our server. The food was good, lets be real, its chain food you can get at anywhere. Most importantly restrooms were spotless! It was all over a nice experience.
Im pretty nostalgic about this place, but then again they do have great pies.I almost never get dessert when I go out but I will never go to Sharis and not get a slice of pie. You can never go wrong with their pie.The rest of their food is decent, but nothing to write home about.Only major downside is that their service is really hit or miss. Sometimes its good and sometimes its really slow and really bad.
The food is pretty decent and the staff is really nice. If you want to go somewhere after 9pm that isnt fast food in town than this is the place. My husband and I have been here a number of times and have even brought a large number of friends. The downside is the prices seem a bight high and the wait can be pretty long even when they dont seem busy.
Good eats, friendly staff and down home environment. This diner has been remodeled and the menu was revamped, it is definitely the best dinner in red bluff. The pies are AMAZING!!! Also, the price is decent with good helpings for what you spend. Well worth a visit if you live in town or are just passing through and looking for a good diner.
We went there last night and they said it was going to be an hour wait . No big deal we waited 15 minutes and nobody came to our table asked if we wanted drinks my husband came up and they were so rude some really tall skinny lady . So we just walked out we always seem to have issues here and the customer services is a bit and miss . We love going here but we will never be going back
Best Sharis I have ever been to. I could taste the love and pride the chef put into his dishes. The waiter. JOE, was attentive and delightful. My veggie omelet was made with the freshest, most beautiful veggies, the hashbrowns were crispy, not greasy, the toast was evenly buttered all the way to the crust, my daughters fish and chips were prepared with the same care and passion. Thank uou for such a wonderful first meal in Northern Cali!
The food is above amazing 10 times better then I hop and Dennys I even called and ask if they had a tip .I had the buttermilk pancakes topped with strawberry and a omelet topped with avocado tomatoes spenich and cheese and also hashbrown on the side with sour cream on the inside topped with bacon bits I LOVE IT.
Favorite bit about this restaurant is the humble, bright, interior architecture. Staff was very nice and fast. Had the steak salad. Beef was cooked just right. Wouldve liked the field of greens to be crisper. Pies were great. Love the individual cases per slice of pie. Squash soup was tasty too. Arnold Palmers lemonade was good lemonade.
Long wait times but good food. Usually we have a very pleasant experience despite how busy they are. However, today was disappointing. There a long line but we informed the hostess we just wanted to place a to go order for dessert. She said, No problem let me seat this table real quick and Ill be right with you. No problem, cool. She proceeds to seat not 1 but 3 tables, as well as put the names down of 2 separate walk ups, she completely ignored us. I dont mind waiting, they were busy after all. But she never even took our order or acknowledged us. Additionally, they now have a 2% charge for using cards. That, and given our recent negative experience, we likely wont be dining any further.Again, food is not badbad poor service.
My wife and I dined at Sharis Cafe & Pies on June 4. We were enjoying a Sunday drive and looking for someplace to eat. I went into Sharis and took a look around. The interior reminds one of another time in the past. The prices in the menu were reasonable. I then took a quick look in the restroom. Clean. I went out to the vehicle and we went in to dine. The food was GOOD. TIMELY. TASTY. The stroganoff was worth ordering again. The ribs were delicious. The pie was oh so good. The staff knew their job and did it well. Go and check them out I believe you will be glad you did
I hate to give any business one star, but my experience tonight has left me with no choice. My wife being 8 months pregnant and on bed rest i thought i would treat her to a nice steak dinner. I ordered 2 steak dinners over theyre web order service at 8:30 pm and was told my two steak dinners were going to be ready at 8:50 pm so i arrived at 8:52. I walk up to the waitress finishing checking out another customer and once finished its my turn and i tell her i was picking up a take out order, and she tells me she wants to check out all the people that were leaving first BEHIND ME! I say fine, absolutely shocked as there were 4 groups behind me, i patiently wait another 10 minutes for everyone to checkout, And once theres no one left I go backup and ask her I need my take out order only to have her tell me she has to take some more orders and shes going to call someone else to help me! So finally another waitress comes to help me and spends several more minutes swiping her id card in the computer for reasons I dont understand, Only to have her ask a gentleman why her card isnt working and he tells her its a Web order and I already paid, which she would have known if she would have looked at my bag. By the time i got home my medium rare 16 oz steak was more like well done, and my wifes medium well was well done, but both cold(and had absolutely no flavor at all!) I cannot believe the service I received there, and Just because these waitresses knew the customers behind me did not give them permission to treat me and my wife like garbage. We are survivors of the Paradise camp fire, and to be treated like this is beyond reprehensible. Thanks Sharis, for not just ruining our night, but also chipping away just a little more faith we have left in humanity.
Loved it. Food was amazing, tasty. Service was also very good in no time after we ordered our food it was on our table. You have to try the double hash brown stuffed OMG it was so good and also the 🍅 and 🥑 poached eggs with hollandaise sauce so good. Definitely a place to eat while traveling through. And our waitress Lacey was cheerful and so nice!!
Their food was great and the had a lot on my plate. It was well worth the stop. Our waiter went out of his way to come and talk to my husband. I would bet our meal on it that he was hitting on him. He was making excuses to keep coming back to our table to talk to him... 😆 🤣 😂
I love this restaurant.Every time Ive been in here, the staff has been extremely friendly and polite. The restaurant is comfortable and clean. The meals are good too, and their pie cannot be beaten. My personal favourite is the apple, but Ive liked every flavour that Ive tried here.
Really really good, decently priced, and the service is always amazing. I went in today and every booth was full and our waitress was handling an entire half of the restaurant and she never missed a beat. Food came out hot, refilled drinks, check on time, I tipped 50% and still felt like she earned more. We eat there quite a bit because of the rv park we stay at across the street and the staff is always so friendly to me and my 6 year old. They even let my daughter park her bike inside so nothing would happen to it, and they were the ones who suggested it, I was gonna leave it outside lol Definitely give this place a go.
This was my second experience with this Sharis. The staff were amazing, friendly, so efficient, and eager to really take care of the guests. My only constructive comment would come from a comment a waitress made when setting a solo dinner, only 1 today? I travel solo a lot and its insulting like 1 is not ok. Anyway, the burger was really good. Unfortunately no room for pie this trip!
My wife and I went there after our grandsons football game. It was on our way home. We were seated and we browsed through the menu for 10 minutes and decided on the prime rib dinner. My wife and I both agreed that it was the best prime rib weve ever had. When we were done we also purchased 2 pies. All pies are 9.99 during the month of October. Anytime we have a craving for prime rib we will be going back to Sharis.
I gave a score of 4 because of the great waitress, not for the food. Ordered a club sandwich and coleslaw to go. A true club sanwich has cheese on it and usually ham. This sandwich had neither. The 2 tablespoons of coleslaw lacked any kind of flavorable dressing. It should have been better for the price.
I dont even know where to start: Slow service, forgotten items, slow service, burned food, slow service wait on refills on coffee and missed the soda and water. Waitress mentioned going on break three times and the replacement never showed totally Ignored and on and on. Disappointing to say the least. 40 minutes waiting for food that came to the table and it was wrong. Very disappointed with the service, the unfriendly attitude, and atmosphere. No greeting should have been the warning that the visit would not go good. The manager was very discontented with the service of her staff.
Most of the food was great. But the pulled pork sliders were not great at all, couldnt even manage to swallow the first bite. Dry and all you could taste was Italian style seasonings. The waitress was slow and forgot numerous items that either came with the dinners or that we ordered. It took her almost 10 minutes to come tell us she was going to take our order, then she took other orders of customers who came in after us before remembering she never came and took ours.. after we got our food she never really checked to see if we needed anything, at one point she took my husbands drink for a refill and 10 minutes later we had to flag her down to get it back. We will return for the ribs and nachos but not in her section.
All our food was very good all cooked just right and quality food. The waitress was very friendly and prompt. It did a take quite awhile to get our food but we werent in a hurry. However i eent back there recently Jan 17 2019 and got very poor quality food and service. The waitress was snappy with us and my hasbroens were so raw they were still crunchy and the pancakes were raw in the middle and the coffee was so bitter that i had ti add 3 creamers when i normally drink it black. Not liking this.
Good and quick service and the restaurant was clean. The food was ok and have been better in the past. The Salmon was kinda salty, too much salt added. The hash browns was way too oily. There was a ton of oil laying on the bottom of the plate. The bread was also oily but, wasnt on the same plate with the hash browns. Sugar free apple pie would be nice if it was offered.
Good service and concerned for their customers comfort. I was in there have some pie and coffee with an older lady friend of mine and she was feeling chilled by the air blowing on us and they turned it off for her. I thought it was good service. Plus she checked on us offen see if we needed anything more.
Delicious food cant beat their pies. My personal favorite is strawberry cheese pie. This is the only place I will eat an apple pie... seriously. The wait staff friendly, efficient and super polite. Has a good mom and pop atmosphere. Highly recommend this Red Bluff location.
I love this restaurant. So many memories I have here. Me and my fiancé usually eats here alot. Their pie is just unbelievable delicious! If it wasnt so expensive I would eat it a lot. I think they give free pie on Wednesday only at specific time usually I work which sucks. Its very nice inside they did remodel it. Lots of people comes here. The parking sucks when its pack kinda hard to find one. They have a great crew working there. I love how its 24hrs restaurant. Usually me and my coworkers comes here after work around 2:30am. We eat amazing food and have a really great time!
This restaurant has the most pleasant and accommodating wait staff and management I have ever experienced! The food is amazing! There are a wide variety of healthy, fresh and unique dishes. Everything is tasty. If it doesnt match your tastebuds, they will happily replace it! I love to go to this clean, happy place!
I order from the Red Bluff Shari’s for Christmas dinner and the dinner itself was fantastic. The service walking in was fantastic but I believe this is the same staff that hung up on me when I called to either get a credit or a refund for an item they forgot. I understand it was just a side and is under $3.00 but you don’t hang up on a customer. This experience was all just a plain joke when it comes to how Shari’s usually treats their customers. I was told I could come back and get my toast, no credit or refund. Yes, it was just toast but I’m not complaining on how it was forgotten out of my bag. I’m complaining upon the service afterwards. No customer should be hung up on and no customer should be talked to as if it’s a joke.
Food was good with many items to choose from, all reasonable prices. We went in the morning (10am) and was seated right away, about half hour after we ordered to be served.Only 3 stars because the restaurant had no air.circulation it seem. It was uncomfortably warm inside.
We are vacationing in California for the first time and stopped in Red Bluff. Sharis came up as a carry out place so we decided to try it. Ordering was easy, and the food was amazing. Many of the items are things we order other places, and they were great! Definitely way better than Dennys! We want one back home in Illinois! The only downside was the woman who got us our order was quite rude, but hopefully she was just having a bad day as other reviewers state that staff is amazing. Were giving her the benefit of the doubt as the food was excellent and made up for it tenfold.
So I came to the Shari’s in Red Bluff, California because it sounded good. I’m from Oregon so I don’t go to a Shari’s that often, but I have before. This particular visit was awful. Our waitresses name was Jenny. First off, she gave my dad a dirty cup that had melted cheese on the side of it. Then she proceeded to charge me for a lemonade my mom asked for which we did not even get the lemonade but instead got a water. Jenny only checked on us once and that was to bring us our food. I did not give a tip because it was terrible service. Also, the fries were very bland and I lost my appetite. I will not be coming back to this restaurant ( 11-11-18)
We dropped in for lunch and found that Sharis is now our new favorite place to eat in town. We were given extra special attention and service. Our server, Maggie, was extremely friendly and a wonderful addition to our day. The food is well prepared, delicious and affordable. The restaurant, including the restrooms, are clean. The eating area is cozy and comfortable as well as nicely decorated with pleasant music in the background. We highly recommend Sharis and will be returning again soon.
We have chosen this place to be part of our tradition. On our yearly week on the beautiful Lake Shasta we stop at Shairs on our way home for a great meal and even better a great piece of pie 🥧 Although I cant remember our waitress name but she was nothing short of being amazing. We were a party of six who sat in the big booth right past the bathrooms. We were there Sunday July 5th around 1ish-2ish.Please if you remember her name please extent our warmest wishes. I write this review for her. Thank you!
They didnt put the avocado on my burger and I payed for that, its co.pletly over cooked and I asked for medium. It was thrown together and the paper it was wrapped in was melted onto my cheese and I had to pick the paper out of my cheese. Plus the server was rude when I asked to reheat my food and I shouldnt have to ask to reheat my food. We usually come in and the service and food is great, Im not sure what happened tonight but the cook should do better. Hope nobody gets in trouble just hope the job gets done right next time.
I have heard many great things about Sharis and their pies, but was disappointed by my visit there today. I ordered a turkey club and when it arrived it was ALL lettuce and tomato. There was a tiny piece of turkey ln my sandwich though it is advertised in the menu as more turkey than vegetables. When I told my waitress there was no turkey on my sandwich she told me she would charge us to add extra. So they add another tiny peice of turkey to my sandwich and charge me $3 for it. RIDICULOUS. I wont be back.
One of the most comfortable and consistent places in Red Bluff to eat but its becoming so expensive. Our meal is almost always above $50. I have extensive food allergies which limit the options I can select from the menu. Substituting things I can eat in place of things I cannot has become more expensive as well. Im not able to dine here as often as I once did.
Nice place! Good old fashion coffee and pie shop. Family owned and operated. For generations. Pride of ownership shows. All areas well lit and clean. Bright cheery staff. Pies on display looked very inviting and fresh. Big menu selection of various comfort foods. Ie: meat loaf, chicken fried steak. Great T-bone steaks. Excellent breakfasts served any time. The best loaded potatoe soup I have ever had. Was topped with a dollop of sour cream and chives. Will definitely return just for the potaroe soup! Have eaten there several times now, and it has been consistantly 5 star. Just a great coffee and pie shop. Have never had the room for a slice of pie yet. Will have to buy a whole one to take home next time I stop there. Definitely a great place. I will say that each time it has been memorable. And this from a coffee shop...
So, I must begin with this bit of information. I am from Alabama and I know a thing or two about comfort food. However, the only chain restaurants we have that slightly compare to Sharis is IHOP, Dennys, or Shoneys. They all serve the same food, but Sharis fully-loaded hash browns are incomparable to anything we have in Alabama. They were like an old fashioned hash brown casserole, creamy, cheesy, and loaded with bacon, but had a deliciously golden brown crisp in each bite thats made to order. They were absolutely the best. If you need more incentive to try Sharis, then believe me when I say the service was tremendously pleasant. I had the best waitress, Ms. Audria. She had the most awesome personality, helped me to choose the best dish, and was superlatively attentive! Please go try Sharis. If you have the same experience I did, then youre totally in for a treat 😁
Good food, great tasting. Good service, great people. Comparative pricing & nice atmosphere (though personally liked high backed booths before remodeling). Old standards. contemporary, signature faire. Turkey burger delicious change of pace-Peanut Butter Chocolate Silk pie shake mmm mmm-Key Lime pie oh my. WiFi. Cafe Club offers. Just a nice place to eat.
Cooks are very slow waited 50 min for breakfast this am restaurant 1/4 full worse its ever been waitress was going out of her way to make all of us happy [ red hair ] she was the only thing from the whole side of the restaurant leaving she is a grt associate greg merkel
I was so very disappointed!!!! I have not been to Sherri’s in a long time and was held up here for a few hours all happy I could go enjoy a nice piece of pie ..... NO that wasn’t not the case!!So saddened me!!! I walk in waited to be noticed for 5 minutes and when I was asked where I wanted to sit I asked for a booth as I’m alone... she rolled her eyes and said “well you’ll have to wait then I will have to clean a table” I looked back at her as she walked away leaving me standing there in the middle of the room , she gave me the dirtiest look!!! Made me feel just terrible!!!!!I told the other waitress that I am leaving cause her co worker don’t want me there!I left!I DO NOT Recommend this place to anyone!!!
The waitress was terrible to start things off had to be reminded again and again for the remainder of our drink order which the manager finally brought out after we had asked the waitress three times had to ask for every refill on beverages( which would’ve been no big deal but they were not even busy ) the kids lemonade was water the first time and then nothing more than syrup the second time my husband‘s food came with hair in it which they did end up taking off the bill while they were waitress was so proud of herself that she also took off the cost of his coffee ( like that made everything better ) and to top it all off the manager never even came by to apologize she briefly mumbled sorry as my husband payed the check all and all a bad experience all around and the food that didn’t come with hair in it was not that great either if you choose to eat at this establishment I hope you have a better experience than we did
Im a Vegitarian and most Sharis have had many options for me but they did on here in Red Bluff. I was also soppose to get a free slice of pie when signing up for their rewards program and they charged me for the pie. Service was very slow. Took an hour to bring the food to the table for one person. They could do better with effort.

2022-05-09I liked Sharis Cafe and Pies. The food was good, I split a T-bone steak meal with a family member. We ordered a medium cook (which I normally dont order anyway, I like a more rare, medium-rare cook), but my relative and I both thought the steak was more cooked than a medium. It was still very good, however. The seasonings were delicious! Another relative ordered a club sandwich, and they were pleasantly surprised to receive 4 large club sandwiches. Finally, we ordered two slices of pie, the marion berry cheesecake, and the chocolate cream pie. Overall, we much preferred the marion berry cheesecake, but the chocolate cream pie was still delicious. I was a little disappointed by the size of the pie, they werent very large, but I cant remember how much each slice was, so Im not sure if it was a reasonable price or not. All in all, I really liked eating here. The staff was friendly and helpful, and I would gladly return in the future.

2022-02-16I would say this place is about average. I would easily compare it to a Denny’s but, no microwaved food.My wife and I both had the Prime dip Philly style. It was decent and the dip had a good flavor to it. The kids were happy with their Spring Omelet, French toast and Chicken salad. The waitress was incredibly nice and was very helpful. I didn’t catch her name but, she was appreciated.Overall, we would eat here again.

2022-07-02Me, my husband, and my mother-in-law always come to Shari’s every now and then. Average local restaurant, not bad for the price. Yesterday we were served by James, I believe he’s new here at Shari’s, and his service was great. He was extremely friendly and welcoming. Even showed the diners a magic trick. It was super cool, we definitely need more people like him. It makes the dining experience more memorable and worth while.

2021-09-05Bridget was outstanding! So on point! The eggs Benedict with the tomatoes and avacado are to die for. I grew up with Sharis but havent been to one in a decade and my wife had never been to one. We entered and I was back in high school! It was so CLEAN and awesome. My wife was in awe at the pie selection! Everything was plated perfect! Melissa was one of the chefs that made my Benny! If you see her back there you know it will be perfect!!Egg

2022-06-11This is my second time ordering this salad, no Asian dressing, no you do not need to ask for it, it’s supposed to come with it, and for the size of the salad you would think they would put more ranch on the side especially if they didn’t add the Asian dressing. I’m eating a dry salad for lunch today.

2022-04-27The service is getting really bad. Been waiting here for a refill and it never came there only 4tables and the waitress is doing door dash orders and cleaning without asking the people around her if they need anything?

2022-03-22Good but average dinner. Soup was not hot. Service was good. Pie was also good. Biscuits were a bit doughy.

2022-07-20Sharis Cafe is a good restaurant not only do they have great pies with a great choice but they have a menu with a lot of choices for a good price. They used to have chicken and waffles which was one of my favorites and their fried Chicken for lunch or dinner I wish they would bring that back. And when you cant decide they always have their breakfast sampler little bit of everything I like that.

2022-03-03Ordered biscuits and gravy. Where could you go wrong, right? So I thought. Sour and had chives in it? I’m not sure what gravy sauce they used, but it just wasn’t right. Told the waitress and said she’ll go ask the cooks and heard no response after that. Service was okay for the most part, but the food here is not worth while. With a long wait you would expect good food. Guess not.

2021-09-28I’ve always had a decent experience when dining inside, which is the only reason I’m leaving two stars. Last night I ordered through door dash, and they did not send any butter, syrup, or the pumpkin whipped cream that was supposed to come with the pumpkin pancakes. I also ordered stuffed hashbrowns, and they are supposed to come with applewood smoked REAL bacon. They came with nasty fake bacon bits you get at the store for salad toppings. I won’t be ordering from them again.
