Had a great experience with Select Staffing. The recruiters are very polite, relatable, and listen to the needs of their employees. Ana, the front desk clerk was very generous and very friendly to talk to. Ana goes out of her way to contact employees regarding job positions, information, and concerns. My experience with this Agency was superb and absolutely phenomenal. I engaged this agency to help recruit my clients and put them back to work . Prior to coming to the office, I called to schedule an appointment. I explained that I was looking for clerical temporary positions. Upon arriving to the office for my appointment, the woman at the front desk gave me a dirty look and frowned. I explained i had an appointment. I sat with her and told her what position I was looking for. She did not look at my resume and told me that I was inexperienced for the data entry positions. She was extremely unprofessional and after reading other reviews about racial discrimination, it makes perfect sense.

Select Staffing is one of the best agencies there is when it comes to long term and reliable work. Their staff is really helpful when it comes to accommodating you to a work site that suits your skill set. Im glad I was able to work with Jazmine she was extremely helpful and was able to get me a job where I can expand my skill sets and grow in a company.
I’m just going to be very honest, great service if your any other race besides black. I know it sounds cliche, but being that majority of the offices recruiters are Latina or Latino descendants who do you think they prefer to recruit. I’m not down playing the service at all but if being honest, if your black don’t even waist your time with them at least the Carson branch. If they do offer you work, it will literally only be a one day assignment or backbreaking warehouse as they feel like that’s all you can do and will offer you below minimum wage for the work. But when it comes to their own people they’re the first to be recommended for the jobs the first to be called and have much better salary offers. I think the recruiters need to be held more accountable when handling these types of problems, great service just be fair with the service. And my name is Darius Chamberlain if anyone has an opinion or any one feels like I’m stating anything wrong.

Before going to this agency I went to others and let me say that none were as reliable and friendly as this one. They really try to help you get a job. Jasmine Bejar was the one to help me and I say she did and does an amazing job. She goes above and beyond to get you a job. I would really recommend select staffing in the city of Carson.
I met with Leticia and Jessica at Select who were a delight to speak to. Jessica was able to go over my resume, explain select’s hiring process and helpful with their online application. She also informed me that most people tend to do it at home which usually saves an average of 2 hours. It seems that this company has mastered their onboarding process to become effficient and not become a cattle call like most staffing agencies.Since I am looking for an opportunity in Human Resources , Leticia informed me that she did not have anything at the moment, nonetheless, Leticia was thorough in explaining to me their detailed hiring process and procedures. She also gave me tips on how to follow up with recruiters, working with staffing agencies and how to land the dream job.Leticia seemed passionate about her work and assured me that she would do her best to help me. She did show me select app and the really cool features applicants and employed workers can use daily.Overall, it was a great experience, professional environment and great people. Dear Human Resources,I’ve been working with Kings Hawaiian since November 1st. This letter is to inform you of my experience working with Angie and to request a shift change.The day of orientation I was trying to contact Angie an hour ahead of time to let her know I might be running a little late since I was on public transportation. Angie did not answer or respond to my text message or voicemail. I called her numerous of times. When I got to orientation the first thing she did was try to turn me away. I informed her of the situation and that I attempted to contact her to let her know that I was running late. After the first work week, Angie said, “if I don’t get a phone call or a text message on Sunday don’t come in”. That wasn’t reliable because she didn’t text or call me at all. I was at home for almost 2 weeks.During those two weeks, I was calling her to ask when do I come back in. Again, Angie didn’t answer or reply. I had to go up to the Select Staffing office to talk to an agent because Angie wasn’t answering any of my phone calls and I needed to know what was going on with the job position.

I was there this past Monday for a job interview and there was a child around 7 or 8 running around the facility like it was a daycare...I think it is safe to assume it was an employees child...I found it to be very unprofessional so I just got up and left!! Didnt even fill out any paperwork. It left a very bad taste in my mouth!!

This place is very unprofessional. I just called an said ( good morning how are you doing this morning) she says ( so.......... How can I help you) I can be rude to but thats not my company style. Its. Not what you say but how you say it. Like a smart remark voice basically she was better off saying what do you want. Her customer service is very unprofessional. You greet back with good morning im good how are you. Its the first impression you make that makes your company.If your a small local business dont hire from here because there very disrespectful an they treat everyone like an annoyance.
The job I was sent to had obvious favoritism towards a specific ethnic group, blatant sexism to the female workers from the head supervisor, no raises or promotions to anybody else after years of working there (except that specific ethnic group), and many hazardous safety violation issues. All these and a long list of other problems and violations. Also for the very low pay, none of it seemed worthwhile to stay and there was never going to be any future there. When I requested from my Select agent a new job placement and expressed my interest in leaving, plus attempting to make a complaint about these problems while still working there, I was ignored and nothing ever happened until I just stopped going to work at that job. Since then the Select agent assigned to me passed me along to somebody else and the agency has not sent me anywhere else claiming that they dont have any other jobs. (Only that 1 contract?? Really??). This agency seems to be only focused on profits from easily replacable and disposable workers without concern of the workers at all.
I was working for the branch for a week, and I had gotten a sickness that limited my ability to move and perform well. I called in the next day and spoke to the recruiter jazmine and she told me to try to go back to work even wen I was sick, I had to drive a forklift. I was gonna go even if she told me too cause I will not jeopardize my own and others lives just because she didnt care she just cared about her looking good for a company.
I would really recommend Select Staffing! I was very unhappy with my previous job and decided to come in and apply to new jobs, Jasmin helped me out and she never gave up on me! I am so grateful for Jasmin because I love my new job!

LONG STORY SHORT, process but worth it. my experience was super good. when i first came into Los Angeles County from fresno I was searching for an agency so I found the Select staffing at carson and I called to see if theres any forklift position, I gave her my information and the recruiters said come on in sir, I am going to make sure you start today and she made it happen. she set up the interview and if I were to pass the interview I would start that same hour of the day. well guess what I failed the Forklift test and I told the recruiter about it and she was still ambitious and confident like it was nothing, its like she knows whats going to happen next lol. so she told me to go back to the office, so I did. and that she was going to get me in there still but as a general labor at $11.50 and from there that I can move my way up as a Forklift Driver, so guess what she gave me my badge and i went back where i took the forklift test and started work as a general labor that same day. also i want to share that I got promoted as a Forklift Driver yesterday. I started that job 29th of june 2016... my recruiter was about her word .DUDE I never met someone that has such great communication skills and leadership . she plays a big role on communication feedback. shes with you along the way. if you need anything from her. shell give you her direct line, email and even her personal line just to follow up with u. WHO DOES THAT? shes the real deal. thank you so much JASMINE BEJAR you really are a big help. I highly recommend to ask for jasmine. she will help you get a job.

It is true that jasmine lady is racist evil heartless person and only cares about her self she was so rude even one of her co worker told me that she miss know it all And apologize for her behavior thanks Jessica :) you are so sweet you will go far in your Career I believe HR needs to put a stop to this before they get a discrimination lawsuit . The office itself is nice and the agents are friendly.The problems that go unseen are the supervisors, specifically Angie and Ricardo. I could never get in contact with them. I tried being patient and calm but now I am angry.I was WRONGFULLY let go due to my epilepsy and through a text message. Since I could not afford to pay for my health Insurance or my medication, I needed a letter to prove that I was relieved. They never answered a phone call or text I even went into the office to ask them personally. The lady said I needed to talk to angie and that she would get Into contact with me with in the next 3 days. Neither her or Ricardo answered, this was in August. My attorney advised me to take legal actions but I really do not want to reach that point, I simply asked for a letter, nothing more.I am still being denied medical because i do not have that letter and I cannot afford $200 a month through covered California. I got to sick without my medication and could not find work and even had to drop my college classes because my seizures got out of control.Since they did not want to answer simple text messages I write this review with hope that both Angie and Ricardo read this... you let me go because of an illness out of my control. remember that kings hawiian AC broke down that night. I got over heated and began having pre seizure symptoms, you sent me home. That situation was not my fault neither was it yours but that was a safety violation, to have employees work in those sudden heat conditions. I worked hard and I never called off, but the same night you sent me home you sent home someone else for stomach aches, he still has a job. I normally let things go easily but a simple letter took a huge chunk of my education and potential scholarships away.It is not fair that these kind of things go unnoticed and I am sure I am not the first to go through it.Please observe youre supersiovors a lot closer, they do what they want at their convenience.Also: consider cutting out text messaging on personal phones completly. It is inconveieneit and a bit inappropriate to communicate important work information through a personal text. They can easily erase or loose information.* I understand that supervisors have hectic lives aswell, but that does not give them the right to stop doing their jobs.
Bad Experience with this place. After initially calling this place for the first time to gather more information on how everything works Christina Answer the phone and she was kind to answer some of my questions. I began to tell her that I wanted to speak with jasmin based on the reviews and she told me I had to fill up the application first . She created the initial steps and forwarded me an email with login. After login in for the first time to the website a message displayed indicating application inactivated apply in 6 months. Furthermore, I called to ask for more help and George answer he stated there’s nothing he could do and that system detected an error. George said that I don’t fit the requirements without not even knowing who I was or previous job experiences due to the fact the application only had my name and address. AVOID GEORGE if possible. Find a way to get in contact with JASMIN directly, she’s the only one with a reliable amount of good reviews.
This place is nice inside they get you jobs like they are supposed to do. But when it comes to getting paid they are very poor in service. I worked a job site two weeks ago and they have yet to pay me. Or keep me updated about when I am getting my check. I am the one whos calling being placed on hold for several hours and to be told they still dont have my check.
Worst empoyment agency. Gave me one day jobs and never got me in a permanent job. They want us the employees to be reliable yet they cant offer anything stable. I wouldnt recommend anyone to this agency, especially if you have responsibilities like rent. The girls on the front desk really dont care about anyone but themselves. There getting paid so really if they have a job and dont like you . The will give it to someone else. You miss a day of work and they punish you. I was better off working in restaurants.

I would not depend on Select Staffing if my life depended on it, first I was sent out to Lakeshores and not everyone has warehouse experience and I was sent to orientation for King Hawaiian and havent heard back since past the quizzes during orientation and Jasmin Bejar just gives me the impression of a princess that doesnt want to be bothered with too many applicants and she just made me feel like I was totally beneath her when I had my interactions with her and the best thing I did was move on from Select Staffing and the only people that will give shout-outs to Jasmin in particular are the ones that either in love with her physical appearance and as a person shes not as beautiful as a person as she is with her physical appearance I would honestly not recommend Select Staffing to my worst enemy because of people like her!!!

I dont usually write reviews but i have to commend the great staff at the Carson branch...they care about you and it shows in the effort they put forth in finding you employment....I want to give a special show of gratitude and appreciation to Jasmin Bejar, a Select Staffing supervisor, for all the help she has put forth in finding me employmentheres an example;had an assignment that I worked my tail off at, trying to impress the client, I guess the client supervisor there didnt like me or he didnt like the fact i didnt speak spanish, (he held our morning pre-shift meetings in spanish) .....i got along with all my coworkers in my department even though most of them didnt speak any english, and they all worked hard as well....everybody showed me alot of love there at that assignment....anyways, im about to clock out one day and the client supervisor says, thanks for your work today, ill see you tomorrow....i get in the car and start driving home, and i get a call from Select telling me that the clients supervisor sent them an email requesting that my assignment be ended (and they were real busy)....ive never been fired from a job and i have always been a hard worker and a team player so this came as a surprise....and more so, thoughts in my head were, damn, that isnt gonna reflect good on me, and Select Staffing is probably not going to help me find anotyer assignment, or if they do its going to be at a lower pay rate....so i asked one of the Carson branch associates if they could give me another assignment, mind you im prepared for a negative response, well Jasmin and the girls from my local Carson office understood things dont always work out at the assignments we go to....the next day, which was yesterday, I started a new assignment, higher pay rate, at a really cool spot......once again, thank you to all the girls at the Carson branch and a special thanks to Jasmin Bejar as well as my new case supervisor under the employbridge umbrella Daniel Rivas who helped me as well, and i want to send a shot out to all my coworkers at my old assignment minus the client supervisor for showing me love, i might not speak spanish but we communicated fine over there tooand in response to Frank Mcgutcheon or whatever his name is reveiw,your a funny guy, i have been helped by all the girls at the Carson branch, and i have never even met Jasmin in person or know what she looks like, I corresponded through emails and she even took time out her dah to text me, maybe you didnt pass your little quizzes or didnt impress the client when you were put on an assignment....their job isnt to hold our hands and make sure we have our lunch money everyday for work...they get our foot in the door with these clients, and its up to you to either make it happen or watch the door get shut in your face....sounds like you got the latter part of the foot in the door version......sorry to hear about thateverytime you point a finger, theres ten pointed back at youself check

Was really great at the beginning until I found out that they move you somewhere else when u have a really minor injury and change their minds after you dont work for them for sometime so thdy put excuses ao u wont get a job

They are all unethical, unprofessional... if you report an injury you are asked to be red listed in the system and they will never send you out to work again! I know because I was told to do so to all employees that reported injuries! They treat the hires very poorly

I walked in and the ladies were very polite and helpful i had a couple of questions and they were answered in the best of there knowledge. I will fill out my application online and return when it is complete.

2022-06-15Very unprofessional work ethic from Myra, she ignores people. I was waiting for information for an orientation on a specific date, I called her multiple times, and messaged her on a Thursday and Friday. She decided to message me “back” the following Wednesday, a whole week when orientation had already passed. She made me purchase certain ppe just to be ignored, very unprofessional manner of her.

2021-09-30Awful experience. I signed up, did the interview process, etc. The recruiter I interviewed with who was assigned to me, Myra, gives me her number and assures me that I can text her whenever, and she would help me find a position. After about a week, she wouldnt reply to messages. When I would call the office, she would tell the person on the phone to have me simply text her (probably a go-to answer so she doesnt have to deal with who she doesnt want to deal with). So, I decide to go in person, since I had an interview nearby and was dressed up. When I go in, Myra recognizes me, sees me waiting to talk to a different lady to help me. Myra comes up to me, and turns on the Customer Service switch, and attempts to be helpful. It is then, that she tells me that there are no positions available in the area I am looking (something she obviously could have informed me via text), and had a totally different energy only because I was there in person, which I think is very tacky. Lastly, before when I spoke to the other lady about helping me find a position, and before Myra approached me with her whole bit, the lady had asked me for my ID, which I gave her. Somehow, it ended up with Myra. Myra forgot she had my ID, and saw me still waiting for some time after she did her whole routine. In clear view of her, literally only maybe 20 ft away, she text messages me Youre good, you can leave now, instead of coming up to me. I had reminded her that she took my ID, and she seemed embarrassed. Very unprofessional to text message someone in clear view of you because you dont want to approach them.

2021-12-09If I could give 2 and a half stars, I would. They always have jobs ready, but the pay isnt worth it even on a weekly schedule. Temp to hire positions dont even hire you. Im pretty disappointed with select. Its safer and less back breaking finding an actual company job on your own. I saw no opportunity for growth here

2017-08-07To be honest I seen the reviews & thought about coming in , but we all have our own opinion and I always know theirs ALWAYS two sides to a story . I wanted to go in and see for myself and Im very glad I did . My experiences with select staffing was nothing compare to others experience they were all very nice and had good manners when walking in everyone seemed very polite , Jasmin was very helpful and understood how badly I needed this job , she really put in the effort and took the time to find me a job that fitted my past work history. I appreciate her effort and kindness & yes they should hire more people like her who take their job to another level and who puts in the extra effort to help others .

2021-01-07As soon as you walk in there all those female recruiters stay talking about non work related issues. They are VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and take their sweet time to get your hiring process going. Dont expect any respectful and great customer service. I do not recommend, there are WAY better agencies out there 100%!

2019-03-15I have a high paying job because of select staffing, glad to share my experience:1. Professional at every level, especially recruiter Jasmin who was very helpful.2. Positive environment in the office, I saw sense of humor when I watched their training videos, but didn’t know that it applies to all the staff.3. Awesome connection with the use of modern technology, surprised when I discovered that they even have their own app.4. Eventually, got me much better offer than I could ask for. It helps me believe that they have better network of employers to work with.Even if you are going through family or financial issues, go to select staffing, push your head up, relax, explain your experience, what type of work you need and you will be fine! And of course do the best you can do at work they will get you!

She guided me step by step in the process of getting my new job. I was then took through the interview process with Michelle where again I was assisted with a fast pace and friendly face. if you are looking to get placed in a good paying job real fast come here.

2016-10-26Very clean and professional business setting. I was greeted immediately as I walked into the establishment by Ana at the front desk, she was friendly and efficient and got me situated with the paperwork I needed to start working. There was no hassle or long wait and everything was organized and ran quickly and smoothly. My interviewer was Michelle, and right away she input the information to run my background check, which is ideal for me seeing as most companies take FOREVER to even initiate the process. I actually enjoyed being here because of the welcoming, family vibe the office has; they didnt make me nervous or anxious like I usually am when doing interviews. All in all, theyve earned my 5 stars and I will definitely refer my friends and family to apply here.
