You HAVE to get married here! My husband and I had an incredible experience at this venue and working with Taylor. It was simply the best day of our lives and I wish I could do it all over again! The venue itself is beautiful and conveniently set up between the actual ceremony site, cocktail hour, and reception room. Our wedding day was flawless and perfect in every way, and it’s definitely a testament to the venue and to Taylor!Seascape Golf Club provides several options to meet your needs and also make your wedding unique to you. I loved how they provided the option to work with specific vendors (cake vendor and florist). We got to customize everything and we absolutely LOVED our flowers and cake. While planning, Taylor was with us every step of the way. My husband and I had a long engagement and chose this venue right at the beginning, and Taylor was ALWAYS responsive and answered our questions, even with our wedding being more than a year away! She is the perfect wedding coordinator and we cannot recommend working with her enough. During the wedding weekend, my husband and I didn’t have to worry about a thing! She was extremely organized and attentive during the ceremony rehearsal and day of the wedding. She stepped in whenever anything was needed, and was always a step ahead of us. Not only was she on top of everything, she is also extremely fun to work with! She definitely knows what she’s doing and brings excitement and fun into the entire process. My husband and I are SO HAPPY we chose Seascape Golf Club as our place to get married. I will continue to rave about this venue and I HIGHLY recommend getting married here for your special day. You will not regret it!
I love Seascape! The venue was absolutely stunning and perfect for my wedding this past July! My husband and I chose to use the 10th Tee Ceremony Site, Practice Green for the cocktail hour, and the Monarch Room for our reception. All three spaces were just breathtaking and made for the perfect day. Everything was clean, organized and ready to go the day of, and the prep beforehand was also a breeze. It was also a very nice touch that both the bridal and groom parties were able to have a space on site to get ready the day of!Taylor is AMAZING! I worked with her from beginning to end, and she made my experience such an easy and fun experience. She is super fast with her responses, and very detailed as well. Plus shes just a super sweet person overall. She made the wedding planning seamless, which helped to confirm I could never turn into a Bridezilla!!Due to Covid, we werent able to do a taste test for the food, but Taylor said the food was amazing, I trusted her, and it turns out the food was REALLY amazing. We chose steak, salmon, and pasta primavera and the guests were in love! The service here was also phenomenal. We asked for a few extra things here and there and they were able to accommodate. Amazing amazing staff!! I would recommend this venue to any bride and groom looking to get married in the Santa Cruz/Aptos area. Thank you Taylor and thank you Seascape!!
Lies are a bit tight in some places (like middle of the fairway on 2), but overall early summer conditions are great.Tight layout with a couple of 200yd+ par 3s make it a good fit for players that are straight, but maybe only average length off the tee.Long hitters can take advantage, but the penalty for being off the fairway can be significant in terms of losing ball or being blocked. The greens are dominated by the slope related to the hilly terrain and can definitely punish you if youre trying to hole out from above the hole. The greens were in generally good shape and receptive to well struck approaches
Escape when you can to the Seascape golf course and restaurant. Even in times like we have now, this is a special getaway for the golfer in me. The food and libations were excellent and reasonably priced. All of the mandatory precautions were maintained with care and thoughtfulness. As for the course, what a gorgeous place to play golf. All aspects of the golf course itself appear well managed and in excellent condition. Will return again and again.
This golf course is fun and a challenge. Greens are in great shape. Course layout is fun and user friendly. Bar is good, All the staff are great and there are amazing views. Only knock would be its such a nice place to play for all skill levels of golfer that it is slow. Im talking 5 hours to play 15 holes slow.
Interesting and challenging course for me--high index. A few greens are challenging: #15 with three tiers, #17 with a steep slope and a couple others. Well marked, fair price and well maintained. The scenery is impressive, especially if you get a couple of deer within your play. Breakfast is quantitative not qualitative. Staff is excellent!!!
Attended a private event at one of their banquet rooms. I was disappointed at how old and worn the place looked. Starting with the parking lot and then the building itself. The restrooms are in need of a remodel, toilets running, just outdated overall. On a better note, the catered food was very good. Appetizers were tasty and well presented. The staff was incredibly friendly and very accommodating with all requests. The view is wonderful from the banquet rooms and included outside seating.Unfortunately, our event was next to the pro-shop and apparently the main entrance to the golf course was through our banquet room. Thankfully, our event was late in the afternoon and most golfers were finishing up before dark so the golfer traffic did not last too long.
Weve played Seascape a few times over the last several years. Its a nicely laid out, interesting golf course. Our beef and hence the low rating, is three-fold. First, their driving range is short... not a big deal, except that they were completely out of range balls!! And no one brought them for about an hour and a half- the range caddy only worked part time. We picked a few up ourselves- the balls were really beat up, too. The staff didnt seem all that concerned, though they did offer us free range balls... but it didnt help us any since the employee who gathered up the range balls took off with them for some reason and came back with them about the time we were teeing off.Another thing we do not like about this course is the fairway grass. Most of the fairways seem to be St. Augustine grass. Very difficult to hit off of. We dont remember if the course had this type of grass when we played it previously or not. But it wasnt fun.Oh, one more thing... our cart was pretty beat up, too. It didnt run well- something mechanical... and then on the 3rd hole we discovered it had a flat tire, too! We thought about calling the pro shop, but based on our previous experience that day, we opted to wait until the turn to switch out the cart. All in all it was an unpleasant experience and since it was quite a drive for us, we dont plan on taking another chance on this course.
The new owners ruined it for me and my family. Ive been living near the golf course for 5 years now and not only have I enjoyed many rounds of golf there but I also once enjoyed walking my dog there after hours. I always cleaned up after her and the Ambassadors were always very friendly to us as they drove by collecting the flags. But the golf course was recently sold, and the new owner now has these same Ambassadors rudely telling all non-paying customers to leave the property, even when there after hours! Im a member of this community, which means I look out for my neighbors. When I used to see stupid people out on the course causing trouble, I would tell them to respect the space or leave. Now Im being treated like an intruder. There are no public parks in the neighborhood. Rio del Mar elementary school even claims ownership over the park next to them and officially does not allow dogs there (I was told this by the vice principal). So the only place nearby is the wildlife area up on the ridge, which is covered with poison oak!I will not be playing anymore golf here, and will not recommend them to any friends.
The clubhouse, staff and conditions of the course were all good. The layout and design of the course is awful.Nearly impossible to calculate yardage with all of the constant elevation changes. Greens are tricked up and impossible to read. Some of the homes are so close they have signs asking that you keep your voice down so as not to disturb the occupants trying to sleep.
Course was beautiful, staff in pro shop very friendly. I agree with others that play was very slow. We joined the 2 golfers ahead of us when it started slow. They dropped out after about 14 holes due to slow play. We finished but the round took almost 5 hours with long waits at many holes. I did hear the 4-some ahead of us joke that they were only suppose to play 9 holes but actually played 18. That may have contributed to the slow play. Ive played Seascape many times and it is a favorite of mine. Playing Thursday at 1 p.m. I wouldnt have expected it to be that slow.
Course and weather were nice. The pace of play was a horror show. Well over 5 hours. No Marshall around to do something .... like speed things up. For a Wed AM (not a weekend) it was the worst weekday pace Ive played in over 10 years ! Will not return if this does not get better. It definitely took away from the over-all experience. It also took away from developing additional business. We were going to have a late lunch there but ran out of time ! Too bad because the place has potential, but they need some help.
Second time playing this course. First time was a lot of fun. This time, not so much. We played twilight on Saturday evening and play was SLOOOOWWWWW... way too slow for this time of day. There was no starter or ranger on the course, and I felt as though the pro shop was sending people out without paying any attention to pace of play or tee time reservations. We only played five holes and called it quits. The backup on every hole made for an unhappy time. A ranger or starter interested in doing a good job (the guy in the pro shop was cranky and acting like he couldnt wait for his day to be over) would have solved the problem.
New ownership and a new chef have breathed life into the clubhouse for both restaurant and banquets. People at my luncheon were pleased with their meals and I heard several comments from participants that they had been recently for breakfast and thought it was excellent. Service has also improved and the servers seem happier.
Great course. Harder than the slope rating. Fairways and bunkers a little sub-par in places, but greens in nice shape. Hidden hills and slopes you cant see from the tee makes this a course you will want to play a 2nd time or with a regular who plays here often. Nice clubhouse. Minimal driving range. Expect 5+ hour rounds.

2021-01-22I want to keep this course a secret with how many people have been playing since COVID, but I cant help but sing its praises. Not too long, not too tight, and readable greens (but you have to pay attention). Generally very well maintained and the locals keep a decent pace of play.

2019-09-08Nice course with a fun design. Surrounded by nice homes, which are not too close, and beautiful trees. They currently have the fairways cut way too short, but so does nearly every other golf course nowadays. Definitely a good place to play.

2021-11-05Wife and I did an impromptu trip to Seascape resort. Saw on the resort website they had Stay & play package (Seascape Resort & Seascape GC are separate businesses I believe and its not a golf resort it just happens to be that they have the same name but they are not located in walking distance of each other), but couldnt get a tee time cause we booked our stay so last minute (the stay and play package doesnt give you a discount on tee times, but it does give you a week earlier access to booking a tee time though), but we still stopped by the course to have brunch. We sat on the patio and watched people play. We chatted with staff while we were there and everyone was super friendly. I was talking to the person working the check-in desk and told him how I was hoping to play but couldnt get a tee time. He said he could squeeze me in, but unfortunately I didnt bring my clubs, he offered us rental clubs, and also I was wearing sandals, but it was very nice for him to offer. The course looked very nice and I wanted to come back and play some day. Eventually got a play a few months later. Its a great place to play and a nice hidden gem. my friends and I had a blast. The driving range is very nice and their short game area is even better which also includes a bunker for practice.

2021-09-15This is a nice layout. I went early 7am so pace of play wasnt an issue. Tee boxes and greens were in good shape. Fairways are nice and some are challenging due to slopes. Couple of long par 3s, back 9 is a bit more challenging. Over all for the price I would go again. Senior discount a plus. Staff and ground crews were friendly and knowledgeable they knew when to stop using landscaping equipment.

2021-06-21This place is awesome. Weve being going there once every week for a month during twilight and it is a lot of fun. Staff is super nice and helpful and the cart workers bust their buttons out there. The course is a fun one and well maintained, love the fog too!
