If you love Filipino food, then this is the spot for you. Everything from grill chicken, Jollibee, freshly made Pandesal bread, Filipino restaurant Jochi Resto Grill, and so much more. I feel like there is something for everyone at Seafood City if you like it want to try Filipino food. Jollibee has great chicken 😊.
Everything i need i found it in seafood city of course Im pilipina.all the registered employee are very helpful & nice. Especially the food are good ,I dont know how you call it. A restaurant & all around in that area also the kakanin at pandisal etc... all in all ,Im very please how all the employee so nice to the customer thank you keep the good work.
Valerios bakery and some Asian eateries are located inside the grocery store. Found everything I needed here. The only knock against this place is that the check out line gets long, so be prepared to stand in line for a while. Other than that, ample parking and close to the 805 freeway exit/on-ramp make it convenient to shop at.
For the 4th time within the last 6 months this place sold me bad/expired chicken meat. The quality of their vegetables are hit or miss too. Everytime I try to contact them via telephone you don’t get any answer. It’s really disappointing and frustrating because its a waste of time and money.
I love this place especially since Im Asian. But since this pandemic situation they have issues restocking some items so its a hassle going seafood to seafood city getting my favorite items. But all n all seafood city is a good place to go for your Asian ingredients n snacks.
I am from out of town and searched for their location in Chula Vista, CA. It gave 2 locations, on third ave and orange st. I went to the 3rd ave since it was closer to my location but its not there. So, I went to the next location in Orange St. And found out that it is their new location. Used to be in 3rd ave. They should cancel the old location.
Im really disappointed with the store. I went all the way to Seafood City just to get the spring roll wraps. I thought that a store like that would have them fresh, but when I got home they had mold growing in the middle. Gross! Never again will i buy anything there again.
Great grocery market, their seafood section is above and beyond amazing (what you should expect from the name of it). I love going here. Their food court is a Filipino amusement park. There are so many different types of asian food, you cant go wrong. Then you go into the grocery section, OMG. They have almost every type of stock SPAM you can think of. Different types of rice, noodles, seafood, meat, frozen stuff from overseas. This is one of the best places to go. The bakery in the front of the store has fresh Pan De Sal...get some when you can. Also, lucky place to buy lotto. So glad this is so close to us.
If you cant get to the Philippines and have an urge for authentic Filipino fast food, deli food cooked on the spot, fresh bakery goods baked on the spot, fresh fish and other seafood, Asian veggies and other supplies, then stop by here.As a half Filipino, half Mexican, I have lived the best of both worlds in terms of food and culture and between this store and the Mercado Carnival on 3rd Avenue, you dont have to travel far to eat well. There is even a small eating area in the middle of the food court so you can eat all your treasures on the spot.
Many kinds of fresh fish to choose from every day. A great food court with a little bit of everything to choose from, Filipino foods to american foods. Most of the foods offered are fresh, a nice selection of Filipino and varied asian foods that arent normally found at other grocery stores.
Small and doesnt stock much, a verity of fish cake, I was told by the person who stock the shelf( constantly for over a year), its because of wood used as a flat bottom, but drove to 99 ranch chula vista and clairmont, there shelfs are full, many verities. Not sure why I was told that story, it was the same story everytime. POOR GUY....
Seafood City is the Filipino grocery store, but are now fast becoming the go to grocery for many Asian and Mexican people. They have many stores in US and Canada, four of which are in San Diego County where they started. They have all the ethic food from Asia. They have Grill City where you can try authentic Filipino food, bake shop, burger joint, boba place and much more.
I bought 4 of their fresh tilapia and waited 30 mins to get it cleaned. It looked like they were rushing cleaning it because all of the stomachs were torn up. I washed them and prepped for frying. I fried one, after 10 minutes, the cooking oil turned black. Then it is not getting crunchy. When it’s done, it was too bitter to eat. Come out the “APDO” wasn’t fully taken out or it popped while they’re cleaning it.It is just a waste of money!!!!!
Yesterday on april 11 2020 i went to this branch of seafood city in orange ave chula vista california at 3 pmthere is a long line by the time i get to the entrance the 2 female in front of me doesnt wear mask i thought its mandatory to wear mask . after im done shopping. They let 2 people not wearing mas again i took a picture of this incident. Business like this dont care other peoples.
Looks like new management. Getting better so I give it an ok. Lots of nice employees, a few bad apples. Prior managemet was awful. Bad fish cleaning service. The guy would always mess up my order. In the past they had bad secirity, always thinking I was stealing, stalking me in the store. (Young guy)
Awesome discovery place for authentic asian ingredients. You can also eat there. Main items like sig sig, adobo and street food meat skewers. Theres also ton of fresh bakeries with show pow, padisol and sweet rice cakes (puto). I even found a trendy clothing shop inside called Hong Kong. The far right side. Cute spring asian tops and dresses. Thank you for taking your time to read this. Salamat po.
Customer service i received this weekend was terrible. I was trying to exchange a bag of rice with a bug inside and i was scolded by the supervisor why I waited two weeks to use them. She does not even know that my husband bought two bag of rice and we cannot finish them. This place is terrible and will not be back anymore. Staff has terrible customer service skill.
We went to buy some groceries at Seafood City, Chula Vista. They have lots of good food and drink to buy, but we stuck with our list. We found bok choy (pechay), Vifon soup and brown rice. In particular, brown rice was sold at 15 pound bags for about $13.99. Jasmine rice at 25 pound bags (up to 50 pounds) is also offered, with the 25 pound bag going for $25.99.
What more can anyone say about S.C.S. in San Diego, CA? If you crave eating, cooking, and Filipino hospitality S.C.S. would be the place to go! I also would like to add that Parking is not any easier and will continue to give shoppers longer waiting time to find parking space. Lastly, the price of buying fresh fish has increased in the last few years and soon cleaning and frying ones Talapia is no longer going to be free. I am just kidding but it could happen in the near future?
Love the freshly made turon (banana w/langka) fried w/ brown sugar to crisp. So good. I got some Taho too w/a very good protein drink but contains brown sugar and big balls of tapioca was happy. Got home and continued sweeping leaves from neighbors yard. Rains tomoro but going to McGrath YMCA

2020-09-30I thoroughly enjoyed my shopping experience here. The store is very clean and well organized. The produce looks all grade A quality. The fresh seafood was constantly being iced and rearranged to maintain freshness and visual appeal. The store has a good system in place for checking out customers efficient and moves very quickly even though the line looks long at first.

2019-01-15Its a good place to buy Asian inspired foods. In addition to the great selections, there are also familiar fast foods inside Seafood City, in the food court. There are quite a few to choose from, there is Jollibee, the famous Filipino fast food place, and Red Ribbon bakery, just to make a few.If you enjoy this review, click the like button.

2022-01-20Today 1-20-2022 at 1421 all 5 cashiers have super long line (around 10 to 15 or more people in the lines) and their express line for only 10 items with lotto selling is close, so I went to the manager office and complained about the issue and he said (the manager) sorry we cant grant your request to open the express line. That is unsatisfactory! No wonder your 5 cashiers line are super long and some customers are leaving their items on the side and leaving the store by not doing business with your team. You know every Tuesday and Thursday you have this discount promo for seniors and always all cashers lines are backed up while always your express line is always close. This is very unsatisfactory for your customer service treatment. Please fix this issue as soon as possible or else you will lose valuable customers in the Seafood City of Chula Vista, CA.
