I had a major surgery 2 1/2 months ago. After surgery, I was in Excruciating pain. I waited an hour, 2 separate times, for someone to answer my call and actually come to the room and bring pain meds. This was the absolute worst experience Ive ever had in a hospital. I will never go there as a patient again. A nurse shortage is one thing, but there is NO excuse for this. St. Agnes can count on losing business.
I’m not sure where to begin but since the day I had my baby here in November of last year it was not such a good experience. I knew I should have had my baby at Clovis but I went with what my mom said. I had a repeat cesarean & the anesthesiologist did not medicate me well enough, I was in pain in the beginning felt everything. Once my husband was let into the OR room with me I started to cry more then finally I was put to sleep. I told the doctor & anesthesiologist I can feel everything along with being cut opened it took for my husband to walk into the room for them to put me to sleep. I was so upset & scared then I don’t know what the nurses had done for my baby for the 2 hours after my baby was born. I did not get to do skin skin, my baby did not have a bath while our stay, I had 2 nurses who were really rude it was ridiculous. My stay was horrible. I was hungry & the nurse Tejpreet did not want to get me anything to eat from the cafeteria. She tried saying the cafeteria was closed but it was not, she kept trying to give me that nasty sandwich & bag they provide to the patients but I told her several times I did not like that sandwich & I was so hungry. I was breastfeeding, fully breastfeeding I was hungry so much. I had to wait till breakfast to finally eat. I cried because how hungry I was then this nurse Marilou was just as bad. She complained about the receiving blankets being in the trash when I did not know St. Agnes reused dirty receiving blankets & washed the blankets which is disgusting. I would want my baby using a reused blanket. She then laughed at me when I asked if my baby can go to the nursery room & told me, “Isn’t that why your husband is there with you.” I was so mad about everything, I was told I could have stayed another night but I wanted to just go home. I couldn’t stand being there. Then in March I had kidney stones & had so much pain. I was sent home 2x with morphine pills when I told the doctor I was breastfeeding. They didn’t care. I had so much pain & it was getting worse. I went to Clovis hospital to get help. I was admitted & had to have a nephrostomy tube in because my left kidney was blocked & urine was stuck in my kidney because of the stone. A week I had to be away from my baby who is now gone. Thanks to St Agnes for all my traumatizing experiences. I did not want to even take my baby there but I had to because it was the closest hospital from my home which I’ll regret ever going to this hospital.
Travel nurses, crisis nurses and contract staff beware of this hospital. If you want to hit a new professional low in your life/career, work here and youll experience just that. Theyll lock you into a 3+ month contract and after working hard and getting their COVID numbers down and under control, you will be hit with a mid-contract choice to take a pay cut or leave. Your end date means nothing to them. Integrity is a buzzword here that is preached but apparently is not a core value for those in positions to make these life-changing decisions. What do they care that you risked everything, moved away from your family, showed up daily per your contract and worked mostly short-staffed through the pandemic while they sat in their cozy offices and pretended to care? As a contractor, youre apparently nothing but a number on paper to these people, for them to use and dismiss as they see fit. On the bright side, if you do feel like taking the professional challenge of working here, you will meet some of the most amazing and kind people on your unit, who unfortunately are lorded over by callous people with no integrity and poor moral character.P.S Retention bonuses will not keep great talent under horrible management.
To Saint Agnes, Dr. Zadsalamat, nurse Steve, the staff at outpatient MRI (thank you so much Hugo) and all those who were involved in the care of my wife- A heartfelt thank you. It was truly a privilege interacting with your staff- professionalism and kindness are at times an unfortunate rarity in medicine but you displayed it at a period of time we needed them the most. As a provider, it was a striking experience to have an ill spouse. Thank you for taking care of her.
-Took ambulance to hospital. I knew exactly what was wrong and what tests needed. It took 15 HOURS to get an IV and any pain relief! I was moaning in agony while in the waiting room. I was discharged after 25 hours. I felt I still needed more testing but was done with the facility at this point.-HIPPA violations: Going to the ER waiting room and calling for patients by first and last name.- If I could give 0 stars I would. Ray and Melinda were the only saving grace shedding an positivity on this experience. Melinda asked if other ER visits were like this. Absolutely not. I was visiting from out of town. I have only been to an ER twice in my life and it never took this long to be addressed or cared for.-I was misdiagnosed and given unnecessary medications (I followed up with my specialists to verify).- Delayed results: While there I had tests that they said would take 1-3 days for a result. On day 4 I finally reached out to their Medical Records. They said they would email me my records in 3-5 business days. 6 Days after that I called asking for my information again, they finally emailed me the next day -10 days after I left the facility). How else was I going to know about my test results if I didnt hunt them down? No one was going to follow up with me?- Medical records were misleading. Saying they palpated this, communicated that, the communication occured at this date and time but it was not the actual time of our conversations.-I travel the nation and to work in hospitals. This hospital was a true example of what is wrong with our healthcare in this country. This facility needs many LEAN events! I give grace to the understaffed, overworked, and underpaid nurses.
Too bad that you call and try to find out their Covid policies to be with your LOVED one and get different answers from everyone you talk to. My 96 year old mom was taken there alone bc we were told that you had to have all vaccines including boosters or show a negative test. When my brother called he was told he did not have to have the booster ( after he already had gone to get it) very frustrating as he was transferred to 3 different people to get that answer. Why dont you people know your policies?
I have to warn others about Dr. Ahmad, Shakeel. My grandfather is under his care, and has only been there for about a week. His chances of making it out of the hospital are low, but we requested to leave him on the breathing tube a bit longer. Dr. Ahmad had clear frustration with our decision, and expressed that as his doctor, he will eventually have to make the ethical decision himself. Our family is very kind, so him to respond that way was appalling. This man is in the wrong profession if he thinks speaking to a grieving family like this is at all appropriate. Were removing my grandfather from his care immediately. Beware of doctors like this. I hope he gets removed from his practice.
We always have to. Wait several hours !!! Even with a compound fracture they are not professional in how they handle their patients!!! They are very rude and uncaring!!! We have waited as long as 10 hrs. before we could see a Dr. FORGET THEM!!! CLOVIS COMMUNITY OR FRESNO HEART HOSPITAL ARE ALOT MORE WITH IT THAT WOULD BE OUR CHOICE OF MEDICAL CARE!!!
Dirty and very rude intake women not friendly at all just 1 big mess i cant belive how bad it is today I had a heavy set woman sign me in and so rude really I worked here in 1998 and it was not like this so gross it is 156 pm and today is 3/9/2022 cant belive it. Well Im still here. And watched an argument between tec and pt crazy this place has really lost it nurses playing on phones no work
My grandfather died as a result of their negligence of care, he was released prematurely with no aftercare and one of the nurses even argued with my mom and refused to show her how to use an oxygen tank. He died within an hour of leaving the hospital and we are opening an investigation. Do not trust this hospital.
Went to a dietary consult at the 7202 N Millbrook building. She was not listening to me and stated I was refusing to do anything. Thats a lie. I go in feeling bad about the whole cancer process and now I feel worse. She was incompetent and pathetic for representative St Agnes. Educate your staff to listen and educate them on side affects of chemotherapy.
Took my grandma to the ER due to an obvious heart attack and she had already had two stints put in before. Sat outside with her for an hour or more before anyone came out and got her. Needless to say she died in ICU after a week without being allowed to see any family. Who knows how much damage her heart suffered just sitting out front like she had a sprained ankle. Appalling care.
Dropped my fiancee at emergency and never got any information from any service personnel. Tried calling nurses station no one picked up the phone. They kept him over night, no one called me to give me status. They would not let me visit because of Covid procedure. It would seem at least one phone call to love ones to let them know what is happening to their spouse, etc..Worse hospital ever, and Im a Veteran!
I came for an ultrasound/biopsy…outpatient unit. The admitting RN Susan, was nice and caring and so was the ultrasound technician Mary. But it was my most horrible and worst experience with the doctor(Dr Ng) who did not take time to wait until the numbing solution take effect. He poked the site several times for specimen collection just right after he injected the numbing solution, and it wasn’t numb yet. And to tell you what, I was screaming the whole time! It was so brutal that I felt every time he poke me with the huge needle. This doctor needs to learn about TLC and compassion. If I could only give a negative review, I would. I am not recommending Dr. Ng to anybody, I don’t want you to experience what I did! Every time I have a thought of my experience with him, I feel chills all over my body. It was a nightmare! I wish I could talk to the administrator of the ‘Out Patient Department’. There were several ‘red flags’ and concerns I need to discuss.
I had outpatient surgery on 7/21/21 with Dr. Young. He came and talk to me before my procedure and answered my questions. My entire surgical team was awesome. My surgery started on time. Everyone was super nice. My recovery team was super awesome. Best outpatient patient surgery I have had hear in Fresno. Would have my surgery here again.❤️❤️❤️RN Sandy Salazar///// RN Laura Delonzar///// CRNA Courtney Zakhar/// RN Shayne Serrano//// Anesthesia/// All Outpatient nurses❤️❤️❤️❤️ They team I had was so awesome. I asked for a few names when I was leaving to go home just to give a great review. I had surgery at 10:30am and everyone I had on my team for my surgery on July 21 was so awesome. (((No I am not an employee.)))) This team was so awesome. Please don’t let the bad apples spoil the way you guys gave me care. It’s hard to find good nurses who seem like they want to be there and take care of you. I was introduced to my team in the operating room, as I was wheeled in. They really exceeded my expectations looking at the reviews and other hospitals I have been too here in Fresno. Thank you!
I had right hip surgery 6/21/21 the experience of hospital staff were great . Food was good and taking care of me good. No more groin pain either. Hope to go home today after over night stay and therapy. I no complaints for the care I received. And especially nurse Marissa helping me. I needed my sheets changed instead waiting till morning like one nurse told me. Much appreciated by Marissa. And Dr Knedel thank you .
I went to Saint Agnes and the hospital is so dirty. As I was waiting in the waiting room a nurse came out and placed a paper on the seat without sanitizing it and placed the items to withdraw blood from a patient. This happened in the waiting room. I was there for a total of 10 hours and not once did I see anyone come out to clean or sanitize. I didn’t even talk to a doctor until the end when he came to let me know what he seen. The dr was also like shaking and moving all over the place. He seemed lost. Please don’t go there. I will never go to this hospital again. I’m still not feel well. It was crazy in there. Worst experience ever.
YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES SAINT AGNES! A FAMILY MEMBER IS ON LIFE SUPPORT AND YOU WONT LET THE ONLY OTHER TWO FAMILY MEMBERS IN BECAUSE THEY DONT HAVE THE VACCINE TO SAY THEIR GOODBYES. YOU WONT EVEN OFFER TO GIVE THEM A COVID TEST THAT THEY ARE WILLING TO DO FOR YOU TO GET UP THER. ONE OF YOUR NURSES EVEN SAID TO BRING THE AT HOME TEST TO DO RIGHT INFRONT OF YOU GUYS THAT IT WILL BE ACCEPTED AND YOU LIED! FOR BEING A CATHOLIC HOSPITAL AND PEOPLE OF GOD YOU ARE HYPROCRITES! YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED! SHE DESERVES TO PASS AWAY WITH HER LOVED ONES BY HER SIDE!
I brought my sister into the E.R. for severe stomache pain and vomiting. The floors are disgusting, and weve been in 3 different waiting areas in the past 8 hours and all the floors are sticky or black. A majority of the staff havent been any help at all regarding any questions we had. I promise you there is a better place to bring your loved one for health care than Saint Agnes Medical Center.
Well first off Emergency rooms are never good, but my girlfriend had a colonoscopy in the morning came home and began to complain about pain. Did what the doctors ordered and gave her the ointments and such but the pain kept getting worse. It got to the point where she was curled up in the fetal position and had to be carried to the car and taken to the Er. They took her copay at pretty quickly and then went on to leave her crying in pain in the waiting room for 4 hours and going. Completely unprofessional and careless, not one nurse checking on her but telling me she’d be taken back in 20 minutes, then an hour later telling me the same thing. Your er is a mess, your staff is worthless and you would rather take the money before treatment than to treat her. Thought hospitals and the people who work them treat the patient first. Unless you are in critical condition stay away from this hospital
Unfortunately staff does not care for patient’s rights. My grandma who is in her mid 80’s has cancer and is going through a lot of pain and is unable to move, use the restroom, or anything else on her own she was not given a translator. My family has communicated to the hospital several times since yesterday she needs translation if they can give her a translator because she doesn’t understand what is going on.When we called, the receptionist gave the wrong information about who my grandma’s nurse was and we were having a hard time trying to locate her.Staff also said that they would give her a translator and call us back but she has yet to be given a translator or call us for an update.Staff has been unable to communicate to my grandma. She doesn’t understand how to call a nurse or unable to communicate to health care workers because of language barriers
This hospital employes people who not only judge their patients, but treat them like less than human if theyre in there for anything substance related(even when the patient has been over dosed at a medical facility by a licensed doctor). Theres a reason why the American medical system is ranked so low when compared to other western countries. Having a medical system that only cares about profits and treating people people they deem black sheep of society like garbage, is a big part of the reason. There are so many people in America that purposely dont seek treatment purely because of how the hospital staff will treat them and make them feel about themselves. We just took a family member home from here after days of her being mistreated and talked down to and if theres any choice in the matter for future medical emergencies, we will never be coming here again and I urge anybody who has ever experienced any of the same in general from the American medical system to do the same because if you dont and you go here anyways, youll likely have the same frustrations and be treated just as badly as my family member was and as I have been in the past. Good luck to everybody reading this and stay safe out there.
My husband received wonderful care here for an outpatient surgery. This team of nurses was attentive and caring. Looking at all these reviews we must have got lucky that day! We have zero complaints about the care received while there. My complaint is that they sent us to collections without ever notifying us! I received a letter from a collection agency in the mail yesterday for $950. I called St Agnes Billing Department, she said wed been sent a notice in May, June then July, its now February.... Why did we never receive these!? And why did we never receive a letter warning us of it going to collections?! AND ESPECIALLY WHY did we never receive a phone call to verify we were receiving the bills?!?! They have our contact info! Absolutely unacceptable! Their billing department is severely disappointing.
This hospital is the worst their nirsing staff and head physicians are the rudest there is.. My husband was in the CVICU for 47 days and all the nurses looking after him were so rude and ugly with me they were the rudest they could be with me and they would hang up on me when I would call to check statuses on my husbands conditions they would get mad and tell me not to call when I had specific questions about my husbands health they would cut me off and not answer anything for me until they were ready
Bad experience in ER twice, specially with morning shift no help from them to patient or family members. when they try to know patients status, never call back knowing the patients is diabetic skipped his appetizers for two days still not give them any food when theres no more testing remains.
My bar for Saint Agnes is so low. But you guys managed to set it even lower. I had surgery today, and my attending nurse Lori Hemric from the endoscopy department was so horrible, unattentive and unprofessional, she literally tried to fight me 15 mins after I had woken up surgery and a doctor had to hold her back. I didnt even get properly discharged because this nurse took it upon herself to break hospital protocol. This nurse clearly acts like this all the time how she has a job still is mind boggling. The care here is horrible no doubt you will leave worse then when you came.
My mom had to stay overnight for a surgery, and I stayed in the room with her. My mom’s overnight nurse didn’t leave her number on the chart at first and was late with rounds and medication. The three women trying to set up the continual motion machine seemed to have no idea what they were doing. Nurse’s call alarms were repeatedly left to go on and on until reaching urgent status; at one point I heard a man in a nearby room calling in a weak, distressed voice “someone help” repeatedly. There was a nurse sitting staring at a computer a few feet away from his door. I spoke to her and she finally went in to him. At some point a message over the intercom announced a code grey on another floor. After googling what that meant I thought “Yeah, no wonder.”
NEVER COME HERE!! If possible go to wonderful Clovis Community Hospital. There are not enough words to describe how horrible this emergency room is. There was 10 people in the large waiting area and we were still out there for 5 1/2 hours. I thought maybe the back was packed and that was why. When we got called in back, I counted 4 open beds in the big room and 7 empty beds by the ultrasound waiting room, which is also packed. I asked what the problem was and they said theyre not necessarily packed but they have one nurse. What does that have to do with giving someone a bed and letting then relax while they wait?!!! Absolutely unbelievable! Worst emergency room I have ever seen and I can not believe this is allowed to go on.
My doctor told me Ill be going home on the 3rd day of my visit. But it was a lied, I ended up staying in here for 3 weeks. They told me I have to stay in here because the doctor wouldnt let me go home. I wanted to eat food but was given a small soda and a sandwich for 3 meals a day for 3 f-ing weeks. Who can live with just sandwiches for 3 weeks.
Horrible...!!! walked in approximately 5:30am and probably 4 of us in here and in this time frame Ive seen on individual called back....One guy came in complaining of a chest pain and they have him sitting here waiting over a hour for a EKG.. Also lets not fail to mention this place is a dump!!There is no sense of urgency at this emergency room!!!
They deserve no stars. I was assisted and had several broken bones. The staff not only forgot about me, but were too lazy to get up and find out what was going on. They had me walking place to place to find out what was going on until I walked out and went to a real hospital.
Labor and delivery just pray you don’t get Mika as a nurse or Dr. young as a doctor. Mika the RN let me sit in my own fluids after Dr. young pretty much pressured me in breaking my water. Then after I had an epidural Mika just left me there slouched over and uncomfortable for around 10 hours, I couldn’t feel or move my body for myself so when the night nurse came she was moving me every single hour. Emily is an amazing night nurse and is the only reason I gave 1 star.
Push button if you want to wait 45 minutes to be seen by a nurse when needing urgent assistance while you can hear them laughing, gossiping and having a good time at thier station. All needed meds will be brought 45min to an hour late guaranteed. Nurses snap at you whenever you ask questions, and my absolute favorite is being told by social worker that discharge nurse will call family ...they will not, apparently me in pain on pain meds is who is resposible to relay to family discharge info. Ridiculous!! I will really miss my surgeon he only does surgery at St Agnes I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE AGAIN. I PROMISE YOU ALL THE HORRIBLE REVIEWS POSTED ARE TRUE. DO NOT GO HERE
I had a quadruple bypass done here early November 2019. The staff were absolutely wonderful in the way I was treated. I was made to feel comfortable, treated with the upmost respect, and most importantly staff took the time to actually listen to any concerns I may have had. The housekeeping staff were friendly, respectful and courteous. Even all the volunteers I encountered were the best. Overall I felt very blessed to have the surgical team I had as well as all other care staff! Thank you to everyone!
They sent me to the covid section even though i wasn’t there for that and kept me around patients who had covid. They dont care about your wellbeing and the doctor had an attitude when i was in a great amount of pain and i was asking questions pertaining to my situation. The staff don’t seem to think of you as a real person.
WORST HOSPITAL EVER! They don’t treat their patients like humans. My grandma was there for weeks and eventually was killed due to hospital negligence and a medical error. She was there almost TWO weeks before she got a bath and had to call a family member to ask a nurse to brush her teeth after days of going without. Basic care is not being met. She had bed sores and no one would move her. She complained that she would press the button for help but would see no one for 2-3 hours. Also, because of COVID when she was put on ‘comfort care’ only two people could see her for 15 minutes and that was all. Even if she had lived another week she wouldn’t have had more visitors. They are letting people die in rooms alone. Not checking on patients for hours and hours at a time. It’s absolutely horrendous what they are doing. Then they have the nerve to say they care for people. Unreal. Heartbreaking. Devastating.
They are so negligent with patient care. My mother is currently there due to COVID. The nurse let her sugar level spike to 400, did not give her insulin until hours passed. My mother has had to call us to ask to call the nurse due to the nurse not responding to her call. On top of that the nurse did not know what PRN medication was ordered by the doctor, until we called her to tell her to go check on my mother and give her the needed medication. To make it worse the doctor got upset when we asked him multiple questions about my mothers health and other possible treatment options, telling us she is going to worsen just because its COVID, not willing to run additional or consider other treatment options. We are currently working on this issue before its too late for my mother. DO NOT take your loved ones there.
Im pleased with the Dr Grossmam & Staci Ross for treating me for knee and & hip pain. Explaining the problem Im having after MRI & XRAY done . Next Im see a orthopedic surgeon & hope I get something done to help me. As for the staff at front desks, registrations & tests I didnt have to wait long and they were nice to me. I hope this hospital gets more good reviews
I’m sorry, the intake from the waiting room was insanely inappropriate. From 10 feet away next to the security guard desk in a waiting room full of people I could hear them saying my full name, that I was next, and that I was there for ___, which is an extremely private and sensitive topic. When they called me over, I let them know that I heard my full details. You would think that implies that patients want privacy, right? Well the hint wasn’t taken. In a normal volume they asked extremely private, personal questions with at least one patient in the chair against the wall right next to them, and the guard in his chair. I asked them if they could lower the volume, but at that point it was basically over. Obviously you have to talk in detail at the hospital, but they could have just came up to my waiting room chair and asked the same things in front of everyone. Hellaciously insensitive.
I went due to dehydration caused by constant vomiting at 10 pm. I had to wait until I was in the back to get an IV and nausea medication. Since I was waiting 4 hours afterward, my nausea came back. I asked a nurse if I could get more medication or something to help. She dismissively told me that I had to wait until the doctor. I ended up leaving since I only went to alleviate my dehydration and nausea until the next day to see my primary doctor. They did not help at all. They tired to get me a CAT scan due to my abdominal pain, even though I told them it was due to the constant vomiting. They seem more interested in making money
Came in at 11:30 with extreme stomach pain. Couldnt walk, was nauseous, and it was pretty difficult to breath. They check me in at 11:35. I wait 20 minutes before I am attended by a Health Care staff member (Not a doctor) and they ask me my symptoms. I tell them and they tell me to wait yet again. I wait...Long story short, I hadnt been seen by a doctor until 6 pm and that was only because we told the staff that we were going to leave. Also at which point my stomach was already feeling better, but I was dying of starvation and hadnt had any healthy meal in 6 hours. I honestly felt more dead by the time I got out. If I knew this would have happened, I would have happily stayed home.If it takes about 7 hrs to be seen by a doctor, there is something extremely wrong. Heck, if your situation is more serious, you might be dead before you are even seen.UPDATE: A few years later I had another episode of the same pain which ended up being appendicitis. Thank god I was in a different location where they immediately ran tests on me and did an appendectomy. Had I gone to St Agnes I would have just been ignored for another 8 hours with a possible appendix rupture.
This Hospital was hands down the worst one I have EVER been to. Every nurse I came in contact with was horrible. They were so mean, good at ignoring everyone and their needs. I was there for 12 hours before I got transferred. In those 12 hours, I did not eat once and I asked but nobody brought me anything. I had one cup of water that got re-filled ONCE. I didn’t have any family or anyone with me because I couldn’t. I was puking up black charcoal screaming for help and it took almost 10 minutes for someone to come help me. I would never recommend this hospital. Don’t put yourself or a family member through such a helpless and traumatizing experience.
If you are in need of care for a serious condition, do not go to this hospital. It is literally the Roach Motel. You go in but you dont come out. They actually denied an emergency life-saving medical procedure because the patient had not had a COVID test - at least the PCR which they require. He did have another type of COVID, which was negative, but they would not accept it. This inhuman and should not be tolerated.
5 star Experience at this facility regarding labor and delivery. They took excellent care of my family and I and treated us with humility during this Covid situation. They were extremely accommodating and allowed me to be in the room during the birth of my child where is other hospitals did not allow so because of covid. Special thanks to our nurse Michelle for making my spouse so comfortable during her long and strenuous deliveryFantastic care from nurse Arriel post delivery!
I have a serious health issue which required surgery recently; after some complications and severe pain my surgeon asked me to go to my nearest ER . Worst experience ever. Either the staff needs a refresher on what constitutes a health emergency or they dont give a care. Not to mention the waiting room was perhaps the filthiest id ever seen. it sucks being sick and in pain. it sucks even more when the people who are supposed to help just dont care.
My mom is in the hospital. The follow through and care from the nursing staff is horrible. There was a high need for pain management and when it was time for Medicine there was no staff around, no one answering the phone, and no follow through from anyone you asked for help! The most frustrating and inexcusable situation! Mom had to wait for 2.5 past her time for pain medication due to no follow though from nursing staff. The worst experience ever. BELOW ARE THE ISSUES this this hospital have.No tissue was provide. When asked they never bring it. What hospital has no tissue???Food came late, they left outside for 45 minutes, it was cold.NO water was giving....Really? They can bring water??Machine making noises for 5 hours no one shut it off. Called nurses came by, but no one come back to fix the noises, until and hour later. The nurse by the name Amy shes on the 4th floorIndia people throw stuff on my mom head.she talks very mean to my mom.
I was brought in by ambulance after 6 PM. The ER was very busy. Patients, and staff everywhere. I was seen to in less than 30 min.I was amazed at how quickly the STAFF, Doctors, lab Technicians produced the diagnosis. I had surgery within a few hours. I was in Saint Agnes Hospital for four days. I was well taken care of by everyone i came in contact with. The nurses and other staff always seeing if im doing okay. I was happy the rooms are set up to allow one to choose how warm or cool the room is.I really cannot remember what i ordered, but i know i didnt complain about food, and, yes i would have. I slept well, it was never noisy. All in all, I have to give it a 10 out of 10. Thank you to all the Staff and Drs who were there treating me.👍🌹🙏. 💯✅. All that. Who would have thought gallbladder? I most certainly did not. Thank You St Agnes Hospital Staff.
I give 4 stars to the front line staffs (nurses, NA, PC and HK) are all great trying their best to help make their patients and family comfortable. Its the Dr that just take forever to provide a consultation after a lab work, MRI, or a test. I dont understand why it has to take 48 hrs to learn about the MRI result.
I had my 2nd baby here in march 2020. and the nurses and doctor were absolutely amazing ! So kind and caring. Our nurse Mai was so funny and handled our baby boy with so much love and care ! Definitely will be delivering all my future children here for sure. Thank you Saint Agnes ❤️
This hospital is horrible!!! Poor patient care services!!!!! If I could give zero stars I would. My mom doesnt speak English at all and my sister in law was there to help her move around and translate (make her feel comfortable). Instead, they kicked her out of the room. Literally escorted her out as if shes a criminal by a security guard. When she asked if my mom will be getting a translator, the retarded nurse said NO. How will the nurse communicate with my mother or does that mean my moms patient rights are invalid? She wont understand a thing said to her or explained and the nurses can do whatever they want! Also how can you make a sick person with Kidney infection sit in a wheel chair all night?? I hate how the nurses think they can just refuse and do whatever they feel like. If I can just remember the last nurses name that helped, I meant Rudely helped my mom, I will write her up and send it to St. Agnes corporate, as if they even care!Poor patient care services!!!!! Without my sick mother and other patients no one will have a job at St. Agnes!😠😠😡😡😡🤔🤔
Took my daughter to this hospital on Fri. Her back was hurting, has difficulty breathing, her chest and head was hurting. Nurse took her vitals and sent her back to the waiting room. We waited two hours, only to be told when a bed becomes available shell be seen by a doctor. When I complained that my daughter was having difficulty breathing & needed.to be seen, I was told to wait by the security desk. Maybe they thought I was a threat. My daughter wanted to leave, so we drove to Community Regional Hospital in Fresno...long story short, my daughter was seen by a doctor. Was diagnosed with double pneumonia and a stressed heart and was admitted. Saint Agnes was a joke!
Just went through a baby delivery here. Most of the nurses were good. The resident delivery Doctor great. The doctors suck! All of them in regards to the birth of a baby. Some of the policies/rules are ridiculous! In the future, we would travel for hours, stay in a hotel for days, just to avoid returning to this hospital. Clean, foods prices fair, warmest hospital I have been in.
While an inpatient, everyone was so busy, when I asked for something, their response was, Ill do it right after I finish this. The request never happened. For example, in ER, the RN put cuff on arm & left it. It kept buzzing, and I kept ringing for my nurse. She finally came, yelling DONT BUZZ ME! while she threw my controls on the floor. While admitted the same confusion, no answers, no help. On the 3rd day, feeling a little better and stinky, still in my street clothes, I asked for a night gown and toothbrush!Asked my nurse for 10 hrs. to use the restroom. Same answer. Finally, I said: Whats more important, your charting or your patient? Upon discharge, asked my Dr. why they did not do a CT scan. (I had been in and out of consciousness). He said, Oh, its to expensive. So my doctor ordered one, and the radiologist compared the results to the CT scan I had in the hospital! The whole three days were like that. It was awful. I did report it, they said an investigation would be done. I surely hope for the sake of patients, they get more staff and improvements! When it comes to my mammogram, theres excellent service and care-for ten years now.
They arent even that busy and we have been here for 7 hours. This is probably one of the most unorganized and Inefficient hospital Ive ever been to. The staff is not very friendly if they arent ignoring you they are being rude. They definitely need to find a better way of doing thing the scound waiting room is one of the stupidest things I have ever seen. You should not put an IV drip in a patient and then hang it on extremely dirty walls and in an unsanitary waiting room. If you go here what ever you do dont them to take your temp or blood pressure or you will just leave you sitting. So may patients came and went after and we got stuck there so long all because we asked them to take my temp and then hours later ask how much longer and if my blood work was her. They treated me like I was a nobody!!!!!! I definitely will never go to this hospital again and I really would not recommend this hospital to anyone!!!
This place has no sense of urgency. Even though my visit wasn’t life threating it took hours to receive and pain meds and anti-nausea Med’s. Don’t even get me started on lab results and answers to why I was there.when I approached the nurse station to see what’s going on with results a nurse approached me and said, “your in the ER, things will take forever”. I am a nurse myself and have worked ER before. To have that attitude and mentality is unprofessional and rude. All she could have said is let me check on things. When I finally got a bed the nurse at bedside was fine. She was surprised I didn’t have an IV already. After Iv was placed an fluids started it was 330am. It wasn’t until 650 am before I saw a doctor to tell me they don’t know what wrong. When I was waking out feeling the worst I’ve felt in years one of the NP asked if they found anything which I said no. His remark was “hey at least your not dying” This experience has been one of the worst ER visit I’ve ever had. I would never recommend this hospital.
If i could give them zero stars i would. Worst hospital experience of my life. Husband took me to the ER for possible brain aneurysm. We waited 5.5 hours before even being seen by a nurse. Once the nurse took us back she sat me in a chair and gave me an IV and pain medication. Once the pain meds were given i felt as if i was going to pass out. I told the nurse and her bedside manner was non existent. She smacked her gum and rolled her eyes and told me to just breathe. Once there I was placed in yet another waiting room WITH AN IV! I was so uncomfortable. Sitting in lobby type chairs with min 10 other patients who had even been waiting longer than I was. A nurse rudely came in and said that anyone who wasn’t a patient needed to leave because they don’t have room for them. Thus making many uncomfortable patients wait around without their loved one. Finally i was called back for a CT scan. The machine literally was held together with medical wrap!!! After that i waited an additional 15 mins for someone to “escort” me back to the lobby to wait again. After 7.5 hours I was done waiting. I had my children to get back to. Went to a nurse and requested her to take my IV out because I couldn’t wait any longer in the environment. She kindly did do so. Following day I called medical records for my results. She didn’t have them so she transferred me to radiology. She was confused so she transferred me to the ER nurse. She was extremely rude. Refused to give me my results because I left on my own. I do understand that I left on my own but I still have the rights to my results. 4 days later I’m still fighting for them to give me my results. Even my primary dr was having issues with them giving her the results. I made a profile for their system and they even got my check in information completely wrong. Marked my marriage status incorrectly and didn’t even have my primary drs information. This will affect billing. So they will be sure to continue to hear from me until this is made right. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONALLY DON’t WASTE A SECOND OF YOUR LIFE HERE!
Today I have to give 1 star for what they did. I had a swollen vein in my wrist which caused me to have shortness of breath and eventually almost collapse. I had just enough strength to call them for verbal help and word on if it would be best to come into the hospital and call out of work. They said we cannot give medical advice on the phone. Now I get that every job has its policies but this Ive never heard of. This has built distrust with me and this place and furthermore I wish to avoid all services with this location at every cost, even my life. Its a complete lack of care for those in need outside of the hospital and doesnt care for people/patients. If that is their way of getting people to come into the hospital and pay for a visit, theyre doing it all wrong. Ive called other clinics and hospitals with medical questions before and it was never an issue. Great disappointment! Sorry St. Agnes. I feel you need to start listening more to your patients and give better care.
Hello,I want to thank the infection Control prevention staff At Saint Agnes for their hard work and diligence to stay on top of keeping this community and city as safe as possible from COVID-19; as well as keeping the staff members that are working at Saint Agnes as safe as possible. It is these unsung heroes that work behind the scenes that create an environment in which we can pull forward in these hard times and still have a glimpse of what the future can be after Covid. I especially want to thank Anna Baker for her hard work on the clock and off the clock to help stay on top of current exposures as well as battling new and existing cases. It is with the help of the infection control prevention staff at Saint Agnes that helps Monitor, administer, and plan out accordingly how to properly care for patients who are in need of help during these hard times. This city thanks you heroes of the infection control prevention staff at Saint Agnes.
While I would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff in the ER for their excellent service and compassion while treating my broken leg I must say that the policy of writing a prescription for pain medications, on late night discharges, and instructing the patient to go to the only 24 hour pharmacy in the city to get it filled is a really bad idea. I understand the dangers of opioid abuse and the need to control them but to send someone with a broken leg home and not provide even a few pain medications to get them through the night is a really bad idea. I called the 24 hour pharmacy at 10:00 PM, as soon as I got home from the hospital, only to find they did not have my medication in stock. Needless to say I spent the night in agony and I still have three hours before my pharmacy opens. Someone needs to come up with a different policy so that a patient doesnt have to suffer like this.
My visit was unfortunately for my 2nd tubal pregnancy this year. The long wait was expected, However, the Dr. (When finally seen by one) was very insensitive to the situation with my pregnancy. They ordered me not to eat for over 24 hours, in that time, they offered me no water, or light edible food like jellow.. I was starving while waiting for the Dr to give me my results with what was going on w me and my pregnancy. Finally, we determined a shot needed to clear the baby out of my tubes was needed, the Dr stated he would return w the equipment, only 4 hours later to ask if I was ready to go home. He nearly sent me home without removing the fetus from my tube. Which could have resulted in death had he forgotten. And in between my wait, of almost 15 hrs registered in the hospital, nurses must have only checked on me twice... Point is, this is by far the most terrible experience Ive had in a hospital. As distraught as I am about me having to terminate my pregnancy, I just want to get it over with and get the hell out of here.
I fell and broke my hip and fractured my femur. Ambulance brought me in and I was screaming non stop as loud as I have every screamed in my life. I was in excruciating pain. I came in on Saturday morning at 1130 am. I laid on a bed against a wall until 730am Sunday for them to fix me. Ridiculous!!! During that time I was given so little medication for my pain that I literally screamed the entire time. The nurses messed up my meds daily. Didn’t even bring me a fourth of my daily medication regime. This was the worst hospital experience ever. They really need to overhaul these hospitals in Fresno area and everywhere for that matter.
Spent more than 12+ hours in the ER. During that time, they lost 2 blood samples and 1 urine samples so they couldn’t do anything further. Not only that, no one took initiative to correct it by getting more samples until I notified them that we’ve been waiting for so long. During the last 5 hours of our stay in the ER, they redid everything and it took forever still! All we needed was for the doctor to review the lab results and tell us what it was. Soo many people left and we were still there! If you come to this ER, you just get lost. The nurses’ station was empty 80% of the time that we were there. Worst experience ever!
Came in for an ankle injury. For the most part the staff was really nice. The Doctor & my RN were really nice, helpful, caring, and compassionate. However, when I went in to get x-rays for my ankle, the x-ray technician was very rude, mean, and unprofessional. Also, in addition, the doctor should of given me a boot and crutches for my ankle instead of giving me just an ankle brace. He said it would take about a week to completely heal up but it actually to over a month to get better. After a week, I went to an Urgent care and the nurse practitioner gave me a boot and crutches to walk with. With the boot and crutches, it made it so much easier for me to walk and get around everywhere.
I would love to give this awful chop shop no stars. Since, thats not possible 1 star it is. Please dont let your love one (honestly anyone) come here. Compassion is non-existent and incomptency is apparently the standard of care. Ive experienced nothing but issues with medical staff here. Lazy, entitled and worthless are the adjectives that best describe the staff. Families and patients are treated as a burden/interruption in the staffs big day of socializing and complaining. Also, dont even think about asking questions because then youll get the poor excuse for management in your room threatening you and your family. Honestly, Im so sickened by this despicable place that its ridiculous. Please do not come here!!!! Go to a different hospital where youll actually receive competent medical care. Learn from my familys mistake, our love one will never be the same after the care we received here. And yes, this was just my familys experience but, why chance it?
My dad has been at this hospital 3 times in 3 weeks. Since hes just been readmitted again, I question the efficacy and attention to a very typical bacterial issue (C-Diff). However, their reception staff leave a LOT to be desired. My fathers rooms (both of them) have not had working phones. While trying to reach him after 8 hangups from the nursing station on his first stay, I asked the woman who answered the main line to please find someone I could speak with. I told her that I am in So. California and very worried about my father. Apparently she thought she put me on hold because the next thing I hear is her, mimicking me and saying Yeah, youre so concerned. If youre so concerned about your father, why arent you here? When I asked her name, she gasped and hung up on me. The next woman who answered said she didnt hear a thing. Appropriate professional attitude and behaviour from a Hospital? I think not. Im generously giving them 2 stars but only because hes still alive.
I was brought to emergency room after a fall in Yosemite with fractured scapula and ribs. Since I didnt have visible injuries they tosses me around even though I was screaming with pain when I was sent for the scan as the lady who was doing it was rushing to leave. She was very rude and insensitive. Im not sure why they shipped me off to a different hospital saying they dont have the specialist. I cant believe a hospital cant treat fractures and now Im stuck with bills from two hospitals for unnecessary procedures performed to get the most they can squeeze out of a patientSt Agnes should be responsible for paying all the unnecessary medical expenses incurred due to their incompetence in diagnosing that fractures need trauma center. I was able to walk around and take care of myself on pain meds but they refused to discharge me.
Nurses are unresponsive. My mom called for help and they do not respond promptly. They left her in the bathroom, leaving her to call for them numerous times before they would respond. They didn’t give her her medication when they were supposed to, leaving her crying and calling them repeatedly with no response. The case worker was not communicative about the options for a rehab/physical therapy center. She said she’d check into the options but then didn’t return until we tried to track her down. I would not recommend this hospital.
Saint Agnes ER is a joke! Arrived to the ER at 4pm for a kidney infection and in pain from it. Had to ask 2 different nurses when I will be called after I counted 6 people (maybe more) who arrived after me be called. Finally got called 5 hours later. Waited another few hours to be seen by a doctor. Now during this time I was never hooked up to an IV and I was never offered pain meds. I would think an IV was kinda necessary for someone who has a kidney infection, but I could be wrong. A urine test was taken and the nurse informed me a CT scan needed to be done. waited a few more hours and never got the CT scan, checked myself out. It was 1 am when I left and I still have no clue whats wrong with me. Will visit my doctor and have him admit me. I will never visit Saint Agnes ever again!
I had a very good visit here when I gave birth to my child the Doctors and nurses were so very nice and understanding they gave me the best care. My assigned nurse Victoria helped me get through being scared of going through the process of having my child she gave me comfort and reassurance that I would be okay. There were so many nurses that also made my stay the best and Im greatful for there help. I would definitely have my next child here as well thank you.
To bad theres not a negative star if not that will be it for there service. My brother went there on a Thursday at 4 p.m just to be attended the next day Friday at 8 a.m. Thats 16 hours with out attending him. When it was his time to be attended I was in shock of how many doctors there where, doing nothing. I was outside waiting in the car and saw the same 4 doctors in a span of 6 hours go out and just chat 6 time, once every hour, for a 30 minutes chat. So thats like a 3 hour break not counting there 10 minute walk back. And yes I saw all that, since I had nothing to do for 16 hours. Also the max Wait according to the nurses was 4 hours I would have accepted that, thats reasonable but 16 hours!!!... Ridiculous!!!... My brother was on the floor asked multiple times if they could get him ice chips only once did they did. 16 hours later they released him in less than 20 minutes telling him you have dehydration drink liquids. I think they just wanted to get rid of their patients because he had worse symptoms than dehydration, by 16 hours his real symptoms cooled down a bit. Shame on this hospital. I thought being on the ok side of Fresno is will give good quality service, they dont. And some of the medical assistants mostly all white they dont seem they are there because they love their job, they are there for the money. Only one guy a Hispanic one, was the only one genuinely trying to help people. The only positive thing I saw in those 16 hours.......p.s. According to sources you will get faster help at urgent care, a friend of mine who used to work there told me that, and thats that they only have one doctor there.
My mom was supposed to have a procedure done the other day to get her dialysis tubes thing unclogged at the center where they do it at but her blood pressure was too low so they called for an ambulance and sent her to St. Agnes. Keep In mind that when having surgery, you cant eat or drink after midnight. So my moms appointment was at 8am at that one location, she was in the ER all day until about 8pm and they still said she cant eat or drink. @ 9:00am the next morning she was supposed to have the procedure done, and then was told they were going to move it to the afternoon. She went into a waiting room around 3pm and its almost 7pm, and they still have done anything. And she hasnt eaten anything since 2 days ago.
Short staffed and overwhelmed. Initial assessment was done hastily and didnt bother to gather a lot of my other pertinent medical info(diabetic, how injury occurred, etc). For the most part, staff were kind, professional and as efficient as one could be in those conditions. They actually ran out of room for patients due to the long waits. I saw some patients waiting in the lobby with visitors. Broken ankle took over 12 hours to get in and out. Maybe because its because of the flu season but everyone else thats been here has told of similar experiences. Do not come here by choice and if you go by ambulance demand to be taken else where.
In February of 2016 , I was seen at Saint Agnes Medical Center for kidney stones and I was admitted to the hospital due to the level of pain. The floor nurse (on more than one occasion) provided my family information regarding my condition over the phone without my consent which is a violation of my HIPAA rights. In addition, I laid there in pain for over 24 hours, without being seen by a doctor or provided anything to eat. I continued to ask several nurses when a doctor was going to come see me and what was the plan for my pain. They all told me the doctor will be in soon. An hour later, I asked again where the doctor was and the nurse asked He didnt come see you? she then told me he had already left the floor. Due to the fact that the nurse had provided my medical information to my family without my permission and that I was not seen by a doctor for over 24 hours, and I was still in sever pain, I got out of the bed pulled out my IV and left the hospital. I have been fighting to have them remove two bills from my account, which I feel I should not have to pay due to the lack of service and my HIPAA rights being violated. Saint Agnes sent to collections, which has also caused additional stress. I just spoke to a very rude customer service person MATT in an attempt to resolve this issue. MATT who has zero customer service told me to GET A ATTORNEY I am going to speak to attorney regarding this issue!!!! Its hard to believe a hospital that size would be so negligent. VERY BAD SERVICE!!!
I wish I could give no stars to this hospital. I came here with high hopes and really hoping we got expert and professional medical care for my wife. She is still here as we have waited 6hrs for her to be seen by a doctor! She just got pain meds after being here for 5hrs.I see RNs, Doctors and techs that are chit chatting like they are in high school, Ive heard conversations about their wages, relationships and gossip!!! All this while the patients are being parked like cars in the waiting rooms.I ask about her status and no one seems to know.I WILL NEVER RETURN HERETo the owner, please dont give me your generic response, you clearly are doing nothing to address the issues. This hospital needs a sense of urgency for their patients. The morale is dead here and no one seems to care.
The wait was 9 hours for concerns with Galbadder or possible Ruptured Appendix which is potentially deadly. heart beat was irregular. After immediately about a hour and a half they finally sent me in for a ultrasound, and lab work, The nurse who performed my Ultrasound sent me to wait in a back waiting room full of ill and contagious patients. With my 12 month old son where other patients coughed and displayed signs of the FLU which concerned me. Also the waiting room was filthy trash on the floors, old cotton with patients blood from drawing blood on the floor, it was just not a clean place. To me it is common sense to place non contagious patients away from contagious patients to prevent further medical complications. After about 8 hours son started to cough and we asked to leave and results to be sent to my primary care physician they of course refused. The nursery as well as the doctors here have no empathy or sympathy for there patients. Sucks to say but all die befor I go back to Saint Agnes they are on a different level horrible.
I have never found any hospital to be warm and comfortable however my wife and I have both had surgeries in this hospital and found it to be better than most. The surgery waiting area for loved ones was clean and comfortable. The cafe was almost always open. The bedside manor and the attitude from staff at all levels was warm, friendly and helpful. We would use this hospital again
Well by far the worst hospital to be at. My dad is there for an infection following from a kidney infection. They treated him on the fifth floor then transferred to third next to a pneumonia patient when hes to be isolated, i had to call them for them to realize their mistake. also when i would call i would be treated very rude by some nurses. i feel that he is receiving the poorest care there.
My experience with the staff in the ER was amazing at the time of service. I was suffering from a bacteria that affected my answering any questions put to me. ER doctor Dr. Smith was quick at getting tests run to determine what was going on. A bacteria was running rampant through my system affecting my organs and my ability to understand what was going on. I was having all types of delusions and when they had me in a room 458 I caused the nurses so much trouble because I couldnt comprehend anything and I was seeing so many things that werent there.Thank you Dr. Smith and staff from St. Agnes for being so alert and taking care of me. I went home on April 9, thank you.
This is the absolute worse Hospital in Fresno, Do not come here in less you are physically dying! The wait is agonizing, you literally get called to the back to be put in another waiting room, where you have to wait with a whole bunch of other people who have been waiting for hours already. Then 5 hours later you finally get called to a bed to see a doctor, but wait, you have to wait 3 more hours for the Dr. to examine you, & 3 more hours to discharge ! Absolutely ridiculous! !Get it together Saint. Agnes, you are by far rated the #1 list of worse hospitals rated by Wait, staff, over experience! I will never again take my children or any of my family members to this awful so called Hospital 😠👎👎👎👎😝
I just wanted to say that in this difficult time with covid and this terrible situation that involved me and my wife to have to submit ourselves to this hospital was one of the best decisions we made because the staff of nurses and doctors took care of us properly and accordingly, and I just want to make a shoot out to one nurses in particular her name was Janice not sure what her last name was but this young lady didnt hesitate to take care of me in my terrible condition I was up in room 302-1 thank you so much Janice for your help Gid bless you
Had a horrible experience in the ER Room . Arrived to the E.R. Room at 5:00 p.m. to be seen due to sharp stomach pains . waited till about 10:00 p.m. to finally be seen by the doctor. It was a ridiculous wait just to be seen by a doctor to say that blood work came out fine .Also would like to say that some of the staff there are very rude and seem like they don’t really care about your situation unless your in absolute desperate need . Overall not a good experience.
My mom has been coming for the past 20 years. Fours years ago the service went down. This past two years some nurses and nurses assistant has treated my mom really bad. My mom is 85years old. They have taken advantage of her because she cant stand for herself because shes 85years old. She has been elderly abuse by Saint Agnes hospital. I have been trying to get a hold of the top directors of the hospital but they have it set up where you could only speak to a house manager that only overseas one department. Usually the house manager doesnt do nothing about it. The P.C coordinator Alex that works in the 2nd floor has bully us because we speak Spanish. He gives us the dirty look for no reason while the other patients next to my mom gets a better service from him because they are White. He has given us a hard time for no reason. Right now ,my mom is at the hospital for about 9days and they are killing her little by little because they are constantly making mistakes and also messing up with her food so that she could get weaker and starve to death. The problem is that they keep changing Doctors everyday to see my mom and it seems like every doctor starts from scratch and because of that they keep on changing ideas to help her with her neumonia. The kitchen, Dieticians and nurses dont listen and they dont want to be on the same page and fix the problem. The State should pass a law so that they could overseas the hospital because they are killing my mom and other patients. I cant believe the top directors of the hospital dont do nothing about it to fix the problem.
Brought my wife today around 5:45pm because she had a stroke 7 years ago and they told her to come to the emergency anytime she feels symptoms. Today she felt numb on her left lips, cheek, and close to the eye and the doctor or whoever does the first diagnosis was useless and didnt seem too concerned 😒. So he had us waiting and do blood and urine samples and cat scan. It took 5 hours for a cat scan. We mentioned an injection or something to thin her blood, but no. Still waiting at 10:52pm. They took blood and urine samples around 7pm, but have not heard anything or talked to doctor or nurses. Or and it is hard to find anyone available to ask questions. Finally I had the guts to search for answers and they said we have to WAIT FOR A ROOM to talk to the doctor about the results. Who needs a room? We just need to know what is going on and either give us the boot or the remedy. 😡
I have part of my chest rotting away, and the ER keeps putting off treating me because they would rather not get involved because some quack Dr. messed me up than treat my condition. I needed stitches removed and had a Nurse Practitioner fail to remove them all. I still have stitches in me. Then when my wound started looking worse and I was getting chest pains I went back to have them check what looks like my flesh rotting and never had anyone even look at it in the 5 hours I was there. When I asked the person who was running the ER that day, Stephanie, why no one had even bothered to look at it she said, youre walking, talking, and breathing, yourre fine. What a completely disgusting thing to say as a medical professional to anyone, I mean I guess as long as I can do all three of these things I should never need a Dr, right! ASTOUNDING
Worst experience in an ER Ive ever had, after hours upon hours of waiting, I finally got called back for a kcg, then I was forgotten about in that room for 30 minutes, later I get in the hallway to wait after my urine test got processed, then it took them 4 hours just to call me for my XRAY, after everything was processed I got called to a back room to get discharged and evaluation (this was after hours of waiting after all my tests) then the nurse says Ill be seen shortly. 2 hours go by and not a single doctor comes to see me, but I see 7 other people that got there later then me get in and get out, so apparently chest pains are not cause for concern, but sprained toes are. un organized and uncaring towards patients. The doctor asked me the same questions 5 times, as if he wanted different answers?
Unfortunately St Agnes used to be the best husband but now if you got medical dont come because theyll be sending you home in 3 days top the doctor that helped me was terrible not the one when I first came but the admitting doctor some of the nurses do not want to be bothered you hear the machines going off and people out there the nurses laughing and not coming to see the patients its terrible
The people at the nurses station really dont like to be bothered. I just hit the nurses button and one of the nurses asked if they can help me in the most rude way. She got pretty bothered by me hitting the nurses call button. Cant believe that just happened. Wow!Yesterday when they got me a room after waiting for a few hrs. They send me to a dirty room with a broken bed. I did not feel comfortable. I did not go back in that room. I sat in the hall. Feeling dizzy and light headed with lack of sleep. The nurse asked me if I can walk to her. I got so light headed a fainted hit my head on the floor. I was so embarrassed.
Absolutely useless! Waited in the ER for 7 hours for some jackhole doctor to tell me its just the flu and to essentially get over it. Oh but wait, his family members had it too! Thats soooo helpful. The nurses are nice. The doctor I saw should be stripped of his medical license. They told me something showed up on my ultrasound, made me wait 3 damn hours, terrified. I cant even explain how angry I am. Someone who is in the ER deserves some decent bedside manner. Dont expect that here. Go somewhere else.
Went in with chest pains. Put me in a hospital room. Then they ran a standard battery of tests that they could have run at any outpatient lab such as Quest. Sat in a bed with no doctor seeing me for a day. Then they sent me home with the same chest pains. They billed Medicare for $11,000 for doing practically nothing. The bill was so overcharged that Medicare only paid for part of it. Then they sent me a bill for $1,100 and when I refused to pay that they sent it to collections where it is hurting my credit score.Meanwhile, after being discharged with the same chest pains, because they couldnt find out what was wrong, I went back to my previous cardiologist in San Jose, to promptly took care of me. He told me they failed to do the right tests, and was shocked that they did so little.Another time, I was flown into the ER with a heart attack in 2006. They left me in the ER in a room for an hour without anyone seeing me, while I was still having a heart clot. I couldnt even call for help. Eventually a doctor stopped by. Its lucky I lived through that experience. On another occasion, I went to the ER and waited for five hours, and finally gave up and left. I had to sign out against medical advice, even though I had never been seen by a doctor, and later they billed me for waiting.I vowed never to go back to this hospital again.
2 years ago my mom went into the hospital for a perferated bowel. From the time she entered the er all of the staff was great. She was there for 1 month and issue upon issue started surfacing. Her doctors were on every single one trying to help. They were all very open and informative with my sisters and I. Dr. Cordoba was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! !! Unfortunately there were just too many issues with my mom and we lost he exactly 1 month after she went in. My sisters and I were there everyday with her and even after they put her on comfort care...the Drs were still coming by to check on her and us. I thank each and every one of those drs nurses therapists etc. This is a GREAT hospital
Worse experience Ive ever had in my life in a hospital. Drs were extremely rude, they took forever to see me. I was told I had a stroke, over the phone mind you, i wasn’t good enough to receive my crucial information in person. The Nurse called the Dr., Dr. Edmond, and she handed me the phone and then proceeded to tell me I had a stroke. Disheveled and in shock because prior to this I was told 3 different things. Only 5 minutes later to be told I didn’t have a stroke. The Doctor never apologized. Thank God Im alive, and I still believe I have an ear infection which I begged them to check and still didn’t check. The only plus was the nursing staff who did an amazing job! When asked what hospital you would like to go to.....do not say Saint Agnes!!!
This hospital is Fresnos worst (Ive been to Clovis Community, Fresno Community, Valley Childrens, Kaiser, Lucille Packard, and Oakland Childrens). People still come for treatment because its supposedly a Catholic based Hospital, Obama Care, Welfare, and for some reason senior citizens like it.Negative:1. They line up the Emergency backroom like parked cars (People in wheel chairs).2. The doctors argue or get mad because the other departments are not following orders (Im hearing this right now as Im at St. Agnes. The doctor ordered a hip scan the lab didnt do it).3. The emergency departments drop off parking is horrible. There are concrete barriers that are for stupid drivers, but they can block the passenger side of vehicle. There is are times cars are parked not for unloading, and security is lax.3. There are NO emergency patient parking close to the Emergency (E.R.) Room entrance. If you are in need of an emergency treatment, and you dont have transportation, and an ambulance is not needed, a patient has to park away from the entrance and drag over to the E.R.4. I saw a cockroach in the Emergency back room.5. I work at the welfare building. Waiting at St. Agnes with my 87 year old mom in the ER second back room for results, is like waiting at the welfare building. EXCEPT in the welfare office, security keeps the public under control. Security is weak.Positive:1. They give you some kind of medical care.If the admin of St. Agnes is reading this, compared to the County of Fresno Security, St. Agnes security is laxed, weak and their professional appearance looks bad. Get rid of the beards, BDUs, and long hair. Make sure they are actively patrolling, and keeping family members and patients in check (while waiting with my 88 year old mother who is truly sick), Some patient is playing Michael Jackson loudly. No staff or security (who should be actively patrolling) has told him to lower the cell phone or hid voice from talking out loud about Michael Jackson.
So now we know NEVER to go to this hospital again. Not even worth the one star. My husband and I got very sick with a bad stomach virus that left us both dehydrated in the middle of the night. We went in waited several hours to be seen while throwing up, got hooked up to some IVs, got some nausea meds, and that was the end of it. They said that if needed, we would get another bag of IV fluids. That never happened. On top of waiting for hours in a chair with a bag and needle stuck in our arms, they proceed to charge my husband extra for a second bag of IV fluids that was never hooked up to him!!! He called the billing office to point that out, and it turns out that their policy is to charge however much extra per hour the (empty) IV was attached to the body! Were we supposed to wave to the doctors to take em out after the first hour?!?! This is ridiculous. This hospital is not what it once was. Not to mention how dirty the bathrooms are, at all times. The urine cups are left out for anyone to touch for crying out loud!
The ER in this hospital is a joke. Be prepared to wait in excess of 8 hours. Arrived with my partner at 5:15pm because he was having severe abdominal pains and did not leave the ER till well after 1am. One star is too generous! The front desk does not communicate with whomever is the responsible party in the back. When you ask about the status of your tests, case, or whatever needs you have, they dont know whats going on. Had I known what a terrible experience we would have, we would have chosen a different facility. And to the owner; you can save your standard response to my post because its clearly an empty promise to take these suggestions seriously. Why dont you actually put actions to your words and fix the problems.
Very unhappy with care my mom got while there. To lack of response by doctors to broken English speaking nurse. Very angry no one takes time to speak to patients and listen. I work for a large ortho group out of state and we would never treat patients in this manner.
I wish to post my wholehearted gratitude and indebtedness to the ER Team for their professional, efficient, thorough and caring on Saturday, August 20, 2016, after I suffered a severe leg laceration while backpacking in Sequoia National Forest. After emergency first aid from my fellow hikers, I hiked down trail to our trail head and was driven 65 miles to St. Agnes ER. After registering, I went to Triage and was immediately sent into the inner ER, where a veritable coordinated team did a fantastic job over the next several hours, culminating in a very difficult, expert job of suturing a wound of three levels, carried out by an awesome Nurse Practitioner, Lynda Francis. I am now back in Los Angeles recovering from the trauma, relishing the memory of an incredibly positive experience of St. Agnes ER. God bless you all for the great work you do!
I chose the occupational center as my workmens comp MPN choice. After the first visit, which was rushed, nothing was ordered besides my prescription. I was supposed to have an MRI scheduled and also Physical Therapy scheduled. The follow-up appointment, 2 weeks later, my doctor asked why my symptoms were getting worse and if physical therapy helped. I then proceeded to tell him that no one ever called me to schedule physical therapy. My shooting pain down my back to my left leg, was a red flag for the doctor, and then he asked where my MRI was, and that too, was never ordered. He sent in another order, and asked me to call my adjuster to expedite the approval if possible, and I did so the next day and personally sent the approval to scheduling. Its been close to a whole month, and Im now getting my physical therapy sessions, and my MRI is still not scheduled. My NEXT follow-up appointment is in a week, and Ill have to tell my doctor the same thing about the MRI.Its been a total of 3+ weeks to have something done, and I have nothing to show improvement for my doctor. And all the scheduling has been difficult, and the ones I need to talk to for scheduling, all have accusing tones as if I had done something wrong to mess them up.
I was very disappointed with my visit to Saint Agnes. I arrived in the emergency room with Chest pain that radiated into my back, nausea, vomiting and sweating. I let them know I had prior heart problems and was concerned it was signs of a heart attack. They sat me in the waiting room and took about 45 minuets before hooking me up to an EKG. (fresno community would have got me into an EKG RIGHT AWAY.) Prior to the EKG they continued to tell me it was heartburn. I had to push for an EKG and blood work. There was flesh blood on the floor where they drew my blood and dried blood in the seating area where the doctor meets you. Over all, it was dirty and staff didnt seem to care about helping. I would recommend Fresno community over this place anytime!
I gave a birth to a very healthy boy 9 yrs a go. I still remember the caring and loving of nurses and staffs. Very cleanand neat place. Since We are going to relocate to Palm Springs this year, My son has asked me to visit the hospital. I gave 5 stars. Its a wonderful place.
I have private insurance and have always chosen st agnes hospital for everything. I will need to reconsider now. Services have gone downhill. Imaging takes forever to get called and be done with. Parking sucks really bad especially if you are pregnant and a fall risks. I park across the street and walk from the medical offices off of First Ave to get to the hospital. Valet wait is long with all the abled bodied that can walk far and is waiting to get their cars parked, not considering all the ill or disabled or struggling to walk/health issued people waiting to get their cars parked. There will never be an improvement.
My mother suffered from a significant stroke recently and is currently at St Agenes ICU facility. When she is awake she is aware of her surroundings and understands what is being said, but is trapped in a non-responsive body and can not talk. We are so pleased to see slight improvements each day with the help of th s taffy and our family at her side daily. I know she will not give up if we fight together!I cant say enough about the care the staff (Khun, Zowe, Ruben..etc) is providing her. My apologies for not recalling each of your names who have been so vital to my mothers care, from monitoring her vitals, bathing her, proving RN services..even meticulously maintaining her cleanliness and health with dignity and respect. It broke my heart to have to return home to Texas knowing how much my mother will need me but your constant care and compassion does help ease my mind. She is in for a long recovery just to get to the point of having basic fuctions. (Breathing without assistance, talking, eating, have physical movements.) I understand you have started some therapy sessions and I cant wait to hear the results. The only reason I have not provided 5 stars is based on having received zero communication from the actual doctors and transition consultant. I was in that room daily for 4.5 days for 17 hrs each day. They are advising the only LTAC facility available is in Modesto or LA. If this relocation is the only option I am sure my mothers recovery will suffer as will the health of my step father who has been at her side daily without regard for his existing health complications for 12 hrs each day. Keeping the support network together is such a critical part of a patients recovery. I pray a better option arises in Fresno before she is released to the next level of care so we all can ensure she continues to recover.
My 3 year old was down here in Fresno visiting with her grandparents, ended up falling off the bed, and hitting her head. My Mother in law rushed my daughter in because she was vomiting after she hit her head. Within 30 minutes of arriving here she was in the back in a bed getting her vitals checked. My wife and I headed down to fresno (we live 2 1/2 hours away) to meet my daughter. Within the drive they completed her blood work/processed and had results of her ct scan/ and had an iv set in place. My daughter was treated extremely well and I am very pleased with this hospital. Nurse Jeremy & Russ were excellent in accommodating my daughters ice chip needs and difficulties with checking her vitals. For me, its the kind accommodation that make a lasting impression. Dr.Sameir A Alhadi was excellent in his recommendations over my daughters situation and I really felt a high level of care was exercised during this visit.
April 15, 2019My sister was taken by ambulance to this hospital and placed into ICU for approximately 36 hours.Diagnosis was acute pneumonia, Diabetic ketoacidosis, labored respiration, Hypoxemia.Problems listed: active renal abscess, hypertension, abdominal pain and diabetes mellitus type II.Attending physician: Shuh MD, Steven - Internal Medicine.Admitting physician: Nat MD, Amritpal S - Critical Care Med, Internal Medicine, Pulmonary DiseasePrimary Care Physician: Villalvazo MD, Family PracticeConsults: Gupta MD, Sachin - Oncology-HematologySidhu MD, Gurcharan S electronically signing for the following meds to be given to my sister with the verbal response there was nothing more that could be done for her:Apixaban (Eliquis 5 mg oral tablet)AmLODIPine (amLODIPine 1 mg oral tabletDextromethorphanGuaiFENesin (dextromethorphan-guailFENesin 20 mg-200 mg/10mLoral liquid)Acetaminophen-HYDROcodone (Norco 5 mg-325 mg oral tablet)Insulin glargine LONG-Acting (insulin glargine 100 Unit/mL, subcutaneous solution)Insulin lispro RAPID-Acting (insulin lispro 100 units/mL injectable solution)levoFLOacin (levoFLOXacin 500 mg oral tablet)metoprolol (metoprolol tartrate 50 mg oral tablet)omeprazole (omeprazole 20 mg oral enteric coated capsule)ondansetron (ondansetron 8 mg oral tablet)temazepam (temazepam 15 mg oral capsule)Procedures: Stent; biopsy of lesion of lung 10 days after being admitted to hospital. Results inconclusive as of May 13, 2019. My sister is unable to breathe without oxygen, has mass muscle loss in both legs, chest pain when she coughs, hasn’t eaten a solid meal in 29 days. While in hospital there was no communication between these doctors, the staff ignored calls for assistance and when someone finally did arrive comment was I’m not assigned to this patient. All day long you observed being taken through hallways in gurney for testing ranging from MRI, CT Scan. X-ray, EKG, Biopsy.Following release: she was instructed to have a follow up with her Primary doctor a week later and a follow up wit Oncology-Hematology ddictor 2 weeks later.Primary doctor had no follow-up information from St. Agnes doctors and was surprised to see her in the horrible condition she is in and ordered an X-ray with instructions to return a week later to see him.Oncology-Hematology doctor stumped that he cannot figure out why my sister is in her awful medical condition and is referring her to a Lung Specialist and requesting another biopsy with instructions to return to see him 2 weeks later. My sister’s condition is worsening under the so call care of thes St. Agnes Physicians and all I can do is watch her health deteriorate while she is under there care.In the meantime all these tests, visits, medical devices sent to her home and medications are truly running up medical expenses and for what? If they served as caring physicians the way they are sure to run up her medical expenses my sister would be in great shape, but she is not.
Absolutely horrible. I waited in the ER for hours, and then when I was discharged the Registration Clerk never collected my insurance info. When I brought this up to my nurse she said the Clerk said NO 3 times that I was all done... I knew I had not given my insurance, so i insisted on seeing the Clerk, whe then told me I was lucky that I had sought her out or I would have been billed...Incredible.
This is over due as Im reminded now that my MIL is at the hospital. Nurse in emergency awfully rude, when my gpa was in the hospital. I had one simple question!! How can I dim the light for Gpa who had a bad headache. I DID NOT ask her to come do it!! She acted like she couldnt give me the time of day as she is just greater than thou!! Seriously!! She rudely told me to wait. I waited until her shift was over and she was gone!! Then I figured it out on my own. The next nurse after her was not that awful. Oddly enough, they had the same name (Julie??). The treatment of visitors and patients can be quite ridiculous!! I know this job is stressful but you chose it and the patients pay your salary; be thankful or go do something else!!!!
Nurses were for the most either grossly overworked or inattentive. 1st morning after surgery I asked for my pain med at 8am did NOT get it until after 1PM.My main IV site was positional and looked like a ball of tape, when I asked about it they just strapped more tape on it.Nurse took long time to respond to medical requests from me.Everything from walking in th ER to being put in a room was great, but once in the room and moved to another room was not good.
This ER is a joke!! We arrived at 1030 pm and did not get called back till 1230...we waited for 1 hour before a Dr. or a nurse came in to see us or ask us why we were here...also the nurse had to be told by us to clean his wound before applying the bandage!! It took 2 different nurses to find the vein in order to get blood work!! It is 4:00 and we are still here!! The ER and the waiting room are very dirty...There were several patients not in the correct room and several patients decided to leave without treatment due to the long wait.. The staff try hard to be friendly but after the waiting and the lack of good service, I would drive to Clovis Community even if its further away!!
Had an appointment for my gf at the urgent care at 1 got transferred to ER at 1:40 waited in the waiting room for 2 hours to get called for some blood test then got sent back in the waiting room to wait 3 more hours for an ultrasound and was told the the radiologist has to read them so we were sent back again in the waiting room and it’s 10 rn and we’re still waiting. At 9 a nurse came up to us and told us that they were looking for us earlier which is a lie because we’ve been asking and asking how long more letting them know we are here. After an hour of being told this, still no results. So anyone reading this rn we’re still here waiting for results. We have not disappeared. I watched the lady that checked us in the ER leave finishing her shift.
0 isn’t an option-Very discussed with the ER and whoever reads scans for the ER. Still waiting for an email back!!! So honorable in your care— it should be completely unacceptable that things are Constantly overlooked in this facility. my report has not been updated to state finding in my scans that were overlooked and this is completely Unacceptable.
The wait was 9 hours for concerns with irregular heart beat and heart palpitations. After immediately sending me in for xray, lab work, and ekg I was sent to wait in a back waiting room full of very ill and contagious patients. To me it is common sense to place non contagious patients away from contagious patients to prevent further medical complications. After waiting anxiously for 9 hours I saw a Dr for 5 minutes to tell me they found nothing and refered me to a cardiologist.. here is a bill summary:Diagnostic Services $200.00Diagnostic X-ray $279.00Clinical Laboratory $441.00Professional fee $117.00Emergency Room Fee $4757.00Total $5794.00Insurance paid 5255.00I pay $538.00This is highway robbery if you ask me and dirtiest of buisness practices..
I am finishing a 3 day inpatient stay. I have not had experience here for 16 years, and I am really impressed with the changes. The only bad thing was how uncomfortable the ER chairs were for sick people. Some benefactor should donate money for comfortable seating!I knew the ER wait would be awhile because it was quite full, but all the staff were kind and caring, from the registration staff to the doctor. All introduced selves, were attentive, thorough, explained everything...Same thing with inpatient staff. If I was asleep, they quietly entered my room and did what was necessary. EVERY TIME I PRESSED MY CALL BUTTON SOMEONE ANSWERED IMMEDIATELY. I have never seen this at any hospital, and I work in one. They brought prn meds immediately. An RN found another who had a phone charger I could borrow! (Thats how sick I was; I always have a charger in my purse.) They brought everything from socks to warm blanket to an extra pillowcase for me.Chaplain was VERY helpful and supportive. Sometimes you think you dont need it, but I found it very very helpful. The facility was very clean, and the room temp was perfect. I could walk barefoot to the bathroom and floor felt warm and clean. I usually find hosp rooms cold, and the beds cold but make you sweat because mattresses dont breathe well. This mattress inflates gently in different time, space patterns to keep you from getting pressure sores. I thought the inflation would bother me, but I was in bed a long time, and it was a great feature and did not wake me up or bother me. It was comfortable, and did not make me feel cold and clammy. The food was excellent, and the nutrition staff were great. They came by the room to take my orders for the next few meals. I called in a last minute request one time and they filled it. They made everything exactly the way I wanted it. Unbelievable! More accurate that most restaurants! If you are in hospital, please remember staff cant read your mind, and they are often very busy, so ASK for what you need.I highly recommend St Agnes Hospital.
Over the last couple of years I have watched the steady decline of this hospital. My daughter was just released after 2 days of being under observation and the care she received was terrible. I was starting to wonder if that was the time out floor for nurses because most of them were rude and showed no compassion at all. Its a shame because this used to be a Class A hospital.
Im here right now. I came in via ambulance, into ER. I was treated well and watched as staff really juggled the ER patients with grace and made it all happen.Im in the cardiac unit now and these people working here have been helpful, friendly and just plain generous. Im shocked at any of the negative reviews here as my experience has been quite a contrast to what theyve said.Thank you St. Agnes staff.
5 hrs wait still wasnt seen, waiting room people where helpful, the medical and clerical staff in the back absolutely rude and didnt care , had a clerical worker walking around chewing her gum like a farm animal chews its cud telling me I wasnt a priority , more people with there faces buried in computer screens than helping the people sick and hurt , used to be the best in town now just iike the rest of the hospitals and I see everyone who posts negative feedback gets the same rubber stamp message response how its taken seriously . Left without being seen I got so frustrated
I came in for a simple issue today of pain in my upper right abdomen. I really wanted to just get an ultrasound done and make sure my gallbladder was fine with no gallstones. Anyway an intern was there and poked me where there was no vain when he was trying to draw blood. Then an RN stepped into assist him and decided to draw blood from my wrist instead of the usual place. I wasnt really sure why... I saw clear vains. Anyway she poked me on my wrist and drew blood... It didnt seem to be a problem but when they called me about 2 minutes after to go for an ultrasound I noticed the bandage was coming off and I took a look and went into shock. I had a whopper candy sized blue ball there on my wrist where the women had drawn blood. I immediately went back and was ignored as I was trying to show her the ball. I got her attention finally and she says Thats why You need to apply pressure and goes back to doing what she was doing and brushes me off. I walked to the ultrasound room and broke down crying for several mins. At this point my wrist was in extreme pain and still is now that Im home already. I cant even move that hand. Im so sore. The point is I wasnt a person there today. They could care less about me. I really felt that from a few of them. Like they were numb from the job. The doctor didnt even seem like he knew what was wrong with me after the results came back fine from the ultrasound. I was like do I have a pulled muscle? A hernia? He was like thats probably it?!?! No care just money wasted. Also my discharge papers werent even saying why I came in. Something about how to deal wih my Chest Pain I dont even have chest pain. Unless they are considering my ribs/ abs my chest..
When I was there the provider at triage and the nurse at triage made fun of me because I was wearing and still am wearing a foley catheter with leg bag. Also I couldnt say the abdomen very well and they laughed even harder. I could very well have a kidney infection but do they care no of course not! Theyre to busy with gossip about me and a lot of other people too!
I gave them 1 because I wanted to leave a review after intake me and my wife waiting 7 hours and got no help my baby had pink eye and needed a prescription they made him sleep on a chair I finally made the decision to leave and they acted shocked I requested to be signed out I know he is just another patient. But hes my son as a parent i would die to help him there is no medical integrity or ethics here I checked out took my son to Clovis community and was seen by a doctor who cared and was released with the prescription in under an hour ..I hope this helps someone who needs help dont go there .. p.s if hospital staff or owner reads this dont contact me via e-mail I dont care to talk with you ...
A family member of mine went to this hospital with a medical crisis. her care was appalling and abusive. At one point a 300lb security guard actually hit her and broke her finger! and she is a 58 year old 150lb woman. When I called the police and her attorney about the situation their security said that I had to leave doing that. Then they strapped her to a bed with leg and arm restraints and left her for several hours. They then transferred her without informing her family to a hospital 200 miles from her nearest family member, when we had another bed at a much better hospital near where her family is. if you love your family member do not go to saint Agnes! If you want them to be beaten and abused and sent god knows where or if you get a huge inheritance when they die, then this is definitely the place for you.
Was throwing up for over 24 hours when i came in and after 3 hours of throwing up in the waiting roomThey put an iv in and the tube slipped out so i started bleeding all over and since i was already so weak i ended up just passing out. Then once i woke up they shoved me back out in another waiting room in an upright arm chair with my iv in and throwing up for 2 more hours while i begged them to take it out so i could go home and throw up comfortablySucked
I recently went in the ER for severe back pain and they transferred her upstairs to the OB Triage and the care they provided me was horrible. The doctor on call DR. Golik was horrible she was very unprofessional and talked about me at the nurses station using my full name and I didnt appreciate the comments that she made. My doctor wanted specific test ran and she didnt run them, she tapped on my back and said if that hurt then you would have screamed. If we ever return to that department and shes the doctor on call I will leave. The doctor is supposed to be caring not hurry up and get the patient out of here when there was NO ONE and I mean NO ONE in the OB ER department but 1 other patient
My visit was for spinal issues and nerve pain. Nurses in triage think there doctors. Decide what tests need to be done and so so. Gave details about my symptoms and based on that information decided not to do any tests because my job requires repetitive movements. Don’t get me wrong: Nurses are the backbone of the health-care system, and generally they’re better than doctors at educating patients and providing many types of routine care. But their training is different, and it doesn’t prepare them to do everything doctors do — especially diagnosing less common conditions.
My mom went here to have a breast removed. Do to beast cancer. Thiams hospital treated my mother so go and me. Showed nothing but care and compassion and empathy. We drove 1 hour and a half for her to get her surgery. Very happy we came here Thank you Saint Agnes staff you took goid care of my mom.
This rating is based soley on their billing. Each visit I give my medical cards (I am literally over insured so everything is completely covered), and each time Im sent a bill copy claiming Im not insured. I wait on phone for over an hour each time to have them do what they should have done to begin with...submit their claims/bill to my insurances.Note: Ive been into SAMC no less than five times this year alone for the testing and ER visits for prenatal. I have spent a total of 11 hours of my life that I will never get back in having to deal with this unnecessary stress caused by them. I am already an high risk pregnancy... This is unacceptable!!!Enough is enough! If they cannot get simple billing correct how can I have confidence they will deliver my baby correctly? I will be unregistering today with them and register with Clovis Community just as everyone else has suggested me to do.
My daughter was born October 26, my wife had her here at Saint Agnes. I just want to say, we had the BEST experience ever. From our arrival, labor, birth & exit. Even called us a few days later to see how things were going. 5 star all the way. On behalf of my wife & myself, thank you Saint Agnes Hospital!
All the negative reviews make total sense to me, but not because they are right! Ive been to St. Agnes ER twice, and both times I was seen immediately. But guess, what? I was ACTUALLY in very serious condition! The other day the ER was packed with people who could have gone to an Urgent Care and been easily taken care of. But, no, instead they clog up the ER system with their boo-boos and tummy aches. One girl who was waiting to be seen had her friend with her and they were laughing and cracking up at stuff on their cell phones. REALLY??? Shes probably one of the reviewers that complained she had to wait a long time. A young mom brought her daughter in and her daughter was playing. PLEASE people, there are Urgent Cares all over Fresno. Go to Urgent Care instead of clogging up a critical care ER! There are two just a few blocks away from St. Agnes. For hilarious proof people are clogging up the ER needlessly, compare Andy Cazaress review with Dominick Vances. I cant stop laughing!
My sister wouldnt be here today if it werent for them Dr. So thank you Doctors! On the other hand your nurses suck!! They should take some acting classes on top of what ever other classes they take for being a nurse..You dont have to like your job but at leastAct like it!!..I just had to add this. nurse going into rm telling my sister she had cancer and she was gonna die!! Thank God for the dr. Just leaving telling her everything was looked good...she had the wrong patient ..smh
They are kind and always right in time with service never a like long wait. Ive had really horrible exsperience ssssssss at Community Medical and I will never return there. Their is no comparison to the Kevel of empathy and compassion not only by the staff but even the volunteers. Five stars ...I wish I could give a ten. I always recommend and refer family, friends and strangers go there for treatment. I love Saint Agnes and thank you for so many good experiences.
My aunt was admitted to the Hospital on Saturday, May 26 for difficulty breathing due to low oxygen level. After spending time in the hospital for three days; procedures to diagnose her illness includes Lab, CT Scan, and Ultrasound. Found out she had fluid in her right lung, so the procedure to extract the fluid was done. After this procedure, nurse told my aunt, her son, and me (I visited her at the moment) that due to the infection and having fluid in the lung, the doctor ordered that she must be put in an isolation room incase she may have TB.She was in the isolation (we are still able to visit) for 3 days, the doctor never visited her nor did any test to confirm for TB. While she was in the isolation room, the nurses tries to take some flem for cultures but she could not cough. But non of the other TB testings was done except that the doctors having the assumption that because my aunt was from Southeast Asia, she will likely have the TB (
Regarding for my wife who had ovarian cancer diagnosed in late 2015. Her second surgery was performed at St Agnes and she spent 17 days there and received excellent care from the nursing staff and other employees as well from various medical specialist that work for St Agnes. My wife also had to be taken to the St Agnes Emergency Room by ambulance following 911 calls on two occasions following her surgery and she again received excellent care. She had several blood transfusions performed at St Agnes following her surgery and during her Chemotherapy treatments which was done at cCare.Other medical procedures were done at St Agnes for her and again the treatments and experience was always top level.
No words can express the Worst experience ever. My brother and I waited 9 hours... count em...9HOURS TOTAL only for a dislocated pinkie toe. We went in around 12 midnight and left at 9 am. They were unbearably short staffed, and the only nurses available were either on there phones or on a computer. It felt like a business more than a hospital. Its like they took ten years in between the times they actually attended us. we were ignored. And we would have stayed longer if i didnt have to finally speak up and say we are leaving... which took another hour and a half to check us out. I get that there were other ppl in more need than us, but not enough for us to be waiting that long. Not to mention how unorganized everyone was. Maybe if they didnt space out the job they were suppose to be doing our visit would have been sized down to a few less hours and yall wouldnt be asking 15 million times whats my relationship to the pacient and how old am i. The job seriously would of been done at least half of what we waited for. And that is coming from a skate junkie with his fair share of injuries. Where the heck is my PHD??? I have never felt so neglected in a hospital ever in my life. We felt like to dogs locked and forgotten in a cage. While all the nurse would huddle to a computer laughing and having a jolly good time we were just left out in the cold. By the way all the nurses huddled in a computer like 6 times. What the heck was so funny for them not to attend us??? I never expect a place to treat us like kings but i definitely did not asked to be treated like sh** either. And thats how we felt. We felt like sh**. We came in for a dislocated pinkie toe and came out with insomnia, neglected and cold... really cold. Like violently shivering cold. This place will serve me as an example. Not to mention a soon to be repressed memory of the worse moment of my life. Im just hoping one day they dont come across some yahoo that one day will sue this place to the ground. And to that guy i will root for. May god have mercy on the pacience soul there. Because we didnt.
I wanna express my anger towards this hospital staff nurses doctors and anyone involved with this hospital. My 90 year old grandmother died here and I blame the medical staff for causing her premature death. She had problems but she wasnt treated with any sort of loving care by the nurses. My grandmother went in to saint agnes entrusting her life to this hospital on Feb 5th she felt weak and complained a lot about it when she went there they diagnosed her with low sodium and all they did was give her two huge bags of sodium. that was a mistake couldnt they have raised her sodium another way by giving her two huge bags of sodium they made her get water in her body which she had a problem with I dont know everything about her hospital stay but I feel like my grandmother was treated like a number the staff didnt treat my grandmother like it was their own family member she was just another patient and not important. so in turn she contracted pneumonia which was one of her cause of death. how does my grandmother go from just feeling weak in feb 5th to getting something very dangerous for an elderly person she was very fragile any lil thing could have turned the tables for her and I dont appreciate getting my grandmother worst than she was before she came to the hospital so she stayed for another week and they made her leave the hospital when she had no business leaving because she now had water in her body and was having a hard time breathing. thats the second mistake. then after she came back to the hospital she contracted the flu so now the hospital had caused my grandmother to contract the flu and pneumonia during her stay at the hospital when I saw her feb 18th she was in ICU and had a hard time breathing during her last week on earth a nurse was very mean to her and didnt help her at all she wanted her pillow moved and the nurse ignored her she was gone that sunday because she wasnt treated with any care or loving I believe the hospital could have done a better job at caring for my grandmother I believe they failed her and failed me.
I wish there was a lower score i could give them. By far the WORST hospital ive been too in my life. I understand the wait sometimes but the nurses are the RUDEST people ive ever met in my life. You could be dying right there and they still act like they domt want to help
We need a zero star rating, because thats what Saint Agnes Medical Center deserves, well, mostly their Crazy, crunchy, mean, bipolar Nurses. I have never seen any nurses more less caring than nurses here. Every single one of them, maybe 99.9% if you are lucky!!! I think Nurses and Doctors makes a hospital a great hospital and the higher bosses need to get that through their heads. Teach your nurses to be more caring, present and less judgmental. Dont talk so much negativity about patients!
Brought my husband in for a hip/back injury at 12:30 pm, its 9:45 pm and we are still waiting for the doctor to tell us the results of the test! They only have two doctors on staff and they are seiously short staffed in the ER. This is the worst experience Ive ever had at an ER. When asking how much longer the staff was non sympathetic and stated this is normal. Will never come here again!
Patient care was awful for patient brought to ER for 51/50. They said they dont have psych Drs in the ER. Why even TAKE mental health patients in your ER if you are unable to properly care for them?! Social worker was terrible, patient was kicked out never having seen a psych MD
Left waiting in storage room for 2 hours waiting for my dad to have an outpatient procedure, not knowing a bathroom and the cafeteria was 25 yards down an empty and unlabeled hallway.....Just left there with no communication. I had to call the main number to find out where I was and where a bathroom was. Everyone nice EXCEPT for the guy who took my dad down to the MRI room and left me sitting alone in a storage room!!! UGH!!
I went in ER at 4:30 pm because of injury of being hit by cop car. It was ridiculous amount of waiting and 4 diferent waiting rooms just to get a bed. Anyways I didn’t get out of hospital until 3:30am. I’m not sure it was because I used medical insurance or why but I feel it wasn’t appropriate for them to have me in pain for that much time with swollen knee and fractured fingered. There was a particular rude “dr” named Russ . I am really upset with this experience. Was treated more like a customer than patient.
My elderly grandfather was taken by ambulance to the ER. He had severe side pain upon touch. They ended up diagnosing him with pneumonia. He stayed in the hospital for three days. He would have been released the fist day but THEY HADNT READ THE CT SCAN YET. it took them THREE days to read a CT scan that was dont while in the ER. They claimed that they only have ONE radiologist. I think that was a complete lie. What would have happened if the pain was from a blood clot and he died??? It was awful.
I went to the Saint Agnes Medical Center today unfortunately. I am a very picky person and i strive for excellence in just about every aspect of my life and that includes the hospital I chose to go to. Saint Agnes has leaped above and bend for me today and every time Ive ever been there. The people that work there are very professional and take there jobs very seriously. The cleanliness is immaculate and fresh. I give you 5 STARS!!!!! Saint Agnes! Thankyou!!
Very displeased with St. Agnes doctors and nurses. My father was treated very poorly and I will be following up to make sure this doesnt happen to another family.Doctors treat patients as body parts and blame the other for improper care. If you question them, they blame the specialty physician who in turn places blame on the nurses. Nurses say they are too busy to answer questions and defer to the doctor. If you have a choice, go someplace else!
Nursing staff is not nice and beats around the bush about being seen. Been here for 6 hours just to receive results on an x-ray. Nurses and Doctor stood right outside my room and talked about random things outside of work not being productive at all. But yet its going on more than 6 hours Ive been here and still no results. Wouldnt recommend this place.
Horrible experience at this ER. My mother went in because she needed an ultra sound on her liver. We waited over six hours before we even saw a doctor, the staff was rude and didnt listen to anything I had to say and they ignored us the entire time we were there. I hope i never have to go in myself because I hated the experience there.
32 weeks pregnant and I have been waiting to be seen for more than 4 hours. Came in at 2:30am. Waited 3 hours in the ER waiting room almost got seen by doctor but then they didnt realize my belly was 32 weeks noticeable and when I told them I was also. Then got sent up to get baby monitor and came right back to the same dam place, the ER waiting room! Now I have to get the whole process done all over again. Here I am still waiting and counting the hours Ive been here waiting to be seen. Still havent been seen. What kind of care are they provide for me here?!?!?
I have always had a good experience with SAMC, but this last time was horrible. I went in at 7:30pm and was not seen at all, I finally left at 12am. I was moved from the ED waiting room to a hallway to another waiting room. The ED staff would not allow my friend (who had brought me) to come in the back with me even though they were allowing other visitors in the back. I had a serious cut and needed stitches, I ended up going to urgent care on Monday ( the cut occurred on Sunday night) and was told I shouldve gotten stitches to due the severity of the cut on my hand. The only person that saw me was their registration person to get my billing info. I will not be going back SAMC again.
Worst hospital in fresno. Nurses are rude and inconcierate. Has elder people waiting over 10hrs to just get vitals and get sent back to waiting room. I feel they wait on people to drop dead from waitin to be seen. Nurses in er back office talking bout who the next paramedic the going to srew. So unprofessional. I advise to take a little longer drive and go to clovis community or even fresno community they are always packed too but your not waiting 10hrs or forgotten about!
They forgot my wife was in the ER 4 times. New nurses kept coming in and asking who she was. They clearly have no idea what they are doing. Doctor sent her in for 1 thing and they refuse to run the test. Ran a different test after my wife said she already knew the outcome and it was unrelated. How are you all in business still?
Most disfunctional hospital ever. No communication between nurses and patients, doctors and nurses. Cant get any info about my family member. She was told she was having surgery but then she wasnt scheduled. So she is waiting in limbo for her surgery. I told her to go to Clovis community next time. Really sad how down hill this hospital has gone. I would never recommend this place to anyone!!!!!!
Nurse practitioner and security guard noticed shouting at patients and causing more distress to them. Np donot allow u to go to registration area and told u contaminating. Security guard stated hey go from here and stand other side. Nurse manager stated hey I told u to come to registration area. Very unprofessional people hired by SAMC,, and cause problems to others. Other day, NP told me I would not do even anything on u and go to ur PCP. He stated what u want me to do He did not do his complete head toe assessment and was rushing me to leave. He did one part check not all body systems. Very unsatisfied with NP. I donot know how much they scoring on joint commission survey regarding patient satisfaction which is one of quality measure for any hospital. I noticed NP sneezing on h is hand and touching next patient with same hand and causing more nosocomial infections. May be FLU patient overload is from cross contaminating coz we belong to same neighbourhood and one or two family member go to this hospital. Please drop the feedback in box which is sitting very in front of nursing station. Protect ur rights.Updated on Nov 15, 2018.I would say that it was one time incident and will give the benefit of doubt at my previous experience. Hope to get good customer service agian.
Saint Agnes ER is one of the worst places to be in for patients. They keep patients waiting in the room even though there is no emergency for the doctor. They do this so they can charge the insurance for the hours waiting for the doctors. I think some lawyers need to look into this situation and charge Saint Agnes. Also they need to hire more doctors to do better service. It is time for Saint Agnes hospital to provide better customer service !!!!
This place is a joke! If I could give them negative stars I would! Never go there for anything out patient because they will bill you as in patient and stick you with a huge bill! I went in for a rhogam shot that took 5 minutes for a nurse to give to me. I now owe almost $400 and my insurance paid them $700. No shot costs that much. If I got this done at any other office it would have only costed me at the most $130. I was given false information from Dori in the Financial department about what this would cost me. I was told if it was applied 100% to my deductible that it wouldnt be more than $180. She told me they would bill completely different cpt codes than what they did. Never go here because they will lie to you and fraudulently charge you.
Horrible ER!!! Do not come to this ER! My adult daughter and five other very sick people were treated like absolute crap and made to sit in one herding station after another for 12 hours wait being told they only have two Drs on staff and they were very busy, that there were no beds when there were empty beds that these SICK people could see from the herding station they were in!!!! The nurses closed the curtains so these patients could no longer see the empty beds...... They were so busy nurses and staff were standing around discussing their new cars and vacations they were going on or just came back from and who was dating who and whos workout was the best..... Really??? Good for you but, HELLO, your on shift now!!!!! WORK!!! NO ONE came to even check on these patients for SIX hours and I know for sure that three of these patients were admitted as soon as the morning shift arrived and one of them was my daughter!!!!!! Sick as hell and in a lot of pain!!!! I think they treat people like that because they want you to give up and go somewhere else and I saw quite a few people do just that after labs and xrays were done so the hospital can bill your insurance...... Think about it..... Hey, stupid, Mexico, Canada is a little far to travel for better medical care!!!!! Our medical system is going to hell and THIS is part of the problem!!!! Medical Insurance companies whos profits for the year exceed 2 billion dollars whos patients are DYING because of denied coverage for needed, necessary treatment!!!!! Google Blue Cross of California profits for 2014. Eye opener. Obamacare is post decline and is the least of the problem in our medical system. Do your homework and dont just regurgitate what you hear and read in the media. This Hospital should be shut down and investigated!!!!
My experience at this hospital was horrible I had surgery here for a ovarian torsion the surgeon was very rude when I had questions and concerns ..and so two weeks later after surgery i came back to the hospital Through the ER in pain so the doctor and or male nurse ..gave me a check up and or pap smear but when he entered the room he was very rude and telling me to put my phone away in a tone as if i was a child. told me to open my legs and roughly shoved the speculum up my vagina. As i screamed in pain he continued being rough Mind you i just had surgery ...my thoughts of this experience is this doctor and or male nurse is racist... I wouldnt recommend anyone to this hospital me personally I will not be returning
The worst emergency room in life I ben here for 10 hr nothing . They keep lying to me it’s sad . Fresno community hospital the fast and the care. these people the here the workers don’t care abt the ppl in here in emergency . They all fake for real . Sada part is I was born here and my kids to but .tgey Fresno community hospital. Madera hospital better
My daughter went in because she has a lump on her neck, the nurses are very rude and the doctors are in such a hurry to get you out the door they dont even care to listen to what you are being seen for , Very disappointed in Saint Agnes emergency department and urgent care
My Dr. also sent me there for a specific test and they said I dont care what your DR. said, your not getting it. So go over to the waiting area that may be up to a 15 hour wait. I left. They have removed my $50 pymt, but now continue to bill me.I keep showing them proof it was removed, but they wont stop billing me. This is now harassment. This is effecting my health. Next BBB, Facebook, ...
I thought going to saint agnes would be cool way better then community but i was wrong. Wait time 10 hours just to hear nothing is wrong with me but my allergies so go home and take this claratain and neasl spray and u will feel better why Im coughing up blood and pissing out blood. So Three day later Im getting rushed to Clovis community hospital told them the same thing, and they said I had Pneumonia of left lower lobe due to infections organism and Leukocytosis, unspecified. So you tell me how saint agnes did, cause know I will never go there again I would rather go to community hospital next if I was sick and dying thank you Clovis community hospital
Everytime i call the occupational health center im always on wait for more than 15 minutes and not only that sometimes it doesnt even connect me through. also every time i call its always let me put you on hold. its never how can i help you. been there lots of time and always have a long waiting period when there is no one else in the waiting room. this really makes their services looks bad. if there patients are not getting the right treatment, what is the use of having any type of services there.
Yes, I have been there in November. RIP OFF. it is a business place not a hospital. everybody wants your money. they are very pricey too! i am not trying to organize my thoughts for you. But i will never go there again. if you happen God forbid to get sick and want to be seen. go to an ambulatory surgery. and that is what i am going to do moving forward. i know what they are not pricey and they are better human beings than this saint agnes rip off. i remember i needed to have ultra sound they let a trainee spend almost one hour when the job should not take more than 10 minutes!! she did not even tell me she was a trainee. i have to figure this out myself as she did not know what she was doing. no honesty there. what else do i tell you?!! always ask for itemized bill if you happen to go there and then they send you the bill. ITEMIZED. REMEMBER. so you can see for yourself what is it that they are charging you for. imagine ER room for less than 3 hours costs over 3k!!! they also were trying to push me to stay for outpatient surgery. i rejected and left something not right about these people. oh well. go a head and do research on ambulatory surgy centers around you. call them up and ask them if they can take you in case of an emergency. i am sure they have some mercy and they will be able to help and with less cost than the rip off saint agnes.
I was treated unfair at this hospital the other day. The doctors have no bed side manner anymore, YOu know you would think people have hearts anymore. They made me cry I was so pissed. If I really said what i wanted to do to them, I would probably get charges thrown at me. This was not right. Not everybody wants to use pills and use the system. I intend to make a complaint.
Dont recommend St Agnes Home Health. Family member was to receive wound care from them after being discharged. They waited five days to initiate contact with patient. On sixth day a nurse comes over and states due to family members living arrangement that he cant receive care from St Agnes Home Health. During these six days, the infection has become worse and new open sores have appeared. Family member has NEVER been treated like this by Community Hospitals home health agency or other similar agencies in Fresno/Clovis. Now concerned whether family member will even live. Thanks St Agnes Home Health.
First off, my boyfriend has been here since 3:30 am and it is currently 6:30 am; he hasnt been seen by a doctor, but has had his vitals checked about 30 minutes ago. However, they have this lady in the waiting room and every time someone is about to walk past her she hacks very loudly & spits in her bag, and she was already here when we got here 3 hours ago!!! The staff was very rude, my boyfriend let them know he had a pacemaker and they didnt even care they said oh ok I dont need to know that info. Very rude and pretty pissed off considering he came in at a pain of 10.
This is actually in reference to the other location on Herndon that isnt on Google maps. Absolutely never take your child here. Ive been more than 5 times. They dont know the sex of your child, they dont know why youre there and you will never see an actual doctor ! They dont even seem to keep track of the shots they give.
My father has a broken finger and has laceration. Has been 9 hrs n hes still not been looked at plus hes diabetic n 72 years old. Dont bother showing up... staff dont care. See how they use their power to demand more $$. Love for wellness of mankind I guess not. Yes find others like community. Lawsuit if something happens to him because of lack of responsibility on their services. Hopefully not, God willing.
The best hospital in the valley im visalia CA I was taken to visalia hospital were I almost died my transported me Saint Agnes in Fresno wre they contue save my life from covid I truly love this hospital the one best nurses and doctors so great number one thank you Saint Agnes for saving my life ❤
I was in the ER last night and there 47 people ahead of me...they even came out every 30 minutes to do like an attendance to make sure no left..it was horrible and that security (the heavy one) needs to get a life..hes ultra annoying..they have 8 seats for triage...and when no one is waiting for triage you still cant sit there...like the triage nurse should be fired she is the most rudest person ive ever seen in a hospital..this hospital is a joke and it needs a evaluation of the employees..they need new security...so many sick and hurt children just smush into a tiny waiting room, oh and u can go to the other waiting area but if u miss ur name ur s.o.l. ugh i am so disgusted. worst experience ever...ill be finding another hospital DO NOT GO HERE.
Worst hospital to go to about your baby . The Ob doctors are the worse they don’t have materials to see if your baby is okay , I explained to them I was 5 months and still haven’t seen my baby they assume your baby is okay just because it has a heart beat , they lost my test results just don’t go there for pregnancy!!
I am disappointed! Doctor was not thorough, only cared for his stomach and the rude nurses behind the counter. They are all careless and irresponsible. I will be reporting this evening to the joint commission and the few incidents I witnessed. What happen to patient care??!! Those people have too much pride to apologize and admit that they have made a mistake.
Years ago, after an emergency surgery my wife shared a room with another patient who had nausea. Not a big deal , except my wife was allergic to the anti nausea medication compazine. Why would that matter you ask? My wife wasnt nauseated. Saint Agnes..thats why it mattered. I was at my wifes bedside dosing off in a chair, when the nurse in charge came in to add medication to my wifes iv. I did a double take, then asked her what it was, and she matter of fact said it was compazine. I guess she didnt pay attention to my wifes wrist band stating her allergy to compazine, so I told the nurse and was very upset. She looked at the wrist band like I didnt know what I was talking about, and said oh, yeah, no big deal, this is for the other patient. No big deal??? It could have killed her!!Fast forward to 10/14 and my type 2 diabetes father in law goes in for unrelated causes, and during his stay he was given insulin!! Thats for type 1 diabetes. His medication had always controlled his diabetes. So, if Im on deaths door, Id still rather the ambulance drive an extra 10 minutes and take me to Clovis community.

2022-07-08I don’t even want to rate them 1 stars. This is a horrible hospital!! Everyone either hates their job or is on DRUGS. The black lady nurse ripped my IV and left me like this, as a black women myself she was so mean to me! The ultrasound lady made jokes about my miscarriage saying. “Maybe god was saying the baby wasn’t going to have a nice life” they don’t take nothing serious! It is a joke! I’ll NEVER go there again!! Worst experience of my life!!

2021-10-23Was there from 1:30pm -9:30pm, the wait time was the worst part. Staff was all very friendly so that helped. I had to get X-rays & CT scan after an ATV accident. Make sure you eat before you go since they only have snacks in the vending machine. If something costs 1.25 & you put 2$ in machine it doesn’t give you change back. I was too scared to go outside for fresh air because if they call your name & you can’t hear them they will skip you. Plan on being there all day or night. I thought I’d be there 4-5 hours max. I was wrong & had to make arrangements for my kids. They gave me a muscle relaxer that made me drowsy so I wouldn’t of been able to drive home if I would’ve driven myself there. Make sure your phone is completely charged or bring a charger & money for the vending machine. So just keep all those things in mind before you go.

2022-03-06Had my son at this hospital. The labor and delivery staff were beyond incredible. I had to do two stress tests prior to his birth and they were super thoughtful and supportive. The day of his birth the check in was great, again super thoughtful and supportive. Both night and day shifts both in labor and delivery were amazing. The anesthesiologist who did my epidural was fantastic. The lactation consult was super incredible. Great hospital to have a baby at

2022-03-04My opinion of this hospital has lowered in recent years and it only seems to sink lower still. I know COVID has brought many complications for everyone but one thing that should not be complicated by now is communication.A family member of mine has been in this hospital for less than a week but visitation is not available at the moment. This is understandable and acceptable. What isnt acceptable however is how we are finding out the extra stipulations when it comes to who can visit and how many times that one person can visit. As it stands only person per week is allowed to visit a patient. This was not communicated to the patient or the visitor at first. All that was told to them was that the patient had to be admitted for at least a week before anyone could visit. So after the visitor was cleared to visit the first time they tried to visit another time but they were told then that it is only once a week. All of this information came out in parts and not as a whole. If you are admitting anyone this type of information needs to be conveyed so that there isnt any confusion, especially in a supposedly professional establishment. I searched the site for all of the stipulations as a whole and it only says no visitors allowed along with limited exceptions. There was also a picture of someone holding a sign that says they care for their patients mind, body and SPIRIT. Obviously they do not realize that what helps heal a persons spirit is the visitation of loved ones. Its not all bad here but it could definitely improve.

2022-04-10The rug in the hallway is so dirty and gross. It seems the ER nurses are mostly travelers, which isnt always a bad thing, but trying to find supplies, can be difficult. It does show that the local nurses, dont want to work there. The state mandates a 4:1 ratio, in the ER, but you at least get 5 or more patients. No privacy, patients lined up in the hallway. It seemed a lot of the patients were waiting up to 48 hrs to get a bed, when admitted.

2022-05-21My grandmother was brought here for severe pain. The staff was rude we asked to have at least 1 person to go be with her she’s 92. Stephanie the charge nurse kept talking about Covid guidelines, which I understand. But we are vaccinated and we’re prepared to be with my grandmother for support. Nothing but rude staff rude charge nurse Stephanie . They rushed my grandmother out and discharged her because they say we were flooding their phone lines. No they are just incompetent workers who didn’t wanna do their jobs. They released my grandmother no medicines no pain meds nothing. She was still in pain when they discharged her mind you she had blood all over her clothes, they pulled her IV out not removed PULLED the IV out. Her visit was on a weekend, the whole weekend in pain. 2 days after this horrible ER visit she passed. Incompetent medical staff, rude the attending DR as well. If your there just for a paycheck that’s sad, hint hint you’re probably in the wrong profession. People’s loved ones aren’t being cared for properly. This hospital should be ashamed at some of the staff they employ. Veronica Repp you need to get involved a little more on your nurse’s patient care and phone etiquettcy some are not doing their job. Some people should NOT be employed here. St. Agnes you need to do better! Now preparing to lay my grandmother to rest. I hope no one goes through a horrible experience as my grandmother did. If I could give negative stars I would unfortunately I had to mark 1 in order to right this damn review.

2022-06-22My partner is currently in the ICU, if it werent for the team at St Agnes he would have died because Community hospital didnt diagnose his condition correctly at all. I am extremely grateful for St Agnes for the level of care he is receiving. My only concern is with the visiting hours, I mean really, COVID isnt going to be deterred by vising hours , it could enter between 11-7 just as easily as it would if you allowed people in at any other time, if the carrier were Asymptomatic. Im mean, really, my partner didnt have it when he went in there, but they gave him a COVID test after being there 2 weeks and he sure has it now . But other than that I am appreciative and very grateful.

2022-05-27Well the rest of the hospital was great and I had great Drs the ER was bad. Lack of communication on what tests needed to be done, mixing me up with other people and performing tests I didnt need I was not Nicole with a blood clotting disorder, Im Nicole with an appendix about to rupture. After 12hrs of the wrong tests/orders getting asking every nurse/tech if this was the right tests for abdominal pain, I finally received that accurate and correct tests to diagnose me. I eventually was in the ER in a room with 6-7 other ppl I understand there was not beds and thats fine with I knew from family members working at Clovis and Fresno that they were impacted too. We had a great CNA looking after us and pressuring the nurses to give us out meds after 3 hr of waiting like my COVID test, antibiotics and pain relief. Then after 1:30am he left for the night and from 1:30-7am we all received not much care except for blood cultures and vitals. Around 4a I began to feel pain again and began to ask any tech to get a nurse so I could get pain reliever again I never saw a nurse or Dr enter the room from 130-7am. So after another 3hr of asking 10 times at 7am a new RN came on staff and gave us all our required meds and labs. My covid test was lost twice and that was the only thing keeping me from getting my required surgery. It was the most painful experience and upon asking old staff that worked there that this was not the correct care I was supposed to be receiving. I was in the ER from 12pm to 1130am the next day. Go to Clovis or Fresno community Ive always gotten good care from there felt listened to and supported. I can only feel for the Nicole having her leg swollen up from a blood clotting disorder and being in an emergency situation
