Dont even waste your time here. Quoted almost triple the price for the exact same material here on 3 different metals and were damaged. Ridiculous. Theres other places just up the road at very good prices. Definitely dont need 3 phone answering people either.
Wasnt real happy with the quality of their work. Im a Toolmaker by trade so I know about punching dies. I had them put a 2 hole in a 4x4 plate. Should have been a no brainer. I took them the plate and they mashed the plate with what indicated a very very dull punch set. So they tried bending it back, (this was suppose to be a decorative plate for an instrument). After they hacked that up, they decided to make one from scratch. The hole was slightly oblonged indicating movement either of the die set or punch press. Then when drilling the 4 mounting holes, made it look like a 5 yr. old did the job.

Very helpful and friendly. Lots of scrap and remnants at a cheaper rate. Precut rounds and square plate are often available. Drive through service. I highly recommend.

2022-06-03S & K Steel is the bomb. Ive been to a few places and I have not seen a better selection of what I needed. The staff is polite and extremely helpful. Neighbor, this guy Rocks. Hope I didnt spell his name wrong. If you need metal, they have just about every type. Biggest aluminum selection east of West Sac. Oh and the prices are Ridiculous. They are so reasonable I felt like I was robbing the place.

2022-02-26I will be going back. There were multiple workers in the main building asking me if I needed any help. I was there for getting mostly remnant pieces but the prices were good enough for me. They had more SS than I anticipated but wasnt there for that this time. Thanks S&K!

2021-03-31I picked up an old camping trailer frame for a couple hundred bucks to build up into a flatbed/small car hauler. Knew I needed a lot more steel to make it solid. Dealing with these guys by phone and over email was easy. Prices seem to be identical to what was online, without hundreds extra to ship. Crew there was helpful in getting everything loaded safely. I didnt actually have any fabrication or anything done, so cant speak to that. But as far as buying material they were good

2021-05-03This is a treasure for a home gamer! I always find angle iron, plate, bar and tube scraps for my projects here. Of course they carry full-sized steel too. And they have a bunch of cool equipment that can shape steel like playdoh. Shop and office staff are always friendly. Love this place!

2018-12-14Be very careful!I called to get a price to cut and bend a piece of metal. The gentleman who answered the phone told me $93. To which I was hoping for a cheaper price. When I called back the next day. A young woman answered the phone. I proceeded to ask her about prices for different sizes. When I got back to the original size, she told tm that the price was $150 plus. I told her that the other guy told me $93. She told me that the piece had to be plasma cut and the price is the higher price. The next day I found a piece of metal a lot cheaper and had it cut to size. I called S&K to see if they would bend it for me. A gentleman by the name of Greg told me that if I cut the corners he would bend it for $10 a side. So I cut the corners and brought it back.So true enough Greg wrote me a ticket for $40 for all four sides.They told me to come back in 1 hour. About an hour and a half the young lady called me and told me my piece was ready.When I walked in to pay another guy handed me an invoice for $54 and change.When I questioned it he told me that she quoted me $60 for bending and he was doing me a favor and splitting the difference.I told him that I never got a quote from her for just bending. She quoted me for the whole thing. And then she told me that it had to be plasma cut, which was not true. So after debating back and forth. I paid the $40 and left..... but I just want to say, be careful of this place. Especially the lady because there should not be a $60 and or $20 difference between two people that do the exact same job.My advise, before you give them your name for a quote call back and speak to someone else.

2014-02-14Great place to buy. Fair prices, lots of scrap, very helpful and knowledgeable. I always go there first. If they do not have what I want, I go to Blue Collar Supply. Blue Collar is more expensive, the help is not as knowledgeable as the staff at S and K, and Blue Collar Supply is usually more expensive.
