Had about 300 bucks worth of goods to purchase. Lots of great things. But since only 2 registers were open-on a Saturday- and the line stretched way back to the dressing rooms-I abandoned my full cart and left! This is the 3 rd time weve not purchased what we came for because of the lines and lack of cashiers!
Ok store, the amount of people in li e was rediculus. Line wrapped all the way around store to fitting room. Only 2 checkers. It took forever..
Good variety of household items. The mens clothing section is kinda weak,not enough stock or variety. Womens clothing on the other hand, takes up most the store.Which could make some of us to think;the girls really do like to shop!
I really love shopping here, and I wish that I could give it a better rating, but the last few times Ive gone have been horrible. I was there today and waited in a line for 45 minutes with only 2 registers open. This would have been fine if there werent employees sitting off to the side on their phones! And other employees standing around twiddling their thumbs. I found the staff very unprofessional, rude and unorganized.
Bought a bunch of baby stuff for my daughter that ended up passing away at birth didn’t keep receipt didn’t think I needed it talked to manager on phone was told I’d get my money back from corporate in form of a check. Lies. Getting store credit voucher. Lied and wasted time in line.
I love Ross. I live in a tiny town, too small for the big chains. I always stop at Ross if I find myself in a city. Its a great place to find stylish brand name items at a significant discount.Like most discount retailers, devoted customer service isnt the order of the day. However, the racks are kept pretty organized, so you can see if they have what youre looking for. The store is clean and tidy enough, as are the changing rooms.It does feel rather as if the staffs main responsibility is theft prevention, but they are all very cheerful and friendly within the limits of their assigned tasks.My purchases today included a very nice stainless steel saucepan for $23, and a $90 pair of slacks for $21. Thats why I go there. Fabulous for bedding, towels, kitchenware, shoes, bras...Once I was in a pub in England with three other people (all English) and we laughed to realize that everyone there was dressed in things bought at Ross Stores in both Florida and California. Its habit-forming!
Im impressed! Maybe its C-19, maybe its Maybelline?Actually, I believe its just a well run store. Things were organized, excess stock was well packaged and out of the way. The store was clean and shelves were not torn to pieces.The staff was friendly and I would like to assume they would have been helpful if I had any questions.
This Ross is always pretty neat and clean. They have a wide variety of items at discount prices and the employees are always courteous. Stock is a bit low right now (probably due to Covid)
Since it has been closed due to the COVID-19 I knew they wouldnt be fully stocked but I did find a pair of shorts and capris.
Love Ross but there was a 45 minute wait but Ross did hold my purchase up to midnight .
Decent selection, but limited variety in clothing styles. They sell through their intimates inventory super quickly. Had a very nice assortment of handbags and purses though, all shapes, colors, sizes, and styles were available this trip. Almost always friendly staff, even with a line the ladies that were covering the registers were hustling to keep wait times down. All around good location, great staff, pretty clean facilities, decent selection in most departments, and always a bargain. Gotta love Ross!

Nice store, friendly help. A women and he kid were allowed into your store without a mask. Because she said she had a medical reason. Then stay home. Planned on purchasing items, but had to leave the store before purchasing my items.
Ross in Auburn is doing a great job during this pandemic. They are almost fully stocked and they are keeping everything clean. I am so happy to have them back! They are requesting that everyone wear face masks to enter as well as counting the number of people to keep safe distances between us. Love you guys!

Auburn Ross is seriously one of the best Rosss in Northern California. They always have a great selection in clothes and housewares, rarely do I not find something. Plus Tuesdays seniors get 10% off
Love the discounts and range of products available. Just be wary at the register, I was buying an item marked for $4.00 but when the cashier couldnt find the tag she just guessed, pricing it at $11.00!
Great and welcoming members! The store has been more organized lately which is really helpful and beneficial in purchasing more items; since you can find them better! Pretty Clean. I wish they had more xs-sm dress sizing options and small shoes sizes, not the stores fault. Have a great & organized selections on home goods! Easy to try on clothes, staff is nice in this area.
Its Ross, its a discount store. Sometimes you find great stuff, sometimes you dont. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. I took a star off for the long checkout line when there are unmanned registers. Ross needs more employees!

Its always a treasure hunt at Ross, so you should never go in expecting to find a specific thing.Well... This time I did, and this time I found it! Went in for some dark jeans in my size. I looked through all the section which was labeled my size and found 2 I liked. One didnt have my size on it, but the hold up and check showed different. The other was my size but was low rise. Well the misslabeled pair fit! The other did but they were low rise and decided it wasnt worth 2 bucks more than one that fit just right!Would give this place 5 stars but to be honest there was the usual lack of staff in each department to accommodate the customer messes. Since I have over 12 years retail experience (1 year with Ross), I know this is due to their low budget culture.So the last star would be added if the store had made some sort of balance so it all worked to the customer and stores advantage.
The girl in the fitting room area was VERY rude! I was 12 ft away, I asked her if the restrooms were open and she started to school me on my mask that I had on. It was not all the way up, but covering my nose (the mask was big) I asked her again if the restrooms are open and she said I already said, they..are..closed) Very rude and unprofessional! We ended up leaving, going to the Rocklin Ross where we received excellent customer service AND the restroom was open. Hmmmm, maybe she just didnt like my mask I was wearing. Normally I give Auburn Ross 5 stars on visits, I give her 0 stars but because of her attitude, I gave 3 stars and its because the rest of the workers were pleasant.
We returned a spread and shopped for a different one. When we went to buy the different spread, they wouldnt recognize the senior discount day, Tuesday, that we bought the one we returned today. They couldnt give us a senior discount today, Wednesday. We would have to exchange the new one with the old one at the same time. Their computer wouldnt do it. I think that sucks.
I stopped at Ross on a whim as I needed a couple art supplies for a class Im taking. What a great surprise when I found exactly what I was looking for plus found watercolor paper, 12 sheets for $2.99. At art store I bought 15 sheets for $15.99. WOW am I happy I stopped here. Plus of course I found additional items that I just had to have (did not need though!)
Not enough product in mens dept. several tavks of african american clothing in a town with literally under 1% black population.

Fantastic staff at this location! Open late - 11:30pm most nights. All of the employees I had contact with were helpful, kind, and seemed happy to be there. Almost always have a nice variety and selection of things, great prices. Its a definite stop on most of my trips to Roseville.
Great shopping experience. Name brand clothes and shoes plus art and household items at reduced prices. Ross is a department store with plenty of help with up to 50 0/0 savings. New items daily. Super Gormea kitchen items from pots and pans to knives and handcrafted decorations. A fun experience Always.
Staff is trained poorly to a point where they obviously cant differentiate the professional relationship between customer and employee. Joking around about crude things in front of and attempting with customers. On top of it the Id stood in the line where a woman was doing both returns and checking people out and hadnt know their were two lines. After a woman before me returns her items I get to check out and she sends me all the way back to check out line only to take the next person in the check out line. Really disappointed.
Found great storage trunks, but all the big ones had a broken wheel. It was a bummer.
Very understaffed, seems to be a theme lately. Huge line, only one register with one poor employee working as fast as she can but a huge line building anyway. I literally put my stuff back and left when I saw the line, aint no one got time for that.
This location is far better than others Ive been to. But they still have narrow aisles, things in odd places and unstocked items left out blocking your way. The mens selection is poor. I couldnt find a decent amount of handbags to choose from. The womens shoe selection is small per size also. Not big on accessories. Just small amounts anything considered womens accessories. Such as perfumes, makeup, purses, sunglasses, jewelry or anything similar. There are a lot of home items to choose from. There is a very good selection for most of them. I actually shop there for that rather than clothes or shoes.
I shop early in the am, less crowd. The staff from security to check out was very attentive and accommodating. The store was very organized and its was a relaxing shopping experience.

This store is creepy!!! The associate who checked me out bad-mouthed the people in this town, instead of asking me, if I found everything. The dressing room attendant was odd. I felt like a criminal being interrogated trying to help count my items. It is apparent that theft is a prob in this store, but Ross has chosen to make that more of a customer problem than a corporate issue that can be resolved with more ethos. I will not shop here unless they do the latter.
Its an ok place to shop, as long as you get there before all the Mexicans clear out all the good stuff. I swear they know the restock days an they swarm the store with all their cousins..

I should have known better....seems no matter when I go there theres always an issue with the lack of cashiers. I had three items to purchase and only 4 people ahead of me (ful of items) a person with a return was taken as a priority when I heard the cashier say theres only one cashier. I left my basket at the front door and left. You may ask what time was I there and my response would be that the time doesnt matter. The only time I will go there is when Im desperate and by the way, heaven forbid you want to look at items in the jewelry case! Never browse the womans intimate fashions, unless you enjoy everything falling off the racks. there is Never an employee on the floor to help you or answer any questions. Maybe this is why they have good pricing.....they dont have the overhead of additional employees! Im sure I will return but only as my very last resort.
I often find what Im looking for here and sometimes a little something unexpected and fun. The store is fairly well organized. New stock daily too. Staff is ok, no one slacking, no one excelling either.

This is my local Ross and I always find something there to fit into my vintage wardrobe. However, Im knocking off a star because when there are long lines there is only ever 1-2 registers open. Insane, especially when its a weekend.
The store has a lot of great clothes and theyre never out of stock in anything. Its clean and well kept. Definitely the best Ross Ive ever been to.
Great prices and merchandise! The miserable lady who works loss prevention was so rude and nasty. I spent over $200 to be followed and looked at like I stole something, should have returned it all after the checker rang it up.
Always nice to browse and I can usually snag a good deal. Bathrooms are unreliable (often closed) so if you are browsing for a long while you may have to go to Safeway to use a restroom.
This place has some good finds, but unfortunately, the atmosphere of Prison, outweighs those. You feel as if you did something wrong and are a bad person. Its not enough that you are greeted with a security guard with Loss Prevention on their vest immediately upon entering the store, but then they snap at you to put your things on the hook in the dressing room and pat them down and count prefusely.... Then the same again when you come out! Im halfway waiting for them to pat me down too.. Strip search maybe? Its really bad. They need to go about it a different way, rather than intimidating their customers. I dont feel good shopping there.

This Ross is so understaffed its ridiculous. Lines are too long & stuff piled up everywhere. You can tell the staff are doing the best they can, but theres only so much they can handle. Wont return to this store again.
They have all kinds of things there. The prices are way cheaper than department stores. They have some very unique finds. Easy in and out. Cashiers were quick.

Every Ross has catered to the local climate. Auburn Ross has great winter clothing. Earlier than other valley stores.
The cashier was great security and other workers made me feel uncomfortable, I was in there a while but spent over $300 once they seen buy everything they stopped following me around, I had my work clothes on, this Ross was in auburn Cali alot of rich people live there, I guess they didnt think I had money because of my clothes and Im a director in a hospital for 20 years
Lines for checking out are way to long. Especially when there isnt a rider cart for disabled people like me!

The manager here is incredibly rude. The lines are so long. The hardly have any registers open. They hardly ever update their merchandise and their prices have gone up a ton recently.

2022-01-24All I can say about Ross is good stuff within to find. I love the stuff they have for coffee stuff for like coffee area . I have a coffee area at work and at home. And they have it. They also have polite employees and good security. They also have good stuff for like for household stuff. I recommend if you need something to look good in your house I recommend Ross

2021-11-30Each time I have visited this particular location, the selection of items to choose from is amazing! This store always seems to have so much to choose from and I will always spend money here regardless. The wait time to check out wasnt too bad, as it seemed typical to all of the Ross locations that I have been to. If I lived closer to this store, I would be there every week to see what new things they had available.

2021-10-22Great one stop shopping clothes, pets, household items galore, Makeup, shoes, bedding. Furniture, electronics, jewelry, home deco, seasonal items, yard tools& deco, candy, treats, candela, bath towels, sheets, comforters, rugs, artwork and more and everything in the store has a killer discounted prices.. check it out... One thing to note there are lots of stores around some Ross are better stocked than others

2021-12-11I get my shampoo, the prices are great and you can find healthy hair products, I get my shampoo and conditioner made with coconut and castor oil which helps your hair grow.

2022-01-03They have some decent clothes and shampoo work tools, grooming supplies , a wide variety its basically the only place you can get clothes in this town , been coming here consistently for 2 years now mind you I spend at least 50$ everytime I come and come basically once a week and last night I had come in to get some winter clothes for work , and the store was empty so they decide its a good idea to start stalking me around the store the security lady starts pretending too organize shoes while these two hideous middle aged men follow me around from the clothes to the tools too the shampoo and facial wash section he literally come right behind me every 20 seconds after I leave to a different isle and the security lady talks to them on the walkie talkie as Im paying and the same guy walks up too me again even at the register its hilarious bc the security lady is pretending to organize shoes and when she see me turn around she immidietly drops whats shes doing and moves closer some very ugly people here Ive met a lot of nasty people in this honky town and how they harass complete strangers is really a sign of pathetic and miserable human beings .Oh and ps the ugly man with glasses and a horrible energy you can feel just walking by him literally stand there staring at me with his hand in his pockets as Im documenting this on my phone staring right at me not moving God these people remind me of parasites.

2021-09-20This Ross is usually a good one for quick, last minute gifts, a new outfit, household items, shoes, accessories etc.. Their customer service is great. That is important to have now a days. This store is also conveniently next to a Safeway so you can shop at ROSS and do some grocery shopping if you needed to and check off 2 tasks off your shopping list. 😃👍
