After using the same dentist for the past decade I recently switched to Tod at Rio Del Mar Dental and I am very happy that I did! The office is clean and I love the vibe and decor. The equipment is all so modern and new which made my exam and cleaning quick and painless. All of the staff are very friendly and my dental hygienist was quick, thorough and gentle. I also did the in office teeth whitening with the take-home kit and LOVED IT! Ill be seeing Tod and his crew twice a year for my cleanings and whitening touch-ups, and my husband just switched to him too.
Doesnt look like much from the outside, but....The inside is clean, new-ish and has modern equipment. Dentist and staff personable.
The entire staff at Rio Del Mar Dental is amazing. Friendly right from the start and make you feel like family. I have had oral surgery in the past so I am always a little nervous before a cleaning, but Tod was so calming and really made me feel at ease. The hygienist ( I forget her name) was gentle and asked me a lot of questions. The time went by rather quickly.
I have been a patient at Rio Del Mar Dental for about 3 years now. I have to say that I have been so impressed with the whole experience. Dr. Anderson in my opinion is the best dentist in Santa Cruz County. Not only is his office using the latest technology, but I also appreciate his honesty and integrity, something that means a lot to me and my family. The entire office staff are super friendly, always making you feel comfortable and their Massage chairs also do wonders to help you relax. I highly recommend Rio Del Mar Dental and Dr. Anderson who is not only a excellent dentist but also a great guy.
Best Dentist in the Country! I have been to several in the Monterey Bay and other states. Dr Anderson is thorough and doesnt settle until his work is done to perfection. I am extremely happy with his work and recommend him to friends family and On Next Door! I feel grateful to have access to high quality dental services without having to travel to Santa Clara Valley or Monterey. We have a hidden jewel right here in Aptos and I am happy to speak to anyone considering his services.
Lisa is great but not super stoked to pay $73 for some stranger to come look in my mouth for less than 5 minutes. No clue who the dude even is. Didnt see that coming.

I have been seeing Tod Anderson for several years and they have always been a great team. Tod fixed a old crown that I have been dealing with for several years. It was old and discolored, Tod was able to get me a new one and my smile is from ear to ear! I have seen several Dentists over the years and all others ignored it. His concern was my benefit and appreciate the time and care he took. Wonderful Dentist and staff. Highly recommend to everyone!
Dr Anderson is a great dentist. His office is up to date with all the modern technology that makes me feel assured. And he has a laid back personality puts me at ease. I would recommend him to all my friends in the area. Plus his location is just off the highway making it easy to get there.

He messed up my crown so a year later I needed a root canal on same tooth. Insurance company found his work at fault. He is a nice guy but I would not go to him again.

2022-02-17Rio Del Mar Dental was excellent! They were professional, thorough and gentle. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist when I walked in and was taken back with the dental hygienist who took the digital x-rays and was thorough in her explanations. After the x-rays, she cleaned my teeth and had a soothing voice when delivering instructions to me. The Dr had a nice disposition and seemed friendly. He was thorough in his examination and also, was gentle in his touch. I was very impressed.I can highly recommend Rio Del Mar dentistry. I know Im going back!

2021-11-05I have been a patient in this office since before Dr. Anderson took over the practice. I have always felt comfortable and well taken care of. Everyone from the front office staff, hygienists and both dentists are friendly and professional. When I have needed to be referred to other dental specialists, I have found this office to be helpful in assisting to get insurance and general information to the other practice. I trust them with my dental health.

2021-10-14I haven’t been to the dentist in years and I had so much anxiety and fear about going. I went to Rio Del Mar Dental today and everyone I encountered was so kind! They were encouraging and understanding of my fears. I felt extremely comfortable with them and honestly can say that I enjoyed my experience. I am telling everyone I know to go there. I scheduled my visit 6 months from now and am looking forward to it!

2021-09-23Today, Dr. Tod did a GREAT job cutting out an old crown and filling 2 cavities. I mean, you know, its always hard when these procedures happen . . . cuz . . . youre reclined in a chair, theyre in your face, your mouth is wide open, theyre pulling your cheek back to get inside, etc. [not to mention that HUGE needle the dr. sticks into your gums to numb you out!!]. So, its kinda a difficult situation to start with! But, Dr. Tod always told me to let him know if I needed anything thing or if there was pain [luckily not!!]. He was very efficient with his work - actually quicker than I expected - and even though there were high speed drills cutting into my teeth, I didnt feel any pain!! Thats the best!! And, the dental assistant was wonderful too!! very pleasant, knowledgeable and answered lots of questions! If you need a high quality dentist who cares about you - you now know where to go!!!
