The staff was accommodating for our eight day stay after my daughters surgery. They assisted in providing plenty of ice for my daughters ice machine that needed to be changed every 4 hours for 7 days. Unfortunately, there were no handicap accessible rooms during our stay and they put us on the 5th floor! I was told they were limited in suite availability for the week. It was really difficult for a college athlete who was heavily medicated and non weight bearing in need of crutches and a wheel chair. We had to purchase a shower chair, a toilet seat raiser and bars to accommodate her needs. Parking was limited and luckily the staff allowed us to utilize the handicap stall. We had a note from the MD, but was not able to get the handicap placard until we returned home to Nevada. My family is originally from CA. I lived and worked in Pasadena, so it was nice to be close to all the shops and restaurants I used to frequent when I was a resident. I just wish I could have been accommodated a little better as a Marriott Bonvoy member with a handicap accessible room to avoid purchasing all the medical equipment. My week was already expensive with the surgical costs, travel, food and hotel accommodations.
This was my first stay at the Residence Inn in this location. It was a sort of audition. I was looking for a place where I could feel like I lived in Pasadena for a few days and night. It was terrific. Short walk to the Metro station and to Ralphs, close to Old Town restaurants and shops, and a Smart and Final right on the other side of the freeway. Great room, nice kitchen. The sofa could be more comfortable, but thats a quibble.
Horrible customer service. My family and I booked a two night stay. The employee went to the car to “verify” the number of people staying which was very awkward to me. The air conditioner didn’t work properly, I had several flea bites and they refused to clean my room stating that they only cleaned the rooms every seven days. They only give you towels and sheets to change the beds yourself. I put my trash outside my door at 9am it wasn’t taken until a little after 5pm the same day. When I expressed my concerns to the front desk Janet was very rude and hung up in my face. The manager Jackie was not of any help.
Very nice. Full kitchen for extended stay. Staff very accommodating. Free parking. Pool and hot tub on 2nd floor terrace. As well as a 20ft x 20 ft chess board with 3ft high pieces. Nice sitting areas. Close walking distance to downtown Pasadena. Laundry facilities available with coin operated machines
Over the last 60 days I have spent 25 nights in the Residence Inn Pasadena. My experience has been very poor. Of those 25 nights the room air conditioning didnt work for 10 of them and the room was a sweatbox at night. The excuse was that they were waiting for a part. However, these 10 days were over a three week period and I was in three different rooms. All three rooms somehow had bad air conditioners that needed parts. So, I dont believe the excuse. Finally, on my last stay we arrived at our 4pm check in time and were told that our room was not ready because they were finishing up cleaning it and that it would be ready in 5 or 10 minutes. We got the 5 or 10 minute prediction every time we asked. We sat in the lobby for 2 HOURS until our room was ready. I cant believe that cleaning one room takes two hours. Then, when we finally got it there was hair on the carpet and the shower didnt drain. So much for cleaning. I fixed the shower myself by removing a huge hairball. The net result is that I think that I was constantly lied to by the staff about the air conditioner status, the room cleaning status, and everything else. We wont be going back.
Overall facility is great. Early check in and out was great. However, there is no recognition to the Platinum member when I check in. I was not asked any welcome gift or mileage when I check in. I am not sure if it is ResidenceInn regulation or because I used the free night. I registered four persons, but there is no bedding for the sofa bed and only have two persons towels. It was very good that we could do check-in early and out late. The hotel is great and clean. I hope to visit again.
The staff at the Residence Inn, Pasadena put in great effort to ensure our stay be excellent. And it was. We were able to visit, have dinner with our son who we hadnt seen for over a year. The hotel was very clean, everyone was friendly and so accomodating. The pool area was lovely. The Residence Inn, Pasadena is far superior than staying at some rental property.
We were looking for a place that would take our small dog and visit our daughter in Pasadena. Our original motel wanted $40 a night and we were staying for 6 nights. After calling around in our car, we got a room at the Residence Inn and it turned out to be perfect. Our family could use the nice patio area in the evenings and we ended up staying an extra 3 nights.
Overall stay was nice, good breakfast food options, room and public areas cleanliness, good fitness room, nice friendly staff . In my opinion the hotel just needs to put in place a more strict pool terrace hours of operations policy avoiding people gathering around the pool and the fire pit from 10 pm on, otherwise other customers will see their rest being disturbed.
My stay here was what I anticipated it would be. The quality of the facility was good. The building isnt old and the room amenities are nice. The parking fee is not welcome, but not unexpected in a city like Pasadena. The front office staff were gracious and helpful. My only gripe is that the coffee isnt as good as I would like (but I am a bit of a coffee snob).
A lovely hotel with everything you need. Bed was very comfortable and I loved the friendly environment. The one negative is I called to request housekeeping and was told they would be in my room the next day, which was absolutely fine. However, I was then informed the next day that I was not put on the schedule and would have to wait. I then informed them that I would need it to be in the afternoon as that day I needed the room in the morning. Housekeeping showed up on the third day at 9 am. I rushed to get out of the room and stayed out so they could clean but 4 hours later they hadnt come back. Had to call again and leave again so my room could be cleaned three days after my initial request. Covid times can be difficult but it was more than that. Once again I do recommend the stay just be on top of housekeeping!
Good fortune certainly smiled on us this past weekend. My wife of 46 years and I had an existing reservation at another competing hotel with which we were familiar from nearly 7 years ago. Our onboard gps guidance, however, delivered us to the parking lot of your hotel, i.e. The Residence Inn by Marriott. We readily realized our mistake, and we also realized that we were in a far more elegant environment than the hotel for which we had a reservation. We quickly canceled our reservation at the other inferior hotel and Janet at your front desk welcomed us with uncommon professionalism, and panache. She got us a suite that was oh so lovely, and it made for a stay we will never forget. Suite 539, a corner location with a spectacular view and plenty of space to roam and or do other things :-). We have christened that suite, The Honeymoon Suite. (See pic of the beautiful night view from our suite)Thanks again Janet... You are a rock star. And if Marriott hires more employees like you, they are going to have to at least double their expansion efforts to accommodate the demand.
Made an effort to switch housekeeping schedule to help me check in early. The staff was attentive and polite. Facilities clean and welcoming. The bathroom upgrades here are lovely; I liked the shower very much. I was there one night as a wedding guest and the no-hassle stay was exactly what I needed. all good. Highly recommended.
The room was extremely clean, fresh-smelling, and comfortable and offered many items of convenience. We appreciated the large refrigerator and in-room coffee. The room layout was very practical and enjoyable. The hot breakfast was delicious with excellent options. My only request would be that they offer a cocktail hour in the lobby every evening. The hotel is located in a spot that is a convenient walking distance from many shops and restaurants. This is one of the nicest Marriott properties we have ever stayed at and highly recommend it to all. I would be very comfortable staying there on a long-term basis if necessary.
I stayed here a few years ago back when everything was normal and really enjoyed my stay. Not too much has changed this time around expect for a few things.Breakfast lol its a joke but they tried I guess. Its the same box of strange food combinations for a week and then I believe they rotate it out. We stayed Tuesday through Sunday and didnt receive a different breakfast box until Sunday. No pool or gym of course but the terrace is open to relax. The most annoying thing, I had no idea about, the fridge is set to the off setting which I didnt realize until it was too late. Im pregnant and couldnt eat the food we had in the fridge because it had been room temperature overnight at that point. We enjoy being able to cook for a long trip away this is why we choose the RI.This hotel is walking distance to everything and since youre already paying $22 to park a day might as well park and walk around. Its also quite noisy! Had to ask to be moved to an inner room which they did no problem and it was better but could still hear through the walls and ceilings. Nothing someone living in a city wouldnt understand.Everything felt clean. There were santizing wipes available for use. Asked for room service no one ever came by. The app to request items worked occasionally someone would come bring requested items. But a call to the front desk always did the trick.Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful whenever we interacted. Would stay again after Covid.
Stayed here over Memorial Weekend. First off, the room was SO clean; I carry a black light to check the bed. Very nicely laid out. The shower was wonderful, great pressure and the bath products are lovely. Front desk personnel were polite and friendly. Parking was plentiful. The hotel is withing walking distance of many food choices. Our stay included a free breakfast and this is the only place they could improve. The food was fine but the floor was ridiculously sticky with many guests making comments. It would also be nice if the refrigerated items were not at floor level. And finally, please have someone cleaning the tables during the rush.
A very beautiful hotel in old town Pasadena. Very clean with nice spacious rooms, foyer with fireplace, and big patio. Welcome was rather stilted and cold, however. Didnt feel like they really wanted us to stay there. No acknowledgement that we were Bonvoy members with benefits.
The suites are nice, and cozy. Comes with a small dinner tray table in front of the couch in case you dont want to eat at the bar or desk. The beds are very comfortable. Good mattress, although the blanket/comforter on top is a little thin. There is a big outdoor pool, with a hot tub on the second floor. There is a fairly good sized gym on the second floor as well. Every night at 6:30 they have free beer/snacks, and a free breakfast every morning from 6-9. The hotel has its own parking garage underneath the building, so you do not have to worry about where you will park. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and helpful.
A one night stay. For this brand, this hotel had multiple qualities of a five star luxury brand hotel: Extremely well run with very professional and courteous staff. Very efficient check in. Very easy in/out, on-site parking. Immaculate and nicely appointed room. Oversized flat screen tv with an easy to work remote. Everything worked well. Had interior room - complete silence at night. Very quiet air conditioning that worked great. Very soft, comfortable bedding. Bathroom was immaculate and great shower. I had low expectations. My experience was shockingly great for this level and brand of lodging.
I will never book with Residence Inn Los Angeles Pasadena/Old Town again! I booked a room on June 24 for July 2-6 and cancelled the reservation due to unforeseen complications. I cancelled on Sunday, June 27, and was charged the full amount for a room I have not stayed in ($990-$1,000). Between June 27-30, my husband and I called them once a day to talk to the manager (which we reached only once) and all Jamie (manager) could say was either she couldn’t make that decision or told us via proxy of another employee was that she couldn’t help us! A cancellation fee is understandable, but this is not! Also, when my husband asked them about their cancellation policy they told him that in the case of cancelling a reservation that has multiple days they only charge for one day, but completely back tracked when he told them his name and reservation number. I would report them to the BBB, but they aren’t even affiliated with them and I now know why. I am extremely unsatisfied with Residence Inn Los Angeles Pasadena/Old Town and have since given this over to my credit card company to dispute. Marriott, work on your cancellation policy double standards and Jamie, work on your customer service relations (you still haven’t called me back and I was told the latest I would get a personal call from the manager was June 29th).
Staffs have good attitude, during my stay, the glass ware shattered on the electric stove, the clean process was swift and thorough, the glass ware is not same as those glass Corning pot used in my house, and cannot endure high tempture. Which is my fault. The inner surface of both saucepan and pot have been damaged. Not sure whether its still healthy. But the hotel sent personell to change for me real quick!Room is clean, mattress comfortable to my taste. Pillows are too soft though. No integrated light control switch, you have to turn them off one by one manually before went to bed.Bathroom clean, the toilet is excellent, swift flush without water splashing to outside. They seems using the same type around this areas Residence Inns. And same as the other Residence Inn in Lax airport, they put the shower control knob on the opposite side of wall, which is good we can avoid cold shower water before hot water reach down. But since the shower head is fixed, its also hard to clean soap attached on control knob, and difficult to clean the far end floor in shower cell.
Im still at this residence inn and I definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Not only did I not have air conditioning for several days in California hot weather. Water has been leaking into my room from the vent for several days and noone has come to fix it. The carpet is wet and has been wet for days and noone has made an attempt to even do anything about it. I’m highly disappointed in my stay and I will be checking out soon.
Visiting this hotel for the first time was a very enjoyable experience. The hotel is just a few blocks from the main downtown shopping and restaurant area. Entering and exiting was quite easy and the lobby, pool area is quite nice. My room on the 4th floor was very spacious with a large desk. full kitchen with dishes and all utensils. The bath area was quite large with nice decore. The bed was very comfortable and the multiple lighting options were much appreciated. Overall a nice, relaxing stay. The staff are very professional and quite accommodating.
What a pleasant stay we had at the Residence Inn Los Angeles Pasadena/Old Town! We were coming in from the Sequoia and before that San Francisco, so we wanted a nice place to rest our heads and recharge before heading home to Phoenix. From the moment we entered the lobby, until checking out the next day it was an extremely pleasant stay. The rooms are lovely, very well equipped and extremely clean. We had the Studio with sleeper sofa which offered everything we needed for a family of three. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and the bathroom was heaven! I’ve never had a more enjoyable shower in my life! Between buildings there’s an outdoor dining and lounging areas. I think had we stayed longer than one night, we would have enjoyed that space. Although we didn’t take a plunge in the pool, it did look inviting. They offer free breakfast, which is adequate and well received. If you’re driving, they have underground parking that you will pay for, but the charge is reasonable and secure. They offer laundry facilities which was also convenient and very appreciated. The Residence Inn Los Angeles Pasadena is right next to the heart of Old Town Pasadena so its close walking distance to shopping, dining, entertainment, and the Norton Simon Art Museum. Simply wonderful stay!
I cannot say enough good things about this property. Amenities, shopping, dining, are within walking distance. Decor and ambiance of the hotel is wonderful. Staff is pleasant and accommodating. Parking on the premises is tight for large SUVs, but there are plenty of spaces in the underground parking facility. If there were cameras monitoring the parking garage I didnt notice them, and Id like to know that security is there. I would have liked to have an omelette instead of just eggs for breakfast during my 5 day stay, but the overall variety of options that are available for breakfast is good.
My family and I arrived for a 4-day conference and our original reservations fell thru (Not Marriott) and we were stranded with no room. We had to get something for that night and the next hotel was even worse...Well, I happened on this Marriott location with no hope that a room was even available - but there was. My 3 boys, husband and I moved in and got our first night of excellent sleep! The staff was incredible, kind and reassuring. The room was clean, bright, beautiful and had everything we needed to have meals, TV time and the best rest imaginable. We were able to work at the conference, then come to a home and enjoy time together. You cant ask for more than that. The breakfast was excellent, great food, huge selection. I just cant say enough about this facility and the incredible people that make it so wonderful. Thank you Residence Inn Marriott. You made a customer for life.
Our stay at Residence Inn in Old Town Pasadena was a delightful change from other hotel experiences where something was always missing. The staff was friendly and extremely competent even calling my room to check when housekeeping might be scheduled after noting our Do not disturb sign on the door. The breakfast was good, and the mixer was a nice treat. What I enjoyed most was the lovely courtyard with the giant chess, ping pong, pool, fire pit, and lots of comfy conversation corners. Very clean and in a location convenient to many shops within walking distance. Would definitely book again while in Pasadena.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Residence Inn Los Angeles Pasadena/Old Town. I arrived on my birthday to find a wonderful gift bag in my room from my wife and the hotel. The hotel staff shopped for us for free and provided a gift card. All we paid for were the groceries. The room was modern, spacious and clean. The staff were all quite friendly and helpful. The drive to JPL each morning was a breeze, taking only about 10 - 12 minutes.
The Residence Inn is pricy offers a kitchen, but there are no markets anywhere around.. the bed is a rock and the pillows are bags of fluff making it nearly impossible to sleep. The suit is is nice but for the price of one night’s stay the could have bought a mattress that you could have slept on
The Residence Inn, Pasadena, is a wonderful hotel. The rooms were updated and provided comfortable living space. The kitchen was great and had everything you need. The bed was amazingly comfortable. The room was very quiet - no noise. The pool and outside area were well laid out and provided an opportunity to relax. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was perfect - you could walk to lots of shops and restaurants.
We stayed at this hotel for 1 night to attend a concert a the Rose Bowl. The hotel is a nice walk to the rose bowl. Pasadena is a great location especially if you want to avoid downtown LA or driving anywhere near that crazy traffic which was what we were trying to do. It is easy access to the freeway and close to shops and dining. Once you get there you dont have to drive anywhere else, which was what we were looking for. The hotel is nice. The breakfast is sufficient. We stayed in a king suite room which was modern, clean, bright and spacious. It had a sitting area and kitchen area where theres plenty of space to work and cook a light meal or heat up some leftovers. The shower in this room was the best part about the whole room. I would highly recommend for you to stay here if youre looking for a place in area.
Even though this hotel is located in a nice part of town, and is a bit expensive, I would still say it exceeds the expectations that you might have for hotels in this area. Far better than your typical residence in, the staff are friendly, well accommodating, and helpful. There are events each night that include beer, food, and appetizers/desserts. The rooms are modern, up to date, and clean, as well as having much better quality things like mattresses and showers than you would normally find in hotels. Highly recommend.
We were warmly welcomed at the main desk by the Residence Inn staff. My brother had made rate arrangements as part of his wedding accommodation and the staff was very helpful. We were checked in to room #330 and found the room to be very clean and comfortable. We originally had booked the room for 3 nights, but elected to add an additional night due to the long drive back up the coast and the staff was again very accommodating for this. The breakfast each morning was fresh and filling. Thank you for an excellent stay and for the friendly and courteous staff.
Overall good stay, stayed during COVID and I think normally it’s a better place to stay. Breakfast doesn’t make any sense (energy bar, an overdue orange & small yoghurt for 9 days straight is horrible). Staff is friendly, studio is spacious & looks good but only get cleaned/new towels after 3 days (and the smell in the room is a bit funny).
Hotel is in a great location. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Parking entrance and exit are horrible due to poor construction. it is very hard to maneuver. The rooms are clean, the bathrooms are the best.Howerver, the kitchenette fans do not serve the purpose.Every time entering the room the grease smell from all over the hotel hits your face. It is very unpleasant since guests sleep in the same space. Nice big fridge, enough dishes for a family of 4.Marriott need to definitely work on the ventilation and parking .
Stayed here with my family consisting of my Hubby and two boys, one infant and two year old. I was very happy with our stay here. The hotel appearance is very nice as it should be since it is a newly built building. I love the modern vibe it has. All the staff members were really friendly. We got the one bedroom King Suite and it was more than enough room for all of us. It was relaxing to have lots of space and be able to lounge on the couch..which was really comfy btw. I requested in our reservation a crib or playpen to be set up for our baby; it was already set up in our room upon arrival. A kitchen was the main thing I was looking for in our hotel stay and the kitchen in our room was beautiful. The kitchen is completely set up for all your dinnerware needs. I love the daily Residence Inn Mix..where here we get free food and drinks. During our stay we had some great complimentary chicken sandwiches and beer. The complimentary morning breakfast was delicious as well, and it wasnt just pastries either, had ample amount of protein selections such as eggs and sausage. Walking distance to Old Town Pasadena. It was nice being able to walk from the hotel with the kids in their strollers. Highly recommend staying here, We will definitely be back.
Hotels can be hit or miss. This hotel was a total home run for me. From the minute you walk in your greeted by happy friendly people. Your room is neat clean and comfortable. Housekeeping is practically on call if you need more towels or room service. They have a social hour, complimentary wine and beer and a nice way to say hello without going out into town. Parking was great and secure. Bed was so comfy I lay down for a minute to watch the news and woke 2 hours later.
We booked a 2 bedroom unit. They didnt reserve one, lied that it was ready when we called ahead, and then informed us it was unavailable only once we showed up. They claimed our unit would be available the next day, which was another lie. They offered smaller separate rooms (worthless for our family) and to refund the difference in cost to them (but less than what it was worth to us).So theyre overbooking you; you are not reserving a room. If they claim to have your room ready, ask them its room number before risking covid exposure. There are other hotels in the area, so it would be unwise to commit to this one since they cant commit to you. Their profits from overbooking are more important than your familys safety.
The Residence Inn was a just a great hotel. The staff was always pleasant and ready to serve. The hotel is clean and modern. The room is outstanding - roomy, clean and very modern. In the room is a kitchen setup - stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher and sink (with garage disposal). There is complimentary coffee within the room. The free breakfast is also great - something for everyone. The eating area is fairly large - we stayed for seven days and never had a problem finding a table for four. The location is convenient - just two blocks from Colorado Blvd. There are dozens of restaurants to choose from - Asian, Mexican, Spanish, American, etc. Highly recommend this hotel for business and/or pleasure.
Nice clean and quiet place to stay. If youre ever near the Pasadena area. Stay here. Great parking lot downstairs. And good security measures in place. It has a fantastic 2nd story outside lounge. Complete with a pool, fire pit, BBQ pits, and family areas. Whats great is hidden from the street. Love this place.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Its perfectly located to eateries and shopping like the Cheesecake Factory and Anthropologie respectively. They dont have a restaurant so eateries within walking distance is a plus. The continental breakfast is just ok. Nothing special - plus the eggs were really runny. I stuck to coffee and Chobani yogurt. The Monday night mixer is a very nice touch. You can have as much wine and beer as youd like, plus the BBQ chicken quesadilla was delicious. I loved the fact that I could take the stairs to the second floor from the lobby (its the little things). The studio was spacious and clean. And the bed was comfortable. I loved the huge shower and although the sink in the bathroom had a bit of a funky smell when the water was running, it wasnt too overt. LOVED the smart TV. Was able to watch Netflix (you need an active account/email to sign in) and YouTube. The entrance to the parking garage could be bigger. The turn is tight for SUVs. Its better situated for compact cars. Overall I would stay here again and again. Was WAY better than my stay at the Courtyard across the street.
This is a good hotel with excellent rooms and friendly staff. I have stayed here a couple of times. I noticed that they have been on a cost cutting mission. They took out lotion and other small accessories from bathrooms and provide them only if you ask. The shampoo and bodywash are terrible. Also no free water bottles. Beverages (including water bottle) from store near reception are $5 each. Detergent for laundry is like $4 and each load costs $3 for was and $3 for drying. This is very expensive compared to similar hotels.
This is a great place to stay if your vacation involves kids. The kitchen area is awesome -- there is a full refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, stove top, utensils and bar area. Its great for extended stays. The. hotel even has a laundry room. Having a suite is vital to us as we travel with our 9 year old and we enjoy not having to share a bed or TV with her. The breakfast is top notch - lots of choices. My only complaint is that I wish the breakfast hours were 60-90 minutes longer to allow guests to sleep in and relax in the mornings.
The overall stay was great. Room cleanness for the 3 nights was excellent! Our first breakfast was excellent, second and third were OK. Not the same as our first one. Same with receptionist service. First day was great. We has problems with our keys and had to ask for them to be replaced and receptionist seemed irritated on second and third day. We asked a few questions on directions, but receptionist was not familiar with the area.
Needed a place to stay over the Holidays - absolutely loved it. The rooms were spacious and updated. The hotel is also pet friendly and our dog loved it as well. We will definitely make this our home away from home in the future when visiting our daughter and her family.
Great place. Elevators are slow but not a problem if your on the 1st or 2nd floor. Very clean. Integral parking ramp so car access is great. Breakfast is a bit above the standard hotel breakfast (a mix of 3 hot dishes). Happy hour every night. Best of all, however, is the service. EVERYBODY at the front desk is very accommodating, especially Joker. I wont stay anywhere else if in the Pasadena area.
We absolutely loved our stay for five nights at the Residence Inn Pasadena. The staff are amazing, friendly helpful and accommodating in every way. It was beautifully clean, modern, and such a convenient location to Old Town. Breakfast was fantastic as well, many evenings with special events, happy hour, dinners, etc. Which were also complimentary. Loved it and hope to go back!
Really pleasant and very clean rooms. but the things that make this place a great place to stay are the staff. Everyone here (housekeeping, front-desk, kitchen, maintenance, managers, etc.) are incredibly helpful and generous with making sure that your stay is a pleasant one and they really care. I left and came back to this hotel again when I had choices from others one in the vicinity.
We have stayed here, or our relatives have, numerous times and considering the reasonable pricepoint this hotel offers the best accommodations and amenities anywhere around. How can you beat free & fast WiFi, in TV Bluetooth music streaming, a pool, jacuzzi, tons of lounge chairs, a fire pit and BBQ all for this price? This is the nicest and best deal in town. And I love the location and proximity to amazing shops and restaurants. It’s our # 1 choice for a family staycation.
This is a great hotel in Old Pasadena, near downtown Pasadena. Service and staff are really beyond that of many other hotels Ive been at, truly exceptional. Free breakfast was very good, typical food but good variety and tasting. Pool and outdoor area are nice, and the room is great with the mini kitchenette. But the staff here is what makes the place truly exceptional.
The hotel is located well, has renovated bathrooms that are much better than the courtyard down the street. The difference is the caring nature of the staff from GM on down to housekeeping. The courtyard staff follows through, reports, issues up the chain and addresses them. They are the first to help and then also make the managerial staff aware so they can follow up. The Residence has no such staff effort to make the customer first. Be assured any complaint will linger in a manner that suggests they hope it goes away. If you want breakfast, get there early. They do not replenish, nor care to keep the place open 1 second longer. Most mornings, they wrap up and slam the doors a few minutes early. That said, they have the best housekeeping staff around. Puts even the Weston at shame. They are accommodating and truly trying to do the best for their customers. They deserve accolades as well as the tip I left them.
We had a very nice stay at the residence inn. It was very easy to find, good location and around the main areas. It was very clean, service was great and the staff was helpful. The room was very nice we stayed in a 1 bedroom suite and it was nice and spacious. Very comfy bed and room. Will stay here again
I have stayed at other Residence Inns as we are Loyal Marriott customers. This Residence was bar far the nicest. It had secluded deck area with outdoor furniture and fire table along with a nice outdoor pool and spa. The decor was updated and modern. It was very clean and the breakfast was much better than other Residence Inns. I will definitely stay at this property again.
We have stayed at many, many Residence Inns. We know that some are all about parties, some seem mostly for business people, and others are simply clean, welcoming and fresh. This falls into the latter. The interior is sparkling clean, and seems to have been redone very recently. The location is perfect if you want to explore Old Town Pasadena on foot, and it’s pretty close to the freeways too, if you need to get around Los Angeles. The price was a bit higher than other Residence Inns, but it’s worth it.
This is a fairly new hotel right off of the 210 freeway at Fair Oaks. Its a very comfortable hotel with good amenities but it is small. I wouldnt recommend for large groups. A lot of traffic and construction noise in the area but I stayed in an inner courtyard room above the pool. So the traffic didnt bother me. The construction noise was loud but minimal due to the holiday weekend. Pool area is small but comfortable for lounging. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Having a full size refrigerator with ice-maker is a plus for me. Its a good location for those who need to go to downtown LA but dont want to stay overnight downtown. Lots of good restaurants and shopping nearby. Norton Simon Museum is nearby also. A good place for a fun weekend.
The room was perfect for business stay all week, large refrigerator, stove top and full kitchen made feel like home. The bath was clean neat and fresh. I appreciated the breakfast, but it seemed to much of the same each day, food was great and cooked well, just needed to change it up a little.I would be staying here again.Thank you, Rey
This new Marriott property seems to have used information from older properties to design the rooms for added convenience, ease of use and comfort. An excellent location for downtown Pasadena, the Rose Bowl and other cultural/entertainment/historical venues in the area. Great for a family up to four in a room. (two adults, two children) Breakfast gets you started and is well-prepared, healthy and good tasting. Parking facility is safe and spacious.
Fantastic new hotel in Pasadena. Rooms are spacious, modern, and nicely appointed. The staff was helpful, courteous, and professional throughout. You can tell it is well run. Although we didnt use it, the pool and patio area looked nice. And the location near Old Town cant be beat. Highly recommend.
Beautiful, brand new hotel! A bit pricey, but with the complimentary breakfast and for such an immaculate hotel, it seemed worth it overall. My only complaints were the pillows being a little uncomfortable (flat) and there was a lot of noise in the halls around 3am. But being a Saturday night, i assumed it was a wedding celebration, so I wasnt going to complain :) Id also have loved there to have been a bar by the pool or in the lobby, but that didnt really affect our stay- we just walked a couple blocks for cocktails. Thanks, Marriot!
I like the Old Town Residence Inn. It is easy to walk to Old Town and to Colorado Boulevard. The rooms are comfortable with plenty of power outlets and USB outlets (4) for powering and charging electronics. The breakfast is good with a great staff. Overall, the hotel is a good value and has a helpful, friendly staff. I stay there twice a month - I wouldnt keep coming back if the place wasnt really good.
I checked this hotels rating. as always, before booking and it mostly had a good rating. It exceeded our expectation. My family was happy that I chose this hotel as they were all apprehensive since we normally stayed at the Hyatt properties. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable and restful. The breakfast selection was excellent. The hotel was quiet even though we saw families with their pets sometimes at the Lobby area we hardly heard any barking at all.
Very nice 2 bedroom suite. They living room ceiling height was about 16 feet and the drapes are motorized. Our dog lived looking out the window. The shower was large and the drain seemed to play melodies. The beds were comfortable. Though the sign said premium beer for the Monday reception, it was more likely bud light. The appetizers were large so every time a tray was brought out it was gone in seconds. It is an the corner of two busy streets so the traffic noise was loud. You can walk to lots of shops and restaurants.
I travel around 300 days out of each year so Ive seen many motels, good and bad. My experience at Residence Inn, Old Town, was exceptional. The check in was flawless. The staff--all of them--was professional, courteous, and friendly. During my extended stay I felt welcome in my home away from home. The facility is within walking distance of numerous eateries and bars. It is within one block of the Metro for public transportation and within a block of the interstate. It felt like a friendly, safe place to be during my several weeks there.
Kind of dirty furniture(old&used up)Charged too much for our stay of 2 days...than the people above us we could hear them all nite didnt want to complain...check out person as leaving did not even ask us how our stay was?? & didnt tell me they were charing me to park my car for those days until i received extra charges on my card& called them to see why?Stayed in room 335 it was just ok for the visit
The Residence Inn Pasadena Old Towne is fantastic. As of March 2017 it appeared brand new. The rooms are the modern style that I really love. Exceptionally clean hotel because it appears new or recently renovated. Staff is friendly and helpful. The location is easy to get to from the highway and within walking distance to a ton of restaurants. The gym is very well stocked and all new equipment. Parking costs money and was hard to get in and out of even for a small car. Breakfast was standard for the brand. All in all a great place to stay.
I stayed across the street at the Marriott Courtyard during the summer and loved it. The Residence Inn was right across the street and I heard they allow pets, so I stopped in. Yep the do! and it was a lovely property (peaceful lounge area w/ pool, fire place, hot tub). So I booked it for our fall family trip, dogs in toe. We couldnt have been more pleased. All the amenities, lovely staff, nicely appointed rooms and delicious breakfast (skip the coffee though ;)). We will definitely be back!
Our house flooded and our insurance company put us up here. During such a stressful time both personally and in general with the pandemic, the staff has gone above and beyond to ensure ours and other guests safety and to make our stay as pleasant as possible. I would 100% book with them in the future.
Service was fast and good. Just the facilities definitely need to be carefully checked out and improved. We got broken TV remoter and draining in the bathroom. Since we checked in a bit late and really wanted to go to sleep asap. So we didnt have any chances to report and fix these problems. Location is perfect and close to everything in Old Town Pasadena.
Although the hotel is overall clean and well-maintained, our stay was plagued by constant earthquake-like vibrations (due to washers/dryers located in the basement). These tremors were strong enough to be felt by us on the 5th floor. In addition, parking in the underground garage was a challenge, as it required significant driving skills to maneuver in and out of the gate. I witnessed many poor drivers damaging their cars in their attempt to enter/exit that gate. Also, parking is charged at 19 dollars/night! This is not mentioned anywhere on their site and I was only informed about it when I checked out! Very bad! Lastly, breakfast was mediocre (if not poor). This hotel is highly overrated, in my opinion.
I really like the Residence Inns and this one was no exception. Great staff, updated room decor and modern conviences. This hotel was a couple blocks from Colorado where there is tons of shopping and great restaurants. Parking was an issue but being in the heart of Pasadena was worth it. The breakfast was good and I rarely eat at hotel breakfasts. Real eggs, fresh fruit, waffle, real butter. Yum.
Our trip was to attend a big SoCal Competition. It involves a lot of stress for parents and our swimmers. We use the facility to sleep, rest and eat in between the competition. The facility provides us healthy breakfast, and we use our room kitchen for lunch to eat healthy food before we head back for our final sessions. Our swimmers are well rested due to comfortability and peaceful environment of the facility and room. During the evening as we come back from an exhausting competition, our swimmers were able to play and do some R & R in the 2nd floor activity area. It’s a big deal for us to have an all in one facility because we need our time we’ll spend on that 3 day competition... great stay and very accommodating staff.
This Residence Inn was definitely in the top three that we have stayed in across the country. The room was great. The location was perfect and the staff was excellent. Our only issue was with breakfast. The breakfast serving are is way way to small for being able to handle a big crowd of people. The food was just Ok and nothing special. This is an area that you need to look into as the staff was definitely overwhelmed to handle a large Holiday crowd.
Staff was very kind, efficient, and helpful. Residence Inns are always the best places to stay if you have special food requirements (I am on a medical diet and find their complementary breakfasts the best, as well as the ability to prepare my own meals in my room). The rooms are clean, comfortable, and up to date.
Good, quiet and spacious room with full kitchen facilities. Smart TV with decent TV channels is a plus. Best for small families on leisure trips or relocating from other places. Kid/Family friendly place. My top rating goes to complimentary WiFi, Breakfast. It is also at very convenient location; accessible to public transports (Metro, Bus) and all types of restaurants & food places. Walkable distance to parks, shops and St. Andrews Catholic Church. Staffs are kind, professional and helpful. Smooth Check-in and Check-outs.
Exceeded my expectations! I will never stay anywhere else. Room is so big and comfortable. The bed is awesome...i slept like a baby! The tv swivels to your bed and to the couch for convenience! My own ice machine! I forgot my body wash but no worries! Complimentary shampoo conditioner and body wash in the shower (tea tree)! The Mix in the lobby provided free beer wine and food! The breakfast in the morning provided lots of choices! Best stay overnight in a hotel ever!
Wonderful hotel in Old Town Pasadena. Our room was very spacious and modern. It had a kitchenette, a sofa bed, and an upgraded bathroom. When you enter the hotel, you are greeted by a wonderful clean scent and friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again with the family next time we visit Pasadena.
Clean, upgraded room with kitchen makes for a great stay for families. We have two boys age 8 and 3. In todays world, everyone is connected with the internet. So we were able to make use of the internet TV and the USB plug-ins built into the outlets by the bed. Internet was fast, but we did experience a little buffering when watching internet TV (Netflix, Youtube). If you can, get a room on the second floor that opens to the patio/BBQ/pool area. It was so awesome to be able to just walk out of the room and enjoy the pool, firepit, ping/pong table, and large chess set. Overall great stay!!
Our wedding groups checked in at The Residence Inn Old Town Pasadena and we were all impressed how nice, clean the hotel is. It is also at a great location to where our wedding was. It’s also very close shops and restaurants. The staff was super helpful and accommodating during our photo sessions at the hotel and also during check ins and throughout our stay. It was very convenient, hassle free stay.
The Marriot in Old Town Pasadena was a great place to stay. It served our needs while we were there for a wedding. Easy to walk to local attractions, with many restaurants near by. The staff was very helpful & informative about the area. The Hotel was clean with comfortable beds & having the breakfast there helped fuel our day.
Beautiful Clean room with full kitchen including dishwasher, Nice swivel TV with netflix and added channels. Nice pool area, and whirlpool spa, BBQs and fire. Fitness center, adequate breakfast. Friendly staff! Close to shopping and cool restaurants. We will stay here again!
Had a nice stay at this new Residence Inn. Room layout was good and perfect for a family with two kids. Location near downtown Old Pasadena is excellent - we walked everywhere and super easy getting into L.A. when we needed to. Patio area is nice but pool too small to be inviting or want to spend much time there. Breakfast buffet looked reasonable but needs longer hours.
Residence Inn Pasadena is a wonderful hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are bright, airy and clean. The breakfast is plentiful, even egg white scrambled eggs! I enjoyed the pool and the exercise room (although it could use a few more pieces of equipment). The location is within 5-10 minute walk of downtown Pasadena which has great restaurants and shopping. I will be back!
Excellent new hotel. All the new amenities and very helpful staff. They went out of there way to get us breakfast as we missed the cut off. The rooms were large and spacious and new. Even had popcorn to pop in the microwave. I really enjoyed the big flat screen tv in the bedroom.
First room had stained sheets and a handicap shower that the water ran all over the bathroom. The toilet was in a puddle. Fortunately one of the 4 windows was shattered in the morning so we got a different room for the next two days. That room was considerably better. Covid breakfast was a joke.
If you like friendly, helpful staff, convient parking, and value for your money I would highly recommend steering clear of this location. As an Ambassador Elite member ( that means I spend a few days of every week of my life at a hotel) this is by far the worst customer service Ive ever encountered and at a steep price I might add!. Asked to speak to a manger, not there, so asked for a phone call, well its been a week. Not impressed with any of it. Parking difficult, 2 night stay and the room wasnt made up, and bad attitudes galore(Norma).
The rooms are very nice and clean ! However I asked for an extra blanket and half hour later someone showed up with a sheet!!! Breakfast was cold and tasteless. But the worst was that they had paper plates and plastic forks and knives , you’d think a hotel this size can afford a dishwasher and not be so environmentally unfriendly. I was horrified by the waste .
Booked this hotel as we were traveling from out of town for a concert at the Rose Bowl, and this looked close. Turned out to work perfectly, as the shuttle service to Rose Bowl is right across the street. Easy check in, delicious breakfast. Wish I had time to explore and enjoy all the amenities this place offers. Great location, near nightlife and restaurants.
I have been at the hotel for about 2 weeks and the staff have made this a phenomenal experience. There have been zero issues. Genaro and Jamie were formal and responsive to all of my questions and requests and have assisted me throughout the entire stay with ease. I would recommend this hotel to anyone expecting a high level of professionalism and quality.
Not only located conveniently, staff are friendly and accommodating, rooms clean and functionable, bonus breakfast and in room kitchen. Internet easy to connect to and laundry easy to use. Overall spoilt us and raised the bar fir the rest of our family holiday expectations. We done!
We have stayed at Residence Inn LA Pasadena for our last 3 visits in LA and we’ve never been disappointed. The location is within walking distance to Old Town Pasadena.. shopping, dining and great cafes. The hotel is in a great condition, very well maintained and clean. Staffs are very friendly and there’s ample facilities to accomodate our family holiday needs.
This is a great spot for exploring Pasadena. We stayed for a dodger game and made it to the stadium in 20 minutes at 5:30 on a Friday, which was way faster than expected. Lots of cool restaurants and shopping near by. The rooms are a bit noisy b/c of regular street and freeway traffic, so bring earplugs. The huge desk, and kitchen and large fridge was a great bonus. The staff are all very helpful and courteous.
I had a business trip that was scheduled last minute, I decided to book the Residence in Old Town Pasadena. I was extremely happy with my choice - right off the freeway, close to everything I needed to get to in Pasadena. The hotel is brand new and very nice. Rooms are beautiful and very quiet. I only stayed one night, but the amenities at the hotel were so nice, I would go back for a long or extended stay.
I love the smiles of the staff and it melted all of my stress from the San Francisco Bay Area. Overall, it was a pleasant, very peaceful and comfortable stay. There are three different bus numbers around the hotel. However, I took all of the uber for my appointments of three days.
Cannot say enough nice things about the Marriott Residence Inn in Pasadena. Great service, great breakfast, very clean & beautifully decorated rooms, very people friendly and pet friendly! Its the place to stay! Ive booked two more trips to the Residence Inn. It was our first visit there and now it will be our go-to place to stay.
I am really please and gratefully choosen to stay. Being so far from home, I feel comfortable and safe and really enjoying. I can really relax here. The hotel is very clean and the staff are wonderful. I have not experience any problem during my stay. I highly recommend this place. Ive known many Residence Inn throughout the country but this one is so far the best Ive ever experienced.
We visit family in the Pasadena area every year and previously have stayed at the Marriott Courtyard property down the street. Decided to try the Residence Inn mainly because it offered a complimentary breakfast. Really loved the property and the amenities. This will definitely be our go to choice for our visits in the future.
The room is nice and comfortable for 2-3 people. Bathroom is clean, shower was spacious and the fan is quiet, TV is modernized so that you can local channels and Netflix {your account}, Hulu, crackle. The room card is easy to use against a pad instead of a slot to insert. And for my purpose to be near universal studio, this works out great.
Stylish, open spaces from the lobby to your guest room. The breakfast had great options but was so popular it seemed hard for the staff to keep food in stock or have seating available. Friendly staff, relaxing outdoor courtyard, easy walking to parks, shops, metro train.
Stayed here this week in a one bedroom suite with our toddler (thank goodness for the closed door to help her sleep at night without hearing us!) and the Residence Inn was like the same price as other hotels but we got the kitchen which was great plus free continental breakfast! Nice location in Old Town and right next to the highway.
Thoughtfully furnished rooms make for a pleasant stay in a convenient location. Kids enjoyed the roof-top pool, giant chess set and ping pong. Everyone appreciated the breakfast buffet (scrambled eggs, pastries, make your own waffles, fruit, etc.). Sleeper sofa in the king suite OK for 2 kids or one teen. Underground parking for a fee. Helpful staff and modern rooms.
Room is very nice and modern. Breakfast is very nice. The room facing the street is very noisy especially at night, can hear lots of traffic. Room service is not good. Asked for housekeeping but no one ever up and it happened twice in a row which is unacceptable. Dont feel much platinum membership status recognition.
Staying at the New Residence Inn at Pasadena Oldtown is a very pleasant experience. The hotel is new with tasteful decor, clean facilities and a nice atmosphere. The staff is exceptional, they all do everything they can to make your stay comfortable and pleasant. It is a home away from home for business travelers such as myself. It is by far my favorite hotel.
This trip was very important to us. We had not seen our son for almost two years. We used our income tax refund to travel, so it was important that we make good decisions with our money. The Marriott Residence Inn was excellent and when we have the opportunity to travel again, we will choose Marriott.
Generally speaking, this is a decent place to stay when in Pasadena. However, the constant din of traffic and racing engines from the street below and the nearby freeway made this stay unpleasant. My request for a quiet room was ignored. As a former and longtime SPG member, I am unimpressed with the customer service and treatment I get now that things are being handled by Marriott (Bonvoy).
I stay at the Pasadena Old Town Residence Inn two weeks every month, and I am always very comfortable there. The staff is outstanding, the facilities are very comfortable, inviting and clean. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. I like the atmosphere of the hotel, it is my home away from home. I highly recommend this hotel for anybody staying in the Pasadena area.
I booked a two bedroom suites thru travel agency and upon check in, I was told this type of room are not available for this property and was given a one bedroom instead. I have reported to the travel agency and was told that the hotel has indeed two bedroom suites. I feel like I was lied to by the hotel even I spoke to the manager on site. There was not a satisfactory solution provided to me and it was a horrific experience
This new location is wonderfully comfortable and modern. It was a good value for the cost with a full breakfast included (we felt like we were in Europe). The Residence Inn Pasadena is a very short walk to the Gold Line train, shopping and interesting dining. Even though our trip was for visiting family, the Residence Inn was a relaxing hub to come back to at the end of the day.
Leaving on Sept 11th, getting ready to fly home to the Sacramento area, I stopped by to get names and numbers of management for the Residence Inn by Marriott Pasadena/Old Town. Working for FEMA since 2004, Ive been in many Marriott locations. My stay at Pasadena/Old Town was very enjoyable, having been treated by a Fantastic Team of very Caring and Supportive Professionals - Sarah, Justin, Chantal, and Michelle. They treated every one of us as though we were Family, which of course, caused us to not want to leave them behind as we had to move on :) The Facility was Wonderful, as it was immaculately kept, filled with all the necessary amenities. The meals were fantastic, and again, set up so that all occupants were able to intermingle and befriend one another, along with, again, raving about the food and Attendants. There was a large group of us FEMA folks there, who have traveled quite a lot, and All, as I am, are very Thankful for our time spent with you. And, Sarah, Justin, and Chantal, should get Accolades for putting up with us Busy People as they did. Thank You So Much!!
They are just horrible. I stayed at suite which is nice, but service is awful. If I could, I would give them zero star. Front desk employees are of no use. I complained about the coffee maker which was broken, they sent someone after 1.5 hours. I did not do the overnight parking, but charged me for that. They provide misinformation about the parking and charge for parking. The management of the hotel is affecting the brand.
OLD TOWN PASADENA!!! Hubby and I just stayed here at this hotel. Its BRAND NEW. Rooms are huge and lovely. The beds are very comfortable. The Front Desk personnel are all very nice, professional and helpful. Hotel is in a fabulous location. Walking distance to tons of restaurants and shopping. We arrived at 5pm and headed two blocks down the...
Hotel the best in Pasadena and maybe Los Angeles area for customer care, comfort and cleanliness. Staff from the front desk (especially Joker) to housekeeping were happy and welcoming. Somebody is doing something right here! Thank you for a great 2 month stay! You made me feel at home.
Front desk seems inefficient and unprofessional. Lacks customer service skills. They repeatedly charged the incorrect credit card. One day the room door was left wide open after the cleaning crew was done. Nobody seemed to care, nor followed through with an apology. Luckily, nothing was stolen, but this is absolutely unacceptable. We are a local business and will not send our guests there again.
We were in town for a wedding and the “official hotel” was full so we decided to stay here and we are super glad we did. This hotel was WONDERFUL! The staff was super polite and friendly, the hotel smelled pleasant, our room was immaculately clean and her bed was very comfortable. We highly recommend this hotel
1. Customer service: *Excellent*, accommodating, and courteous.2. Room: *Very good*. There was this musty, almost rotten smell that emanated from the shower stall. This was before I checked in as well, and it never went away during the entirety of my stay. I was too afraid to say something to the staff because I made a few too many requests. I didnt want to bother them so I dealt with it. I am hoping someone else notices and fixes it. Perhaps soaking the shower head in bleach or cleaner, or the entire shower stall. 3. Room service: *Good*. Room service did a good job of organizing my things and not touching the items that are too personal. And they also did a good job of restocking things. However, because of personal preference, I decided not to further utilize room service. I requested for shampoo and conditioner at the front desk, and if I was around in the morning, I would go out and ask room service for particulars. However, one thing that did further turn me away from room service is that I found dirt and shoe marks all over my bathroom floor. Personally, after a shower, I dont want my feet to be dirty again. And it made me feel like the rest of the room may not be as clean as it LOOKS. I also dont wear shoes into the carpet area of the room. My shoes are arranged as such at the front door, inside. However, I made sure that room service didnt come in thereafter my discovery. I believe this may just be a cultural difference, but I will not be utilizing room service for this reason. Dirt in the bathroom or anywhere is just a no-no for me.
Stayed here thinking that it would be spacious enough for my bridal party to do hair and makeup and eventually use the suite as a honeymoon suite, but my advice is that this is more for business travels and family vacation. The service was subpar but Pasadena has a better options for you to feel like a bride and groom. This was just a place to crash. Theres no bell service if you have lots to haul for your wedding, no room service for that late night post-wedding/rehearsal meal, and the front desk was friendly enough, but didnt make the weekend feel special. Theres places to walk to but there are so many hotel options that are better fit for a wedding party.
Love it! They allow animals with an additional pet deposit. Staff is friendly and the neighborhood is super quiet in the evening! They also have breakfast which is great, one less meal to pay for! They do have construction going on next door but I havent found it to be any bother.
Residence Inn PasadenaA highly recommended hotel to stay for business or with family in Pasadena. The room is spacious with kitchen and sofa. The staff are friendly and helpful, making sure the guests are taken care. There are many shops and restaurants within 10min walk. Strongly recommended.Ambience : 5/5Bed : 5/5Design : 5/5Food : 4/5Price. : 4/5Service : 4/5
Hotel was nice, the breakfast was good, and the location of the hotel is excellent. But do not stay in room 418. We had to change rooms because the entire room had a vibration issue caused by the industrial size washing machine on the bottom floor of the hotel.. My recommendation is do not stay in room 418.
Wonderful hotel located near everything Pasadena has to offer. Also convenient to Santa Anita Race Track and Burbank Airport. Uber availability was easy and convenient. Lots of food and shopping within walking distance. Felt extremely safe in the surrounding hotel area.
We stayed here overnight to spend time at the Gamble House and Huntington Library. We stayed in a Studio Suite that made our stay extremely comfortable. The semi full kitchen, complimentary breakfast, Tuesday night mix, and the free HBO on demand allowed us time to relax without having to run around town looking for meals and entertainment.
I travel to Pasadena a lot on business and this has become by go to hotel. Its very comfortable and convenient. Easy freeway access, and excellent location right next to Old Town Pasadena. Other than that its a pretty standard Residence Inn, with large comfortable rooms and a good breakfast.
We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at the Old Town Pasadena Residence Inn. The location and facilities were excellent and staff were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the convenience and quality of the breakfast. We plan to book this hotel again in the future.
Lo and behold for two freaking days my room was not made by housekeeping. The explanation of the front desk was that on Dec 25 they were undermanned. I tried to accept their explanation because its a holiday. However, the next day, my room was not made again. The frontdesk guy do not have any explanation. They have two elevators and its very slow. The said hotel is facing the funeral parlor. My room was fronting it and i can hear wailing and crying at one poont point by the relatives of the deceased.VERY UGLY SERVICE!!!
Washing machines left our clothes smelling like fish! Front desk personnel (on a personal phone call) was unconcerned with our issue. Maintenance will look at it in the morning, but they were happy to sell us dryer sheets to fix the problem. When we called to make reservations, they told us breakfast was until 9:30. After driving 26 hours and arriving at 4 am, we headed to breakfast at 9:05...breakfast ended at 9. Very disappointed with the entire experience. The sleeper sofas are a joke as well, unless you enjoy springs in your back. Bring your own blankets, sheets and blankets are paper thin.
Extremely disheartening, and would never allow my employees to treat any customers like I was treated. The added insult to ingury was the fact that it made me feel even worse because I felt like I was ganged up on by more than 1 employee. I felt like I was being laughed at and talked about. I was getting wierd looks and would hear laughter and whispers as I walked by or made any attempt to ask for assistance in any fashion.I would never recommend nor stay at this location agsion for the rest of my life.I would advise anyone who was considering this particular location to reconsider and really look at any alternative accommodations available in the area to be seriously considered before moving ahead and using this location to reside at, even if was a short duration.
Short story: Dont stay here, not safe!Long Story:5pm-ish: When we First Checked in, we had asked Maggie (the Closest to a manager) the person who checked us in, if it was safe to park our car in their parking structure in which we would gladly pay for. Her response: oh yes of course, we have 24 hour video surveillance and its a very safe place. As soon as I walk into the room everything seems fine. nice layout. I put down my daughter (1 year old) to check out the closet and dressers(we dont have our luggage up yet). My daughter is halfway under the bed, PUTTING A PLASTIC BOTTLE CAP IN HER MOUTH!! After I get her, only to find out that the upper drawer of the dresser there was a dirty washcloth full of blue stains and crumpled up trash in the dresser.Okay fine, so the housekeeper forgot a few things(ehh I am a mom of a 1 and 3 year old, I understand) nothing happened.Later on at night, my 3 year old son needs to take a shower. I turn on the water and it wouldnt stay to a warm temperature, my husband was able to find a comfortable temperature for him just in time to shampoo his body and hair, then it turns freezing cold. My 3 year old son had to take a shower in the cold. I called the front desk their basic response is: there isnt anything we can do about it until our engineer comes tomorrow after you check out, so good luck. I did the best I could and took my daughter a bath in the kitchen sink. My husband and I took cold showers that night as well.I killed a couple mosquitoes in the room. Went downstairs with my daughter in my arms, to tell them, okay they wrote it down. So the hotel is new, and its working on its kinks...okay.So after dinner I pull out the sofa bed, the sofa bed has a note saying the sheets are located on the top corner of the closet. nope just a pillow. So I called again, after 15 rings, they answer. okay its still a new hotel. ehh okay at this point I am dead tired from being driving up to LA from San Diego in traffic, High temperatures, cranky kids.Next Morning, 5 am found out my phone battery was dead and the charger was in the car. Went to the car and everything from the center console is gone, charger wasnt there, neither were the keys my husband had only for work. At first I figured my husband took everything out and ill just ask him when he wakes up, after all the change is still there and nothing else looks like anything was touched. WRONG! Husband woke up to check on the car when I told him, Keys, Brand new air mattress, chargers, camera, notepad, owners manual. all was gone. When I told the front desk and asked if they can check their cameras, Nope. No such thing as surveillance in the parking structure. We were lied to the minute we got there,After the whole family missed breakfast because we were calling insurance and waiting for the police to come we missed half of our event we were engaged to.The whole reason why we stayed at the hotel, and my family paid the price with their time off and our kids were stolen of the good time they were supposed to have. After all the police report, eating a very late breakfast, when we talked to the same manager, Maggie. She told us there was nothing she could do for us other than waive the parking fee. absolutely nothing. I was angry but never raised my voice neither did my husband. While we were talking to her and explaining how upset we were, that i feel I shouldnt have to pay 230 dollars for this type of night, she wails and runs to the back to cry. leaving us at the counter in awe. What kind of hotel Manager/ employee goes and cries leaving customers there? I am sorry I work in the public service sector and in no way do we ever leave a customer to tend to our emotions arising from work.Still waiting for the call back from customer service. Ill update if all was justified.

2022-03-26We stayed last night, using a free night with our Bonvoy points. Good location near freeway and plenty of restaurants to walk to. Our room was clean and spacious. Nice kitchen area with working appliances. THANK YOU for being dog friendly. Our dog adjusted nicely and the employees were very nice to him (and us!). Even gave him a treat at the front desk. The breakfast was very good and there’s nice areas to sit. The lady working that area that morning was super friendly and made sure everyone was doing well. She’s awesome!Only complaints:• thermostat was a bit confusing. Even with instructions. We got it working but it was very low strength to cool the room.- breakfast ended a bit early. (9am)- pull out couch bed was very uncomfortable. We also heard other guests complaint about it.

2022-02-22This Residence Inn in Pasadena is a nice hotel for both short and extended stays. The room that we stayed in was clean and had no issues with it. The staff were nice and accommodating with requests that you may have. The breakfast is still a grab and go type of breakfast due to COVID but they do have ready-made oatmeal with all the toppings you want, which is great. The giant chess set on site is rather fun to play with and the pool is typical of a Residence Inn pool - which is located outdoors, 2nd floor. All in all, a nice stay and will definitely be back to visit.

2022-04-15Friendly staff. Good security. Great location close enough to the center of activities but far enough away to avoid excess noise. Good breakfast included. Got the 1 bedroom on second floor easy access to pool, play area, outdoor lounge, gym and laundry room.

2022-06-07The rooms were good sized and I liked having a kitchen with a full-sized fridge. The only problem was our room faced the street and there was quite a bit of traffic noise during the day. Luckily it wasnt bad at night. The location was great for walking to Old Town Pasadena.

2022-06-18What’s good: front desk is friendly. They attended to our multiple requests midnight so that’s definitely a plus. What’s not good: sound insulation is toooo weak. In rooms facing the highway we were constantly bothered by traffic noise that we had to move to another room.Second room has what you can see from the image (without using kitchen sink at all). I had to repack my luggage in fear of sewage overflow while we’re asleep may soak my clothes and electronics.Overall quite disappointed and wouldn’t recommend to anyone at all.

2022-04-11Positive: From the call to upgrade our rooms because of inventory concerns to every interaction with staff, this hotel performed. Location was awesome and amenities are terrific. Staff found ways to say YES! to every question. Negative: They could use a coffee/espresso cafe on site, but happily directed me to the nearest cafe, which was inside another hotel across the street.

2022-06-08Ive previously stayed at this property twice (pre-Covid) and was very satisfied. This visit, I found the hotel is more like a collection of small Airbnb rooms than a hotel. There is no maid service unless requested each day and even then it is minimal. I found the staff unconcerned when problems occurred and the resolution of problems was beyond their ability to resolve. When I found the that the body wash dispenser was empty (mid-shower) I reported it to the desk clerk the following morning and was told they would remedy it. When I returned to my room that night I found a bottle of shower gel on the counter in the kitchen, the empty shower container untouched. Asking for fresh towels resulted in the same cavalier response - left on the kitchen counter. My bed was untouched my entire stay. It was like the hotel staff simply couldnt be bothered to make the effort. For nearly $400 a night I had hoped for service a bit better than a roadside motel. I will not be returning.

2022-03-23Worse Residence Inn stay EVER from a loyal customer. Room was so noisey from freeway and, breakfast foods were not available both days of stay. My husband has ptsd and I requested a quiet room and told I would get one. Not the case. Given a room as close to the freeway as possible. Didnt sleep all night. When I complained the manager only offerred me 1/14 of my points back. Not the customer service I expect from a Marriott.!

2021-09-18It was nice to try out this new hotel. Great location, nice customer service. A couple of snafus with not having extra bedding for the couch or having hand soap but overall, it was a nice stay and well be back. The gym was fantastic, love the options to workout, very cool to have a Pelaton too.

2021-10-09I’ve been staying here for almost two weeks while traveling for work. The staff is friendly, front desk and service staff included. The breakfast is pretty standard, I like the aAddition of cold-brew coffee. The hotel is close to 2 grocery stores (5-min) and plenty of shops and restaurants. Good views from the rooms. The parking costs are per-day but it is onsite and unlimited entry/exit.I wouldn’t hesitate to come back.
