This was a lovely place to spend an afternoon. Parking was a short walk away. There is a good bathroom nearby and admission is free. This garden was established in 1940 and showcases plants native to California. There are many quaint and magical pathways and bridges throughout. A creek runs through the middle. This is child friendly and has benches along the way to rest and appreciate the scenery. This is situated in a little canyon so there are small elevation gains. Nothing too hard and makes it interesting.

Absolutely beautiful, comprehensive garden filled with native plants from all regions of CA. It definitely takes a few visits to wander all the paths and soak it all in

Lovely area but not mobility friendly. No signs so it’s easy to get lost. Lots of hills.

A living library of trees and plants from across the state of California. Some fascinating and unique specimens, strewn across a beautifully kept grounds. The staff and volunteers are very knowledgeable and kind, though note that some tours may move at a rather slow pace.

Very nice cool peaceful walk through the dense shaded areas. The bright green colors of the vegetation is relaxing.

The park is neatly kept & well maintained. Its April and the stream is still flowing and everything is green. Hundreds of variety of plants and a nice trail. Worth going for a hike here if in the Berkeley area.
