Great sandwiches. Really nice employees
Try the charcoal rotisserie chicken! They sell it in half portions for $10 I believe and I think it comes with fries but dont quote me on that. They have nice fries and I recommend the turkey club sandwich which has avocado in it. Yum!
I have some problems with Pixie Deli. I feel like every time I enter the building, I feel filthy. Ive noticed the floors near the cashier are dirty, I notice sometimes the employees dont wear gloves when handling food, sometimes the food is not that fresh or appealing, and I heard from a friend of a friend that there might be a rodent problem. But, the overall service is very good and the employees are always very nice. I love pixie deli but I cant get the thought out of my head that the way they prepare food is unsanitary. Also, not going to lie the fries are bomb and will always come back for them.
Drinks are overpriced. Kevita kombucha is $4.99 and Pure Leaf tea is $3.75.
We love pixie go quit often great food...a little slow yesterday but good..tortilla soup was not filled with enough veggies or no hominy pretty bland..
Smart sandwiches and wrap. Meatloaf. Close to beach do perfect, and 6 chicks roasting in the window. Yum!

Ive known this place for years and it turned into an outstanding place to get a bite of great food.
That sandwich was so good I ate it so fast I forgot what I ordered Im going back again probably next week. Ill give you a tip on what I do at each restaurant that I eat, I will ask my server what is their favorite or what is homemade/ are they known for and that is what I usually end up ordering.

Wonderfully located Deli in the heart of Aptos near Rio Del Mar cross streets. Lots of outdoor seating. Across the street from the beach. Food was delivered fresh and delicious. The staff was super attentive to all of our needs. The owner was even on site having lunch with his family. This small family owned Deli was extremely clean, organized and had a lot of specialty items on site. From imported beers, bakery goods from The Farm, to fresh Frozen specialty ice creams. I ordered the special: The Bay Shrimp Sandwich. Generous portion of shrimp salad mix on a delicious crusty fresh ciabatta roll served with lime wedges. We also ordered one of their house favorites: the pesto sandwich which was also delicious. We topped off our visit to Pixie Deli with a fresh carrot cake muffin from The Farm. No complaints just praises.❤
Great hidden gem for sandwiches on the beach. During COVID they keep it safe and moving with a line to order and waiting outside to pick up your food. The sandwiches are generous and there is a great selection of beer/drinks in the case for you to select from. This is my usual stop when walking on the beach in this area. I usually take my sandwich out to the beach to eat while looking at the waves.
Pixie deli is a quaint little shack in a sea of people. They offer tasty sandwiches custom made to order and a variety of beverages and local craft brews. somehow I parked in their driveway and got away with it but good luck finding parking nearby its probably a better deli to walk up to. Im giving this five stars because the freshness of the sandwich is definitely a testament to their ingredients.

A great beach spot for the whole family! Their menu is great, with attention to detail. Your taste buds have never been happier. I greatly appreciate their beverage selection, there is a little something for everyone as you take a break from Beach activities or just driving through. The staff is extremely friendly, everytime I see them they are always cheerful and are even open to suggestions if you just cannot choose between all of their great menu options.

Been there in years as Rio Del Mar Beach is my home Beach because I live about 5 minutes away. My memory from long ago was that the food was not very good and it was overpriced. But I was working on a job right next door and the owner was saying how great the food was there so we went over there for lunch. Well, the food was just okay but the prices were not as bad as I remembered. The best thing I can say is that they have a pretty large menu and the portions tend to be large. But you better be really hungry.
You wouldnt expect a little beach joint to be so good, but it really is. I love their Ahi tuna wrap for lunch, and the burger is no joke! Their build-your-own breakfast burritos are also really good. They dont skimp on the fillings. My only complaint is a minor one, and that is that its cluttered inside and with a little effort it could be better arranged for more seating.
I had the California Club (with 2 pieces of bread instead of 3) and sat outside. There are lots of tables with umbrellas and only a block from the beach! My sandwich was tasty and I will definitely be coming back. All the staff is kind and welcoming.
Pretty great food for a restaurant so close to the beach. There breakfast is particularly good. Their French toast is fantastic!!
Good sandwiches and huge deviled eggs! There was a long like, but wed ordered ahead by phone, and were able to skip the line and go straight up to pay when we got there. The deli also offers chips, snacks, and a selection of drinks like a convenience store. We didnt eat there, but they had a number of tables and a counter in the shop, so families could eat there if they wanted. Only potential negative is that parking can be tricky, though.

The BLT is bursting at the seams with bacon bits. Breakfast burritos are huge, but could use a little more flavor (some hot sauce or spicy salsa). The deli is right across the street from Rio Del Mar State Beach so a filling meal is steps away from the sand.
What a great little place to grab a delicious bite and hit the beach! They have fresh hot rotisserie chicken coming off the fire Evey morning that is perfect! Not to mention the build your own breakfast burrito that is about the size of my head, lol..4 egg burrito! I will say if you add avocado make sure you check as they forgot a couple times..but when I mentioned it they were apologetic and quick to fix the mistake. Super friendly staff and great service system to handle crowds quickly. We will definitely keep returning!
I ordered a pesto chicken sandwich and it was not what I expected at all. It barely had pesto and it was smothered with tons and tons of cheese. I actually ended up removing the excess cheese.i really was hoping for a pesto sandwich, not a cheese sandwich. The bread was good but everything else was blah. The service, however; was nice and quick.
I grew up near Rio Del Mar Beach in the 1960s and what was then Pixie Market was where my mom would send me *running* when she realized she had no condensed milk while baking the Thanksgiving pumpkin pie. I stille come to the beach here and want to give a public shout out to todays Pixie Deli. Great service and fabulous food. The wild salmon sandwich is one of the best lunches you can buy anywhere – and incredible value.
Not my best photo, but this grilled ahi wrap is tasty deliciousness! I’m a condiment fiend, so I may ask for extra wasabi mayo next time around, but otherwise - perfect!The service is fast and friendly; the portions and prices are just great. (Honestly, the breakfast burrito I ordered on a different visit was HUGE!) I can’t wait to try more the menu.

We had breakfast burritos and I suggest sharing. They were yummy but absolutely enormous! We came back later to have a cup of coffee and it was cold and old. The girl at the counter didnt even care so that was a turnoff!
Recently, the breakfast burritos have lacked in quality.*No longer available: The gelato was amazing and served quite fresh.Snacks, fresh sandwiches and other items are available.The business closes earlier now, and overall quality has just gone downhill.I hope the new owner stops deleting great items like gelato, and gets his cooks in order to make better food.
One of my new favorites excellent menu, hearty foods house made, generous portions and very affordable prices. Friendly staff owner was there and he went out of his way to welcome us in his restaurant. DJ the young man that makes the sandwiches , great customer service and amazing sandwich. This unimposing little deli cafe has a few tables indoors but mostly a lovely patio outside right near the beach. You can get wonderful cobb salads, paninis, sandwiches, French dip kind of thing.Lots of selection of chips and snacks and a huge cooler of amazing beer!You order at the counter and then take a seat and they bring it to you.when its busy it can be a little slow, but its worth it to be in this little seaside town and have good eats.
My wife likes the reuben hot sandwiches. I had the chicken pesto and wasnt impressed. It was just OK. Its a nice place to hang out near the water. They have a patio with a decent view.

Found this place to be friendly and (most importantly) delicious. Took a little while to get our sandwiches and burgers, but everything was good. Its kind of a deli/market, so you can grab some drinks, snacks and even bottles of wine. A good quick bite option near Rio Del Mar beach.
Is this place great? Right near the beach. Pick up your sandwich or other great deli items with drink and hit the beach. One block away. You can also sit on their patio. Great service and fun. The kids love the ice cream.
Delicious food, quaint atmosphere, wonderful service, and nice people, all just a few steps from the beautiful Monterey Bay. Our group had the Philly Cheese, Ruben, and French Dip sandwiches. All were exceptional, we will return again.

Ive been going here ever since I was a child! Many memories have been shared over Pixie Deli breakfast burritos. Just grab a slip from the front counter and check off your desired burrito ingredients. Be prepared though because theyre huge and it will be the best one youve ever had! The owners are also very fun to joke around with! They set the example for genuine customer service. Nate remembers me every time I walk in and asks how my family is doing. Nothing but love for this place ❤

Pixie Deli is a real gem. Great food, hearty portions, and a brilliant selection of wines, beers and soft drinks. But the best thing is the fantastically friendly atmosphere created by the lovely staff who obviously like their customers.
OMG! I had a $12 calamari sandwich and the calamari was so thin, dry, overcooked and did I Say THIN? It was all bread. I had to take the top piece off just to get something that tastes like calamari and still nothing....bummer experience 🤣

3pm on a sunny winter day...sitting on the patio, watching the dog walkers, and enjoying a delicious open faced shrimp & avocado sangwich....simply perfect...quiet relaxed hideaway from the crazy summer to come...The Pixie is great again (now maybe The Farm will too..mlove these new owners)...locals rule !!!

Friendly. Avocado cheese sandwich on whole wheat was good. Kids liked the veggie burritos. Outdoor seating has colorful umbrellas but a little chilly in this location.

Fairly expensive and dont recommend the turkey sandwich - the worst quality turkey Ive seen. The turkey was smelly, pinkishly weird-looking, like some kind of Spam prison food or something. (although Ive never actually been to prison) The rest of the sandwich ingredients were fine, but who wants to pay $8.75 for some bread with lettuce & tomato? The nearby Rio Del Mar Deluxe Market has good quality sandwiches for $7.00
