Good selection of basic pantry items along with specialty foods when I want to make something interesting or exotic. Also a good selection of ready-made meals when I dont want to cook at all. Staff is friendly and helpful without being obtrusive and prices are pretty good, even better if you use the rewards program. Great floral section!
I love this store. The produce and bakery are wonderful. Ive purchased a variety of cakes and theyve all been fantastic! Moist, fresh and tasty. Not overly sweet or pasty. The floral dept is also great. Purchased a dozen pink roses for my moms 92nd birthday and they lasted 2 weeks! They bloomed beautifully and were fragrant. Then bought a bouquet of assorted flowers for my sons Godmother and they lasted almost 2 weeks as well. Service is excellent. Everyone seems to be on the ball and are ready to take care of their customers.
Quick, easy shopping..that is until you check out. They eliminated self-checkout, and there is always a wait now at the registers.(UPDATE:Self- checkout is back!! Feb.2022) Prices are a bit high on some things so be a savvy shopper. Still, they usually have everything I need, except maybe when they run low on lunch salads.
Well organized & stocked one-stop shop store! Great 50%off sale section in the left front corner of the store that always has different goodies daily! Management isnt the kindest & is extremely judgemental towards anyone who looks homeless or not as financially well off which is the only complaint I have.
I ordered on line and picked up the order myself. Very painless overall but the signage out front of the store for picking up orders was totally absent. I waited about 10 minutes before an employee called me an informed me that the pickup place is actually in the back of the store near the loading dock. All was eventually good.
Love the deli and bakery! It’s your neighborhood grocery store. Update: they have taken out the US Bank in the store completely! Also hours keep changing but still a great store. No more self checkouts but if you go during the off times, they always have a bunch of registers open so little wait!
All employees interact with customers, asking if they can help. Whether they are cutting deli meat, stocking milk or checking you out, they are great. Kudos to the great gal who makes my sandwiches and the tall guy in the butter and milk- he is very helpful always. I drive miles to shop here.
I checked out this Pavilions since it was the only one in the area. They downgraded the one on the corner of Woodruff and South to a Vons a few years ago and its the only one left in the area. The store is nice on the outside, but the inside is very dated and could use a refresh. The sign in the front says that theyve served since 1988 and it sure does look like it. What it lacked in appearance it made up for in selection and food quality. I was pleasantly surprised at some of the rare finds I was able to get that I cant find anywhere else (Tiger bread, please!) I also made quite a few selections from the produce department for a meal I was preparing later and everything was super fresh and delicious, more so than Id get at a competitor. The staff wasnt overly attentive. The checker and courtesy clerk were discussing the pandemic and seemed uninterested in me as the customer, although they did stop for 3 seconds to say hello before resuming their banter. Prices were on par with what youd expect for an upscale grocery store. I did pay $8 for an 8oz jar of artisan mango/peach jam but hey, when in rome. Id probably come here again if I was interested in new flavors, rare finds, or something different, but for my week-to-week, Ill stick to Ralphs since this store is a little out of the way for me. The Albertsons on Del Amo and Clark sucks.
Honestly, it was fine. I went on a Friday afternoon to avoid the rush. The organic veggies are well curated. The liquor is priced competitively. No pecorino. No smoked chillies. The vegetarian section felt awkward. I went on a Friday at 2, yet I constantly felt like I was getting in the way - possibly due to the criss-cross layout of the store. That being said, everyone working there were clearly experts on the store. Kudos to the massive amounts of employees out restocking the shelves. Everyone I spoke to was helpful af. Long live grocery workers unions.
Has the best Panda Express EVER. There is a lady that works there that has an insane amount of energy AND experience. She gives the best customer service at any Panda Express, anywhere, ever. Dont believe me? Then go and try them out. You will not be disappointed. P.S. She works in the afternoons.
Had everything I was looking for an was very easy to find .. I was most impressed because I visited the store just before Thanksgiving.. and they had almost every check stand open I was helped right through almost immediately.. a local Ralphs always has the self check stands , they are terrible... I loved the service.. much appreciated ! Sam Mayberry
Love the selection here, only I couldnt find ube potatoes and also the bakery was deserted long enough that I eventually had to hunt someone from the butcher department down to assist me (he wasnt familiar with the pricing or items, but was a good sport and got me what I needed out of the case).Staffing lapse aside, the people working here were all friendly and helpful, which is always a plus in my book. The store is larger inside than the outside lead me to expect. I think it could also do with a new department layout plan, as it seemed a bit disconnected or disorganized inside from aisle to aisle.Overall though Id shop here again just to enjoy the great selection compared to other stores in the area.
Pleasurable shopping experience, clean aisles, clean shelving, very fresh produce. Really helpful staff very comprehensively stocked puts in the shelves. Pricing ranged from moderately priced items upwards. I love the layout easy to push your cart comfortably around the isles in this store.
Rude staff .Made me wait over 10 mims so they can chit chat with other coworkers but then give me attitude saying ugh what you want ? Hurry up ok before I can respond I hear you know what I going to the back amd clean yell if you need me bye.On top of that chicken breast is 4.99 a pound .
Just bought some fresh fruit, my favs PineApples & Watermelon. Nice Fresh & Delicious. I ❤ me some nice fresh fruit. The Pavillion Store Associate Team U All R The Bombay Diggity. This Fruit Is On Point, I Tell U This Nice Fresh Cold Fruit Hit The Spot. Mmmmm Mmmmm Yum Yum Yummmy😍😍😍😍, Thank U. B Safe, Stay Safe Stay Blessed 1 ❤Much ❤Much Respect!!!!
Specifically the Rotisserie Chicken out since 8:30 was wide open bag at 2pm, Turkey breast looked like dried bacon from 10am at 2pm. I mentioned to staff stocking that stand standingnext to it. I mentioned the age & opened bag. She said oh they heat up and pop open. I watched, she chose to do nothing. I walked by 15 min later on way to check out, it was still there wide open. Lack of accountability by Pavillions team members, not my job attitude.
Super cool pavilions. Black people that work there are kinda rude to other blacks but nice to whites Asian and hispanic. Its weird. But hey manager there is cool. Cool ladyWe kept running into each other cause she restocking store and I was looking for tissue and the basics. Have a huge selection of produce currently. I cant speak for later... thank you maam for being respectful. Tall black guy that kept getting in your way.
This is a very clean organized and mellow store to go to. I have anxiety and it’s not overly crowded all the time like some stores allowing me to get all of my shopping done on days that other times I would think impossible. But because I’m unbothered by the anxiety I can easily maneuver thru such a nice store that has a really great vibe
Nice meat department. One of the best meat departments in the area. Pavilions meat manager needs to go to its sister store, Vons, at Woodruff and Carson and teach them how to take care of a meat department. I would have given this store five stars, except that they seem to sometimes be a little short staffed at times.
I love having my groceries delivered. Ugh, yet you guys really need to get your act together with website. Prices on web dont match the ad. Customer number is useless. Its a private service that isnt Pavillions. Cant answer questions. I was ordering once a week. Now Im back to going to the grocery store by my house which us not affiliated with Pavillions, Vons or Albertsons. I really liked the service I hope they get ut together.
It was not Vons per say it was Panda Express. Customer service was not so great. I had to suggest everything and the girl was in such a hurry to eat I had to ask for Teriaki sauce, the sweet and sour sauce for the cheese filled things but she was sure to ask for a donation / too. The egg rolls and the cheese filled pastry looked burn. I said I would not return after my friend first took me there about 6 months ago and the Asian young girl rolled her eyes when my friend was asking questions. But now I know to stick to the one I know.
Mostly good store. Definitely the most expensive supermarket in the area. Also, the store doesn’t practice social distancing. There is someone standing at the door regulating the number of people inside, but you have to get within 2-3 feet of them to enter and exit the store. Put that person outside!
I went to Pavilions because I had discovered, purely by mistake, that they have got the best donuts. During the recent Monopoly contest I received some tickets that said Instant Winner of either a free donut or bagel. Since I just happen to be at Pavilions, I went back to their Bakery Department to see what they had and they had some wonderful looking donut so I decided to take one. It was the biggest the juiciest donut, just the best. So if you ever have a donut craving, I would definitely suggest that u go 2 Pavilions and try 1 of their yummy donuts. I think you will be happy that you did.
Great place with broad selections of items that fit our lifestyle. We have been coming here for over 10 yrs, but always has been pretty empty. Always wondered why its so empty, which I dont mind. Its the employees and management. I guess as long as you dont need to talk or ask for something its fine. Otherwise, Ralphs or Starter bros. Lol
This is a grocery store but not a pharmacy! The pharmacy is lame.Pharmacy at this location doesn’t care what patients care.Pharmacy held prescription for 11 days forgot to fill till patient called to follow up.Pharmacy made empty promises on the same prescriptions arriving schedule then asked patient to suffer with no medicine but wait for another 7 days to pray for arrival.Maybe Pharmacy staff in health field for a long time, patients suffer is a routine seen, so they dont care if medicine arrives on time for treatment.
Food is fine, however today (Saturday) at 830 am - only express check stand oopen. Twenty people in line. Finally they open one more lane. People start moving into the express checkout from way at the back of the line. Lots of arguing and pushing.I serioiusly (well none of us does) do not need this ever much less at that time of day.I was so so close to leaving my basket and going to Stater Bros.Next time I will.
Ryan at Pavilions Starbucks is A Knowledgeable Starbucks Barista, hes been a Power House for Years, an Awesome Job !! Yolanda is a great Checker and You cant get better than Greg bagging your Groceries and assisting out to your car to pack your Groceries ! PRODUCE DEPT does n Awesome Job, the Bakery bakes fresh Breads, cookies, cakes etc., Deli has Awesome Salads , meats , plus cheese. The Butchers are Always there to Serve whatever you need ..I LOVE All of the Staff at Pavilions❤❤
Ive shopped at this store for more than 20 years, and have always been happy with my shopping experience. Unfortunately the customer service at this location has gone down hill very quickly. They have 2 ladies working as supervisors on the front end and neither of them have any customer service skills at all. They have recently changed store managers, and this new manager is Never on the floor, and ive yet to set eyes on him or her. And this is probably the reason for the poor customer service. Its very unfortunate ..,. i have several friends that refuse to shop here any longer because of the way they have been treated. And its sad to say, but ill probably be taking my business to Ralphs too. The service by there 2 front end supervisors is lousy, its offensive and ive about had enough of it. Cmon Pavilions its your customer service that set you apart from all the other stores to begin with. I wish someone would pay attention to the long droopy faces, who cannot smile or be kind to any of your customers.****very dissatisfied *******
Pavilions has been my neighborhood go to for 21 years now, but tonight I went there to get a bottle of gin and some tonic for me and some buddies waiting at home, the man at the register refused to sell to me after I stumbled once in the store, claiming I was too intoxicated to sell too. I dont know where this guy gets off, on his tiny amount of power thinking he can refuse me service when I am getting a ride home back to my own house. After 21 years I am seriously considering taking my business elsewhere anytime I need groceries. The clerk was some guy in his late 30s with slicked back black hair who thought he was so entitled. I am THOROUGHLY disappointed in pavilions, seeing as I only had 3 beers before I went there and had a ride home with me at the store. I seriously hope they rethink their employees.
When you are a single mom with your hungry child getting out of school. Your EBT card is acting up. An employee says that they can punch it in manually. But the manager gives you a stuck up face and makes you feel unwelcome. Like you are worthless!! Then tells the employee that they cant do that!! That the employee is not allowed to do that. Thank you for letting my child go home hungry!!

2022-03-07Grocery order pick up is on the backside of Pavilions. On Woodruff and Los Coyotes. Once you know where its at, its a very seamless process. Staff is always super nice.

2022-06-14After all these years pavilions is still hard to beat. A lot of niche stores have moved into the area, whole foods, browns, world market, Ill try to diversify and have excellent produce as well as foodPavilions has incredible variety, quality, and for two decades they have remained top class. Highly recommend. You will find everything here.

2022-06-01I was attending my friends celebration of life and needed sandwiches for 70 people in the next couple of hours. I came in and met Angelica in the Deli department, who informed me that she had gotten my message from her co-worker about the event, and already figured out a game plan to get it done! Her voice and ready-to-help attitude gave me a feeling of calm and relief. I returned in less than a couple of hours, and my order was beautifully displayed, stacked, and ready to go with condiments. The sandwiches were delicious, and I couldnt be more grateful to Angelica and the team at Pavilions! She went above and beyond the call of duty. Truly, I feel she was heaven-sent, and just as her name connotes. Thank you so very much! You made my day!

2022-03-06Meh. Not a big fan. High prices. Marginal service. And they never seem to have everything I need. I find this frustrating because they are such a huge store, yet its the one large grocery chain where I routinely cannot get everything on my very average shopping list.
