Terrible!!!! Ordered snow peas/ chicken- and Kung pao with tomato base sauce.yum! instead of all snow pease they added filler with crunchy squash. No flavor! Very expensive! extremely disappointing!! Only thing Chinesey was the box it came in. Never again!!!
Nice place overall. A bit overloaded staff so dont expect intrigued services! Food was very good! A lot of food and decent pricing. It would likely get a 5-Star with a little more warmer and personal table services. To their credit, this evaluation was based in a busy time of Saturday night.
The favorite for the wife and I for a mellow and relaxed sit-down Chinese dining. The hidden nature of the location ensures a very quiet dining experience. The uniquely-tasty hot and sour soup is the best in town. All the food is made with obvious care and quality ingredients. Living literally right down the street, we feel spoiled having our neighborhood restaurant so close by. Excellent for dating and for established couples. The price:quality ratio is fabulous. Highly recommended.
The best Chinese restaurant in the county! Why? Because they dare to be DIFFERENT. Everything you think you know about Chinese food is wrong here. They twist up all your favorite dishes in deliciously tasty new directions. It might be a few vegetables you usually dont see with a dish, or it might be a slightly different preparation, or even a totally different sauce. The thing is, their success rate is phenomenal. All the changes they make are without fail for the better.My favorites? The sizzling rice soup, the Szechuan chicken, and the fried rice(all the variations). Eat here, youll be happy. They expose other Chinese restaurants for the uninspired, boring places that they are.
Great Chinese food at a great place! Staff make you feel welcome and comfortable. We went last Sunday for Dinner. We ordered the Lemon Chicken, Wor Wonton Soup and Hunan Beef, everything is wonderful!
Amazing food. Some of the best orange chicken Ive ever had. Great pork fried rice. They truly care that ur foods as good as it can be. They keep the orange sauce separate so ur chicken doesnt get soggy and the chicken is fried to PERFECTION!!! Seriously its fried to perfection. If ur foods to-go they open two of the flaps so that ur food doesnt steam itself to death inside the to-go containers. Love this place.

These two took it over many years ago, like decades and I’ve watched it get better and better to the point that it’s ridiculous.I’m outside right now waiting, no salivating for my Chinese chicken salad which can’t be ordered any where else lest I experience total disappointment.The high quality ingredients and the time honored processes by which they prepare their dishes puts the them neck and neck or surpassing the now defunct (due to the ludicrous endorsement of a sociopath. My wife was gluten free when we went here on vacation. Theres no quality GF food places in Springfield, MO, so we were naturally wary of the quality of GF. This place, you cant tell the difference between regular and GF.Weve since given up GF, but still miss this food.
I ordered some carry out for my lunch today and it was great. I ordered the veggie chow mein, pork steamed buns, potstickers, and broccoli beef. I will definitely order again.
Orange chicken, hard and very dry.Egg foo yun horrible and greasy.Eggplant......all mushy, no eggplant.Too much corn starch in all ingredients.Worst Chinese food ever.....take out and was $125.
Our two favorites on the vast menu: Tomato based sizzling rice soup and Combination fried rice!!We have never had a bad meal or experience.
Have been a long time in house and take out customer. Hot & Sour soup is always good, but some to the other offerings have had some ups and downs. Plus prices continue to rise.......
With the demise of King Schwan, and Golden Buddha, the Panda Inn is one of the few remaining Chinese restaurants with what seems to me to be authentic cuisine prepared with fresh ingredients, rather than canned/frozen vegetables.
The dishes they prepare are superb. The vegetable are fresh and cooked al dente on the Hunan beef. The other dish that my wife and I tried is the kung Pau chicken, which was delicious!
Good food and prompt service. Some of the best Chinese Food I have had. Easy take out as well. Quaint setting for dine in also.

A good Chinese restaurant in this area, the shrimp is all wild, very fresh. And the crispy shredded beef with spicy sauce is soooo good!!!

Been going to Panda Inn for decades. Its always excellent. Casual atmosphere, good service, and good food. To me this is one of the best Chinese restaurants in the county.
I was there with a large group and we ordered almost everything on the menu. With one exception (the mushu pork pancakes) all the food was excellent.

Very respectable Chinese food in Aptos -- I love the atmosphere in this place -- very unexpected and its a hidden gem in many ways. While its by far not the best Ive had, for the area, its very good.

2021-01-22California Hip Hop artist SpenDoe is back with another food review! My favorite Chinese restaurant, ever! I have been coming to this restaurant since I was a kid. This place hasnt changed one bit, and I love it. The chicken fried rice, ginger beef, and sweet & sour chicken are my favorites. The atmosphere is cozy, and they have outdoor seating. Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions, all orders are for take-out only at this time. The staff is always friendly, and the food is always fresh, and amazing. Support your local businesses!

2022-04-23I havent ate here since I was a child. My gf reminded me of this place and Im glad she did. I havent had one bad or subpart dish. Their soups are full of ingredients. Amazing broths full of taste. I usually stick to a couple items ordering Chinese food but I can tell everything they make is gonna be delicious. Best pork fried rice Ive ever had. Pork are not bits they chunks unlike any other chinese restaurant.Once you eat here you are not gonna want to go back to any other Chinese place in Santa Cruz. Prices may be on the higher end but the quality speaks for itself.

2022-06-07They claim they don’t have a public bathroom yet they are open to the PUBLIC! The food was terrible and the staff members were beyond rude. Someone should teach them how to be a better cook and have a better attitude. Google should allow us to give no stars for a review because that’s what they deserve.

2022-03-14Make sure you get the fried won tons with the hoison sause. They are delicious! They also serve BBQ pork buns (yummy!) and fried eggrolls. The sweet & sour shrimp is a delicacy, served differently than in other restaurants but well worth it.

2021-11-08My family and I have been eating here for over 20 years and have loved their high quality Chinese food—i believe 5 years back or so they were recognized with an award as one of the best Chinese restaurants in CA. BUT unfortunately the quality has noticeably declined. The food isn’t as good and service isn’t as helpful of efficient. I know times are tough during COVID and having good employees is hard to come by, but the quality SHOULD NOT SUFFER. I’m having doubts after all these years of patronage that I’ll go back again.

2021-10-29Fairly good Chinese food and a relaxed atmosphere, only annoyance was that I wanted some spicy food and with almost every Chinese place I have gone to they never make it spicy enough. Great dinner spot though.
