Unfortunately we recently switched to medi-cal so my husband needed a prior authorization for a root canal. The authorization was approved and we got called to make appointment. My husband had the root canal done, then minutes after he was told that the crown isn’t covered and it would be 1000 dollars. If we were told beforehand we wouldn’t have had the procedure done until we had the money for the crown. We are really upset about this. There is no point of a root canal without a crown! Please explain the out of pocket expenses before performing procedures so we have the ability to make an informed decision!
The best dental service in San Diego County. My family and I have been coming here for years and trust no one else with the care of my teeth. The staff is the best!! They make you feel very special. They are thorough, professional and friendly. From the sweet ladies in the front desk to the dental assistants to the dentists. Pacific Dental keep up the great work.
I hate the dentists all my life. These people are the worst - they helped break up my marriage. I asked them to stop sending me mail. To please cease and desist calling. They are a real nightmare I shall never forget. They still call and send mail.

Was nervous about switching to PPO. They thoroughly cleaned my teeth and gums, but were not transparent about pricing! One of their front desk ladies showed me the out-of-pocket price before they began. She said that this was what I needed to pay in order to get my teeth cleaned (insurance was only covering the polish??). When I looked at the itemized receipt AFTER my cleaning, they charged me for laser bacteria removal, fluoride, and a bunch of other completely unnecessary things! I am disappointed that I wasn’t more vigilant with reading other reviews before coming here. Will not return..
Having not going to the dentist in many years and I had a horrible pain in my mouth I searched for a local dentist. My insurance company provided me a list. I chose Pacific Dental Group. I needed a root canal. After they worked on me I had no pain after and all the employees here have a great attitude and they are very professional. I now have a great dentist practice I have been going to and I’m very happy with their services provided

The doctor is so sweet as well as the dentist assistant I forgot both their names. They let me know everything about the treatment before doing anything which helped a lot with my nerves. They were very welcoming and informative :) I did wait a while to be seen but it was close to closing time so that was very understandable. They had tvs and even gave me the remote and one of the assistants gave me water and was very attentive and friendly! would recommend this place to my friends and family for sure.
They are wonderful! I have been going to this particular office since I was a teenager and Im now in my 30s. They are always so gentle, kind and patient. Theyve always eased my worries about the procedures Ive had and I had the best experience getting my braces through them. I’ve been going to this dental office for over 8 years. I wish it was much longer than that. Dr. Maroon is awesome!! She knows how to explain everything and recommends the best way to take care of your mouth, not just your teeth. She always has your best interest in mind and I always feel at ease when visiting. I’ve had my wisdom teeth taken out by Dr. Maroon, as well as had some cavities filled. In each case everything went smoothly and with very little to no discomfort. I had to make a check up and, after having visited a first horrible (and expensive) dentist, I came here. The staff is awesome, very friendly and they really take care of you. They listen you, they really are attentive to the pain you have, they take the time they need to make sure everything is ok and give a lot of advices. If you have a pain, you can have an appointment very fast. I also came with my daughter of 4 years old who was super afraid in France to show her teeth and here, she did it with no fear. I really recommend that place.

I’ve been coming here with my mom and brother for over 15 years! It’s a family outting for us sometimes. As a child I was privileged enough to never have horror stories about the dentist or any reason to dread getting my teeth checked because everyone in this office (from the reception area to the doctor) was wonderful. As an adult, I would plan visits from Oakland just to get my teeth cleaned here! I have only ever had the best experiences with Dr. Maroon and her team at Pacific Dental and I will continue to come here because of familiarity and comfort. My teeth look and feel great all the time and I never feel like I can’t have things taken care of because of the prices (which is another reason to start coming and keep coming back).Nothing but love for the ladies at Pacific Dental!
Ive been going here almost my whole nice. Everyone is so sweet, funny, and caring. They were very sweet when my braces or retainers broke, and were very flexible to get them fixed. I highly recommend to all.
I ve had bad experiencesIn the past with going to the dentist. However, having been referred to Pacific Dental Group, and having my anxiety addressed has helped me feel comfortable, how could I not comeback. One time there was a mix up with my insurance and rather then get upset like most places do , the receptionist really worked with me to resolve the issue although it took a few times on both our ends to see there was a miscommunication but it worked out well. The atmosphere is welcoming that means a lot these days with so many unfriendly people but not here. Plus I see kids here too which means it has to be kid friendly as well. Which is why I’ve switched my kids over. So far I’ve referred about 7 people and for the most part they’ve been happy too!
Want to have a dazzling smile and actually enjoy going to the dentist? This is the place. My family and I have been going here for 18 years and I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. No, it is not some huge operation with all of the games and gadgets that can be seen at the super places. But that is not why we go to the dentist anyway. It is ultra modern and up to date in just the right ways. Dr. Maroon is more than a dentist. Actually, she is the ultimate Dental Warrior Princess! (That is higher ranking than a super dentist!). She is also a cosmetic dentist genius. She has helped three generations in my family have beautiful, health mouths. The support staff is also amazing. From making appointments, keeping records straight, greeting genuinely at the door, etc...they make it like home. I seriously would not recommend another dentist to any of my family and friends. My smile is proof enough that this is the best place for teeth!

I never write reviews but I wanted to share my expierence with this dentist. I started going to P.D at the age of 17/18 and I am glad I never returned after I switched dentists at 21. My recent dentist was shocked at the repairs done to my teeth by them, he considered it to be criminal. Turns out they were crowning my teeth with outdated materials that severely effected my teeth. NOT COOL.Receptionists were often rude and I was left in the dark right before my procedures, its your job to tell me what youre going to do to my teeth IN DETAIL even if i dont ask. As a patient never put up with this B.S. please. You deserve better.A RESPONSE to owner. My last name was different.Your office still calls me asking to make appointments. Please dont lie
Dr. Manijeh Maroon did and excellent job on my root canal and crown today. Felt no pain. She even said in 31 years of dentistry she has never seen a case like mine. Most people have 3 root nerves. I had 4. I would recommend her to everyone.

Been coming here for about 15 years with all my grandchildren. My oldest grandsons did ortho here with Dr.Marron his teeth are perfect and beautiful.My other two grandchildren are next to start ortho as soon as there ready for ortho . I also bring my 2yr old here never had a problem. I will never change my dental office for no reason. All the stuff is great and nice .

Been coming here for 6+ years. Ive never, in any way, been treated negatively in my experience with this office. Im always treated genuinely and am always referred to by name by everyone in the office. They have never made me feel uncomfortable and there has never been one instance where Ive questioned the integrity of anybody here. The reviews here seem to be blown out of proportion and are offensive to me because I know that Ive always been in good hands here. Ive never been wronged by this office and they always let me work out financial options that fit my specific needs. I recommend this dental office all the time.

We have been with Dr. Maroon for 12 years. She is as much a wonderful person as an excellent dentist. We live in NM but would not leave her practice for a million dollars.
Horrible customer service with one of the front desk ladies, she has bad attitude, seems like shes always in a bad mood, she didnt greet nor didnt she hold open the door for us. There was only one doctor to attend so many patients. Got out after four hours. They dont know how to clean your teeth right nor do the fillings correctly. I had pain for 3 weeks and had to go back to get it fixed. I do not recommend this office.

I thought they valued customers and 15 yrs of loyalty. instead when I refered my boyfriend now husband..they made sure to use every dollar of care credit he was approved for. Mostly cosmetic work that he did not need done. He asked to only do what was necessary and instead they took advantage of him. When I called to talk to the office manager I never got a call back. Never going back and will never recommend them. So disappointing!
I thank these beautiful woman that GOD has created. there group was very, very ,nice, receptionist, assistance, then in came the real Dr. Maroon. she came in checked out my mess in my mouth we discussed it and she got down to the real nitty gritty. Not no halve stepping. she shake rattled and rolled them teeth right out. I give her a 10 star recommendation!! !! ! Im new in the area and where I come from it was always a big ole run around. come back. got to get approved, make another appointment,,, on N on, so my grill [teeth] got worse n worse. 2021-04-30I appreciate the staff at Pacific Dental so much! I was able to get an appointment in short notice, to remove an impacted tooth, much to my relief! Dr. Maroon was very conforming and efficient. Her dental assistants were instructive with my at-home self care. The personal attention I received made my visit pleasant. Being new to the Chula Vista community, I feel fortunate to have found this dental office.

2021-04-07Great Dental experience, Seen promptly, great customer service. I had been looking for a dentist where your seen at your scheduled time & they are Great!! Other places I waited over 2 hrs & was never see or got called at the other place so I left But here at Pacific Dental its very easy scheduling & seen Right on time with No wait at all. Very happy & pleased & have been coming for over a year & a half now, very happy & the best part they take many insurances that most people dont know they even do take!

2021-08-21I have had plenty of experiences with dental care and treatment from a few dental offices as well as working in the medical field and I have to say my experience with Pacific Dental has been by far the BEST.The staff are always so welcoming from the moment you walk into the office to checking out. I had such a great experience with my care and treatment. I had a root canal in the past that did not go so well with another dental office/dentist that left me a bit worried. So when I found out I needed another root canal on another tooth I became really stressed because of the last experience. But I had nothing to worry about because this experience was by far a very POSITIVE one.I was experiencing a lot of pain with my tooth. Dr. Maroon took the time to be very clear and explain the options I had. My tooth ended up being cracked which was why I had so much pain. The last resort was an extraction in which I ended up needing due to how deep the crack was.Dr. Maroon tried everything to save the tooth but because of how the crack was it had to be extracted. The dentist office completely refunded my money for the root canal, without questions because the tooth could not be saved. I had some difficulties getting numb which was another worry of mine as well as the experiences I had in the past with other dentists. No not here, the dentist walked me thru each step and ensured that I had nothing to worry about. It went so well because of the care and effort that was taken to making sure I was pain free and most of all comfortable. Dr. Maroon took the time to call to see how I was doing . You don’t find that now a days in dental offices. To be honest, most are out to just make money but I have had nothing but the BEST experience with Pacific Dental.There is literally nothing to critique here as this would be the only place I would go too, to get my dental care. My daughter, husband and sister in law also go to Pacific Dental and they also have had nothing but positive experiences. I would recommend family, friends and anyone who is looking for a honest, clean, and positive dental experience to go there. As you will have no regrets.The staff and most of all the dentists Dr. Maroon and Dr. Lomahan as well as the assistants are all so amazing. You don’t have to be worried about being charged for something that is not needed, the office is clean and safe. I literally have nothing to say about this dental office but being a very satisfied dental patient !

2021-08-25I’ve been bringing my three children to this dentist office for years. I absolutely love their kindness towards all of my children. I also love the fact that it is all women dentist and dental assistance. They provide excellent service and they treat us like family!

2021-07-17My previous review was a 5 star & so shall this one. I am a Google guide(star by pic). I usually give reviews, that are 5 star delicious. However, My dental office has impressrd me so much with their professional, yet very friendly attitude. Having had a lot of work done, with minimal to no pain, these ladies are great at what they do. Timely appointments and always a great office atmosphere. Thank you ladies & Dr. Maroon.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

2021-06-02From the moment I walked in the door the staff made me feel like i was someone special. Very professional. The doctor is so detailed and always expressive on what she is doing. I would and will recommend to all my family and friends. Witch they came highly recommended by other patients. 5 stars from me.

2021-03-02I wish I could say that my experience was superb but it was NOT.I was greeted upon entry from the front office and that Dental Assistant was gentle, attentive and pleasant, but the doctor NOT so.I had no idea she was even the doctor because she failed to introduce herself. She didnt acknowledge or review my past dental history with me, didnt talk to me about my anxiety and how offer the slightest concern to help make my experience not scary.She came in, and just start looking at my teeth and comparing to X-rays, calling out work and what needed an authorization to the dental assistant. Then she left the room and didnt return. The dental assistant is the staff member that talked to me about and saw me out.I had already made my decision that I would not return when the doctor didnt introduce herself.Ive been a healthcare worker for 20 plus years and Ive seen ER doctors dealing with multiple trauma patients be more sincere and compassionate.Dr. Melissa needs coaching on being caring and compassionate or maybe shes in the wrong industry. A degree cant change your heart and yesterday I left Pacific Dental disappointed and not pleased.

2020-07-02I am forever grateful with Pacific Dental for such excellent service and amazing staff. My previous dental experience at a different dental office was so horrible that I went 2 years without treatment. From day one at Pacific Dental they have been nothing short of helpful and wonderful at easing my trauma of getting dental work done to the point where I am not nervous or fearful to even walk into their office for my appointments. Cynthia, Stacey, And Anahí are ONLY a few of the staff members I can name whom have contributed to turning my dental nightmares into such a positive experience in each of my appointments!! Can’t thank them enough!!

2021-02-12The staff is always so pleasant and professional. My services start in a timely manner and done with care. I really love this dental office! Even my oldest daughter continues to see them as an adult.
